IPL betting case: Thane police recovers betting rates from Sonu Jalan’s mobile for SRH vs DD game

IPL Betting Case: Police have recovered the betting rates of Indian Premier League 2018 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Daredevils from the phone of Sonu Jalan, the bookie who was recently arrested in the high-profile betting case.

In a fresh development related to the ongoing IPL betting case, the Thane AEC has managed to recover few snapshots of betting rates from the mobile phone of Sonu Jalan – the mastermind behind the entire scandal, of matches from 11th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). The screenshots of the rates are from match 36 of the 11th edition between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Daredevils.

Sonu, who is likely to be summoned regarding the matter along with others bookies, claimed that the screenshots were from the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Daredevils. While the rates for SRH was Rs 1.68, the rates for Daredevils was 2.46. While Sonu added that many of his clients placed bets on the match, he refused to reveal any names.

Earlier, in an FIR, Ritesh Hasmukh Shah – a 39-year-old businessman from Thane accused Sonu and five other bookies of extortion and threatening him with murder. Ritesh said that Sonu, along with Munir Khan, Junior Kolkata (Surendra Bagri), Kiran Mala, Ketan Tanna (alias Raja) and Ravi Sulayya Pujari threatened to kill him.

Along with the bookies, a former cop and his brother are also under the scanner for their alleged role in the betting incident. As per sources, former cop Sohail Buddha transferred Rs 2 crore in Sonu's account and the latter was using his brother's car. The sources added that Sohail helped Sonu get in touch with present days police officers post which Sonu recorded their conversation and used it for blackmailing purpose.

In a shocking development, Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan agreed to have placed bets on IPL matches for six years. Arbaaz revealed that he was in touch with Sonu and the latter was threatening him as he owed him Rs 2.8 crore. Arbaaz also agreed to cooperate with the police regarding the incident.

Just a bed story: my partner, since I've known them, has been more or less constantly tired and in pain. I go to visit them for the first time (it was a long distance relationship). I flop on their bed. I look at them and promptly ask why, exactly, did they think they were ouchy all the time?

It came out that the thing was well over a decade old, and a hand me down from a relative. It had completely broken down, you were basically laying on the slats anywhere but the very edges. They'd had that same mattress since they were about 12 and they're now almost 22.

Needless to say I dragged them to Walmart that same day and bought them a mattress. Yes, it's a mattress in a box, but I figured literally anything was better than what they'd been sleeping on. And tbf it was one of the nicer ones Walmart carries, not one of the crappy $80 ones.

They are nowhere near as ouchy when they wake up now. I am looking forward to moving in together in a year or two and taking them shopping for their first real mattress and watching them experience sleeping on something suited to their body for basically the first time in their life. I will be using a lot of the advice from this blog when we go shopping too, so thank u for posting about it!

They may have their similarities (aka, they are both crazy), but they have many things to set them apart, too! They're both crazy, but they also both have some sense of their own (just in different ways).

Rating Star Trek TOS costumes because why not! (part 3)

The Squire of Gothos (1x17). I wish I had half as much fun doing anything as this dandy did fucking with the crew of the Enterprise. The costume is fun and very cheap-looking but that goes without saying when it comes to TOS. Sure wish they'd given him pants that matched though, 7/10.

Arena (1x18). If you don't like this costume then chances are you take TOS too seriously. Just look at it! This is camp, mama. His stiff plastic face, his lifeless eyes, his gratuitously buff body, that shiny little dress and fingerless leather gloves. Whoever they had wearing that thing in the blaring California sun was braver than any US marine. I love him, 100/10.

Court Martial (1x20) I'm into the 23rd century schoolgirl vibe of it all but this costume looks cheap even by TOS standards and something about the cut is very awkward. 4/10.

Also from Court Martial and man the costuming department was letting these ladies down. Areel is a classy broad but this dress is not it; it just kind of looks like a giant handkerchief. 5/10.

The Return of the Archons (1x21). Silly little outfit brigade reporting for duty! They look like they're in a school play 😭😭 Adorable with just a hint of dashing, 8/10.

A Taste of Armageddon (1x23). Someone needs to tell this man he's wearing a potato sack, though judging by his expression he already knows. 1/10.

These costumes are incredibly goofy but my favorite part is the background actors desperately clinging to their dignity, a battle that was lost the minute they put those hats on. 7/10.
