Howdy, so I don't know if you have seen The Last of Us, but if you have, you know the scene where Joel saves Ellie from the hospital and he just ploughs through everyone and its like wow -///-
I just think it would be a really cool like drabble if this was a Din x reader fic? Only if you wanted to write it though!! Also I'm so happy that I'm on your taglist for inevitable because I jump to read it every time that I see that I've been tagged, it has me in a chokehold and the way that you write the reader is so damn good.
Your writing is something that brings comfort to me every week, and the way you interact and talk to your followers is so sweet. I love coming back from a stressful day to sit down somewhere comfortable to enjoy your work.
Anyways thanks for reading this ramble of an ask and I hope that you're doing well :)
[a/n]: combining some stuff here! this is for the anon who asked for this scene AND for @cockscombkingdom who asked for a fic in Din's POV where he takes care of reader and keeps her safe. I started with the plan to make this very sweet and fluffy and I'm not gonna lie a little darkness seeped into it. my bad.
also in case it isn't abundantly clear i am a joel miller apologist thx

Din Djarin x Female!Reader
Warnings: Violence, death, injuries, mild dark!din (if you squint and/or have a problem with murder)
Word Count: 1,440
Summary: You were selfless. You gave and you gave and you gave. The universe planned to only take more, but Din Djarin would be damned if he let it.

LOOK FOR THE LIGHT
.
"you'd just come after her." -Joel Miller (TLOU)
.
Din was worried about you. He was always worried about you because you were always on his mind. It couldn’t be helped. Somebody had to because it seemed like you were perpetually too worried about everyone else. Din admired that about you. He always had. You went out of your way to help anyone and everyone who approached. You had a heart that was always willing to give, and it left you too little to use for yourself.
When the two of you first began traveling together, he noticed that about you. Sometimes you’d get so preoccupied watching Grogu you’d forget to eat. Peli had once put you to work, organizing her tools as part of the payment to fix the Razor Crest, and you had been so focused on getting the work done well that you had taken no breaks and ended up dehydrated and weak under Tatooine’s hot suns. It’s why the mission he was delivering you to made such simple sense to him. You were special, is what you told him. Din knew you were special, felt it, but it was for very different reasons. According to you, there was something in your blood, some type of cell, that could cure a lot of people of some terrible, terrible disease spreading through a world in the Outer Rim.
Din tried to keep his distance from you. Tried to not get attached. But you were so selfless, that it naturally brought out his protective side. He couldn't help but care for you, but caring for you as a responsibility had quickly turned to loving you along the way. Din didn’t know a lot about love. Didn’t have much experience with it, lust was easier to grasp, and that left him confused most of the time. Din had no idea how to express what he felt for you, how to explain it in words, so he did the only thing he could do. Din took care of you. Kept you safe when he stopped to pick up quarries, made sure you remembered to eat and drink water, reminded you to go to bed and when you would eventually forget anyways he’d carry you there himself. Din didn't know what love was supposed to feel like, but what he did know was that being without you made his heart physically ache and protecting you brought him happiness.
Maybe that’s all he needed to know.
‘It’ll be okay.’ You had promised him with a smile that made your features glow. ‘Shouldn’t take long.’
That had been hours ago. Din delivered you to the medical facility as he had been hired, but when you hadn’t come back out he sought after you. It’s why he now sat in a small room, Imperials flanking the door, as he simmered in disdain. Something was wrong. Something was very, very wrong.
“Mandalorian.” A man stepped into the room. A doctor from the looks of it with thin, round rimmed glasses. The name ‘Pershing’ pinned to his lapel. Din stayed silent. “I was under the impression that you had been paid. Was there an issue?”
“No.” Din replied. “Where is she?”
Dr. Pershing paused and shook his head as if confused. Din tilted his head a bit, an obvious threat in body language, and the doctor was smart enough to realize this. He nervously cleared his throat. “She is being prepared for her operation.” Din narrowed his eyes in confusion. You told him they’d just need your blood. “There is no reason for you to stay.”
“I promised her a ride back.”
There was a tense silence that filled the room at his words. Din watched the doctor squirm where he stood and he needed no further clarification. He shoved up from the table, prepared for a fight, when the Imperials leveled their own weapons at him before he could reach his blaster.
Dr. Pershing held his hands up in a placating manner. “She will be a hero. After we drain her of all her blood, we can make a cure. There’s a 65% chance this will work and save the people of this world.” Din was fuming under his armor. Drain your blood? They were going to kill you. They were going to kill you for something that only had a 65% chance of even working. “She will not be in pain! She’s been put under! She will not feel a thing, and we did not scare her with the news.” Din staggered back as if he had been physically hit. Was this man saying… Dr. Pershing confirmed Din’s thoughts. “We did not tell her this would kill her. We spared her that misery. She went under anesthesia peacefully.”
The words echoed in Din’s head loudly. As if a bomb had gone off right beside him and left him deaf and blind. He walked on autopilot as the Imperials escorted him through the building toward the exit. They were going to kill you. They were going to kill you for a shot in the dark cure. Din was literally paces to the door when his boots stilled. The Imperials shoved him, tried to get him to move, threatened to shoot him, and then Din snapped.
With the practiced precision of a bounty hunter and Mandalorian who spent most of his life in a fight, Din spun and cut down the Imperials in one swift movement. The darksaber glowed angry in his hands, casting threatening shadows down the hall. Never before had the sword worked so well for him, but as Din marched through the facility it was practically an extension of himself. Blaster fire pinged off his beskar and he did not hesitate. If a person stepped into his path he eliminated them. Cold. Ruthless. A predator. Din stalked the medical facility searching for you, and he left a wake of death and destruction in his path.
When he finally caught sight of you, through a window into some kind of clean room. Din felt his heart flutter in his chest. The first twinge of emotion since starting this rampage. It was a reminder of why he was doing this. A reminder that his actions were necessary.
Din stormed into the room, his eyes not leaving your unconscious form as you laid on a table in a hospital gown. The staff in the room panicked in a flurry, and one of them⏤ maybe the doctor maybe a nurse, Din didn’t even register who the kriff it was⏤ rushed him in a poor attempt to stop this onslaught. Din cut them down without blinking. Without taking his eyes off of you. The second you were in his arms, Din felt marginally settled. He wasn’t going to lose you, couldn’t lose you. Din had sworn to himself that he’d take care of you, it was all he knew how to do, and he wasn’t going to stop for the sake of anyone.
Not even the sake of a world.
