Blaming Silco for Felicia’s death imo is more of an underline as to why Vander was a very flawed character/revolutionary leader and not why Silco was inherently evil. Everyone showed up to fight, where it seems like Vander was the sole survivor and everyone else was shot/ran. That is the reality of resistance, you don’t know going in when the switch is going to flip and when shots get fired. Silco didn’t shoot Felicia and Connol. Enforcers did. Vi and Vander both say verbatim that they were killed by enforcers, I know that one scene implies Silco feels guilty and Vander blamed him for escalating by tossing a Molotov cocktail, but I need you all to be so for real with yourselves about how shooting a bridge full of protestors is also an extreme retaliation and sit with why blaming Silco or Vander, and them blaming eachother/themselves, is wrong. Why feeling guilty and personal responsibility for a violent system comfortable with executing civilians in the street cant really rest on either of their shoulders. And that blaming Slco for their deaths is very centrist lib of you and I won’t stand for it.

There’s a big BANG and the noises of an explosion

A very finest voice after, in the distance. The one, the only, Ponyboy.

“….oops?”

There’s the footsteps and shuffling around of 2 other boys, silence, in awe.

Soda and Steve both looked at each other, before looking at Ponyboy and Curly. They hadn't realized the two had made their way back into the DX, until they ruined their stealth with the large explosion.

“Ponyboy, what did you do?!” Soda hollered, straightening up and putting on a big voice.

“Nothin'! Don't worry about it!” Ponyboy hollered back, before swearing quietly and mumbling something to Curly.

Soda grumbled getting up and jumping from behind the counter. Steve flinched back as to not get kicked.

“If you broke anything, that's extra chores, mister!”

“Whaaaat?! Soda! Don't you care about me and love me?!” Ponyboy whined, begging Soda as he approached them.

“Sure do. But ya better clean up the mess before I lay it on ya.” Soda put his hands on his hips and huffed.

Ponyboy stood there with a frown, before Soda winked at him— it wasn't noticable to the other two boys, but Pony caught it. And he smiled.

Soda still kept a firm expression, brows furrowed and chest puffed. “Clean it up, will ya?”

Ponyboy sighed dramatically, before turning around to the mess. “Yes, big brother...” He played into the theatrics, pouting and crossing his arms.

Soda laughed as he walked off, shaking his head. Steve just raised an eyebrow at him.

“What'd he do?”

“They thought it'd be funny to pop some chip bags at the same time. Mess everywhere.” He was still laughing to himself, sitting back on the stool.

Steve breathed out a laugh, slightly surprised. “Ponyboy's becoming just like you, y'know that?”

Soda hummed happily, resting his head on the counter. “Yeah... I'm alright with that. He's doing it better than I did.”

He could hear Ponyboy grabbing cleaning supplies out of the closet, as he walked off with a broom and pan to clean up the crumbs and mess.

Y'know this little throwaway gag is so bizarre to me and I know this game is a bit very different to 2 and 3 but look at Matt's reaction when Jack raids the place in 3:

You'd argue he's simply stopping Jack bc he hates this guy and he also hates this job which Could Be True but i highly doubt bc overall despite his virginity and overall cursed vibe, Matt seems to be a good employee, by all means (I mean, Peter literally gave him a vacation instead of firing him in 2, so that says a lot).

Plus, Dave hates this guy as much as he hates him! He literally always calls him creepy and, AND!

This is the only footage you get of the prize corner in 2. Which is also the first game to show Matt and Dave's disdain for one another, Dave being likely more scared of Matt than Matt will ever be of him.

Which is all very curious. 2 does set a drastic change for Matt too with him going from being just strange to outright creepy, so was the old pizza place closing something that actually affected him or was he consistently that creepy all along? And if the later, did he just start hating Dave after that or did they always have beef and they simply had some sort of arrangement (or even higher word from Steven who tended to let Dave do whatever he wanted in general) that let him do so?

Following up on this and this:

Later on, when the big book is over (Manon enjoyed it to the point where she listened to Dorian read it every single night. She got so into it to the point where she’d just fall asleep while Dorian read it but he wasn’t too fond of that because the book is quite creepy and he didn’t want her to have nightmares because of that so he didn’t want this to be the last thing she did before falling asleep)

Anyway! After finishing the book Manon discovered that she missed their little activity. She is still not reading, she’s just addicted to Dorian reading out loud for her and that was another thing she didn’t want to deal with but she just went with it.

A few days later, she was home by herself, Dorian had texted that he will be a little late that evening. Taking the chance, she looked through the massive library, her eyes scanning all the different spines and examining all the different book covers.

She settled on a book that looked interesting. Now, she still has a very hard time expressing her feelings and she’s so grateful that Dorian just seems to understand her even when she doesn’t say much.

With that thought in mind, she pulled the book out and went up to their bedroom. She placed the book on Dorian’s side of the bed for him to find when he returned. Also, Manon being Manon, she’s a mix of both awkward and shy when it comes to these things so she just… disappeared in the office and got busy with work because she doesn’t want to talk about it. She’s still not interested in these books, she just likes hearing Dorian’s voice and this is one way for her to do this.

Dorian was a little surprised when he saw a book on his pillow. He doesn’t recall taking it out of the library and even if he did he wouldn’t place it there. Then he realized that it’s probably Manon who did it.

He couldn’t help a small smile snaking up his lips at realizing what her action meant. He also wasn’t going to bring it up. He knows that it’s hard for her and she’s letting him know these things subtly.

So he let it be. In turn, Manon took to the habit of picking out a book and discreetly telling Dorian that this was what she wanted to read next. And he’s always happy to oblige.
