Bathsheda Babbling (1950 - )
Septima Vector (1953 - )
Aurora Sinistra (1955 - )
I imagine that with the exception of the heads of house, the other teachers live in Hogsmeade Village so they can be with their families.
Bathsheda is American, married an Irish wizard and moved to England.
Septima and Rosmerta maintain a long-lasting relationship.
After the Battle of Hogwarts, Aurora abandoned teaching and began traveling the world to dedicate herself to research.
** The number of Teachers is disproportionate to the number of students that J.K.R reported that there are at Hogwarts (around a thousand) this is something that has always bothered me, there should be more teachers, divided by years and also other subjects, there is no philosophy/ sociology/culture of witches? (No wonder every few decades they suffer from some kind of dark wizard.)

Amorentia || Severus Snape x F!Hufflepuff Reader
Chapter Five || Detention
Word Count: 1356
Includes: Wet Dream, Sex scene/Smut, Desk sex
Rushing to your second class of the day—Study of Ancient Runes—so you don't miss it you arrive just a minute late, Professor Bathsheda Babbling speaks.
"Late." She snaps, she had a reputation of being the second rudest teacher, second to no other than the man you were late for.
You quickly take your seat and begin to catch up with the rest of the class. Finally you manage to but your handwriting was practically chicken-scratch. The lecture continues, Professor Bathsheda Babbling really was a blabber mouth. But today's class was actually interesting and was able to combine with Muggle studies—you were learning about the history of runes with muggles. Specifically how Norse mythology worked with them. One of the runes caught your interest—the one for Loki. You remember him from the muggle Marvel movies and you can't help but think he reminds you of a certain somebody. You grin and chuckle at the though of it. He really was a lot like the Norse god of mischief.
"Ms. [Last Name]." You hear Professor Bathsheda Babbling speak to you harshly, you're instantly snapped out of your thoughts about your other Professor in comparison to the god.
"Detention." She snaps.
You say nothing more and nod before going back to work, but your thoughts are still polluted by your damn potions master.
Finally that horrid class ends and you groan as you're stuck behind, your detention lasting throughout your lunch period. Eventually you get your work done and hand it in to Professor Bathsheda Babbling.
"I will not tolerate any more behavior like this, Ms. [Last Name]." She says, then sighs.
"Do not be late again and learn to focus." She takes the work from your hand.
"It'll be graded by tomorrow, go." She waves her hand dismissively.
You nod then leave the room, you push open the door then bump into a broad—oddly muscular chest—there lies no other than the man who distracts your thoughts, who pollutes your mind—Professor Severus Snape. You look up at him and feel the same feeling building in your core.
"Apologizes, Professor.." You mumble as you look back towards the floor, the events from an hour ago engulfing your brain. How you moaned his first name during a masturbation session.
"What were you in there for?"
"Detention, sir." You reply.
"Detention? Why?" He asks, his eyebrow slightly raised, a Hufflepuff getting a detention was quite rare.
You tense a bit, would you flat out tell him? No. Of course not.
"I was zoned out during class and a minute late, Professor Snape."
He gives no reply but nods.
"Stay out of trouble." He says then walks away, you think it was one of the most civil actions you have ever had with him.
However.
The second he leaves you alone in the hallway you feel a pang of rage and envy cross you.
That love potion must've been stronger than you thought.
—
After you finish your classes of the day you return the Hufflepuff dormitory, drained from all of the activities in the day. Especially the encounters with the potions master. Earlier today in potions class you couldn't take your eyes off him, not to mention you finished your work early in class so you had much more time to be distracted by him.
Resting your head down on the pillow of your bed you finally manage to fall asleep, the thoughts about the day fading from your mind as you drift off into slumber. That is until your dream appears.
You're now bent over the potions masters desk, his slender and rough fingers caressing your behind as you tremble, the cold air in the dungeons making your nipples poke through your thin white blouse.
"Cold? I can fix that." The husky voice says from behind you, his front now touching your backside, his hands sliding up your back, under your shirt, until he reaches the clasp of your bra, it slips from your breasts, he then takes it out and flips you over. Your back is now laid against the wooden teachers desk. When you look up you see him—Severus Snape. He has your bra in his hand, his eyes looking you up and down, he pauses as he sees your hard nubs. He smirks then moves his hands to your chest.
"Tell me how I feel." He begins to rub your nipples, toying and teasing them. He then lets his right hand undo your blouse buttons, revealing your perky tits.
"Beautiful." He mutters then goes back to fumbling with your nubs, pulling and nipping at them before placing his tongue on it. Instantly a sense of pleasure rushes over you, a loud pornographic moan passes your lips as he nibbles on your breast. He then releases your tit from his mouth with a small 'pop'.
"Do you want more? I know you do." He smirks then traces his hands down your body, highlighting your curves with his touch.
"You're perfect." His hands stay on your hips as his clothed cock rubs against your front. You whimper, clearly wanting more—you're desperate, eager. He then pulls down your panties, throwing them off of your legs completely, flipping up your skirt he pushes against you again. You moan.
"Such good sounds.." He pulls the zipper down on his pants, revealing his erect member. He lines it up with your cunt before...
You awake; It's now sometime around 4 am, your wounds are throbbing with pain. Glancing down at your forearm and lower wrists you see the stitches have reopened. Panicked you stand and then run out of the dorms, when rushing to the infirmary you bump into someone again—the same broad muscular chest as before. Severus Snape is in front of you, his wand emitting light in the dim hallway.
"What are you doing out, Ms. [Last Name]?" His tone sounds more demanding the genuine.
You flush as the dream comes to your mind but you shake your head, you can't get distracted now.
"My stitches sir, they've been reopened... I do not know how." You inform him.
His face shifts from his usual grouchy demeanor to one of concern, he lifts your arm with his free hand and brings it up so he can see it better, his wand hovering over the now reopened wounds.
"Merlin child.." He sighs.
"Let's go to the infirmary wing now." He drags you to the nurses office, once inside Madame P approaches you.
"Oh sweetie, I'm glad you got here before it got infected." She smiles at you then looks to Snape.
"Severus, thank you for bringing her here-"
"Help her already." He snaps.
Madame P chuckles then nod, "Come, Ms. [Last Name]." She leads you to a medical cot, you sit down. She exits the small area then returns later with a small vial in her hand, a medical kit in her other.
"Tell me, sweetie, have the..." She glances at Severus who is looming beside you. "The effects increased?" She asks.
You nod, "Yes.. I had.. a dream, Madame."
She sighs and nods back. "Alright, I'm guessing it's about a person, try to stay away from this student until the effects are completely gone, okay?"
'If only I could tell you it wasn't a student, it's someone I can't avoid Madame!' You say to yourself in your head. But you nod at her nonetheless.
"Yes Madame, I understand.."
She smiles then begins to pour the vials contents into your cuts, they start to close almost fully, the last little cuts she stitches up.
"Try not to be to fast with your movements, sweetie, and you'll be alright."
You nod again then stand, "Thank you." You then glance back to Professor Snape.
"Thank you as well, sir.." You smile at him.
He grunts then nods. "Let's get you back to your dorm, Ms. [Last Name]."
Soon enough you return to your dorm, but before you head back in you wave back at Professor Snape.
"Goodnight, Sir"
He says nothing more and walks off, probably back to his dungeon.
'If only I could tell him.'

