Jon's in a really tough spot in Metropolis. It had all started at school, when everybody (and he meant everybody) started going crazy over this new rocker girl. And yeah, Jon would admit the music was pretty good

and then it started mind-controlling people

oops. The only thing preventing him, Kon and his Dad from getting mind controlled was their standard issue mind protection tech, but that was only half effective, which meant they were fighting their own urges to join the masses of adoring fans just as much as they were fighting the local supervillains put under the spell of Ember. Worse still, local menace and controversial TikTokker Livewire had also joined the band, making the number of celebrities who were secretly supervillains up to two, which isn' a lot but it it's concerning that it's happened twice (and yes I know there are others but jon doesnt lol)

Just when all hope was lost, a tiny kid in silvery armor rocketed up to where Silver Banshee had pummelled him into the floor. Jon's eyes widened, already calculating flight paths to get the kid out of harm's way despite his injuries, when the kid's back exploded with green smoke, sending him for a collision course right for Silver Banshee. Then, at the last second, two rocket thrusters on the back of the kid's foot exploded, sending his leg careening right into Silver Banshee's face, which had turned around at the noise, knocking her out in one kick

"Huh, not a ghost..." The boy muttered. This close, Jon could see that his helmet visor was electronic, currently displaying a big question mark. "I guess the banshee part of her name is just marketing or something. Oh, wait!"

Before Jon could say anything, the kid snapped a headset onto Jon's ears, and suddenly the persistant pressure to join the mindless horde evaporated. The kid's head tilted and he waved his hand in front of Jon's eyes.

"Hello? Phantom to Superboy? Any lingering feelings of wanting to join the mindless horde of rabid fans of the world's lamest rockstar and her girlfriend?"

Jon shook his head. "No... it's all gone. Thank you. But, who are you? And what are you doing here?"

The kid's helmet turned turned to a grinning cartoonish face. "The name's Phantom, designation JF6290 something something numbers numbers I forgot. I'm an android built to fight ghosts, and," the kid (robot?) turned to look at the masses of mind-controlled people shambling through the streets, "it looks like you guys have a ghost problem."

"Ghosts?" Jon repeated dumbly, still reeling from how peaceful his mind felt at this moment after hours of resisting the control.

"Yeah. This is Ember's work. She's a ghost that gets stronger the more people listen to her music. Normally I have her contained, but this time she managed to sneak out from under my nose, so I guess this is my fault. Sorry about that..." the robot boy's face turned into a crying kaomoji, complete with embarassed blushes.

"Hey, it's not your fault. These things happen. What matters is you've beaten her already, right?'

Phantom's face turned bright again. "Yep! I've got all the latest in ghost hunting tech, but I'm not as good at fighting non-ghosts." He shrugged. If Jon hadn't been told, he'd have thought this was a real human (or metahuman) kid in a suit, with all the extremely casual, laidback mannerisms that Red Tornado rarely exhibited

Jon looked at Silver Banshee, who was sporting a nasty bruise and was still unconscious. "Well, I'm sure we can help you out. The name's Superboy, but you already know that. HOw vulnerable are you to electricity?" he asked, because bringing a kid robot to fight Livewire seemed like a recipe for disaster.

"Welll..." Phantom's face tv screen visor-type deal displayed an O.O emoticon. "I have some tools that might help."

spread his arms out and his chest slit open, revealing a truly implausible number of random gadgets, tools and weapons. "I'm sure at least one of these could help?" Phantom asked

"Do you have more of these headset things?"

"Duh, like twenty?"

"Then let's go! We have to help free my family, then we can deal with Ember and Livevwire."

And that was the beginning of a great partnership and friendship. From then on, Phantom would occasionally pop in to help out with ghost issues, or just to hang out. Sometimes he'd appear in metropolis, but soon he started appearing in Central City, Happy Harbour and other villain hotspots, usually chasing a ghost of some kind, but occasionally he and Jon would just hang out. Then, Damian got wind and basically barged in, demanding answers, only to be disarmed by Phantom's absolute fanboying over him

Danny’s ghost form was harder to hold together the farther away he was from the ghost portal. A solution found by Danny & Tucker was to create a robot body that Danny could possess that stabilized his form. The ectoplasm molding itself into the machine and possession causing Danny to become one with the tech, letting him not only use his ghost powers but also unique weaponry and gadgets built into his robot body.

An added bonus is that no one thinks he’s a ghost or even a human.

Based on authentic aussie's robot!robin AU Danny flees from the GiW, terribly injured and cut off from his family and allies. He floats into the manor, hoping to find some food and a place to stay within the dozens of empty rooms in the place, only to find something better, a new body~~ This metallic body will be perfect for concealing his ecto-signature while maintaining perfect stealth, except for the bright red leotard so eventually Batman and co. track him down, and they're not even that upset that he made off with one of Robin's spare bodies. They even agree to make him a new one and take him in! He's so grateful he forgets to tell that he's got a whole-ass human form.

