#spotify wrapped my beloved <3 #i love finding out which song i streamed over 300 times in a year #it reminds me how mentally stable i am HAHAHAHA #2023 it was 'like real people do' by hozier (clocking in at 354 plays)#2022 it was 'new constellations' by ryn weaver (clocking in at 500 plays)#2021 it was 'pierre' by ryn weaver (clocking at at 232 streams)#and then 2020 i'm 100% sure it was 'sex' by eden #double-checked and i was right #i have no screenshots from 2016 to 2020 tho #but i love yapping about music so i will be telling you what the top songs were #2016 was 'ode to sleep' by twenty one pilots (i was 13?)#2017 was 'hold on' by chord overstreet #2018 was 'the last of the real ones' by fall out boy #2019 top song is something i don't speak about so you'll get my 2nd song of the year #which was 'hearts' by jessie ware #but these songs i still stand by to this day #i will yap about them and i know every goddamn lyric and will scream them #MANIA is not one of fob's best albums but idc #last of the real ones slaps SO HARD #it lived rent free in my brain for so long and still does #i would jam the fuck out to it #i literally have a playlist called “reliving my (not so) emo years” and i will sing those songs like im 13/14 again #anyway yap over #on call [rambles]

hiiiiiii yes it's called Ride the Cyclone :) i've been listening to all the different versions of the songs all day...they r just stuck in my head i think.

speaking of heads. her head comes off bc the premise of the musical is that they all die in a freak roller coaster accident! and while the other kids die relatively intact, her body is found without a head. the musical is set in the afterlife, and she's nicknamed "Jane Doe" because no one (including her) can remember who she is. (there's other reasons too, technically, but i'm incapable of being concise so i'll leave it there) anyway, she kinda looks like a doll because she took on the head of a doll (i'm unsure if she was carrying it around with her prior to the accident, but she carries it around during the musical) in lieu of her own missing head.

anyways if u wanna watch it, here're the links to two different versions:

(the second one, "hop on the roller coaster of fate" is from 2018 i think? and is the cast most widely known, it's also my favorite version :)

the first, "ride the cyclone mccarter theatre" is from 2022 and has my favorite version of one of the characters, Ricky, who is written as a disabled character in the show, and in this version is played by a disabled actor, Yannick-Robin Eike Mirko. but that cast is considered controversial bc the rest of the cast and crew were extremely abelist. and the theater allegedly fired them for "being too disabled." so. yeah.)

LMFAO #also. u could just watch the ballad of jane doe. which is her song. it's very very good and very very sad. i'd rec. watching the #performance bc the choreography is SO good and it really enhances the whole thing. but the cast recording is also pretty good!!#rtcm #emyrs.txt #ALSO. i like the 2018 cast the best bc gus as mischa is SO good. like i feel like in other versions the actors really exaggerate mischa's #accent but w gus it feels pretty natural. also i love his mannerisms. gus (2 me at least) reads really genuine.#also thank u 4 asking about it i love u. btw. ok bye :)

omg when forestella covered legends never die on immortal songs someone said is this a forshadowing for worlds in korea this year and i did not believe because forestella's music and riot's music are very different and the fanbases are basically 2 different circles

but why am i just now seeing hyungho also covered rise at their seoul concert a couple months ago?!!! this was around the same time as their immortal songs too like 2 league songs back to back that's kinda suspicious omg unless he's a fan but why now all of a sudden?! when worlds is heading back to korea ahhh

i don't think they're mainstream enough though but if it manages to happen even if they're not doing the main song i will explode maybe it'll be like a featuring like bobby did for rise

