I'm so glad I'm not the only one who likes this change!
Honestly, I kinda prefer movie Fiyero? I love the stage version too, don't get me wrong, but Jonathan Bailey brings such a tenderness to the role.
It kind of reminds me of the movie version of Raoul from Phantom of the Opera (though Wicked is a MUCH better movie). I'm not a big Raoul girlie, not because I prefer the Phantom with Christine (I'm personally team "they both suck and Christine deserves better than both of them"), but because I never really liked how Raoul didn't seem to take Christine's concerns seriously.
He always seemed so dismissive of her in the stage version, though I guess that's more accurate to the original novel. With Patrick Wilson, though, he's a lot more gentle with her. You can tell he cares about her and means well, even if he doesn't understand. The best version of Phantom, including casting, is the 25th anniversary, but I'd love to see a version with Hadley Fraser performing the role like Patrick Wilson did, if that makes sense
Anyway, no disrespect to stage!Fiyero or any of the incredible actors who have played him, but Jonathan Bailey might just be my favorite version: not just because he's a fantastic actor and singer plus he's ridiculously hot and I love the chaotic bisexual energy he brings to the role, but also because you can tell right away how much he truly cares about Elphie.

Prolonged ecto contamination can cause regenerative abilities. This is great when something important is stabbed or a limb is lost. But for other things, not so much.
“Daddy,” A five year old cried, “somethings wrong with mommy!”
Jason ran to his and his wifes room. He stopped by the door, taking in Jazz's tense still frame perched on the edge of their bed. She gazed at a small cylinder object cluched in her hands.
"Jazz?" Jason called.
She slowly lifted her gaze to him and turned the object around, revealing two pink lines.
"Is-is that an old one?" Jason stammered.
Jazz moved her head to side to side.
"Defective?"
"I've done ten of them, all the same."
But, but that couldn't be. Jason mentally floundered. After a failed vasectomy resulting in kid numer six and then a failed tube tying causeing baby number seven, Jazz had a hysterectomy.
Jason opened his mouth to address this but then remembered that their kids were in the room. It wouldn't be good for kids to witness their parents having a meltdown over a positive pregnancy test. Or discuss a possible lawsuit against a certain hospital and surgeon.
Switching gears, Jason called to his kids, "Come on tribe! To the living room for a movie."
"What about Mommy?" the five year old protested.
"Don't worry," Jason scooped up his kid and pecked her forehead. "Your dad got this," he said with way more confidence than he felt.
(OML I LITERALKY FUCKING ROLLED WHEN I SAW THIS ASK ASDFGHHKLLL THIS IS SO FUNNY BC IN MY ORIGINAL IDEAS ABIUT ANGER MANAGEMENT, THEY HAVE 5 KIDS)
Jazz stared at him blankly. Jason stared back. They both stared at each other. Then he admitted, “I don’t think I got this.”
Thank goodness their oldest, Elinor, was able to understand and distract all of her siblings. Now it was just Jason, Jazz, and their Ancient ghost dog alone to discuss what to do next.
Jazz continued staring at him, holding Shadow in her arms before she said, “Y’know, we could….”
“Don’t even start,” he said in exasperation. While he would always give her the choice, he knew that none of them would actually genuinely consider it.
She sighed. “I know. I want it anyways. It’s mine. It’s our baby.”
Her possessiveness was so cute. Jason reached over to hug her, squeezing her gently and placing his chin on her head. It was a bit difficult due to her height, but she hunched over to tuck herself into his arms, so it was a little easier.
“We’ll handle it. Together, like always. It’s not like we’re lacking in money anyways. And we have plenty of rooms and we can get help from our support groups. I can take another break from being Red Hood and you’ve never stopped your online therapy sessions, so I think we can do this.”
Jazz sighed, nodding before she suddenly groaned aloud and used a fist to hit Jason’s chest. Jason blinked. “What?”
“You know what my siblings call me?! They call Miss Weasley! At this rate, we’ll have a football team by the time we’re done!”
Jason tried not to laugh but a twitch must’ve alerted Jazz to his amusement because she looked up at him and glared. Shadow growled lightly on her lap. She scolded, “You’re giving the news to our families again. And I won’t stop Dan from trying to kill you this time.”
“Even if it makes you a single mother to 7 kids?” Jason asked idly.
Jazz paused and then she cursed softly. Jason snorted into her shoulder before Jazz then said, “I think after this, we’re using condoms again.”
Horrified, Jason lifted his head up and stared at her in disbelief and shocked horror. “What!”
“Jason! We have 7 kids now! Can I please get a break!”
Jason groaned, long and loud. Then he sighed, rubbing Jazz’s sides in faux sadness as he bemoaned, “Fine… since I love you so much… I’ll wear protection next time…”
Jazz pinched his cheek with a little narrowed eye stare and smile, shaking lightly but she said, “Thank you, dearest. We’ll handle this together, alright? It won’t be easy, but we’ve done this six times before, we can do this a seventh time. I think I should ask Dan how he does it…” she mumbled more plans to herself, as Jason just held her, closing his eyes.
If his past self was ever told that he’d have a wife and seven kids, he was sure that he’d probably snitch to the cops that someone was hallucinating.
Not that he’d ever trade this for the world, of course.

Ren owes me 24 dollars. Nahh really gimme 24 dollars. Im hungry. T_T
I really Really REALLY hope no one asked that. Becuase if someone did, then I'll be so emberassed. Im sorry! Well, anyway. The question is : If Angel had amnesia, what would be the first thing each character would say to them to summarize their relationship, history, etc.
And who would lie? A little/a lot And I just wanted to thank you! You did such an amazing job creating this game! IM LITTERALLY INLOVE WITH VIOLET AND [REDACTED] THEY'RE SUCH A CUTIES! I hope you have a wonderful day! (>u<)
(Also sorry for possible mistakes. My english is TERRIBLE.)
⌞♥⌝ Aside from Ren, I think all of the cast would tell Angel the truth. Olivia might not say anything simply because she's not exactly friends with Angel in the first place, and Teo might initially lie just to see what would happen — but for the most part, everyone else would have genuine concern and be very supportive during Angel's recovery.
Ren would subtly try to overplay Angel's relationship with him, and would probably use it to his advantage as well. Things like, "Oh, you let me visit your apartment aaaall the time! Y-You... You even gave me your spare key!", "You've always considered me as your closest friend, but... Well, you never want to hurt Leon's feelings", and "Hey, we always visit my place on Fridays to watch your favourite movies! Y-You love spending time with me!".
