I'm of the opinion that Hawks and Dabi are an introvert and extrovert who are mistaken as an extrovert and introvert, respectively.

Hawks' entire hero persona relies on him being bubbly, friendly, always ready to talk to fans, pretty much the textbook definition of an extrovert, so I think it would make sense that his persona is a creation of the HPSC that isn't at all reflective of his real personality. I also believe he has very few friends, none of whom he ever completely relaxes around, because socializing for him is so tiring because he's only ever done it in the context of his hero persona and he doesn't know how to do it as himself. I imagine he's most comfortable when he can do stuff alone, hence why he leaves his sidekicks behind all the time. He can fulfill his need to be useful and maintain his public identity by utilizing his fastness to be alone.

Dabi is a theatre kid who's never done theatre that wasn't a crime, I think we know this by now, but specifically the kind of theatre kid that was quiet around "normal" kids and loud as shit with other theater kids. Like those theatre kids, he avoids being loud and extroverted when it could get him mocked (or, more accurately, get his plan found out before he can complete it), but when he's free of that worry he's the bane of everyone's existence simply because he's so outspoken and unembarrassed about everything he does.

the mask off trend on tiktok has got me thinking about mha characters and their godly parents. bakugo is not a child of ares, not when nike is right there. ochako, with her bright personality, being a child of iris, goddess of the rainbow and messenger of the gods. being a sort of a messenger herself, being a bridge between toga's form of love and society's, connecting civilians and heroes (a young woman's declaration, who will save the heroes?). aoyama and monoma are both children of dionysus, not only because of their love for wine and theatre, but also because of the uncertainty of whether or not dionysus is one of the twelve olympians. dionysus with his mortal mother, monoma with his copy quirk and aoyama with his (not really) quirk, always slightly an outsider. all might is a child of zeus but so is endeavor so why can't he be number one. iida and dabi as children of nemesis, toga and mina (and midnight) as aphrodite's. no one thinks kirishima is an ares kid until you see his courage, and everyone thinks hawks in an athena kid but it's actually hermes.

SO the biggest appeal of dabihawks is ofc the enemies to lovers trope, first lets look at canon:

theyre enemies plain and simple, they hate each other, its a beautiful show to watch of them absolutely disgusted by the other but forced to interact [ IF ONLY THEY GOT MORE FUCKING SCREENTIME TOGETHER JESUS CHRIST ] anyways its the angst potential, hawks dirtying his hands just to get into the league only to then betray the entire league </3 hawks dirtying his hands just for the sake of the mission for the sake of dabi letting him in because that WAS his only contact so hes the one hes "closest too" dabi the evil motherfuck toying with hawks, making him do all the things he hates and knowing what hawks is truely doing. they hate each other in canon plain and simple they dont care if neither one dies or not. hawks even STILL views endeavor as an equal even after all hes done (whether or not you think its valid is up to you i think that hawks needs a LITTLE MORE TIME AND SPACE to rethink the whole "yeah no enjis cool now hes alright :D" shtick.... personally i hate it i just want him to be a little more..... now heres where the dots connect though through fandom genius. now when dabis first introduced hes blue and emo and firey and dramatic (theatre kid) mentally unwell, tired yet manic, daddy issues supreme, body horror circus party, the whole palooza. we ALL been known, his daddys a top hero who made him a top villain. and now hawks, who was an enigma at first, man too fast for his own good, red, arrogant, laidback, yet serious and calculating, heart of gold underneath all of that dirty work with a like for trashy preppy outfits. at first it was just the enemies to lovers, dabi hates endeavor and heroes, hawks admires him to the sun and is one of the best heros... AND THEN WE GET HAWKS BACK STORY. hawks. hero. raised by a villain. if the red and blue, sun and moon, emo/goth and jock, FLAME AND FEATHERS, if those parallels werent enough the father issues sure will! dabi, hero father made him a villain, hawks, villain father made him a hero. the amount of parallels these two have was fuel for the growing fire.

