Lenny and Spaghetti

How’s it hanging everyone.  Let’s get this weekend started with a story about Lenny and Spaghetti.

As I hope you already know, I am Spaghetti Arms.  I was ‘unluckily’ given this nickname by my brother’s good friend, Patrick.  Some would say that I was all bone, or really tinny, weak, etc. but not Patrick. No, Patrick decides to call me spaghetti arms and trust me when I tell you…all of their friends thought this was the funniest thing and….KABOOM! Just like that, I became Spaghetti Arms.  Don’t get me wrong, it obviously stuck and I am proud of the name now.  

Skip a few years later and guess what…yeah my arms are still the same size.  However this is the year I graduated high school…but my brother was not there.  He was no longer with us.  It was weird not having my brother around.  Well he was barely around anyway, but each time he was meant everything…especially now since he moved to San Diego. 

Time to sped this story up and come to a close.  Lenny lived in San Diego for a little bit and then moved down to Mexico.  Then, moved back to San Diego, and once again back to Mexico.  

Now that we are all caught up, Lenny was gone for 5 years.  In that time, my balls dropped, I experienced the world, I graduated college, and working within the live production world.  

Lenny was living with our other brother, Wayner, at the time.  Man those two were trouble, but very entertaining.  They decided that they wanted to start a podcast.  Both of them fell in love with KFC Radio and wanted to have their own show.  Instead of; KFC, Feitelberg, and SuperProducerBC, It would be; Wayner, Lenny, and Spaghetti.  When I was first pitched this idea, I thought they were nuts.  As time went on, they never gave up on this idea.  We finally decided that we were going to actually start a podcast.  The content recorded in San Diego, and edited and produced in New York.  

Before we were able to start that, our brother Wayner passed away.  Lenny moved back to New York, and it was time to create the podcast in memory of our brother and too keep this dream alive.  We now would like to announce that the Lenny and Spaghetti show is being created and posting new material soon.  

We are still in the works of creating the show, so with that said, we would love content ideas.  Add our Twitters and Insta’s, slide into those DM’s and ladies leave those numbers.  Hit us with question, suggestions, would you rathers, hypotheticals, if you think of it, we can discuss it.  This is brought to you by Spaghetti Arms. A Personal Update

Hello everyone! This is just a quick behind-the-blog update from me.

I’ve been applying to NASA internships for the past three months, and I’m sad to say that I was not chosen for any of them. 

I must admit it broke my heart a little bit to see the positions I applied for fill up with no offer extended to me. I really thought I had a good shot at a few of them this time around. I really thought I had a chance.

I’m writing this because I want everyone to know that is natural to feel frustrated and disappointed, and that whatever setback you may encounter is not the end of the world. Just as there are countless stars in the night sky, there are just as many opportunities still waiting for you to find them.

Yes, my heart is heavy from this, but I know I’ll bounce right back. Rejection is a part of life, after all, and no one ever made it to the stars after giving up because of a few rejections.

I’m going to keep moving forward, with my eyes on the stars, doing what I love to do, and I know I’ll get where I want to be someday.
