“Her eyes?” The babe stares at him, she is all eyes. “I thought they’d be grey.”
“All babe’s eyes are blue to begin,” Davos tuts, “I’d wager these will stay. She has the Baratheon look.”
“Angry?” he says as the child in his arms frowns. It shouldn’t be that she is not yet a day in the world and yet she is already frowning.
“Nay, you know the first Baratheon, Orys?”
“The one with one hand.”
“The very same.” The nurse’s chair creaks. “He had black eyes. As black as the hair on her head. They say the blue eyes of house Baratheon comes right from the first storm kings.”
“What by magic?” he asks. He has seen Berric Dondarrion raised from the dead, seen dragons fly and dragon glass shatter bodies that should have remained in their graves. T’would be stupidity to deny it now. He put his finger into the babes curled palm and is surprised by how quickly she closes her fist around him.
“Of a kind, My Lord, by a woman.”

𝔑𝔢𝔴 𝔞𝔡𝔡𝔢𝔡 𝔪𝔲𝔰𝔢𝔰:
Captain Hallis Mollen: called Hal, is a member of the household guard of Lord Eddard Stark at Winterfell. Hallis is muscular and has a square brown beard. He has a tendency to state the obvious and has a loose tongue. During the battle in the Whispering Wood, Hallis personally commands the guards protecting Catelyn, after asking for the honor. Robb, now King in the North, sends Hallis, twenty guards, and five lordlings to protect Catelyn when she goes south to meet Renly Baratheon and negotiate a possible alliance. At Winterfell, Barbrey Dustin, Lady of Barrowton, tells Theon that should Ned Stark's bones emerge from the Neck, the escorts will be prevented from going north of Barrowton. Carrying the remains of Eddard Stark and aware of the taking of Winterfell, Hallis makes the order to go to Castle Black to Jon Snow. Canon. Song Era.
Queen Jeyne Westerling : is the eldest daughter of Lord Gawen Westerling and Lady Sybell Spicer. Robb Stark, the Young Wolf, agrees to marry a daughter of Lord Walder Frey as part of the alliance between Houses Stark and Frey. Jeyne's father, Lord Gawen Westerling, is captured by Robb's army captures during the battle in the Whispering Wood and held at Seagard. During the westerlands expedition of Robb, now the King in the North, his army storms the Crag, the ancestral keep of House Westerling. Since Robb is wounded by an arrow, Jeyne's mother, Sybell, and uncle, Ser Rolph Spicer, encourage the girl to nurse the Young Wolf. While recuperating at the Crag, Robb receives a message that his younger brothers, Bran and Rickon, have been killed by his former friend, Theon Greyjoy, who captured Winterfell. Jeyne comforts Robb in his grief and they sleep together. To protect her honor he marries her the next day, but the marriage leads directly to the break-up of Robb's alliance with Lord Walder. Canon. Song Era.
Lady Regent Allyria Dayne: Allyria Dayne is a noblewoman of House Dayne, and according to semi-canon sources the younger sibling of Ser Arthur Dayne and Lady Ashara Dayne. She is the aunt of the young Edric Dayne, Lord of Starfall, whose father was her older brother. Having been revived several times by Thoros of Myr, Lord Beric Dondarrion admits that he has forgotten the hair color of the woman he was pledged to marry. With Berric dead, the alliance with House Dondarrion dies with him. Regardless, Allyria offers Princess Arianne safeguard at Starfall as well, backs up a second plan if she wished to Crown Princess Myrcella again. Allyria is under the impression that her sister, Ashara was in love with Ned Stark and thus, has no ill thoughts toward the man or the North. Canon. Song Era.
Lady Myrielle Lannister. Daughter of Genna Lannister, having been born out of wedlock after the death of Genna's husband, she bore the name Lannister instead of Frey. Myrielle often felt neglected by her aunt' paying more attention to Jaime and Cersei than to herself and thus, she was often spending her days with other lesser Houses or her cousin Joy Hill, to the dismay of her mother, as she made friendship with a bastard. She is send reluctantly to King's Landing to become a lady companion of her ocusin when Tommen is crowned King. OC. Song Era.
