Hidden Truth Prequel: The Peak of Madness
"When love is drowning you... when waiting becomes unbearable... when inevitably your mind will turn against you... and it will send you to the... PEAK OF MADNESS" back page of the cover book designed and written by @artsofmetamoor
My written work for w.i.t.c.h fans that I still call out there can be found solely upon DeviantArt here:
(I am terribly sorry but due to some very heavy thematic that includes severe mental health and indicators of addictions and suicide I have to censor it but DA is free so you can make accounts just to see it!)
Cover art (reduced quality) by @artsofmetamoor Please go to her for specifications and such)
[Please read]
Soooo here is a small prequel for the story I am working with my dear friend @artsofmetamoor an original conception of hers for the comic series W.I.T.C.H (which is currently under re-construction and re-design). This mini-light novel is a prequel to my friend's story "Hidden Truth" in which Diego (Caleb's adopted brother, an OC) finally sinks into his madness and his loneliness and decides to do the unforgivable; invade Kandrakar and take Caleb as his prisoner!
The story takes place before Issue #21 where Caleb is about to wake up inside the Cosmos of Abeyance and before the final faceoff with Nerissa and it expands up until Issue #23 after Caleb and Cornelia's breakup issue.
Diego is struggling with his own insecurities and he is being driven crazy from worry since he has no news from Caleb. His own boarderline and bipolar tendencies in his thinking patterns are not helping since he either sees things brightly or completely gloomy. Now after days and days the opportunity has arrived; a White Herald of Kandrakar finally brings news. And Diego is not going to leave this opportunity.
The part where Diego is remembering how he "saved Elyon" by talking to her was inspired from the animated series' episode "The Morgriff" where Caleb bows before Elyon, telling her that the Rebels are by her side. This action is done by Diego in our story, somewhere in-between the issues of the first cycle.
I hope you liked this crazy ride! Please visit Arts-Of-Metamoor profile and see her amazing art in regards of this collaboration!
PLEASE DO NOT USE ANY PART OF THIS STORY AS YOUR OWN OR STEAL IT. YOU CAN USE IDEAS OR CREATE FROM HERE ONLY IF YOU HAVE OUR PERMISSION AND MENTION US TO YOUR WORK! THANK YOU VERY MUCH

okay i know we’ve barely scraped the surface on hocky!austin but i have to wonder what kind of player he would be 🥴🥴 im thinking about how he could be incredibly aggressive and how that translates to the bedroom 🥵🥵
kathryn you have peaked every interest that i have at once, and i can never forgive you for it.
hockey!austin would literally be the hottest thing i have ever seen. he comes off the ice after a hard game, his hair dripping with sweat, red cheeks from the hot sweat + cold ice. he's all hyped up after the adrenaline of the game and he just wants someone to take it out on
i could imagine you coming with him to practice, where he just wants to practice his shots alone. and after he skates off the ice, he feels so confident and energized, he takes you back into the locker room and fucks your brains out against the lockers. or in the shower, as the hot water runs over your sweaty bodies.
he would totally be a center i think, which means he would be involved in the faceoffs and focus a lot on scoring.
but just because he's not a big boy doesn't mean he doesn't get into fights. austin is a hothead when it comes to his team + defending his teammates, and he will absolutely go to war for his buddies.
or if one of the opposing team's players flirts with you/catcalls you from the ice, he would beat his ass straight on the ice. i can imagine he'd have a decent amount of penalty minutes just because he has such a big heart that he needs to defend his teammates + you whenever he can
and after a fight during a game, he would be so angry, so pent-up with frustration, that he has to express it some way. and that way is by laying you down in the back of his car in the parking lot and going to town on you making sure that you feel good before he lets you help him orgasm too
hockey + baseball are my other lifelong loves, so this hits the spot. hockey players are objectively hot + are the best at sex because hockey forces the hip flexors to be extra mobile + muscular 👀 just saying
also for those wondering this pic inspired hockey!austin because he's wearing a mighty ducks shirt. the mighty ducks is a disney movie with a kids hockey team + it inspired the real life NHL team the anaheim ducks. my bf plays hockey and hates this movie lmfao

Disney Movies List
Ok first of all I want to make clear that english is not my first language. I therefore apologize in advance for any grammar or spelling mistakes. Please don't be too strict with me =D
I recently bought Disney+ and I plan now to watch and review every movie, Disney has ever produced or participated in it. And I tell you, this will be a hell of a trip, because my list now contains no fewer than 701 movies. That means if I watch at least one movie every day, it will take me about 2 years to see all of them. And since I will most likely not watch a movie every day, I will definitely need at least twice as long....
For the films on my list, which I marked with a cross at the end, it means that I have seen them already. However, since I last saw most of these movies in my childhood or teenage years (so at least 15 years ago), it will be interesting for me to rewatch them after such a long time. I have probably already forgotten most of the plots.
I also plan to watch them in chronological order and rank them. The movies that I don't find on Disney+ I will watch somewhere else.
Here is the list: (The films follow the chronological order in which they were published. However, it is quite possible that I accidentally swapped a few. But I think most of it is accurate).

Right, okay, let’s talk about Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.
Oh boy, do I have a lot to unpack here. And, uh, content warning for discussion of rape and genocide.
Right, let’s start with my thoughts on the first one. Overall, I liked it a whole lot, but mostly I’m astounded that it got the go-ahead in the first place. I mean, a bizarre subversive take on Sleeping Beauty of all things that recasts Disney’s most iconic villain as a sort of anti-hero with a heavy feminist slant that had a blatantly unsubtle rape metaphor as its centerpiece? It should have been a trainwreck! Hell, it almost was a trainwreck, one that threatened to jump the tracks the entire runtime! It shouldn’t have worked, it almost didn’t work...but it still did.
Part of that was just how committed everyone involved was to its own mad premise. Say what you want about the idea, but it was ballsy as hell, and it totally went all in with...everything. I mean, you kind of have to just to make something like this work, as any kind of drawback or halfass would’ve caused the whole thing to come crashing down, so the only chance you’ve got is to point the whole endeavor straight at that brick wall and slam your foot down on the ignition. And it went in deep, recontextualizing King Steffen as a paranoid, manipulative, power-hungry madman; the three fairies as total dolts; Prince Philip, someone who might seem dull in comparison to later princes like Aladdin, Eric, or the Beast, but was still the most proactive prince Disney had at that point, as kind of a duffer whom Maleficent had to literally drag along on his own quest and who was understandably squeamish about kissing an unconscious girl against her will; Daival as a dashing sidekick; and completely flips the Maleficent/Aurora relationship on its head. That’s the sort of thing you see in those What If? fanfics that you tend to obsess over in highschool, and it comes packing all of the raw emotion of one of those fics, and because of that it pulls its own crazy premise off. Yes, it was flawed. Yes, there were things that didn’t work. But they almost don’t matter in light of just how impressive it was that they managed to pull something this audacious off.
And as for the rape metaphor...actually, scratch that. Let’s call a spade a spade, okay? It wasn’t a metaphor, that was straight up a rape. Maybe it wasn’t sexual, but what a lot of people forget is that rape isn’t about sex, it’s about power. It’s about dominating another person to take their power away so that the aggressor can feel powerful, and that’s how it was played, and they committed to showing it in all of its ugliness. I mean, holy shit that takes balls.
But the bulk of the reason why it worked was because of Angelina Jolie.
I mean, what an absolutely mesmerizing performance! The OG Maleficent was so memorable in part because everyone else in that movie kind of...wasn’t, but also because she was super cool and super badass and totally in love with being THAT BITCH! And Angelina Jolie absolutely owns that role.
I mean, she is Maleficent. She just took a DNA test, and I don’t need to tell you what the results are. She embodied all of that iconic character’s regal majesty, menace, cruelty, confidence, and knowing that she was the badass bitch to ever vamp about in a long black gown with a bitching pimp staff just ready to show up uninvited and wreak some unholy vengeance, and then some. There is no longer any need to wonder where your god is, because she is right there, and she is all out of mercy.
But then she goes and gives actual depth to a really awesome but still kind of one note character, from the young innocence before she was betrayed to genuinely bonding with young Aurora to her desperate heartbreak over being unable to break her own curse to actual fear when it seems that the mad king has finally got her to...well, the agony of betrayal when she wakes up and fully realizes what Steffen has done to her. That’s a wide range of emotions to have to portray in a character only known for being smirkingly evil or ragingly evil, but she goes in hard, and basically holds the whole haphazard production together through the sheer gravitational pull of her performance.
So when they announced a sequel, I was intrigued. In fact, I was hoping for another totally insane, probably a bad idea production that just goes HAM on whatever crazy topical stuff it wants to talk about with Angelina Jolie just owning everything she touches.
But what it turned out to be...
Sigh.
Okay.
Let’s do this.
All right, I won’t go into specific plot details until I reach the spoiler cut, because they’re not really important. What I want to get across is the first third of this movie, it really had me. It was good! It had everything I liked about the first one. Different situation, sure, but we had Maleficent being Maleficent and bouncing off other characters, both old and new, and it was good.
Then the second third rolled around, and things started to come apart. I mean, it didn’t totally lose me or anything, there was a lot of good stuff, we learn a lot of cool lore, there’s a kickass Zootopia-type place we visit with a whole bunch of biomes, and I was generally okay with how things were, assuming that they could stick the landing. But the big problem here was that there was a whole lot less of Maleficent. Oh, she was there, sure, but she wasn’t really...doing much, mostly just walking around while some other character explained exposition to her, to which she barely even reacts, so we’re left with Aurora and Philip and Michelle Pfieffer as the new evil queen to do all the heavy lifting. And they do an admirable job of it I suppose (though the lack of romantic chemistry between Aurora and Philip was really noticeable here), but this part was seriously missing Angelina Jolie’s overwhelming presence that the first movie had, so the seams started to show.