He wouldn't outright lie and convince Angel that he's their partner (or someone they have romantic feelings for), but he'll try to insinuate that maybe they have a deeper connection than what was originally going on.

It's time for a story you all might know!
Once upon a time a kindly old man named Gerald "Pop-pop" Robotnik wanted to make a son who was the ultimate lifeform. And the ultimate lifeform he decided on was... a hedgehog!
Tumblr media
Yeup, this thing! It just needs some red streaks and cool sneakers and teleportation powers and it'll be the peak of evolution! But the artistic process is one of trial and error! The original concept for the ultimate lifeform working title was in fact...
Tumblr media
Name: The Biolizard
Debut: Sonic Adventure 2
Oh shit! It's The Biolizard, Shadow the Hedgehog's older brother! And he's cute, right? It's not just me, The Biolizard is cute. A mouth so muppety and guns for eyes, to me The Biolizard is lovely prize...
Tumblr media
Smile! I just think it's funny we have two iterations for the ultimate life's form and they're so drastically different! I think we can all understand the urge to make a cyborg lizard before Keanu Reeves. It's THE Biolizard mind you! Biolizard is a title!
Though, come to think of it... I feel like most lizards are already pretty bio-logical. I'd say The Biolizard is less biological than most lizards! Due to the gun eyes!
Tumblr media
Oh yeah, and The Biolizard is also the final boss of Sonic Adventure 2, fusing with the space station to become a guy called Finalhazard. Cool! I'm starting to think Shadow might not be that much better than this guy. Shadow can't do that! So what if he has DNA from Space Satan?
So maybe The Biolizard just needed to be taught how to love! Maybe he was just hungry and needed a big meal of giant bug and worm. Maybe he was in constant pain from being a bioengineered abomination. We don't know. There's literally no way to know either way.
Tumblr media
What we do know, is that The Biolizard got to come back this year as a boss in Shadow Generations! Hooray! My boy, he is so textured. And is that what I think it is?
Tumblr media
Yes it is! He has teeth now! Little cute teeth, but he's not afraid of showing them off!
Tumblr media
Aaaand, we even get this nice flashback picture of little baby Biolizard! Having a bath haha :)
Tumblr media
Ooprs! Someone had a bathtime fail!
As of writing this post I haven't seen the Sonic Movie 3 so I can't talk about the cameo appearance he probably has in it. But I can talk about this!
Tumblr media
Yes! Lego Biolizard. I'm talking about it! Okay, post over now bye.
Edit: I saw the movie but I don't want to talk about it because that would be spoilers so if you leave a reply about it The Biolizard will Eat You

Things I Don't Understand of Audiences Reaction of Nosferatu 2024
Complaints of how this is a ripoff of Dracula, and I am like, of course it is! The original 1922 film is the most famous ripoff in the history of cinema, but it is also one of the best ripoffs ever. Maybe know your history just a bit.
Why are people saying that Ellen dying was stupid or unnecessary? Firstly, that has been the ending in the 1922 and the 1979 film, this wasn't just anything Eggers pulled from nowhere. Secondly, people don't seem to understand that the Gothic genre never not one that allows it's characters to walk away unscathed, whether it is physical damage or mental damage. Blood is demanded, and hardly a truly happy ending is found, at best a bittersweet ending or at worst an ending where everyone is unhappy. I think not only is it true to the films this one is based on, but also the only satisfying ending. Ellen wouldn't have been truly happy if she had survived, because she still will be a seer, she will still have darkness looming inside, and Thomas is either incapable or unwilling to accept it. He's belief that killing Orlok will bring a reset to everything, even bringing Ellen back to how she was before, but the Ellen she was before was still suffered. He brushes aside her nightmares without comfort, he doesn't take into account how she views their marriage (when she insists that she doesn't need material things but he acts as if he knows better), and when she tries to express her suffering, he would prefer her to suppress it. She would never be truly free, but to die doing a good thing, to have control over her death the way she didn't in life, it's an empowering end, if bittersweet.
People complaining about the pace of the film, saying it starts off fine but then drags in the middle? I think the film flowed wonderfully, there was never a moment when I was thinking how much longer to the end or felt it rushed in the story. I personally cannot wait until we get the extended version, but I am happy with how it came out.
Where are people getting "Orlok groomed Ellen" from? Grooming is when someone goes after a minor and gets them to be emotionally attached to them for a long period of time in order to achieve some sort of goal (often times sex). People have been saying Ellen was a "literal child", but we don't know that for certain. Yes, Ellen described herself as a child, but it seems that the term child is used more as a synonym of "inexperienced" or "young". Also, we are not sure how old any of these characters are. If we were to go by actors ages as guidelines, Lily-Rose Depp was 24 when filming this, and all we get in between the first scene to the present day is merely "years later". That can mean two years or ten, we cannot be sure. And while Lil-Rose Depp can look younger than her age, no one better try and say she was playing a 12 year old or whatever in that first scene, because there is no way you can convince me she is as young as that. Also, Ellen hadn't been emotionally attached to Orlok between the years to make it grooming. I can make a better argument of grooming in another famous Gothic movie the 2004 "Phantom of the Opera" then I could with "Nosferatu".
Listen, this movie won't be for everyone, that is fine, but what I have an issue with is saying people are dumb or evil for thinking Ellen x Orlok is interesting/has romantic elements to it. One person commented on another's post about saying that the cast are dumb for seeing this as a love triangle, especially Lily-Rose Depp for not seeing Ellen as a victim. The director, who also wrote it, wanted this version to play up the Death and the Maiden themes, that was their vision, and I don't think it's right or fair to say they are dumb because the original movie wasn't a love triangle. If we were to be really anal about it, so many pieces of media we have we wouldn't be able to enjoy because it's origins are not the same. Sorry Disney's Hunchback fans, you can't enjoy the happy ending because the original was a downer. Sorry Wicked fans, it's nothing like "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz", so it shouldn't be enjoyed. See how ridiculous it sounds? You can debate if whether or not they managed to achieve their goal, but you can't deny that was the intention and say people are dumb for picking up what they had intended.
I also feel that it's quite hypocritical of people to say that the relationship between Orlok and Ellen is evil and creepy, but then go off and say that the scenes where Friedrich has sex with Anna's corpse as "romantic" and Thomas' couch scene as "hot", when both deal with dubious/no consent at all. Just admit it, you are fine with dubious stuff so long as it's a hot guy doing it. The couch scene was quite uncomfortable for me, Ellen is clearly not in her right mind, even if not by some kind of possession, but emotionally, and it didn't sit right what Thomas did. I am not saying he raped her, but she wasn't in the right mind space to have this be a passionate moment. And he wasn't doing because of love or passion, he was doing it because he didn't like hearing Ellen say how he couldn't please her like the Count could. We had seen what they are like when they are in a good head space and the feeling mutual, as we saw in the den of the Harding's home. I feel like this scene wasn't meant to be a hot and sexy moment, but a incredibly distressing moment when two individuals are acting at their worst.