#eurovision #esc #eurovision song contest #poll #polls #here we go again #2006 is the year i find very veeery nostalgic and almost every song (minus maybe four of them) i find good and iconic...#and i remember them like yesterday. i also watched 2007 eurovision when it came out i think and idk about any other...#when norway/alexander rybak/fairytale won i watched that too and i remember 2005 and 2004 esc winner songs for some reason...#2005 winner i get cos it was in 2006 show song again but how i remember 2004 winner? did i watch it then??#haven't watched all years when they 'came out' but started watching again in 2021 cos finland chose good song #i watched when loreen won and also when mans won #and i also remember watching year when netta won and it was 2018 #i think it depended sometimes if finland was in the final... i wasn't that interested if it wasn't #now i have started to watch eurovision more and have already watched years 2000-2022 #maybe will watch earlier years too if i have interest/time or if youtube got videos about the full show #i may be becoming a eurovision fan idk... or at least i am more interested about it... but oh 2006 when lordi won... good times!#best year is 2006... and then 2021... maybe because finland got so many points both years but also... many many good songs and fun times

i've been writing a song for a little while now and i just find the progression from naming it "SONGTITLE_ITERATION" to "[song title] is never finished it just stops moving" and "[st]infijsm 2 electric boogaloo" really funny for some reason

this is the one (1) thing keeping me sane rn

#; the citrus speaks #the best part is that pzinfijsm 2 electric boogaloo is probably the final version LMFAO #i can see why i only ever made the one song in 2018 #and then just died for 5 years #composing is hell #i am proud of how it turned out tho :}#but the context for the name change is like #i told myself i wasn't gonna mess with it anymore #and then i got insecure and messed with it anymore #and since it was only small changes. i just. never bothered to make proper titles #yes the things i thought of were longer than properly titling them #consider: i was so over it at that point #i got into it as i was working on it #and it made it more fun to work on tbh #but when i started i was just like 😐#like i didn't touch this song for a month and then suddenly i decided that it needs more #ok bestie #; lemon's inane ramblings #also naming the individual vocal parts went similarly left lmfao

"got me thinking" is one of jack harlow's earliest and best songs, and seems like it was written....before he graduated high school??? it doesn't sound like what you'd expect from a high school senior. it's both fun to listen to and has lyrical complexity. AND it has my favorite word in it: "subsequently".

#Almost 2 hours straight of Ikegai Shun's voice 😭😭#But oh my godddd they are incredible #When kids 'grow up' listening to only the best music and then *learn* from it 😭#2023.06.27 #(Also I finally when to LIQUIDROOM! 😭🙏)#(I'll post music when I get back to the US)#(I also when through all my posts all my drafts (on all my blogs) looking for what I wrote the last time I saw them but it looks like I #never posted it and deleted the draft. I first saw Yahyel that one time I went to midnight sonic in 2018 but I first saw Ikegai Shun earlie #that day performing glitch with soil and pimp sessions - on a beach - with his most beautiful voice. It blew me awayyyyyy 😭😭😭 I still am #Shocked to this day I'm still moved by how beautiful that experience was 😭🙏 Then later that night at midnight sonic I was exhausted at #Like 2 am and was looking for a place to sit down and I walked past the entrance to the area where yahyel was performing and it shocked me #It was INSANE O_O some of the most incredible music I had ever heard live 😭😭😭#I went in but I was so tired so I sat down at the back and started falling asleep but there music was so awazing 😭😭😭 there was a lot #of space so everyone was dancing and growing crazy and having an amazing time and I so wanted to join them but my body was giving out and #I kept falling asleep 😭😭😭 I was so sad 😥#And then Komu_i just suddenly walked on stage and was like 'Hi~ we have a new song coming out together next month so well play it now 💕'#And it was sooooo incredible 😭😭😭 (you can imaging my shock because I had been trying to stay up all night in order to #see Wednesday Campanella at like 4 am so I just could not believe she suddenly walked out on stage for this random artist's show I #had (literally) stumbled into 😭😭😭#Man that whole experience was just so amazing and it wasn't until a few weeks later that I realized the 'something something Shun' guy who #Performed with soil and pimp was the same person as the guy from yahyel 😭😭😭😭)#(and that's my yahyel story 😅 but I'll never forget how blown away I was the first time I heard them. THEY ARE INCREDIBLE.)