And then we get to the third act, and that’s where it all fell apart for me. So, I guess it’s spoiler time.
Long story short, the main plot is that Prince Philip’s mom is evil and is trying to arrange for the total genocide of all of Maleficent’s fairy subjects in the Moors so that the humans can take over. And she does this by first poisoning the king with the same curse Aurora was originally under and blaming it on Maleficent (okay, that works), have Maleficent sniped when she tries to flee with an iron bullet (makes sense), come up with a special iron/magic flower compound that is fatal to fairies (good so far), and luring the Moors inhabitants in with the promise of being wedding guests, locking them in the cathedral, and dousing them with this fairy killing dust. And just in case, she also has the entire castle barricaded and guarded with a whole bunch of fairy killing dust weapons and traps.
You know what? For an evil plot, she really worked out most of the contingencies, and it nearly succeeds, though the question must be asked of why the Moors inhabitants just stroll right in after their guardian just straight up disappears after doing the same thing. But anyway, she gets as far as actually locking up all the fairies and pelting them with the killer dust.
But then the castle is attacked. See, all through the second act, Maleficent is rescued by the rest of her people, the Dark Fae, and it turns out that they’ve slowly been forced by humans to retreat to a single sanctuary, but they’re ready to reclaim their homelands by force, and after seeing her people’s sacred burial grounds defiled and the Dark Fae that saved her assassinated by humans, Maleficent is feeling pretty okay with that. In fact, the warmonger Dark Fae that’s all for violence and who leads the attacks makes a point that Maleficent has powers that not even they possess and could be their secret weapon. I mean, just have her show up and be all Mistress of Evil. Makes sense, right?
Buuuuuuut, then they attack the humans and...just sort of leave her behind? Like, she just stays with the dying dude who sacrificed himself to save her and was the one espousing a peaceful solution, and no one bothers to try to get her to come along despite her having every reason to kick all sorts of ass? Like, they have the forest magic going for them, sure, but she’s packing that green fire of I WIN, YOU LOSE, and they just...don’t take her with them?
Huh?
And as predicted, the humans unleash all their killer dust bombs and killer dust missiles and just massacre the Dark Fae. We see several of them just get slaughtered on screen, and meanwhile we also watch the Moor fairies also getting massacred in what amounts to a fucking GAS CHAMBER, complete with several of them straight up dying on screen, including one of the three fairies! No, I’m being serious, they straight up kill the Blue Fairy!
But then Maleficent shows up fashionably late, green fires all the humans into submission, has her big faceoff with the queen, there’s a bunch of stuff with Aurora and Philip trying to get everyone to stop fighting, there’s a big fakeout GOTCHA with Maleficent dying to save Aurora but coming back because I guess she’s the Phoenix or something, then the queen gets captured and turned into a goat and everyone’s friends now so they all get together and let Aurora and Philip have their wedding because the power of love wins in the end!
...
wat.
Okay, so there is something to be said for the letting peace and understanding win out and refusing to continue the cycle of violence, but, um, wasn’t there, you know, A FUCKING GENOCIDE HAPPENING NOT TOO LONG AGO? And by not too long ago, I mean literally five minutes? We see Dark Fae and Moor fairies dying en mass! And they don’t come back! I mean, there’s a sly hint that the Blue Fairy lives on as a flower or something, but that’s not really elaborated on, and we literally see a whole bunch of people get massacred! But now we’re just going to have a wedding right over everyone’s conveniently bloodless corpses and everyone’s just fine with it? And the evil queen that arranged this whole slaughter gets humorously turned into a goat and everyone laughs at in, including the recovered king (because apparently to break the curse for good all you needed was to destroy the original spindle, so I guess so much for that touching retelling of True Love’s Kiss from the first movie! Totally unnecessary now!) who just says something like, “I’m sure Maleficent will turn her back...assuming we want her to.” And then he just makes a face as if the queen was just a nagging harpy that was hard to put up with and not a literally murderous despot who tried to assassinate you and bring your kingdom to total war by eradicating the neighbors you were trying so hard to work out a peace with!
No. Fuck that, no! That is bullshit! Choose a path and fucking commit! That’s what the first movie did! It decided it was going to sneak a fucking rape scene into a Disney movie that was to be seen by a lot of little girls, and it went all in, up to and including never blaming Maleficent for wanting to take vengeance and putting all of the blame on Steffen, so it worked! If you’re going to stick in a fucking genocide, then you better show the horrific aftereffects of that genocide, not a weaksauce power of love, everyone’s friends now ending! And make the despising of the queen actually mean something, not just a humorous slapstick humiliation!
Fucking hell, what were they thinking?

This Week in Caps: Week 17
Welcome to This Week in Caps, a weekly newsletter where I recap everything important that’s been going on in the world of the Washington Capitals this past week.
This Week’s Games
01/22/19 vs San Jose Sharks, L 6-7 (OT)
The Caps are on a losing streak, the Sharks are on a losing streak. It was shaping up to be a nutso game and by golly it was.
The Caps like to give up early leads, but this time it was especially early. Just 12 seconds into the game, Joe Pavelski swept it in past Braden Holtby, 1-0 Sharks. The Caps didn’t score until halfway through the period, when they were on a power play and Alex Ovechkin cleaned up the rebound by the net to tie the game 1-1. Less than two minutes later, Andre Burakovsky roofed it top corner to give the Caps a 2-1 lead. Then the Sharks tied it up again two minutes later on a Tomas Hertl power play goal. But the Caps took the lead again a minute after that; Ovechkin drove into the zone and passed it to T.J. Oshie, who slipped it around Martin Jones for the 3-2 lead.
The Sharks scored early in the second period; Evander Kane scored at the front of the net to tie the game 3-3. Two minutes later, the Caps got the lead back on an Evgeny Kuznetsov sharp-angle goal. A few minutes later, Ovechkin scored once more from the back of the circles to increase the lead to 5-3. The Sharks inched closer near the end of the period with Logan Couture scoring a breakaway goal just after a Sharks penalty expired.
In the third period, Ovechkin completed the hat trick off a rush play, making it 6-4 Caps. But then Hertl scored another power play goal midway through the period, and Kane scored with less than a second on the clock, and the game was tied 6-6 and required overtime. Hertl scored in overtime to complete his own hat trick and send the Sharks home with an overtime victory.
The Caps were just outshot 43-39 and had the faceoff disadvantage at 46.9%. The Caps went 1/3 on power play chances and the Sharks went 2/6 on theirs. Holtby saved 36/43 shots.
If you’re gonna lose, do it while having fun. It was heartbreaking, sure, but at least there were thirteen goals in this game.
01/23/19 @ Toronto Maple Leafs, L 3-6
No bullshit introduction from me this time, I’m tired of losing. Brooks Orpik was scratched before the game, so both Madison Bowey and Jonas Siegenthaler would be in.
The only action that happened for much of the first was Alex Ovechkin accidentally colliding with T.J. Oshie; they were both fine, though the concussion spotters pulled Ovi from the game for precautionary reasons. He returned just in time for a power play late in the period. The Capitals scored on that power play, with Nicklas Backstrom getting the tip in front. But the Leafs tied it up forty-five seconds later on a Nazem Kadri goal.
Three minutes into the second, Ovechkin ripped home a rocket to send the Capitals up 2-1. That goal would tie him with the great Sergei Federov for most points ever by a Russian player. They kept the lead for much of the period, but lost it about ten minutes later when Nikita Zaitsev scored from the point to tie the game 2-2. And then a few minutes later, the Caps took a penalty, Auston Matthews scored on the power play, and the lead was gone.
Things did not get better in the third period. Kadri scored two more times, securing his hat trick. Matt Niskanen scored from the point with just a few minutes left to make up a little more ground, but it was moot at that point. Mitch Marner scored an empty netter, and the Leafs won, 6-3.
The Caps outshot the Leafs 44-37, but were schooled on faceoffs, winning only 35.6%. Each team went 1/1 on the power play. Braden Holtby saved 31/36 shots.
The Caps looked good during the first half of this game, almost like a functioning hockey team again. But they just couldn’t hang on. They’ve lost seven in a row, and the All-Star break/bye week could not have come at a better time. Everyone will have a chance to get refreshed and then come back stronger in just over a week’s time.
Current record: 27-17-6
What’s Going on in the World of the Caps
All-Star Weekend
This weekend was All-Star Weekend in San Jose, and John Carlson, Braden Holtby, and Todd Reirden were there representing the Capitals. At the Skills Competition, Holtby took part in the Save Streak challenge, and Carlson took part in the hardest shot. Carlson won the Hardest Shot, taking home the winning prize with a 102.8 mph rocket, beating the speed at which Alex Ovechkin won the event last year. In the All-Star game, they helped the Metropolitan division to victory. Holtby tallied the victory in the semi-final against the Atlantic and made numerous great saves. Carlson, on a line with Sebastian Aho and Claude Giroux, tallied one assist on a Giroux goal. The Metro division split the million-dollar prize, and the Caps brought home the victory.
