The REAL reason the animated Beetlejuice has red fingertips

When trying to Google "Why does the animated Beetlejuice have red fingertips" a very NSFW answer comes up. And it's not true either. Here is the real answer from my own research. My source is from asking around online and even a statement from someone who worked for the animation company. Apparently Beetlejuice (in Tim Burton's original doodles) has claw nails. And that's how they started to draw him for the animated series but at the last minute someone decided that might be too "scary" for kids. So rather than re-draw everything that was done at that point they rounded the claw nails and covered them with red and the look stuck. (digital editing didn't exist yet.)

Do you know many episodes of the cartoon are in B&W? I know It's a Wonderful Afterlife, but I'm not 100% on the rest. Asking because I'm doing research for the next segment of my dream theory masterpost and I want to be as accurate as possible.

I think two? Chromazone is one of the b&w episodes.

It has been a hot minute since I binged the series but I remember this one for sure.
