i think i officially set my sights on a therapist and i'll be contacting her very soon?? therapy was legitimately not on my 2024 bingo card (or in the cards for me at all) but here we are????
#this blog always had a focus on social science and detangling feelings and experiences. like it's basically been serving as my diary#bc this blog has always been my main outlet for it. i hate talking feelings to anyone irl. it's a bad habit but i hate it#so it was a game changer and helped me grow up sooo much. esp supplemented w other people's experiences.#being raised by a stoic engineer mother who's very much warm but also not very good at feelings at times has caused me to suppress SO much#compounded w being the eldest daughter. like that is a damning sentence in and of itself#tumblr just gave me an outlet for stuff like this. and every social media is essentially a highlight reel of ppl's best moments.#tumblr is the opposite. i've always loved that too whether it was in the form of humor or more earnest posts#could i work through my own issues by myself? yes probably#and my blog will always have that facet even if i get a therapist#but a therapist's input. just a professional's input. will expedite a lot of improvement for me i think#this has been a critical time period for me anyway bc i'm budgeting my whole schedule for once vs being handheld by uni deadlines#and it's just gonna keep getting more and more intense from here bc i'm truly pushing my comfort zone more than ever before#it just feels like the right call even tho i'm lowkey nervous ab it bc i HATE talking feelings in person.#this therapist will not fall for my trying to deflect by asking her about her life. which. usually works on my friends <3#we will see. a therapy arc is coming very soon basically#p

The pushback to the term "cultural Christianity" from atheists is real odd to me because, as someone who has been an atheist since 13, only ever went to church a handful of times never with my own family (made a note never to sleep over at that friends house on a Saturday again bc I HATED church it smelled like shit, was boring, pews are uncomfortable as fuck, and the religious people I knew were all wildly misogynistic and I've never been here for being told I was less of a person for being Born Like This), and generally had no actual connection to Christianity in a meaningful way but still only knows Christian mythology, has been steeped in Christian values I had to untangle, and my religious understandings are still deeply Christian.
Like Ive never paid attention to the bible, church, Jesus, Christian teachings, or whatever but if you asked me about any religion the one I'll reliably know the most about is Christianity. I don't know why atheists are offended by being called culturally Christian because they have bad blood with the religion because like sorry bruh that doesn't mean you're less indoctrinated by Christian values if the culture you grew up in is predominantly Christian. In fact I'd say that religion being this ubiquitous in the culture regardless of anyone's consent to exactly ONE religion being shoved down our throats is reason to team up with other religious folks who ALSO don't like being constantly evangelized to by the culture at large, not a reason to throw a fit because you don't like being tied to a religion that is so ingrained into the culture that shit like "oh my god" and "Jesus Christ" are common expressions of surprise regardless of how atheist you are. Like surely I'm not the only atheist to notice the shocking amount of cultural religious shit that works it's way into my life and speech despite having not set foot in a church since I was like 10, and I can't remember the last time I was in one before that.
Idk man cultural Christianity seems like a pretty damn useful term to describe my relationship with a religion I never fully bought into and then actively rejected as a child yet still hold weird connections to and knowledge of just because Christianity is so baked into the culture I grew up in like it or not. If you want to be mad, be mad at the Christians who stole your freedom from religion from you, not usually religious minorities who discuss cultural Christianity and how it damages them too.
#winters ramblings#like breh i HATE how much christian bullshit ive had to detangle from my life. like the idea of sin and punishment for example#id say a LOOOOOT of discussion regardless of religion leans towards a Christian understanding of the pridon system#prison is basically a recreation of hell on earth where youre supposed to go to burn off your sins in your 10x10 cell#now i gotta say not all Christians buy inti the styke of punishment and sin i know normal well adjusted Christians#but for the most part a HUGE portion of shit comes with a helping of cultural Christianity. but prison is probably the best example#hell any discussion of punishment relies on a distinctly christian flavor of 'atone for your sin or be doomed forever"#repubs bitch about so called cancel culture but thats just how Christians act towards sin lmao they do it too#except they choose shit you didnt ACTIVITY make a choice about like being gay to condem you to hell.#cant be mad that twitter cancels people for small shit like a crap joke if you actively subscribe to the same belief system#and are only mad bc that logic is applied to YOU now. anyway i could do without this logic in activist spaces#or ANY spaces being doomed forever over sin is only one way to do Christianity. like damn can the ones who like#rehabilitation and justice and helping the poor at least be the ones in charge??#regardless ive never been a Christian and barely have a meaningful connection to the religion. whuch is why i find it rather salient#that i still have this deep connection and knowledge of something i ACTIVELY REJECTED at 13#do you know HOW MUCH i had to have been indoctrinated into this shit with as LITTLE of a connection to organized religion as i do??#the fact i have ANY connection at all is kind if fucked honestly it shows you really REALLY do not get to choose#your religious leanings unless youre actively ANOTHER RELIGION BESIDES CHRISTIAN otherwise tough tiddy#you get to be Christian By Default and i don't like it either. but when i see jewish people talking about it#i know EXACTLY what they mean because i dont like my connection to a religion i never believed in and rejected at 13 either#i don't like that my choice to reject Christianity was stolen from me by such a ubiquitously christian culture#im not mad at jews for pointing this out im mad at christians for stealing my freedom of choice

Baby Hair Moisturizer in Florida - My Mommy Wisdom
What can I use to moisturize my baby's hair?