ASG Content: RMNB (1, 2), Media Day, Red Carpet, Red Carpet swag, Sights and Sounds - Skills Competition, Carlson Mic’d: Skills Competition, Carlson wins Hardest Shot (1, 2, 3, 4), Carlson and Holtby ASG Player Announcements, Game highlights (Holtby save on Matthews, Holtby poke check, Holtby save on Kucherov)
The Oshies and Alzners went to Disney World together
The Capitals and their families all went off to different places for their bye week vacations, but the most notable was the Oshies, who reunited with former Capital Karl Alzner and his family and went to Disney World together. (x)
Christian Djoos skates
Christian Djoos continues to make progress. On Tuesday morning, Djoos took to optional skate in the light blue non-contact jersey. Still no timetable for his return. (x)
Upcoming Bye Week
The Capitals still have about half of their bye week; they do not return to play until Friday, February 1. And when that happens, they will not have the services of Alex Ovechkin, who will be suspended a game for skipping the All-Star game.
Other Miscellaneous Happenings
Vrana signs things despite having “yoga”
Kuzy wrestles Jaskin
Oshie was not allowed to watch Beavis and Butthead as a child
Kuzy and Bradley Beal
Player of the Week
The Caps may not have gotten any wins, but they sure did score some goals. Alex Ovechkin led the pack in that category, scoring 4 goals in the two games, including a hat trick. He tallied 5 points total on the week, tied for the team lead.
Social Media Post of the Week
The Caps dispersed for their bye-week vacations, and a number of them went off together (the Connollys, Jakub Vrana, Tom and Taylor, and Andre Burakovsky). Taylor posted a picture of her and Tom, Tom’s brother and his partner, and Andre. We will never know whether it is Taylor or Andre who is the fifth wheel. (x)

Yay I finally finished 2018 inktober! If you want to just scroll through them all please go here, and if you want to see some comments on each please look under the cut.
Day 01 Flowey and Overgrown Ruins This prompt I picked as is because as far as I remember Flowey stayed behind when the monsters left. If you can’t find him, he’s near the big root on the left. All other days the second prompt got randomised by a die (except when I reached the last two).
Day 02 Grillby and Exotic Flora Grillby’s on a journey to look at all the flowers that aren’t living in a wet environment. Maybe he’ll make some wine from the non-poisonous ones.
Day 03 Chara and Cave Entrance They are still curious about morbid things and places that could be portentially dangerous, practically running at danger.
Day 04 Undyne and Astral Plains/Dreamland Welp I’d rather have had her with some other prompt, but now she has an anime showdown/faceoff with a mean monster that harasses a moldsmal.
Day 05 Asgore and Rocky Ruins Asgore had a trip down memory lane and visited the place where their castle used to be, before the war. Not much is left any more.
Day 06 Frisk and Ancient Tree They are still precariously looking for adventure. I saw this article about a 800 year-old Finnish tree, as soon as I saw that top I wanted to climb that, looks like a perfect spot to see everything around you and chill for a bit.
Day 07 Temmie and Nature Untouched I did some research in a nearby forest for this one, the sales-Temmie has made a nest in a tree that has fallen down in a storm. The soil is shallow before solid rock so trees have their roots mostly close to the surface, when they fall the roots go up as well. Temmie on the left is sitting on an ant nest lol. There are seven Temmies in total.
Day 08 Muffet and Crystal Coves Crystal Coves is either a place where crystal business is the main employer, a cove that has crystals, or a cove with crystal clear water, I think. I tried to implement them all just to make sure. Muffet has now made a business in making spider-products with glass expertise.
Day 09 Fuku Fire and Freezing Fjord Finally back to the ‘monsters travelling’ theme, Fuku is taking a longer trip and is currently on a boat by Norway.
Day 10 Gaster Blasters and Townsquare The blasters are on their own for whatever convenient reason, Pap’s one is figuring how things work by destroying them, Sans’ is... playing with local children. :D The fountain is loosely based on Havis Amanda.
Day 11 Nice Cream Guy & Shanty Town He’s travelling the world and selling nice cream! Definitely inspired by Beadle in BotW.
Day 12 Mettaton EX & Cemetery This combination took me a moment, Mettaton is a bit loud and showy for a cemetery. Then I remembered that Napstablook said they’re already dead when you try to kill them, so here Mettaton’s visiting haunted places and telling everyone about this wonderful body he got and where to get one if you’re interested in becoming physical again. I worked in a cemetery for one summer years ago, felt weird pulling those visual memories to this...
Day 13 Toriel & Hall of Deities In order to become a teacher I’d imagine she’d have to brush up her knowledge on lots of things that’ve happened on the surface, and here she’s in a secret underground place with some sacred scriptures or something, she reads them and writes down notes and then returns the scrolls.
Day 14 Annoying Dog & Volcanic Terrain Another weird combination, but eh, it’s the dog. It’s feeding bones to the vulkins and admiring danger up close.
Day 15 Monster Kid & Path Along the Water I made a huge area with different textures so I could try learn something new by scribbling around, and I’m really happy how the boulders on top of the waterfall and the water itself look like.
Day 16 Doggo & Ancient Altar Room Took a moment to come up with an idea, then I read Doggo likes squirrels. So now he’s travelling the world too, and he always has time and seeds for any squirrel population he discovers.
Day 17 Alphys & Summoning Altar I thought I’d not be drawing Mew Mew, but here was a perfect opportunity for that! Alphys isn’t travelling, but discovering new things in her home, humans have such interesting books! All of the Japanese text mean something; the bowl has the kanji for ’love’, books under it are Mew Mew manga, there’s two yury books, a reference to Free!, Digimon, Pokémon, Rose of Versailles, Natsume Book of Friends... and it’s fine if you don’t get the one that says ‘corn’.
Day 18 Photoshop Flowey & Windmills and Grasslands I think the modern wind generators look super cool. I tried to make Flowey as cute as possible so he’d be more fun to draw there, this is some dream stuff or alternate universe since Flowey did stay behind.
Day 19 Papyrus & Desserted Drylands I’m pretty sure that’s an accidental typo, but since it was Papyrus I wanted to roll with the new pun meaning. First thought was Papyrus somehow being in the drylands and dropping a huge cake, thus ’desserting’ it, but that would’ve been a bit mean. This cake is made with 100% organic sand (some of which he ground himself when grooming Rocky), the tiny cow ornaments are modified mouse skeletons. :) The chef hat would be straight but there wasn’t enough room on the page of the notebook I draw these on... I remembered he had a triangle on the battle armor, but didn’t remember what way it points so avoided it by replacing it with a heart. :D
Day 20 Sans & By the Beach Sans is getting some more sand for Papyrus with his shortcut, then he took a nap unfortunately close to the tide..? The shore felt a bit bare so I added some animals to keep him company. I h/c that animals don’t mind having monsters around unlike how they usually try to run away when a human is near.
Day 21 Shyren & Buried Statue(s) She’s doing that Disney princess thing where you sit down and start singing and all small animals within hearing range come to listen.
Day 22 Asriel & Underwater Temple Another dream thing since Flowey stayed behind, this is how he imagines the oceans look like outside.
Day 23 Lesser Dog & Market Place Some people have to learn the hard way to not trust a dog that has opposable thumbs.
Day 24 Box Mettaton & Merchant’s Store Any website run by a popular monster must get an insane amount of curious folk, which leads to ad revenue being a good way to fund the next tour. There’s some.. insider jokes there if you’re in any kind of website business.
Day 25 Rocky the pet rock & Eldritch Forest I don’t actually know what the latter means, looking at Google images it’s probably just a forest that’s very dark or something. Wanted to try a different perspective for a change. Rocky has a bowl of food there but I can’t really think of any non-sad reason for why it’s in this forest.
Day 26 Froggit & Inn in th Middle of Nowhere Had to take a break for one day, regardless I’m proud of myself on being consistent this far despite everything going on. I first only had the top Froggit and the bg in the sketch, and didn’t like how it looked. Somehow adding more Froggits made it look a lot better to me...
Day 27 Burgerpants & By the Docs Birsd with human arms and birds sitting like humans will never not be hilarious to me.
Day 28 Bratty and Catty & Deep in the Woods Tried to play with perspective with this one, it’s kind of the opposite of the Rocky drawing.
Day 29 God of Hyperdeath & Idle Portal I had a hard time coming up with anything for this, so now poor goat is somewhere in a completely white dimention and the only way out is not active, though he’s quite chill about it.
Day 30 Amalgamate & Abnormal Formations This and last one’s world I didn’t leave for the die to decide, I really wanted to do Tetris with Napstablook and out of the two still left this prompt suits Endogeny more anyway. There’s a forest in Poland where several of the trees bend to north like this.
Day 31 Napstablook & Puzzling Platforms Only one I did during morning, my hands shake more then so all the lines are more or less wobbly. Every Tetris piece has it’s own signature design except the L-shape which is just blank to keep it interesting. Napstablook is enjoying game music while inside the game, maybe ghosts can possess videogames..? This also shows the notebook I drew all of these in and the tools I used most of the time.
It’s hard to tell if I’ve improved at all when comparing these to 2017 inktober, I haven’t draw regularly through the year and the main focus point this time was on backgrounds and not so much on lines and characters. I did learn new things and that’s always exiting, I think my trees, glass and rocks look way better than before I started, and I did some progress in shading metal too. All of these took 3 hours or less to finish, some only took an hour. I didn’t need to erase pencils like last year because I used a trick where I placed the sketch under the notebook page and my tablet with 100% brightness and a white bg under them, and traced that with ink. The notebook paper is pretty thin, you can see the Amalgamate drawing’s clouds showing through in the Napstablook photo. Anyway, this was fun, and I think I’ll try do it next year too!

Elizaaaa! Answering these questions was so much fun :') Pls, lets make this a weekly thinggg!!!
CW - SFW, but suggestive in some portions
Tagging: @dr-ackerman @chaotic-nick @antoxsmith @charlotteplsdosth (sorry i thought you were already tagged 🙈) and anyone who'd like to join in!!
