So excited you’ve posted a new ER fic, and with a teaser for more to come! 🎉🎉🎉

Since it’s been awhile, maybe I poke your brain on what your thoughts on the DLC are (game play, lord, sceneries, anything you’d like to share with us really)? Has it changed your headcanon on any of the characters, or did you find ways to incorporate the new lores into your interpretations? Most importantly, did you have fun?

*tagged for spoilers but just in case - spoilers •‿•*

Did I enjoy it? YES. Did I have qualms with some gameplay bits? YES but I’m a filthy casual on NG+2 or something and generally Not Good at Game. But I beat it.

As for lore, it’s really a mixed bag. There’s a ton of stuff I’m delighted to have new or expanded lore for - Marika’s origins, Belurat and the entirety of Hornsent culture, Godwyn’s Death Knights, BAYLE???? VILE BAYLE!!!! etc etc (sometimes I listen to Igon’s voice lines just to psych myself up for real life). There are things I need to adjust my headcanon for a little, as well - St Trina, for example, has always been a facet of Miquella himself to me, a sort of alter ego he willingly takes on, which is how I enjoyed writing her in fic. To have her elaborated here as a separate person means taking that a little further if I write him/her/them again, but I think the parallel it draws between Marika/Radagon is hugely interesting as well.

iirc there are a couple of instances in the base game where lore almost contradicts itself, but I think in some cases the DLC got a little sloppy. The timeline is also way foggier to me now than it was previously. I was a big fan of the idea that Messmer was entirely unknown to his siblings, written out of history after the Crusade (predating Marika ushering in the Golden Age of the Erdtree), but that contradicts the lore we get on Gaius and Radahn as they’re both personally acquainted with Messmer, and makes me wonder which of the other demigods might’ve been aware of him, and under what pretences might they have met. It makes for a lot of fic ideation, but I’m of the opinion that if you’re writing fic, sticking too closely to (the sometimes unhelpful) lore will stultify the work; so I’m trying to pluck little instances of new lore that interest me to bolster the story I want to tell.

Like most of the fandom I have a huge beef with Promised Consort Radahn, and I’m still struggling with how to work that into my headcanon. To me, there is simply no reason for it. There are no indications of it in the base game, and you have to tie yourself into continuity knots for it to make any sense - and that’s just bad writing. I’m not against retconning things if they serve a purpose, but this was neither useful nor necessary (nor well done), and that’s fundamentally disappointing for a Fromsoft game. The more people aggressively try and justify it, the more I feel like the potential explanations unravel. If we’re going along with the assumption that Miquella *needs* a lord to ascend, we’ve had Candidate #1 since the base game: Godwyn. Half of what we know about base-game Miquella is that he spent time and resources trying to grant Godwyn some form of peace, while his hideous fate hangs over the narrative in perpetuity. And we give Radahn closure literally in the first act of the game. I’m a firm believer in Miquella knowing 100% what he’s about, but in this singular instance blinded by love for Godwyn and an all-consuming desire to *fix this* by resurrecting some nightmarish, malformed version of him. There’s so much juicy story to be told in Miquella refusing to acknowledge the thing he brought back is not his brother, and for all that godhood and remaking the world into utter passivity can do, it can’t retrieve Godwyn’s irretrievable soul. All that to say, I’d even take Malenia as his promised consort - it would made more sense than Radahn, too.

Anyway tldr I don’t have to think about how disappointing that is now, because the fic I’m working on is around Marika’s ascension, and more specifically Messmer and Melina’s upbringing. There’s another on the backburner but I’m on the fence about it since it hasn’t reached an outline stage yet, and I don’t start anything unless I am 100% sure I know how to finish it, and finish it well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Ty for the ask! As is the case with me, the rest of my musings on the lore come through in fic writing, because those are the texts dumps I’m good at. Here’s a little (young) Melina and Messmer wip as thanks.

Punctuating interrupted dialogue

Talking with some folks on Discord, I realised we were all doubtful about how to use punctuation on interrupted dialogue. So I looked up some articles online and I compiled the information to share with them, and then I figured I might as well post them here, too.

So here you go! Ideas on how to punctuate interrupted dialogue. Remember that most of these are stylistic choices and there are no hard and fast rules in fiction writing.

Character stutters

This is the only case where you’d use a hyphen ( - ) Examples: “I-I don’t know.” “I didn’t think sh-she’d do s-s-something like that.”

Character is interrupted by someone else or cuts themselves off abruptly

Use an em dash inside the quotation marks. E.g: “You know, I was thinking that—” “What are you—”

If it’s a question but it isn’t obvious by the sentence structure, you can add a question mark after the em dash, but try to avoid it. E.g: “I’m not sure—?”

Avoid adding dialogue tags after it. E.g: Don't: “I’m not sure—,” she said.

If you’re adding an action beat after it, capitalize the next word, because it’s the start of a new sentence. E.g: “Look over there—” She snapped her mouth shut.

If instead you’re following with a dialogue tag, leave it lowercase, because it’s a continuation of the previous sentence. E.g: “Look over there—” she started to ask, but a sharp look cut her off.

Character continues speaking after being interrupted

When a character is interrupted by another, but then continues speaking, you can start the second half with an em dash and keep the first word lowercase. E.g: “At the end of the day—” “But I’m worried about now!” “—it won’t matter.”

Character trails off

Use an ellipsis to signify your character trailing off as if losing their train of thought or drifting off to sleep, not something or someone else interrupting their words. E.g: “He was…” “Was what?”

This interruption is less abrupt and less intense than an em dash interruption. Avoid adding dialogue tags after the ellipsis. E.g: Don’t: “This is weird …,” she said.

Using dialogue tags with or without action beats or descriptions

If you're using a speech verb (said, whispered, shouted, etc.) as a dialogue tag, punctuate it as normal: a comma before the closing quotation mark. E.g: “Look over there,” Jane said.

If you use an action beat, add it after the dialogue tag as a modifier, following a comma. Another comma is used to lead into the second half of the dialogue. Since it's all one sentence, the second bit of dialogue is not capitalized. E.g: “Look over there,” she said, pointing to the corner, “over by the bookshelves.”

Only capitalize if you're breaking the dialogue into two separate sentences. This is a different speech pattern, so choose what works best for the situation. E.g: "Look over there," she said, pointing to the corner. "By the bookshelves."

Action beats or description in the middle of a sentence

Use em dashes outside the quotation marks, wrapping the action beat or description. E.g: “Look over there” —she pointed to the corner— “by the bookshelves.”