FIRE IN WHICH IT WAS FANON. fanon dabihawks is BEAUTIFUL. the best and probably only light dabihawks will ever shine in 😀😀😀 < gripping horikoshis neck even thought nothing will happen but angst for these two. slightly shifted canon compliant with some queer writing and spicing up the characters a SMIDGE, making them more fit to how they ACTAULLY ARE (in my very (not) humble opinion horikoshi you dont know your own characters like we do) all of that is the mountain of fanfic tropes. we already have enemies to lovers but add a little bit of that battle for dominance play and sexual tension, heavy flirting and fuck buddies OOO BOY. they play and they bite and hawks is number one pretty boy and charms his way past dabi "probably hasnt been flirted with in his life," OR dabi being the brat and attention seeker he is and pushing hawks buttons before dabi gets put in his place. hawks turned genuine lov member because then thats where he sees the TRUTH. or hawks still killing jin but REGRETS IT TO THE MAX and dabi finds him a little after and hawks begging for forgiveness. the league was his only true family but hes been a hero under the commission for so long that killing him was second nature until he realizes. rehabilitation after the war and dabi being captured and hawks still visiting him wherever dabis being held. if you make them even a LITTLE BIT GAY it literally makes things more tragic than just "lets hate each other even though we're walking parallels"

one very popular and loved aspect is red tailed hawks avian hawks and not just his fierce wings. THIS ADDS TO THE MOUNTAIN. youve got a multitude of bird facts like torpor, nesting, cloacas if youre into that, preening, MATING HABITS. hawks being a spy to the league only to see how open they are to their members quirks. spinner and his lizardness needing warmth and insects and shedding and togas fascination and need for blood ( not quirk reasons shes mentally ill but there are healthy ways to get blood so) hawks seeing the league being accepting open AND welcoming to when we dont see ANY OF THAT in his hero work??? especially with dabis inside knowledge of how shit the hero system is with quirk discrimination??? youve got so much to work with here JUST from the aspect of making hawks a hawk mutant. he likes how shiny dabi is with his staples and piercings, he loves the natural warmth coming from him (even if dabis skin is cold), hawks lowkey loving the smell of blood from dabis scars (bird of prey) dabi helping hawks be open to the more avian side of him, he imprints on him and dabi becomes mate in hawks mind, IN TURN hawks showing dabi that even the most shittiest of origins, you can still do good, hawks knowing full well that quirks sucks (molting season, talon clipping, wing care, the overstimulation of senses like sounds hawks has become numb to) and he coaxs that little burning fire thats still in dabi, that he can still do good (dabi said that killing innocent people drove him mad in a negative way so he doesnt enjoy it) two broken souls from quirk discrimination finding solace even with all the shit hero AND villain society treat them. this leads to, along with those above, hurt comfort, slow burn, mutual healing, mutual pining, sunshine x grump, girlboss and malewife, overly affectionate x touch adverse, old married couple, sacrifices too much x sacrifices too little, romantic virgin x romantic confident, annoyed x annoying, gets into fights x patches them up, OBLIVIOUSNESS TO THE MAX, idiots in love, domestic husbands ETC ETC (and the more kinky spicy aspects when it comes to bird genes and a fire quirk)

what makes them even JUCIER is if you make the commission EVIL. EXACTLY WHAT DABI HATES AND DESPISES. another common trope is to make hawks be lowkey abused by the commission hence the whole child soldier thing but hawks has been living with then his whole life so its like, fine for him. dabi being his savior, dabi showing him the league can be his true family, dabi, a villain, being hawkss hero. hawks, who would get his hands dirty just for the sake of justice, shows dabi true heroes are still alive. hawks being an avian mutant adds to the juice because if it was just hawks with fierce wings well you could paint it as just the child soldier BUT WITH THE HETEROMORPH youve got commission being absolute JERKS and forcing hawks to mask his avian-ness, forced to endure people touching his wings left and right, forced to not perch, forced to have them preen his feathers in the way that society views as "perfect," clipping his talons, making him live in a boring ass apartment because "hawks heroes dont care about sentiments, you have to be presentable and collecting 'shiny things' isnt herolike," the league being the EPITOME of quirk freedom, hawks finding solace in the league because hes actually able to be himself and being a heteromorph isnt SHOULDNT be bad, dabi being able to polish his old big brother instincts and take care of hawks nurse him back to help and free him from his bird cage.