Who are you self shipping today?- Erwin Foreverrrrr
1 Bowling -
-> We'd go in a group for sure. He's a natural. I'm terrible. He has the perfect score. But we finish last because of me lol. My hand eye coordination isn't made for bowling.
2 Ice Skating or Roller Skating
-> We're both terrible at this hahaaaa. It would be a hilarious sight. He's too tall and clumsy. I'm smol & clumsy. Levi can't believe how two people can be this bad at it. Hange has way too many videos of us taking the tumble on their phone. We'd be a mess in the beginning until we finally find our groove. The evening would be full of laughter - with, and at each other.
3 Karaoke
-> This man speaks songs, doesn't sing them. Like he reads the words off the screen as if they belong to one of his novels. I'm the Karaoke queen. I feel like I'd get fed up of him and partner up with Moblit and Nanaba instead. But I'd definitely woo him with some love songs just to watch him blush :')
4 Game arcade
-> We'd accompany the gang, but it probably wouldn't be our idea. Despite that, Erwin suddenly finds himself embroiled in a cut throat faceoff with Levi in one of those combat games while the others cheer on. I hog the Pacman machine and Hange's screaming their head off. Miche and I have a dance off.
5 Renaissance Festival
-> He begs not to go. REALLY BEGS. But comes along and even dresses up because he can't say no to my puppy face. Looks fucking Godly dressed like medieval royalty. We're late.. for um.. personal reasons. The gang almost has a heart attack because no one has seen him outside of his formal work attire in ages. Of course, we sneak back to the car for some 'us time'.
6 Carnival or Amusement Park
-> (I'm imagining Disney Land here) A fun Saturday out! Takes all rides with me, but not without a protective arm around me at all times :') Ties a balloon to my bag so I don't get lost in the crowd (I'm tiny). Randomly blurts out facts about the Magic Kingdom through out the day. WILL WEAR THE MICKEY HAT TO GIVE ME COMPANY AND LOOK ADORABLY DORKY. Makes sure we stay hydrated. Kisses me during the closing fireworks.
7 Escape Room
-> We're done even before they get the room locked. He's too smart. I hate going to escape rooms with him because he never gives me a chance to solve any of the questions.
8 Mini Golf and Go Karts
-> "But its regular golf for you since you're already mini!"
-> "Go Karting is probably just everyday driving for you, right?"
-> Smiles to himself as he watches me almost break the golf club out of frustration. I make him "teach me" how to play. Blushes profusely and starts coughing when I grind against him.
9 Sporting Event
-> He loves watching them. I don't. But I go anyway to keep him company if the guys aren't available. I get rewarded generously.
10 Scavenger Hunt
-> Again - we're done before the game even starts. No one wants to play if Erwin's playing. Including me.
Alright, who wants to continue our self ship tag game?! (ME!)
I thought it would be fun to list 10 casual date ideas and you put if you'd do them, how it would go, or why you would pass. These are things that could easily include double date, friend group, whatever makes you happy!
I have more ideas for romantic dates and more ship questions for other days. Let's have fun!

Levi
1 Bowling Yes bowling! By ourselves or in a group. Levi would be good, I'd ask for bumpers, he's say that was cheating. I barely break 100 but he let's me hug him in front of everyone for the one lone strike I get, and gives me head pats. He's out performing everyone by getting 'turkeys'.
2 Ice Skating or Roller Skating I feel like we'd pass, or rather, Levi would. Maybe I could get him to do it, he'd be terrible, be annoyed at my laughing, pout till we were done, tell me to stop calling him adorable haha
3 Karaoke I think we'd go but I don't see Levi participating usually. I'm kind of shy so would be there more to hang out with everyone, but if the girls are doing something like Spice Girls count me in. Levi actually smiles at my nonsense because now I'm having fun! Cannot get him to do it though.
4 Game arcade Is it sanitized in there? We'll have to bring out own wipes. Won't let me win at air hockey :( "It builds character." What?! But I win in skee-ball! He kills at the old games like pac-man. Gives me all the ticket winning to get a prize. Insists we wash our hands every couple games.
5 Renaissance Festival No dressing up here. Goes for the jousting, sword fighting and live chess match. He tries the beer, I get honey mead. Doesn't want to watch the comedy show but it ends up he laughs so hard! Only let's me buy thing I don't need when it turns out he wants a sword. "Levi, if you get an actual sword, I get to buy something too." "Fine." I get a couple things including a corset. Levi is happy with my purchase and buys me a matching necklace after he sees the outfit 😏
6 Carnival or Amusement Park I can see Levi rolling his eyes at all the donuts and cotton candy I want at a carnival. "You're gonna get sick." Yep :( We see the entertainment and play some of the games. Stop after realizing they're rigged. I have to force him on the ferris wheel but he gets on the carousel. He won't let me on anything else cause it doesn't look safe. Also likes the craft exhibits.
The only amusement park we go to is Epcot, cause we're there for the food. Italy, France and Japan are first on the list, others if we're able. Indulge in dessert! This guy does not like the big rides, so we go to the shows. Don't see many characters but Levi wants a picture with us and Mary Poppins. One of the characters not in costume 🙄 If we get a park hopper pass I think he'd we'd really enjoy the Haunted Mansion, and getting to meet Ariel.
7 Escape Room Levi in an escape room gets the win. His problem solving skills and our ability to 'think outside the box' gets us out. Might say it's stupid once or twice if we can't get the clue right away, but we make it out every time. Wants a discount for it not being hard enough.
8 Mini Golf and Go Karts Again I'm not sure about this one? We'd do mini golf, both complain about how hot it is. bet the winner something good. We're both decent but I win out. I'm terrible at go kart driving so for safety we would probably skip it.
9 Sporting Event We're going to a hockey game! By ourselves or in a group. Levi finally let's loose a little bit! Even get's some nachos to snack on. Good at trash talk. Almost gets into a fight with the other teams fans for getting too rowdy. "You wanna eat ice, idiot?" I tell him it's fine, but am eyeing where a guard is just incase. He takes a hat but doesn't wear it, just incase there's a hat trick. Also likes soccer and a few others.
10 Scavenger Hunt
Levi wants to win this, tells me to hurry up when I don't run. Takes all the pictures that he doesn't have to be in. Makes me do most of the activities. If we're in a group he will leave us behind if possible haha!

And Jean (fight me!)
1 Bowling We both need bumpers. Don't take it too seriously. He purposely tries to scare me when I go to roll the ball. Laughs at my mad face when my ball goes in another lane. "Awe, princess, don't be mad." I let him love on me a little while telling him I'm still mad. We bet Connie and Sasha dinner on which team wins the last game. We win!
2 Ice Skating or Roller Skating Okay at ice skating, busy trying to keep each other from falling. Roller skating is much better. Love the music and hold hands, try to 'dance' and that's where it will go wrong because I can't go backwards very well. Wind up sticking to forward skating after that.
3 Karaoke Group setting is the same for me, I sing with the girls. Jean will sing with the guys and totally serenade me. Makes us both blush but I am so turned on when he sings (not sorry!). Sings 'You Don't Know You're Beautiful' with the group, and something like 'My Girl' from The Temptations for me. 😊 Still trying to get me to duet.
4 Game arcade The biggest child I have ever met. Won't let me win anything. Thankfully I beat him way more than he thinks I will. "I let you win!" HA! Tries to win me stuffed animals out of the claw machine. Turns out, I am way better and win 3 to his 1, in less tries. Totally gets cheap candy like tootsie rolls with the winnings and saves most for a bigger prize next time.
5 Renaissance Festival We are dressing up for sure! Get asked to be in pictures AND help in a show. Get our fortunes told separately and Jean gets annoyed that I won't tell mine. Do a caricature with both of us. It's hilarious! He eats all the turkey legs he can and I get anything apple I see. Ogles the belly dancers but threatens to fight King Richard who flirts with me. Only shuts up when I pull him to the maze and kiss him quiet 😳
6 Carnival or Amusement Park At the carnival we eat all the snacks! Jean tries to win me big prizes at the games but they're kind of sketchy and we settle on a medium stuffed bear. I accidently win a goldfish that I give away because I don't understand how to care for a fish. We like the fast rides, thankfully neither of us get sick.
At the amusement park we again get on the big rides and buy some of the photos of us on them. At Disney we get Mickey ears for sure and go for snacks like churros or dole whips, and maybe a fancy sit down in the evening. Love meeting the characters. Have fun with Belle and Gaston, and Chip and Dale.
7 Escape Room We probably don't get out lmao. All the arguing about who is right (it's me). "That doesn't make any sense!" Well I'm sorry Jean, that's just how it is. Will only talk about the one thing he figured out. Wants to try again. After I invite Connie and Sasha it gets 10 times worse haha.
8 Mini Golf and Go Karts Jean acts like this is real golf. Shoots his ball in the water at least once when he hits it too hard. Gets handsy showing me the right way to hold the golf club. Pouts when I beat him. We do go karts even though I'm nervous. "Don't worry babe, nothing will happen to you." And has to apologize when I crash after he gets to close to my car!
9 Sporting Event Hockey or soccer again. Jean chants and cheers and is the reason a fight almost breaks out in the stands. Enjoys it most at hockey when the players fight. Wants his hat back after he throws it away during a hat trick. I just want to watch the game. Can get a little bored at soccer games but we belt out any time the crowd sings. It's not pretty.
10 Scavenger Hunt We have fuuun and go in a group. Sometimes can't agree on what a clue means and end up falling behind. We take almost all the pictures together. After smartening up we somehow make up time and come in second.

Favorite Movies of 2017
John Wick 2:
While never seeing the first, I walked into John Wick expecting it to be what I saw in the trailers and it exceeded my expectations. Not only is it a great story but it is amazingly shot with great set pieces. The scene with all the mirrors towards the end. Oh Damn. One of the best sequences I’ve seen in a film this entire year.