This applies only to action beats or descriptions without a dialogue tag/speech verb; otherwise, use the normal punctuation for dialogue tags mentioned before.

Character changes thought mid-speech

When the character very suddenly changes thoughts while speaking, you can use em dashes. E.g: “I can’t believe you—ugh, I’m just so—you betrayed me!”

For a less abrupt interruption, where there are pauses between the different thoughts, you can use an ellipsis. E.g: “I love it when … he’s just so … he’s cute!”

You can also capitalize the fragments as new sentences. This is merely a style choice. The capitals denote new sentences, but the difference between the above two examples is so subtle for the reader that you can simply choose what you prefer. E.g: “I love it when … He’s just so … He’s cute!”

this is an independent roleplay ask blog (wow that’s a mouthful) .

i close my inbox when it gets to 30 asks so i can get through them quicker and reopen asks quicker.

vox has an editor (me) who manages half of the blog and writes out his responses to send out. vox knows he’s speaking with the living world but doesn’t know he’s in the show called ‘hazbin hotel.’

⭑ CRITICISM.

i answer a lot of asks in the day meaning i’ll likely make typos so do be kind if you spot them! i will only be taking constructive criticism into consideration. this blog is my very first shot at roleplaying so apologies if there are any issues!

⭑ PORTRAYAL.

vox will be portrayed as i see fit. he can be professional, compliant and even kind to asks that don’t provoke him. inversely, he can be crass, loud and outright evil to those who do, but please remember to separate me from the character.

⭑ ASK RULES.

NSFW is okay on my blog, seeing as vox is also quite open to the idea. excessively troll / low effort asks (e.g. i have had TONS of asks just saying ‘bald’) will be ignored as it does take time and energy out of me to tap into the character’s voice when i answer these.

this one’s specific and it is actually the reason i had to do a heavy update on my guidelines, but; i have had people come into my inbox saying they take pleasure in indulging in the following : dr*gs, m*rder, ab*se, s*icide, sh, and more along these lines. asks like these aren’t allowed unless you’re clearly joking or using it as an expression. however, merely mentioning these topics IS allowed. i understand some people will still not be comfortable seeing it being used as such, but as someone who’s had experience in the last three topics listed, i’m not easily fazed and do not wish to censor this blog too much. here are some examples of what i do not allow :

asks with harmful phrases such as ‘k*ll yourself’ will be deleted, same goes with other phrases of a similar vein.

if you are stickler for canon, in all technicality, vox probably wouldn’t condone asks like these either to keep him and his brand highly professional / lighthearted to put others at ease.

the rest is only the obvious : i will not condone homophobia and racism, and will not be entertaining asks over political views.

however, if you are suffering from s*icidal thoughts or sh and you cannot refrain from sending me an ask about it, please at the very least provide me a way to contact you in private so as to not trouble others viewing this blog.

Takanashi Tsumugi: Thank you for your hard work. I might arrive a little late for today’s drama shoot due to another engagement…!

Takanashi Tsumugi: I look forward to greeting you as soon as I arrive, thank you very much.

Yuki: Thank you for going out of your way

Yuki: Please accept the pen case from Okarin

Takanashi Tsumugi: Understood. I apologize for the inconvenience...!

Yuki: Be careful on your way here

Yuki: We're currently shooting a scene with Yamato-kun and Minami-kun.

Takanashi Tsumugi: The scene where the two rookie detectives chase after the escaping criminal, right...!

Yuki: That’s right. They’re rivals, they don’t get along, so they pin the blame on each other and say “it’s your fault he ran away” as they chase after him.

Yuki: It's a comical but tense scene, so it's quite challenging.

Yuki: It’s supposed to be the gripping opening scene for the drama, so the director’s being particular about it and they had to reshoot many times.

CHOICE:

1) How is Yamato-san doing?

Yuki: The scene involves a lot of running so it’s tough, but he's doing his best. He actively listens to what the director has to say to understand his intentions.

2) How is Natsume-san doing?

Yuki: His delicate facial expressions are excellent. Looks like the experience he’s built up since he was a child actor is seeping into his acting.

3) What did you two chat about?

Yuki: We talked about grabbing dinner after the shoot. Apparently there’s a delicious shop nearby that sells tomato ramen.

Yuki: It’s cool outside, but the sun is blazing, so it must be difficult to run.

Yuki: They were playing in the park earlier, aren’t they tough?

Takanashi Tsumugi: They were playing during your break?

Yuki: That's right.

Yuki: They were playing "Red light Green light" with the child actors.

Takanashi Tsumugi: How nostalgic...! I used to play it a lot when I was little!

Yuki: It had been a long time for me as well

Yuki: I was sweating bullets when they asked me to play tag at first

Takanashi Tsumugi: You managed to avoid it! LOL

Yuki: Yup. Minami-kun must have sensed it and suggested playing "Red light Green light"

Yuki: I started to see a halo shining around him

Takanashi Tsumugi:

Yuki: Just standing in the shade of a tree was good enough for me. He saved my butt

Takanashi Tsumugi: Yuki-san, were you "it" by any chance?

Yuki: You figured it out fast

Takanashi Tsumugi: You don’t have to move much when you’re “it”, so I thought it might be the case...!

Yuki: As expected of Maneko-chan ^^

Yuki: Yamato-kun likes to save his energy and stands still every time, so I kept it entertaining by changing the speed and specifying poses on purpose.

Takanashi Tsumugi: What kind of poses did you instruct?

Yuki: A banana pose for example, while raising both hands diagonally

Yuki: It was a great hit with the kids ^^

Yuki: Yamato-kun is pretty good at handling children. He approached those who were left out and generally was a good big bro

Takanashi Tsumugi: He often plays with little kids on other sets as well.

Takanashi Tsumugi: One time a child who co-starred with him cried at the end of a shoot because they wanted to play with him more...

Takanashi Tsumugi: He tried to reassure them by inviting them to play again... but Yamato-san seemed lonely as well…><

Yuki: Then he might feel lonely today too. They were attached to him and even held hands while playing

I’m the biggest fan of that blog and the artist so the crossover would make me so happy 🙏🙏

If you’re not comfortable with the request then I understand!

