Best Easy Homemade French Toast

All the batkids are the favorites in their respective teams/friendgroups because they always bring the best snacks.

They either have the most money and can afford good snacks, or they bring something that Alfred has made, and who doesn't love Alfred's cooking? Dick as Robin got the upper hand in so many arguments with the team because he was the one with all the good stuff.

Jason's the only one of the kids who actually knows how to make all of Alfred's best recipes, though, and oh boy does he hold that above everybody's heads. No he's not telling you the secret of the best brownies in the entire world, that's between him, Alfred and god, and Jason has already given the gods his middle finger. And none of his siblings scare him as much as the prospect of Alfred's disappointment.

(Yes, Bruce has also brought Alfred's cooking up to the Watchtower many, many times. It always gives him an upper hand in whatever they are discussing that day, too)

hey i was wondering how mischa from rtc would react to a reader being on their period- tysm!

Mischa... Mischa Mischa Mischa.... he calls you up because he's already on his way over to your place but he missed the sound of your voice too much to wait. Or as he put it, "my heart is a cathedral, your voice is the ringing of the bells, the doves that fly above. each moment I am away from you, it is no longer house of worship because there is no divinity, no angels to deliver salvation, no embrace of heaven's gates."

so he shows up and sees you all snuggled up on the couch in your crusty comfy bed rotting clothes, but the way he looks at you is so sincerely the way someone else would look at the most breathtaking supermodel. he looks at you with that raw ukrainian passion and rushes forward to you. he takes your face so tenderly in his hands presses your foreheads together before he kisses you.

"oh, my beloved, my kokhanyy..." your stomach always does that little twisty flippy thing when he calls you kokhanyy - beloved in ukrainian. he's been using the pet name for as long as you can remember, but it still makes you all flustered. he kisses you some more and notices you don't seem to be quite yourself. he crouches down next to you, holding your hand in both of his, kissing it and holding it to his cheek as he asks what's wrong. you tell him you woke up to your period this morning and all you want to do is curl up in a ball and not move.

"period, period..." he murmurs, trying to remember what the ukrainian translation is. "oh, menstruatsiya!"

"yeah, menstruatsiya." you chuckle.

"oh, my dove..." he says, pulling you close to him. he rests your head on his chest, stroking your hair or caressing your cheek. "it is a most beautiful thing. the blood of your womb gives way to the seeds of new life. It is like a kiss from the stars, it is telling you that you are a strong, fertile tree, bursting with the fruit of life."

you look up at him, smiling softly, touched by his words.

"besides, squeezing lining of organs out of bleeding hole is gangster as SHIT, yo!" he exclaims, jumping up before kissing your hand again.

"I go get you chocolates and medovik." he says as he rushes out, then turns around.

"honey cake. very good, very comforting." he clairifies. you chuckle to yourself as he rushes out to get you some sweets and comfort food. you really don't know what you'd do without him.

if we're gonna talk about Midori going against the themes of anything can we acknowledge how his design contrasting the other floormasters despite him being one is actually kind of a genius move. He already has a sort of funeral theme going on in his floors as seen in the coffin/cremation stint, and dead people/recalling memories of time spent with him as the major gimmicks, but the fact that his suit is so blah- even next to Gashu's tiramisu get up- makes it so clear that he never did let his former position as a candidate go. Despite making a big show of disconnecting himself from humanity the candidates were always going to serve as his connection to it in the fact that he desired companionship at all- them being the only means to it because they were the only ones he believed he could be on equal terms with. And this is very explicit in his relationship with Shin, they literally lived the most mundane kind of life together that either of them could manage and Sou "the shallow everyday life can't compare" Hiyori valued and missed that time so badly he put it all into a little Shin AI on his desktop that he'd then go on to write poetry about in a development log. The role of a floormaster is one that exists in stark contrast to the humans they host, they present themselves as gimmicky dolls that gleefully torture the others, but the humanity within them couldn't be more obvious in how they bleed and long for impossible relationships. Unlike the others Midori was raised from the beginning with a discard for non-Asunaro morals in mind, but fascinatingly enough his appearance is what proves he should be considered as human too. And tbh I think all the redesigns to make him look less boring misses the point of that, creative as they are.