Logan:
X-Men movies recently haven’t been that great in my opinion. Days of Future Past I enjoyed a lot, didn’t see Apocalypse but heard it wasn’t that great. Logan brings us something we don’t see in comic book films, a death. Logan is the perfect ending to one of the best comic book hero portrayals we will ever see. The dark, gritty Wolverine which is Old Man Logan was a great story to end the Hugh Jackman era of Wolverine.
Wonder Woman:
Origin films are never great. After being introduced to Wonder Woman in Batman V Superman, I was intrigued to see how she will do in her own film. She delivered. While being one of the best comic book movies of the year, it was one of the best films of the year. Gal Gadot is great as Wonder Woman and knowing more about the character, that made BVS somewhat watchable, is always a good thing. She was my favorite part of Justice League and I’m excited to see the future of Wonder Woman in the unknown future of the DCEU.
Big Sick:
The Big Sick is my movie of the year. After being a fan of Kumail from Silicon Valley, I was very excited to see this film that he and his wife wrote about how they met. In a movie that I expected to be a comedy based on the actor's cast, I cried a lot. Such a beautiful story and the ending will have you leaving the theatre happy crying which only happens to me after Disney movies.
Baby Driver:
When you talk about the use of music in film, Baby Driver has to be in that conversation. The use of the soundtrack being the base of the film is phenomenal. The scene where they list the stars of the movie, the music is synced up with environmental pieces and that blew me away. The car chase, in the beginning, was well put together and the character Baby had a great backstory and a great conclusion.
Spider-Man:
When you think of a franchise that really needed to get their reboot to work, Spider-Man is top of the list. After seeing 2 rebooted versions of Spider-Man in the past decade, I’m excited about Tom Holland. He looks like a high schooler, he has the charm that Peter Parker has and is just a phenomenal Spider-Man. His inclusion in Civil War was well put together and Homecoming gave us the inside look of what Peter Parker does while waiting for his next mission that DOESN’T include Uncle Ben.
Thor:
If you ask many Marvel fans what the worst franchise is, a good amount of them would say Thor. The first Thor, followed by Thor: The Dark World, were ok films. They aren’t must-see movies for people to understand the Avengers. Thor Ragnorak took the boring Thor franchise and poured some of the Guardians mojo inside it and it worked. People might say that it was almost too funny but when did that become a bad thing? It was a great movie with a good moving plot not only for Thor but also for Loki (who is always a fan favorite.) This is a must-see movie for your friend that wants to catch up before Infinity War arrives in May. (Holy crap that’s soon)
CoCo:
I have this thing when I don’t see much press for Disney movies, I assume they won’t do great and it won’t be good. I felt that with Frozen, I was proven wrong. Not only by the box office numbers and the widespread of it in Disney parks, but as a Cast Member at the Disney Store where we would get an Else ornament in stock, get a call from a guest about it, and have that guest be in front of me 15 minutes later purchasing said ornament.
Coco followed this by not having much press before it released. I finally got around to seeing it and it was amazing. The animation style gets better and better each time Disney and Pixar release a film. The story was fantastic of the young boy going against his families warnings and pursuing music. Him finding out that his idol wasn’t the person he thought it was, is something we often in Disney films but this time it was unexpected. The music is amazing as well. Coco is near the top of my list of animated Disney films.
Honorable Mention:
Beauty and the Beast:
I enjoyed the film. It wasn’t amazing. The opening scene was a little odd to me, I prefer the stained glass or the storybook approach. The Be Our Guest sequence was the best part of the film. The choreography and the CGI made it a spectacle that I would expect from the song. I still prefer the animated version.
Guardians 2:
Carrying on from what was the biggest surprise which was Guardians 1, the sequel picks right up with the humor that we love. The mystery of Quill’s father was finally revealed and Ego was a great character with a good story arch. Having Quill possibly go be bad with Ego was interesting and I wish that it lasted longer but it was bound to end with Ego being a one-off villain. The introduction of Mantis was fantastic. I love that character and I’m excited to see how she effects the Guardians and other heroes in Infinity War.
Kingsman 2:
More of the same. I always love the gadgets they show off. I liked the idea of having Kingsman type groups around the country and having them interact was great. The fight scenes were well choreographed and put together. Didn’t throw any curveballs at me or surprise me in any way which was kind of disappointing.
Last Jedi:
I enjoyed the movie. It wasn’t the spectacle that was The Force Awakens and it didn’t have to be. This film ended a lot of things that I didn’t want to be ended. Luke Skywalker dying at the end was ok. I thought he would be more of the Yoda in the Rey/Luke friendship but having Yoda pop up saying that Rey is ready to go and has always been was underwhelming. Rose was an ok character. Finn was underused. Poe I enjoyed, I liked seeing him go against the purple-haired lady. I really think they should’ve killed off Leia in that floating scene because that scene was just unneeded. I would’ve liked to see a Snoke backstory. He was basically a Marvel villain. That Kylo Ren/ Rey fighting scene was FUCKING INSANE. The best part of the movie. The movie had a lot of low moments, I would say the first hour probably. But when the movie had high moments, they were really great. I am really interested to see how they finish off this trilogy because, besides a big Kylo / Rey faceoff, I don’t know what else they could do. Maybe the Knights of Ren?
Lego Batman:
Great humor that I expected but it just seemed extra funny because it was Batman. Will Arnett is great as Batman (never thought I’d say that.) The opening scene where they list all the explosives on the plane and end it by saying Two Best Friends, has me dying each time I watch it.
Still Have To See:
Blade Runner:
I’m really into Sci-Fi movies and this looked really interesting to me. But after not watching the first Blade Runner, I felt I wasn’t ready to see 2049. When it comes out on Blu-Ray I will definitely pick it up and watch both movies.
Get Out:
All I heard was great things about this movie. Never got around to watching it. I have purchased it so I’m just waiting for a lazy day where I can catch up on the movies I didn’t see.
Disaster Artist:
Always a fan of Seth Rogen and James Franco. This movie looks fantastic. I haven’t seen The Room (which this is based on) but I have a good idea of what made the movie so infamous. I will probably be seeing this soon.
Greatest Showman:
I will be seeing this in theatres soon. I am a huge fan of musicals. Hugh Jackman is a great actor and seeing Zac Efron return to musicals is great

KEELEY: MARINERS WEEKLY: MIRACLE REMEMBERED
BY: Michael Keeley, Maine Mariners PORTLAND, ME: Feb. 17, 2020 – The Mariners went riding high into a pair of off-days in Newfoundland after bringing the Growlers’ ECHL record 19 game win streak to an end on Saturday night at Mile One Centre in St. John’s. The Growlers set a new mark with a 5-1 win over the Mariners on Friday, passing the 18 game streak of the 1994-95 South Carolina Stingrays, but a 3-1 Maine win on Saturday kept the streak from reaching 20. Two games remain in Newfoundland on Tuesday and Wednesday, before the Mariners head back stateside to meet Adirondack on Saturday and finally return home for one more with the Growlers on Sunday afternoon in Portland. One day after the 40th anniversary of the Miracle on Ice at the 1980 Olympics, the Mariners will honor the famous Lake Placid event in the final home game of February. The week that was Tues, Feb. 11th – BRM: 2, MNE: 3/OT 3-2 was the score of choice in all three games between the Mariners and Brampton Beast as they played a trio of games at the Cross Insurance Arena last week, Brampton winning on Saturday and Sunday. The Beast jumped out to a pair of one-goal leads, following the pattern of the series’ previous games, but the Mariners rallied to erase a 2-1 third period deficit before Alex Kile delivered his third overtime winner of the season with less than a minute to go in the extra session. FULL GAME RECAP & HIGHLIGHTS Fri, Feb. 14th – MNE: 1, NFL: 5 The Growlers sought an ECHL record as they went for their 19th consecutive home win and grabbed a 3-0 lead through the middle part of the 2nd period. It was then that Conner Bleackley got the Mariners on the board, but they’d get no closer, as Newfoundland added on two more to skate away with the record and improve to 5-0 all-time vs. the Mariners on their home ice. FULL GAME RECAP Sat, Feb 15th – MNE: 3, NFL: 1 The Mariners got the first goal of the game for the first time in five contests as Michael McNicholas struck on the power play early in the 2nd. Newfoundland’s Riley Woods responded to tie the game late in the frame and it remained 1-1 until the Mariners power play found the net again with less than 90 seconds to go in the third on Morgan Adams-Moisan’s tap-in goal. Greg Chase added an empty netter and Newfoundland’s home win streak was stopped at 19 games. All games air on the Mariners Broadcast Network, with pregame coverage beginning 15 minutes prior to puck drop. The radio broadcast streams free on MarinersOfMaine.com/listen or the Mixlr App. A video stream is available on a subscription or pay-per-view bases through ECHL.tv in HD, with the “AWAY” audio option carrying the Mariners broadcast. Sunday’s “Miracle Night,” at the Cross Insurance Arena will be the last home game of February as well as the final game of the regular season series between Maine and Newfoundland. The Mariners will wear specialty jerseys inspired by the 1980 U.S. Olympic goal medal team, which are currently up for auction through the Handbid app, and will be until the start of the 3rd period on Sunday. Items MUST be donated at the Promotions Port to the right of the main security gates. While donations will be accepted at the Mariners office and other Cross Insurance Arena events, fans are not eligible to receive tickets unless the items are donated at a Mariners game. they hear a knock on their door and when they say “enter” their ex walks in ? Depends on which ex, but it’d be safe to assume he’d hug her and try to carry on a normal and calm conversation, even if with one of them, he’d be wondering how she found him.
if their house was on fire and they had 60 seconds to leave ? what 5 things would they take with them ? If it’s the frat house, his phone, wallet, sketchbook, picture of his family, and laptop. If it’s his home-home, his cat, sketchbook, phone, wallet, and then he’d grab whichever family member he passed by the arm.