I don't understand how people feel that this film isn't a feminist film. I've seen people claim that the movie shames Ellen and that her not finding out how to stop Orlok is robbing her of her agency. Here's the thing, yes, many characters shame her for what she feels, but the narrative doesn't. As the audience, we feel sorry for her, feel bad for everything she is going through, and given the time period, of course there would be many people (mainly men) who will shame her passions or deny her darkness in favor for a more "womanly behavior". We are meant to see how the human world would never understand Ellen the way Orlok would understand her, why she would have called out a force that is inhuman, because humanity has turned her away. What's fascinating is that Ellen has control of Orlok, being able to call him, speak to him as an equal, and get him, a powerful centuries old being, to admit that she is his affliction, his weakness, and in the end, it's proven right. This mortal woman is able to defeat a supernatural being, all the while him loving her, how is that not awesome and feminist?
In regards to her finding the cure; true, in both the '22 and '79 film, Ellen figure out on her own what needs to be done to stop Orlok, but that doesn't mean '24 Ellen isn't smart or in charge of her own actions. We've seen Ellen say what the future holds multiple times, so it isn't crazy to believe that she would have seen what her fate would have been as it drew closer, and her need to talk to Von Franz read to me as her knowing the cure. When Ellen walks Von Franz to his home, she says that she knows what must be done, and they work together to make this happen, with him promising to keep Thomas away. Out of all the men, Von Franz had been the only one to take her feelings and thoughts seriously, and he does so here, including her in the plan (where Thomas had refused her to help), even giving her the chance to be stop Orlok without interruption. He isn't denying her agency, he's keeping others at bay so she can be the hero.
I like the moustache, just like a Romanian nobleman would have had, exactly what the director wanted. After leaving the theatre, my friend and I were discussing the film, and of course the design of Orlok was brought up, and she said "I liked it, especially the moustache, very Vlad the Impaler". She isn't a massive Dracula fan but she understood what was the inspiration behind it. Y'all are just uncultured swine.
In the end, I love this film, and wanted to just share my two cents.

I finally watched Sonic 3!!!!! (IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE)
Tumblr media
I had been holding back so I could talk without worrying about spoilers, but I think I can now comment on my general opinion of the movie.
There will be spoilers, so you have been warned!
I’ll admit that I found the first act a bit rushed. I understand that they had a lot of characters to “reintroduce” and new ones to add (especially Shadow), but I felt a bit lost with what was happening—it was really convenient how the script handled a lot of things just to get to the point.
For example: Shadow attacking in Japan with no real explanation, Rockwell quickly finding Sonic and the others. Even Commander Walters showed up just to explain what happened in the past, only to die unexpectedly right after. Even though he's not a particularly memorable character, I felt like his death didn’t carry the weight it should have, even for Team Sonic who witnessed it.
There was also the fact that a lot of what happened in the first act had already been revealed in the trailers and TV spots, which kind of deflated my excitement, knowing what was going to happen. But as I said, things were happening so fast that I couldn’t process all the information right away! XD
I have to say, I absolutely love the interactions between all the characters. The relationships and how they were developed felt so unique to me. I’ve always had the headcanon that Knuckles, Tails, and Sonic acted like siblings, and in the movies, I got to witness that in a meaningful and very loving way (shoutout to Tails saving Sonic and Knuckles protecting them, my boys <3).
One of my favorite scenes is definitely the argument between Knuckles and Sonic, as it really shows their maturity. It shows how much they are changing with each movie, which is so valuable to me because it demonstrates that the characters are really learning from their experiences. In a franchise, this deepens their moral journey and enriches who they are — it’s truly wonderful.
Speaking of siblings, I can’t not talk about Maria and Shadow. Right from the beginning, I could already feel the heartache hearing Live and Learn in an acoustic version. I think for fans who know how iconic this song is for the franchise, the idea that MARIA COULD HAVE BEEN THE ORIGINAL COMPOSER of it (at least in the SCU) hits so hard.
The narrative of Shadow talking about Maria always moved me, and the film managed to emphasize what she meant to Shadow in such a sweet way. Seeing the scene where Shadow recalls the day of the accident and then carrying the Eclipse Cannon gave me chills.
The parallels between Sonic/Shadow and Tom/Maria were something I was really looking forward to! The franchise often makes these types of comparisons between characters, not just in the games but also in the movies. As I mentioned before, I think this makes everything richer — it gives you a new perspective and helps you understand the complexity of characters by revisiting the "same memory" through a different person. I love when they do that!
ABOUT THE FIGHT SCENES, ALL OF THEM. I was breathless! I have to confess I was cursing A LOT during the third act. It was so epic, something you wouldn’t even think you'd see! Super Form battles were such a great concept for the situation, seeing Sonic get so angry really fed my fan dream of seeing him want to destroy everything XDD. Shadow literally crushed him, both physically and mentally. He REALLY IS THE STAR of this movie. The whole year was his. And he delivered in every possible media!
((I screamed so much when they did the pose, Live and Learn, it was so epic.))
Jim Carrey’s performance is always amazing. I’m still stunned at how naturally Gerald and Eggman felt together. It really seemed like a completely different actor, and that’s insane! I think the only thing I wish we’d seen more of was scenes between Gerald and Maria in the past, but who knows, maybe they’re planning something for a "Shadow solo spin-off."
The light shines, even when the star dies. – I was already emotionally losing it inside, there were just so many things to process.
AND THE POST-CREDITS SCENE HAUSFHSAIFHGVSNUHGUSAHGUSAH
OK OK I’M >TOTALLY< NORMAL ABOUT MY BABIES
Literally my two FAVORITES showed up. METAL WILL BE THE MAIN VILLAIN, I have so many theories and DEFINITELY it will be an adaptation of Heroes and CD. I CAN'T WAIT to see him in action, the whole Artificial vs. Natural thing is something that really resonates with me in the rivalry between him and Sonic.
AND HAUSHFUASFHUASFH AMY MY GIRL!!!
