Not to be dramatic or anything, but i genuinely think this year has been life changing for me- and I thank the stars it's not in any negative ways- but because I've made genuine, wonderful friends, that are just as bonkers as me :]] /silly /pos

If I hadn't fallen into the dca fandom when I did, i probably wouldn't have found the Malware blog by that random stroke of luck, I wouldn't have latched on and become inevitably infected with the virus, or gotten to know the one behind it, or somehow attracted other blog-goers with my shenanigans and made most of the friends I have now. Everyone say thank you Sun and Moon FNaF /silly

But really, I've gotta thank @bumble-the-sun-bee for being one of my very first friends on Tumblr, and continuing to be one of my very best :]]] im so glad I found you and hope for many more years of shenanigans with ya <3

I have nary liked a Star Trek post

what's especially funny about this is that there's a lot of Star Trek out there. TOS, TNG, Voyager, Discovery, Picard, and more. I haven't watched any of those, I've only watched the animated series Lower Decks. so I only talk and post about Lower Decks. that scene is I think from The Next Generation, so not only is tumblr showing you random Star Trek posts, they're showing you the wrong Star Trek posts considering what you've likely been interacting with

it's very strange indeed. And if if there's only 1 super obscure clue that Gowry adopted the girls, then okay fine I may understand it. But there're several obvious ones.

Polyanna is a summon for O'Neil, and she's called "Adopted daughter".

"Well, I'm the one who found her." He says this after he "fixes" the needle. So fairly early in the quest, he's already established his identity.

"Since Malenia fought Radahn, and the great scarlet flower blossomed in Aeonia, I have dedicated myself to her." He says this after the pc gives Millicent the prosthesis. He is obsessed with Malenia after the bloom. So a romantic relationship that resulted in offspring can't have occurred before that.

Come on. If the girls were from Malenia's union with Gowry, why do they all look like her only? They're not some natural-born quintuplets that's for sure.

There is nothing romantic in his dialogue. He refers to Malenia by name, as Millicent's mother, "precious Empyrean" or "goddess of scarlet rot". He sees her as a god to worship.

And very importantly, why on earth would Malenia *want* rot offsprings? Which part of the game tell us this?

Lastly, a more casual note. While Fromsoft does deal with dark and messed up themes, why would they ship their beloved poster girl with Gowry? Fromsoft *didn't* call Malenia determined in 10 different ways and develop an entire questline to return her sense of self, just to turn around and ship her with someone who goes against her entire existence.

It is strange and I honestly don’t know where it comes from to be honest. Why are people so into the idea of him and her anyway? Or the other creep for that matter. Both of them worship the rot and despite Marais’ devotion to her I honestly doubt she even likes him that much given how unbelievably weird he is about her. She tolerates him because he provides a service, but in her head she’s thinking about beating the shit out of him. When you think about it she didn’t have a very good time coming down south. First dealing with this guy, and then Godrick. She must have the patience of a saint.

But back to Gowry, yeah the whole thing is kind of ridiculous. Like you said why would they even pair her with someone who wants her to bloom and become the very thing she hates? I know these games don’t give us much context at times, but they certainly gave us enough in this case to understand what’s going on. I mean the characters quite literally tell us. I don’t know maybe they mash through the dialogue and then make it all up in their heads to satisfy their own unhinged theories. You know, like they do with everything else in this game.
