What Is the Best Time of Year to Visit Nashville?
Best Time of Year to Visit Nashville?
The answer to this question will be different for every person. Different factors go into determining the best time to visit Nashville, and it is generally centered around things like your tolerance for crowds and weather. However, both of those factors also fall under the over-arching factor of things to do in Nashville.
If you want to do the “boot scootin’ boogie” to the best live music in Nashville or enjoy old-fashioned southern cooking with a tall glass of sweet tea, Nashville is the place to be. The bottom line is the types of activities and events you want to engage in, will determine your tolerance for crowds and the weather you’re willing to endure to determine when to visit.
Typically, the most popular time to visit Nashville is in the summer months, June through August, which is when there are all kinds of different events and activities happening throughout the city. But, of course, there are always activities and events happening in Nashville, so no matter what time of year you choose to visit, there will always be something to do and enjoy. It really all depends on what you’re looking to get out of your visit to Music City.
What’s Bringing You to Nashville?
If you’re an “out of towner,” locals will ask you what’s bringing you to Nashville. Maybe you’re celebrating a bachelor or bachelorette party, or maybe you simply love country music and want to take it all in at one of the most famous bars in Nashville – Regardless, having a clear understanding of why you want to visit Nashville and what you expect out of your trip, will help you have an enjoyable experience in the city.
If it’s live country music you want to hear, a quick internet search of “live music venues near me” will get you started in the right direction. You’ll quickly see that there are all kinds of live music venues all over the city, especially in the downtown area. However, when it comes to the best live music and access to up-and-coming new artists, Legend’s Corner is the place you want to be to get a true authentic Nashville musical experience.
At Legend’s Corner, it’s not uncommon for some of country music’s biggest superstars to drop in and grace the stage. Who knows… on your visit, you will not only get to experience some of Nashville’s local talent but there’s also that possibility of seeing some of your favorite country music artists perform live!
Once you’ve figured out why you want to visit Nashville, you can then take a closer look at the factors that will help you determine not only the best things to do in Nashville but also the best time for you to visit the Country Music Capital of the world.
Nashville Weather and Temperatures
Nashville usually has relatively good weather from April to October. According to the local news station WKRN, the monthly average temperatures for June through August are as follows:
June: 87.6 degrees
July: 90.2 degrees
August: 89.7 degrees
As you can see, the Nashville weather year-round are warm for the summer months but not unbearable – These temps are worthy of a trip to Nashville to enjoy live music and outdoor events.
Nashville Crowds
It’s pretty safe to say that Nashville is a very popular travel destination and has crowds all throughout the year, but the crowds are typically lower after the holiday season (January and February). Nonetheless, you’ll still want to look at things to do in Nashville even during those times, as things like New Year’s Eve parties and Tennessee Titans games can bring an influx of people to the city.
Things to Do in Nashville
As there are always things to do in Nashville year-round, summer is hands-down the most popular and best time to visit (for most people), especially if you’re a huge country music fan. When it comes to events and activities to experience during the summer, here’s what you can expect:
CMA Music Festival: One of the biggest country music events in the US presented by the Country Music Association. Big-name country music stars, as well as up-and-coming artists, perform at different venues throughout the city over one weekend.
Tennessee State Fair: Now held in Wilson County (a quick drive from Nashville), where visitors get to experience food, entertainment, and shopping from local vendors.
Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival: A quick drive from Nashville, this festival is held in Manchester, TN and it features over 150 performances from various genres of music artists over four days.
Full Moon Pickin’ Parties: These parties happen in Percy Warner Park where local musicians play bluegrass music every time there is a full moon. Audience members get to listen to live music and indulge in picnic food as well as food truck cuisine.
Red, White, and Zoo: This is an annual wine festival for adults only. There’s live music, local food, and, of course, wine sampling from vineyards from all over the world.
Hot Chicken Festival: Every 4th of July, locals, and visitors can head over to East Park to enjoy live music and hot chicken from the hot chicken competition.
Musician’s Corner: This is a concert free to the public located in Centennial Park that showcases some of Nashville’s most talented musicians. Shows are typically in May and June and then start back up in September.
Nashville Is Waiting for You
Because Nashville is such an awesome place, there’s no right or wrong time to visit. As mentioned before, there are always things to do in Nashville, but if you’re specifically looking for live music in Nashville, then Legend’s Corner is guaranteed to give you just that! When planning your Nashville trip, be sure to check out the Legend’s Corner “Who’s Playin” page to get the most out of your Nashville experience!

Pls, pls, pls I need more WLW book recommendations!!!
Adults, YA, spicy, soft, I don’t care. I just need wlw books because I want to switch from fanfics only to actual books as well
Okay, here we are, enjoy :)
Bright Falls Series by Ashley Herring Blake: 1. Delilah Green Doesn't Care -> Delilah Green swore she would never go back to Bright Falls - nothing is there for her except memories of a lonely childhood - but when Delilah's stepsister pressures her into photographing her wedding with a guilt trip and a large check, Delilah finds herself back in Bright Falls once more. She plans to breeze in and out, but then she sees Claire Sutherland, one of Astrid's stuck-up besties, and decides that maybe there's some fun (and a little retribution) to be had, after all. 2. Astrid Parker Doesn't Fail -> For Astrid Parker failure is unacceptable. When Pru Everwood asks her to be the designer for the Everwood Inn's renovation, which will be featured on a hugely popular home makeover show, Astrid is thrilled. However, Astrid never planned on Jordan Everwood, Pru's granddaughter and the lead carpenter for the renovation, who despises every modern design decision Astrid makes. Is she going to pursue the life that she's expected to lead or the one that she really wants? 3. Iris Kelly doesn't date -> Everyone around Iris Kelly is in love and she’s happy for all of them, truly. Iris doesn’t want any of that—dating, love, romance. She’ll stick to her commitment-free hookups. There’s only one problem—Iris is a romance author facing an imminent deadline for her second book, and she’s completely out of ideas. Perfectly happy to ignore her problems as per usual, Iris goes to a bar and meets a sexy stranger, Stefania, and a night of dancing and making out turns into the worst one-night stand Iris has had in her life. To get her mind off everything, Iris tries out for the lead role in a local play, a queer retelling of Much Ado About Nothing, but comes face-to-face with Stefania, whose real name turns out to be Stevie. Desperate to save face in front of her friends, Stevie asks Iris to play along as her girlfriend. Iris is shocked, but when she realizes the arrangement might provide her with some much-needed romantic content for her book, she agrees. As the two women play the part of a happy couple, lines start to blur.
Falls from grace by Ruby Landers -> Savannah Grace and her band were huge stars in Nashville. Now enlists Noah Lyman - an indie musician - to help her break out of country music and make a name for herself for once and for all. They have to spend the winter in Savannah secluded vacation home in the woods of Vermont, and Noah brings along his best friend Brynn Marshall and pretend she’s his wife? After all, what could possibly go wrong?
The secret of you and me by Melissa Lenhardt -> Nora hasn’t looked back. Not since she fled Texas to start a new life. Now she can live—and love—however she wants. The only problem is that she also left behind the one woman she can’t forget. Now tragedy calls her back home to confront her past—and reconcile her future.
Books by Haley Cass: - Those Who Wait and the follow-up Forever and A Day -> Spencer Sutton, the daughter of a congressman, and Charlotte Thompson, New York City’s youngest deputy mayor, meet on SapphicSpark, a women-seeking-women dating app. Sutton isn’t built for casual, and Charlotte needs to keep a low profile as the race heats up. In spite of that, a friendship blossoms as Charlotte helps Sutton navigate the dating world. - Down to A Science -> Ellie Beckett is a scientific genius finishing a Ph.D. at MIT, sitting on her stool at her favorite bar, putting the final touches on her thesis - her life is predictable and comfortable enough, until the night Mia Sharpe walks in to play pool with some friends and things are never the same again. and On the same Page -> Riley Beckett met Gianna Mäkinen their first year at Boston University, and it changed everything for the both of them. She knows Gianna doesn't do romance or relationships, and she knows nothing could ever come between them. But when a holiday party mix-up sets in motion a domino effect of changes, Riley has to question everything she thought she knew about their relationship. What, exactly, does Gianna mean to her after all? - In the Long Run -> Taylor Vandenberg is busy running a successful travel blog. Brooke Watson and Taylor’s younger brother have been best friends for the majority of their lives. It means that even if Taylor isn’t physically present, she’s always been a part of Brooke’s most monumental life experiences. When Taylor lands back in Faircombe for an extended stay, it leads to more run-ins than Brooke would like. And more feelings than either may want to admit. - When You Least Expect It & Better Than Expected (I haven't had a chance to read them yet, but I have seen them recommended a lot)
If tomorrow doesn't come by Jen St. Jude -> On the morning Avery Byrne plans to end her life, the world discovers there are only nine days left to live: an asteroid is headed for Earth, and no one can stop it. As time runs out and secrets slowly come to light, Avery fights her way home to save the girl she has been in love with her whole life. But can Avery also learn to save herself and find hope again in the tomorrows she has left?
Kiss her once for me by Alison Cochrun -> Ellie had a Christmas Eve meet-cute with a woman at a bookstore that led her to fall in love over the course of a single night. The next year, Andrew, the shop’s landlord where Ellie works, proposes a shocking, drunken plan: a marriage of convenience that will benefit both of them. They make a plan to spend the holidays together at his family cabin to keep up the ruse. But when Andrew introduces his new fiancée to his sister, Ellie is shocked to discover is the mysterious woman she fell for over the year before.
6 times we almost kissed (and one time we did) by Tess Sharpe -> Penny and Tate keep almost kissing. It’s just this confusing thing that keeps happening. You know, from time to time. For basically their entire teenaged existence. They’ve never talked about it. They’ve always ignored it in the aftermath. But now they’re living across the hall from each other. And some things—like their kisses—can’t be almosts forever.
Nottingham: the true story of Robin Hood by Anna Burke -> (A retelling of Robin Hood's story with a Female Robin and wlw couples) After a fateful hunting accident sends her on the run from the law, Robyn finds herself deep in the heart of Sherwood Forest. All she really wants to do is provide for her family and stay out of trouble, but when the Sheriff of Nottingham levies the largest tax in the history of England, she’s forced to take matters into her own hands. Relying on the help of her band of merry women and the Sheriff’s intriguing—and off limits—daughter, Marian, Robyn must find a way to pull off the biggest heist Sherwood has ever seen.
Forget me not by Alyson Derrick -> Stevie has a terrible fall. And when she comes to, she can remember nothing of the last two years—not California, not coming to terms with her sexuality, not even her girlfriend Nora. Suddenly, Stevie finds herself in a life she doesn’t quite understand. And Nora finds herself…forgotten.
It goes like this by Miel Moreland -> Eva, Celeste, Gina, and Steph used to play in world-famous queer pop band called Moonlight Overthrow. But after a sudden falling out leads to the dissolution of the teens' band, their friendship, and Eva and Celeste's starry-eyed romance, nothing is the same. Until a storm devastates their hometown, bringing the four ex-best-friends back together. As they prepare for one last show, they'll discover whether growing up always means growing apart.
Dominion Series by J J Arias: 1. Losing Control -> Talent agent Adriana Ortiz’s world is rocked when she’s thrust into the tumultuous orbit of Roxy, the raw, enigmatic pop rebel with a notorious edge and a guarded heart. Tasked with steering the wild Roxy on a whirlwind tour, Adriana boards Roxy’s opulent tour bus. The nights are filled with roaring crowds, but it’s the electric tension between Roxy and Adriana that sets the air on fire. A forbidden connection that threatens to consume them. Is the wild, unbridled Roxy worth the risk to Adriana’s career, or is she just another woman falling victim to Roxy’s charms? 2. Fighting for Control -> Lola Barros is a rising talent agent burning with ambition. Carmen Vargas is a dedicated lawyer poised to conquer the legal field. Their shared high-rise is the only thing these two powerhouses have in common. After a trivial parking mishap snowballs onto a full-blown feud, Lola and Carmen are thrust into unconventional anger management sessions and their fiery rivalry gives way to smoldering desire. But yielding to desire isn't straightforward. Between the shadows of demanding careers and familial expectations, their love is tested. Can Lola and Carmen find a balance between ambition and affection? 3. Relinquishing Control -> Natalia Flores rules her exclusive talent agency with an iron fist, brokering blockbuster deals while keeping everyone at arm’s length. But beneath the cold exterior lies a heart that yearns to be understood. Enter Professor Samantha Reyes—brilliant, fierce, and unwilling to let Natalia manipulate her way into the film rights to her book. Their encounters spark with tension and undeniable chemistry. In a world where control is everything, can two powerful women let go of their fears to find a love that’s worth the risk?
11:59 by Erica Lee -> TJ Edmonds has created a whole brand around not getting attached to other people. She has a best-selling novel and a popular phone app both dedicated to helping people stay detached from their significant others, so they don't get hurt. But the only reason she can move on so quickly now is because she still hasn't let go of someone from her past. It's easy to guard her heart when she no longer has it to give away. TJ texts Brooke everyday at 11:59 pm with no answers. What happens when, in a moment of weakness, this someone reaches out to TJ?
Price and Prejudice and the city by Rachel Lippincott -> Seventeen-year-old Audrey Cameron has lost her spark. After an embarrassing run-in with her ex-boyfriend, she’s told that she needs to get back out there and take risks. What she doesn't expect is to be transported to Regency England! Lucy Sinclair has her own problems when Audrey lands into her life, claiming to be from two hundred years in the future, it's a welcome distraction.
Never ever getting back together by Sophie Gonzales -> Maya and Skye are invited to star on the reality dating show Second-Chance Romance, to compete for their now famous ex-boyfriend's affections while the whole world watches. Skye wonders if she and Jordy can recapture the spark she knows they had, but Maya has other plans.
The art of us by KL Hughes -> Charlee and Alex fell in love at nineteen and dated for four years. Theirs was an enviable love — evergreen and growing. Unbreakable…Until it broke. Alex’s job now brings her back to Boston, after five years. When, by chance, they meet again, Charlee and Alex are swept up in a whirlwind of heart-rending history, tossed between past and present, and lovers old and new. Will their lingering connection be enough to convince them that some loves are meant to last? Or should the past remain in the past?
That secret something by Emily Wright -> Rebecca Lawson is off-limits. Jess knows this, but Rebecca has captured her heart for as long as she can remember. She’s sporty, tall and confident—all the things Jess is not—but most of all…she’s her best friend Lily’s sister. But when Jess and Rebecca are forced to spend time together the forbidden feelings intensify and sparks begin to fly. Amidst the chaos of raging bridezillas and other wedding disasters, can Jess resist temptation for the sake of her friendship?
The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid -> Aging and reclusive Hollywood movie icon Evelyn Hugo is finally ready to tell the truth about her glamorous and scandalous life. Summoned to Evelyn's luxurious apartment, Monique listens in fascination as the actress tells her story. From making her way to Los Angeles in the 1950s to her decision to leave show business in the '80s, and, of course, the seven husbands along the way
That summer feeling by Bridget Morrissey -> Turns out you're never too old for a summer camp romance. Or a change of heart. When a divorced woman attends a sleepaway camp for adults only, she reconnects with a man from her past - only to catch feelings for his sister instead.
Some of these are my absolute favourites, I've lost count of how many times I've read them. I cannot get enough of "the bright falls series", "One the same page", "Those who wait", "The secret of you and me" and the last entry "Falls From Grace". No matter how many times I read them. And sometimes I wish I could read them again, as if for the first time, if that makes sense. Anyway, I have a lot more titles. Let me know if you want them or not. Enjoy the reading

Viva Las Vegas
🎲About: When invited to see your childhood best friends perform at the International Hotel and Casino, things take a turn of events and reveal suppressed feelings for your once lover and now enemy.
♦️Jake Kiszka x reader
♠️Word count: 6k
♣️Warnings: mentions of sex, drinking, angst, crying, cheating, ldk what else 🙌🏻
🃏Authors note: enjoy this is my first story so I hope it’s good and if the format is messed up sorryyy😛
⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you were to be told that your childhood best friends were performing at the International Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, you would die laughing. Growing up in the small town of Frankenmuth Michigan, you were always told you needed to live a big life and make the town proud, and that is exactly what you did. After finishing high school, you dropped the idea of college and found yourself working at the well-known store of Bronners, making a little less than minimum wage, but it worked. You saved up for 2 years straight, just to be able to rent out a small studio apartment in Nashville Tennessee, the music city. You landed yourself a job at a small bar that frequently hosted small and upcoming bands, one of them being the Orange Blossoms: the band you now market for full-time while working for RCA Record Labels. Life was good, really good; well until you got a very interesting call two weeks back from a very drunk childhood best friend, Josh Kiszka.