Tumblr media
She’s so cool, she appeared in SUCH A UNIQUE way, the cracked moon in the background, revealing herself by taking off the hood... I can’t wait to see her in 2027... I need it so much aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I definitely loved the movie a lot. I still want to rewatch it in English since I saw it dubbed in my language, but I think I’d give it an 8.5/10 or 9/10! YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS MOVIE!! I’m still shaking remembering the action scene sahufzahghaghs

Neil’s Photos
I'm still on my reposting spree! I did love these hc lists I guess. I like to think that Neil absolutely covers the walls of his apartment in pictures because it reminds him that he has family now, especially after Andrew gifts him a camera. So I present to you, pictures that can be found around the Josten-Minyard apartment:
There are so many pictures of the cats
Just the cats sunbathing in the window, playing with their toys, eating
One picture that Andrew really loves of Sir and King in the bath. Sir looks absolutely content and relaxed, but King is NOT having it
Neil managed to catch one of King jumping off the counter and at Nicky when he was visiting
Nicky is in the process of running away and King looks vicious
There’s (obviously) a ton of exy-related pictures, even though it’s hard for Neil to have his camera during practice and after games
One of Matt smiling at Neil behind the camera and pointing to the scoreboard of a game they won
One of Allison carrying an exhausted Renee bridal style off the court. They’re both smiling ever so softly at each other
One of Nicky and Aaron clacking sticks in lieu of high-fiving
There are at least five pictures of Andrew staring menacingly at the camera (Neil) from the goal
There’s one where Kevin is perched atop Matt’s shoulders during practice looking absolutely goofy, something he doesn’t often look during exy practices
One of Allison and Nicky hip-bumping after SLAYING their homophobic opponents
(Neil got that one from the sidelines after getting benched for punching said homophobic opponents)
One of Kevin and Wymack tearfully embracing after Kevin won his last game at PSU
One of all of them (the original nine) at the girls' last game
Allison is holding Renee’s hand and holding Seth's jersey in the other, Kevin is sandwiched in between the twins, Nicky and Neil have their arms around each other, and Dan and Matt are laying on their sides in front of the group
There’s one of Kevin fist-bumping Neil at one of their late night practices, and they both look so happy (Andrew took it from the bleachers but if anyone asks he denies and says it must have been the phantom of the exy stadium)
There are also a bunch of miscellaneous photos from their time at PSU
Kevin passed out in the booth at Eden’s
Andrew eating the last of Neil’s ice cream at Sweetie’s and flipping off the camera
Kevin and Andrew studying together
Aaron and Katelyn holding hands on the sidewalk
Nicky and Allison gossiping while baking cookies
Matt giving Dan a kiss on the cheek on the dorm couch
There’s one picture of everyone laying on the ground sleeping after one of their impromptu movie nights and sleep overs
The girls painting each other’s nails
Renee and Andrew sparring-Neil likes this specific one because Renee looks particularly badass (he warms up to Renee and watches them pretty regularly to try and pick up some moves)
Kevin flipping Aaron the bird while simultaneously laughing at something he said
Everyone smiling at the camera from the dinner table at Abby’s house for Thanksgiving
One of Andrew on the roof, illuminated only by the moon and his cigarette lighter, with his hair rumpled and he’s looking less apathetic than usual
One of Betsy and Andrew drinking iced coffee together at the campus coffee shop
Even after they all graduate Neil is as vigilant as ever
Matt and Dan exchanging vows at their wedding
Nicky holding up his hand and showing off his engagement ring while he and Erik share a kiss in the background
Aaron smiling with Katelyn after he graduates med school
Aaron and Andrew each holding a twin with Katelyn dead asleep in the hospital bed right after the twins were born
Kevin, his wife, Wymack, and Abby on the day of Kevin’s wedding-he had called them Mom and Dad in his speech and everyone looks suspiciously misty-eyed
Dan and Matt surrounded by their kids in their kitchen while they cook dinner for Andrew and Neil who are visiting
Nicky, on the ground of the animal shelter, surrounded by dogs as he tries to choose which one to adopt-Erik is looking adoringly at him from off to the side
Abby and Wymack on their couch, yelling at the TV while watching one of Kevin’s games
Allison and Renee sitting on a blanket in the park with their kids during a picnic with Andrew and Neil. They’re all wearing matching sun hats and they all look ethereal
There are a couple of pictures of friends Neil meets after he and Andrew settle down in Denver, sitting together at restaurants and bars
A BUNCH of Andrew sleeping around the apartment
On the couch, on the floor, sitting up in a chair, sprawled out on the balcony, in bed
There are also many pictures of Andrew and Neil together during their travels,  but Neil’s favorite is them under the Eiffel Tower because Andrew turned his head at the last second to give Neil a kiss on the cheek
There’s only one picture of just Neil, and Andrew took it. Neil is holding a cigarette and leaving over the rail of their balcony, and he looks beautiful against the city skyline. Andrew unabashedly frames it and puts it on his bedside table because, “I like having pictures of people who mean the most to me, too, junkie.”
Well I know that was just me rambling and this list is littered with my own personal headcanons with absolutely no background or context given, but I love this concept and had to write it. I hope you enjoyed!

Remembering this PHENOMENAL Greek song and made me think of Thetis
youtube
Oh! And where shall I throw my great pain Where I shall do so the earth shall split open The earth shall split open And the mountain will crack! * Oh sun, you murderer How could you let this evil befall! They killed the Booted Eagle and the Morning Star! Down at the crossroad they killed the young man! Down at the crossroad they killed the young man! * And the girls have let their hair loose So that you grab from somewhere, eagle grab from somewhere, eagle so that you climb from oblivion * Oh, sun, you murderer How could you let this evil befall They killed the Booted Eagle and the Morning Star! Down at the crossroad they killed the young man! Down at the crossroad they killed the young man!
This song comes from an AMAZING dramatic Greek movie made in the 1970s called Αστραπόγιαννος (Astrapogiannos -> Lightning-John) which basically speaks on the life of people in the last centuries who were trying to resist the difficulties and the regimes of that time and the protagonist was a brave young man who lived like a legend in the mountain. The song plays at the time this character dies at the end of the movie. The title of the song is "Μοιρολόι" aka "Mourning song" also known as "Ήλιε φονια" "Sun, you murderer". The song was also censored and the lyrics changed. Instead of the lyrics we see here "Down at the crossroads they killed the young man" the original lyrics went so: Παρασκευή Μεγάλη σταυρώσαν τον Χριστό Great Friday they crucified Christ However the newer version of the song without the christian implication seemed to fit more for the ancient Greek standards here not that the original lyrics were not powerful or important. On the contrary. Lyrics: Τάσος Λειβαδίτης (Tassos Livaditis) Music: Μίμης Πλέσσας (Mimis Plessas)
Now people speak on the lament of many characters of the Epic Cycle in particular of Achilles but what about the lament of his mother? How would she feel when suddenly the body of her sun was brought before her? Even if she was prepared for his death, I wonder indeed. So this song popped up in my brain.
