while i know wwx somehow managed to invent being a passenger princess in a society without cars, i do think in a modern au he would have the most rundown car in existence. it's older than he is. he has to smack it multiple times to get the a/c to work. he lost one of the side mirrors and it was too expensive to track down a replacement so he just duct taped a hand mirror to the side of the car. the drain pipe scrapes against the ground when he goes over bumps. he has definitely lived in it at some point. it is, of course, named suibian

Nu Carnival has surprised me because I'm endeared to literally every character except the dog boy but even then I don't Dislike him. Like I'm nearly caught up with the story, currently stuck on best boy Rei's boss fight, just hit top level, and I just actually enjoy the lore and I enjoy The Boys esp the dumb slut protag (I'm being mean but who could resist calling Eiden a dumb slut) and it's easy to forget it's a game about being thrown into a fantasy world where people have sex to recharge their magic and the protag's reaction is essentially "whoa awesome! that's so cool (: i'm gonna fuck men" and he sure does

per raw, and this has also just been true in all my campaigns, gnomes are a fairly rare and unusual race outside of their own communities, but Melliwyk grew up in a gnomish neighborhood in a large mixed city and then went to a magic academy where I'd have to imagine there's a higher than average number of gnomes relative to the general population, so I imagine other people around her were more used to seeing gnomes in passing, and better at being normal about them and treating them like regular fellow adults-- which is to say it's probably pretty uncommon for her to get randos going 'haha wow a gnome' and picking her up out of nowhere and she's probably extremely '????? excuse the fuck out of me?????' about it every time