So, I had never heard of that blog, now I feel stupid for not having known about it before🙈I had to do some research to understand what you meant and in addition to admiring the ideas and drawings of the blog in question, I hope I understood their version of Azrael well enough, since I didn't find much about his character😖I hope it's not too OOC😭

Furthermore, I also hope that the request doesn't make Azrael's creator uncomfortable, since I don't know them, so to be safe, even if I'm not sure if they're still active, I'll tag them ( @obey-me-angel-bros by simply-yulia), to specify this Azrael is their version. Now let's start with the ask:

"RAD CLASSMATES WITH A MC THAT LOOKS AND ACTS LIKE AZRAEL FROM OBEY-ME-ANGEL-BROS BLOG"

DEMYA

To be clear, as long as MC gives Demya her freedom, isn't intimidated by her feral side, and lets her eat to her heart's content, then MC could be the scariest being in all of Devildom and Demya would still cling to them, nuzzling against their arm and tagging them along around for shopping. Demya, not really having an opinion about celestial beings, would find MC's appearance to be quite ethereal, however she would prefer to see MC without bangs if they're comfortable enough, because in Demya's opinion, mates should accept each other and show their true self, both good and bad, for example MC with their several eyes in full view with Demya with blood dripping from her mouth. Demya might initially tease MC in a witty way for their quiet and hardworking nature, it's also likely that every now and then she would try to drag MC into some reckless adventures to make them loosen up, much to their dismay. As for the paintings, Demya would be interested and would even model without any problem for MC, albeit sometimes in dirty poses, just to see their reaction. Demya would also get a lot of fresh red paint just for MC (don't ask where she got it, it's as bad as you think-)

DOMNRA/MOBIM

The angelic appearance might initially destabilize Domnra a little, because it would remind him of his days as a soldier in the celestial army, so it would take some time for him to get used to MC's presence (nothing personal, even with Simeon and Raphael was like that-). Domnra would understand the reason behind MC's act of covering their eyes, since he has a quiff, the only difference is that Domnra does it because he is blind from that covered eye, in fact in a rare joking or sarcastic moment, he would ask MC to lend him a working one. MC's calm nature would be a balm for Domnra's often mad soul, so listening to some music while they draw would be ideal, or even training (the idea of being drawn in that context would embarrass Domnra). Mobim would at first be intimidated by MC's appearance, but sensing their good intentions, the little curse would come out of its shell and sit on their lap or shoulder while they paint, even dozing off sometimes

AZUL

Fortunately (or unfortunately, since it can result in a big headache-) Azul is quite a charismatic conversationalist, so despite MC's awkward attitude, he would do his best to engage them in conversation and get them to talk more freely about their interests, especially because they both have a passion for art. Azul wouldn't show it outwardly, even if his colors would betray his true thoughts, however having an MC that reminds him of his past as an angel would disturb him quite a bit, at least at first, given how badly he had coped with his fall from the Celestial Realm. When Azul was an angel, he didn't have ordinary wings, but rather butterfly wings that he was proud of and that he misses terribly sometimes, so if MC made a portrait of him at that time, it would be one of those few times in which Azul would cry quietly. During some of his mood swings, Azul might let out a few jokes, like comparing himself to a butterfly that fell into the spider's web stretched by MC, as a metaphor for their fall in love (corny, I know-). Azul would also return any paintings by making some himself, with MC represented with their eyes in plain sight, since Azul considers them part of MC, therefore beautiful. MC's gentle presence would help Azul stay calmer and avoid his mood swings

ZURI

Even Zuri, like her other two fallen angel friends, would be a little hesitant to interact with an MC who reminds her of her past as an angel, however she would be much more mature and professional about the situation and would quickly get used to the idea. Zuri would appreciate MC's calm nature and wouldn't be bothered by their awkwardness, since she would be perfectly able to speak on behalf of both of them (basically: they asked for no pickles-). Noting that to hide their different eyes MC seems to be uncomfortable sometimes, as if they would prefer to keep them uncovered, Zuri would propose to build some tailor-made masks to make their life easier and more comfortable in general, she would also recommend being careful not to get dirty with paint during their paintings, even if Zuri would take care of arranging and possibly modifying their clothes in the end

ODON

Odon would be intrigued by this version of MC, especially because they would notice similarities in their hair style, however the reason why MC does it seems to be to not make others uncomfortable or out of shyness, while Odon does it for the mental health of others' sake and to prevent them from dying in a atrocious existential suffering, the only way for Odon to be seen without bangs would be to shapeshift their face into something more bearable. Considering their past, Odon would be surprised that they caught MC's attention, pure as they are, but they wouldn't complain. Odon in demon form has several arms and several eye-like creatures fluttering around them, so some might jokingly compare Odon to a spider. Odon and MC could spend a lot of time in a cozy silence without getting bored, while MC draws and Odon sips a cup of tea reading a book, even out loud, if upon request. Besides, Odon is a bottomless well of knowledge, so if MC ever needs inspiration for new painting ideas, they can ask Odon

I’ve seen a lot of discourse lately about the newer parts of this (and other) fandoms. Some of it is just calling out people for bad behavior, but some of it seems downright hostile to people just for being new, and that seems unfair to me. Anyone who is being a dick to others should ABSOLUTELY be dragged for that, whether they’ve been around for 6 months or 6 years. Common decency should be the baseline.

But we can’t control when we became aware of a fandom, or when a new world was opened up to us. And trying to lock people out, devalue their opinions, or refuse to engage with them at all simply because you were here first is just mean.

For example, I was obsessed with My Little Pony back when I watched The Glass Princess (1986) on VHS multiple times a day. But it’s been a long time since then, and while Friendship is Magic is not the same, I don’t begrudge anyone loving it and I don’t think I would be a more important fan or that my opinions would be more valid just because cause I loved it before a newer fan did, especially because I am (probably much) older than a lot of those fans. I only got there first because I was born first and my mom bought that tape. This isn’t exactly the same as some of you because I’m not into MLP any more, but my daughter’s starting to love it, and I’m not going to keep her from watching the new stuff just because it isn’t the old stuff.

I was only 5 when GO was published, so of course there are people who read it and fell in love with it before I did, because I was a child and didn’t know it existed. I didn’t know about a lot of things- I didn’t know anything about Star Wars, Star Trek, LOTR, etc. until college because my parents didn’t let me. I only learned about Rocky Horror, Eddie Izzard, RENT, Queer as Folk, etc. because of the people I met in Creative Writing and drama club in high school, because they had been given access to those things and shared them with me. Drag Race was several years old before someone introduced me to that.

