In the graphic novel, Charlie spoke to Harry when he tried to join Tara’s birthday party about how his bullying made him hate himself and that he’s glad he realized what he did was wrong but that doesn’t take away what he did to Charlie. In the show, when Harry shows up and asks to join Tara’s party, Charlie just says no and closes the door and it’s Ben that Charlie talks to when he explains that everything he did made him hate himself and he’s not allowed to say he’s a better person and expect Charlie to forgive him. I like this choice to have Charlie just say no to Harry and slam the door yet discuss to Ben fully because Harry was clearly just saying whatever it would take for him to go to the party and he (in the show) didn’t regret anything he did. He just wanted to go to the party. After the things Ben did to Charlie in season one and then the way he meddled in Nick and Charlie’s relationship in season two, it makes sense for Charlie to explain to Ben why it doesn’t matter what revelation he has about who he is, it won’t take away the toxicity he forced Charlie to endure.

2. Imogen definetly deserved so much better

3. Imogen had every right to stand up for her self

This was all no excuse to address someone’s sexuality in a room full of people. Sure imogen didn’t call him gay or something but she knew when she said what she did.

Finished every available Heartstopper volumes and wow. Just. Wow.

I sincerely recommend reading it to EVERYONE. Alice Oseman undeniably became one of my favourite authors (I expected her to be since I read Solitaire but yea) , she’s like SO great and most importantly SO understanding of like every subjects ?? I never saw such good representations than in the books she wrote.

IMPLIED SPOILERS FOR THE WHOLE HEARTSTOPPER COLLECTION + SOLITAIRE !!!

The 4th one is definitely my favourite. The mental health is SO well represented and the feeling that loved ones might experience are just far too well explained and portrait. I’m wondering if I don’t kin Nick at this point LMAO, even if I think I only relate to him still.

Otherwise, I was so sad that we weren’t able to see more of what happened in Solitaire, especially the Ben w Solitaire event. I feel like it would have been very important to put it in the story of Nick and Charlie tbh. But I think it was mostly to keep the book agreeable to read and not too dark yk. Let’s say the depressing stuff belongs to Tori and Solitaire LMAO.

I’m going to read This Winter next and then will probably re-read Solitaire cus we’re in Solitaire time period of the year and it makes me want to see my girl Tori again <3

I think I might start an Osemanverse fixation from now on so keep an eye on my blog if you’re in one too 😻
