doctor who series 5 soundtrack slaps harder than any other doctor who soundtrack in my opinion. the eleventh hour alone introduces some of the most beautiful tracks in the show

#madman with a box best song in the show to me #series 7 is also an amazing soundtrack #if i counted series 7 plus day of the doc plus the two christmas specials all as one soundtrack then i would say that is the best #but otherwise s5 is number one #murray gold was working so hard in 2010 #and the genre of the music takes such a dramatic shift as the rtd era ends and moffat era begins #not sure quite the words to describe it — perhaps less traditional orchestral and more emphasis on operatic?#and perhaps relying more on different instruments #something about it dramatically delineates the two eras #s5 has such a distinct musical identity #doctor who