“Hello?” You asked rubbing your eyes. It had to be at least 3 am and you were woken out of a dead sleep to answer a call you should’ve just let go to voicemail.
“Y/N MY FAVORITE PERSON,” you could practically smell the alcohol reeking off the man you called your other half through the phone “HOW ARE YOU!”
“Josh,” you pulled the phone away from your ear and to no surprise the time read
3:05 am “It’s 3 am I was asleep just like you should be. Is there something you need?”
“Mama, do I ever need a reason to call the girl I love the most?” He asked almost slurring every other word
“No Josh but it’s a Thursday and I have work soon and need to sleep. Goodnight Joshua”.
“NO, NO WAIT. I had something to tell you but it slipped my mind.. Jake, what was I going to tell y/n again?” That name. The name of the man who had destroyed you. Josh’s twin brother, Jacob. Thomas. Kiszka. Silence hit the air and you could hear the long-haired man laugh and mumble something to his brother.
Jake and you had dated back in high school. It wasn’t a quick thing, it was a three-year-long commitment. Jake was your first and you his. He was there for the first time you got black-out drunk, greened out, ran away from home, lost your childhood pet, everything. Jake was not only your boyfriend but your best friend and you were beyond happy, you couldn’t ask for anything more. Well, all that joy and happiness, left in the blink of an eye on the night of your senior prom. It took no time at all for you to see the photo. There, in his jet black tuxedo and pink tye to match your flowing dress was an 18-year-old Jake pushed up against the wall with some dumb blonde. The dumb blonde in question? your best friend. Life had changed completely. All the sorries in the world couldnt make up for what he had done to you. You could care less about the skanky bitch you called your best friend but Jake? Your Jake? You have never felt more alone in your entire life. You broke contact with him for 6 years. Six years of your life you spent tip-toeing around him. You would exchange glances at parties Josh or Sam would host but not a single word would leave your lips. Josh had tried his best to break up the tension but you were stubborn, you always have been and that was partially the reason Jake had stopped trying so hard to apologize to you, because he knew you wouldn’t forgive and forget.
You broke the no contact on the twin's 24th birthday. You were invited to the party and you didn’t think twice about going, not for Jake but for Josh. Only for Josh. However, to lie and say Jake had looked nothing far from gorgeous would be wrong. He looked.. perfect. You found yourself drinking one too many martinis made by the fluffy-haired twin and ended up letting the alcohol take its course and finally speaking to the man who broke your heart. As you moved your body through the sea of people invited to the house located just out of Nashville, you found your glossy eyes looking upon a somber Jake.
“Hi.” you said quietly as you took a seat next to him outside by the small fire that had been growing rather dim as the night went on.
“Hi, Angel.” He said as his eyes met yours, using the same nickname he gave you all those years back in high school.
“ I uh, I just wanted to say Happy Birthday and wish you a year full of good memories or whatever you have in your life you want to be good.” God your mouth had never felt so dry as you were at such a loss for words. Why you were even speaking to him was beyond you.
“Thank you. How have you been? It's been what? Five-ish years?”
“Ive been good, I could be better but work is good and I got a dog of my own, yea lifes been, been going good.” Been going good and we should keep it that way, you thought to yourself.
“I'm glad. Ive missed you, Angel. Ive missed what we had.” His hand found its way to yours. Just as soon as it happened it was over as a girl was soon calling his name. A girl whose voice you’ve heard more than once before. As you turned your head, to no surprise you were met with the girl he cheated on you with all that while back. You sobered right up and stood quickly.
“It shows Jake. Happy birthday again.” and with that, you continued with your life, not speaking to the ghost of the man you once knew.
As you came back from your thoughts you were brought back to a drunk Josh rambling on about god knows what.
“So what do you say?” Jesus you must have been zoned out, I mean it was 3 am and this call was more than unnecessary in your eyes.
“Sorry, repeat what you just said, but make it short.”
“ I SAID, we're going on another leg for the US and were going to this fancy place in Vegas where Elvis played and I want you to come.” You had already seen the infamous Greta Van Fleet perform far more than once but a trip to Vegas didn’t sound too terrible.
“The International Casino?” you asked confusingly
“Yeah, that's the one! It's in a few weeks Angel so you have time to think but it would mean the world to all of us if you would delight us with your amazing presence.” You let out a small laugh, ignoring the fact that the nickname has made its way to stick with you for so long.
“Send me over the details in the morning Josh and I’ll look into it. Im going to bed now and I think you should too, love you lots Josh.” The short man let out a sigh wished you a good night and hung up.
Now, you sit in your hotel room, a suite not to mention, putting on the lash finishing details to your makeup, similar to that of which Josh does, and preparing for the night ahead. As you added the last rhinestone to your cheek, you moved to grab your favorite red lipstick, carefully applying it only to be interrupted by a phone call from no other than the man himself.
“Hello, mamas.”
“Hi Josh, to what do I owe the pleasure”
“I’m sending someone up to your room right now to grab you and bring you to the dressing rooms, then we're gonna bring you to your spot. Sound good?” You laughed knowing that by going on this trip Josh was going to do whatever he needed to make sure that you had lived it to the best extent, even if that meant reserving a special spot in the pit when you were more than happy to be in a seat, out of the way.
“Yes that’s fine Josh,” you said with a laugh “I’ll see you soon.”
With that, you continued applying your lipstick, sprayed your favorite perfume, and were met with a soft knock at the door to your luxurious suite. You opened the door to see one of the many men you'd seen running around with the band before and allowed him to escort you to a room that was titled “Greta Van Fleet-Josh Dressing” and let you inside.
You were immediately met with showers of welcomes, seeing that not only Josh sat in this room but Sam and Danny too, Jake nowhere to be found.
“Angel! We’ve missed you come in!” exclaimed Josh and he sat up from his spot in a chair and left the woman doing his makeup dumbfounded at the sudden change in focus. As he came up to hug you it felt as if any worry you had about the night had left you completely. His hug was soon followed by Sam and Danny which led you all into a deep conversation of how life had been. Well, as deep as it could go seeing as they had to perform in just short of 30 minutes. As Sam rambled on about Rose and his love life your mind drifted to the fact that the other, more serious, twin wasn’t present. It must have shown on your face for Sam cleared his throat and said
“Jake in his dressing room, “practicing” is what he calls it but im pretty sure he's in there taking shots to pregame.” You let out a soft “ah” to show your understanding. It didn’t come as a surprise to you that Jacob Kiszka was pregaming, you felt like you always saw him drinking before a show, even when he was back in Frankenmuth whether it be a beer or a shot of vodka. Soon you found yourself taking a shot with the boys as if to say good luck on the stage tonight, knowing they wouldn’t need that; I mean they were amazing, to say the least. You saw the effect these men had on some of the people in the crowd, not just from their undeniable beauty but from the fact that their music meant something, it changed people and you couldn’t be more proud of them. While you never imagined them this big, you felt like they had this written in the stars for them. After exchanging conversation they got the five-minute call and the next thing you knew you were being brought out of the room and down to the pit. As you walked down the small hallway leading you to the stage, you heard the voice of a man talking to another, but not just talking, he was mad, really mad. The security guard tried to hurry you along past the scene but as you passed him, you could see that black suit, shining in the light due to the amazing detailing from the rhinestones and diamonds, and you knew that was Jake. Your Jake. Why he was mad? You wish you knew. Maybe something happened with his guitar, or maybe he had just gotten bad news from someone, but whatever it was, you weren’t even allowed a moment to process it before you were pushed along to your “special spot”. You found yourself being lifted over the railing of the pit and put smack dab in the middle of the barricade. You almost felt bad, this could’ve been someone else’s spot so before he could walk away, you grabbed the arm of the security guard and pulled him close to the railing.
“Is there anywhere else I can sit? Maybe up there?” you yelled out as you pointed to the seats sitting at an angle to the side of the stage.
The guard just looked at you and sighed, “They told me they wanted you here specifically, so they could see you. Don’t worry we had someone hold this spot for you. Enjoy the show Ms.Y/L/N.” And with that, he was gone and the lights started to dim, followed by a beautiful violin cover of the songs off Starcatcher.
The curtain fell and the boys made their way down from their spots, going on with the show as normal, until it came to the point of what would normally be their switch to the second stage, except this venue, in particular, did not have one, so they stayed put and gathered around into a half circle, facing the crowd in front of them. Sam had started to play a melody on his keys you knew all too well and once Josh started singing, tears filled your eyes. It was always a joke growing up about how much you and Mrs.Kiszka adored John Denver, Jake, and Josh egging it onto you how much you were like their mom. You had always seen on social media postings of them playing bits from The Music Is You, to honor their mom when playing back in your home state, but it never once crossed your mind that they may do the same for you. Josh had sang beautifully as always and made it a point to look right at you and reach his hand out to you when he finished the little snippet of the song you adored oh so much. You wiped your eyes and mouthed a quick thank you to Josh. While it may have seemed silly to the girls around you, you hadn’t seen the boys in truly so long, and just to hear them sing, knowing it was for you, made you appreciate how much they have changed you and your life, good or bad.
As the concert continued you found yourself in a sea of screaming girls once the familiar tune of The Archer, began playing. Josh had told you over the phone about the many interactions he had with fans, going down to the pit, hugging, kissing, grabbing them, and showing his love during Jake's extended solo and you expected nothing different for tonight. Just as you expected, Josh made his way down to the pit, hugging as many as he could but your attention drifted elsewhere. Your eyes found taking in the image of the man you once called your true love as he shook back and forth with his guitar, dramatizing the solo more than it needed to be. You found yourself taking in his features; his long, wet hair, the way it stuck to his face due to the sweat running down his body to his torso, the way his hips shook back and forth as he damn near abused his guitar on the stage. You couldn’t draw your eyes away but were broken out of your trance as soon his met yours. The tension you felt was unreal and hard to differentiate between sexual or pure rage for what had happened all that time back. It wasn’t just the cheating that had you mad though and you knew that. Jake was a slut, a genuine slut. You felt like he was sleeping around with a new girl after every show and he made no point of hiding it as photos circulated on the internet of him leaving venues with different girls every other week. You watched as he would watch himself play, in awe with his state of himself, what a self-centered asshole you thought. Soon, you brought your eyes away from his but couldn’t help but feel them staring down at you throughout the remainder of the show, almost as if he tried his best not to look before but now couldn’t control it. As Josh reached the last note of the last song, they bid their farewells and wished their love to all in the crowd and soon exited the stage.
As the pit fully cleared out, you made your way from the front of the pit despite the security trying to escort you to the boys backstage, you broke out of their hold telling them you needed to go to the restroom and would find your way back there on your own. You felt like you were being babied and honestly needed a drink or two after whatever the hell that show was. You moved through the sea of people and found yourself standing at a bar waving down a bartender, ordering your usual Jack and Coke. As the cold drink met your lips, you could feel yourself loosen up in an instant. Three drinks later you found yourself too far from tipsy but not yet fully drunk, you would give yourself a drink more before you were completely dazed out. You closed out your tab and picked up your phone, being met with text after text from Josh asking where you went. You called him and asked where he was, telling you he was at some restaurant located in the hotel and would send Sam to come and get you. As you sat impatiently, you decided it wouldn’t hurt to get another drink; the boys were probably near drunk by now as well who cares you thought as you ordered another drink, asking for it to be stronger than the last one, asking for this drink just to be put on the room, to which Josh was paying for. As you finished the last drops of your drink it was only a matter of time before the alcohol worked its course and you felt ready to dance and let loose.
Soon, Sam's body found yours as you laughed to him about just how good the show truly was, showering him with compliments on the band's skill. He only laughed alongside you, letting the alcohol drift from his breath to your face, letting you know it indeed was ok to order that last drink. As he guided you back to the restaurant, you were met with surprise seeing as the restaurant was not only a restaurant but a dance club. The seats consisted of a few big, dimly lit booths, and many high tops and scattered lounge chairs. Sam led you to one of the booths and you slid your body right in, to Josh, except the booth was now only being filled by you and Josh, the other three boys out dancing or getting drinks by the bar. You leaned into Josh and shouted as loud as you could over the music.
“The show was amazing Josh,” you said partially slurring your words “thank you for playing my song for me; ‘meant a lot y’know.” You smiled at him, eyes glossy.
“Anything for my favorite girl.” He said, pulling you into his arms and hugging you tightly.
You found yourself being pulled in all sorts of directions as Josh danced the night away with you until your phone read about 2 am. You pulled Josh to the side and told him it was time for you to make your way back to your room and sadness filled his eyes.
“I don’t want the night to end either Josh but I’m tired and drunk and need to sleep.” you laughed lightly.
“Yeah, I know mama. When is your flight back to Nash? Maybe we can spend the day on the strip tomorrow before we gotta go?” You looked at the man like he had six eyes. You were in no state to think of such difficult things, or at least that's how they seemed to you. You lazily gave him an estimate knowing it was some time in the afternoon, but it was late enough for you to spend time with him and the rest of the boys. As you wished him goodnight you stumbled out of the restaurant-themed club and made your way toward the elevators.
As you pressed the elevator buttons and entered in, you pressed the button leading you to the twelfth floor where your room resided. Just as the doors were about to close, a hand wedged itself in between the two doors, opening them back up and bringing you to face a, at least you would think, equally as drunk Jake. You didn’t want to talk to him let alone look at him but god did he look good. As he walked in he let out a small sigh, almost disappointed on who was in the small box with him. Before you could even open your mouth to ask him what floor he was headed to, he leaned in front of you, almost far too close for comfort, and pressed the number directly above the one you lit up and returned to his place on the opposite side, not exchanging a single word. You were praying the floor would stop somewhere else and someone would get into the elevator with the two of you, breaking the awkward silence but no one did. As the elevator made its way up you cleared your throat and as soberly as possible said
“You guys put on quite the show tonight.” You couldn’t tell if it came off as rude or a compliment.
“Glad you enjoyed it, Angel.” He said, his eyes lifting from the floor to look at you, take in your outfit, tailored specifically for this evening. You were dressed in a shorter-than-short silver skirt to show off your height as Jake himself always joked how you should be flaunting your “long legs” whatever the fuck that meant, followed by a black corset that had detailing that was similar to that of what was embroidered on the twins suits. Your skin was covered in glitter, from your chest to your arms and you supported a few dainty necklaces gifted from the boys themselves as well as a bracelet you bought for yourself just for this event. You put on your cleanest pair of go-go boots and do your makeup to resemble Josh, followed by a red lip and your hair in loose curls. How it all stayed on to this moment was a surprise to even you but it did, and maybe this time it genuinely was the alcohol, but you felt hot, really hot. Jake had managed to find time to change so he sported a simple linen set you've seen him wear one too many times before, leaving all but the last two buttons undone to show off his toned chest against the silver of his plethora of silver coins.
“It's not polite to stare.” you stated flatly at the man before you, toying with the bracelet on your wrist to keep you occupied. God this elevator was taking forever.
“You seemed to have no issue earlier towards the end of the show.” He let out slightly with a smug smile almost as if to insinuate something more than what was there.
“I’m sorry? Am I supposed to stare at the floor during a concert?” You snapped back only to be met with a smile forming wider on his lips.
“Like I said, glad you enjoyed Angel.” He said, cooly.
Finally, the elevator reached your floor and you couldn’t help but sit for a minute, debating everything that’s happened between you and Jake, realizing that even after all the years, you find yourself feeling the same way you did for him all that time back. You looked up at the man in front of you in confusion about the way you felt, wondering if he felt the same.