Lady Mellario of Norvos: Lady Mellario is a noblewoman of the Free City of Norvos, and the estranged wife of Doran Martell, the Prince of Dorne. She had three children by him: Arianne, Quentyn, and Trystane. Mellario was born in Norvos. Accompanied by her guardsman, Areo Hotah, she met Prince Doran Martell when he was visiting the city of her birth. Doran caught her eye during a festival, where the three bells of Norvos were ringing and the bears were dancing.[6] When Doran returned to Dorne, Mellario went with him, escorted by Areo. Hotah Doran and Mellario were betrothed. They would marry not long after, as their first child, Princess Arianne was born in 276 AC. Two more children would follow: Prince Quentyn, born in 281 AC, and Prince Trystane, born in 287 AC. Since divorce in Westeros is uncommon, Mellario eventually returned to Norvos. There's some bitterness about this from Mellario, as Doran was the Prince of Dorne, which enabled his children to stay with him, while she had to leave them behind. Canon. Song Era.
Lord Rennifer Longwaters: Rennifer Longwaters is the chief undergaoler of the dungeons beneath the Red Keep. He is descended from Ser Jon Waters, the bastard son of Princess Elaena Targaryen and Lord Alyn Velaryon. As chief undergaoler, it is his duty to keep the counts of the prisoners in the cells of the Red Keep. Ser Jaime Lannister enquires into Rennifer's role in the escape of his brother, Tyrion Lannister. Rennifer explains how the cells work, and boasts of having royal blood. When Ser Jaime seeks out Ser Ilyn Payne before departing for the riverlands, Rennifer lets Ser Jaime into Ser Ilyn's quarters. Considering the youth of the new Lord of Driftmark, Rennifer disputes that perhaps a relative of age should take place until the boy is of age. Canon. Song Era.

ok so you know how berric dondarrion transferred his flame of life over to catelyn when she died, leading her to become lady stoneheart and beric to *actually* die. meaning that this specific form of the undead are seemingly limited to a single person, and you can’t convert mass amounts to dead to fire zombies somehow. (like how dead bodies can become ice walkers through idk magic?)
what if. and forget about location w me for a minute. and timeline.
what if catelyn could not stay as lady stoneheart for whatever reason, and she chose to transfer that power over to jon. though she never trusted him during life, he is the only one who she KNOWS will fulfill the vow of revenge against anyone who betrayed the starks. no one else knew ned as she did. nobody else knew what robb’s favorite game was. nobody else knew that rickon was a bitey baby and had bitten them all at one point or another before he learned how to talk. nobody else knew that his first word was ‘dog.’ nobody else knew how sansa tilted her head when she braided her hair. or what the mud looked like in on her knees after an afternoon of playing with arya. nobody else knew what the backdrop of the sun looked like against the sky in winterfell, what it was like standing next to ned on one of the parapets while admiring the summer snow. what the bow of ned’s cheek looked when he pulled it taught, smiling at bran climbing below then. nobody else had lost as much. who else had lost their soul, their body, their life, their fucking reason when they died? when they ALL died. over and over and over again. who else had grieved as they both had grieved? and therefore, who else could she trust with justice?
I’m imagining a very visceral image of catelyn handing over a fire crown of life to jon, as a grotesque coronation as jon heads back into the world of the living

@dcviline asked: ❛ we shouldn’t - ah , we shouldn’t be doing this . ❜ (jon)
"Why?   Your   bows   have   been   broken.   With   your   death,   and   betrayal.   I   am   no   one's   woman   but   myself."   She   belongs   to   no   man,   but   her   God.   She   shares   her   fires   and   body   with   who   she   pleases.   And   Jon   Snow   pleases   her,   greatly,   she   sees   so   clear   when   she   looks   at   him.   Unlike   other   visions,   with   him,   they   come   in   bright   colors.   Melisandre   wonders   if   once   he   is   inside   her,   she   will   achieve   the   greater   bliss   and   see   what's   to   come.   She   had   seen   a   crown   on   his   head,   the   battle   ahead   is   one   she   knows   will   be   won,   as   she   sees   flay   men   on   the   snow   and   wolves   at   the   gates   of   Winterfell.   He   will   win.   He   will   prove   himself   and   prophecies   will   finally   come   full   circle.
"It   was   my   fire   that   brought   you   back   to   life.   Berric   Dondarrion   lost   a   part   of   himself   with   each   death   but   you   have   come   back   whole."   And   Melisandre   feels   the   power   now   that   comes   from   him,   as   if   something   had   been   awakened   inside   of   him.   They   had   been   sat   like   this   before,   when   he   was   Lord   Commander   and   refused   her.   He   is   leading   an   army   in   the   morning   and   she   wants   to   have   him   before   dawn,   let   her   fire   guide   him   to   Ramsay   Bolton   and   end   his   terror.   "You   are   a   man   about   to   go   to   war.   Your   wielding   armies   are   enjoying   themselves,   thinking   it   will   be   their   last   night.   But   I   know   it   so,   this   is   not   your   last.   And   I   want   to   be   the   first   to   feel   the   wolf   inside   you,   reawakened."