I am relatively new to this fandom, even though I did read the book many years before the show came out. I didn’t even know there was going to be a show until suddenly there was, and I loved S1, but circumstances in my life kept me from becoming obsessed. I also had no idea S2 was coming until right before it came out, and by then I was in a place where the brain rot was able to take hold. I thought Tumblr was like Tindr until around then as well, and I had no idea AO3 even existed. No one else I known IRL knows what these things are either, except for what I’ve told them. I don’t think my participation in this fandom should be any less valid just because I didn’t have access to it before now.

I have dived into this fandom headfirst and unabashedly. I still don’t understand all of how Tumblr and AO3 work, but now that I’m here, I participate as much as I can (sometimes I don’t respond to those tagging posts because I haven’t figured it out yet). I post on Tumblr when I think I have something to say, and try to boost others who say things I think might enrich someone else’s life too. I devour fanfic on a daily basis, leaving kudos and comments and recommending anything I’ve liked to anyone who will listen because I want to support the amazing artists in this community and spread the happiness they’ve brought to me. I try to engage with anyone who engages with me, and I’d like to think I’ve been respectful to you all (but I know I can be blunt too, so if ever I am a twat waffle, feel free to drag my ass for that).

I guess my bottom line is, while I’ve mostly felt very safe, loved, and accepted jn this fandom, the anti-newbie discourse is disheartening. I will absolutely join you in blasting anyone who chooses to be an asshole, but I’m never going to support the unnecessary gatekeeping. I don’t think Aziraphale, Crowley, Michael, David, Terry, or Neil would either.

The Trouble with Home Tours - ESO U43

TL;DR: A description field alone would solve a lot of problems. With the other sub-features, it could've been great.

Intro:

I admire the project this is based on: EHT Housing Hub. Due to clues in datamines and because EHT's creator was hired to work for ZOS (he was on the reveal stream), some of us suspected for months that Home Tours would be the new feature in Update 43. It was not a surprise.

The disappointment is not about what it is. It's not that "we already have an addon" (the feature could've been better for all of us, PC and console alike).

It's that I hoped it would come with more utility and improvements on EHT's Housing Hub,

rather than being an extremely "lite" version. I actually don't use HH much due to UI and UX; official implementation could improve these.

For now, I’m not looking forward to Home Tours. I don’t want to share nor tour builds if there’s no way to share the description or POI.

Feedback:

1. Descriptions:

Anyone who's done housing events knows that descriptions are crucial, both for explaining the build's story and visitor tips/directions.

Two things make me want to visit a build:

HT has neither; tags don't suffice. It will be a mess when there are thousands of listings.

Example from EHT Housing Hub: Hovering over a home in EHT shows the description. Home Tours could improve upon this UI and make it fit the game's aesthetics.

Also with EHT, players can put a custom book containing the house description. This would be a great sub-feature to bring in, keeping things in-game rather than in UI.

I don't like to use EHT effects: they don't match the in-game aesthetics/UI, show through other objects, and not everyone has them enabled. Official implementation could improve this.

1.5 Weather Control:

Worth mentioning weather control again since it shows up a ton in descriptions: "Please visit in sunny weather or lights don't work!" etc. Dark, low-contrast rain & lightning flashing are physically painful and annoying as a builder, but it's bad for streamers or judges too: they don't have time to wait around for the right conditions or return when it's finally sunny again if they have 50 others to visit.

2. House Nicknames:

Disappointed that titles are not showcase-specific.

I use nicknames with BMU to organize my houses for easy travel. (I constantly change the numbers, so if I'm actively working on a house it might be 00 or 01.)

But I don't want my "Teahouse for Azandar" to show up as "04 ATHFA" for visitors... or worse thanks to the character limit:

3. Point of Interest markers:

Descriptions could be shorter if we could place graphical POI markers, with an option to add short flavor text that would show on interaction. (No slot wasting: these should not be furnishings. Should be able to show/hide so they don't clash with the visuals.)

Again, style doesn't match and these show through walls and objects. Official implementation could improve upon EHT.

I started making graphics like this to help visitors. The above in-game features would be better.

Since I couldn't include a graphic in-game, and without descriptions (and because of the EHT copy-paste issue!) I’d rather not use the House Tours feature for now. Discord, Reddit, Youtube, etc. are all better ways to find housing inspiration and community.

From the outside, it appears like there may have been hurdles that tied devs' hands, preventing something more feature-rich.

I know others are disappointed it's not one of many other oft-requested features. But since this is what we got, I hope others will ask for these improvements as well, and that the devs can keep working and expanding on it.

I know you made a post of AFO giving the Shie Hassaikai secondary Quirks, which was honestly really good tbh. Have you done this for 1A, 1B, Teachers, LOV, MLA, or other groups? I can't seem to find them. If there's any I mentioned you haven't done, just whatever is first in that list is my idea/request/suggestion for a post.

First off, thank you. I’m glad you liked my choices for that. Second, I haven’t done any other ones, except for the LOV, so I can talk about this idea with a few other characters. Though I will be starting with 1A for this one.

Sato-Springlike Limbs: Since none of the Quirks can really help Sato, might as well double down by increasing his striking power and at least augmenting his lackluster mobility.

Hagakure-Storage: This is basically just giving everyone invisibility. Hagakure can sneak in wherever she wants and suddenly pull out an entire force of heroes, seemingly from nowhere. It is both effective and hilarious.

Mineta-Wings: While Mineta can bounce around on his own, some flight would still be useful. It could help him scatter his orbs across an area, get in a good position to trap someone with them, or let him escape a bad situation.

Aoyama-Infrared: I was tempted to give him "Air Walk" like Lady Nagant, but I think Aoyama needs all the help he can get with his shots. Plus, by seeing people through surfaces, he could hit them more regularly by shooting without line of sight.

Koda-Warping: With how many animal allies Koda either has or needs around him, a Quirk that can let him either get animals to him faster or keep the animals he has out of harm's way would do a lot to help him.

Sero-Hypertrophy: While this could help Sero’s poor defense and offense, I mostly gave it to him to combine it with "Tape". Because I could imagine him making this massive, super dense version of his own tape with this Quirk in play.

Kirishima-Absorb and Release: Considering that Kirishima’s main gimmick is taking as much damage as possible, being hit by the attack shouldn’t be that bad. In return, he can blast back whatever is coming at him for extra damage.

Mina-Air Cannon: Arguably Mina’s greatest weakness is her poor range. With "Air Cannon", she could use that to make and then launch her acid. It could even work to further shape and modify the acid, like making an acid orb.

