Part of reckoning thats hard with therianism is conflict of what the sona means/meant. Like... did I design myself?

Personally, I see it as a kind of paleontology. I discover things about myself and update model accordingly. Right now feels solid, but.... who knows?

And as for the other forms - taking cue from one of my beloved, they are sonas still. A kobold with raven and dog fursonas! That also goes a way to explaining why ravens feel like kin but also how kobold seemed to be a ground state for sonas.

I write stories about people and places others create because I truly love these characters. Some of them have stuck with me for years, some I fell in love with before I'd finished whatever media I found them in.

The plot bunnies that are both a blessing and a frustration at times give me a way to try to express that love.

Whether or not I saw a piece of myself in them or wished I had their strength or compassion or general vibe they have meant the world. They give me a place to retreat to when I am sad or overwhelmed or scared, when I feel lost or alone they give me refuge. They are friends I will never meet that were with me without question when I felt I had none, when I was too shy or too weird to fit in with the world around me.

It's hard but I don't want to feel guilty or ashamed anymore, too feel like I will never be good enough, that my words won't be enough.

They have helped me through the years the least I can do try to repay that by showing what they mean to me in one of the ways I know how, maybe I'll find other ways in the future. Even if I'm the only one who ends up reading them starting to think my words are worth sharing

I think the best advice I ever got to stop myself from getting in my head over issues i was having with a partner/friend was “Are you deciding on ultimatums in your relationship without the other persons knowledge or consent? Are you having conversations in your head where the other party is a projection you supply the responses for? If so; you have done this person a huge disservice in not allowing them to answer on their own terms. You have done so much architecture around this problem in your mind that is impenetrable for anyone who was not there when it was being built.”

That shit really changed my life and honestly? I think made me a nicer person to be around.

Columbo and the Knight (1984)

put me in the universe where Columbo ran through the 1980s and had a crossover episode with Knight Rider. I think they deserved it, and I am not just saying that because they're my two favorite Old Shows. @telebeast wrote a little fanfic blurb about it and I HAD to visualize it into a comic (which is also the longest comic I have finished thus far at five pages...), so writing credit goes to them.