He   is   warm   too   now.   Her   hands   had   already   removed   his   fur   and   opened   his   vest   to   place   her   hands   under   it,   finding   skin,   the   scars   she   took   take   of   and   a   reminder   he   is   alive.   Her   lips   taunt   his   own,   with   brushes,   and   nibbles.   "You   will   live   past   this   battle   and   at   last   you   are   a   free   man,   to   do   what   you   please,   and   no   one   can   tell   you   no."   She   bites   on   his   earlobe,   she   wants   the   little   beast   side,   she   wants   Jon   Snow   for   what   she   saw   in   her   visions.   "I   speak   of   R'hllor   but   tonight   it   will   be   your   name   in   my   lips   if   you   take   me.   Feel   me,   Jon.   And   see   for   yourself."

"You   don't   need   to   fuss   about   me   all   the   time.   Everyone   does   it."   Look   at   him   as   if   he   is   the   next   Berric   Dondarrion   or   something.   Risen   from   the   dead,   vows   broken,   dead   for   three   days   and   came   back   normal.   As   normal   as   someone   can   be.   He   figure   she   would   not   believe   him   at   first,   but   Sansa   had   insisted   to   see   the   wounds   and   they   were   proof   enough   that   he   had   been   betrayed.   He   thinks   fo   Robb   in   those   moments.   He   should've   been   there   too,   instead   he   is   the   one   who   comes   back.
He   breathes   out,   Ghost   trotting   to   sit   between   brother   and   sister   and   rest   his   head   on   Sansa's   feet,   as   to   bring   comfort.   He   smiles   at   the   direwolf   briefly   before   speaking   again.   "The   priestess'   speaks   of   prophecies   and   fire   Gods   but   all   I   want   to   focus   now   is   in   getting   Winterfell   back   for   you.   It's   your   home."   And   Sansa   needs   her   home   again.   The   news   of   what   he   heard   worries   him   to   no   end.
"They   say   he   has   Rickon,   and   Arya   but   if   the   rumors   are   true,   somehow,   Jeyne   Poole   was   placed   in   her   place."   Sweet   Jeyne   who   followed   Sansa   around   Winterfell   was   now   Ramsay's   bride   and   he   does   not   want   to   think   of   what   happens   inside   that   castle.   But   there   is   a   fire   in   his   eyes   as   he   speaks.   "We   will   get   Winterfell   back.   I   promise   that."
@dcviline ft. sansa liked ❤️‍🩹 this post for a starter after jon is ressurected and planning to take winterfell.

What are your theories about season two? I know we have source material from the books and a lot of people want blood and cheese in the first episode, but honestly I think the showrunners can change or add new scenes, make the characters have more layers, especially Aegon and Helaena. Her dynamic with the children makes the scene more impactful. And I wanted Daeron to have an interaction with his family before the deaths happened.
I'm not sure that they'll do Blood & Cheese right away.
My theory - which doesn't have any backing, just my thoughts - is that Daemon and Rhaenyra will go after Daeron first in Oldtown. I think either they'll send an assassin and or Daemon will go himself to try and kill Daeron. But what they find is a seasoned knight blooded and forged in the Stepstone Wars and Daemon bites off more than he can chew when the master swordsman gives him or their proxy a fight that they can't win.
I suspect that Daemon or their assassin will hurt or kill someone close to Daeron a friend or a girl he loves. And Daeron pursues, returning to King's Landing on his own accord to get revenge on Daemon or Rhaenyra.
Which will be a great irony in the war that had they left Daeron alone than Alicent and Criston would never have sent for him, even at their most dire - cause, I think that Alicent wants one of her children to have a normal and stable life. But now that they upended Daeron's life in Oldtown they awoke the sleeping dragon that will destroy any hope they have of sitting the Iron Throne.
I think Blood & Cheese will be born from their failure to kill Daeron and their understanding that none of Alicent sons are soft targets, so they go after Helaena and the babies instead. I'd say that 2x05 is probably when we'll get "Blood & Cheese" it's be acquit time for Daeron to get to King's Landing and have several interactions with his family and establish his relationship with everyone.