As Din carried you out of the building it occurred to him that he may be dooming an entire population of people. This world’s chances of survival were dropping from 65% to 0%. He knew that he should care. He knew that this information should bother him. That it should make his steps more hesitant and make his chest ache in indecision, but it didn’t. His choice had never been more clear to him. It was either this world or you. Din was choosing you. He’d always choose you.
When back on the ship, Din had only carried you a few steps when gasping could be heard. He turned around to see Dr. Pershing at the end of the ramp holding a blaster at him. The man was breathing hard, face red, as if he had sprinted all the way here to stop this from happening. Din had to admire his dedication. The man believed in this cause so much he was willing to go head to head with a Mandalorian who had just single handedly cleared out a medical facility.
“I can’t let you do this.” Dr. Pershing snapped. “You’re dooming this world if you take her!”
A blaster fired. Dr. Pershing stumbled back, a hole in his chest, and Din held his blaster firm in his hand. Your legs draped over that arm had hidden his weapon well. A strangled gasp left the man’s lips and he collapsed into a motionless pile. Din shook his head, responding to a dead man’s words, “I don’t care.”
Din would protect you under any and all circumstances.
 Was that love?

Tumblr media
Hi, thanks for checking out my writing!
I write purely for Din Djarin (though I read and rec other Pedro Pascal characters and other Star Wars media). Whilst not all my stories include smut, they usually contain adult themes and language, so they’re suitable for over-18s only 🔞
My writing is extremely detailed and character-oriented, and I research and proofread/edit thoroughly. I never start publishing something until it’s fully written. As a result, producing content takes me a while, but I hope this ensures that my completed works are high-quality, immersive experiences for my readers.
Please feel free to join my tag list.
Tumblr media
**The emojis assigned to each fic below indicate moods rather than specific genres and are open to interpretation**
PUBLISHED WORKS:
🔷 Be-All And Endor [406,690 words]
My magnum opus; this is a novel-length slow burn set after season 2. Din has a bounty on Endor and gets more than he bargained for when Reader accidentally almost runs him down with her speeder in the forest. Over 1.6k kudos on AO3. [😍+🥰+🥵]
🔷 Never Look Down [13,160 words]
Two-part mini-series set on Nevarro after season 3, wherein Din falls for Grogu’s babysitter but resolves not to tell her… until a drunken misunderstanding results in some revelations. [😍+🫣 and a hint of 🥵]
🔷 Din Djarin: The Contractor [1,001 words]
An imagine-turned-one-shot that evolved from pics of Din holding a toolbox and the memory of Joel telling Ellie he used to be a contractor. Reader needs a repairman, and guess who shows up… [😡->😈]
🔷 The Long Goodbye [45 words]
Flash fiction in 280 characters or less. An examination of why Ahsoka came looking for Din in ‘Chapter 13: The Jedi’ rather than waiting for him in Calodan like he asked. [🥺]
CURRENTLY BEING WRITTEN:
🔷 Hush
[snippet 1] [snippet 2] I was assigned the genre ‘secret relationship’ in a roll-a-trope writing challenge, so this fic follows Din and Reader embarking on a clandestine liaison that they have to hide from Karga… because Reader is our favourite High Magistrate’s niece. Multi-chapter; features sneaking around, flimsy excuses, near misses, and furtive smut. [😏🤫🥵]
🔷 Held Is The Seed
[snippet] A four-part smutty series. When a guy in a cantina claims Mandos make poor lovers, Reader leaps to Din’s defence and lists several ways in which he could, in fact, be exceptionally talented in bed. Din overhears and later offers to prove her assumptions true one by one. [😍->🥵]
🔷 To See A Thousand Things
[details & snippet] [snippet - 1st one down] An extremely smutty, angsty piece based on five firsts and one last. Din has something casual going with a gun shop owner over the years, but they both discover that anything long-term will inevitably transform into something that runs deep. [🥵+😭]
🔷 Aruetiise
[snippet - 2nd one down] One-shot based on the idea of Din and Reader both coming up with reasons they can’t be together, none of which are the same and all of which are idiotic. An argument finally leads to a conversation about it. [🥺…🥹🥰]
🔷 Final Sanctuary
[snippet - 3rd one down] [snippet] Smutty one-shot (will be lengthy) based on a fantasy Din has when his shipmate spills white dip on her chin, and how he manages to figure out flirting and make his fantasy a reality. [🥵->🥰]
🔷 Din Djarin In Jarringly Domestic Situations
[details & snippet] [more details] Space romcom involving a series of encounters in which Din meets the woman of his dreams, but each time, it’s in an embarrassing or awkward situation. [😍😳🥴]
FIC REQUESTS:
I’m very open to requests because having a deadline and someone waiting on me often helps motivate me to finish!
I’m flexible in terms of content, but please bear in mind that smut takes me a lot longer to write, and I lean towards fluff rather than angst (though I’m not opposed to the darker end of the scale). I’m also not a fan of breeding kink (sorry, I firmly believe Din is a reluctant father who loves Grogu but would have to be brought around to the idea of one day having his own) or daddy kink. Otherwise, please feel free to suggest anything that takes your fancy!
Ideally, short prompts or ideas for one-shots are best because I’m the girl who got over 400k words out of “slow burn set on Endor”, so the more complex your request, the bigger the undertaking, the longer it’ll take me to research and write (and the longer you’ll be waiting).
HOW TO SUPPORT ME:
If you’ve enjoyed my writing, please consider heading over to AO3 and adding some kudos to my fics there. Also, please consider reblogging any of my fics/series masterlists here on Tumblr. Both these actions increase visibility and help new readers to find my work long after publication. I don’t have a Ko-fi because I value online encouragement and marketing assistance more than cold, hard cash.
I also see spinoff media as the highest form of flattery, so if you feel like doing anything creative based around the universes I write, rest assured I’ll be here cheering you on and crying over how much I love you! It’s my dream for my writing to inspire others, whether it’s playing in my sandbox with me or crafting something of your own.
Thanks for your support; it means the galaxy to me! 💙🩵

INTRODUCING: TERRIFIC TWOSDAY because what's better than one rec? that's right, two.
Tumblr media
Happy Tuesday, everyone! ... Or should I say TWOSDAY? In an effort to get through my TBR list and to shout about things I've been meaning to shout about for far too (two) long, I am going to be turning every Tuesday into Two Recs Day. I'll be highlighting two works in each category that I loved and that I know you'll love, too (2)! Check them out, and remember to show some love to the creators!!
Two Series Recs: This week, I am going with two series that are currently in progress. I know that finished works often get a lot of focus. As they should! I can tell you first hand that seeing a whole series through to the end is a TALL ORDER. But you know what is also very freaking cool? Hopping on board while the train is still in motion, catching up with previous chapters and waiting excitedly to see where the train is taking you! So without further ado, here are the two trains that I recommend you all hop on this week.
