ca$h and spider are kind of each other's foils if you think about it...

both ca$h and spider come from households where they're raised by single maternal figures but they're so different in the relationships they have with those figures and how those relationships impact the way they treat the people around them.

ca$h's nan always supports him, even when he gets sent to jail and ultimately believes that he's innocent and a good, kind person who wouldn't hurt a fly, regardless of the trouble he gets in. even the first time we meet her, it's "my grandson's done nothing wrong", even though we know she has no idea if that's true or not, she's willing to lie to the cops and will always give ca$h the benefit of the doubt no matter what.

contrast that with spider's mum, who constantly puts him down and has so much hatred towards him because he wasn't the daughter she wanted and not only genuinely believes that he's a future rapist, but has no qualms about expressing that belief to a teenage girl she's just met casually over lunch.

spider does have moments where he's kind towards the girls, but he also lies about hooking up with quinni (body-shaming her in the process) and uses ableist language towards her when she calls him out on it, he repeatedly bullies amerie, he's transphobic towards darren, he's involved in falsely accusing jojo, a black female teacher, of being a sexual predator to get out of a class he doesn't like, he verbally abuses jojo and gets in her personal space, he victim-blames malakai, not to mention all the t*te-wannabe rhetoric he spouts during his school captain campaign. it's only when people (outside of voss) start to express that they believe in him that he actually starts to realise he's been acting like a dick.

ca$h has so many outside influences and since there's a lot of toxic masculinity in eshay culture as well, he could have very easily fallen down the cumlords pipeline too but he doesn't. his nan is a firm, no-bullshit person but will always stand by him and i think that's reflected in how he treats his friends. i especially liked his dynamic with quinni this season and hope we get to see more.

It will never not be hilarious that the Fool found out that they would be travelling on the Paragon and then proceeded to spend days or maybe even weeks just... Not telling Fitz that she gave the boat his face. All those long, intense conversations in Kelsingra and on Tarman, all those vulnerable moments when he could have just been like oh btw so about the Paragon I did something kinda crazyyy back in the day haha 🤪 but no, nothing, just full on denial until the second Fitz sees his own enormous face glaring back at him and suddenly it's all "I can explain" girlie !!!!!! no one was stopping you from explaining before!!! 😭😭

In regarding to Effie/Hayffie (just briefly mentioned but i will include it) I feel like Katniss being a limited narrator (in the sense that she doesn't take a third party approach, and tells her story from the point of view she held while living its events) is something that's important to take in consideration.

What we do know of book Haymitch and book Effie (more so the latter) is limited to what Katniss sees firsthand.

Solely speaking about Effie, Katniss tells us a few things:

1. she's compassionate towards her and Peeta, and towards other victors too ("Oh, not Cecilia..." and her talking about Chaff)

2. Haymitch has an habit of defending her, and she does the same in the limits of her capacity

3. She is very observant; she sees that Katniss isn't able to sleep and gives her sleeping pills. She cares.

4. She was the one who proposed the tokens for the 75th HG.

Of course we don't get her full point of view or opinion, but that'd because Katniss genuinely didn't know, nor does she know about what happened to her in MJ until Flavius, Venia and Octavia tell her.

There is a lot that's said between the lines, that's easily forgettable but that make up her character and give us more context about what goes on with her.

Again, she's a character that's highly open to interpretation, because we don't know anything about her apart from these little tidbits Katniss shows us, and so it goes with Hayffie, if we want to make a stretch.

We only know that they often bicker, but we also see her defend Haymitch's role as a mentor, ally with him for Katniss and Peeta's sake and, again, we are told Haymitch will defend Effie.

And we are also told, in the end, that Haymitch and Plutarch take great pain to keep her alive.

Can't stress enough that the interpretations are endless, but the idea of Effie being more than a morally grey character (like an antagonist, or worse, a villain) is a stretch, given what we do know about her.

Self Regulation/Aggression/Anger Issues in Autism

I wonder why no one in the main autism community ever talks about this, as it seems to be a major issue for those with maybe severe traits of their autism and/or possibly early diagnosed people with possible speech or language delays. I haven't heard of a high functioning autistic deal or struggle with this, maybe because it's a shame thing for them which i understand and respect.

But that's not really the main point and/or question, but i would appreciate if someone talked about that or gave some guesses as to why. Yeah, i think this is me criticizing them, as i find that the main autism community barely talks about issues like these and/or other issues that aren't like theirs or quirky to take advantage of. I think it's even worse on twitter as everyone knows it's either braindead or toxic to the point of doxxing someone with an slightly controversial opinion.

My main question is why does it seem to be linked to autism? I deal and struggle with these issues seemingly every other day, sometimes even punching myself or hitting something else out of fury just because of a simple thing that didn't go my way, especially while in traffic. I know this isn't just a me issue but also it isn't a majority of people diagnosed with autism issue, but i want to know why.

Perhaps it's the extreme feelings traits that some people with autism have, which i don't exactly think i have as it's not a symptom if i recall correctly. Sometimes, i have extreme feelings and i feel overly disappointed to the point of crying just because someone said i wasn't autistic on Twitter and/or not achieving first place during a for-fun Kahoot game. In traffic, if the stop lights stop us suddenly, sometimes i punch the dashboard out of anger or hit my neck, but i'm sure it doesn't hurt past just like a slap would feel.

Could someone explain this to me like i'm 5? I find it hard to understand things with bigger words for some reason, might be my learning disability or autism once again. I don't know what autism can indirectly cause due to the struggles usually associated with it like social anxiety.