THE MOTHER'S PAIN!
The implications of earth splitting open and mountains cracking by the pain of the person who sings did give me implications of laments of mothers in Greek mythology such as Demeter so in one way I imagined the pain of Thetis who already knew her son was mortal anyways would feel this pain deep (plus earth splitting open as image of the underworld too, again abduction of Persephone and all)
"Oh sun you murderer!" I so loved how PERFECTLY this fits because according to some versions Achilles was killed by Paris because Apollo (solar deity) helped him aim. Somehow Thetis lamenting against Apollo seemed great!
The Booted Eagle in Greek is also called Σταυραετός (Stavraetos -> Cross-bearing Eagle). A bird of prey who usually hunts in the morning. In Greek literature is a sign of pride and power (and of course the cross implications is also a signal of christian faith in Greece) it is also a sign of freedom which was used a lot as a parallel with Greek fighters especially young and vigorous ones. Also reminds me my conversation with @smokey07 where we said that Achilles resembles an eagle.
Morning Star also known in Greek as Αυγερινός (Avgerinos -> Of the dawn) or Αποσπερίτης (Aposperitis -> The one who finishes the night) is referred to the star that appears a little before dawn in the sky before the first light is often used in Greek literature and poetic language as a parallel to youth especially young men and especially those who died young because of the way the morning star appears for very little in the sky. (Yes now I definitely think Thetis might call Achilles "morning star")
"Down at the crossroads they killed the young man" Obviously referring to the death of Achilles amidst battle by the walls of Troy
Also "THEY killed him", Thetis lamenting to the gods on how the Trojans killed her son somehow rings in my brain!
Girls letting their hair loose is an ancient Greek custom of showing pain and sorrow during mourning, we already see that in mourning scenes so I imagined Thetis calling women for mourning like that
The image of someone grabbing the hair of his mourners (those who remember the dead!) to climb out of the oblivion of death not only is such a HAUNTING image but also seems to fit PERFECTLY for Achilles!
My other Greek song dedication on Penelope is here

Jade’s bass playing to grow or move the lilypads works, and was well foreshadowed – in addition to both her bass playing pages where the garden atrium grows because of the amp in there (p.822, 1026), Jade captchalogues the bass (p.823) and the narration specifically notes ‘You take the PORTABLE AMP from the WALL SOCKET too.’ It feels like Act 3 has been entirely leading up to Jade entering these ruins.
In ‘[S] Jade: Pester John’ (p.1073), Bec guards the mystic ruins on Jade’s island, and a glowing white spirograph in the ‘same’ location mapped onto Prospit. So it’s a fair guess that the white spirograph was also present on ancient Earth, and may have been the cause of the ruins’ construction. And that means it might still be within the ruins, and could act as a portal to Skaia, which would allow Jade to go there while she’s awake. If she did that, could she travel to Prospit and find her own dream self? Or is her dream self only present on Prospit when her waking self is asleep? Either way, I think these ruins will be Jade’s backdoor into Sburb.
I love all three of these Jade pages for the visuals – 1145 because it’s cool when two panels match up into one bigger one (and interesting to think about why this was chosen instead of one bigger panel – maybe because one is Jade and one is the amp, and they’re two separate focal points?) and 1146 because Jade imagining herself as a frog as she jumps over lilypads is so fun and silly. I checked Wikifur and apparently amphibians such as frogs are classified under scalies, which is different to her interest in a ‘proud snout’, ‘the hunt’ and ‘claiming the night’ (p.797) but still fits with her desire for ‘a more visceral sapience’ and escaping the confines of humanity. So I feel like Jade doesn’t have one specific fursona, and wants to keep her options open with different animals.
And 1147 is just incredible – the glowing green symbols look like something from a hacker movie, like Jade’s entering a digital space, but at the same time we know this is physical stone and ancient hieroglyphs. Those things being meshed is very cool to me, and it makes me wonder just how much of all human technology was originally from Skaia. The mesmerizing soft glow gives the page a dreamlike quality, a reminder that Jade doesn’t have a plan, she’s just following instructions from her dreams and acting on faith.
John told Dave ‘i think you should use your copy of the game to help [rose]!’ on page 294, and it has taken 854 pages and over half a year in real time for him to install the game and help, but they are finally making this transpire. I was saying yesterday how Jade challenges Rose, and today I’m saying that Dave doesn’t challenge Rose at all. They have great banter, but Rose always has a leg up on it – and I think she types and/or thinks faster too, as she gets in her ‘Go on.’ before Dave can finish his ‘where making this’ sentence, when usually he’s the one to send a bunch of messages in a row.
Here’s the thing. I am speaking directly to Rose Lalonde here. Hi Rose, I understand that your house is burning down and things suck right now and you should not have to be the person who has to micromanage all your friends and deal with this entire situation alone. However. You are being dumb as shit by not giving Dave some basic instructions on exactly what to do the second he loads the game. You know that kid is not gonna read your GameFAQs. You know he can dish out those giant long monologues but he cannot take them. Please Rose, for your own safety and possibly the future of humanity or something, give the guy like three bullet points.
...no? Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff reference instead? Okay then.
This update also comes with a newspost, which I’m going to quote in full below.
That's my cue to disappear. Time for me to vanish into the animation abyss for a while. Let's give it a week, tops. If you're one of those people who has trouble keeping up with all the updates I bury you with, maybe now's a good time to catch up. And if you're one of those people who's finding everything going on in the story to be somewhat confusing and overwhelming, then maybe now is a good time to go back and reread it all. I'm pretty sure about 95% of all MSPA readers huddle somewhere beneath this umbrella. (/news 8 January 2010)
I have been thinking about the update frequency, and thought I was projecting because I definitely put an above average amount of time into Homestuck, but maybe this is a bigger issue. People only have so much time in the day, but some people do have more time than others. Relative to other webcomics, Homestuck asks readers to put a lot more time into it, a lot more frequently – both because the updates come fast and because the story is complex. It rewards people who do put a lot of time into it, because the small details, patterns and parallels, time loops, etymologies, and opportunities to predict and even influence (via user commands) the story encourage people to stay up to date, to read closely and reread often. The more effort you put into reading Homestuck, the more you get out of it, and that’s incredible, but it’s definitely made by and for people who have a lot of leisure time. So, young middle class people, especially teenagers and college students who don’t need jobs, and people who are socially isolated for whatever reason, will be way overrepresented. (I do this project because I love it and I do it by choice, but balancing this with work and school and relationships and my other major hobby is not easy especially with what’s felt like a recent increase in update frequency!)