“Goodnight Jake.” you said softly before exiting the small box and beginning the walk down the hallway. As you approached your room you felt like your legs were ready to give out. You pulled your room key out and entered the room, sleep taking over your body. As you walked in you immediately made your way to the bed, needing a minute to regain some energy before getting up again and taking off your ensemble. After a minute, you sat up, taking off your boots, followed by your corset and skirt, taking off your socks and undergarments, and moving to get a a baggy t-shirt and different underwear. Once changed, you made your way toward the bathroom to begin removing your pounds of jewelry. The weight being taken off your neck led you to focus on taking off your bracelet however to your surprise, it wasn’t there. Fuck you thought to yourself. If it was anywhere, it was back in that elevator where you stood fidgeting with it while talking to Jake. You would’ve just let it go had it not been as expensive as it was. You were at a loss of thought. Do you call Jake and ask if he saw it in the elevator? No Jesus no. You tried to collect your thoughts in your drunken state and decided to just go back onto the elevator and look for it there. It was almost 3 am so you would think no one would be out in the hall so you slipped on some ankle socks and crept out of the comforts of your room, making your way to the elevator. Just as you went to press the button to go back down, the doors opened, and before you stood the same man you had just seen minutes before, holding your bracelet. He scanned over your body before stepping out of the elevator, taking in your “pajamas” and smirking slightly.
“You look comfortable.”
“Just give me my bracelet Jake. I’m tired and I want to go to bed.” You snapped at him, almost too loudly.
“Yeesh someone's angry.” He said with a chuckle, reaching his hand out to you.
You snatched it out of his and turned making your way back to the room, not giving him a second longer of your time.
Once you got to the door, the harsh reality hit you. You missed him. He looked so good on that damn stage tonight, it made you realize that you did miss him. You missed the nights when you would spend laughing your asses off at the stupidest tv shows, or the way you would make fun of each other for the way they looked when they woke up in the morning. What you missed most of all? The feeling of his body against yours. The way he made you feel complete. You felt tears build up in your eyes. You had loved him, even from the day he cheated on you, you have always loved him. You never loved another. You missed your Jake. As you entered the room, tears streamed from your eyes, not just out of sadness but anger. Angry that even after he did do this, you still wanted to crawl back into his arms, and be told it was all going to be ok. You moved to grab your phone and opened up your messages. You knew you shouldn’t have but you opened a new conversation and sat, staring at what you would even say. Before you could even type the first letter, a knock at your door filled the silence.
You opened up the door to be met with the eyes of the same boy you had never stopped loving. You locked eyes before the sudden movement of him brought his lips toward yours. It was like he had been thinking the same thing, as his hands met your waist and yours locked around the back of his neck. Quickly, he backed you into the room, kicking the door closed behind him and guiding you towards your bed. Your hands wrapped up into his tangled curls, pulling at them as he deepened the kiss. His hands began to slip under your shirt, searching every inch of your body, stopping just before your chest. As he backed you through your room, you turned, leading him towards the bed instead, moving your hands down to his face. As you approached the bed, you pushed him back and stepped back, moving to lift your shirt off of your body as he worked on his own. Once both were removed, your lips met his again, this time holding more force, as your hands roamed his body, leading you down to his waist, running them over his legs, slowly working their way up to his member, painfully hard already through his linens. A groan hit your lips, letting you know that he wanted this just as badly as you did. All those thoughts of doubt and anger towards him left your mind as he started to work kisses down your chin while you worked on getting his pants off. Once off, you lowered yourself onto your knees, palming him through his underwear as he stared at you with lust-filled eyes as you moved painstakingly slow.
You looked up at him, eyes glossed as you were just as desperate with him and slowly pulled down his underwear, pressing soft kisses to the insides of his thighs. Moving your way up, you could feel his body shudder, struggling to keep the little composure he had left. Finally, you took him into your mouth, pushing him down until he hit the back of your throat and slowly started to move up and down.
“Fuck Y/N.” he whispered, collecting the hair draping around your face, making a ponytail in his fist but using no force and letting you have free reign.
As you got comfortable with the feeling, you began to pick up your pace, settling him at the back of your throat after a little and choking back a gag, tears filling your eyes but this time for all the different reasons. A string of praises and curses left his lips as he started to force your head back up, almost as an instinct. As you let him, he kept up with the pace until he felt it was too much and switched to holding you in place as he began to thrust up into your mouth, quickly, bringing him to let out a loud moan.
He continued to hit the back of your throat and the gag you tried so hard to suppress released itself, causing him to lean his head back in pure ecstasy.
“F-fuck Angel, you're taking me so well” he managed to say with eyes squeezed shut.
The words leaving his lips made the pool forming between your legs ten times worse as you squeezed your legs together for some sort of relief. As you looked up at Jake, his eyes met yours as he reached his hand down to play with your breasts, releasing a moan from your lips. Just as fast as it was happening, it stopped and Jake pulled himself out of your mouth and you up from the floor, pressing kisses along your torso and breasts, hooking his fingers into the sides of your laced underwear. As he pulled them down, he stood, switching positions with you as you slid yourself back towards the head of the bed, laying comfortably as he worked to situate himself between your legs. Following your same movements minutes ago, he began to press kisses into the sides of your thighs, moaning as he did so as if it was pleasure enough to be touching you. Your hand trailed down to the bundle of nerves as the ache growing between your legs began to fog your thoughts. Just as you began to touch yourself, Jake grabbed your wrist stopping you whilst continuing to kiss his way up to that very spot.
He moved your hand out of the way and his lips found your clit, rubbing slow circles with his tongue around the nerves, a quiet moan escaping your lips.
“I wanna hear your pretty little sounds, Angel, don’t get shy on me now.” he said, releasing his mouth from you and slowly moving it back.
As he did so, your breath quickened as he flattened his tongue along your core, taking you in. He refocused his tongue on your clit as his fingers slowly danced along your legs, making their way up to slowly find their way inside of you. Starting with one at a slow pace, your hips jolted forward as you begged for more, allowing him to add a second digit inside of you, picking up the pace. Moans streamed from your lips as he set a steady, fast, pace, whilst continuing to work his tongue over your clit. Your hands found his hair again, pushing his face forward, grinding forward against his lips.
“Holy shit Jake” you moaned out as you began to slowly feel a knot forming in your stomach. Just when you thought it was impossible, he picked up the pace even faster, slipping his hands under your legs pulling you closer, and anchoring you in place as your back arched with pleasure. Your head dug back into the pillows as you let out a close-to-pornographic moan release from your lips. His tongue worked quick circles around your clit, making your head spin with pure pleasure. You had missed the feeling of him on you, in you, and you never wanted to let go of the feeling you gained back.
“J-Jake I’m s’close,” you said a little too loudly “don’t stop, please.” you said with a moan as you could feel you losing yourself with pleasure.
As he continued to work quickly, he involuntarily thrust his hips forward into the mattress and you wanted nothing more than for him to be in you.
“Jake stop fuck stop.” you said almost defeatedly knowing you were close to pure bliss. Immediately without thought, he lifted his face from between your legs, keeping his fingers inserted, moving at a far slower pace.
“What's wrong?” he said breathily, still trying to get his bearings about him.
“Nothing I just,” you said fighting back another moan as his fingers still worked inside of you, “I want you in me, I can’t wait any longer.” you said quickly. He met your words with a smirk and finished by curling his fingers in you and pulling them out, leaving you wishing he didn’t stop. He brought his fingers to his mouth, wrapping his tongue around them and having you watch as his eyes rolled to the back of his head.
“Jesus you taste so good Angel” he said raspily, moving his way up to be over you, lining himself up. Rubbing his hands up and down his shaft a few times you took the opportunity to switch positions, straddling him. You leaned forward to press kisses to his lips and slowly down to his chin, then neck, sucking harshly assuring you would leave a proud mark for the morning, down to his chest and torso. Slowly, you reached for his member, giving it a few pumps before slowly lowering yourself down onto him, releasing a mouth from your lips due to the stretch his size brought to you. God how I missed him was all you could think to yourself. Slowly, you began to move, setting a slow back-and-forth movement before working yourself to move more intensely. He brought one hand to your hip as if to anchor you there and another to your breast, leaning forward to put one in his mouth and leave one in his hand, eliciting another moan. As his mouth worked over your sensitive breasts, you began to pick up your pace and slowly pick yourself up off him before quickly lowering you wereslef back down, setting a speed for him to adjust to. Eventually, his head flew back to the pillows out of pure bliss, continuing to move his hand over your breast.
You leaned forward towards his neck as he began to thrust into you, letting you leave more small bruises for the morning. His hands now switched from your legs to your ass, having a firm grip you were scared would leave you with bigger bruises to form.
“ I missed you,” he whispered into your ear “fuck I missed you so much.” God, he sounded needy, desperate, as if you could get closer and you just didn’t know it.
“Tell me, what’d you miss jakey.” you said weakly. As much joy as this brought you, you wanted this to last, to be able to do this with him whenever be able to be his again, and you wanted him to confirm your hopes that he felt the same.
“I missed it all Y/N, I-” he cut himself off with a moan as you tightened around him as you tried to hold back a moan, despite his command to be vocal “ I missed your laugh, and your beautiful smile, fuck, I missed every aspect of you.” Good enough you thought to yourself given that he was fucking you fast.
You brought yourself up from his neck, taking control once more, picking up where his pace left off.
“Shit m’close baby.” he said quickly, with eyes squeezed shut, similar to how he looked while you rubbed your tongue down his shaft. The sweat forming on his face caused his hair to stick to his face, similar to on stage, making you want him even more than you already had him. With that, he flipped you over, taking over once more, and quickened the pace ever so slightly, clearly impatient. One leg found its way around his waist as the opposite hand reached for his back, clawing, trying to stabilize yourself.
“M’close too,” you said with tears forming in your eyes out of pure desperation, “Jake, faster and don’t stop.” you said gravelly.
Following your command, he drilled into you as the knot that had been building up for so long finally came undone and euphoria took over your body, your heading stretching back, moans streaming from your lips followed by his name. Just as you had begun to start to come down, his high began as his movements began to falter, letting you know he was there. He began to move back, trying to put out. You wrapped your other leg around him and pulled him closer, stopping his action.
“Inside me.. I want it inside me.” you said quickly, whilst looking up at him.
Without a second thought, he fully pushed back in and released himself into you, continuing to fuck the release into you, slowly and painfully. Once he was done, he pulled out, plopping down beside you, both of you breathing incredibly fast. He wrapped an arm around your waist and pressed kisses onto the side of your face and chin. With the moment of calm, your mind began to race again, but his voice pulled you out of thought.
“I love you Y/N. I love you, only you, I’ve only ever loved you, ever since the minute I layed eyes on you, I knew that I wanted to be with you for every minute of every day. I’m sorry for what I did but I will never stop loving you till the day I die.” He said sweetly, a tone you’ve not heard in years. You turned to look at him, your face serious but eyes filled with shock. You couldn’t find the words so you pressed your lips to his. The kiss was not like before. It was slow, passionate, everlasting. You pulled away and pushed your forehead against his.
“I love you forever Jacob Thomas Kiszka.” you said with a smile forming on your lips. All that time you had spent angry with him, upset with him, you had just wished he was different and he was. Maybe it took years, but he changed. He was your Jake and he always would be. The smile that formed on his lips matched yours.
“I do have to say miss Y/L/N,” your eyes furrowed with confusion, “I think you outdid the rest of the girls in the pit with your outfit tonight,” he said as you began to laugh about how unserious he was.
“Jake”
“Hm?”
“You’re an idiot”
“But you love me so it works out”
“But I love you so it does work out I guesss” you said dragging out your s’s.
He simply wrapped you up to the side of him pressing a kiss to the side of your head as sleep took over both of your bodies, allowing you to feel content once again with your life knowing you were complete once again.

Chapter One:
your pulse beat rapidly. you couldn’t believe you were actually doing this.
you put the last of the moving boxes on the couch and looked at kaylee. your smiles radiated as you took in your new place. the two bedroom, one bath apartment stared back at you.
the walls were painfully white and bare, but the dark blue couch added much needed color to the middle of the living room.
“it’s not much to look at right now”, she started, “but I think we can work with it.”
“let’s hope”, you laughed.
of course you both could work with it. y’all could turn a dumpster fire into a trendy café. you distinctly remembered that your dorm was in a similar condition y’all’s freshman year of college. and let’s just say you had to fix a few nail holes and tear off so much wallpaper when y’all moved out.
“I got it!”, kaylee gasped, “dark blue and white chevron!”
“chevron? are we in 2014?”, you gave her a look.
“oh please, you know I know best. here”, she positioned you to where she was standing by your shoulders, “look now.”
after a few head tilts, you hated to admit it but, you were starting to see her vision.
“hmmm ok fine. but the couch would have to go there”, you pointed, “and the lamp there against the wall.”
she gave your shoulders a squeeze and rested her head in the crook of your neck, “awe you finally trust my artistic eye.”
you shrugged her off with a laugh.
“you know things will be better, right? he’s not here to bother you, and you get a nice fresh start.”, she added hesitantly.
right. one of the main reasons you left your home state after college, your ex. you tried to push him out of your mind, nodding at kaylee.
you tried to focus on the room before you. your mind was starting to race with ideas and approaches, and the place was slowly piecing itself together.
the rising excitement was going to keep you up all night.
or so you thought.
you would have a different enemy tonight.
after hours of planning with kaylee, you finally started to get tired. the long hours of the day suddenly hit you and all you could think about was your mattress. it was on the floor as of now, but it never looked more comfortable.
after doing your skincare, getting in pjs, and brushing your teeth and hair, you laid down on the bare mattress. your eyes were slowly drooping as you started to slip into sleep.
just then you were startled awake with the sound of a guitar.
what in the world?
you waited for a second, thinking it was just your mind playing tricks. then, a second strum of an electric guitar echoed through the wall.
it was followed by a riff, cool and sharp, ripping through the quiet night. then came drums, pounding a dull beat that the guitar followed.
the music was good, great even, but it was too late for it.
you sat up, annoyed and tired, and looked over at kaylee, who had woken up from the same sounds.
“ugh. your first roommate duty.”, she grunted, pointing at the wall the music was coming from.
“no way, kaylee. are you kidding?”
she pointed again at the wall, strictly.
you rolled your eyes, standing up to stretch.
“ooohhh mama”, a man’s raspy voice came in with the music.
you cursed as you walked out into the hallway, not wanting the confrontation but needing sleep. the neighbor’s door reverberated with the vibration of music, making it obvious where the musicians were stationed.
you sighed and knocked at the door.
no response. just music.
“la di da di da oooohhh”, the singer’s voice was clear and distinct, mocking the guitar’s strums.
you knocked louder, growing frustrated.
suddenly, a voice interrupted the flowing sound and one by one the instruments stopped. the music ceased, and you could hear footsteps growing closer.
the door opened slightly, giving you a view of half a man’s face. his dark brown eyes sweeped you up and down, and you abruptly became aware that you were at their door in a big t-shirt and sleep shorts. a little embarrassed, you crossed your arms in front of you.
“can I help you?”, he asked, annoyance dripped from his husky voice.
“um- hi. sorry, me and my best friend just moved in next door.”, you pointed to your door.
his neck craned to see, opening the door a little more. you took in his appearance. the brown hair draped over his shoulders, reaching his upper back, was flowy and dark. he had on a black button up only buttoned to the middle of his torso, exposing his tan chest.
damn. he was attractive.
your eyes traveled further down, spotting an electric guitar hanging on him.
so this was the guitarist.
he looked back at you expectingly, waiting for an explanation.
“anyway, we were just going to come ask if y’all could quiet down just a little bit. it late and we have long days tomorrow and we would just really appreciate it.” you smiled sweetly, sort of wishing he found you attractive the way you found him attractive.
he raised his eyebrows, looked you up and down again, and turned to face some other men in the room. you could only see their heads, but you saw three men standing around instruments in the cramped apartment.
“what do ya say, boys? should we keep it down?”, he murmured, his voice mysterious and yet sweet. the other men laughed half-heartedly from inside, causing the man at the door to chuckle.
he looked back at you.
“look, sweetie. we are a professional band and we need our practice. now, we only can get together at night. so, what do you suppose we do, hm? stop our productive, important practice for you and your little friend to get beauty sleep? I don’t think so. we haven’t gotten any complaints yet, so I think that you just need to go back to your apartment and invest in some earplugs if it bothers you that much.”
you were taken aback, mouth slightly open in shock. you’d have never guessed such rude words would fall out of his beautiful mouth. he looked like a dream, but acted like a nightmare.