When it comes toĀ moisturizingĀ your baby's hair, it's important to use gentle and safe products that are specifically designed for babies' delicate skin and hair. Here are some options you can consider:
Tumblr media
Baby Hair Oil:Ā Look for a baby-specific hair oil that is formulated to be gentle on your baby's scalp. These oils often contain natural ingredients like coconut oil, jojoba oil, or almond oil. Remember to use a small amount to avoid making the hair too greasy.
Baby Lotion: Some mild,Ā hypoallergenic baby lotionsĀ can also be used on your baby's hair to provide moisture without causing irritation. Make sure to choose a lotion that is free from harsh chemicals and fragrances.
Baby Shampoo and Conditioner: Opt for baby shampoos and conditioners that are specifically designed to be gentle on your baby's hair and scalp. These products usually have a mild formulation to avoid drying out the hair.
Coconut Oil:Ā Pure, organic coconut oil is a popular choice for moisturizing baby's hair. It's gentle and contains natural moisturizing properties. However, make sure to do a patch test first to ensure your baby doesn't have any adverse reactions.
Always do a patch test before using any new product on your baby's hair or skin to ensure there are no allergic reactions or sensitivities. If your baby has particularly sensitive skin or a history of allergies, it's a good idea to consult with a pediatrician before introducing new products into their routine.
How can I moisturize my baby's scalp?
Moisturizing your baby's scalp is important to prevent dryness, flakiness, and discomfort. Here are some gentle and effective ways to moisturize your baby's scalp:
Baby-Safe Oils:Ā Use a mild, natural oil such as coconut oil, jojoba oil, almond oil, or olive oil. These oils are gentle and can help retain moisture in the scalp. Warm a small amount of oil between your palms and then gently massage it onto your baby's scalp. Be sure to avoid the fontanelles (soft spots on the baby's head) when massaging.
Petroleum Jelly:Ā A small amount of petroleum jelly (such as Vaseline) can be applied to your baby's scalp to provide a protective barrier against dryness. However, be cautious not to use too much, as it can be difficult to wash out.
Baby Lotions: Choose a hypoallergenic and fragrance-free baby lotion that is designed for sensitive skin. Apply a small amount to your baby's scalp and gently massage it in. Make sure the lotion is safe for use on the scalp.
Aloe Vera Gel: Pure aloe vera gel canĀ soothe and moisturizeĀ the scalp. Apply a small amount of aloe vera gel to your baby's scalp and gently massage it in. Ensure that the aloe vera gel is of high quality and doesn't contain any added fragrances or chemicals.
Shea Butter: Shea butter is a natural moisturizer that can be used to gently hydrate the scalp. It's important to use a pure, unrefined shea butter to avoid any added chemicals.
Avoid Harsh Shampoos: Use a gentle, sulfate-free baby shampoo when washing your baby's hair. Harsh shampoos can strip away natural oils and contribute to scalp dryness.
Regular But Gentle Cleansing:Ā While it's important to keep the scalp clean, avoid overwashing your baby's hair, as this can lead to dryness. Aim for gentle and infrequent washing.
Maintain Hydration:Ā Make sure your baby is well-hydrated, as hydration plays a role in skin and scalp health. If your baby is still breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, ensure they are getting enough fluids.
Remember to always be gentle when applying any products to yourĀ baby's scalp, and avoid excessive rubbing or scratching. If you notice persistent dryness, flakiness, or any signs of discomfort, it's a good idea to consult your pediatrician. They can provide personalized recommendations based on your baby's individual needs and any potential skin sensitivities they may have.

hi!! i was wondering if i could request a little scenario/fic with mr crawling and justā€¦ pampering him? cuddles? maybe set after the ending where you take him home :3 i canā€™t explain how but he gives me major cuteness aggressionā€¦
Pampering.
context: post blissful love ending. You take care of him <3
Homicipher. mr crawling x reader. | Anypov. Fluff.