This quality also makes it more competitive with other webcomics – someone might have time to keep up with, say, 20 webcomics that post a once per day or three times a week strip that stands alone or is part of a relatively simple story. If that person wants to follow Homestuck, they might have to drop down to 15 or even 10 other comics, because this one takes up such a disproportionate amount of space. This idea of creators putting out constant content to stay afloat on a transient internet, such that it could be a full time job to keep up with it (and sometimes is – there’s franchises that have in-house lore experts because creators themselves struggle to keep track of stories) will become huge in the future. And when we can all only pick a couple pieces of media to stay up to date with, life gets harder for smaller, newer and part time creators, who can’t provide that yet. And yeah I’m probably part of that problem.
I might also disappear for a few days to work on end of act 3 stuff! or I might not! if I have anything to say in the meantime or any fun asks then I will post. but at the absolute latest I will post on the day EOA3 drops and if I don’t do that then send an ambulance to my house.

Loved all your info about Empyrean with my last ask and left comments/reblog to it, and so sorry to spam your asks especially when you’re still working on this idea, but I’m just curious and want to hear whatever ramblings you’d like to share!
You mentioned Heartslabyul being inspired by Europe with a dash of volcanos via borders and I’m sure there’s going to be lots of references to the regions of origin for the fairytales/Disney movies for each. But are there other places of the world you’re drawing inspiration from, whether in real life or from Genshin too?
You’ve given teasers about Leona and Idia, along with the original premise post for a few of the other archons, are there any other backstories you’ve been developing for the archons or even the other characters?
Again, sorry to spam your asks but the more I look into Genshin, the more I’m excited by Empyrean and wishing you all the best in writing~!
So if y'all recall, my biggest qualm with Genshin Impact was the amalgamation of cultures and cultures as costume. I am NOT trying to do that here. However, here's the problem when it comes to implementing the twst x genshin au: a majority of the stories are based in Europe or have European origins. So that means that most of the world, if we go by that logic, would be European, which doesn't sit right with me.
So for story's sake, I think I'll imply in the story that the seven nations are the ones of the known world, and the most recognized due to their archon's power. I've considered maybe changing the setting of a nation, but that doesn't exactly sit right with me either. So that's why I stated here and like I said, it will be implied in the story, that there is another part of the world not even really known. That being said, I probably won't lean too heavily into the cultural aspect of the story. However, there will be mentions here and there. Keep in mind though, I belong to none of these cultures, so I'll try to research to the best of my ability but it's also why, like I just said, I don't want to heavily into the cultural aspect of the story, because by no means do I want to get something wrong and offend anyone.
Here's my thought process for the inspiration of each. Keep in mind, this is still very much a work in progress.
Heartslabyul: British Isles
If you thought this was gonna be any other place, then what the hell are you thinking? Riddle definitely has a British accent. The tea, the tarts, all that stuff? Very British, if you ask me. Of course there's the fact that the original author of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is from Britain.
Savanaclaw: East Africa
After bit of research, I found several things. Such as the fact that many of the names from The Lion King movie are based off the Swahili language. Zulu is apparently also spoken in the opening song, The Circle of Life. Additionally, the Pride Lands are said to be set in either Tanzania or Kenya.
Octavinelle: Scandinavia(?)
I know a lot of people like to debate where The Little Mermaid takes place, but I'm basing this on the origins of the author, as he is Danish. Also, if you recall, I believe there's in game dialogue where one of the Octavinelle characters mentions how ice often makes it difficult for them to return home, thus suggesting that their homeland is very cold. Originally I did want to add a tropical location, but this complicates things.
Scarabia: Arabian Peninsula(?)
Yes, yes, there's the fact that the movie of Aladdin takes inspiration from Indian and other Southeast Asian cultures, but from what I've seen, the story seems to mainly derive from Arabic cultures. Aside for the fact that the story of Aladdin is said to come from the Islamic Golden Age and is from a collection of Middle Eastern folktales. If you research names like Kalim or Jamil, they do have Arabic origins.
Pomefiore: Central/Eastern Europe(?)
We all know the Brothers Grimm, yes? Authors of many fairytales, one of which being Snow White. Well, they're German. And, I mean, the archon is going to be Vil SCHOENHEIT, if that's not German sounding last name, then I dunno what is. Why did I include Eastern Europe? Because I personally HC a lot of the characters with accents and the accent I imagine Epel with is some type of Slavic. God, I love creative freedom.
Ignihyde: Greece
This one isn't even a debate. I don't gotta say why.
Diasomnia: Western Europe(?)
It is said that one of the earliest records of Sleeping Beauty was in a French book. If we look at some of the inspiration from the movie, it's said to take place in a French medieval kingdom. So yeah, it just made sense in my mind.

Idea for a future Shadow, Amy, and Rouge movie/mini series/ TV special that would take place after the 4th movie.
Spoilers: You know the drill
They combine the Team Dark plotline from Sonic Heroes with the Black Doom stuff from the Shadow the Hedgehog game.
I think we all know an amnesia plotline would be pointless in the movies. So instead, how about they finally introduce Rouge. We can't have her working for GUN in her debut since they just keep leaving a stink on the Sonic cinematic universe.
Amy finds Shadow, and she drags him around, kind of like she did to Silver. We dont know where Shadow landed. She reminds him of Maria, and he takes Sonic's advice about new love and finding family to heart. Just taking the natural route for their dynamic that Sega refused to expand on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He follows her, mostly quiet, mostly observing. Amy engages with him. Just full of energy, being herself. Not a one to one of Maria, but more casual. Amy is just enjoying the world. A world Shadow never got to experience.
And Amy takes care of Shadow, holding his hand, answering his call. She doesn't even know she's doing it. That's just who she is. Shadow occasionally recoils from the light coming off her. Maria's light. The story would be about that connection and helping Shadow adjust.
Tumblr media
Rouge gets introduced as someone drawn to the explosion of chaos energy in space like Knuckles and Tails were. My original thought was that she was searching for the Master Emerald, too. But that might have to change.
There was no Space Colony Ark. So, how would Gerald and Black Doom have communicated without a fuss? Maybe Black Doom had an envoy?