Tenya-Search: This doesn’t really have any combination potential, but I do think that it would mix well with his natural speed and logistical skills. He could just run around tagging whomever he needs for later, whether they are friend or foe.

Tokoyami-Naval Laser: The second most obvious pick. Not only would this give Tokoyami a reliable means to tame Dark Shadow, but it also gives him some much-needed self-sufficiency as a fighter for when Dark Shadow can’t help him.

Tsuyu-Air Walk: I kind of went over an example like this before, but I believe that this could work really well with Tsuyu’s natural jumping abilities. By making a platform anywhere to bounce off of, she could basically become another Gran Torino.

Denki-Rivet Stab: Using "Rivet Stab" as a medium, this could actually give Denki a lot more control over his electricity and how it is shaped and moves. That and they could give him minor benefits to his mobility, which is definitely his most notable weakness.

Ojiro-Overclock: This may seem odd, but I actually think that Ojiro is the best choice for this power. Between his natural athleticism and high discipline, I think that he could apply it really well, especially when it’s used in tandem with the benefits he gets from his tail.

Jiro-Radio Waves: This just fits in too well with "Earphone Jack". I could see her combing the waves with her jacks, giving her some electrical power to her sound waves, letting her send out messages to her allies communications, or causing nearby radios to stop working.

Ochako-Shoulder-Mounted Jets: It may seem odd to give her flight, but I do think it would keep her from needing to use her power on herself, circumventing a lot of the problems that would come with that. It’s even better since she could push her zero gravity objects around more easily.

Shoji-Shapeshifting Arms: This matchup is too perfect to skip out on. I want you to think about all the arms that Shoji can make. Now I want you to imagine all of them be able to shapeshift into any number of forms and appendages, each of which could be enhanced by "Dupli Arms".

Izuku-Super Regeneration: This is probably the most obvious pairing. If Izuku keeps destroying his body, just make it so he can grow back whatever damage he goes through. It’s basically what happened with Eri, just going at full blast without any real, long lasting consequences.

Momo-Tool Arms: While this does give Momo a more combat focused ability and let her use tools without burning through her fat reserves, I’m honestly more curious about the kinds of combinations she could pull off with it and "Creation", like building up new additions for the arms.

Bakugou-Shock Absorption: Not only does this offer Bakugou some much-needed defense, it pretty much makes his main drawback a non-issue. If this can take hits from All Might, some kickback from Bakugou’s explosions shouldn’t be an issue, even some of the stronger ones.

Shoto-Impact Recoil: This is again to cover up a student’s biggest weakness, in this case being Shoto’s poor personal defense and lacking in close range. This solves both problems and could have some interesting combinations with his heat powers, like turning the kinetic impact into a freezing attack.

i find it really frustrating you being so negative (by calling out drama on your page all the time, you post about your tapes with the hashtag void success and with that, your other asks too, all i see is your posts on the void success tag so there’s absolutely no useful info for me to grasp bc i follow you, i already keep up with your posts and don’t need to see it under the void success tag

so it would be helpful if you could stop using void success tag for posts that has nothing to do with “void success”

if you will stop talking about the hate, believe it or not, they will move on. The noise will die down, they are not obsessed with you to keep talking about you all day and night. If you can remove yourself from the situation (look at it through bird’s eye view)

you’ll actually see how that blog has let no wrong doings slide in the community ever since they got active.

Rosie left bc she kept lying to our faces all the time. Fleur who i genuinely think was a kind person also had some sort of talk going on, on that page but do you think she continued to talk about it over and over again on her page? no. She continued to help people, continued to get success stories on her page (which you are too, congrats on that)

Charm too cleared the air ONCE, when she was involved in drama, she moved on to do the same thing like fleur

charm had spoken up against unique and she left too (moonlight page didn’t exist then)

so you need to see that speaking up against wrong is important. That’s why they do what they do.

Why they talk about you even when you know you’re not doing anything wrong and only want to help:

People can’t afford your tapes and no one wants to shell out money when there are ample of resources out for free

Examples: pink purchased a custom void sub TWICE for us, with nothing to gain.

junfairykyu purchased a custom void sub and shared it with everyone, with nothing to gain.

konnie made a void sub with really good benefits for free (someone entered the void with it too)

i get that you also come across people who ask for too much, that are plain rude but to continue addressing them on your blog (yeah, tiring) we get that you had to deal w some terrible people but address it once and move on? why mention it in every other post.

(cause not everyone is greedy asking for more and more things from you, some simply follow you for advice, your personal experiences with the law and so on and so forth)

you somewhat sound arrogant when you speak with so much confidence, (some (not i) might use the word cocky too) and of course i’m not asking you to do anything about it,

i was reading your long post again…the one inspired by mommy kink.. and in it you switch between ‘she’ n ‘it’ freely. so for example.. sometimes reader will be ‘hers’ but other times reader is ‘its’. or sometimes you’ll say ‘her hand’ and others you’ll say ‘its face’ etc.

Because yes, me switching between her/she and it is on purpose for multiple reasons.

As yall know, I see Maggot Momma as animalistic, feral being which acts on instincts more than anything else, is driven by them. Her deceased, rotten brain is just wired differently (meaning: she thinks her precious Drama Queen was meant for her and they belong together and she wants to climb into them and she thinks a certain someone is just as besotted with her as she is with them and-) and whenever I wanna show what´s going on in that rotten brain of hers, I use she/her. Basically Maggot Momma´s POV.

Now, imagine finding yourself in that situation - being hunted down, clawed at, sniffed at, licked like a lollipop, smothered, used as a humping pillow and-

(Doesn´t sound so bad though, does it? 🙈)

And all of that happens all day, every day and It looks like the walking dead and limbs get sent flying on a regular basis and there´s always this fear that It might just get tired of you after all and any day could be your last because you have no idea what´s going on in that rotten brain.

So, whenever I use "it" that means the story is being told from a certain someone´s POV.

Switching between "she/her" and "it" is basically me trying to show and clarify that there´s a distance - physical and emotional (more so emotional though cause Momma does as she damn well pleases and personal space wha-?) - between Maggot Momma and a certain someone. Because we have to remember that, while you as a reader do know what´s going on in Momma´s brain, they don´t.

When I write I focus mostly on the animalistic, unhinged nature of Maggot Momma and how someone would, realistically, react to that. So me using "it" means I want to stress that feral nature of hers.