LIMINALITY by @something-tofightfor
Frankie Morales x F!Reader
Wolf AU + “forbidden romance”
9 Parts in so far (plus extras + POV switches)
Thrills. Chills. Swoons. Moons. This story is brimming with excitement and adrenaline… not to mention the heat. (Frankie is a whole entire menace, as he should be.) All the guys are here (yes, that does include Tom 🙄) and they are all captured so perfectly, as is their friendship with one another and with Frankie. It features a very confident, brave, badass reader, ancient lore, supernatural elements, family business, and one heck of a connection between our main characters. Every chapter flies by and leaves you wanting - needing - more, and now is an excellent time to let yourself get hooked on this one, because the action is only ramping up from here!
PASSENGER by @whatsnewalycat
Din Djarin x OFC!Charlie
Modern Trucker AU + dog Grogu
6 Parts in so far
Are you looking for a new OC to fall in love with and want to protect with your life? How about a morally gray long-hauler who moonlights as a bounty hunter? Well you’re in luck because this story has BOTH. It’s also got incredibly high stakes juxtaposed with really sweet, human moments. Charlie is one of the most charming OCs I’ve ever met (which happens to be one of her rules to live by- all of which are good advice for anyone to follow, IMO) and Din’s characterization is so very well done - as is Grogu’s. The theme of delivering the bounty vs doing what’s right is very present and extremely well done, and watching these characters warm up to each other and blur the lines is truly a treat. Get caught up and hitch a ride for the rest of the journey, because I know it’s only going to get better from here!
Two One Shot Recs:
GREATEST OF ALL TIME by @gnpwdrnwhiskey
Dieter Bravo x OFC!Ava
Meet cute + “Do you believe in aliens?”
Dieter needs a break from work and the hullabaloo that comes along with it, and has enlisted the help of his assistant to book him a solo getaway so he can just relax, reset and revive the vibes. Sounds great, right? It is, until he gets turned around and off the beaten track in the middle of the desert and meets the enigmatic Ava and her faithful pal Goat… who might be more than your average Great Dane. After a misunderstanding about where he’s supposed to be, Dieter realizes that the airstream desert oasis under the stars is exactly where he’s meant to be.
LIKE FATHER, LIKE DAUGHTERS by @sixhours
Joel & Ellie
Part of an existing universe
Even though I’ve not yet read the series that this one shot takes place in, it’s immediately gone on my list due to this little interlude. This is such a good character study of Joel and of Ellie - of what they’ve been through, what they want for each other, and how their relationship has grown and changed. It’s got some really beautiful lines and heartwarming/heartbreaking feelings. I love these two forever and ever, and this little slice of life shows just how much they love each other, too. Joel Miller is Dad of the century. Period. The end.
Two Art Recs:
Ezra & Cee Jammin’ by @thekawaiifruitworld
Literally every time this artist draws these two, my heart grows ten sizes to accommodate how much more I love them. JUST LOOK AT THEM! So goofy, so happy, so whole and healthy and and and..!
Joel Strummin’ by @nic0o-o
I whimpered when I first saw this masterpiece, and you will, too. Just go. Just go look. Look at his beauty. I dare you not to be in your feelings about this man after seeing this piece.

Hi Hazel!
Let’s imagine you are having a birthday party and have invited the Pedro boys. Which ones do you hope can come and what would they give you for a present?
Okay, so to be clear, I've invited them all!?!?! 😮 this is gonna take a while -
Alright, welp, of course
Din (and Grogu)
Tumblr media
(Picture is a giftee from @nicolethered thanks again, bb 💚)
And as you can see, they have brought me flowers, balloons, and a little something in a little gift bag -
I'm thinking Grogu got really excited about getting me a frog, but Din wasn't so sure and got a zen frog statue for my garden and a blaster because Din wants me to be able to protect myself.
Javi G
Tumblr media
Javi brings champagne and some lovely tapas made by his chef and divine inspiration...
But because Javi Peña comes, Javi G has to stash it and promises we will use it another time.
Tumblr media
And Peña gives me sexy underwear, and I turn bright red and stow it back in the gift bag hurriedly. He winks and says, "for later."
Joel (and Ellie) because they nnneeeeddd it!
Tumblr media
And yes, they give me their boggle game. It's wrapped in the Sunday comic pages of a newspaper.
Frankie
Tumblr media
Frankie "stole" my gardening tools and gifted them back all sharpened and oiled.
Dieter, and yes, he brought me a baby goat, but he isn't sure he can part with it, and we end up with joint custody.
Tumblr media
Ezra because he is my beloved, and he also brings Cee (all the found fathers chat at the party about their kids)
Tumblr media
Cee has given me a story she wrote, and Ezra, a white quartz, rounded and smoothed by the sea
Pero, yes, I know he is just going to be grumpy in the corner, but I loves him - and I think he deserves cake
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pero has given me a deer he has killed, "to last me the rest of the winter," and a dagger, like Din, because he wants me to be able to protect myself. Oberyn says it looks like he's courting me, and Pero blushes just a little.
Oberyn wishes he knew children were invited. He would have brought his younger daughters to be with Cee and Ellie, who are having a great time together, and the Littles to play with Grogu.
And he gifts me dornish wine and a silk scarf in the colors of sunspear
And here is me about pretty much all thise Pedros:
Tumblr media
Of course, I would gladly have the Marcuses and Jack, too, and Mr. Ben... hahaha, and Dio would be a riot to have there.

https://www.tumblr.com/lauronk/755126061482835968/i-wish-you-would-write-a-fic-where?source=share Okay so I happen to be the person who has a lot of imagination for fic ideas even tho I don't have the writing skills.
Maybe an Star Wars AU where joel is a mandalorian and he has a mission to find and capture baby ellie for someone because she has some kind of value (like little grogu and his powers) but then he is just this hot man in a space bountyhunter suit that has a little girl hanging on his leg across space to everybody, and he can't get rid of her to his motherfucking clients because she's just so cute and likes to mess around on his spaceship and even has her own little chair and always gives a little peck on his helmet!!! And then when he finally lets her see his face, her little hand just grabs his big ass nose and he laughs because he knows it is too big, and then she finally gives him a little kiss on his nose instead of the helmet and their eyes met for the first time🥹and then when he wants to put the helmet back she makes a sad face and tries to put the helmet down, because now that she knows what her space daddy looks like she just wants to see his pretty eyes and kiss his big ass nose all the time.
okay so a couple of disclaimers before we get started:
i know SO LITTLE about star wars. i've watched mando and boba fett and ahsoka, but that's it. so if there's words or phrases or literally anything i got wrong, i'm very sorry, please be gentle with me. shoutout to my homie @princessofinterest for letting me bombard her with questions
ALSO. i sped-read this prompt, wrote the ficlet, had my friend help me fill in some stuff, and then came back and re-read it and realized...i did not quite do what you requested 😅 so i'm sorry if it's not what you were expecting but hopefully you still enjoy!