“well”, you started, unsure of how to respond, “I guess i’ll be the first to complain.” you lifted your chin up defiantly, not letting him see how much he disappointed you by being rude.
his eyebrows dropped, his face forming a deep glare.
“now then, let’s not be rude here.” he was testing you, seeing how confrontational you would get.
“yes”, you smiled sarcastically, “let’s not. so, practice is cancelled tonight?” you looked behind the man and into the room to see three slightly shocked faces.
one of them, with a seafoam green bass in his hand, broke out into a smile, “well i’m free tomorrow at noon.”
“shut up, sam.”, the man at the door barked, looking back at him.
“oh, give it a rest, jake. you know we can postpone and be fine.”, sam added.
oh, jake was the man at the door.
“yes, jake”, you cooed, “let’s postpone, hm?”
his eyes found yours, surprised and slightly impressed at your tone. his hard mouth slowly let up.
he scoffed, “you playing with fire, baby. be careful.”
your eyebrows raised, testing him to try you. you backed away, eyes never leaving his, and walked the four feet to your door.
the last thing you saw was a glimpse of his eyes following you into your apartment.
the intensity of the encounter haunted you, playing back in your head over and over. you leaned your head back onto the door, waiting for the music to resume. waiting to see if he had the gall to keep playing. still after a minute or two, there was nothing but silence. you sighed, sluggishly walking back to your bed.
then you collapsed, sleep slowly enveloping you into its warm arms.
good, that’s the end of that, you thought.
until you woke up at 3 am, to the sound of a guitar riff.

Big announcement: get ready for a new Kickstarter! Orchestral edition!
"Billie Bust Up is an interactive 3D platforming musical with music composed by the legendary Daniel Ingram, best known for his composition work on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Taking inspiration from animated classics, characters sing and perform to the beat. Each song engages the player in a unique way, from catchy boss fights and villain songs, to chase sequences to rhythm heaven inspired segments.
We are hoping to raise enough funds to record 20 minutes of live Big Band on 5 songs for the Billie Bust Up Game to replace the current MIDI instruments, and dramatically improve the impact of these final songs.
Stretch goals will allow us to fund a proper orchestra for all 14 songs in Billie Bust Up! Featuring one of the top film orchestras in the world in Nashville, Tennessee, USA at the famous Ocean Way Studios where Daniel Ingram, our songwriter, recorded all of the songs for My Little Pony: The Movie We have lots of fun and exclusive rewards planned such as prints, enamel pins and more! Sign up now to be notified when we go live."

Reminder that this goal is a want, and not a need: the game will come out regardless of the campain's success. It's just a way for the game's music to feel even more submersive.
So, if you're interested to support this new campain, click the link and sign with your mail address to be updated: when the countdown reaches 0, donations will start.

Invisible String - Jake Kiszka x f! Reader - Chaper One - Series
You’re just a small town girl who always had big dreams of living in Nashville. You hoped your music would get you out of your hometown, and your dreams were finally coming true. You knew you had your best friend, your music, and a new guitar to take you through the new life ahead of you. What you didn’t know was what and who this new adventure would bring you. Used to beach town life, could you adjust to the big city and the big names attached to it?
Warnings : None this chapter :)
Authors Note : This is something I’ve had in the works for a little while now. I hope you enjoy this series. Please let me know if you have any suggestions, or if you’d like to be added to a tag list! <3
・。・゜✭・・✫・゜・。・。・゜✭・・✫・゜・。・。・゜✭・・
You couldn’t believe it was actually happening. After years of coffee shop shows, bar performances, and the occasional birthday party or wedding, you were finally moving to Nashville. A dream since you were just a kid, stuck in a small beach town tucked away in the outskirts of Washington. You’d saved every penny from your gigs, giving guitar lessons to the neighborhood kids, and everything you could spare from your 9-5 paychecks. You checked your bank account religiously, waiting for the day you’d finally saved enough. All you needed was a few months rent, and the money to put gas in the U-Haul, yours and Cam’s home for the 36 hour drive.
Cam had been your best friend since middle school. An absolute force to be reckoned with at your dodgy little public schools. You trusted her with your life, and believe me when I say there were plenty of times you’d gotten in enough trouble to prove you could. The day you told her you’d started saving to move, she started saving too. She told you that you'd have a piece of home with you down in the south, and she couldn’t bear the idea of not seeing you all the time. You thanked God every day since. You couldn’t imagine not living side by side with her either. So the two of you packed everything you owned into a little U-Haul, and drove away from the only place you’d ever known. Away from your families and friends who all waved and cheered you on as you pulled out of the driveway.
“I can’t stop laughing, oh my god y/n. I can’t breathe. Why were they waving us off like it’s the ancient times and we’re setting sail on the Titanic or something?” She was cackling in the passenger seat, resting one hand on her stomach as she fanned herself with the other.
“Camille, be nice. They just love us.” A chuckle leaving your mouth as you merge onto the highway. You slide your phone to Cam across the bench seat and tell her your passcode. “Put our playlist on. I’m not driving all day without music, you freak.” You roll the windows down and step on the gas as Journey begins to spill from the speakers.
・。・゜✭・・✫・゜・。・。・゜✭・・✫・゜・。・。・゜✭・・✫・゜・。・゜✭・・✫
Day three of driving, your last day. The two of you had fought about pretty much everything, music, who was driving, what hotel or motel you’d sleep in, what was for lunch or dinner. There were good times too, though. Sightseeing, weird rest stops, having to pull over on the highway so Cam could pee because she absolutely couldn’t hold it in until the next bathroom (something you’d be sure to tease her about for the rest of your lives). None of that seemed to matter when the U-Haul was finally parked in your new driveway. A small 2 bedroom brick home stared back at you as you started unloading your things, the emerald green door waiting for your keys.
“Hey C, I think we should unpack everything and then I can go return the U-Haul. I wanna get it over with sooner rather than later.” Yelling across the lawn, she agreed. You quickly passed boxes to her, not that there were too many in the truck. Finally empty, you and Camille headed inside to start unpacking boxes. You got your room set up enough to sleep in tonight, and told Cam you were headed out to return the U-Haul. You pulled out of the driveway, your favorite song playing as you turned out of the neighborhood, that is until your phone started ringing. Oh great, it’s your mother.
“Hi momma, we just got to the house! We’re finally home.” Your mother was so excited for you to get out of Washington, even if it meant being almost across the country from her.
“Hi baby! I’m so glad you girls made it safe. I just wanted to call because I have a gift for you.” Your mom couldn’t help but let out a choked sob. “You worked so hard to get out there, you saved so much money. Your dad and I wanted to get you something special.”
“Mom, you’ve got me worried. Why’re you crying?”
“Nothing wrong, y/n. We saved up some money for you to get a new guitar. A special one for your new life, in your new town. I just transferred you the money, my love.”
“We’ve never been more proud to be your parents.” Your dad chimed in, the pride and sadness of your move evident in his voice.
Tears streamed down your face as you thanked them, and promised to send pictures when you picked out your new guitar. You wrapped up the phone call, thanking her once more, right as you pulled into the U-Haul parking lot. You paid for your rental, and called an Uber, deciding to have it take you to a small local guitar shop. Ramblr’s Music. Repairs, sales, lessons. On top of getting a new guitar, who knows. Maybe you could score a job there.
A silver Honda pulled up next to you, and confirmed they were your Uber. As you slid into the backseat, you heard the music. A major guitar solo was playing, and it was stunning . Leaning forward and squinting your eyes you could see what it was. Greta Van Fleet. You made a mental note to check them out later, and made small talk with the Uber driver until you found yourself walking up to the little music shop. You’d barely been in Nashville five hours, and your life would already never be the same.
・。・゜✭・・✫・゜・。・。・゜✭・・✫・゜・。・。・゜✭・・✫・゜・。・。・゜✭
You’d been perusing the guitars for over an hour, but none of them felt right. You knew they were fine instruments, they just weren’t your dream guitar. They weren’t a vintage Les Paul SG. You’d wanted one for years, since you’d taken your music seriously. The shape, the sound. Something so classic and beautiful that the modern re-releases just couldn’t quite compare to. Fully knowing it was out of your budget, you decided to ask someone anyway. You found yourself walking toward the desk, a short kid maybe 17 standing there on his phone.
“Hey, I’ve been looking around and I don’t see what I was hoping to find. Do you maybe have any Les Paul SG’s? Maybe one in the back, or do you know where I could find one? I’m new in town and don’t really know where to look.” You let out a small laugh, immediately feeling out of your element.
“Actually, yeah. We’ve got one in the back that I guess has been on hold or something but it’s been weeks and the guy never came to get it. It’s in a case and everything, too. Let me go get it.” Popping his gum as he walked away, your heart was pounding. Were you actually about to buy your dream guitar? Something about Nashville was proving to be magical.
He came back, a busted black leather hard case in hand. “Here, look it over. I think it's a ‘61 but I could be wrong. Just started working here last week.” The clasps clanked as you pulled them up and off, finally lifting the lid to the case. There she was. A beautiful cherry stain on the wood, new strings and a crack down the bottom half of the guitar, only adding personality and proof the instrument was well loved prior to you. You carried the guitar over to an amp, plugging it in and sitting on the stool. You wrestled to figure out what song to play, finally deciding on one of the songs you’d put time into learning. Nothing Else Matters, your fathers favorite Metallica song. You’d spent hours learning to play it for him, and could remember the tears in his eyes when you finally showed him. A fond memory you now shared with your dream guitar. God, it played like perfection. You knew there was no way you’d walk out of this store without the cherry red beast.
You walked back to the counter and safely secured the guitar into the case after taking a photo. The new kid checked you out, enabling a purchase you probably shouldn’t have made. You ordered an Uber, and slipped into the backseat with your new baby.

Jakes POV
Tour had been beyond exhausting. You loved playing, you loved the fans, you loved seeing the different states and countries. The only thing you loved more? Being at home, in bed with some popcorn and whiskey, watching a documentary on pirates. Especially on a fine Wednesday night such as this. Finally rolling out of bed for the first time in hours, your slippers pull you down the stairs and into the kitchen in search of food more filling than the snacks upstairs. Regrettably, you hadn’t gone grocery shopping in some time, simply surviving on what was left in your pantry before you left on tour. A groan leaves your chest as you trudge back upstairs. Slipping on your favorite blue jeans and a button up, you find your car keys and make your way to the jeep sitting in your garage. You decided that while you were out, you might as well run the rest of the errands you’d been neglecting in lieu of alone time.
Your favorite playlist queued, and sunglasses pressed to your face, you pulled out of the garage and headed off to Ramblr’s. Your beloved guitar had taken far too much of a beating this last leg, and a crack appeared down the body. You had held her together for the last few shows using some electrical tape, the best thing you could get your hands on while on the road. On the way home from the airport, you dropped your guitar off to be repaired, only trusting Scott, the store owner, to repair your precious cargo. You rolled your car windows up, and hit your vape one last time before getting out and heading to the building. The second the shop doors opened, an uneasy feeling washed over you as the sounds of Scott screaming at some teenager filled your ears.
“Are you fucking stupid, or are you dumb Jeremy? No, you know what you are? Fucking fired. Get out of my shop!” Scott pushed over a small display of guitar straps and stomped off, leaving who you assumed was Jeremy in a crumpled sobbing mess on the floor. You walked over to him, and crouched down.
“Hey, Jeremy. Whatever’s going on, it’ll be okay. I’m Jake, and I’ve known Scott a real long time. I’m sure he’s just having a rough day. Let me go talk to him.”
Jeremy looked back at you in horror, and pushed himself away. “I’m so sorry sir. I’m so sorry.” He picked himself off of the floor, and bolted outside, not even bothering to collect his personal items or clock off. You weren’t sure what happened, but you knew it couldn’t be good.
You made your way to the back, where Scott’s office was and tried your best to mentally prepare yourself for whatever shit storm he was about to drop on you. You cleared your throat, and Scott’s eyes shot up to meet yours. His appearance disheveled, and tears of frustration threatened to fall down his face.
“Ah, shit. Hey kid. Come in, have a seat.” He motioned to the chair across from his desk. You shuffled over, and pulled the chair out before sinking into the plush cushion. He avoided eye contact with you, which was very unusual. You also noted him picking at his nails, something he did when stressed.
After a few minutes of silence, you decided to bite the bullet. “Give it to me straight, Scotty. What the hell is going on?”
His head dropped in shame, and he took a deep breath before shakily answering you. “Jake, that stupid new kid. He sold your guitar.”
Your blood ran cold, and suddenly all you saw was red. “Scott you’re fucking joking, right? Don’t fuck with me. Bring me my guitar.”
He shoved the paperwork towards you, all of it showing the colossal fuckup Jeremy had made. “I wish it was a joke, Jake. But the kid sold her off to some girl who came in a few hours ago. I don't even know how he screwed this up so bad.”
You ran a hand through your hair, and sighed. “Make me a copy of this. I’m gonna go find her.”
”I already tried the number Jake. She wont pick up.”
You stood from the chair and looked down at him. “Scott, just make me a damn copy.”
He left the room, and came back with the papers for you and continued to apologize profusely as you walked out of the store. The rain soaked your clothes as you walked to the car, your breath visible in the cold weather.
The paperwork told you basically nothing. Just her name, and an out of state phone number. The kid didn’t even fully fill out the sale paperwork, leaving the address and email slots bare. You got in the car, phone number in hand and hoped and prayed that she hadn’t left town. That guitar was your prized possession, the best gift you’d ever received. You’d been beyond floored when the Chicago Music Exchange let you have it, free of charge. And now, you had no idea where she was.
You took a shaky breath, and dialed the number. It didn’t even ring. You’d immediately been sent to voicemail, and the default one at that. You brought your hands to your face, and rubbed your eyes. How could Scott let this happen?

𝐖𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐎 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐑𝐎𝐂𝐊ˡᵉ⁷⁷
in which luke is your brother’s best friend.
warnings; pining, heavy make out session (but not quite smut), going after a sibling’s friend, little bit of an age gap (but totally legal i promise)
The music from the party throughout your house pulsed in your ears, your eyes blinded by the flashing lights that your older brother Max had set up in the living room. Luke was back in Toronto for the summer after his season with the Preds ended, and your brother thought there was no better way to celebrate than by getting black out drunk on a Friday night.
While a house party wasn’t your usual scene, you had to hand it to him - he had gone all out. In the middle of your kitchen island, a makeshift bar had been set up and boasted an array of drinks—beer, seltzers, and, of course, hard liquor. Nearby, your dining table was practically collapsing under the weight of takeout and finger foods. Laughter erupted as groups formed and dissolved, the animated conversations blending with the rhythm of the music.
Some guests, half of whose names you didn’t even know, gravitated towards the packed living room, where couches provided a safe place for French kissing and unfortunately, much more. The thought of what could go down on those couches practically made you sick, and you wanted nothing more than to find respite in a quieter area. So, naturally, you gravitated to your room.
Luke was in the kitchen talking to Max when he noticed your disappearance. It was fairly early in the night, but Max had already had one too many, and as much as Luke loved his best friend, he would rather be spending time with you. He wouldn’t admit to anyone, but the hardest part of Luke’s time in Nashville this past season was his lack of seeing you, “Hey, Max, I’m gonna head to the bathroom, alright? I’ll meet you back here soon!” Luke shouted over the music blasting, but Max was too busy to notice, so he slipped away easily enough.
Once in your room, you collapsed on your bed, quickly reaching over to shuffle a random playlist. You were trying to focus hard on the lyrics of “Lovers Rock”, but the truth is that you couldn’t keep your mind from wandering to the brown-haired boy downstairs.
It’s no secret that from preschool and onward, Luke Evangelista and your older brother Max had been inseparable, their friendship an unbreakable bond forged over girls, shared secrets, countless adventures, and most importantly (to them), their hockey careers. They had always been the perfect balance of humor and seriousness, hard work and slacking off, and, when it came to you, kindness and smallmindedness.