« ° O V E R - A L L ;
when was the last time you tried something new ? Well, I tried working with a new medium in class recently. I don’t think I like carving much.
would you ever give up on your life if you could save someone else’s with it ? I mean, not to be selfish, but it depends on the person. For a kid, absolutely. For family, positively. Strangers... Not so much.
are you happy with yourself ? If I’m honest, no.
what chances do you wish you had taken ? I wish I had applied to bigger art schools. Don’t get me wrong, I love where I am, but I wish I’d seen if I could have gotten in.
what’s the first thing you think when you see yourself in the mirror ? “Holy shit that awful bedhead” or “God I’m still tired.”
#thegreekstask#((sorry it's not prettied up but i'm about to head out the door again so i just wanted to throw it out there before i do!#if i have time at all i'll try to make it look pretty later on))

#41: Season 1, Episode 8 - “Family Picnic”
The annual Family Decathlon rolls around and Steve is extremely into it. Like, extremely. He makes the whole family participate every year. But Louis — who always feels like the outsider, (and isn't exactly athletically inclined) cheats in a competition he knows he doesn't stand a chance in.
We get an opening shot of Louis mowing some Australian dude's lawn. Then it rewinds and starts the story of how he ended up there. Something a little unique about this episode is that Louis narrates it. I’m 99.9% sure it's the only one in the series that has a storytelling voiceover from Louis or Ren throughout like this. It actually feels a little weird. I wonder why they decided on that for this one. He tells us about this "Family Decathlon" that his dad is obsessed with and makes the whole gang compete in as Team Stevens. We get one of my favorite lines when Louis is explaining just how much Steve cares about the picnic: "Does my dad take it seriously? Now, that's like asking ‘Did Shaq have a growth spurt?’” What a great analogy though, honestly.
Louis really, really does not want to go to the picnic. He'd rather see some new Jackie Chan flick where Jackie "wipes out an entire evil army with ONE NOODLE!" I've always laughed at "one noodle." Seriously, a NOODLE?! Is this a weapon I don’t know about? Like, define noodle. A pool noodle? A measly, little pasta noodle? Now, THAT’D be pretty impressive. But, he has a talk with Eileen and decides to do it because they can’t win without Louis “Crazy Legs” Stevens. This scene is adorable, though. Eileen keeps calling him Crazy Legs, and Louis just giggles like “Maaa! Don’t start with the crazy legsss.” It’s so cute. I feel like we don’t see enough of this, so I love it. He agrees to go to the picnic, but will not compete in whatever contest he got the nickname “Crazy Legs” for. “NO MEANS NO!” He says.
Just thought I’d say: I love Tawny’s outfit, omg.
Suddenly, it does a hard cut to a shot of Louis’ butt. I’m not kidding. He is sassily shaking it from side to side as he balances an egg on a spoon. We find out that “Crazy Legs” originates from his unusual technique in the egg race. I can’t. The best part about this scene is the 70’s disco, royalty-free stock music playing that says “BOOGIEEEE!!!!” (pronounced “boogaaaayy”) It always makes me laugh. Twitty and Tawny are giving him a hard time about it, saying he’s not like the rest of his family and shouldn’t have to do the race. Louis says he can’t back down because “I’m a Stevens. We have a motto: You dream it, you scheme it, and you cream it.” and Tawny asks “…..wHAT… does that mean???” I swear to god if this is another innuendo…
Suddenly Louis takes their advice and decides to NOT do the race again. He goes to tell Steve later that night and overhears him talking to Ren about what a great kid Louis is and that he has the heart of a lion! One of my favorite lines in this episode is from Steve here: “You know Louis learned to walk at 6 months?! …..granted he didn’t speak until he was 4 1/2, BUT THE POINT IS--” lol. While listening in, Louis gets his head stuck in the banister. This always bothered me because the railings are widely spaced. He was able to poke his head through straight, no problem!! Then to get out, he tilts his head all the way to the side so it “gets stuck.” Even while he’s “stuck” you can see that his chin could easily get out. Oh my god. Much like the bus rearranging fiasco, this is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen on this show and has always annoyed me. It’s really not that serious, though. So don’t listen to me. It’s just a plot device so that the banister can break and Louis can fall into a box, making a very loud entrance.
Like, seriously. Is it just me, or could he easily get out of there?!?! Why tilt your head all the way to the side??? Who knows! This just always looked like a force to me, lol.
Steve and Ren rush over to ask if he’s okay, and Louis says “I came to tell you that… I can’t. Can’t, uh… can’t… wait to win the race tomorrow!! :D” I would literally see right through that. If the blatant stuttering wasn’t enough, surely the dramatic drop in his facial expression from “can’t wait!” to “kill me” should’ve given it away:
Then we get another hard cut to the picnic. That’s something else that’s weird about this one. It it seems to jump around a lot and there are two major montages, which causes the episode to fly by and makes it feel like not much happens. The first of the two is kicked off with Louis about to compete against a bunch of tiny children. “I feel like I’m the only one in this race that knows their times tables” he says, lol.
He came prepared. Is he really wearing a back brace???
He shakes hands with last year’s champion who’s like… 6, (^ the kid on the far right) becomes intimidated, and says “you got…. quite a grip…” which is pretty funny. But then it cuts to a useless western-style faceoff thing between them. I never liked this for some reason. Just ANOTHER thing that makes it feel like nothing is actually happening here. Oh, well. The montage starts with the beginning of the egg race.
One thing I never understood: Shouldn’t everyone’s spoon be the same size? A spoon that perfectly hugs the egg (like Louis’) will be easier to race with. One of the bigger spoons that would cause the egg to roll around, would be much more difficult. Those are the spoons everyone should use. Doesn’t seem fair, lol. ANYWAY!
......was this really necessary?
In this montage we see Donnie playing badminton with an elderly man and falling — hurting his shoulder. Ren losing a homemade apple pie contest to a biker dude. (You break down those gender roles, Disney! lol) Eileen climbing a tree, Louis winning the egg race, and Steve cutting up a turkey with a CHAINSAW? What kind of contest is that? Do people actually do this? Are you supposed to be carving it into something? Or just… hacking it up?! What’s the point of that? Where’s the skill??? This montage is literally 2 minutes long. That doesn’t sound like a lot.. but it is. I mean, I guess I don’t really know how else they could’ve shown each individual family member without taking up too much time. But, yeah. All the footage is set to another stock song, and I’m assuming it was written just for this episode. They lyrics are “Now go go, Mr. Crazy Legs! Now no no!! Don’t you drop those eggs!” Much like “Casa de Fiesta” this gets stuck in my head all the time.
??????
We get another one of my favorite lines when the family is resting a bit before the last big event — The father/son kayak race. Donnie is icing his shoulder and says “I think I just ripped a delt.” Louis is extremely insulted and exclaims “Well, that’s pretty rude. I’M EATING.” So good. They have a run-in with their biggest competition, a super jacked father/son duo from Perth Australia, Porter and Quincy.
Donnie was set to row in the race, but now he can’t with his bad shoulder. So Steve says very dramatically “All I can say is..… I’m glad I have two sons!” and it pans to Louis stuffing his face with a cupcake.
Why is this so funny?! lol.
Louis really doesn’t want to disappoint Steve, so he decides to cheat just so Team Stevens can win. He drills a hole in Quincy’s kayak. Wow, Louis. If I were in charge of this picnic, I would’ve been so suspicious as to how Louis Stevens — a small, awkward kid who lives on junk food and can’t run a decent lap without busting a lung… was able to beat teenage bodybuilder and potential crocodile hunter Quincy. Quincy was clearly sinking, like… obviously something was up with his kayak. But no one cares. LOUIS WON!
Now we get to the absolute best part of the episode. The thing that made me rank this episode higher. The second montage! Louis' conscience kicks in, and we see that he feels soooo incredibly guilty. Everywhere he goes he hears the word "Cheater" even when it's not actually being said. It’s hilarious to me. He fully melts down in school when his teacher starts talking about Cheetahs. It's amazing. It's one of those scenes I just have to embed.
youtube
Tawny is rightfully concerned about Louis’ little panic attack and asks him if he feels guilty about something. This is another one of my favorite Louis lines: “Guilty? Right. Even if I was — WHICH I’M NOT! — I would do the healthy thing, and keep it tightly bottled up inside of me.” What a legend. Tawny tells him the story of The Tell-Tale Heart, and he gets to flustered under the pressure.. he confesses. He starts off the explanation with “Donnie ripped a delt thingy and I was eating a cupcake and everything was all screwed up” which I love so much.
At dinner that night, the family is going around the table saying all the good things each of them accomplished that day. But, when it gets to Louis he just says “I cheated in the kayak race” which opens the flood gates for everyone else to confess to cheating or not being honest, good people lol wow. Eileen says she punched a squirrel on her way up the tree. Which is just… Wow. Imagine that poor squirrel. Steve is disappointed in his family, but sort of blames himself for putting so much pressure on all of them. True.
Steve starts questioning his parenting, wondering what he’s taught the kids, and Louis says “you’ve taught us that it’s better to play fair and lose than to win by cheating” — Well, that’s very specific and relevant advice! Why didn’t you follow THAT, Louis?! In the end, Louis apologizes to Steve and they make up. It’s a nice father/son moment.