Also, I continuously hear - as does everyone else - that they're gonna be playing up the Aegon/Helaena/Aemond triangle. And five episodes should give it enough time to breath and give characterization to each of them to build up the rivalry between brothers over their sister.
I think 2x01 - 2x05 will be build up and then 2x06 - 2x10 will be the RIverlands Campaign and Rooks Rest. With 2x10 introducing the Dragonseed riders and Alys Rivers.
And I think they'll give Daeron an expanded role and send him into the Riverlands as a Berric Dondarrion type of Outlaw freedom fighter that gives Daemon and the Blackwoods headaches. Because, in the source material, Daeron really doesn't do anything till toward the end of the war. He is Alicent's sworn shield and in charge of King's Landings Defenses. Unless they want to go back to the original version of "Fire & Blood" and give him a storyline based on his canon mutual hatred of Larys Strong and dig deep into that rivalry.
I think 2x01 - 2x05 we'll get Aemond/Helaena/Aegon conflict, a definitive answer to the true nature of Alicent and Criston's relationship, Winterfell, probably the Wall, Sara Snow, and an extended introduction to Daeron and his life in Oldtown.

NEW ADDED MUSES.
ISOLDA ELESHAM. lady isolda from the vale. she is known as the vale's mistress as she had been bethroded 4 times and none had come to fruition. some think she is cursed and others know it's just bad luck. she served lady lysa tully in the vale to house arryn and now is part of sansa stark's ladies when she was in the vale under a disguise.
DYNNA DUNN. dynna of house dunn is known as the wielding of the reach, because infamously, her mother is said to be a wielding of the north who her father took home before the start of the rebellion. dynna has the famous kissed by fire hair and wordships the old gods, as well is fluent in the old tongue of the north. she trains to become nurse during the war.
STEFFAN DONDARRION. lord steffan is the new lord of house dondarrion and berric's younger brother. known as the red knight, because he is known for having cast aside the faith of the seven and follow the red god, r'hllor after pledging his house to king stannis. upon reaching north, steffan is among those who witness jon snow's ressurection. he is, however, always pledged to house baratheon.

GOT S8E3
DD I FORGIVE YOU FOR EVERY SIN YOU’VE EVER COMMITTED HOLY SHIT THAT WAS SO FUCKING AMAZING.  I CRIED, MY MOM CRIED, YOU CRIED, BRAN CRIED HOLY SHIT.
Guys, look, I saw endgame yesterday (no spoilers) and I just want y’all to know that this episode made me completely forget about it.  completely.  on this channel its all thrones all the time, now and always.
I just, I can’t even,  I cannot even.
SO!!! (god, I'm so happy to be excited about game of thrones again)
Ten minutes of building dramatic tension would be a lot, but by god they did it beautifully.  Using sam as the pov for this worked so well, because he's like benchmark normal people reactions for the show.
Melisandre showing up to light up the Dothraki is so good; she and Berric Dondarrion, who I'll talk about later, both fulfilling their purposes to the Lord of Light was the fulfilling end of a narrative arc.  It made me cry.  And god, the cinematic beauty of that wave of firey swords racing across a field toward the dead was......poetic.
And Daenerys abandoning the plan to go and save the remnants of the Dothraki, and Jon following her, was such an echo of Jon’s actions in Battle of the Bastards.  I love cinematic parallels, guys, they are my life’s blood.  The wheel turns.
When the white walkers brought the storm I about flipped my lid, y’all.
All those shots of Grey Worm standing fast against the dead were so true to his character, and so,,,,righteous??? is that the word??? it made me want to pick up a sword and help him is all I m saying.
Melisandre to the rescue again with lighting the trench; she’s super fucking helpful in this episode.
JAMIE AND BRIENNE, SAVING EACH OTHER TIME AND TIME AGAIN. YESSS
*announcer voice* WHO’S READY FOR A DRAGON BOWLLLLLLLLLLLL
(not me I WASN’T READY)
Tyrion attempting to drink himself to death in a crypt because he feels useless while Sansa has a slight fear breakdown and Missandei throws shade for Daenerys was,,,,hilarious.  also I want to know who decided to put everyone in a crypt for the zombie apocalypse.  a crypt, you know, where they bury dead people????? I wasn't expecting that either and it just about killed me like it killed those women and children.