You can take this in a lot of directions. I've got the image of human Danny just casually walking into the kitchen before being tackled by Damian, who demands to know why he's in the manor and Danny completely forgets that up to now, they've all been under the impression he was a dead child inhabting a robot.

I'm also partial to Danny becoming a new hero seperate from Phantom, using Fenton tech built into his robot form to ghost hunt, and even fight magical threats. Can you imagine?? Kid Flash is rolling in his grave

The Moment It Breaks

Reason: I made this AU for the Danny Phantom au zine, Reality Trip, and I have had so much fun playing with it. It started as a throwaway wondering "what if Vlad approached Tucker instead of Valerie?" and grew into something huge. I've always adored no one knows aus, and this one takes it a step further. I'll be posting the fic to Ao3 soon, and I've got big plans for the rest of this AU.

The Haunting of Danny Fenton

Description: Valerie knows Danny Fenton, everybody does. Youngest of the family, son and heir, future owner of Fenton Works. Notable for all those reasons and infamous for none of them. Where Maddie and Jack are the local quirks, Danny is the tragedy. And, for the next week, he's the Red Huntress' newest client.

Reason: I adore writing Valerie's point of view. She's my favourite character, so it's a bit criminal that I don't have more fics focused on her. I've also used some different narrative techniques in this fic playing with perspective, which has been a lot of fun.

The Punishment Fits the Crime

Description: Ghosts are naturally drawn to death. Danny, however, finds himself drawn to those who have wrongfully died. He always said he would never hurt someone who doesn't deserve it. It's not his fault that he keeps finding people who do. Or: Danny is a vengeful spirit.

Reason: My darkest fic, tonally. I got the idea to turn Danny into a vengeful spirit and immediately decided to push it as far as I could. There's only a couple of chapters up right now, but the tags tell you all you need to know about the direction this fic is going.

The In-Laws

Description: Harriet and her son, Kwan, meet each other's boyfriends through a family dinner. Hopefully, Vlad Masters and Danny Fenton can get along for one meal.

Reason: Because it's fun! This is a very light-hearted, humorous fic, and I had a great time with it. I like to write all kinds of pairings, and this was a great way to explore two I hadn't yet: Vlad and Harriet, and Danny and Kwan. Bad News shippers come get your juice.

Blossoms On Her Tongue

Description: Years after Undergrowth’s attack, Sam’s ghost powers from that day are slowly returning. Sam is excited at first, both at the chance to grow closer with Danny, and the opportunity to use her own powers for good. But things aren’t as great as they seem. After all, plants don't mix well with the cold.

Reason: I can't actually say because that would be a spoiler! But there's a specific dynamic I wanted to explore for the trio and this fic was what came out of it. I've got three parts planned for this series, each one focused on a different member of the trio.

In no particular order:

broken trust and the wounds hidden behind/where the wounds were hidden

Summary: Jack wasn't meaning to snoop in his son's room when he found a box of medical supplies and a USB with a tag that said IF I DON'T COME HOME. Danny’s secrets revealed, Jack is desperate to earn his son’s trust, to earn the right to this secret he stumbled across. After almost two years of unknowingly hunting his son, is Danny's trust too broken to heal?

Reason: this is easily my most popular fic to date, and one I routinely reread. I just really love the idea of Danny's parents figuring it out and trying to support him, and I just love really, really love Jack. Also this one is what "put me on the map" in the phandom, so to speak, and I'll always love it for that. I'm including the tag-along fic with it bc it's not a sequel/is a short addition.

Woken and Bound

Summary: Danny wakes up in chains, Clockwork and the Observants hovering above him. Knowing only one fate could bring them here, he didn’t even fight, just bows his head and waits.

Reason: This one was created off a discussion in the Danny Phantom Discord! It was one of the first real interactions I had with the phandom. The fic is just angsty enough, but the memory of writing it is still fun!

same memory (different perspective)

Summary: It’s just chores, just him cleaning the lab. It’s just a normal day and he’s definitely fine. His fight or flight instinct definitely isn’t screaming at every single atom in himself to run.

Reason: I don't really have an emotional reason tied to this one, surprisingly. It was just a dissec fic I wrote that I ended up really, really enjoying. It's short and to the point, and the point is agony.

Parental Responsiblility

Summary: After a night she’d rather forget, Jack and Maddie are missing, and Jazz has to face her new reality.

Reason: This was the first fic I ever tried to write where I used timeline jumping as a major storytelling method, it was also the first fic wherein I focused on one person's POV, instead of POV hopping. Also my first time writing Jazz POV at all! This is also the fic I consider my most fucked up.

we live our lives like we're ready to die

Summary: DP x Angel: the Series (BTVS) crossover! (Actual short summary because the real summary is long: Wesley and Sam get into a bidding war over an ancient text. Wes needs it for Angel, Sam needs it because Danny is inexplicably drawn to it. Shenanigans!)

Reason: This might just have some "woo-hoo new fic energy!" pushing it up on my faves, but I am genuinely enjoying reading and writing this fic. I never thought I'd do any type of crossover fic, but this is just a blast and a half! Trying to fit the lores together, figure out how these characters will play off of each other and react to each other is a blast! This is the single most self indulgent fic I've ever written and I love it for that.