Louis still feels bad, so he challenges Quincy to a rematch — Loser has to do the other’s chores for the week. Obviously he loses and that's why he's mowing Quincy’s lawn at the beginning! “Boy, do those Aussie’s have a lot of yard work” he says, as it zooms out to reveal a totally not CGI lawn.
I like this episode. The cheater montage does it for me. Shia is brilliant! As usual. Other than that, I like that there was a lesson in there, that Louis actually had a conscience, and that he bonded with Steve a bit. I also love whenever Tawny acts as Louis’ personal therapist, lol. They’re great together. There’s also no Ren subplot (or subplot in general!) So that’s different.
We’re almost into the #30s!! What the heck!! AHHH!
Thanks for reading!
For this episode’s Redbubble design, you can now get your own “Team Stevens” shirt! Ayyyyy!

Montréal Canadiens 2016-2017 Yearbook Players Q&A
FROM YEARBOOK AND ALL CREDITS TO MONTREAL CANADIENS.
[HIGHTLIGHT TO THOSE PARTS WHICH IS IMPORTANT TO READ]
_________________________________
#45 Mark Barberio
Q: What was the inspiration for your “Stache”?
MB:(laughs) I’ve always been a big fan of Mario and Luigi in the Super Mario games. They always had great moustaches. I thought I would pay tribute to them with my “stache”.
_________________________________
#28 Nathan Beaulieu
Q: Growing up, how many people actually pronounced your last name properly?
NB:(laughs) Not many! It’s not that easy. It’s a little bit my fault, though, because since I grew up in Ontario, I always Anglicized it.
_________________________________
#41 Paul Byron
Q: How’d you get so fast?
PB: I don’t know. I started skating when I was three and I was always fast. When I moved from Junior B to Major Junior, I also started training on artificial ice where I had to pull my coach, who weighed 230 pounds, while I weighted 130. That probably helped me get faster, and I always work really hard in the summer to build up my power.
_________________________________
#43 Daniel Carr
Q: Do you have a favorite Disney movie?
DC: I don’t know if this is a Disney movie, but I’d have to say the first shrek. That one was really good.
_________________________________
#24 Phillip Danault
Q: If you had a chance to bring back any former Canadiens player, who would it be?
PD: Saku Koivu, because he was a great leader and I had a chance to see him often growing up I was more of a kid who played hockey instead of watching it, but i’d pick him.
_________________________________
#51 David Desharnais
Q: What’s your best memory with the team?
DD: Probably when we went to the Eastern Conference finals[in 2014], after we beat Boston in Game 7 in their building. Personally, my first game and my first goal are both things I’ll never forget, but with the team on the whole, what we accomplished that year was special.
_________________________________
#74 Alexei Emelin
Q: Who is the hardest player to knock off their feet?
AE: On our team, I’d say Chucky[Alex Galchenyuk] or Radu[Alex Radulov]. In the League, it’s either Connor McDavid or Alex Ovechkin.
_________________________________
#32 Brian Flynn
Q: Who was your favorite NHL player growing up?
BF: When I was a kid, it was Peter Forsberg. I loved the Avalance. They were an exciting team, and then they made the deal to bring in Ray Bourque from Boston and won the Cup. Forsberg scored a lot of big goals. I even started wearing 21 because of him.
_________________________________
#27 Alex Galchenyuk
Q: Who on the team would be the class down and who would be the A+ student?
AG: No question. Andrew Shaw would for sure be the class down. For the best student, I’d probably say Jeff Petry because he went to university and is a smart guy.
_________________________________
#11 Brendan Gallagher
Q: Who is your favorite player to go up against?
BG: I’m always excited to go up against Zdeno Chara, just because throughout my entire life, people always said I was too small. For me, there’s no bigger challenge than going up against the biggest guy in the League.
_________________________________
#62 Artturi Lehkonen
Q: Since you joined the team, which guy had made the biggest impact on you both personally and as a player?
AL: It’s tough to pick just one guy because we have such a good group here. Everything really is about teamwork.
_________________________________
#79 Andrei Markov
Q: What motivated you to become a hockey player?
AM: My parents. They didn’t want me to waste my time after school.
_________________________________
#17 Torrey Mitchell
Q: Before a faceoff, you look so focused. What are you thinking about?
TM: I’m just thinking about being aggressive for a good five to 10 seconds. Just being as aggressive as possible.
_________________________________
#35 Al Montoya
Q: How is your relationship with Brendan Gallagher since you punched him two years ago?
AM: Oh, that’s a great question! On my first day here, Patch[Max Pacioretty] actually brought it up. He walked into the room and said, “ Have you and Gally talked about the time you hit him in Winnipeg?” We all just started cracking up. It was nothing. I was excited to be playing against a team like this and he was just doing his job. He’s kind of player you hate playing against, but you love to have on your team. I have so much respect for him.
_________________________________
#26 Jeff Petry
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
JP: During the season, I pretty much just spend my free time at home with my son, Boyd. In the summer, I like to be outside, or I’ll go shooting or fishing.
_________________________________
#14 Tomas Plekanec
Q: How was playing professional hockey changed your life for the better?
TP: It was a dream come true. I’ve always dreamed about becoming a professional athlete, especially as a hockey player, and I worked really hard to get here. You have a chance to wake up, go to practice, and then have the day to spend with your family. We know we’re very privileged to have this opportunity.
_________________________________
#31 Carey Price
Q: Which NHL player gives you the most trouble or is the most difficult to stop?
CP: I would probably say Ovi[Alex Ovichkin] because he always seems to find an opening and he as a great shot.
_________________________________
#47 Alexander Radulov
Q: Who has the weirdest ritual or superstition on the team?
AR: Definitely Mitchy[Torrey Mitchell]. He makes all of us tap our helmets together in the hall before we go on the ice.
_________________________________
#Zach Redmond
Q: What’s your favorite road city?
ZR: During the year, you run into a lot of cold weather. That’s why a lot of the guys and I enjoy the California and Florida trips. It’s good to have a little break and enjoy the sun a little bit, not that we’re out in the sun a whole lot when we’re there. It’s always nice to break it ip mid-season.
_________________________________
#65 Andrew Shaw
Q: When you were traded to Montreal, what were you most excited about?
AS: I was really pumped about making new friends and meeting new people and forming relationships on and off the ice. And just the idea of pulling on this jersey with all the history that comes with it. I was just excited to take part in everything here.
_________________________________
#6 Shea Weber
Q: Do Carey Price and Al Montoya let you take full clappers in practice?
SW: I’m sure they would, but I never feel the need to take huge slapshots, just in case I get someone in a bad place. There’s no reason to hurt your own goalie. The best time to fire off some of those is when there’s no goalie in the net.
_________________________________
#8 Greg Pateryn
Q: What motivates you to improve yourself every day?
GP: What you need to do not just every year, but every single day, is getting better. I think you have to take pride in knowing you’re helping your teammates and that they can count on you. But they also expect you to get better. If you don’t, you’re not just letting yourself down, you’re letting the team down. That’s what motivates me. That and also knowing that there’s always someone fighting to take your place and that you could end up out of a job.
_________________________________
#67 Max Pacioretty
Q: What is your goal for this season?
MP: To win the Stanley Cup.

babyfairy here again. just wanted to say i dislike all of the songs in your ratty ass playlist. this is the kind of playlist a school shooter listens to before going in for the kill. ps. you're still ugly as fuck. suck my black ass
@diaroon @saiyanhero
At least I have a playlist! What does your blog have? Eh, nothing except a loli girl theme with a Mew gif. Mew would be ashamed to be associated with you!
Also, I don’t know about you but its not a school shooter playlist. In fact, YOU seem the type to shoot up a school, angry little kid who’s soooo easily offended and CLAIMS that everyone who isn’t black/doesn’t agree with you is racist and you DID advocate for the death of white people in some of your posts. (old ones, but you still hold that mindset.) Seems to me that you’d pick up a gun and shoot up the nearest school just for having white kids. I mean, if you’re willing to go through all this bullshit to continue harassing me, what else are you capable of?As for the songs there, let’s take a looksy:
-Your Heart Will Lead You Home, by Kenny Loggins.
Wow..so a song about missing your friends and how they’ll still be there for you is a school shooter song? I mean you don’t have any friends, so of course you’d think it’s evil because nobody wants to be friends with a racist hypocrite.
-Not One Of Us, from the Lion King 2
Haven’t you seen any of the Lion King movies? They’re sort of a big thing? Come on don’t tell me you hate Disney, lol. How is a bunch of animals singing about someone who betrayed them a school shooter song? I mean, it sort of applies to you seeing as you’re deceptive, disgraceful, shameful and pure evil. People want you to leave them alone, and nobody wants you to come back here because of that. The only difference between you and and the lion they were singing about, at least he made an effort to right his wrongs.
-River Flows In You
Only you would thing a piano song is a school shooting song. Is it because YOU fantasize about shooting up a white school with pretty music playing? Gee whiz girl, get your shit together.
-My Metal Boy
Oh look, another song you think is evil because you never had anyone who cared about you, so you automatically hate it. Only you would hate a song about a loving parent taking care of their child. Then again it’s no surprise. Either you were summoned or hatched.
-Holding Out For A Hero
Can you reach any further??
-Mohombi Maraca
Don’t break your back with that reach, holy shit.
-Perfect Two
Aw, another song you hate because nobody loves a racist hypocrite :) Stop being racist and a hypocrite and you might find a guy or girl who won’t run away from you.
-Fallen in Love
Are you seeing a pattern here, because I am! Jealous bitch is jealous because nobody loves her because of her ratty ass attitude, so now she thinks everything is school-shooter songs and evil because it doesn’t apply to her. Pathetic.