ALSO ALSO. i finished, was rereading, and realized i messed up my own timeline. so- yeah. it's been a brain-melty kind of week, so i'm very sorry
Tumblr media
a space bound rocket ship (and your heart's the moon)
length: ~2.3k words tags: joel & ellie; star wars au; mandalorianverse au; joel is a mandalorian; din & grogu cameo; the author knows so little about star wars; father-daughter relationship; the cargo-to-babygirl pipeline remains; no beta we die like david
Tumblr media
This was definitely not the plan.
Joel stares down at the little girl, eyes roaming over her worriedly through his visor, and she stares defiantly back up at him.
This was not the plan, and now he’s got a whole bunch of Morgan Elsbeth’s minions after him. All because he couldn’t just walk away when they tried to take her, even though it’s what he had been paid to do. Find the girl, transport her to Corvus and hand her over. The why didn’t matter to him so much as the payment. And maybe if everything had gone the way it should have - three days, max, of traveling with her before handing her over - then he wouldn’t be in this situation. But transport had taken nearly two months for an increasingly absurd number of reasons.
Dodging bounty hunters. Damage to the stabilizer on his ship. Two attempted abductions of her.
So naturally, by the time Joel had gotten her to Morgan, she had walked away with this faintly betrayed look on her face that had wormed underneath his beskar and pressed against his heart until he’d caved. He’d damn near blown the place up getting her out of there, and now she was curled up on the front seat of his ship, chin on her knees, scrapes on her hands and a scratch across her face.
Joel sighs, the sound slightly distorted by his helmet. “C’mon, Ellie, let’s get you cleaned up.”
Ellie’s not speaking to him, it would seem. Even though he went back for her, she apparently wasn’t over the fact that he’d left her to begin with. So she stays completely silent - more quiet than she’s ever been around him - as he wipes down her hands and her face and pulls out clean clothes for her to wear.
Once she reemerges, clean and dressed and still sulking, Joel nudges her gently up to the cockpit of the ship.
“You hurt?”
She doesn’t respond, and when Joel turns back to look at her, she mutely shakes her head.
“Good.” He lowers himself to the seat, tilting his head towards the one to his right. “Buckle up.” They’re sort of just cruising through space at this point, the ship on autopilot while Joel figures out what to do and where to point them, but that won’t be sufficient for long. He’s gonna need a plan, an actual plan. Somewhere safe for them to lay low for a bit.
And he thinks he knows just the guy to help them out.
“How old did you say you were?”
Ellie’s arms are crossed over her chest, face turned out the window. “Eight,” she says flatly. She looks younger than it though, probably closer to six if he’d had to guess. He’s got no way of knowing what her genetic makeup is though - and it’d be rude as hell to ask - so maybe she just aged slower, looked younger for longer.
“What did they want with you?”
“How should I know?” She bites out, still not looking at him.
Joel fiddles with the controls a bit, double checks their flight path. “They didn’t say nothin’?”
“Nope.” She pops the end of the word, emphasizing the ‘p’. “Just wheeled me back and started sticking needles in my arms.”
Joel sighs, squeezing his eyes shut. When he opens them, Ellie has finally turned to look at him, staring at him so hard he thinks she’s trying to see straight through his helmet to his face. He’s never been more glad to not take it off - she’s young, but she’s too goddamn perceptive.
“Y’know,” he says slowly, gloved fingers gripping the sides of the yoke. “You asked me awhile back why I wear the helmet and don’t take it off.”
Ellie’s eyes narrow. “Yeah…”
Joel hadn’t given her an answer then, too focused on keeping a distance between him and the target. She was just a job, he’d reminded himself, even when he caught himself smiling behind his helmet at one of her many - many - ridiculous puns. Just a job. So he’d ignored that question and most of the others she’d asked.
Felt a little like he owed her an answer now, after the events of the last twelve hours.
“It’s part of my religion.” He turns away from her, finds the words flowing easier when he’s looking out at the inky darkness of space and not right into the eyes that no longer look at him so trustfully. “It’s complicated, very long story. But pretty much we wear the helmets at all times, and to remove it with those who are not family, or to have it removed, is a great dishonor. I only take it off when I’m alone. But I do that so rarely that it feels strange when I don’t have it on, like I’m missin’ some part of myself.”
Joel hears Ellie move but doesn’t look over at her, more concerned with the appearance of Nevarro in the distance.
“Cool,” Ellie replies after a pause, and he thinks her voice sounds a little warmer than it had before. “Thanks…thanks for telling me.”
“No problem, kiddo.”
The house is right where it should be, and as Joel readjusts his landing gear and angles them carefully down, he sees the glint of a sun off the owner’s helmet.
By the time Joel emerges, Ellie in tow, Din is standing in the doorway. Next to his boot, peeking out with wide obsidian eyes, is the small green - Joel feels bad calling it a creature, but nobody knows what species he is - form of his adopted son.
Joel lifts a hand in greeting, and Din matches the gesture. “I won’t stay long,” he says without preamble. “Ran into some trouble, and thought maybe you could help me out. If not, we’ll be on our way.”
Din’s head tilts to the side and then up, as though scanning for anyone who may have followed them. His son shifts over, and Joel catches Ellie’s whispered whoa from behind him.
“Grogu,” Din says warningly, and Grogu stops from where he’d been inching forward. His head turns back towards the Mandalorian, ears twitching, and Din tilts his head back down. Some sort of wordless message seems to pass between father and son, and then Grogu turns back to look at them, a cooing noise emanating from him. He doesn’t move any closer though.
“What do you need?” Din asks, his attention now back on Joel and Ellie.
“‘S a long story,” Joel replies. “But we need somewhere to hide out for awhile, till the people after her stop lookin’.”
Din’s head shifts minutely, as though he’s looking from Joel to Ellie and then back again. Even with two helmets - neither of their expressions visible to the other - Joel feels like he’s having his measure taken.
“She your foundling?”
“Foundl–” Ellie sputters behind him, but Joel cuts her off.
“Yes,” he says firmly.
Din is quiet for another long moment - Joel gets the sense that the other Mandalorian is a man of very few words - and Grogu coos again, his attention now on a bug crawling through the grass near him. His father looks down at him and…it surprises Joel, the visible way Din’s posture loosens and relaxes, watching Grogu waddle along slowly.
