for @blupjeansweek 2023 day 4: AU! coming at you with my favorite type of AU by far, which is of course blupjeans with amnesia shenanigans :D

When Lup gets back to the stagecoach from her grocery run, Taako is on his way right out of it. He makes no move to help her with the bags of flour and beans, instead just eyeing the closed coach door suspiciously.

“Oh, hey, Lup. Coach’s haunted.”

Lup blinks. “What?”

He jabs a thumb over his shoulder, back at the offending vehicle. “I said, stagecoach’s haunted.”

“Yeah, but — how? By what?”

“Oh, uh…” Taako’s brow furrows. “I mean, I guess he’s just some guy?”

Lup stares.

“Totally latched onto all our shit already, though,” Taako goes on. “Like it’s — like it’s prime haunting real estate, or something. I don’t think he really wants to leave.”

“Okay. Okay, fine. I get it.” Lup drops the groceries at the foot of the steps, taking them up two at a time to rest her hand on the doorknob. “I’ll go talk to him, I’ll take that bullet.”

“Hey, he’s — he’s weird to talk to? There’s gonna be a weird energy in there. Don’t say I didn’t warn you about the kinda energy in there,” Taako tells her, and she waves him off.

“Oh, don’t sweat it, T, he’ll be out of our hair in no time. I’ll just make sure to turn on the charm.”

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

This was mainly more practice with After Effects! And animating in CSP fir the first time in like 5 years! I like how it turned out especially the background.

i think i was able to integrate peri into the scene pretty well though! way better than my first two tries

It was inspired by the Don Bluth backgrounds. They're so breathtakingly beautiful and i wanted to try and capture that nostalgic feeling i get when looking at them