SPEAKING OF BIRD CAGES, another beautiful fanon interpretation is DABI HIMSELF BEING A PART OF THE LEAGUE BEFORE HIS REBIRTH. OW. youve got friends to lovers and all the fluff that comes with it (as much as it is being in the commission) dabi and hawks growing up together in the commission only for endeavor to pull dabi out and hawks loses his one true best friend :[ dabi and hawks not knowing how to socialize with other kids but between dabis temper yet caringness and hawks being shy yet a determined bastard, they click LOVINGLY. they bond over shitty fathers (hawks not knowing the extent to his idol OR you can change it up and have hawks despise endeavor secretly but the commission knows hes adored endeavor so he has to suck up the urge to MAIM and KILL the flaming bag of shit because at the time endeavor aint "changing" and he acts EXACTLY like hawkss birth father.) hawks imprinting on dabi his first real friend, taking care of each other through the commissions pains and abuse, sacrificing themselves in order for the other to not be punished. MAJOR ANGST WHEN IT COMES TO DABIS DEATH and hawks loses his spark and throws himself into training to distract the howling pain of his bird side and instincts as he lost a flock member (and potential mate), ONLY TO FIND DABI ALIVE YEARS LATER. the angst of reconciliation to see your love turn yo the darkest sides (dabi being a villain and hawks being a hero both of who they respectively hate) the angst of dabi knowing that without him the commission successfully brainwashed hawks to the point of betrayal on their side and hawks knowing his old beloved is now on the side in which he has to take down and kill (his old beloved truely did die if this is the path dabi went to) THE FRIENDS TO LOVERS TO STRANGERS TO ENEMIES AND BACK TO LOVERS. Deku gets help from all might and wins (in the myth aphrodite gives the winner golden apples which distract atalanta, not sure how this would play out in this ver)

8. Howl’s Moving Castle au (book ver). Controversially, I have deku as howl, katsuki as Sophie & sentient OFA as calcifer. I can and Will back this up. (Kaminari as Martha/youngest sister who wants to marry rich and be a mom) & Uraraka as Lettie (middle sister who wants to be rich off her own hard work) (I actually have the whole cast planned out)

9. I’m currently writing a Carrie au. Deku is Carrie obvs. Katsuki is both Sue and Tommy, w Kiri coming in for some of Tommy’s advice giving moments. Decided Toga can be Chris and originally I had aged down!Dabi as Billy at a friend’s request but not 100% sure. Considered switching to mustard but like. We know nothing about him.

10. Barely fleshed out but I’ve seen a bunch of parallel universe swapping quirk fics where fantasy!bkdk or future!bkdk get swapped to the canon verse, including at least one w pregnant izuku and. Pregnant katsuki gets swapped to the canon verse because I think it’s WAY funnier

dabi headcanons

- Canonically left-handed.

- A theatre kid to the core, despite having never been able to attend a theatre club.

- The "bi" in Dabi stands for bisexual. Cis man.

- Can hardly feel his burnt skin and some of the "healthy" skin. Barely feels surface-level pain, which makes it really easy to injure himself. Fevers and headaches are hell, however.

- Hates certain textures. Absolutely despises his hands being sticky, despite being far from a neat freak.

- Pretty heavily near-sighted because of damage to his eyes. Wears glasses when no one sees him, but refuses to wear them while going out. Lenses are a no, too, because his eyes are very sensitive and get infected easily. Also, has a bit of a lazy eye (this is canon, too, I believe.)

- Has some difficulty hearing in his left ear, too. Also damage from his quirk.

- Has a bass guitar and plays it to relax sometimes. It's one of the very few things he has in his room.

- Will not allow anyone into his room unless he absolutely trusts them.

- Forms unhealthy attachments to people so he tries not to get attached at all.

- Often resorts to substances to cope with emotions. A habit he picked up on his days on the streets. Violence and setting shit on fire help, too.

On the other hand, canon!Dabi DID do something that might just have destroyed the Number 1 Hero's reputation utterly in one fell swoop so... (a reputation he has thanks to Dabi and the Hood attack now that I think about it) (and Can't You See kid)

Yeah like. Here's the thing. Dabi could have just Not sent Hood- and like, I guess it could be argued that he didn't know Hawks would pick Endeavor that day, but I think he actually had a pretty good guess that he would, and even if they was a factor he hadn't accounted for he still went on to keep letting Hawks ruin his plans oh my god Dabi just stop letting him spy just because you know he's a spy doesn't mean he's not a completely useless one- but like. He still went ahead with it. He still saw them walking together there and went "Yeah let's do this today" still. He's still responsible for Endeavor getting to have a solid reputation.