Angel:

Angel has been a bit less active lately, he’s finally taking a sort of break !! he is working on improving his relationship with Manasses and Brooks.

Brooks:

Brooks has started to become more confident working on his own and has also started trying different forms of stress relief to deal with the constant pressure he’s under.

Habit:

Habit is finally becoming more active again, he also had a front without Angel! that’s a really big step for him.

Manasses:

Manny has been working on redeeming himself for a previous situation and he’s doing very well! he’s also developed his own subspace consisting of some old members!

Lydia:

Lydia is as calm as ever, not much to report except her man has formed in the headspace now.

Jessica:

Jessie is Jessie. she’s slaying. she got a tattoo which i think is pretty cool and she’s finally established her look. it’s a bit fancy, but she deserves to feel fancy.

Victoria:

Vic has been making great progress in the headspace! she’s found a small social group and has even started to accept my boyfriend as part of the family. she still won’t ask Abbey out though.

Ivy:

Ivy is a mother now!!!!!

I:

This robot fuck is still here. it won’t choose a name. beep boop bestie.

Mewtwo:

Twoey has made little progress with his social status, i guess he’s happy with Chris. respectable.

Chris:

Chris had his first front! it was triggered by fear and anger, but he can front! he’s also started to be a bit more open about missing people from source.

Cassidy:

Cassy has done amazing with all the new littles. she struggled a bit at first, especially with Maya, but she’s taken them all in and has made sure they all adjusted well. she’s also getting good at taking a no.

Chi:

Chi has learned to recognise a few words! she can read mommy, daddy, Chi, fox and hello! we’re all very proud of her.

Octavian:

Octi has learned to say sorry for hitting people with his hammer, unless he thinks they deserved it.

Ajax:

Ajax has started socialising more with everyone and is getting really good at communicating when he’s scared instead of disappearing.

Elise:

Elise has started copying people’s swear words. she won’t stop.

Milo:

Milo had his first front! he’s also established a form of communication inside, he draws for us! he also makes pictures for the other littles. very sweet boy

Maya:

Maya has started teaching Elise to swim! she also stopped biting people and instead asks to show her cool teeth.

Danni:

Danni has become more prominent since her sister formed, and is now a caregiver for the littles. she also expressed a willingness to front, just not around anyone.

Meg:

Meg is Meg. she’s Megging. she brings joy.

Freddy:

Freddy has started to work off Manasses, and has helped me through the last few months which have been very bad at home.

Cabadath:

we don’t know if he’s still here. he formed, appeared like twice, and hasn’t been seen since. we feel him though.

Monika:

same as Cabadath

Brom:

Brom has started to become a guardian of sorts, he fronts alongside Manny, Vic, Freddy or Angel to help give me the ability to defend myself without giving in to others.

Gardener:

Scott sometimes hangs out with Chris and Twoey but otherwise is alone. he doesn’t do much.

Buddy:

Buddy is still struggling, he doesn’t like the other littles but he’s spoke to Habit a few times. he also stares a lot at Vic which we suspect is because of how similar the colour of her shirt is to Dave’s costume.

Esther:

Esther has become more tolerant of the littles. she’s also expressed that she misses Ciel.

Zarria:

Zarria has stopped fighting with Angel! she also started a sort of friendship with Nolan.

Mika:

Mika has not calmed down yet. the day may come yet. she’s very excited to meet our cat.

Clef:

Clef. this guy. he developed an fp, went insane for two weeks, drove me to self harm after i was doing really well at staying clean, but it worked out and now he gets to be friends with that fp. he still hangs around front all the time but we did get him to rest a bit. he started using our amulet to calm down and comfort himself.

Nolan:

Nolan has started looking after the younger headmates that aren’t quite littles (Angel, Habit, Zarria etc). he’s also with Lydia. happy for them!

Simon:

Simon looks after Chi almost full time now, and also has a really good friendship with Mika and Ivy! he also helped me beat Raihan in pokemon sword. love this guy.

I've been on an NSP kick for a little bit.

Favorite color: Kelly Green, and teal. Most of my RPG characters are some mix of green, white, and orange.

Last movie/TV show: Watched Clue with my spouse recently, and before that probably the Scott Pilgrim anime?

Sweet/spicy/savory?: Definitely sweet. Mixing a little spicy and savoury is good too, but if I had to pick one it'd be sweet, hands down.

Relationship status: "What if a wife guy wasn't married to a woman and wasn't a guy", the term my friends use is "spousebot". Beep boop.

Last thing I Googled: "Darkspore Resurrection Capsule". There's a game from the early 2010s made by the folks who made Spore that hasn't been playable for a long time, since the servers went down. I go check every once in a while if the effort to spin up a private server has gotten any further.

Current obsession: I'm always at least a little obsessed with Blaseball, though that's def gone down since the end-of-game announcement. Probably Worm at the moment, especially Danny Hebert. I flit between interests a lot, though.