Also, I rarely use actual conversation in my posts, as you might have noticed. What I do instead is trying to describe a situation as you would experience it yourself. Always keeping in mind that Maggot Momma and a certain someone have quite the different mindsets...

Hey apologies for the random ask but I’ve been seeing the tag “no beta we die like men” for so long now & ur tags reminded me that after like 6 years I still have no idea what a beta writer does? I think your an excellent writer & I know you’ve had beta writers before so I was wondering if you could explain what it is? Sorry if it seems like I’m using u as Google but Google isn’t great for explaining fandom things 🙃

Hi, anon, well, a beta writer in the simplest terms is essentially a buddy who reads your work and gives you feedback. They can be different things to different people.

For example, especially in fandom, some might simply want the reader to look for grammar or spelling errors. Others may want a simple overall vibe check (like, is it flowing OK, does this scene fit here or should I cut it) kind of deal. Some may want someone who’s native in the language they’re writing in to check it over (if they’re not a native speaker themselves).

Traditionally, especially in the publishing realm, a beta writer is someone you trust to tear your story to shreds and help you see where it needs to be fixed or reworked.

For example, when I was working on my published novel, I had an older friend I trusted read it and asked her to be brutally honest about it, including any major flaws. I wanted an outside opinion because sometimes you can get too close and can’t see the forest for the trees, which is why having another set of eyes can be so helpful.

Another reason you might want a beta reader (and I’ve done this too with my novel) is to have an “expert” read it to help ensure you properly incorporated a particular thing in the work.

For example, let’s say you’re writing a story about lawyers but you don’t know anything about the legal system in the country where the story takes place, or you know a little but not enough. Having a lawyer or someone like that read your work can help you get that aspect right.

So TL;DR, again, a beta reader is just someone who reads the story and gives the author feedback to improve it. It can be a range of things, and you can have multiple beta readers for different purposes.

But many fan fic writers don’t use them bc they’re just having fun and don’t care if the story has flaws. And that’s fine!

I use a beta reader sometimes for my fan fic but not always. Most often for fan fic, I want to know if the scenes flow and make sense since I tend to write out of order and want to be sure there are transitions so the reader won’t be lost. So usually I want more of a “vibe check” kind of deal.

I’ll admit WDH is the one fan fic I treat most like published work in the sense that I extensively plan each chapter and often do multiple drafts before I publish. My other work I often only do 1-2 drafts and many I don’t use a beta reader with. I do for Synch, again mostly for the vibe check.

Usagi is a given name (part 2)

I had a confusion abt a recent(ish) post in the Samurai Rabbit tags, but then after writing a reply, realized, it was about an AU they were writing and not the series itself directly. So I scrapped my reply and revised it a bit to put it here separately. (general spoilers for Samurai Rabbit: the Usagi Chronicles and minor spoilers for Usagi Yojimbo) Also posting bc I keep seeing old info circulate that keeps confusing the name thing further so lol. general reference for u fans who haven't read the UY comics or watched the SRTUC series. Even if you change things in your own fic, even if u dislike the SR show, it’s good to keep in mind what the original work might mean.

Summary:

Miyamoto Usagi is based on historical samurai Miyamoto Musashi, so Usagi is always his given name. In japan, names are written [surname][given name]. Usagi Yojimbo is Stan Sakai’s life work, inspired in the early 80s by samurai films, namely Samurai trilogy about the real life Miyamoto Musashi.

Based on how the Samurai Rabbit show treats it, Usagi is the given name of Yuichi Usagi as well - it's more familiar, what you would call any other characters in western shows - their first name. We do not know the in-world or our-world reasoning for it (yet). But safe to say that the SRTUC crew were big fans of UY or else the show would not have been made.

Although UY predates it in the US, Usagi is usually considered a given name thanks to the popularity of Sailor Moon, so it is not used as a surname. Maybe it's more of a Kira Kira name in real-world japan. Cute but harmless.

Usagi means "rabbit" so it makes sense as a fictional name because all these characters mentioned are rabbits or rabbit-themed. In the Usagi Yojimbo book, many characters have names based on what species of animal they are (Inukai (Stray Dog), Nezumi, Zato-Ino) so there are just a lot of name puns.

but you can use Yuichi when wanting to differentiate while speaking of both of the Usagi's (Stan himself switches between using Usagi/Yuichi and "My Usagi"/Miyamoto Usagi when he starts talking of both of them in the same answer in this CBCC podcast interview). Usagi is still a given name for both.

So you can use both names when talking about him as a character, but in-story people would probably address him as Usagi regardless of if they've just met him or known him for a long time.

Yes, it makes things confusing, but it’s like having two people in the same class with the same name. You don’t rename the classmates, you give them nicknames.

Since he is so friendly, he would probably let people use Usagi from the first time they meet (and we see this in the show itself too haha) but in other contexts, maybe he would let people address him as Yuichi-san, for example, but we never really see anyone refer to him in this way. And to all strangers he meets, he is just “Rabbit” - the friendly farmboy descended from samurai.

edit (14.06.23): after writing this I realised, even more likely that both Yuichi and Usagi are meant as given names and the family doesn't have a surname anymore... lets think about it more below! ^^

= Intro =

So I thought that maybe making a long reply would be rude, so I’m making a separate post about it. This post was confusing to me at first, bc I thought, “ahh, more confusion abt the names” then “but wait they’re not Father and Son…” and then realized omg, this post and poll is for OPs AU! (lolol sorry for misreading it, i’m still sick and very slow on the uptake for a lot of stuff this week ^^;)

I had a bit of trouble at first too with a new Usagi and his names. Yuichi is very commonly known as a given name in japan. After seeing the series, I even tried to rationalize that maybe his friends are using Usagi respectfully as a family name after they get to know him... but in the show itself, his aunt calls him "Usagi" so even tho Yuichi is a common first name, it is intended in the show that he is called Usagi, whatever way "Yuichi" is meant to be used.

Usually an aunt who raises you, does not use your second/family names. I'm not Japanese or Japanese-American myself (I am mixed Asian-European) so I deferred to the show to give me info. This show seemed a bit better to me than other american shows based on asian cultures. So the naming kept confusing me but I guessed that maybe I just don't know enough info and it must be some pun or simpler nickname like many characters in the comic (like general Oyaneko, Lord Hebi, or Zato-Ino)

So I tried to consider some time ago, that maybe the team who named him, just decided on it based on something else (maybe the meaning "heroic first-born (son)" (via Japanese-Names.org)) and that Stan went with it as the one overseeing everything for the show because the name stuck. It's a fairly catchy name.