-You’re so True
Seriously? I mean, my playlist is something a normal person would have and yet you would associate it with killing. Why?? Are you that deranged?? You think everything that isn’t Beyonce is evil?? (For the record she IS a Beyonce fan)
-Let me Out
Taken from a werewolf movie, because I liked it. Turns out the girl who THOUGHT she was prettier than the other and got jealous that the main character had a boyfriend was the werewolf.
-House That Built Me, by Miranda Lambert
A song about homesickness, and you associate something with FEELINGS with murder. You foul reptilian.
-This is WarI don't see how this is a school shooter song, its about war, sure, but nothing about this is school-shooter. Did you even listen to any of these songs?
-In Noctem
So you hate sleepy chorus music, good to know. I bet you hate Harry Potter too.
-MountainsThis makes me think of afternoon sunlight filtering through a hiking trail as a group of friends walk down it, talking with each other and enjoying each other's company and taking pictures of nature. Something you can't relate to.
-Memories, by TiNoXBeatzSo, this is the music I use to write sad scenes for my stories and poems, since I associate this with one of the sadder moments in my life, and it's very peaceful.
-I'm still HereTreasure Planet, song about a boy who's dad walks out on him and his mom and he is sick of other people telling him what to be even though they never change.
-Double TroubleHarry Potter song that I think I heard or read somewhere else in terms of the lyrics.
-The Mechanical GirlTell me how a story/song about a king who orders a tinker and his creation to his castle, decides he wants to marry the robot, throw the tinker out, marry the robot who turns into a war machine to be able to escape and go back to her creator bad?
-Santa Monica dreamWhenever I hear of this, I think of my family back home and the things we used to together, like at Nanny's house we'd go outside and play football, go see the animals, catch up on relatives who visit from so far away, practically half the family shows up to see her every time because she lives a-ways away from everyone else.
-Back on TrackThis is my drawing inspiration music, lol, and also the exercise music for the hamster.
-Stereo MadnessAlso drawing inspiration music.
-Monsters by Mark ProvartTaken from one of my favorite scenes in the Scooby Doo 2 movie
-Piper's Dancing musicI don't remember the original title of it, but this music is peaceful at first, then it gets to where you can dance to it! I used to dance to this back at our old house, and my grandparents love it.
-Spirit of the HawkThis was a song I found back in tenth grade that I liked, and I remember when playing it on the Chromebook while waiting for the bus, this group starts dancing to it, and it's how I met one of my friends, so even though I don't like it as much now, it reminds me of when I met him.
-Mad WorldI like the guy who sings this, his voice is soothing even if the song is sad.
-Boats and BirdsThis one means a lot to me, because the singer sounds like my mother. I don't get to see my mom as much anymore, and when I was younger she used to sing to me all the time and I really miss that. We used to live in the country, just me and her while Dad was off driving cross-country to make deliveries for the company he worked at, and we spent our summer at this one beautiful house outside in the backyard or on the porch, and as I'd paint or play with one of the cats, she'd sing. She also sang whenever I was having trouble sleeping, so whenever I can't sleep, I put this on to help.
-Get off of my BackThis is my song that gets me going, ESPECIALLY when dealing with people like you. So take the song's advice and get off of my back.
-Rosemary's BabyIt's from a horror movie, one that I am pretty sure explains your origins. I actually like Rosemary's singing, since its soothing.
-Battle in the SkiesI'm into steampunk and dieselpunk, and it is also drawing and writing inspiration music.
-Faceoff theme (the show, not the movie)I feel like more of a model when I have this playing while I try on clothing, and it gets me feeling determined, not to mention it helps when sketching out character designs.
-Great SpainThis song is something you can really dance to and the voices sound really pleasant even if I don't understand what they're saying. Alice likes this music too!
-Great JapanI like the vocals and the instrumentals, and I use this as workout music.
-Hellsing music box themeI don't like this as much as I used to, but I really like music boxes so its why I keep it until I can find something better to replace the theme with.
-PanzerkampfSabaton has some of the best history related songs. It gets the heart thumping when you have it loud, and I have a fond memory of this: at school, we had Chromebooks that shut off music that you're playing but they resume it as soon as you open it again. I didn't know this before I opened it and the music BLARED through the classroom. I found another Sabaton fan that way! (Also, my history teacher got introduced to the music and he plays it in his classrooms for other students during free time.)
-What I nap toHocus Pocus was a good movie, then I found this version of it that I find soothing.
-Circle BackwardsThis song makes me feel better whenever I think about home and the schools I left. After I listen to it I feel a lot better.
-Revamped MozartI like remixes of classical songs, and its really fitting for our pets when they get to play with each other. Scratch hops around on the cats, Suzie jumps everywhere, Alice leaps onto things to escape Scratch, Randal runs, Baby swats at Suzie and Oreo just plays in her cage. If I ever video their antics I am putting this as the background music.
-Short HairIts from that one scene in Mulan where she disguises herself as a man. This song conveys so much emotion for that scene, and not a word had to be spoken.
-Airship PiratesUsed as writing inspiration, and I think its pretty good for an Abney Park song. Listening to it right before I make a trip to the library makes me feel like I'm on a mission.
-I need some sleepThis song is self explanatory, aka my Insomnia Song.
-Europa GlobusHoly fucking shit if you don't own a pair of earbuds get some right now and plug it in to listen to this on full volume and make sure you're sitting down because this is one of the fucking best songs and it gives you chills and I swear you can see every battle and event flash right before your eyes like some epic movie and it makes you tremble and shiver its like a brain massage and the best part is if you're not very imaginative there's a youtube video that simulates it and also this is good workout music and I use it when exercising and I'm sure your history teacher will fucking love this
-Burn it DownSong about guys who enact revenge on a boss because of unfair working conditions, but they kill everyone instead because they didn't think to check the building's layouts first.
-Big green tractorThis brings back memories of one of the houses we used to live at, and this song came out around the time I went to my first school dance where they played this. My date and I had a lot of fun dancing, and the sore feet later was so worth it.
-I love to laughThis song also cheers me up and come on how can you listen to this and NOT smile? Maybe if you're a souless reptilian person, but if the lyrics don't get you then the laughter will!
-Benny Hills themeWhen I'm bored I put this on and watch random youtube videos, and for most of the prank fails or parkour fails it automatically makes them funnier. Reading your comments with this playing makes it much more funnier too!
-Touch the skyI really like Brave and this is also writing inspiration
-I love rock and rollIn one of my stories, an important scene takes place at this club that plays a lot of rock and roll, and currently I am at the part where the guy drags his really mousy friend to her crush so she can talk to her. This music helps me envision what the club is like.
-Accidentally in loveFond memories of this song, it cheers me up, puts me in the mood to draw and write romantic things and this is what plays in my head whenever I think about one of my Hellsing pairings.
-Jeeper Creeper's whistleNot really a song, but I use it anyways because I can
-Lone DiggerOh man I LOVE this one! This is the song that got me into electro swing, and the video that goes with it is a little strange, kind of like if Zootopia was geared towards an adult crowd. Stripper Gazelle and bloody fight aside, this song is good. I was dancing to this a few months ago, then I cracked my ankle on the organ chair.
-Tia's Monster remixDrawing inspiration and this is going to be a part of a animation I want to do
-If you're gonna play in TexasSong that my dad used to play whenever he took me somewhere. Emotional attachement, you know?
-Pumped up kicksThe only song about a school shooting, I didn't even realize it was until after I just googled it to see who wrote it.
One song out of how many is 'school shooter' songs?? Did you even listen to all of the songs, or did you just skip through until you found Pumped up kicks?
By the way I am pretty as fuck,
and no, if you want your ass sucked then go pay one of your friends to do it. Funny how you keep saying you're black even though you're mixed and white passing and yet you demonize other people for daring to claim their ethnic halves just because they are white passing. It's hypocrisy, but then again babyfairy, that's nothing new with you.

KEELEY: MARINERS POINT STREAK ENDS WITH LOSS TO BRAMPTON
Elmer’s two-point effort, underwear toss goal not enough BY: Michael Keeley, Maine Mariners PORTLAND, ME – February 9, 2020 – The Brampton Beast built three one-goal leads, the third of which stood up for the game-winner in a tight 3-2 victory over the Maine Mariners on Sunday afternoon at the Cross Insurance Arena. Jake Elmer had a goal and an assist for Maine, including the “underwear toss” goal in the 2nd period, as the Mariners collected donations for Preble Street Teen Services. After a scoreless first period, Brampton made a push to start the 2nd and took a 1-0 lead when Lindsay Sparks deflected home a shot from Matt Petgrave just 44 seconds into the frame. The Mariners gradually worked their way back with scoring chances as the period went along and converted on the power play at 12:18 to even the score. Off an offensive zone, faceoff won by Ryan Ferrill, Jake Elmer beat Beast goalie Alex Dubeau with a short-side shot to tie the game and summon the “underwear toss,” a charitable promotion by the Mariners, similar to the “Teddy Bear Toss,” but with new packages of underwear. The game entered the third tied at one. Sparks struck again 2:22 into the third, his third goal of the weekend, crashing the far post and potting a rebound past Connor LaCouvee’s pad. The Mariners didn’t waste much time tying the game again when Eddie Matsushima slipped a pass to Morgan Adams-Moisan from below the goal line at 6:37 to make it 2-2. The see-saw period swung back in Brampton’s favor at 8:33 when David Pacan redirected T.J. Melancon’s shot past a fooled LaCouvee. The Mariners pulled LaCouvee in the game’s closing moments but couldn’t find the equalizer. Dubeau stopped 20 of 22 to earn the win, while LaCouvee made 26 saves for his first loss in six starts.