And then he figured "there's no way this can backfire on me" and sent even more villains to strengthen that reputation! And sure, he did it because he wants to make it hurt even more when he tears it down but here's the thing...

Dabi wasn't prepared for the heroes to attack that day. Dabi didn't have a an actual plan for dealing with Hawks besides "make Twice deal with him" and "kill him when he stops pretending" both of which failed quite a bit. And Dabi didn't tell anyone else in the league or mla who he was or give them the footage of his little exposé. If Dabi went down, his plan was over, failed, and had the opposite effect. Endeavor would be stronger for it, and no one would ever know who he really was. That Dabi's plan is actually working now is an insane string of luck that Giga grabbed the one random person that Dabi could give the flashdrive to and have them broadcast it out, and that Enji and Shoto are alive and in the same place when he gets there.

AU where AFO is impressed by Dabi's melodrama and decides to take him in and teach him the way of villainy.

Below the cut because this has spoilers for Dabi's backstory in manga Chapter 350.

Ever since AFO brought the burned Touya back to his lab, Dr. Garaki grumbled nonstop about being forced to drag a crispy fried child kicking and screaming back from death. Does the master have any idea how much work it is to commit abominations against nature? After Touya ran away from the creepy orphanage, Dr. Garaki threw a huge fit about all his work being wasted. To make the whining stop, AFO tracked down Touya planning to at least turn the runaway into a Nomu.

AFO found Touya (newly named Dabi) ranting about how badly he wanted to kill his father. This interested AFO far more than when Dabi had idolized Endeavor. AFO took pride in being a self-made orphan. Dabi's monologue was only a 4/10 but AFO saw real potential in how Dabi naturally used the light of his flames to illuminate his face. On a whim, AFO decided to take on this kid as an apprentice.

AFO promised to fund Dabi's revenge and turn him into a great a villain. After a few days of living on the streets, Dabi was ready to join anyone who would feed him.

Out of laziness, AFO put Tomura and Dabi in the same apartment. It was like sticking two cats in a bag. The apartment got burned down and the ashes decayed during a brutal war over the thermostat. They had to sleep on the lab floor for a month during the repairs. Many Nomus were dusted in their battles. Dr. Garaki wept. After that, AFO kept them separated.

AFO brought Dabi a copy of his coat. No matter how many times the coat got replaced, Dabi always found creative ways to rip it and burn it until AFO gave up and let him dress like a hobo.

Although AFO tried to teach Dabi to vault younger siblings, Dabi never grasped the concept of airholes in the vault. Luckily Dabi was too inept to kidnap anyone.

AFO enrolled Dabi in a theatre group in hopes of finally teaching him fashion sense. Dabi loved it and quit villainy. Actually, AFO was fine with this because he only ever liked Dabi's monologues. AFO made massive donations to the theatre group to persuade them to produce many plays with villain protagonists. Dabi became a theatre sensation and AFO got front row seats to all his plays as a proud dad. This is the healthiest family relationship AFO has ever had in his entire life.

overhaul knew eri beforehand - the two had worked together before and she was very happy to see him again

sasaki (nighteye) is a lot nicer than his character. he's very nice to newer actors and has a great sense of humour

during the scene where mirio appears in the wall near deku, sasaki couldn't stop laughing and eventually he was asked to leave until they finished filming it, causing everyone else to laugh

tamaki is surprisingly extroverted in real life. he doesn't go out of his way to talk to people but he doesnt mind sending back an order, yk?

jirou and kaminari knew each other from school before the show and became really good friends after the first season

kaminari is scarily smart

momo had a crush on jirou when they first met, but over time it went away

mr compress and twice are terrible with spoilers so they blank out any lines that aren't theirs on their scripts. dabi and toga find this hilarious

kurogiri and shirakumo are played by two different people, and kurogiri has a stunt double. the three of them are very good friends

working with nezu, hagakure and the like is incredibly awkward. Not because they're bad actors, but because it's just a person in a green screen

iida and mei are very close off camera and they hang out a lot, both of them bullying the other's characters

mina has a tiktok series where she bullies the cast when they mess up a line

shigaraki taught deku a lot of what he knows about acting and theatre, and shiggy was always someone he looked up to