With three years between you and Max, he had always viewed you as the annoying little sister. Growing up, you didn’t have many friends, which meant that oftentimes, you would ask to hangout with him and Luke. And, oftentimes, that question would lead to Max slamming his bedroom door in your face. Luke, however, was different. Whenever he would come over and see you alone while Max was off doing something else, he would always offer to tag along. He would ask you about your favorite movies, songs, and books, and would even let you join some games of street hockey and pond hockey when the weather was nice. It didn’t take long for you to grow comfortable with Luke, his presence as an older brother figure becoming all too familiar in your life. Yet, amidst the comfort and familiarity, subtle shifts began to occur as the two of you grew older. A lingering glance here, a touch that lasted a moment too long there—small, almost imperceptible signs that something more profound was stirring beneath the surface.
Luke had been Max’s best friend for as long as you could remember. Growing up, he was like another brother to you, always around, always apart of your family. But recently, something had shifted. You couldn’t pinpoint exactly when it had started, but your feelings for Luke had changed. And, if you weren’t mistaken, his feelings for you had changed as well.
And Max knew nothing of it.
The sound of footsteps outside of your door made your heart skip a beat. A gentle knock followed, and you knew who it was before he even spoke.
“Y/N, it’s Luke. Can I come in?”
You froze, but tried to hide it as best as you could, “Sure,” you replied, trying to keep your voice steady.
Luke opened the door and stepped inside, closing it softly behind him. He looked around your room, a place he had been countless times over the years, but tonight felt different. “I didn’t mean to interrupt,” Luke spoke softly, nodding toward the direction of your phone.
“You’re not interrupting,” you assured him, sitting up slowly to pause the music. He smiled softly, gently asking for permission to move closer. You nodded.
He took a seat on the edge of your bed, a little closer to you than he ever had before. Turning his head to look at you, he sighed, “I just wanted to talk.”
You furrowed your eyebrows, a look of slight confusion etched across your face. It wasn’t rare for Luke to hang out in your room whenever he wanted to get away from tons of overwhelming activity, but this was different, and quite honestly made you a little nervous, “About what?” you asked, your curiosity piqued.
He rubbed his thumb across his nose, which had forever been one of his nervous habits. Throughout your guys’ childhoods, you had noticed it countless times - when he and Max performed in the fifth grade talent show, when he watched Canada win gold at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, and when he was called up to play for Nashville for the first time. But you had never noticed it as intensely as you had in this moment, “About us,” he said, his voice just barely above a whisper.
Your heart raced. You had been hoping for this conversation for the longest time, but were now suddenly terrified of it. Nervously, you made eye contact with him, flames of his own anxiety dancing in his warm brown eyes, “What about us?”
Luke looked at you, sincerity extinguishing the anxious fire that was previously burning in his eyes, “I’ve been feeling something for awhile now, and I think you have too. I just… I just don’t want to hide it anymore.”
You felt a rush of relief mixed with nervous excitement as you struggled to process Luke’s words. Nashville Predators star Luke Evangelista just admitted his feelings for you. The boy that you had known since you were two years old had just admitted his feelings for you. Your older brother’s best friend had just admitted his feelings for you. You smiled quickly, replying almost instantly, “I feel the same way, Luke. I’ve been terrified to say anything because of Max.”
Luke nodded, his thumb dropping from his nose as his confidence began to grow more and more by the minute, “I know. But he’s not here now, and I don’t want to waste any more time pretending.”
With those words, the space between the two of you seemed to disappear. Luke leaned in slowly, giving you plenty of time to pull away if you wanted to. But you didn’t. Instead, you closed the distance, your lips meeting in a tender, hesitant kiss.
The kiss deepened, and soon the two of you were lost in each other. Luke’s hands gently cradled your face, and you ran your fingers through his wavy locks, pulling him closer. Every touch, every movement felt electric, charged with the intensity of your guys’ long neglected feelings.
For a moment, you pulled apart, breathless. “Are you okay?” Luke asked you, his forehead resting against yours.
You nodded, a shy smile playing on your lips, “More than okay.”
Luke kissed you again, this time more passionately. The two of you fell back onto the bed, your bodies pressing together, all of the noise of the world outside of your room fading away. It was just the two of you, both you and Luke finally giving in to what each of you wanted.
Time seemed to stop to stand still as you explored each other, learning the curves and lines of each other’s bodies, memorizing the taste and feel of each kiss. It was as if the both of you were making up for all the moments that you had kept your feelings hidden.
Eventually, you lay side by side, tangled in each others arms, your breathing slowly returning to normal. Luke brushed a strand of hair from your face, his eyes filled with a mixture of affection and wonder.
“This changes everything, doesn’t it?” you murmured, your voice soft.
Luke sighed, pressing a soft kiss to the top of your head, “Yes,” he agreed. “But I think it’s for the better.”
You traced your fingers on his bare chest as you nodded, speaking quickly, “I don’t want to tell him just yet.”
“Then we won’t,” Luke reassured, his fingers intertwining with yours, “we have all the time in the world, pretty girl.”
You nodded, feeling a sense of peace and security wash over you. The two of you would have to navigate this new situation, figure out how to tell Max, which scared the hell out of you (and Luke, but he wasn’t going to admit that to you at this moment). But in that moment, all that mattered was that you and Luke were together.
As you drifted off to sleep, wrapped safely in Luke’s embrace, you knew that whatever the future held, you would face it side by side (even if that meant forcing Luke out of your house through your bedroom window, or having an escape route at all times for the time being). And that was more than enough.

Modern Witchers
So this contractor drives into this tiny town, way out in the sticks, in the kind of beat-up white van used by many tradesman, and allegedly favored by murderous kidnappers.
He's got white hair that you're not sure is bleached or not, strange eyes short manners. Maybe (probably) he kinda gives you the creeps. White van, stranger-danger, big guy with muscles, and all. Bad vibes.
But you've got a problem, no denying: there's SOMETHING in those woods that doesn't belong there, and recently, when the local boys went to DO something about it... that SOMETHING went from killing livestock, to killing people to. And you know, once those types of creatures get a taste for human blood... best to deal with it sooner, rather than later. Hence, the out-of-town contractor.
Witchers specialize in hunting monsters, after all.
Better to put together a fundraiser to pay the (frankly, outrageous) fees now, then to have to pay all that later, plus the surcharge for beasts that've killed multiple people, plus pulling together the funds for more funerals.
A stitch in time save nine, as the saying goes.
He's got a musician hitchhiking with him, which you weren't expecting. Some hapless hitchhiker with a dufflebag over his shoulder, and a guitar on his back, who got lost on the way to Vegas, or Nashville, or wherever it is starry-eyed musicians go to Make It Big, these days.
Auntie said that any hitchhiker with sense'd be better off walking down a lonely road, instead of getting into a van like that, driven by a man like that. But I guess it takes all kinds of kinds, and that musician hadn't been murdered yet, so make of that what you will.
Anyhow, the musician started busking in the farmer's market-- some decent covers, a few original songs, and some kind of surprisingly catchy jingle for the contractor who'd given him a lift into town. It was pretty good; live music is always a treat when you can get it, and it'd been a while since the last Bluegrass Festival.
He knew how to charm people, work the crowd, how to ask for "donations to the fine arts" without being irritating about it. People dropped cash, and pennies, and quarters, into his open guitar case, at any rate.
I reckon he scraped together at least enough for lunch, form himself'n his friend. Witchers are surly and stingy as anything, y'know, so I wondered why he wasn't covering the meal, with how much he'd charged for slaying the monster...
...But I overheard mention of how he'd had to get that van fixed up at Joe's Auto-Mechanics, over by the old factory in the valley-- and everyone knows that Joe's Auto'll charge three times what the repairs are worth, with parts that cost ten times as much as they oughtta. Lord knows, those scammers'd be out of business, if there were any better options within 50 miles of their shop!
And that is why if you think your truck's getting ready to break down, you should try an' make sure it breaks down closer to home. And also why I figure it makes sense that even a Witcher'd be short on cash, after dealing with 'em.
Anyway, the Witcher spoke with the Sheriff, and he went out monster-hunting that night.
Meanwhile, that hitchhiking musician was playing at the local bar, and let me tell you-- he was pretty damn good! Played a few drinking-songs, and the kind of songs you can't play in front of the kiddos at Farmer's Market, played some catchy tunes that had people dancing and clapping along...!
I particularly enjoyed the murder-ballad about the woman who turned into a vengeful fire-monster when she found out her man was messing around with other women. Very clever wordplay, "flames of desire lighting up your funeral pyre!" Good stuff.
Then the Witcher came in-- fresh from the contract, and half-covered in mud and blood! Barkeep wouldn't even let him sit down until he'd hosed off the worst of it, out back!
Musician-- Jaskier, he called himself-- raised a toast to a successful hunt, and another to monster-hunters who let loving families sleep safely, and rowdy drunks stumble home un-eaten, and soon enough somebody was buying that Witcher a drink, and the barkeep gave him a plate of food on the house, and it was good times all around!
Beats toasting newly-dead friends, and drinking to forget the monsters at the door, any day.
The thing is, this is a small town. Not a lot of people come visit, and if they do, they're generally staying with family. Which is to say, there aren't any motels around here.
Now, that contractor, that Witcher, he'd asked around, beforehand, about what was available, in terms of overnight accomodations-- which, let's be honest, isn't much around here. Come morning, I saw that beat-up van parked outside the Rosebud Bed & Breakfast.
Now Rosebud's is a nice place, a respectable establishment, but we all know they've had some trouble since that big storm last month, when a tree smashed through the roof! Las I checked, that Bed & Breakfast only had the one bed fit for guests to sleep in!
Might've been a rather one-sided bidding war, or a tight fit, with two out-of-towners vying for a roof overhead, that night. But that's none of my business.
Jaskier the musician left town with the Witcher-- Geralt Rivera, I think the name was-- same as he came in. Well, makes sense that he wouldn't want to stay long enough to put down roots, a young musician on a mission to see the world and/or become rich and famous.
The Witcher, Geralt, did good work with the monster, too. I guess that's why they're the experts... Some folks are talking about having what's left of the beasty taxidermy'd, did you know? Might make a decent tourist attraction, or a decoration for Town Hall, or something. I don't know.
Anyway, all that's to say... don't let anybody tell you there's not still a need for Witchers, in the modern day.

White Roses: Josh Kiszka x Reader Fanfiction
description: when invited to join josh on tour, you were elated with the idea and accepted almost immediately. although you had always pushed your feelings aside of wanting something more with your best friend, this trip had you believe there was a deeper, underlying reason that you were brought along.
word count: 8.5k+
trope: friends to lovers
taglist for future fics
warnings below cut…
⊱ ━━━━.⋅ εïз ⋅.━━━━ ⊰
warnings: fluff, lots of angst, good amount of plot, smut, voyeurism, fingering, unprotected sex, swearing, usage of alcohol
a/n: just a tiny reminder that this takes place during DIG, and in an instance in which none of the shows got cancelled! that's all:)
⊱ ━━━━.⋅ εïз ⋅.━━━━ ⊰
Sitting on the tour bus as it drove bumpily along the highway road, you had caught yourself examining the interior of the bus while the boys chatted about nonsense, and wondered how you were even able to get yourself in this position.
You had known Josh since high school, where you two met in drama club and performed a few shows together. You always had high hopes for him, whether it was with him pursing film, or taking the route of performing as the lead singer of Jake's band.
Watching him grow into his own person was entrancing to you. You always had underlying feelings for him that you buried in the back of your mind, as you always had the assumption that he would never reciprocate such feelings. Ever since you had known him, his charisma charmed you, and you found yourself hooked onto him like a fish on a line.
Seeing him truly become his own individual person was remarkable. He had newfound confidence, dazzling the stage and turning on a new persona that was utterly flamboyant. Yet, you always knew of him to be the dorky kid that could light up a room with only a smile.
Frankly, no one was Josh, not even his twin brother. No one compared to him, and that’s why after all these years you still had feelings for him. After finding yourself in love with your best friend, and not being able to see him as much as you used to, you reminded yourself of things about his face and vernacular that you never wanted erased from your brain. Like the light dimple on his face when he smiled, to the way he used big words that you never quite understood (he was known for being utterly intelligent). How his perfectly sculpted nose crinkled up when he laughed. The gravel in his voice, the way his eyes looked at you tentatively when you spoke. There was so much more you liked to think about pertaining to Josh, but there were no amount of words in the English language to allow you to express such gratitude for him and his presence.
Watching him pack up his things for Nashville and leaving you behind in Michigan was much more detrimental than you could've imagined. You had hoped your feelings for him would subdue overtime, but to no avail. But you know what they say, "distance makes the heart grow fonder".
While you were happy that he was able to travel the world and pursue his dream through music, you longed for his presence again. He would often visit to see his family and some other long-distance friends, but he ended up devoting most of his time to you. You had the usual routine of sitting on top of the hood of his car outside and admire the view of the stars above you in the summertime, but when it was winter, you two would glance up at the night sky from the comfort of your skylight in your home.
When he was back in town right before their “Dreams In Gold” tour was about to begin, lying down next to you on the floor as your guys' eyes were caught in the skylight window, he had asked you to join him on tour for their US leg.
"Are, are you sure, Josh?" You asked him, turning your cheek into the cool floor of your living room. You were lying flat on your back next to Josh when he posed the question.
"Of course, I'm sure. I wouldn't ask you if I wasn't 100% certain." He said to you with a smile. "The guys wouldn't mind it a bit, and it's a free vacation for you as well." His eyes walked back up to the stars that danced above him.
"How much do I have left to give you an answer?" You asked.
"As soon as possible." He shrugged as he kept his eyes on the night sky. "But I hope you'd say yes immediately."
"You're quite persuasive, I must say," you huffed a laugh, which he matched, "but don't get your hopes up. I still have to run it by work." You extended your finger to him.
And as soon as you were able to get the time off of work needed, you packed your bags, and set off on the road with them a bit after their shows in Michigan, which you attended.
Now, here you were, sat in the makeshift living room with the band inside of the tour bus after their previous show, on your way with the band to Omaha, Nebraska. You had been on the road with them for quite a bit of time, following their strict routine every single day. It was a bit hectic at first, but you eventually got into the habit of it all.
You had your fair share of drinks with the guys, chatting about various topics and different things that occurred at the show. They had different conversations about their own performances, along with some things they noticed on stage. You sat there mute, admiring the white roses Josh gave to you after every show, which sat in a small, clear vase in the middle of the table.
"Think you might need a reminder of the words to 'Safari Song', Josh." Jake poked at his brother.
"I can get it perfect during soundcheck, but of course, the words just slip my mind when performing. It's fucking annoying." He threw his hand up, setting it down on the table and drawing circles on the material with his fingers.
You turned your attention to Josh after his voice brought you back into the conversation. "I think you just need to articulate your words a bit more." You said to him.
"Are you saying that you can't understand what I say when I'm singing?" He looked to you with joking frustration.
"Just like most of our fan base." Sam snorted a laugh, which had Danny covering his mouth to hide his amusement.
"You guys are lucky I'm self-aware, or else I would be extremely hurt by the criticism." Josh pointed at each of the boys, and then let his eyes rest on you.
"I'm just surprised you're not sweating more in those jumpsuits with all of that pyro." You said to him.
"That's why I have detachable sleeves, my dear." He winked at you as he bumped his elbow into your arm.
"I'm surprised my hair hasn't caught on fire yet. Sometimes that shit seems a bit closer than you think." Danny said with a toss of his hair. He took another sip of his beer, looking towards Sam.
"Let's just hope there aren't any pyro accidents in the near future, or those luscious locks will be stripped from you." Sam chimed in, tugging on Danny's mane and eliciting a laugh from him.
The conversation grew into other sorts of different topics other than their performances, such as the new places they were bound to perform at, and even setting a few bets of what they predict the next shows would be like. You had thrown in a few laughs at different jokes, nodding along to the conversations, but your mind was somewhere else. Your mind was on the mere heat produced by Josh's body, which you could just barely feel with him sitting next to you.
The side of Josh's thigh, clothed by a pair of brown joggers was pressed against your own, with his hand just inches from your fingertips. He wasn’t out of reach, but you felt like he was. You had missed the proximity between the two of you, but sometimes, it had become a bit unbearable. Your lingering feelings had yet to float away from your mind, and although you had desperately tried to remind yourself that there was no way that a relationship with him was realistic, you held onto the hope of possibility.
With a loud, abrupt noise onto the table of Sam slamming his hand onto it to announce his departure off to his bunk, Danny followed closely behind to get some rest for the night.
"Has sleeping on the couch been comfortable for you?" Jake asked you, as the bus grew quieter while Sam and Danny settled in for the night.
