having thoughts and feelings about perc’ahlia and their could-be-but-would-never-allow-the-other-to-destroy-themselves-enough-to-actually-become-the-briarwoods parallel/foilism. particularly with vex and delilah and potential places this season might go but also just vex’s “it’s like i’m a bad omen” and the fact that like. vex has full awareness of her feelings for percy and alludes to them to him. but then after she has sex with him it is so so compelling to me that vex is like. this is all i can have with him and i’ll take just this even if maybe it’s flying too close to the sun. and something something the shot of delilah embracing sylas after she’s brought him back, looking over his shoulder into a mirror where it looks like she isn’t holding anything at all and just . god. the like oppositional threads of delilah refusing to lose sylas and holding on tight at any cost and vex holding herself so far from percy to deny the pain that would come with losing/hurting him and the like. venn diagram cross over of something is lost anyway.

In reference to the Gaiman SA situation regarding the GO fandom at large:

I wish we* would stop hurting each other (*from here on out, we/us refers to the fandom at large and/or any particular fan).

We should remember that we are neither the alleged victims nor perpetrator in this situation. This isn’t about us, and our opinions only matter in so much as how we personally choose to engage (or not) in the fandom going forward.

We each need to do whatever it is that feels right to us and supports our own mental health.

If that means you’re going scorched earth, deleting any fan art/fiction you’ve created or consumed, blocking related tags, burning all of NG’s works, and cutting yourself off from any friends/mutuals you have who choose to stay in the fandom, that having any reminders or associations with the work and fandom is something you cannot live with, then we’ll miss you. I truly hope you find a new fandom to call home, and new mutuals to support you.

If that means separating the art from the artist (whatever that means for you), continuing to interact with other fans, and consuming fan creations because this fandom is home for you and you do not want or cannot live without this support system, I’ll be right there with you.

If you’re somewhere in between, or you change your mind, no matter how many times, you won’t be alone. And you are not a bad person for choosing what works for you, for changing that based on any new information we may get, and for needing to process that someone you may have admired may not be who you thought they were.

All of these are valid choices, and no one’s choice is any more valid or moral than anyone else’s. Well, I’d say (at least for me), with two very extreme exceptions: 1. If you have decided that no matter what we learn, if the accusations are completely true, maybe there are even more victims, that you will loudly and proudly support NG and attack anyone who doesn’t (fortunately, I haven’t seen anyone in this boat yet), and 2. If you’ve been actively wishing violence, suicide, murder, etc. on NG- or on Michael, David, Rob, or anyone else associated with GO- or his accusers (this I’ve seen too many times already).

Again, the overall situation isn’t about us, and we don’t really matter, except to ourselves and each other. Please take care of yourself, and try to support each other where you can (and if you can’t or won’t, maybe keep that to yourself).

It breaks my heart whenever I see a writer/artist apologizing like, "I'm sorry I haven't updated/posted anything new lately. I've been sick/depressed/going through stuff. I think I need to slow down/some time off."

My dears, first of all, I hope you're okay and that things get better.

Secondly, you don't owe anything and you don't have to meet an activity quota to be on this site or in this fandom. Just be. Preferably be happy and healthy.

We love that you're here, but we'll still love you when you have to be away. We just want you to be safe and to take care of yourself. <3

You may have lost a battle but the war is still going. All this will sprout is more unease and hopelessness in you and I know this fear.

Remind yourself of one thing though.

The fight isn't over. Each and every one of you is unhappy with this outcome and what does that sprout? Fight. Discussion and the will and thirst to prove that things like this strike you as wrong.

As long as you exist and openly argue against these things and how you might be treated in the future... as long as that spark doesn't die out, democracy isn't dead. This will only fuel those, who were hoping for a different outcome.

No one of you is alone and nobody needs to stand alone. There are more of us than you think. And as long as we speak, we won't die out. As long as our voices can be heard, we won't vanish.