Sansa and Tyrion, having a moment? Courtly love?? yesss, whispers my romantic goblin brain.
I also appreciated the show runners’ commitment to Sandor Clegane’s PTSD with fire.  the man cannot handle his fire, it gave him a panic attack even now, and I really like that.  I also like that he snapped the FUCK OUT OF IT when he saw arya in danger. (note: I don't know if thats how ptsd works, or panic attacks work. probably not.  but u know what idc it gave me character interaction warm fuzzies)
Edd’s death?? Sad but satisfying.
Sam being scared shitless the whole time but still showing up ready to two-fist it with dragon glass was excellent; its consistent with every bit of how he's acted thus far. the first man in a thousand years to kill a white walker makes it to the end.
Lyanna Mormont taking out a giant on her way out was 100%.
I would like to announce that DD giving Bran his one (1) slotted emotion for the rest of the series about Theon fucking Greyjoy was not the move I was expecting, but by god was it incredible to watch.  Even Bran can’t watch this man die for him, kill dozens of zombies to protect him, without crying because soon he’ll be dead. it’s a mark of true redemption for Theon, dying protecting the child who was part of his first, biggest fuckup.
I guess ghost is dead?????? we’ll see.
That bit with Drogon being swarmed by dead was fucking terrifying.  I bout died when they started swarming him.
And then Jorah, Jorah, JORAH.  JORAH RUSHING TO HIS QUEEN’S RESCUE; JORAH NOT COLLAPSING UNTIL HE KNOWS SHE’S SAFE; JORAH MORMONT, GIVEN THE HONORABLE DEATH HE DESERVES, I fucking cried y’all, and so did Daenerys.  That’s the best scene Emilia Clarke has given us for Daenerys in one and a half seasons. (and then drogon curling up around her while she cries, d’awwwwww)
finally.  you know I had to save it for last.
What do we say to the god of death?
oh man, oh MAN, Arya “No One” Stark being so good with her pole arm that even Davos is like “oh shit”; panicking in the face of the dead, which was a series of nice human moments for everyone’s favorite badass; running into the Hound and Berric to save her;
Berric dying, fulfilling his grand purpose, the one the Lord of Light brought him back from the dead for twelve times ( think about that. a great god brought a man back from the dead twelve times so he could save Arya stark. god I'm in love)
Brown eyes.  green eyes.  BLUE EYES.
What do we say to the god of death?  Well, if you’re Arya motherfucking Stark, you don’t say anything to him.  you kill him.
you kill him with the valerian steel dagger your brother gave you, the checkoff’s gun I didn't even think about.
Arya, tears in her eyes, looking at her brother because they won, and she saved them all.  Does this make Arya the prince who was promised?? lets crown her immediately and let her do whatever she wants without consequence.
guyssssssssss I'm going to go watch it again now.  I'll probably cry again too.  I'm real fucking excited to see where they go next for the first time this season.

Berric's Final Words to Arya
In an interview, Richard Dormer said he was supposed to say "Live" as Berric's last word to Arya.
Link here: x
But it was cut. Why?
My analysis:
You know how this season GoT really trying to tell us that Arya is regaining her humanity. Maisie said that Arya is torn in this season. I think, Arya is torn to choose between being a cold-lonely assasin over family and love.
Beric saved Arya's life and told her to live. Not "don't die". Not "survive". Not "are you okay?". Or etc. No. He said "Live". Berric told her to live, to choose what life has to offer. To live a life she wouldn't regret, a life that leads to her happiness. Not surviving a lifeless life as a coldhearted-identityless assasin.
But they cut that scene. MEH. Well, I can't blame them.
Arya was appeared to be sad at the funeral in this episode (8x04) even though she's not crying cause she's supposed to feel nothing. She was seen looking at Beric's body, he died saving her after all. But of course, Arya still need to go to complete her list of killing, before she's done fighting.
Therefore, I think, there will be Hound and Arya conversation about life, maybe at his death bed. It would make a heavier impact on Arya if he is the one who got to say this than if Berric did. If they didn't cut those Beric's last word scene, it would seems like Arya taking Berric's word for granted because now she's choosing death (not planning to comeback to WF because she thinks she won't make it) over life.
So yeah, I hope Arya would successfully regain her humanity. Whether being a lady or not, I hope she'd realize and choose love and family over death.
There's hope for Gendrya, the hope is faint yeah, but I refuse to give up!
What do we say to the god of hopelessness? NOT TODAY.