"It's not too bad," you started, "it's actually more comfortable than you'd think. You should try it out sometime." You jokingly offered.
"Think I'll stick with my bed, thank you very much." He gave you a light smile.
"You know you can always join me, right?" Josh said to you in a whisper, yet loud enough for Jake to hear. "I don't mind at all, really." His eyes held your own in such a captivating way, with the light dimly showcasing the different hues of brown in his eyes.
"I don't want to be a bother. Besides, the couch does the trick." You gave him a small smile.
You had slept next to Josh on a multitude of occasions, but never curled up next to him in a bed. It was always falling asleep on one's shoulder after a late-night movie, with his arm draped over the back of the couch, and his hand finding its way into the back of your head to tussle your hair.
"Well, I think it's time for me to head to bed then. Got to get my beauty rest in." Josh said, squeezing you into the side of his body, then watching as Jake stood to allow him to get off from the couch and go into the quarters where the bunks resided.
Jake scooted in next to you, with his eyes wandering off to where Josh left, then looking to you with a light smile.
"You really did enjoy the show?" He asked you in a whisper.
"Yes, I always do. You guys are always amazing up there." You gave him a smile.
He matched your smile, nodding at you and looking over his shoulder before turning back to you.
You and Jake grew a good friendship, that was reminiscent to a brotherly love. Since you were often with his twin, you were bound to grow a relationship with him, and you never minded it. He was someone you considered, other than Josh, to be a close friend.
"Liking the tour so far? Not too hectic for you?" He said to you with his hands folded onto the table.
"It was a bit crazy at first, but I think I'm getting into the swing of things. Don't know how you guys keep up with this kind of shit, anyways." You giggled.
"I think we're just kind of used to it, now," he shrugged, "but it's nice to have company along the road. Thanks for coming with us, by the way." He elbowed you.
"I was a bit worried I would get in the way of things when Josh asked me to join, but-."
"I promise you you're not in the way at all," he cut you off quickly in reassurance, "it's nice to have you around - we all feel that way."
You gave him a light smile in appreciation, finding yourself fiddling with your thumbs and keeping your eyes locked on the movements.
"What are you thinking about?" He bumped his elbow into you, scooting closer to you and waiting for your eyes to flick to his.
"Deciding whether I'm tired or not." You said, which was an obvious lie. Jake could read you easily, and you knew that. But you had hopes that he wouldn't be able to decipher your false truth.
Your expectation of him not to push you further was shut down when he lightly scoffed. "Thinking about Josh, huh?"
Jake was well aware of your crush for his twin. You had accidentally told him after one too many drinks a few years ago when you were at a party in their childhood home, when you sat outside with Jake as Josh left to grab more drinks for the three of you. You were grateful Jake had yet to say anything to his brother.
"How'd you guess?" You sighed, finally choosing to look at him with a tired expression.
He lightly chuckled at your faux annoyance. "Why haven't you said anything to him yet?"
"Why do you think?" You scoffed at him. "We've always just been friends, Jake. He's too busy for a fucking relationship anyways, and I'd prefer to choose safety than an awkward rejection."
"I guess I'm a bystander in all of this, but you don't really realize the way someone looks at you when it's directed, well, at you." He began. "The whole 'just friends' thing is bullshit, in my opinion. I've always kind of thought things would work out with you two in the end." He gave you a light shrug.
"He's never hinted at anything more with me. I mean, God, I remember when we spent one last night together before you guys moved to Nashville. If something was supposed to happen between us, it would've happened then."
"What happened that night anyways? You guys kind of disappeared from the party, and Josh never really went into depth of what happened."
"Well," you flattened your hands on the table as you drummed the surface, "I told him that it was getting late and that it was best if I should head home, as I didn't see a point in me staying over at your guys' home because it would hurt more to watch you guys leave. But I guess knowing was much harder to accept then actually seeing it."
⊱ ━━━━.⋅ εïз ⋅.━━━━ ⊰
"Wait, you're leaving?" Josh said, grabbing your arm as you grabbed onto your purse.
"It's late, and I should let you guys get your sleep because I know you have an early flight." You said with a light frown.
Josh's eyes fell, with his lips turning into a pout and glancing around the room at the slowly dying party.
"Can you stay for a few more minutes, with me?" He asked quietly, visibly showing how hurt he was by your departure. "Please?"
You looked at the clock, noticing it was nearing midnight. You didn't want to leave him like this, preferring a private goodbye with him instead of this being the final moment that you'd see him before he made his journey.
"Okay." You said with a nod, a light sigh lingering out of your mouth.
He gave you a wide smile, tugging on your arm and having you drag your feet quickly along with his quick movements out the front door.
"Josh-."
"Sit on the hood of my car." He motioned to his Jeep, watching as you stood idle. "Go on. That way, when you're ready to leave, you're already right next to your car."
Your car was parked outside of their home on the street, begging to stay there for as long as possible and never let Josh out of your sight.
You thought the sentiment was nice, so you hopped on top of it, and allowed him to sit himself next to you. You set your purse next to you and watched as he joined you on your other side. He immediately wrapped his arm around your back, tugging you into him and allowing your faces to be mere inches apart.
"I'm going to miss this, you know," he looked to you, "well, I'm going to miss doing all of this shit with you."
You nodded, feeling a knot tightening in your throat and finding words harder to utter than before.
"Why don't you just move to Nash with us and make this a bit easier on me?" He chuckled. You forced a light laugh out, masking your breaking heart that was crumbling to pieces as you spent your last moments with him.
"You know I can't do that," you looked to him, "as much as I'd like to, you guys have to do this on your own. You can't just have me around forever. I'll be fine here, I promise. As long as you come to visit every once in a while."
"It's not like we won't talk all the time either," he smiled at you, "I mean, we do it enough as is. I don’t plan on just leaving Michigan behind forever. I’ll come see you as much as I can, I promise."
Your cheeks began to burn, with your vision beginning to blur as tears formed in the waterline of your eyes. You didn't want Josh to see you cry, although he had plenty of times, but this was the one time in which it was because of him. You were upset because he was leaving you behind, by choice, although you knew it was the best for him. You wanted to tell him that you loved him, tell him that he can’t leave without knowing how you felt. But that would only make things worse on the both of you, and it didn’t feel right to speak up about your feelings for him now.
"Hey, hey," he brought his hand to your cheek, "don't cry. That's going to make me cry." He forced a laugh, but his lips faltered into a pout.
Your lips trembled as you tried to swallow your tears down and force a smile, to try and stay strong for your best friend. But you couldn't find it in yourself to do it.
"Fuck, Josh," you laughed, your voice whaling out into a whine, "I'm going to miss you like crazy."
Josh swiped a fallen tear off of your cheek with his thumb, giving you a nod as his face grew into a sympathetic look.
"This is just as hard for me as it is for you - trust me," he said gently, "but I'm going to miss you a lot, too. I meant it when I said I’d come back and see you when I can and talk to you every day. This isn't goodbye forever, y/n. This is a 'see you later', okay?"
You nodded at him, burrowing your face into his shoulder and allowing yourself to cry. To release all of your broken emotions onto him as he held you in his arms. You didn't care that this would be how he left you, because frankly, you couldn't fight it back. You began to hiccup into the sleeve of his shirt, and while he tried to console you by rubbing your back and humming a low tune, it only made your heart ache more. You didn't know when you'd see him again, or better yet, how long you'd have to wait for that time to arise.
"I can assure you that I won't forget about you." He pressed his chin into the top of your head.
That had you laughing through your tears. "I know that."
"Just wanted to make sure," he said with a smile, which you heard in his voice, "and maybe when we're settled into our homes in Nashville, you can fly down to see us. All of us enjoy your company."
You sniffled, running the back of your hand under your nose and lifting your head from his shoulder and trying to remember every detail in his face that your brain would allow you to obtain. Because through a Facetime call, you wouldn't be able to see every minute detail of his face. The curve of his jawline and nose, to the light freckles that lined his nose just barely when it became summertime.
"I'd love that." You gave him a light smile, continuing to try and push through your grief.
"It kills me to see you cry," he said, placing his hand on your face to allow any falling tears to soak into his skin, "it's taking everything in me not to cry. But it helps to know that this won't be the last time I see you. You have to remember that, too, okay?" He said with a light jerk of your face.
Your eyes glanced at his plush lips, noticing they rested parted as he finished talking to you. You met his eyes, noticing a light glisten in them of faint tears beginning to form. You had never seen him cry, and you definitely did not want to see it now; not with the state you were currently in.
"Yeah, we'll see each other again." You nodded, placing your hand around his wrist and forcing a smile onto your face, although your cheeks battled the expression.

"Jeez," Jake hissed, "that must've been really hard to go through."
"Believe me, it was." You shook your head at him. "I think I cried myself to sleep for a week or two. Just kind of felt...empty, without him. Is that bad?"
Jake placed his hand on top of your fiddling ones, to stop your motions and keep your attention onto him.
"Not at all, y/n. I mean, it's hard watching someone you care about move away, and having unresolved feelings behind it, too. But, if I were you, I wouldn't waste another moment telling him how you felt." He said to you.
You nodded at him, noticing he had kept his hand on top of yours and seeing that his eyes rested upon you.
"Wait, you mean now?" You whispered harshly with wide eyes.
"Why wait? It’s been long enough, anyways. I'm sure he's just getting settled into bed. The other guys are most likely dead asleep, and I know for a fact as soon as I hit my bed, I'll be out like a light." He said with a huffed laugh, which you matched. "You'll get some privacy, don't worry."
He removed his hand from on top of yours, picking up the scattered beer cans and bottles and discarding them. He looked to you, waiting for you to stand, and follow through with his advice.
You stood with shaky hands, sweat accumulating on your palms and wiping them onto your grey shorts.
"You'll be okay, I promise." He placed his hand on your shoulder and allowing his hand to drop at his side.
"Thank you for talking with me about this, Jake." You gave him a small, tight-lipped smile, and brought him into a short embrace. He squeezed you into his body, then watched as you made your way to the bunks.
You knew Josh's was the one on the bottom right, with Jake's on top of his. Your hands trembled as you grabbed at the curtain, your blood pumping fear throughout your body from the anticipation of the situation. You tugged at your bottom lip and just barely parted the curtain, whispering Josh's name and waiting for a response. When he didn't stir, you finally opened it fully, to see his bare back turned to you. The sounds of the rings that held the white fabric onto the rod had you cower away from the noise, but you kept your eyes locked on the slow rise and fall of Josh's shoulders that signified his slumber.
You began to tug the curtain close, but something deep down told you that you shouldn't put this off any longer. That you should follow through with this and put your anxious feelings aside of confronting him about your feelings.
"Josh?" You whispered out again.
This time, he let out a quiet groan, turning his body over and facing you with squinted eyes. The bus was almost pitch-black, with dim lights illuminating the floor for safety purposes.
"Y/n? Everything okay?" He asked you with a groggy voice.
"I can't sleep," you lied, "mind if I join you?"
"Not at all." He said with a smile, opening the blanket up for you as an invitation. He appeared to be in his briefs, and although you had seen him in his underwear before, something about the sight in this moment had you growing a lump in your throat.
You crawled in next to him under the sheets, and although it was a bit cramped, you didn't mind it at all. You liked that you were forced to be pressed up against Josh, despite it not helping your nervousness about the situation.
You started with lying flat on your back, but Josh tucked his arm under your body, and turned you to face him with his head resting just above your own.
"So, the couch isn't as comfortable as you made it out to be, huh?" He whispered to you with a coy grin.
"Maybe I twisted the truth a bit, but I'm usually fine sleeping on it." You said back to him.
He hummed in response. "Well, I don't mind this new arrangement."
While he had one hand tucked under your side and placed on the middle of your back, the other rested at your waist. Your heart was nearly leaping out of your chest with its rapid pace, and you began to form different sentences in your head to try and keep the conversation going and lead it into the real reason why you were sleeping next to him this night.
"Thank you," you whispered to him, "for bringing me along on, and all the roses you've given me after each show. It really means a lot to me."
He scooted himself down a bit to meet your face, looking at you with half-lidded eyes and a sleepy grin. "Of course. I'm glad you decided to come with. The roses are just a gift of my gratitude for you." He said to you.
He always knew the right words to say to you. Your heart tugged at his own, begging for him to just kiss you. You had all this pent-up fear inside of your body, and the proximity between you two didn't help contain your nervousness.
"I've missed spending time with you, you know. This whole tour thing kind of helps make up for missed time." You continued to beat around the bush.
"I've missed you, too - believe me," he tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, "I'm just glad that you're here with me, y/n."
"I am, too." You said to him.
And once the conversation died down, Josh had told you, "Goodnight, sleep well," and shut his eyes to fall into his slumber. You watched as his eyes twitched lightly to rest, lightly tugging you closer to him as he tried to sleep.
You just watched him for a few moments, admiring his perfect features, and guiltily letting your eyes fall to his plush lips. Figuring that he was too tired to have a conversation with you, your body turned itself over, away from him.
You allowed him to spoon you, and due to the space being beyond cramped, he was willingly forced to be pressed into you. You could feel the softness of him through his briefs into your ass, and your body was nearly set on fire at the feeling. His arm that was draped over your side and rested near your stomach tightened you towards his body, and now you were done for. He seemed to have no issue with the closeness, and that had your heart ringing in your ears.
You could feel him, and it was almost too much for you. You had never slept in this position with Josh before, let alone with the lack of clothing by him. You weren't uncomfortable by this, but you knew you'd wake up in a sweat if you didn't just ask him the question that's been plaguing your mind and get you out of this position briefly.
"Why'd you ask me to come on tour with you?" You whispered out to him in a breath.
It took him a few moments to respond. "What do you mean?"
You turned over, meeting his face a bit closer than you had expected. His hand had rested at your waist now, lightly lying there as if it was normal for it to be resting there. At first, you stuttered from how close his lips were to brushing yours, but you cleared your throat, and tried your best to formulate a sentence.
"I'm just a bit confused on why you ask me now to come, when you could've asked me years ago to join you guys. I don't mind it all, but it was just a bit sudden, you know?"
He released a light sigh, averting his eyes from you for a second as he looked down, then flicking them back to you. He swallowed - hard, and you noticed that his touch had lightened on you.
"I enjoy your company, y/n." He shrugged to you.
You knew this game he was playing it. It was the same one you had been a master at all of these years: beating around the bush and running around the truth.
"That's not the whole truth and you know that." You said to him as you grew lightly agitated. Just spit it out, Josh.
"There's no amount of time that's just enough to spend with you," he began, "and frankly, I wanted to have you pack your shit and move to Nashville with me." He said with a hushed laugh, which you matched. "Distance is hard, tougher than I expected. I don't want to leave you again without you knowing that I've been in love you with all these years. I brought you on tour as a sort of stupid test, to see if you could handle the kind of life I live. And since you've been handling all this shit well, I know that we could make things work if we tried."
Your eyes were wide, your heart inside of your throat as you listened to him speak. He had been in love with you for as long as you have had the same feelings for him, and it was such a relief to hear him say the words you longed to hear. You were left a bit speechless, but your mind was certain that you wanted to close the gap between yours and Josh's lips and kiss him into oblivion.
"I never knew how to tell you, and I didn't expect me to share my feelings with you in a bed on a tour bus," he chuckled once more, "but it just feels right. Doesn't it for you?"
You nodded vigorously. "Yes, yes it does, Josh." You sounded a bit desperate with your words, but you didn't care. You had to make sure he knew you felt the same way. So, you continued. "I have had feelings for you the moment we met. I just figured none of this could work out with the kind of life you live, compared to mine. But I want to try, I really do."
"Okay," he said with a smile, "so then let's start now."
He placed his hand on your face, guiding you to his lips and pressing a tender kiss upon you. You took in a sharp inhale as the taste of his minty breath hit your tastebuds, and his lips began to move with yours in a fluid motion. You had yearned for the taste of his mouth, and now it had become an addictive drug to you. The pulse of your heart was set ablaze, and it felt as though it was about to explode out of your chest. You even let your eyes open just a bit to see that it was Josh who you were kissing, and not anyone else. To be reminded that his lips were upon your own, and that this wasn't just a dream.