hizashi finds his character absolutely hilarious. he often gets embarrassed about the things he says but he still finds it funny

often times you can see tokoyami, komori, and kuroiro making tikoks in the background, though it's only noticeable if you're looking for it

monoma always feels bad about insulting people from 1a and always apologises afterwards

shinsou constantly forgets his lines

one time aoyama was dared to just stare into the camera so he did it and then he kept doing it for laughs and now it's just a habit

it takes ages for aizawa to do a take he likes

endeavour is a really nice guy, but is just that good of an actor that everyone thinks he's mean off camera

hawks used to be a stunt double, so he prefers to do most of his stunts himself

sasaki is very active on social media and defends everyone when they get hate

stain is an absolute dumbass most of the time, and in the scene were he threatens shigaraki he whispered "are we about to kiss?". that also had sasaki howling

eri was very shy at the beginning, and she made most of her friends through the show and came out of her shell a lot

todoroki is very hard to recognise in real life because he doesn't look ANYTHING like his character

natsuo, shoto, enji, rei, fuyumi and touya hang out together in public and send the fans mad

one time, hizashi logged into his account on one of the computers in the ua staff room and started playing minecraft and didn't realise they were recording. nobody noticed until he brought it up in an interview

bakugo is very chill. he often takes members of the cast out for food or drinks (not everyone at once - lord knows)

rei did have to go to the psych ward when she was younger, and was very glad that people in there weren't portrayed offensively

mina loves working on mha, but she hates having to cover herself in bright pink body paint

nejire was a minecraft and genshin streamer and jokingly auditioned. she found out she got the part while streaming. however, she was not allowed to say, because it had a chance of spoiling part of season 3 and 4

nemuri and mitsuki are the moms of the set, and always make sure everyone eats. inko, however, just jokes around with the others and goofs off when she's not in the scene

bakugo calls mitsuki his twitter mom, because she always defends him on social media

eri and kota go to school together, and the kids in the provisional license exam (the second one with camie, bakugo and todoroki) are their classmates

when eri grows older, she's still known as "eri from my hero academia"

I remember when Hawks was first introduced and opinions were kinda split since we were still trying to figure him out. Even with a bit of a shaky start, I think some people were enamored with him from the get-go. Hmm. That's kind of interesting to point out. "A rags to riches story?" And the "opportunity of the hero system" ooh that makes me think, and once again I am wishing we got more on Hawks' side of the HPSC story and how his debut went. I can definitely see them pulling a "with hard work, you too can be a hero!" and "the hero life offers you many great opportunities and grand splendor" to reel people in, but I think that happens naturally because of the All Might craze. Hawks' history was kept private so nobody's gonna be saying he went from rags to riches, and certainly not Hawks himself with how little he shares.

Woah 😂 Oh my god, the spooky music came out of nowhere! That surprised me, and what a dramatic explanation, "crafted on an empty conveyor belt by men in suits and empty office rooms" and you called him a chameleon HELP- but apt description. I feel like I'm reading a fanfic by a theatre kid, this is neat. Really poetic in a serious, looming darkness kind of way. And then everything playing in the background??? Haha, really cool way to design a video and with the sound effects.

I'm glad you acknowledged that while Hawks' theatrics COULD have been bits and pieces of who he might've turned out to be without HPSC interference, it's mostly trained acting. Which is part of why he became my favorite. I think it's really cool to analyze what he does and try to figure out the intentions behind them, and how he switches from one personality to another.

And...there's where I'll have to disagree. Lady Nagant might've been a hired killer, but Hawks isn't. The HPSC stopped the whole "killing" thing after the last Chairman was killed. And he's never tried to enable them? He was really upset about that, not wanting to turn a blind-eye to the League's victims, didn't let anyone die during the High-End incident despite the HPSC clearly saying "you can, and you will" even if it could've convinced Dabi. He's not the HPSC's blind puppet. And he definitely doesn't like them or working for them. Otherwise he wouldn't have said, "there's nobody to give me orders anymore, I'm free of my shackles." When they got shut down.