“I know a place,” he says softly, breaking the still air. His helmet is still angled towards Grogu, tracking every small move the child makes. “Safe. Quiet. Shouldn’t have any issues there.”
Relief wraps around Joel like a blanket, a weight he hadn’t even realized was on his chest lifting. “Thank you.”
Din nods. “This is the way.”
“This is the way.”
Joel’s careful as he sets down the ship in the field, already noting the heads emerging from a nearby field to watch him warily. They were a peaceful people, Din had said, but wary of outsiders. But once he found Omera and introduced himself, they’d relax and he and Ellie would be given shelter.
He looks back at Ellie, watches her peering out the window curiously. “Stay close to me,” he orders. “Don’t say anything.”
Ellie just rolls her eyes at him, traipsing along dutifully behind him. “Yeah, yeah.”
A fair number of people have gathered by the time he lowers the ramp and the two of them descend, the looks on their faces ranging from curious to openly hostile. Joel’s careful to keep his hands visible and away from the weapons on his hips, eyes flicking quickly from one person to the next.
“We’re not lookin’ for trouble,” he says loudly when they’re within earshot. “I was sent here by a friend. I’m lookin’ for Omera.”
A quick flurry of whispers passes through the crowd, heads turning and words hidden behind hands. Two people peel off from the group and dart away, and Joel watches them go with narrowed eyes. Nobody else says anything after they leave, all eyes remaining on Joel and Ellie. He can see them examining him from helmet to booted feet, taking in the dents on his armor, the gleam of the beskar on his chest, the gun at his hip.
But they all remain distant and observant until the two return, this time with a willowy woman with brown hair between them.
“Who are you?” She asks without preamble, coming to a halt ten feet away.
“Name’s Joel,” he replies gruffly. “This is Ellie –” he gestures behind him and sees her lift her hand in a wave from the corner of his eye “– and we need your help. Got some people after her, and my friend, another Mandalorian, said this was a safe place, if you’ll let us stay for a bit.”
“Hmm.” Her gaze narrows, lips pursing. “This friend - tell me about them.”
Joel shifts, eyes drifting past her to the still-swelling group of villagers behind her. “He’s a Mandalorian, like me. Travelin’ with his kid, small green child. Helped y’all get some raiders to leave you alone, him and Cara Dune.”
Omera’s face relaxes more and more with each word he utters, something wistful passing through her eyes before she looks away.
“Any friend of his is a friend of mine,” she says softly. “Come with me.”
It takes very little time at all for Sorgan to feel like home. The other children in the village take to Ellie almost immediately, and while there’s some lingering wariness towards Joel, it fades more and more each day. He doesn’t know how long they’ll be able to safely stay here, but he’s content in a way he hasn’t been in years.
“Joel!” Ellie yells, the door banging against the wall as she barges in. “Guess what?”
He uncrosses his boots, smiling behind his helmet at the sight of her. Covered in grass and dirt and what looks a bit like slime. “What, kiddo?”
She kicks off her shoes by the door, chest heaving. “I finally - fucking - beat - Visz - racing –” She doubles over, sucking in air to catch her breath.
Joel chuckles. “Nice. How about you celebrate by goin’ to wash up and get ready for dinner?”
Ellie salutes him and turns down the hall towards her room. Joel gets up to check behind her that the door’s shut properly, the curtains drawn over the windows. And then he sets the table, listening all the while for the sounds of Ellie cleaning up and returning.
Carefully, with a measured breath that does nothing to slow the way his pulse is racing, Joel lifts his helmet from his head and sets it on the side table. The breastplate and shoulder pauldrons follow, one piece at a time until he’s left in a simple long-sleeve shirt and the armor covering his legs.
And then he waits.
It’s only a few more minutes before Ellie emerges, water dripping from the ends of her hair. She’s looking down at the ground as she walks, not paying him the slightest bit of attention until she rounds the corner.
“Hey Joel, did we –”
Ellie halts so fast that she nearly over balances, eyes wide and jaw hanging. Joel doesn’t say anything, just sits with his elbows braced on his knees and his hands clasped, waiting for her reaction.
Her eyes flick to the helmet and back to him again, raking over his face. “You - you’re not wearing your helmet.” Joel inclines his head. “But you –” she pauses, clearly thinking back months ago, when he’d told her why he wore the helmet all the time. Ellie swallows. “You said you only take it off around…family.”
“I did,” Joel agrees softly.
Ellie clears her throat, takes a few careful steps forward. “So…I’m not just cargo?”
Joel’s throat tightens, jaw grinding, silently cursing himself. “No, baby girl, you’re not.”
“Okay.” A few more steps forward, until her feet are brushing the tips of his boots. “Okay, cool.”
He feels exposed in a way he’s not used to, watching Ellie take in every possible facet of his face - the scars, the wrinkles, the gray peppering his beard and hair. Nothing hidden from her this time around.
“You’re old,” Ellie finally says with a giggle. Her hand lifts, one of her fingers poking gently at his cheek. “How do your bones not collapse with all that armor, don’t they deteriorate at some point?”
“Little shit,” Joel says affectionately, batting her hand away and poking her own cheek in turn. She laughs again, hand falling to her side.
“Old man,” she retorts playfully. And then before Joel can blink - or even register the movement - she’s flung her arms around his neck, face buried in his shoulder. Automatically his own arms come up and wrap around her small frame in turn. She stays there for a minute and Joel lets her, hand rubbing softly between her shoulder blades. He waits for her to detach first, watches carefully as she steps back and scrubs at her cheek.
“C’mon, kiddo,” Joel nudges her towards the table. “Let’s eat dinner.”

Hi Patt!
Boo! 👻 I’m haunting your inbox today with some spooky season questions! I’d love to hear what Halloween is like in Spain and if it’s even something you do!
What is your favorite Halloween candy ?
What was your favorite Halloween costume growing up? And/or what would be your dream Halloween costume now?
What is your favorite spooky movie/tv show/book?
Tumblr media
Kat, you scared me! Hehehehehehe
Well! As always, your questions are wonderful!
In Spain we didn't celebrate Halloween like... 10 years ago. It is something imported that we are celebrating more and more, but there is still a long way for us to celebrate it as you guys do. Except in Galicia, in the northwest of the country. In this area, inhabited by the Celts centuries ago, they have always celebrated Samhain, which is where Halloween comes from after all.