His insistent mouth parted against yours, sliding his tongue along yours and tasting at your mouth. Your senses were sent into overdrive, and you felt like you were melting into him. You had a hand on his face, then bringing it to the back of his head to tug at his hair, to keep him locked on your lips as a plea to never stop.
His lips were softer than a feather, and he kissed ever so perfectly. All of this felt right; to kiss Josh and be in this moment with him. When you felt his hand move to your waist and tug you closer to his body, and the kiss growing harsher, you knew what you were in for. You were nervous that the sounds of your lips smacking into one another were echoing off the walls, but you were too addicted to the way his mouth tasted of mint to let that fear ruin this for you.
He snaked his hand between your bodies and allowed it to roam under your shirt. You threw your leg over his own and allowing him to move in closer to your body, to tell him silently that you wanted him to continue, and never falter the motions of his mouth on yours.
His hand massaged your breast, toying with your nipple, and you released a light whimper against his lips. He smiled into your mouth, squeezing lightly at the bud just to test his limits. You were practically moaning as quietly as you could into his mouth, but he wasn't denying you of it.
His lips trailed to the nape of your neck, and you pushed your hair off your shoulder and craned the body part to allow him easier access to the skin. He was tender with the nibbles he cursed upon your skin, sucking agonizingly slow and reaching your collarbone. He dragged his tongue along your pulse point to your jaw and turned your face into his to allow his lips back onto yours.
You felt the pads of his fingers slowly moving their way down your stomach, and the hand that once occupied your back had moved to the side of your face that was pressed against the pillow. The leg you had hooked over his was beginning to slowly spread more for him, while you adjusted your other leg to be in a better position for his hands.
As soon as he made contact with your clit, rubbing torturously slow circles on the sensitive bud, you released a light gasp and breaking the kiss. He chuckled lightly at your reaction, pecking your lips and tuning into your heavy breathing.
"You're going to have to be a bit quieter than that if we're going to do this here, mama." He said into your lips, then resting his forehead against your own.
You nodded against his head, pressing your lips together tightly and exhaling the lightest sound of a whimper. You had your teeth digging into your bottom lip, piercing at the skin and hoping to God that you wouldn't make another loud sound.
"This okay?" He asked, although he already has his hand on you. It was as if he was posing the question just to hear your gratitude for his touch.
"Yes, more than okay." You nodded vigorously, with your voice low to a whisper. "Feels so good."
His fingers slipped inside of you, and your mouth dropped open as your eyes rolled into the back of your head with euphoria. You could feel his length twitching against your stomach, and with the way his fingers were pumping into you and curling effortlessly, you were unsure how quiet you could be.
"Josh." You whimpered as his fingers found that singular sweet spot inside of you.
He stopped his motions almost immediately and pressed his pointer finger onto your lips. He captivated your attention with his eyes as he dragged his finger down your lips and causing your bottom one to recoil back to its original position.
He scooted closer to you, propping himself on his free arm and leaning into your ear. You were now on your back, and he continued the slow pumping motions of his fingers.
"Need help keeping quiet, mama?" He said to you with a lustful, deep voice. You nodded at him, waiting for him to finally look back to you.
He placed his hand flatly on your mouth to muffle your cries of ecstasy, testing your limits by speeding the pace of his fingers inside of you. You let your moans rumble against his palm, and to your ears, it was quiet enough. You looked to him with eyes of adoration, while his jaw was hung open as he kept his focus on watching his fingers move through your shorts.
"Should probably take these off." He offered to you by leaning into your ear as his fingers faltered into a steady, slower pace. You quickly obliged, struggling to throw your shorts and panties off of your body as he kept his fingers inside of you. Despite the awkward position, you were able to kick them both off of your ankles to rest at the end of the bed.
"Better?" He asked you, and you nodded against your hand. "Wanna try keeping quiet again, mama?" You grabbed his wrist and removed his hand slowly with a smile plastered on your face, which he matched, and pressed a feathery-light kiss onto your lips.
He watched his fingers disappear and reappear inside of you, entranced by the sight that he was touching and pleasuring you. The blanket had fallen just enough to allow the view to be put on full display, and curse anyone who would try and pull the curtain on the bunk to witness the sight. You had glanced down at the motions, letting your hand fall onto his bicep and digging your nails into the skin. You had found a way to keep your moans of pleasure down to a minimum, by tugging onto your bottom lip hard enough until it nearly hurt.
He slid his fingers from inside of you, taking them to his lips and shoving them into his mouth. He hummed delightfully and came to your lips again. He liked to speak to you that close, as it was teasing a kiss, yet denying you of it, although he wanted to.
"I'll get a better taste of you when we're not in this position." He said, to which you huffed a laugh and reached to peck at his lips. He in turn placed a kiss on your begging lips and looked down at you with a devilish grin.
He began tugging off his briefs while you tugged your shirt over your head and threw it to the end of the bed, capturing his lips by placing your hands on his cheeks. He crawled over you, motioning for you to lay on your back, and he had bumped his head on top of the bunk.
"Fuck," he chuckled, rubbing the top of his head.
"You okay?" You giggled at him, seeing him hunched over you in between your propped up legs.
"Yeah, I'll be okay. Minor bruising, I'm sure." He shrugged, placing a peck on your lips.
The curtain rings that hung onto the rod and encapsulated the sight of you two naked lightly rung with his extra movements, and he silently cursed at the sound, and watched his motions more carefully to decrease the noise.
You watched as he pursed his lips into the palm of his hand and allowed spit to dribble from his mouth and began pumping his length. Your eyes fell to his manhood, widening them at the sight of him. His tip leaked with pearl-white precum, visible enough to you when you squinted. His pink tip teased at your folds, sliding through them before he made contact with your entrance. His hands were propped on either side of your head, leaning into your body and closing the proximity with you as he slid into you.
His head fell onto the side of the pillow as he fully bottomed out, groaning into your ear a slur of a curse. You grabbed at the back of his head and tugged at his hair, mouth opening with a choked gasp. You remembered to keep yourself quiet to the best of your ability, but as he began to start a steady pace inside of you, you had to go back to pressing your mouth tightly shut.
"Fuck, mama," he said with a guttural groan, "think I'm going to have problems keeping quiet with how good you fucking feel."
You tilted your chin up as your eyes closed shut, feeling him with every fiber of your being sliding in and out of you. You clenched around his length, hearing the lightest of whimpers escape his mouth, and kept at your motions. You dug your fingernails into his toned back and allowed them to imprint themselves onto the skin.
"That feel good, Josh?" You lightly teased at him by leaning into his ear and pressing a kiss on the shell of it.
"Yes, just keep fucking doing that - please." He hissed through his gritted teeth.
The only thing you could say was his name, with tears brimming at the corners of your eyes in pleasure. It was exceedingly difficult to keep your moans to a minimum with the way Josh thrusted into you, and you were sure the entire band had heard their fair share of Josh's name by now.
He rocked his hips into you at a faster pace, chasing for his high, and hoping that you were finding yours. You had felt sweat accumulating on your hairline, and you were unsure if it was because of Josh's body heat radiating against you, or because of your intense attention to keeping quiet.
His head moved to be in front of you, and you saw that his jaw had hung open, with his eyes switching between staying shut and staying open halfway. He was so undeniably desirable in this moment, and you swore you've seen him look like this before when performing on stage. But this was because you were making him feel good, and no one else.
"I've wanted this for so long, Josh." You whispered to him through a whimper.
"So have I, mama," he pressed an open-mouthed kiss onto your lips, "been thinking about it for forever. Not letting you go again."
It was a relief to hear him say such a thing, as it made your feelings about him justified. Not only with him being inside of you, but with the fact that he continuously graced your ears with praises and words of affirmation.
You repeated the words in your head: "Not letting you go again." You couldn't comprehend in what way he meant that, but you could only assume that after this, you weren't going back to being friends. There was no way in hell you could forget how he felt inside of you, how he caressed your body, and how sweet he sounded saying your name.
You could feel his thrusts growing sloppy and desperately trying to keep the swift rhythm he had previously set. You forced your legs to wrap around his torso, although the nearly fallen blanket had battled that motion. With him brought in at a new angle, he had his forehead rested onto yours, thrusting himself deeper into you.
He snaked one of his hands through your connected bodies and found your clit, rubbing vigorously to try and meet him at his release. His face was full of anguish as he tried to hold himself back, wanting to savor this moment forever with you. But it was becoming increasingly hard, and he wanted you to reach your high with him.
Your eyebrows were tightly furrowed as your eyes softened, mouth hung without releasing a sound. Yet, you warned him of your release as you felt the pleasure was about to consume your entire body.
"Josh, Josh I'm so close. Just like that," you urged him to continue his circles on your clit, "don't fucking stop." You said in between breaths.
"I'm gonna cum, fuck." He said with his teeth clattered together, forehead digging into yours as his mouth hung open and released the softest of grunts that echoed off your lips. "Come on, mama, cum with me - please."
His words swirled in your head, and the appraisal was nearly too much for you. You were so close to ascending over the edge, with the way he was pumping himself into you, and the harsh circles on your clit. You swore you were piercing his skin too deeply, but you felt as though grasping onto him in such a manner was helping muffling your moans.
Your back arched with your head digging into the pillow beneath you, eyes shutting tightly as your orgasm overtook your body. Your legs shook around Josh's waist in an uncontrollable spasm as you came, surprisingly keeping yourself quiet through it all. You felt Josh twitch inside of you, his thrusts into you staggering as his own release consumed him. He was groaning deeply into your ear, louder than you figured he would, and your eyes widened at the abrupt noise he produced. Although he was stilled inside of you for a moment, he gave himself a few more pumps to fully drain his release and slowing his motions on your clit.
Your chest heaved against his that seemed to match your unsteady breathing, allowing his forehead to connect onto yours and press a harsh kiss on your lips. He removed his fingers from your sensitive bud, resting his hand onto your cheek as his mouth curled into a devilish grin. You brought your hands to his face to remove your death grip on his back, and hopefully alleviate any pain had caused him.
"Sorry if I was gripping too hard on your back." You apologized to him, hoping that no blood was drawn from the imprints of your nails.
"Don't apologize. I liked it, anyways." He pecked your lips. "You okay?"
"Yeah, I'm okay," you said with a vigorous nod, "you?"
"Fantastic. Didn't think our first time would be on a fucking bus." He chuckled, causing you to giggle.
"Nor did I." An unamused voice from above said.
Josh turned his head up to the top of the bunk with wide eyes, whereas shock ran through your entire system. You had slapped a hand over your mouth, looking to Josh with terror. He only looked at you with an astonished, open-mouthed smile, looking back up to the top of the bunk and shaking his head.
"Sorry, Jake." He said lightly.
"I think we all deserve an apology, Josh." Sam said, and that had you throwing your hands in the air before covering your face in sheer embarrassment.
"Is Danny awake, too?" Josh asked.
There was silence for a moment.
"Unfortunately." He squeaked.
The three men chuckled, and Josh slipped from you and found your shorts and underwear for you. As you slipped them on, you scanned the dark area for your shirt, finding it at the edge of the bed, and snatching it to throw over your body.
"Well, then I apologize to everyone who endured any part of that." Josh rolled his eyes as he threw his hand into the air.
"Couldn't have just waited like a normal person for everyone to be off of the bus, or better yet, when we were stopped at a hotel for the night?" Sam said in an aggravated tone.
"In our defense, I thought we were being quiet." Josh said to them.
"That's what you consider quiet? God, Josh, I didn't need to know you call a woman 'mama' when you fuck her." Sam said with a hint of laughter in his voice. "You guys done now or what?"
"Yes, yes we're done! Could've just fucking plugged your ears if you didn't want to hear any of it." Josh rolled his eyes as he slipped his briefs onto his body to the best of his ability.
You were curled up in a ball, with your back turned to the curtain, entire body burning up with utter embarrassment. Josh tucked himself into the blankets and pulled you into his body, moving the strands of hair that rested on your cheek behind your ear in hopes of consoling you.
The conversation of your sexual encounter with Josh seemed to die down, so you finally felt comforted enough to rest your eyes.
Until...
"Josh, just like that!" Sam mocked you, causing the entire bus to abrupt in laughter.
You shook your head and buried your face into the crook of Josh's neck, clinging onto him helplessly.
"Alright Sam, you want me to bring up that time Danny and I walked in on you in your dressing room with your girlfriend?" Josh began to grow agitated with the immature teasing of his younger brother.
"I don't think we need to talk about that." Sam said.
"Glad I didn't have to burn that image from my mind." Jake chuckled.
"Aw man, I just forgot about that!" Danny groaned, which had Josh chuckling lightly.
"Wait, what happened?" You mouthed to Josh.
"I'll tell you the gruesome details another time." He mouthed back, pressing a kiss onto your head.
"So, y/n, I guess you told Josh how you felt then, huh?" Jake said.
"What do you think?" You rolled your eyes with a sigh.
"She speaks!" Jake gasped, causing Danny and Sam to chuckle at his snide comment. Your face was entirely red, fuming with utter mortification that they heard everything that happened between you and Josh, which was supposed to be a private, intimate moment.
"Alright, enough talking about it now. I'm fucking exhausted." Josh tried to shush them.
"Oh, I'm sure you are, Josh. How do you think we feel?" Danny said, pushing the conversation just a tad further.
"I know where you sleep, you know! Go the fuck to bed, shitheads." Josh said with a light chuckle. That had seemed to shut the band up and allow you a bit of peace before the morning came.
He tilted his chin down and looked to you. "Are you okay?" He said merely below a whisper.
You nodded at him. "I will be." He pecked your lips after your response, grateful that you weren't as upset as you appeared to be.
A grin curled his lips, and you had light confusion plastered on your face. "What?" You asked him.
"How long have you wanted to tell me how you felt? Seems as though Jake knew all along." He said to you.
"Well, I've always wanted to say something, but there's just always been those doubts about how you felt, and also never the right timing. I knew if I waited longer to speak up, I wouldn't have said anything to you, and I would've had to watch you leave again. Jake and I had a talk about it before this happened." You told him.
"I'm glad he convinced you to say something. I've been a bit nervous myself telling you, but something told me that I shouldn't be, and that it was the right time to finally fess up." He said to you.
You pressed a kiss onto his lips, soft and sweet, and pulled away from his lips with a smile plastered on your face. You couldn't stop smiling, as there was no reason not to. You had waited so long for Josh to finally secure his feelings for you, and now that you had it, you felt grateful for the way things had turned out.
"Probably best if we don't have any more bus sex." He chuckled, to which you matched.
"Private settings from now on." You said to him with a stern glare. "This is never happening again."
"Oh, I promise you my dear, that wherever we have sex at again, you'll be able to show me how loud you truly can be."

Voyeur
Word count: 3.5k+
Pairing: Jake Kiszka x Female Reader
Warnings: Drinking, Language, Smut, Fluff.
Summary: A new side of Jake comes to life within the walls of your new home. But you may not be the only one who notices.
You hit send, sending the request off to the lab. Releasing a deep sigh from your chest, you push back from your desk and stretch your legs feeling the joints ache for a new position. Your whole body is tired, it's been a long 12 hours. Your phone begins to buzz in your pocket as it vibrates with a text message. A small smile crosses your face when you see Jake’s initials flash across the screen.
JK: Baby, when will you be home?
Glancing at the clock you check the time. 4:05. You flip through the charts you still have to finish and bite your cheek, knowing it's going to be a while. You text him back with the bad news.
You: It’s not looking like any time soon. I still have about 5 charts left to do.
JK: Hmmm, that’s not gonna work.
You: I’m sorry?
JK: I need you to come home, I am dying.
You: Dying?
JK: I need you.
You: Oh
JK: Baby
You: Why don’t you…
JK: No
You: Jake…
JK: Maybe
You: I will try my best to get these done quickly.
JK: Okay
Placing your phone back in your pocket you get started on the first of many charts. Furiously typing and putting in the values, you feel your phone vibrate in your pocket again.
JK: *Image*
Opening the photo you see a barely clothed Jake laying in your bed, just waiting.
You: Tempting as always Jacob, but the more you text me the longer it's going to take. Shoot, I may have to spend the night in the on-call room if it gets too late…
You enjoy teasing him. You know full well that is not your intention.
JK: No. Please come home tonight
You: Love you, see you later.