Perhaps Rouge's people could be servants traveling across the Galaxy under orders. Minor scouts. Expendable. Only given minimal information for their tasks. But Rouge is a sneaky creature, lasting this long due to cunning and gathering info.
When Gerald's Eclipse Cannon goes off, the Black Arms recognize the energy as their creation. They send Rouge to check it out. Rouge would be the B plot. Keeping track of her progress with Amy and Shadow in the background.
She arrives at the military base. Finds it empty. She doesn't pay mind to the wreckage like Sonic would. She goes through the tunnels.
Back to Amy and Shadow: Eventually, as they traveled the world together (with Shadows' underlying angst), Shadow tells Amy that he needs to get/do something. Something important. Something he didn't think he would need to before. (After all, the plan was for everyone to die, including him and Gerald)
Tumblr media
Amy being Amy says she'll go with him. If he'll let her. She knows he's not telling her everything. But she's willing to wait.
When they get to the base, Amy sticks by his side, looking around, because this was his home. Shadow is still pained. Maybe he tells Amy that he had a friend here.
Rouge's presence is made known. This infuriates Shadow like it did when Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails intruded. Like a tormented ghost haunting a grave site. His energy starts bouncing off him, and Rouge recognizes it from what she saw when receiving her mission.
Rouge is caught. So, of course, Rouge blends in, like she always has. She engages with Shadow and Amy.
She plays herself off as a treasure hunter/explorer. Someone searching for rare artifacts and specimens, but was drawn in by the massive energy beam that came from this planet a while back. Saying she came to learn what it was.
Of course, Shadow is hesitant to say anything about that to either of the girls. Though Rouge already suspects that he's the result of Black Arms DNA.
Tumblr media
They explore past the tunnels. I believe they would find a robot friend down there. A seemingly unfinished thing that reminds Amy of the metal hedgehogs she fought before. Only closer in design to the egg bots. Almost like a prototype, but not quite.
Shadow knows what it is. Another Gerald Robotnik discovery. (Opens up a future for Gamma and Omega after the Metal Sonic stuff. Personally, I think Gamma)
Maybe they come across the Biolizard down there. Dead or barely alive. Resting, possibly. Or Shadow simply has a flashback of the Biolizard hanging on to life, that he wasn't the only one confined to this place. Possible Shadow feelings on his predecessors?
Rouge is smoothly digging through old Project Shadow files the whole journey, but still being, well, Rouge.
Amy is unsure about the bat. Maybe even confronts Rouge at one point, saying that if this goes bad for him or Shadow is hurt in any way, she'll have to answer to Amy Rose. Protective of this quiet, overwhelmed boy that she found.
Of course, Rouge isn't nearly as repentant(yet) on the other side of Amy's little confrontation
Tumblr media
We keep searching. Shadow learns about and recognizes the horrors of Gerald's experiments. What it may have taken to complete him. He doubts his own purpose. Emotional support hedgehog Amy Rose works to put a stop to that.
We only saw his eyes surrounded by rock, and he said he had no memories beyond earth.
We learn about the Black Arms. Why even the doctors looked at Shadow the way they did. Maybe Shadow wasn't fully formed when he crashed on earth. Why? Where did he come from? What did he come from?
Rouge is suave while she guides them in the direction of Shadow's past. Amy tells him he doesn't need to do this if he's not ready. Shadow has no idea where he came from, how he got here.
Well, now is his chance to know.
Tumblr media
So, they go run across the world using Rouge's rings. The current GUN doesn't have the answers. They search through Walter's old stuff.
And that's how Shadow would learn about Black Doom. What deal was it that Gerald made.
Maria didn't seem to be sick in the movie, and there was no indication whatsoever that Shadow was ever going to be used for cures or medicine. The only thing we know is that they were obsessed with his energy.
What is Rouge's Endgame? Is she supposed to bring Shadow back with her? Is she meant to trigger something? Is there a beacon? Are the Black Arms coming here?
So yeah, that's my theory.
Hopefully, Shadow will be with his girls at some point, having an arc.

every reference and easter egg in how to disappear (or at least all the ones i can remember)
how many did you catch? Massive SPOILERS under the cut!!
baba yaga (Barbara Yaga, her ownership of the house ian rents is one of the few things carried over from the original wilde life au concept that i was going for in the first chapter)
i wanted to name the town in Oklahoma something weird and a little creepy but not use a real place. the thing is Oklahoma already pretty much has towns named with every weird creepy combo of words possible (seriously, go skim a map sometime, you will see some wild stuff). In the end i decided on Owl Creek because it's a real name but it's actually not one place, but the name of multiple waterways all across the state. 👍
the rainbow fuck you socks are real socks (i used a photo of them as the cover for the how to disappear playlist) that @michellemisfit sent to me as a gift, i couldnt resist using them in the story.
Glenchad's technique for haunting/traumatizing Ian is inspired by the x-files episode How the Ghosts Stole Christmas
Glen himself is based on and named after Glen McReynolds from one of my favorite movies: Everybody Wants Some!! (the little inside joke i have with myself is that Glenchad hates Ian because Glen in the movie hates pitchers, and in one of my favorite fics, Love is a Ballfield, Ian is a pitcher.) (yeah it gets pretty convoluted inside my brain lol)
the infomercial ian watches on one of the local tv stations is a real product that i found by googling for the weirdest products sold through infomercials
the channel LOCAL 58 is of course an easter egg for the analog horror series by Kris Straub (of whom im a big fan)
the title of the fic itself is also a reference to another work by Kris Straub, a book of short psychological horror stories called Ichor Falls: A Visitor's Guide
mickeyism nickname "livestrong" is of course a reference to famous cyclist Lance Armstrong
Norma's is named for Norma Jennings, a character from Twin Peaks who owns and operates the Double R Diner, a major location used in the TV series.
I was a huge Newsies fan and had a crush on half the cast of the movie as a tween. Christian Bale wasn't my personal favorite but I figured he'd be the most recognizable reference for the general audience!
mickeyism nickname "Cowboy" was the newsie-name that Christian Bale's character went by in Newsies.
Ian and his Taco Bell drop off: I searched food delivery reddits for common horror stories from delivery drivers and turns out the prank of telling a driver there is a cash tip tucked somewhere on the front porch and then watching/filming (and possibly even posting to the internet) the person searching fruitlessly for the tip is disgustingly not uncommon.
the "old-as-fuck British sitcom set in a department store" is Are Your Being Served? - a show i simply remember being on all the time on the local PBS stations back when we still had TV and would just have to watch whatever was on!
Mickey refers to Oklahoma City as "The City" which is the way many locals refer to it.