I LOVE Halloween. I love to dress up, the spooky theme… The candy……. Trick or treat… If I had to choose, I would go for M&M's btw! I've managed to get my friends and I to dress up several years in a row now, also with the excuse of celebrating my birthday (October 20th). This year we dressed up earlier because on the 31st we couldn't all get together….
What I always wanted to dress up as was Tinkerbell. Not scary at all, but… I loved it. And now I want to dress up my boyfriend as Joel and me as Ellie, or him as Din Djarin and me as Grogu (he preferred the last one hahaha).
Tell me a little bit about how you are going to celebrate it, your favorite costumes and sweets….. I love this ask! Thank you SOOO much, darling!

Alright im going public with my bad opinion explanation: I hate the adoption scene because in order for it to make sense you have to ignore almost everything that the previous seasons were doing.
First, foundlings are not orphans, JON.
Foundlings are literally just children adopted by Mandalorian warriors. Something Din had made clear, he repeatedly calls Grogu a foundling and the only one who would have adopted him is Din himself. So they got that totally wrong, they do not understand how foundlings work or what they are.
Second, Din has not struggled to accept he is a father. He struggled to let himself refer to himself as a father because he has always been afraid of losing Grogu. Season 1 he isn't afraid of being his father but he doesn't let himself call Grogu his son or himself his father because hes scared he is going to lose Grogu because theyre always on the run from those hunting for Grogu.
Season 2 he is even more seeing himself as his father but he now is scared to call himself that beacuse he thinks hes losing Grogu forever to the Jedi.
Its never been Din has to learn to see himself as a father its been Din was too scared of losing Grogu so soon after calling himself as such. Season 3 he has NO reason to not already fully consider Grogu his own son.
ALSO ALSO ALSO
So theres a direct comparison to tlou here. The end of the show/game, you have Joel fully cementing himself as Ellies father by going against all odds to save her life.
Episode 3 of season 1 is that story for Din. His first interaction was to murder the droid with him and hold out a gentle finger to this baby. He is a true Mandalorian. This child is alone and needs someone to protect him. He knows what this means he knows Grogu is his foundling when he does this. Foundlings for this covert are so important.
Episode 3 has Din struggle to accept handing him over and even as hes still doing so you see his regret. He goes back for Grogu and fights to the point where he is looking at a bundled barley awake Grogu thinking they both might die here. But he looks at him knowing it was worth it.
THAT to me is Din accepting fatherhood. That is Din willing to die for the baby he considers like his own.
Ahsoka literally tells him Grogu sees him as his father and Din doesn't ever refute or question her about such a title. Cara calls Grogu his kid and Mayfield instantly knows his kid is "the little green guy".
Its insane to me that season 3 literally starts with Bo calling Din "your dad" but for the REST OF THE SEASON we downgrade to words like ward or apprentice. Even in the goddamn adoption scene he still is called an apprentice. Season 3 just pretends Din doesn't accept he is already Grogus father when we had 2 seasons showing us that he did see Grogu as his son.
But fear of losing him made him to scared to voice such a thing outloud and by the time Grogu goes with Luke he regrets not saying it earlier.
Never in a million years do I believe season 1 and 2 Din would think he has to "adopt" Grogu formally to consider himself Grogus father. He always has. That was what made Din special in this genre.
He didn't spend the story growing to see himself as a father. He was as Grogus father from minute one and decided he unquestioningly was by episode 3. His story isnt accepting fatherhood its about overcoming the obstacles that would thus take his son from him and the fear of voicing it outloud because of it.
Season 3 pulls so much nonsense by showing Paz with what is clearly a newer foundling that he sees as his son. And then has the audacity to say that it took until the end of 3 seasons for Din to come to the same conclusion about his own foundling.
Dins always been Grogus father, he's always seen himself as such and thats what made their bond so special.
Also again, JON. Foundlings do not stop being foundlings. They are always a foundling because a foundling literally is a child adopted by Mandalorians. Jango didn't stop being a foundling because he was adopted by Jaster. No being adopted is what MADE him a foundling.
Like, just no understanding from Jon or Dave about why everyone but Din called them father and son. And no understanding of what Mandalorian foundling culture even fucking is. Formal adoption doesn't exist like that beacuse thats dumb. You take in a child, and you ARE their parent. Thats it.
It's not the biggest or most egregious fuck up of the season, but it makes me mad because now I have to pretend that THIS was the moment Din fully accepted fatherhood. Not when Grogu was cradled in his arms as they were surrounded about to die, but maybe it was okay because at least he did everything he could to save his child and they would be together.
So yeah. Thats why I hate the one scene everyone in the fandom apparently adores, whoops ✌
Ooh good point! I didn't see this in my ask box. Yes this is just another thing to add to the Fuckery of season 3. I did think it was incredibly odd for Din to have to publically adopt Grogu after he was already a foundling and Din was already OBVIOUSLY his caretaker and parent figure. They also totally ignored the traditional Mandalorian adoption ritual in Mando'a - the Gai bal manda.
Also the Armorer literally tells Din to his face he is "as Grogu's father" until he comes of age or is returned to the Jedi in TBOBF (the last time the Armorer was a character and not a Faux Katan plot device lackey RIP). So that ends the necessity yet again of that scene and proves it was only added to spoon feed the GA who didnt watch TBOBF.
But it goes to show in this season of alleged exploration of MANDO LORE AND CULTURE we yet again got absolutely nothing, confusion, doubling back, and bullshit plain and simple.

Okay so I've said this to my friends but I had to mention it here. Has anyone watched both The Mandalorian and The Last of Us and noticed how similarly the scene where Din saves Grogu plays out in comparison to the scene where Joel Saves Ellie?
Not saying that was intentional because i really dont think it was lol. I think it may just be that parental drive to protect your child that shines through in both scenes, but it's like you can see at that moment that Joel doesn't even care what happens to him right now, he just HAS to get to his little girl. The little tension in his mind for the few seconds before he does it and then commits to doing whatever it takes to get her back is so similar to the body language you see in Din seconds before he shoots out a whole squad of imperial troopers and gets to Grogu. The absolute venom and authority in Din's and Joel's voices when they both tell the medics to hand over the children... and there's even a hint of desperation in their voices at seeing the kids in that state.
Basically, what I'm saying is, Pedro Pascal was born to play these roles and I've never seen two vastly different characters and duos complement each other so much and I will NEVER stop talking about it.