Hank's election thoughts Hello, It’s a special edition of We’re Here. I’m trying to get my head on straight right now, which I’m sure is the case for you. I remember realizing after the assassination attempt that there was a rationality to my scrolling…I felt like my picture of the future was no longer relevant, and I desperately wanted to have my new one put in place. Of course, scrolling in the hours after a big event doesn’t tend to provide that relief, but it makes sense that I wouldn’t know what else to do. Today, I see people scrolling for similar reasons. Those of us who did not want a second Trump term (it’s a very large majority, but if that’s not you, I’m still glad you like the newsletter) are trying to figure out a bunch of things at the same time: How exactly did this happen? Who should we blame? (whether voters or strategy or candidate or party) What do we do now? I am not a political scientist, so I cannot answer those first two questions for you. I’m sure there will be plenty of interesting analysis coming out of all of the people who think about this stuff for a living and we will never know exactly who was right. But I do have a couple of suggestions for the third thing. First, I’d ask that we all accept that it is normal to mourn an imagined future. I have had this feeling many times in my life, and it is never nice. So, grieve. That is human. Second, do things. I don’t know what those things are, but do things. This morning Katherine said to me, “The trees and the sky and the squirrels and the stars just go on, and that’s what we’ll do.” This reminded me of this bit of an essay on living under the shadow of nuclear war written by C.S. Lewis: “If we are all going to be destroyed by an atomic bomb, let that bomb when it comes find us doing sensible and human things praying, working, teaching, reading, listening to music, bathing the children, playing tennis, chatting to our friends over a pint and a game of darts—not huddled together like frightened sheep and thinking about bombs.” Obviously, Donald Trump is not an atomic bomb. Think whatever you will about him, but if “nuclear war now!” was the other candidate on the ballot, I would vote for Trump! But there is an analogy here. We are asked so often (especially by the internet) to shoulder every burden every day. Let me just say to you, that you do not need to shoulder every burden today. I think we will all be better served if today is for doing things that are close, things that we’ve gotta get done, things that bring joy, things that we care about. My answer to the question “What do we do now?” is simply “anything.” This is not the world I wanted to be in today, but it is not the end of America. Presidents are not dictators. There will be plenty of fights down the road, but some days you fight, and some days you live. I think there’s a pretty good chance that today is for living. We’re here because we’re here, Hank

Thinking about how the Tower & the Adversary routes are connected through the Fury, and how you kind of get there by turning one into the other, and how horrified they are by what they become. Tower is about subjugation - she outright says she does not believe the two of you are on equal footing. You get the Fury from her when you assert your independence and fight back, forcing her to take you seriously as a threat and defend herself. Adversary is all about an equal fight - she prides herself on her strength, but also admires yours. You access the Fury through her by refusing to fight, watching her beat you to a pulp and become disgusted by what she does to you. IDK it is interesting how the Tower & Adversary parallel one another, and how you end up with the Fury in each route by doing what their sister route would have wanted you to do.

So about about a month ago or so i got a message from an obvious fake account (no likes, followers, or PFP), now i have had my annos off from the very beginning of my blog because i am here to read, re-blog & make friends ( i am not very social IRL)

But i made it with a purpose to explore fan fiction because prior to Eddie i had never read fan fiction but thats a story for another day😅💗

So i never wanted to bring this to light because i didnt want to give this person or whomever it may be the satisfaction of getting to me, but in this DM they attacked for one my looks , my person (or who they think i am as a person) and proceeded to call me a & i quote “type of bitch Eddie would hate , he would never give you the time of day”

Now the reason i bring this up is because today i got a follow from a fake account with a name quite similar to the one who sent me the original hate DM, i immediately blocked them just like the last account but here is the point i am trying to make…

I don’t think that I have ever offended anyone and I’ll be the first one to say that if I have ever shared, liked,commented, or said, anything to offend anyone on here i am truly sorry

I have said it time and time again that the whole purpose of this blog is to try to share as many stories as I can, and spread as much positivity because in the world that we live in now it seems that there’s very little of that out there💗

At the same time, I don’t feel like I deserve that much hate.

I really don’t think it’s anyone here but like I said if I’ve ever done anything from the bottom of my heart, I’m sorry I just needed to get this out there because one of the main reasons that I was absent for about a month month was because of that and as much as I didn’t wanna let it get to me it got to me and I just didn’t feel like I belonged in this fandom

I will always do my best to show as much support and love to all the amazing creators and writers on here I love y’all. I hope you have a great week and remember to be kind to yourself and be kind to each other.🫶🏻