JK: Love you
JAKE POV
With a huff you put your phone down on the bed. Getting up, you decide to go unpack a few boxes while you wait. You had just bought this big beautiful house together, and you had both been living out of boxes for the past few weeks. You being gone and her working, neither of you really had much time to unpack and get settled.
This was her last shift this week, and the first time you would both be home for a weekend in what felt like months. It would definitely be the first night you had spent with her this week, only seeing her during the day, and you were desperate for her. You needed her. Feeling your blood rushing to your dick you quickly push the thought of her from your mind, before you have to take care of it yourself.
No. Wait for her.
You maneuver your way through the maze of cardboard moving boxes, making your way to the front living room. The sun was starting to set, casting an orange glow onto the dark, charcoal walls. Surveying the amount of boxes left to unpack, you sigh. This is going to take a while.
You had no problem getting your music loft set up, but the living room, and even worse the kitchen… seemed daunting. Grabbing one of the boxes near the door, you drag it across the floor and over to the couch. You sit down, and grab your knife out of your pocket, slicing the tape on top.
As you open it up and peer inside you see your record collection, sitting and waiting to be placed in its new home. You spend the next thirty minutes, alphabetizing and placing the collection on the built-in shelves. One of the things you loved about this home was the unlimited amount of places to store things. It is old, one of the oldest in Nashville. That was part of its charm. When you came to look at the house it spoke to you instantly. It had stories in its walls begging to be told. Within five minutes you knew it was the one and when she told you how much she loved it, you had no choice but to put in an offer on it immediately. Two long days were spent waiting to hear if your offer was accepted, and finally it was. It was yours. Both of yours.
Once all of your records sat happily on the shelves, you moved on to the next box which was full of books, awaiting their similar fate. You began the process of unpacking them, and organizing them on the shelf.
You had only unpacked two boxes but it felt like 40, with all of the back and forth trips between the shelves and the box. Sitting down on the leather chair in the corner, you cross your leg over your knee and pull out your phone to see if she had texted you, but you were met with nothing. A groan leaves your chest at the uncertainty of knowing when she would be home. You’ve never felt this desperate and pathetic in your entire life.
Standing up, you break down the two boxes, and make your way to the trash can outside to put them into the recycling bin. On your walk back inside you see your neighbors in the front yard, and you wave to them with a quick smile. You make a mental note to go over and introduce yourself now that you were home to do so.
The sun is setting rapidly, the house growing dark. The dark paint on the walls further darkened each room. It was moody, and gothic. Everything you ever wanted in a home. A place that was truly yours.
You step into your front door, and turn on the small lamp that sits at the entryway. You make your way through the first level of the house turning on various lamps, so that when she does get home, she doesnt stumble over all of the boxes and clutter. You walk back to the book shelf in the living room, grabbing a book that caught your eye earlier. You had bought it to read on tour, but it was always so loud on the bus, you never got a chance. You head up the stairs into the loft, and position yourself on the plush leather couch, finding a comfortable position. But as soon as you crack the book open you realize the readers you so desperately need are downstairs in your bedroom.
With a grumble you stand up with your book, making your way back down the stairs. Stepping into your bedroom you see them sitting on the dresser, and you put them on, flopping yourself down onto the fluffy white sheets. The soft orange glow of the streetlight pours in through your large bedroom window. But the light is not enough for you to legibly make out the letters on the pages. You reach over and turn on your lamp, letting it turn the room a soft amber. Opening the first page you are instantly sucked in, and find the time passing quickly.
Six chapters in you feel your phone buzz on the bed. When you see her name flash across the screen you quickly open it. ‘Be home soon’. Eliciting an audible “Finally.” from your lips.
You get up and walk to the bathroom, turning on the shower to let it get hot. Steam begins to fill the small master bathroom as you strip down. You grab a towel from the linen closet and then step into the scalding hot water. Letting the water run down your back you wet your hair before lathering in the fancy shampoo she insists you start using, which you will admit smells pretty good.
You scrub your body with her favorite body wash, hoping to entice her further. Trying to keep it short you rinse yourself and turn off the water. Wrapping yourself in the clean towel.
You step out of the bathroom and into the bedroom, looking outside the large picture window that sits directly behind your bed. Yet another thing you loved about this house was the grand windows. More than double the size of an average window, it filled the rooms with plenty of natural light. You insisted that you not cover the windows with any blinds or curtains, letting as much light flow into the house as possible. You lived on a quiet street, so you never really thought about what people might see in the dark of the night, but if you were being completely honest, it didn't matter to you if they did.
You stand in front of the floor length mirror and as you button the few buttons on your shirt. You hear her car pull into the driveway and you can't help the smile that crosses your face. Running your fingers through your damp hair, you hang your towel on the back of the bathroom door, and make your way into the kitchen, to uncork a bottle of wine.
HER POV
Placing your key in the front door, you peer into the glass and see the glow of lamp light scattered throughout the house. You twist the key in the lock and push the door open. It’s quiet other than the sound of a record spinning on the turntable in the living room. The soft crackle of the vinyl is homey, and always reminds you of Jake. You can smell his body wash in the air, and you know he must have just showered.
“Jake?” you call out for him.
“In the kitchen my love.” he replies, and you hear the clinking together of glass stemware.
He always knows what I need…
Your legs carry you into the kitchen, your body naturally gravitating towards him.
You see him standing at the kitchen counter, graciously pouring the dark red wine into the glasses, before placing the bottle onto the wooden countertop.
He grabs a glass and extends it out to you, as his eyes meet yours, “My love?”
You accept the glass and sip it slowly, tasting the selection of the evening.
“Hi baby, you smell good.” you say, taking another small sip. “This is good, is this one of the bottles from Italy?”
“It is, I figured we could enjoy it together. I loved it when I had it then, and knew I had to bring some home to you.” he replies, picking up the bottle to hand it to you.
You inspect the label, in all Italian of course, running your fingers over the embossed paper.
“You have good taste Mr. Kiszka.” you say, setting down the bottle. His hand finds your waist and circle around you, lacing his fingers together to hold you close to him.
“I like to think so…” he says, craning his face dangerously close to yours.
“You want to tell me why you needed me so badly today?” you ask, a whisper against his lips.
He lets out a small laugh, a smile playing upon his lips, “Well, I haven’t gotten to see you all week. I missed you. I am missing you. I need you. I can’t live without you a second longer.” he says, his words sending goosebumps across your skin.
His lips press to yours, the taste of the wine still lingering on his tongue. You can feel the urgency in his kiss and you know deep down you want him just as badly as he wants you.
You pull away, “Jake…I missed you too.” you whisper, returning your lips back to his. You can feel the transfer of energy between the two of you, both of you craving more of each other. His hands start to move, finding their way under your top, ridding your body of the pale blue fabric.
Your hands reach into the unbuttoned section of his shirt, the way you like it, placing your hands on his chest. You slide them upward to tangle into the bottom of his still damp hair. The smell of him wafting into your nose is an intoxicating high.
A growl leaves his throat as he parts his lips from yours. He takes you by the hand and leads you to the bedroom. You walk over to the bed and sit on the edge, letting the fluffy white sheets entice you. You lay back letting them puff up around your arms and you release a deep sigh. When Jake returns to you, he is sans shirt, leaving his silver necklace as the only adornment to his body perfect body.
He crawls over top of you, hovering his face above yours. His necklace swings between the two of you, a shiny reminder of you he wears daily.
“Why don’t you show me what you wanted me to come home for today.” you say playfully.
“It would be my pleasure darling.” he says, pulling the cups of your bra down leaving your bare chest exposed to the cool air of the room. Your nipples harden in response. He rubs his thumb over the taught buds, the look of lust in his eyes drowning out the brown irises.
“Jake….touch me.” you beg.
At your command his lips attach to your chest as his hands work to rid you of your pants. He works them down your legs as you kick them off onto the floor. You reach between you to grab his hardened dick through the cotton of his boxers. He groans as you wrap your hand around him and stroke him through the fabric.
He pulls away from you long enough to take his boxers off, letting his dick spring free. You sit up off the bed and remove your bra, tossing it to the floor. You stand up and spin him around, having him sit on the edge of the bed. You make your way to your knees below him as your hand finds his base and gently begins to tug upward on his throbbing length.
He watches down on you as you take him in your mouth. He throws his head back at the sensation and you look up to see his adam's apple bobbing in his throat. He groans loudly and you feel the wetness pooling at your core.
You’ve seen this look on his face before. In fact a lot of people have. It’s the same look as when he hits a note perfectly at the end of a solo. It's his look of euphoria.
You wrap your lips firmly around his cock and you begin to work him, showing him just how much you missed him. When you flick your eyes up to his however, he isn’t looking at you. He is looking at himself.
The floor length mirror is situated against the corner of the wall facing the bed. He has the best view in the house of what is transpiring. You feel his cock twitch as he watches himself receive what he has been dying for all day. You know he likes to watch himself on stage but this is what really gets him off. Twisting your wrist with each flick of your tongue you feel him start to twitch in the back of your throat.
He moans loudly as you pick up the pace, swirling your tongue around his sensitive tip. His breathing starts to become erratic as he nears his finish.
“Baby, I’m gonna cum. Let me cum on your tits.” he begs.
You nod your head as he forces himself further down your throat and you feel the familiar twitching as he pulls himself from your mouth, grasping his own length and stroking himself rapidly as he watches himself in the mirror. His breathing is quick and ragged and a drawn out curse falls from his lips as his release shoots out, painting your chest in hot white ropes. His eyes never leaving the vision of the two of you in the mirror. He throws his head back again in a similar fashion as he struggles to catch his breath. Chest heaving with each breath, sweat running down his neck.
When his gaze finally returns to you he watches as you collect his cum with your fingers, licking them clean.
“Jesus Christ that was hot.” he says, taking your hand and helping you stand. He pulls you by the hand to fall on top of him, as he rolls you to be underneath him. The flicker of desire in his eyes growing to constant glow.
He slides down your body, grabbing the hem of your panties in his fingers and sling them off your legs. His fingers slide through your slit, collecting your wetness before he brings them to his mouth.
A groan leaves his chest as he tastes you. “It has been too long. I need you.” he begs, pressing wet kisses to your stomach.
“So have me.” you reply.
You grab his length and align him with your center, as you feel his tip press against your core.
Lights flash into the room as a car turns the corner of your street.
“Wait Jake, the window.” you say.
“What about it?” he asks, pressing into you.
You moan as he fills you completely, and through strangled breaths you reply, “The window, someone will see us.”
He looks down at you, and smiles, “I know. Let em’ watch. Watch me claim whats mine.” he says, fucking into you hard enough to ellicit a scream from your chest.
His necklace swings like a pendulum quickly between your bodies as his pace quickens. The tips of his hair are damp with sweat as they brush over his shoulders. You whine beneath him as he hits your g spot with ease.
“Feel good baby? You like it when I fuck you so everyone can see?” he asks.
You moan at the thought of it. Something you never considered. With how much he likes to watch himself, you never thought about him getting off to others watching. Maybe that is part of why he looks so good on stage. He is enjoying other people watching him experience pleasure. A surge of wetness pools between your legs as he pulls out and flips you to your stomach. You push yourself up onto all fours as he smacks your ass.
“Turn around baby, look at yourself in the mirror.” he demands.
You spin around to face the mirror, shuddering at the vision of yourself in the compromising position.
“Don’t look away, you’re fuckin gorgeous. I can’t take my eyes off of you.” he says.
He finds his place behind you, and slowly pushes into you, his hip bones pressing deeply into your ass. He groans as you squeeze your walls around him.
“Fuck, do that again.” he asks, and so you squeeze around him as you meet his eyes in the mirror.
“Exactly, baby. Watch me fuck you. Look at how good you make me feel. I’m yours. You fuckin own me.” he says, returning to his regular pace behind you as his hair bobs around his shoulders with each thrust.
As you watch him you start to understand why he likes it. It is kind of hot to watch. It feels almost wrong. A set of headlights flash across the mirror as you see a car pass the window through the reflection in the mirror.
As it passes you feel Jake’s dick twitch inside of you. You understand now why he was so adamant about the placement of the mirror when you set up the bedroom. This is what he wanted. He wanted to be able to watch himself, and watch the window. He wanted to see if anyone was watching him. He wanted to see everything, from all angles.
“You like that Jakey? You like the idea of people watching you fuck?” you ask, panting through each word.
“Fuck yeah I do. Want everyone to see what’s mine. You’re fuckin mine.” he says, punctuating each sentence with a forward thrust.
You know any passerby is in for the show of their lives, especially since the room is lit by the small lamp on his bedside table. Giving all the meaning to the words ‘picture window’. And what a pretty picture it would be. Thankfully it is late, but East Nashville doesn’t sleep, so the chance is never zero.
As he hits that spot inside, you moan his name. With a few more thrusts he is getting close, you can tell by the movement of his hips. You can feel your walls contracting around him in return.
“Cum for me angel, let everyone see how pretty you are when you cum for me. Show them who you belong to.” he says.
You toss your head back as your release washes over you, leaving you shaking beneath him. His name pouring from your lips like the sweet Italian wine.
With one more thrust he is releasing into you, with forceful grunts. “Fuck….” he breathes out.
He pulls out of you, watching his release drip down your leg. “So fucking perfect. I love you so much.”
You stand and make your way to the bathroom as you tell him you love him too.
You clean yourself up and return to him, laying there still breathing heavily. The glint of the silver metal around his neck reflects on his chest with the rise and fall of each breath. You cuddle up next to him as he turns off his lamp and releases a relaxed sigh. As you both lay there in the darkness you whisper, “Jake?”
“Yeah baby…” he replies.
“I love where you put the mirror.” you say.
You can hear the smile in his voice, “Me too, baby. Me too.”

[INTERVIEW] Fan Chant: Wonho Is Teasing New Music Ahead of His Post-Military Return to the US
The vocalist teases some of the details of his upcoming visit to the US
Wonho is back. After completing his time in the South Korean military in September, the soloist hit the ground running, immediately reconnecting with his fans in Seoul. But he’s returned in an even bigger way now, already releasing a new English-language song, “What Would You Do,” and prepping for almost a full month in the US throughout December.
The time in America will mark his first-ever series of stateside fan meets, where audiences will have the chance to connect with the artist in a more laid-back setting than concerts always allow. Then, he’ll make his Jingle Ball debut.
While the vocalist is very much on record when it comes to his love of being in the gym (he did immediately mention that he’d been working out the day of our chat), his demeanor is undeniably sweet. Watch the music video for “What Would You Do” below, and read on for my check-in with Wonho.
How’s your day been today? I know it’s night where you are.
It’s good! I worked out, and worked out, and worked out.
That sounds like a great day for you. I wanted to talk about “What Would You Do” and start by asking what made you want to go the pop-R&B route.
For this song, I really wanted to focus on my voice, rather than the dance and performance. I wanted to show a more mature side.
What was the studio process like then?
I was really focused on the pronunciation. I did a lot of different takes; it was a long recording, but I had fun with it.
Well, it turned out great. You’re going to be coming here to the US and spending some time doing a fan meet. What can fans expect?
Since I’m releasing a single, I’ll be able to show my fans a performance for the new song. The performance will also have different challenge videos with different sides. We’re working on those.
It’s been a while since you were in the US, right?
Yes, it’s been about five years. Being in the US is always very exciting.
You’re also going to be doing Jingle Ball while you’re in the US, which I think you’ll really enjoy. How were you approaching your plan for that performance?
It’s my first US solo stage. I’m so nervous and worried, since I have to perform and sing well, but I’m also looking forward to it. Are you coming to Jingle Ball?
I’m not! But I’ll be cheering you on from afar. I live in a city called Nashville, and no Jingle Ball here this year.
I’ve never been to Nashville, but I want to go.
We can get you a cowboy hat.
Yeah! (lasso movement) I’ve heard a lot about Nashville. I’ve seen it in movies.
What are you most looking forward to with everything you have coming up?
Well, this is my first trip to the US as a soloist. It’ll be new for me, but I’m really just thinking about doing my best for the fans with the performance. I really want it to be a happy time; I’ll be there for almost a month.
Of course plans can still change, but I’m hoping for a new album to come out after my trip to the US. I’m working really hard on it. I’d try to go back to the US after that releases, but in the meantime, I want to spend this winter with the fans. I hope we have a great time when I’m there.