Hiiii I'm really sorry to bother you but I noticed on your old blog you used to have a rule that said not to treat your character like Jesse Pinkman. I think I get why its a concern but I'm wondering why it doesn't say that anymore and also I'm curious to know about what you think the differences between Caleb and Jesse are
omg ok first of all bb, you are certainly not bothering me by asking questions. i appreciate being asked thank you 🥰
secondly uh, i removed that disclaimer from my rules bc i felt like i didn't really need it anymore. it does still apply but i really only had it up bc when i was still fairly new to writing caleb i would get a lot of anons making br.ba jokes. so naturally there would be a lot of people pretending to be fuckin walter white in my inbox trying to tell caleb "let's cook" and like "jesse stop screwing around with robots and get back to work" and shit and like. yeah it's a fun little joke. ONCE. 😬
when you're seeing it multiple times a day/week it loses charm real quick. so i decided to be kinda petty about it and be like 'y'all know that caleb is NOT jesse right?' and i did two things. i flat out stopped responding to br.ba anons and i added that warning to my rules. and it seemed like it worked! i stopped getting flooded and my inbox was allowed to know peace again. but like i said, i don't think i really need it anymore because it should just be kind of a given, right? i mean i'm sure this has happened to other people before and will continue to happen bc that's the internet and unfortunately some people have no concept of boundaries and others just struggle with understanding that they might be making someone uncomfortable without intending to.
but like. to think of a popular example which i'm sure has happened before and will surely happen in the future i just think of a mun who writes joel from the last of us and maybe they like using pedro pascal's portrayal and they enjoy using him as an fc. now imagine that rper getting an inbox filled with anon messages treating joel as totally indistinguishable from the mandalorian. telling him he's gotta go find grogu or asking him why he abandoned his son for ellie or something along those lines. there are some GLARING differences between joel miller and din djarin. they're clearly not the same character.
so it might be funny to the person sending the messages and they're probably just having fun like. i'm sure they don't mean anything bad by it. but lemme tell ya, it's not as much fun to the mun on the receiving end. and in my case it sent me into a lil bit of a writer crisis like 'oh fuck is caleb nichols just a carbon copy of jesse pinkman is that how other people i write with see him?? what can i do to make him stand apart and be different without pulling him away from westworld canon too much??'
so anyway that's the rant over with. to answer the second half of this, caleb and jesse are different people. they just are. they do have a lot in common ranging from appearance to basic personality traits to the way they use body language, but they aren't completely the same. they come from different backgrounds which were influenced by various different factors.
jesse is more creative, he's an artist at heart and he has an artist's mindset and that's a kind of freedom to him. he expresses himself mainly through aesthetics. he draws, he wears a colorful wardrobe that really makes him stand out, the first time walter tells him that cooking crystal is chemistry jesse argues back that it is art and he has his signature style and he resents that walt forces him to change it. the reason jesse got involved in the drug trade is predominantly because it's the one place he is allowed and encouraged to express himself freely through art.
caleb on the other hand, is a soldier and he has a soldier's mindset toward most things. he is/was for the most part content with being told what to do next, following orders, sticking to a game plan. he expresses himself mainly through acts of service in canon, particularly to family as we see with his mom in the hospital and when he leaves his wife and daughter behind to go try and put a stop to the war that's coming. he wants to help, he wants to keep everyone safe and the only way he really knows how to do that is to fight.
i'd also say that while jesse and caleb are both highly empathetic and sensitive to the feelings of others, caleb is more stoic about it. i'm not totally sure if that's just how he is naturally or if he's so wracked and troubled by traumatic experiences and was trained to swallow those emotions in the military or otherwise learned to shut down but like. where jesse is always emoting something and never just sitting completely still and blank, caleb seems more comfortable with staying quiet and not always necessarily showing what's on his mind at a given moment.
and there are or course many more things i can say about specific differences but i feel like i've made this post long enough and gone on a scattered tangent so like. i might explore it way more in depth at a later date. ❤️

Hello! For the end of year writing ask, please can we have G, L and N?
💛💛
Hi lovely! Thank you so much for asking!
G - Where do you think you grew the most ths year?
I am terrible for writing in fits and starts. I just can't keep to a schedule. But with Starman I did. Every week except for one when I had exams. So I proved to myself I can do it haha
Also I think my general understanding of the fundamentals of fanfic has got better. I've joined and am active in a few subreddits now and people there who have been writing fanfic for decades have helped me understand certain things.
For example; I generally write reader insert because I'm a horny bastard who loves to play with the Pedro characters. But someone pointed out to me that I write reader insert in the past tense which doesn't make a lot of sense since it's supposed to be immersive. That's why I re-did the first few chapters of Come Home. It's something so basic, but I hadn't realised I was doing it. And now I'm deep in Chapters 5/6 of Come Home I'm realising I should have done this as a third person OFC. There's A LOT more angst and hurt and trauma in there than I had initially planned on and the smut is a decent way away so I think going forward I'll keep the reader inserts for one shots and do more writing for OCs.
Always learning!
L - Which character did you write most about this year and why do you like them?
I took a LONG break from writing after Starman. It was so well received and I got so attached to the world that I needed a little distance from writing in general. I also started a new job which left me less time to write too.
So the two characters I've written most for this year are probably Ezra and Joel.
I love writing Ezra for his dialogue. His speech is so rich and I love finding the right words for it to flow properly. Eugene from The Walking Dead is my guide when I get stuck. I can always hear his voice and its a good basis for Ezra's I've found.
Joel....I've been in love with Joel for a long time. I watched playthroughs of TLOU before I ever played it and that VOICE holy crap! I love Joel for his duality. Joel gushing incoming!
When we first meet him he's a youngish father of a teenage girl. That life gets unceremoniously ripped away and we then see him two decades later as a rugged, damaged and brooding man. Except...he still has that capability for affection and we see it in glimpses with Tess when he cleans her wounds and when he refers to himself jokingly as "the romantic type" and she replies more seriously that "you have your ways".
Surviving has pummelled him and punished him but he's still standing, and the main way he's managed that is through bloody mindedness and literal brute force. But once he trusts someone, he shows he can open up.
With Ellie it's more difficult because of the obvious parallels with Sarah. But once she breaks through and he realises that he loves her too, nothing can stop him from protecting her and wanting to be close to her. Which leads to his downfall and the tragedy of TLOU2. I won't go into that except to say that I REALLY hope they do another series or 2 dealing with TLOU2. The scenes with Joel and Ellie at the museum for her birthday are some of my favourites in anything ever. I love seeing them as father/daughter. I love how fiercely they love each other and how giving and generous he is and how he's determined to give her some semblance of a childhood that she never got to experience. I love the way he looks at her, like her smile is the reason he gets up in the morning.
I think the lesson here is don't set me off talking about Joel Miller lol
N - Anything you were planning to write that never got written?