I had to include Ian getting an order for Subway as a little homage to one of my absolute favorite fics of all time: Intro to Quantum Dating by @spoonfulstar
Ian is flying down the road on his bicycle bearing a single meatlover's footlong. - this is a joke about Ian's giant penis. But he is also actually delivering a meatlover's footlong.
"John D" - is short for John Doe because of course they wouldnt register for the grubhub app with a real name.
the werewolf pack was a little bit inspired by the Hale family from Teen Wolf, the werewolves from grizzly hills in world of warcraft, and the aesthetic of the broke-ass snobby british aristocrats from The Gentlemen TV series.
"Mother Selene" referenced by the pack leader just before the werewolves transform, refers to Selene the Greek goddess of the moon. There's heaps of history from all over europe on the origins of the werewolf myth. for my werewolves i chose to go with the ancient Greeks since "lycanthropy" is a greek word and i had decided that in this universe, the greek gods were fey. Selene was a powerful fey who created lycanthropy and tied the malady to the moon, she made herself the center of a cult of worship and used her werewolves as a vicious personal army to torment and control the humans who lived in what she considered to be her domain. When Ian reaches the center of the hedge maze, the statue he climbs is a statue of Selene (ian mistakes her crescent moon crown she is usually depicted with for horns).
ian in his mind refers to the werewolves as lunatics, just a little tease as the etymology of the word is a madness caused by the moon.
i decided vampires are one of the few things in this universe that dont exist, Mickey references the myth as originating from Bram Stoker's Dracula (though he doesnt specify this), a book that one could argue is about real estate. which is both a joke but also please read this incredible post by @gardenerian because its also...not not not a joke.
as a huge fan of Two of Your Earth Minutes by @the-rat-wins, i absolutely HAD to work in a joke in which mickey calls Ian an alien
in chapter 4 the vibe i wanted to capture for Norma's was that of Merlotte's Bar and Grill from True Blood, and many of the characters are based off of or named after True Blood characters.
Eric is named after Eric Northman
Dawn and Tara and Jessica are all characters who at some point were waitresses at Merlotte's. (Though later I realized Dawn and Tara are also iconic Buffy characters, which I happily retcon as being an extra reference)
Glen being a fan of China Beach is a reference to Jenny Nicholson's incredible feature length video essay about the vampire diaries tv series
the fey named paula is named after canon ian and mickey's PO from season 10
the fey named cooper is named after agent dale cooper from twin peaks
aunt barb trades her chickens for an RV - a convoluted reference to the myth of baba yaga having a hut that can move around on giant chicken legs.
okay....i think that's it?? for now anyway~ xoxo

Okay, my bad. Clearly I wasn't being direct enough. Let's take this step by step.
1. Nowhere in this post - this specific post - do you specify anything more than agreeing with anon, who claims 'fiction affects reality". The bans on violence etc I mention fall under the same logic that you're using to say certain topics are being "romanticized" - for instance, let's look at GTA 5, where all of the main characters are criminals who don't really have an issue with killing people. If people operated on the logic you describe, there should be a noticeable trend of young men shooting people over dumb shit or driving recklessly or a myriad other illegal acts because they did it in GTA and it was cool in-game.
2. There's a lot of assumptions being made that make the director in the first image seem problematic. First of all, lolicon isn't an exclusively sexual orientation. I know an ace guy who's a diehard lolicon. Even if it were sexual, it would be a sub-category of schediaphilia, or the love of drawings (cartoons, if you will), which naturally doesn't translate into the real world. Further, being a self-described lolicon doesn't mean the director can't make tasteful art. Speaking of, the post is too vague, so I couldn't find exactly what this is about. There doesn't seem to be a manga nor a movie called "Nobody Dies" that's relevant here. Thirdly, lots of films feature underage people. The reason you're alarmed is purely out of the misconception that lolicons even care about real girls and, further, that the director would absolutely make them film something bad.
3. Zone and Shadman aren't representative of the community and, believe you me, lolicons hate them too. Using real kids or the identity of real kids in your art is fuckin deplorable and it doesn't take a genius to understand that. It ain't the same as those soulless, identity-less drawings that look more like aliens than humans. For all I care, the day those two die, nobody will feel sorry for them.
4. Sexualizing rape has damn near always been one of the staples of romance novels aimed at women. I'm not even joking. Predictably, they still don't enjoy actually being raped or raping others. Same goes for abuse - rather, there's even more of that in those novels. Pretty sure incest is relatively common also.
Look, any topic you can really pick, I'm gonna say the same - is it happening to fictional characters that we couldn't possibly mistake for real people? Yes? Then there's no issue.
5. Is Vivz a fucking hack that would probably shrivel up like a dried grape if someone actually showed her a good story? Yes. Does she overuse themes of abuse and rape only to use them incorrectly and make a laughingstock of her characters? Sure. I have no issue flaming her and her shitty work til the end of days, especially since she got a lot of people's hopes up. The idea of a fair representation of minorities (esp based on sexual and gender orientation) in an interesting setting and with good art (the character sheets for the original designs actually look dope as hell) had people hooked immediately. It's just that Vivz fumbled the bag so hard she barely has any honest fans left. Her stupid ass art still had no effect on reality.
6. Again. The ban on violent games, just like the ban on alcohol, just like the ban on certain topics in filmography back in the 80s (I think) - you know, the whole "No alcoholism, no addiction, no bad guy winning etc" thingamabob - and your call for policing certain topics so the people don't romanticize them; those all come from the same place, use the same logic. And they're all stupid as hell.
Oh also. "Rape / murder / being bald / any other topic isn't funny" is just. Not true. You can make anything funny. In fact, laughing has evolved to be a means to allow people to come to terms with certain things. I can laugh at fat jokes despite being fat because the whole point of a (good) fat joke is actually to make me feel comfortable with the fact. Like, c'mon. Or, say, people who make Hitler jokes - they don't do it because they like Hitler, they do it to make fun of him. To make light of his atrocities not for the sake of dismissing them, but to bring people closure. The fact that you can laugh about your issues, genuinely laugh, ensures they no longer hold power over you.
I literally dare the "fiction doesn't affect reality" people/proshits (or whatever tf they want to call themselves) to say that shit to the girl who nearly died because her friends thought Slenderman was real.
This too! 👆🏾

I'm just saying that I don't think a Tom Cruise character would call / take a call from his love interest in the middle of a high-stakes, super-tense action sequence. I also don't think a Jason Statham character would do it, or a Mark Wahlberg, or even a Dwayne the Rock Johnson.
Yet Colt Seavers does it. TWICE