The spy gig wasn't the first time he expressed disliking their ideas. The HPSC loves putting up appearances, past and future, with "false sweetness" and he ruined their elaborate little public showcase of the top heroes. They wanted polite PR lines? They called it a "critical turning point?" he threw that line back in their faces. "If this is a critical turning point, then what I don't want to hear is all these PR-friendly soundbites." You know, the same thing that annoyed Nagant for it being a lie to the public to save face. Perfect, "safe words" but not real, honest heroics. He sounds rude, but he shoots down the idea of "clinging to the past" by making a counter-point to every line said during that. The HPSC was very frustrated with losing All Might, this was their way to make up for it. But society shouldn't cling to that old system. Hawks is the first hero to ever say that. Otherwise pretty much everyone is trying to cling to the old ways and become the next All Might.

It's funny. They expressed frustration over "this is what we get for relying on one man." But the HPSC continues their old habits of relying on one man when they sent Hawks in alone to spy on the villains with no way out for him, forbidding him to tell anyone of his mission and hiding how he was undercover even during the raid. He could've gotten help, he wouldn't have thought killing Twice was his only option if he had back-up. But nothing. They sent him to deal with the consequences alone, and they got their karma from making the child of a villain, pretend to be a villain and do things he hates, thinking he'd do it easily, but Hawks drew it out for so long that Twice's clone of Re-Destro destroyed their HQ and killed the Chairwoman. And might I add it was really stupid of them to invite Re-Destro to talk teaming up with support items or whatever when there's no way they wouldn't have known he was dangerous. Hawks would've warned them. And he knows they're manipulating him. Isn't it sad that he says "calling it a proposal when I can't refuse? how malicious of you" when Nagant tried to refuse killing, she got a gun pulled out on her and got dumped in Tartarus. Hawks likes being a hero, and helping people. And they're providing support for his mom, and hiding his family history. They've got blackmail on him, and Hawks himself can't refuse if saying yes means someone else won't have to dirty their hands in his place. He'll take on the burden so people can rest easy.

And as funny as the sentence "what is Wash's body count?" is, Hawks and Nagant are the only ones of their kind that were created in this way. Horikoshi's said it, I'm not just pulling everything out of thin air.

ITS MOSTLY JUST TOGA CENTRIC TBH. So, we go to Togas old home that she used to live in and we basically go on a tour. Then she and Dabi talk a little (nothing is translated because Atsu didn't do any updates so what we have is what we can see in scans.)

Now, I'm not posting any scan screenshots because they're all watermarked and not the same quality you'd get with Atsu.

So then Dabi, the dramatic little gremlin, just kind of rolls out of a window and then burns Toga's childhood home down. He's a murdering theatre kid but we all knew that.

Following that is a conversation between Spinner and AFO and on the last page we see the sludge villain from the first chapter.

So me and the chaos server were talking and we were like: WHAT IF THIS WAS ALL AFO FROM THE BEGINNING AND HE SET UP FOR DEKU TO SAVE BAKUGOU IN FRONT OF ALL MIGHT?? And I mean that's unlikely but that's most of what my ramblings are talking about. There's nothing in this chapter that actually states it's true.

We do think the sludge villain is going to make some parallels with the first chapter and maybe aspects of Kamino in the upcoming chapters.

The leave would do one massive group costume. (because toga and twice definitely forced them to.)

One year they did a fantasy theme. Toga was the princess, twice was prince charming, kurogiri was the king, mags was the bar maiden, spinner insisted on being pascal from tangled, shigaraki was was the evil warlock, and dabi the dragon. Compress refused to dress up because he said a magician was close enough to a wizard.

This year, they are doing American high school stereotypes. Toga as the cheer leader, twice as the class clown, kurogiri as the nerd, mags as art student, spinner as the jock, shigaraki as the loner, dabi as the stoner, and compress as the theatre kid.

I've had a vision. Kuropress Parent Trap AU, with Tomura and Himiko as the twins. This doesn't really make sense, but I want it anyways. For the sake of plot, let's say Tomura and Himiko aren't identical twins but they look hella alike, and quirks exist. So she can drink Tomura's blood to look like him and Tomura is just really good at impersonating her. Anyways, Kurogiri is a bartender in California who raised Shig, and Compress is a famous magician who raised Himiko. Add onto this if you want!

This doesn't really make sense, but I want it anyways is both a mood and a power move. So much respect. But yeah I agree, I think we can make it work! Toga has her quirk, and Tomura is just ... a fucking theatre kid who is an acting legend. He just dies his hair blond and he’s good to go. Just like in the story, they both meet in a summer camp, they do the prank war and everything (oh my god ... can you imagine ... a prank war between Tomura and Toga ... that would be so brutal ... they have no chill). And then, they two the switch thing!!!