He also gives me cuteness aggression, like sometimes I just wanna squeeze him until he pops. HES SO CUTE!!!!!!! even if I kind of slandered him in this post..
requests r open !! (read rules)
Tumblr media
Few things you noticed about Mr. Crawling..heā€™s all bloody, dirty, and he SMELLS.
You couldnā€™t have him stinking up your house with his nasty odor, and you honestly smelt bad too since you havenā€™t showered..so, whatā€™s better than a self care day? Take care and pamper your ..boyfriend? (I donā€™t think he understands labels..)
It was a little..complicated? first getting him out of his clothes. He was confused as to why you were taking off his clothes.. but I think after you running the bath and getting out of your own clothes he joins you.
He looovveesss the feeling of you washing his hair and massaging his scalp, literally in bliss. Your hands just feel so good! (pause-) Honestly even your hands scrubbing his body feels goodā€”lathering him up with soap and giving him all the attention! Along with some head pats and kisses, of course. You even guide your hands and let him wash your hair and body, even if heā€™s a little clumsy.
After getting out of the bath and drying yourselves off, (he has to stay in his towel because you gotta wash his NASTY ASS clothes), you sit him in front of your vanity and start applying all sorts of face masks and stuff to his face, letting it sit while you brush (detangle..) his hair. Both him and his clothes are all clean! and he just smells and looks so much better. Although you really werenā€™t sure what to do about his eyes (or lack of therefore..), but he didnā€™t seem to want to wear a blind fold like Mr. Silvair..so you just let his hair cover it.
(now heā€™s allowed in your bed because heā€™s not STANK)
And for the best part of self care day, is spending the rest of the night cuddling in bed, your arms wrapped around him as he lays on your chest, your hands patting his head and kissing his face until you fall asleep, watching over you and admiring your sleeping features. His fingers will occasionally brush against your cheek or your collarbone, featherlight, not enough to wake you up. And heā€™ll even take your wrist and make your hand pat him on the head while youā€™re busy sleeping. Heā€™s a little lonely while you sleep, but give him plenty of cuddles in the morning and heā€™ll be okay!!

I think your Kallamar/Saleos paring is the absolute best Kallarmar ship ever.
Also I wonder... Kallamar seems very tactile with Saleos (at least when in private) if he managed to convince Saleos to move in, is he gonna turn full, well, cuddlefish?
Not necessarily in a affectionate manner, I think more possessive in his own way. Literally clinging to one of the few things he has left from his past life.
Imagine Saleos having to physically detangle himself from his former god every morning.

When He Lays Down On Your Boobs : Ģ—Ģ€āž› F1 Reaction
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ā» Max VerstappenĀ
You could tell by the look in Maxā€™s eyes what he wanted when he wanted to lay on your chest, and usually you tried to protest. Slowly Max subtly moves down in the hope that you wonā€™t notice what heā€™s doing, his movements are slow in the hope that you donā€™t notice him. You canā€™t help but laugh at how Max thinks he gets away with laying down on your chest without you even noticing, but you see everything that he does, shaking your head at him as you eventually cave and decide to let him lay where he wants to lay.Ā
Ā» Lando NorrisĀ
Itā€™s usually when he wants you to play with your hair, Lando will lay down between your legs and rest his head against your chest. He purposely messes his hair, inviting you to detangle the curls that fall in front of your face. As happy as he wants to appear with you playing with your hair, you know the real reason for the smile on Landoā€™s face is because of the position of his head. He shuffles and makes sure that heā€™s as comfortable as possible because he plans on staying there for as long as possible, whether youā€™re playing with his hair or not.Ā
Ā» Charles LeClercĀ
Quite often he will just invite himself to lay down on your chest, not caring about what youā€™re doing. If youā€™re playing on your phone, heā€™ll slide in between the gap between you and the device, or if youā€™re reading, heā€™ll pop up underneath your book. Charles likes to consider that spot as his own personal cushion, and once heā€™s there, he doesnā€™t plan on leaving. Your head often shakes in despair but when his bright eyes look up at you, silently pleading with you to let him stay where he is, you find yourself unable to say no, carrying on with whatever you were doing.Ā
Ā» George RussellĀ
When he lays down on your chest is one of the rare occasions when George finds himself feeling pretty smug. The smile on his face is at its biggest when George gets to lay down there, especially when he can feel you staring down at him. You donā€™t even bother arguing with George as he absolutely wonā€™t budge from his comfortable spot. Heā€™d never admit to anyone else that he lays in such a spot, but when the two of you are in the comfort of your own home away from everyone else, itā€™s absolutely Georgeā€™s favourite place to be.Ā