I’ve also heard from other fans that they kept calling him Yuichi during production and then added Usagi for the connection to the original Usagi and vice versa, that he was always called Usagi, but then needed and secondary name to differentiate him among both the crew and in the text.

We don't really know as fans. Maybe there's a long story behind it that the crew didn't have time to include as they tried to finish the 20-episode order... but I digress. His first name is Usagi. Lets say that it's a namesake to his ancestor.

Miyamoto Usagi from Stan Sakai's Usagi Yojimbo comics is well-known to be based on Miyamoto Musashi, a real-life samurai. The fact that his first name is Usagi, is sorta like Stan making a joke about how he's a rabbit also. It's a fun juxtaposition of serious and funny, because it's a very well-researched comic about Edo-period samurai, but everyone is animals. So that's why the comic is also titled Usagi Yojimbo, because, Rabbit Bodyguard. It's just a good title that makes sense when you start reading the first story.

Usagi Yojimbo is the TITLE of the comicbook series. The folks who made the 1987 series made a mistake naming him (and there's prob history there but I won't go into it). In the comic, Mr. Sakai uses the japanese naming convention of [FAMILY NAME] [given name]. This is consistent in the cartoon as well. Usagi itself is a common given name in manga/comics since Sailor Moon.

Yuichi Usagi in this way, sounds like two first names then. But...

Yuichi can actually be a last name too irl, it is just much less common.

There's also name-explaining sites. I can’t quite take sites like these (Forebears) at face value, but it has some vague statistics on Yuichi as a surname around the world. = Usagi Yojimbo: Senso connection =

I already made a longer post looking into the name some time ago, trying to analyze a possible reason for why the crew named him Yuichi Usagi and not something else. I went and read Usagi Yojimbo: Senso, which, in addition to the main comic, is what the crew based the concept of the show on, in large parts. I also found after writing this bigger post that Miyamoto Yuichi is a really common name. So maybe they also didn't want to name him something that wouldn't be as memorable or show up in an internet search. But that's my speculation as a fan as is what I wrote before. There is an article in the Pachific Citizen that actually calls him Miyamoto Yuichi by accident and it does have a nice ring to it.

Maybe it’s an issue of how the name was researched. When looking up the name and any historical base like with Stan’s Usagi and Musashi, I found that many EN language wikipedia redirects/directory lists had JP names either first-name–last-name (western) or last-name–first name (japanese), without consistency across the site. Maybe the crew researched a name, but it was listed wrong. Maybe they based the name also on something historical, mimicking Stan in their admiration of his work, but ran out of time to actually reference these isnpirations in the work itself because of time restraints? I do not know yet, because we have not had any interviews from anyone in the crew about this. Usually animation productions, especially for TV series are on an incredibly tight schedule. The actual production of the show started in 2020 (Comic Con 2021 interview with Stan, crew and cast - this is where I first heard abt the show if I remember right) and the show premiered its first season on March 28th 2022. They might have even been finishing up some details on the second season between this and the 2nd season airing on September 1st. So logistically, it's possible they couldn't include more lore and explanations except what was deemed important e.g. the yokai storyline, Chizu's story arcs, Miyamoto Usagi's Ki-stone flashbacks and storyline, the alien storyline. So basically maybe they just ran out of time for us to see Yuichi's backstory, as the show tries to be a bit different in this regard. We even see Gen's backstory a bit throughout s1, but miss out on Kitsune and the younger Usagi. Going by the Comic Con interview with Stan however, Stan is really proud of the series and pre-production had already been going on for a year or so before this interview, so they must have worked out something between pre-production and post-production.

= The japanese dub =

In the japanese dub, his name is spelled ユウイチ (雄一) うさぎ - Yūichi Usagi, so by naming conventions, again things are fairly correct. Usagi is the given name to call him by, but then by the spelling both are technically given names? When you search this name in japanese, you will get children's books listed in both the site results and the image results.If I really wanted to infer meaning from this, I could say that “hey, maybe this is a common children’s nickname for an old book series or fairytale, or something!” Except I do not actually know that. That would be my assumption to make based on a surface-level detail.

Now, since I'm not japanese or japanese-american myself (and probably neither are many of the online TMNT and Usagi fans), I can only learn from others about this culture. While I am european-asian, that is kind of totally different no matter how many living relatives I might have in japan or not. I might know slightly more about some japanese culture and history than say, the average northern or eastern-european here? But I am still quite clueless about many things about the language and history itself. So whatever I try to search in japanese will have some human error in it because I am not fluent in japanese. So, if we try to expand beyond the show, unless we are actually close to these communities, we will not know about japanese culture unless we've learned about it beforehand. So we can only refer to the comicbook series and the show itself to give us more info, or more context, to look up and research. But if I find anything else, I can really only use it as a point to sort of expand my existing theories on, but not quite “hard canon” as what the show itself and the comic are.

One other thing I find of note to mention: both the original EN language cast and crew had actual Asian-American members in important roles. The art director is Vietnamese-American. Yuki Matsuzaki reprising his role as Miyamoto Usagi and Darren Barnet, who is half-japanese, playing Yuichi Usagi. Darren is fluent in japanese btw, so that's why you might hear a slight "accent" when he speaks japanese as Usagi - he is actually pronouncing the japanese words correctly. And that was so nice to hear. You have no idea how many cartoons and other media I've seen where the asian language pronunciations are completely butchered. Sometimes it is intentional from a production i.e. game localization from a chinese game to english - because english pronounciation of names has different rules from other languages, so some names and words have to follow those rules more closeuly so people know what word is being said and recognize it. But it's still grating to hear. So the fact that names and food or other terms are pronounced in a way that seems correct (again, not fluent, but it's better than I hear in non-researched productions), is very nice to hear.

Additionally, it seems from just the way the crew talks about it that they put a lot of care into making sure they don't mess things up regarding the culture and the comic. So I refuse to believe that research was not done on the show, including the names. It comes down to the quality of research, but also their time restraints, what was actually left in the show and what was deemed viable to keep, what would have added more time crunch or work on top of existing work. Again, blame netflix, not the crew, not the producers (all supportive of the show, bc who knows what netflix upstairs things about cartoons anymore.

= Conclusions =

Thinking of all this, the most likely reasons for Usagi’s names like that that they had considerations for other names and more lore behind it, but focused more on getting the show finished and done in a way that the most important plot and info got into it. So a lot of things might have been cut for time reasons, including a consideration for a different surname, because again, for time and quality reasons, this was not as important as the rest of the show.