This would be so fucking chaotic. Honestly, their switch would work for a while because they have the except same chaotic feral bi energy so Kurogiri and Compress would both be like “yep, this is my child” for a long ass time. I also don’t think that we need a Meredith character in this, I honestly always found her to be kind of unnecessary in the movie anyway, I feel like Kurogiri and Sako’s awkwardness is enough of an obstacle for the drama. Or we can just say that Compress is a little of a player, I feel like that’s enough. This way we still get the iconic scene of Compress about to kiss someone in the elevator before seeing Kurogiri just standing there and waiving at him XD

Also I’m ... sorry for the shigadabi brain rot BUT LISTEN ... consider this. Dabi is Toga’s best friend at home with Kurogiri, they’ve known each other since they were kids and they’re like siblings. So when Shig comes home to Kurogiri pretending to be Toga ... oh boy ... >:D ... Dabi is VERY confused, because he was never ever attracted to Toga in any way but something about her is different since she came back from camp. He is the first one to notice it, he sees the little things, and he suddenly starts to have feelings for her, which is VERY confusing. Meanwhile, Tomura is FREAKING OUT because this goth neighbour is very cute. He likes him a lot, and he seems to like him as well but he thinks that he is Toga, so Tomura convinces himself that Dabi is just in love with Toga AND WE GET ALL THE ANGST AND THE YEARNING ... 

But of course, Dabi learns the truth eventually. He is the first one to figure out what’s going one and he IMMEDIATELY gets on board with the shenanigans and help Toga and Tomura to organise the reunion. The rest of the LOV is probably around as well (either on Sako’s side or Compress’s side). Eventually, the whole group meets at the hotel for the reunion, and they organise the whole boat date and Kurogiri and Compress are like “wow not only did we get back together but we also adopted a bunch of kids in the process???”

And of course, we get that dramatic ass scene at the end where Kurogiri goes home and Compress is already waiting for him like “I’m not letting you go this time” and they make out and everything is great.

They can try ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but no matter how many people uplift the kids for succeeding where Hawks failed, idgaf. Everything happens because Hori wants it to, the characters themselves have no unique ability. Hawks himself can fuck right off about his lack of character during that conference, like yea fine I do think there were other words he could've used but that's all guesswork if even that would've done anything since if Toga ain't budging then I doubt Twice would've easily in time before Dabi

(Cont.) Which brings me to what I'm *blinks rapidly in disbelief* about. Toga deadass thinks, and I quote "you think heroes and those they protect are the only ones who count as real people" girl what. Because it sounds to me your idea of "real people" comes with a long list of demands you think you need to be granted. Literally nobody is dehumanizing you in this chapter. Heroes have literally protected and provided med aid for villains before. You're out here throwing an angsty tantrum just bc

I sure hope this is Hori saying Toga sucks 🙄 because her whining about how IzuOcha is treating her like her parents had BETTER NOT be turned around as an apology from them for not giving her the answer she wants to hear. Terrible sympathy grab if that's what this is because girl 😔✋ I am majorly against child abuse and what happened to so many characters in this series, but fuck it. Your parents were right. You CAN'T live like this.

(Cont.) Twice and Dabi have influenced her so much. Doubling down like this + "I wanted to talk about love together!" = "Let's fly free together!" and "The world rejected me, so I reject the world" = Dabi's edgy theatre kid monologue. I'm sorry if this all sounds rude, that's not my intended tone at all! But I'm just flabbergasted, get out of here with that! IzuOcha's are wrong there, Toga does not look sad at all. Maybe Hori will have the guts to make her unsaved because I can't see otherwise.

l don't blame you for feeling this way because any sympathy I've had for Toga has just up and died these past few frustrating chapters.

She really is pulling a tantrum because she's not getting what she wants. She doesn't want it any other way, if it's not her way then she doesn't care and doesn't want to listen.

I don't know why Hori keeps having these characters become even worse versions of themselves and yet just a couple of chapters ago had his students hopeful about reaching out to them. Is he trying to get them to a situation like with Twice but this time they're able to "succeed" because they're better?

I'm just disappointed for so many characters involved...