Ā» Oscar PiastriĀ
Itā€™s usually where Oscar likes to lay whenever heā€™s feeling sleepy, when heā€™s done for the day, he loves to throw himself down on top of you and declare your chest as his pillow. Itā€™s hard to push Oscar away when he looks so tired, snuggling down into your chest as if he wants to lay there all night. He knows that when youā€™re feeling sorry for him is when youā€™re most likely to let Oscar get his own way. He knows that as soon as he yawns once heā€™s lying there that heā€™s there for a long time, not that Oscar would ever complain about that.Ā
Ā» Carlos SainzĀ
When youā€™re not paying attention to him, Carlos will lay himself down on your chest just to remind you that heā€™s still there and that heā€™s feeling pretty needy for you. If you start talking to him, heā€™s happy to just lay there for a while, but if you still pay no attention to him then Carlos will start to annoy you a little more to make sure that he gets what he wants. The best bit about laying on your chest is that he can also reach your jawline and pepper several kisses against it, just as an extra reminder that heā€™s there and that he wants you. Ā
Ā» Daniel RicciardoĀ
It used to be something that Daniel would just do in private, that was until Daniel decided to lay down on your chest one day in the garage. You couldnā€™t quite believe what he was doing, but a sudden wave of confidence came over Daniel and he decided that was where he was going to close his eyes. No one dared to say a word, although many people looked across at you both in surprise. You tried to nudge Daniel, but he didnā€™t budge, he was right where he wanted to be, and he didnā€™t care what anyone else had to say about it.Ā
Ā» Lewis HamiltonĀ
Ever the gentleman, Lewis would never rest against your chest, not unless you invite him to lay there first. When he tends to be being pretty hard on himself or struggling to keep himself composed with work or his busy schedule, you let him lay there so that he can tuck himself in underneath your neck, his favourite place to lay, and forget about things for a while. Lewis loves the feeling of your hands running through his hair when he lays there, finding that he manages to fit in perfectly between your boobs, almost as if it was meant to be.Ā

agere sensories - touchies!
Tumblr media
Seeking
Get cuddles! From your friends, caregiver(s), family, stuffed animals, toys! You can wrap yourself in blankets to imitate a hug!
Let your hands explore whenever you travel. Snow, grass, leaves, rain, mud, sand, rocks, maybe dogs you pass by (ask the dog owners first for permission)
Kinetic sand, clay, slime, beads, crinkly plushies, textured books for babies, sensory mats, brushable toys
If you're an older little or even a middle, cooking! especially dough making, but handling food involves a lot of touching
Speaking of, play with your food! Eat with your hands, explore the textures in an approachable way
Toy cars and fidget spinners (anyone remembers these?)! Beyblades! I love when you can feel the spinnies!
Let someone brush you, or get a scalp massager as an alternative! Maybe you brush them, feeling your hands on the hair? Both are good!
Wear thick, warm clothes! Especially since it's already December (!). The heavy blankets and coats always make me feel regressy!
If you're still seeking touchies but not as overwhelming as hugs, hand holding! And its universal, it can be a person, a stuffie, a doll, Or even a hand warmer if you're closeted! something about my hands not being lonely is very comforting
Another subtle touchy are keychains! They don't leave a residue and come in a variety of textures, or can even stimulate other sensories (like holographic for eyes, or be electronic and make sounds for the ears)
Avoidant
Have your baby wipes on you, maybe a hand sanitizer in case a bad touchy appears!
If you're fem leaning, have a small box designated for the jewelry/hair things you're wearing, to have a safe spot to put them in whenever they overwhelm you
Invest in hair detanglers! Bonus points if they're designed for kids! it minimizes the pain of brushing your hair
Make sure your friends and caregiver(s) are aware of your boundaries, and settle on alternatives to display affection. They should want the best for you!
wear something to indicate your limits, ex. "no hugs", "ask before touching", "no touching". It can be a pin, a bracelet, or even a sign on the sunflower lanyard if you have one
be thorough while buying clothes. Sometimes it's one small detail that makes the clothing uncomfortable. Never rush yourself!
As tedious as it is, you may want to consider cutting out clothing tags (i recommend keeping them if they have irregular washing instructions), and tags on your stuffies too!
baby towels, baby blankets! They may be smaller but way less harsher than their adult counterparts
Keep track what textures you like and dislike, with other sensories! It makes looking after yourself easier if you know what to look for
It's okay if something overwhelms you and you retreat. It's your coping mechanism and nobody else's, you get to dictate your tempo
