God, there’s nothing funnier than the universal switch that happens when you’re like 12 and you still wanna play games like tag/hide and seek but you also think you’re too old for it, so you invent a NEW game. It’s not hide and seek anymore, it’s MANHUNT and it’s COOLER and you play it at NIGHT because you’re a BIG KID that can be out after dark.

im glad smosh vs christmas can stick true to its hallmark movie roots by having at least one or two moments that without fail, leave me staring at the screen in bemused confusion going "wait, you guys are concerned about romance RIGHT NOW?"
(although this was def at least partly for the bit) (which i can appreciate)
in my defense. the murders, guys. the murders. youve just untied carol. crossbow bolts might still be flying. santa has a sword.
in THEIR defense, carol punching mrs ornamente in the face before she can stab scott in the back WAS the hottest thing imaginable so scott is valid for that reaction after, at least. fair enough.

#kingdom hearts 2#kh2#twilight town#scenery#my gif#i didn't really know how to go about making this set because this world is big and has a lot of nice locations#but as i was putting them together i realized that the most recognizable areas would probably work best for a post like this#because other rooms like the usual place or the underground tunnels or the woods felt out of place somehow#maybe i'll make a part 2 and showcase some other areas...#anyways the devs sure do know how to make the original non-disney worlds stand out#just wandering around in this world puts me at ease but also gives me a feeling of sadness#that perfect feeling of nostalgia#or perhaps the prologue for this game is so strongly written that it'll always leave a lasting effect

is it too much of a reach to say that zelda being reduced to basically an object to farm items from in totk just kinda adds more salt to the wound of how badly shes treated?
#ganondoodles talks#zelda#totk#i know im nitpicking#but i have talked about the big problems alot already#and now i start to see the smaller thingy that dont feel good#i guess you could see it as well if she wasnt farmable for items it would be weird compared to the other dragons#or that you are supposed to realize that you have been farming items from your best friend the whole time is to mean something#or maybe its just a game mechanic#i knew super early that the dragon was zelda#and when i saw i need items from her to upgrade my armor i was like .... im not gonna shoot out heR TEETH WTF#good thing she remembers nothing i guess#so she doesnt have to cope with the fact that link kept shooting off her scales - claws - teeth and horns#god i just want to see her have agency for once#and no i dont count begging unnamed faceless champion mcguffin guys to do a swear or dragonfying herself when she had no other option#thats not a character moving the plot but the plot shoving around a character imo#i want to see her go around HER hyrule and talk to people- solve mysteries- get more competent at defending herself- actively doing anythin#gnawing on wood as we speak

Ive had this legitimate conspiracy theory since I heard the rumor back in 2019 that the Child's Play remake was supposed to be an original plot before being adapted into a remake that there are people out there wanting to make original horror movies but some executive keeps going "well, it probably won't sell unless it's under the name of an existing franchise" and slapping a new name on them
Because what do you mean the Until Dawn movie is going to have none of the same characters, plot elements, or even setting
What do you mean it's about an entirely different cast with an entirely new plot
I could understand if they just wanted to make a movie within the Dark Pictures Anthology and realized that the name might turn people away because of the poor game reception, but why pretend it was ever going to be Until Dawn

Just in case you're wondering: I'm still on my Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 (and now Avowed as well) holiday and I'm so in love with this game that I'm basically playing it every free minute of my day... which kind of interferes with me making gifs or even just watching BL - so I've decided to take a short break from both until I see the KCD2 credits roll.
After which I'll probably start a fresh replay of the first game immediately but that shouldn't interfere with my gifmaking duties. 🙏
#jane watches stuff#(or not)#it's got to the point where i just get sad about “having” to watch something when i could instead be playing kcd2#which is ridiculous of course#so i'll just let my new hyperfixation run its course#and it's not even just about henryhans#it's honestly the best game i've played in a very long time#the amount of love i have for this game is ridiculous#most of the time i just take my pixel horse for a slow ride through the pixel woods#and it reminds me so much of home and of the summers here#and tbh it's also probably not much of a surprise how burned out i am from having to keep up with a dozen shows each week and making gifs#it's become quite a chore even though i still love bl and giffing very much#so a little break/reset will probably do me good#stay delightfully queer everyone ilu very much 💜💜💜