So much. I have notebooks full of ideas. I half wrote a Din and Grogu oneshot that had a kind of GoT/Robin Hobb Assassin books feel and I started to write a Fairy Tale Triple Frontier AU and then realised I actually want to smush them together and write it as an original story not as fanfic. So that's on the back-burner for now.

I finally subscribed to Disney+ in July 2022 and watched The Mandalorian the very same day. Binged the first 2 seasons and TBOBF episodes 5 to 7 over the course of 2 days. Loved it so much (I love guys being dads <3). And when Din’s face was revealed during episode 8 I was curious and looked up who Din’s actor was. Okay, Pedro Pascal. Never remembered him but apparently he guest starred in some of my past shows (The Mentalist, Nikita). I shrugged and moved on. lol
Then I found out via tumblr that he would play Joel in The Last of Us show. And it just happened that at the end of May/start of June I had watched a no commentary play through of the TLOU game (and the best parts of game 2) after seeing gifs of the game on my tumblr feed. I had already fallen hopelessly in love with game Joel before I saw Din. 2 dads in as many months. I was unsure of Pedro playing Joel at first (I was used to game Joel's voice/face) but the first TLOU show trailer sold me. I was giddy.
Waiting for the show to come out, I was impatient, and bored so I watched Prospect because my best friend suggested it (she already liked Pedro before me). She sold it to me by saying it was another father like role. I ended up liking Ezra (though Din was by far my #1 still at this point).
Then I watched Narcos. Again a suggestion from my friend. Didn’t care for the plot much but Steve and Javier - YES. I was shooked after seeing episode 2. If you know, you know. lol
I’m fuzzy after that. I know I watched a few clips on youtube from Game of Thrones (Oberyn’s speech to Tyrion about not seeing him as a monster was A+) and I rewatched bits of The Mentalist, Nikita, other random shows, etc. Can’t remember if I watched Triple Frontier before or after TLOU show but I did get to that one eventually too. Oh and I watched The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (Javi G is cute) and then We Can Be Heroes as well, just for Pedro. It was worth it, imo. Marcus Moreno is a favorite. His personality - I could picture marrying him most out of all the characters if I’m being honest. ha
Then The Last Of Us aired and I was lost. Combining my favorite game character with my now favorite actor? I spent nearly every spare moment for 9 weeks straight thinking about show Joel and taking in some Pedro interviews. Joel's my favorite Pedro character.
Season 3 of The Mandalorian disappointed me in the middle of it, but it ended well. Hopefully Season 4 focuses more on Din and Grogu again and fixes its pacing/plot.
I’ve seen most of his characters but not all. (I did recently watch The Great Wall, Equalizer 2, and The Bubble though - I was bored. lol). I regret watching Oberyn, Whiskey, and Dave York dying for reasons (Oberyn’s is downright traumatizing and Whiskey’s was just mean imo - he literally just told them he lost his family and the main characters showed no remorse killing him like that - who’s the real monsters here?). Time to ban that from happening to anymore of his characters while the writers strike is going on. Grrrr...
With the TLOU and Mando shows done for now, I currently live on fanfics - mainly Joel Miller ones. I like Joel and Ellie bonding/fluff/angst, Jackson fics - with little brother/uncle Tommy - and Joel/OC smut. I’ve also read occasionally for other characters (Javier Pena, Marcus Pike, even Dieter now). Ginger’s/Ren’s The Crush fanfic was actually the first Pedro character fanfic I read - back before TLOU aired. I am into a lot of fics right now, but Short Days Long Nights is one of my top favs. I check for updates often franny. I wasn’t sure I’d like the concept as I usually don’t like TLOU fics that take place before season 1′s canon events, but you freakin sold me. I’m in love with your fic. It’s like a mature fairly tale. I want to live in that cabin. I’m scared something bad will happen.
Anyway, while I find Pedro really sweet and handsome, what really drew me in most is his acting skills (his subtitle facial expressions and eye acting) and the dad roles. lol I love so many of his characters though, dad or no dad. All his characters feel so different. The difference in vibes between them all is crazy. Are there any that truly feel like the same person? Certainly the characters he’s most known for all feel very different.
Come tell me your Pedro fandom origin story — how did you get here? 😍❤️

Reblogging for science because I've been thinking about this all day!
Javi G would be petrified of post-outbreak Joel and Din, but they wouldn't even notice him unless he seriously got in the way, like tripped over Grogu. When Ellie befriends Javi and he gives her detailed, play-by-play descriptions of all the pre-outbreak movies e loved, Joel is forced to accept Javi because Ellie loves him.
Pre-outbreak Joel would tolerate Javi G as some sort of strange European.
Din would loathe the smary smoothness of Agent Whiskey but secretly be really jealous of his electric whip. Whiskey would have a serious hard on for Din's N-1 star fighter ship.
Din and Peña would maybe not get along, but there would be some sort of mutual respect and understanding for both of their single minded dedication to getting a job done.
Pre-outbreak Joel would think Agent Whiskey is just way too fucking much, like what kind of cowboy is he even? Post-outbreak Joel would begrudgingly accept Whiskey for his ability for violence and retribution.
And the thought of Frankie and Din fighting over the joystick has me in stitches, but eventually Din would do the flying because he's just so intimidating in that armour.
Although...the idea of Frankie, after like fifteen minutes of arguing with Din, just leaning back, crossing his arms and pointing to the controls of an army helicopter with a smirk, and saying "go on then, space boy, fly this." and then thoroughly enjoying watching Din trying to find the boosters or hyper drive controls....
which Pedro characters do you think would hate each other (or bicker/argue/fight)
Anon, I hope you know that you have started a FOREST FIRE in my head with this question and I've been in a quagmire of chaotic frenzied thoughts since 🤯 AND I LOVE YOU FOR IT.
Tumblr media
I was talking to @imaswellkid about it and I'm afraid there's no easy answer. I'm going to have to go through a whole process™ to come up with one worthy of this fundamentally important question you posed.
BUT. Since that will take time and time is scarce right now, I want to drop some initial thoughts before I work on a detailed post on @fuckyeahpedropascal. Here are some Pedro boys who I think won't get along with a one-liner explanation:
Ezra v Pero: Ezra would give Pero a reason to go back for that black powder to shut. him. up.
Javier v Dieter: drugs
Frankie v Din: the pilot is not a fan of impulsive, on the fly bounty hunting missions, and you bet they'd be fighting over the joystick (tehehhehe)
Tim v The Thief: self-explanatory
Javi G v Joel: the golden retriever grins and wags his tail so hard his whole butt waggles while the grumpy pitbull grinds his teeth
This non-exhaustive list is all I have so far, interested to see if anyone has strong opinions they'd like to share with the class!
