Lando -  from Soap Prince to lift emperor As we see in last season of clone wars Calrissian family had some fresh name.If nothing else they have the cleanest business at the Galaxy ehhehe. ((At blue base there reads in yellow: Calrissian Fr- and under it reads: So fresh no - )) Well. That would explain why Lando do have much money and why he so carelessly gambles it with Han Solo (well he also cheats there too but xD). He have been born as a heir apparent of a his familys soap and washer empire. And even if he had been caught from cheeting at gambling table he knows that he’ll get out of it (because he have priviledges). And look at him. He knows he’s fabulous and rich. And what Han is? Nobody who quite literally had just walked out from a gutter.

After all Lando later ends up leading the Bespin which is a major producer of Tibanna gas needed in star ships and repulsor lifts. So yeah. Lando became a industrial mogule. He wouldn’t be able to do that just by flying around and playing cards. He is a son of a family of antropeneurs who had probably has a good background in business and understanding of it how the intergalaxtic trade works. A lift emperor if put in modern terms. No surprise the Empire get interested about his ‘little’ business. I would say that getting Lando and his money at side of the Rebellion is a good advantage after losing their main funder: Alderaan and Organa family. Also owning Besbin would bring saves to the  Rebellion aswell. Or at least you would imagine that Lando would sell Tibanna to friends with cheaper price. But who ever knows about Lando …

I dont know if you watch Succession. But Dmitri is Connor Season 1. The Mayor is Connor after deciding to run for president. Kendall might benefit from being stuck in a room with only pneumatic tubes and the spiritual presence of someone a little more put together than him. Gemma and Charlotte are a slightly nicer version of Shiv4Shiv. Oliver West is Logan Roy with a little pizzazz. Philip West is just Trekkie Roman. Emily Besbin is Logan Roy if his kids were cheese robots. I don't know if this works but I'm feeling it.

This goes hand in hand with a tweet I sent last night, and yes, I agree with all of it. Michael is totally kinder Kendall (less rich, addicted, nicer, feels guilty about loss and life). Need some help with the Waystar Roco executives. Frank? Gerri? Karl?

Ralph McQuarrie

Died: 3 March 2012 USA

McQuarrie was an American conceptual designer and illustrator.  HE is best know for his con concept work on the original Star Wars trilogy. He also workd on the film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. 

Why 

I am looking at his work not only because I am a lover of Star Wars but because of his location ideas. His ability to take a description of an area and to be able to turn that into artwork is something that I want to use within my project. The reason I'm looking at Mquarrie is because the film the locations of Star Wars have really helped me sparked ideas for a background. A background similar to one of Star Wars will help because the theme of my project is Droids/robots, so that it self is very similar to the theme of Star Wars. This will also help me when it comes to looking at my consumers audience, as my animation will be similar to the movies then the audience will be very similar. For me to have the right audience  for my animation I can look at what age the Star Wars films are aged for. Then I could look up like the what gender it is aimed for, I will already know their interests. By me doing this it makes my animation will be using a bit of both Magic Bullet theory and The two step theory, as I know my audience but I'm injecting the information into the crowd. For me to do well in this Project I based it around SCFI with a link to Star Wars, there for making my project a lot my personal and self lead.

In response to looking at Mcquarry I animated one of his still pictures. The image is of Besbin Cloud City, I chose to do this image as I remember it from the The Empire Strikes Back so I know how the clouds should move. I also animated the Podcar flying past to give it the Star Wars feel.

When I was making this animation I was really struggling to create clouds that looked similar to the original image. In the end I copied an image if some clouds and cut them and tweaked the colours so it better fit the set time. 

I made multiple animations of this one image, but none of them looked right, This was because the clouds didnt look right when they were moving. So I turned down the opacity on all of the clouds so they became slightly transparent, this made things look a lot better and more realistic. But after watching it again it was still slightly off, so I played around with the depth of the frames. By me adding clouds on multiple different layers both behind and in front of the city gave it that sense of realism.