It might be that my theory linking Senso to the creation of the show could turn out to be true - that the name Yuichi is more a title than a traditional surname.

Extrapolating on this Senso theory, since the show borrows just as heavily from Edo time aesthetics, history and ideas, it’s possible the crew also built on the idea of a samurai family losing their surname and becoming farmers over time... Something we also see in Usagi Yojimbo, with a general in hiding who has become a farmer and having a new family... it’s interesting to consider then that perhaps the whole line after the Ki-stone incident with the shogun, lose their name over time as history changes. So Usagi and his auntie perhaps don’t really have a real surname, but his parents wanted him to have an honorable family name anyway, so they think of the name Yuichi, because of it’s meaning. That’s my fanon idea over all this speculation, but hey, it’s a possibility.

Regardless, we don't know exact reasons for the naming without asking a crew member directly, and that's usually a bit rude out of an interview I suppose? Neither can we ask about the naming of the show, that's usually a long process for shows in general. I do wonder what alternative names they had for both Usagi and the show, but, I’m not really up for asking directly myself. Like the crew seem like nice people so I would not ask any of them abt this randomly. So what I’ve done instead, is to try and speculate in my earlier post about it in general, based on what Samurai Rabbit is based on (the UY: Senso book), some of the interviews and context clues within the show (Usagi’s auntie calling him by his given name, and his friends keeping the nickname Usagi once they get to know each other more, we can assume).

Because we don't know exactly, we mostly just have the show itself + those other aforementioned sources to go on, and there might be more possible reasons than I could speculate in the future. So we'll probably never find out.

In your own fanfic, theories etc, u can do whatever, but it’s just good to know abt some stuff abt these series as a reference point, even if u change things. If you love TMNT as a series/concept, maybe you can learn to respect UY/SRTUC as series too. I know it’s just silly fandom stuff most times, but it’s good to be mindful about this if it’s your interest or something you like even a bit.

So to summarize:

Miyamoto Usagi is based on historical samurai Miyamoto Musashi, so Usagi is always his given name.

Based on how the show treats it, you can use Usagi for Yuichi Usagi - it's more familiar, what you would call any other characters in western shows - their first name.

his aunt who RAISED HIM, calls him Usagi. Even if it’s only at the request of him (like say, it’s a namesake he got and not his birth name), that’s still the name his family calls him

If his pursuers/new friends really were calling him Usagi (family name) out of respect at first, then they would have to do the same to each other too. Maybe even switch to given names later. But they all call each other by given names right away. This seems to be a generational difference (Nochi and Fuwa, adults but also enemies/adversaries to the main cast, are adressed via family name throughout)

Although UY predates it in the US, Usagi is usually a given name in Japan thanks to the popularity of Sailor Moon, so it is not used as a surname. Maybe it's a Kira Kira name just like we have it in real-world japan.

Usagi means "rabbit" so it makes sense as a fictional character name because all these characters mentioned are rabbits or rabbit-themed. In the Usagi Yojimbo book, many characters have names based on what species of animal they are (Inukai (Stray Dog), Lord Hebi, Nezumi, Zato-Ino) so there are just a lot of name puns.

it’s possible it would have been confusing to switch the names around during the production of the show - losing the connection with his ancestor, his namesake + the idea of every character meeting him and then mistaking him for Miyamoto Usagi, but also, the idea of everyone just calling him “Rabbit” in comical anger.

While the show follows the same conventions as the comic re: [surname][given name], it also wants it's viewers to feel more familiar with the characters, so same as Stan's original work. Similar to the comic, the show is written with a western/US audience in mind. In an old interview from 2010, Stan says it better himself: "Usagi might be about Japanese history and culture, but it's told from a distinctly western perspective".

So you can use both names when talking about him as a character, but in-story people would probably adress him as Usagi regardless of if they've just met him or known him for a long time.

Whatever the reasons, Usagi is meant as a given name for both.

Since he is so friendly, he would probably let people use Usagi from the first time they meet (and we see this in the show itself too haha) but in other contexts, maybe he would let people address him as Yuichi-san, for example, but we never really see anyone refer to him in this way, he is just “Rabbit” - the friendly farmboy descended from samurai.

I'm coming from that one post where that one anon got blocked because they didn't reblog..

I have a genuine question now:

Does it matter if the person who re-blogs your works writes something in the tags too? I mean, other than what it's about? As in like, for example, it's a "bnha x reader" and only that gets tagged plus similar tags. I'm genuinely curious, because I'm someone who struggles a lot with writing.. literally just writing in general. It's super exhausting to me and I even struggle to text back any of my closest friends. I could read all day, but it's the opposite with writing. So since I read a lot, I know it's a big problem, because well, I think everyone's aware of the lacking support for content creators.. but yeah basically my question is, if I don't have to write more than what's necessary in the tags, as long as I re-blog? I'd absolutely love to give good feedback but I'm also struggling with finding the right words other than "love this" "absolutely loved this" "this was so sweet/funny/good/sad" etc. I can't really go into depth with my words.. it's all so frustrating because I love reading, you know?

But yeah, I hope you understood any of what I was trying to say.

While every author would appreciate something kind in the tags, it’s not always necessary! The reblog alone means a huge deal on here, not only for the algorithms but as an indication you actually enjoyed something so it’s appreciated either way! I know I often just reblog little things without even adding my own tags because winter time makes me so lethargic I hate itttt! But I try my best and that’s all any of us can do!

But if you love giving feedback, continue to do so where you can! Don’t stress yourself out over it, and even though to you a “loved this” might not seem like much to you— to me (and I’m sure everyone else) it means a huge huge deal!

Literally I just had someone comment on my fic trying to ask for more, without even saying they enjoyed it and another person mentioned something it reminded them of without even saying whether they liked the actual fic. So even a “good job!” is great in my eyes!!

He won’t attack them, and he won't ask them to leave immediately, but he will ask them never to return afterwards and likely be very curt with them. He plays this off as though he simply dislikes deities, which isn’t too unlikely given he’s a demon! *If your muse is a Greek (or Roman) deity, they will not recognize him, as he has been twisted beyond recognition and taken on an entirely new identity. ➤ I’m not follow for follow, so that means I only follow those that I’m interested in writing with! I also read everyone’s rules and character information before following/interacting, and expect the same from others. I won’t follow those without a rules page or a finished (or mostly at least) character info page; I like to know who I’m writing with!