I just started posting the first serious fanfic I've written. Its a marauders era fic with a female oc as the main character with Greek Mythology and Gods involved; Thanatos isn't too happy with Moldyshorts and resuscitates a demigoddess to get her to kill him.
Maggie also doesn't like Dumbledore, but loves Minnie and Pomona and Poppy. Maggie is very fucked up in terms of trauma; dying isn't kind to anyone.
Tbh I have been listening to EPIC: the musical on loop, and it is heavily inspired by it. Percy Jackson is also an inspiration (of course, who can write about "modern" times Greek Gods and not have Rick Riordan breathing down your neck) but this is not the PJO world at all. Riordan had to deal with making a book for kids; this fic is not for untraumatized children.
Anyhow; I love comments and people asking questions so that I can hold people hostage and rant, so come and talk to me!!

Thanatos is not happy about the so-called Lord Voldemort trying to escape death; so a Council of the Gods is called and a conclusion is reached: A Demigod Champion has to go kill him.
The only problem: There are no living demigods that satisfy the conditions to be a Champion.
Solution: Bring a demigod back from the dead; whose original body is still around.
That's how Margaritari ends up clawing out of her grave, scaring some Nymphs and meeting her many-times-great-niece who has to adopt her as a granddaughter.
Her plan is simple: Go to Hogwarts, figure out where Riddle has hidden his Horocruxes, murder him violently and go back to be dead where she can be left alone and in peace.
Vomiting blood over a Maurader puts a small obstacle in her plan. (More than a small one, Gods grant her patience; these boys are stubborn)
Also fuck you JK Rowling, you will end up in Tartarus.

Harry Potter Golden/Silver Trio Era Discord RP Group
18+!
Themes May Include: Strong Fantasy Violence, Strong Fantasy Violence, Small Private Fantasy Sexual Scenes, Small Consumptions of Alcohol & Drugs, Strong Dark Fantasy Themes that may make people uncomfortable
Small Introduction:
Hey there! I have done many iterations of this and honestly I just miss it! I hope you all will take the time to read this over as i spent a lot of time on this and it's not fun when people don't read everything.
Plot:
This does go chronologically through Harry Potter's years at Hogwarts and the struggles he deals with as well as his friends and enemies at school. But not only will we be following Harry Potter but some other characters.
My main character, Catalina Thorne, has gone through quite a lot. Not by any means as much as Harry Potter, The Boy Who Lived. But she has dealt with things her classmates and friends could scarcely ever go through. She had to watch her life unfold as a lie and had to lie about the true death of her family. She has to keep a secret of the family safe. The one person she shouldn't trust her secret to is the son of a death eater. But Catalina, the shy sweet innocent girl that she plays, goes and gets a crush on the worst person she can, Draco Malfoy. Can she manage to keep her family secret when her boyfriend's family is one of the darkest wizarding families? Find out!
Rules:
1. Please make sure you know Wizarding World lore and background. I will make a channel for information if anyone has any questions.
2. Sexual activities must happen in a private channel and with the proper procedures. The students can only do this if you are in year 5. Younger years are allowed to do hand holding and kissing and the like.
3. You are allowed to play as many characters as you can control. Just please don't play too many that it's a burden for you.
4. Any ocs are allowed. Just please provide a bio and picture and let it be approved beforehand.
5. Please no fighting for ships. I have set some but if you want to create one, let me know
6. I will need help to make this group as making groups isn't my forte. I'm not great at creating a bots channel. So if you want to help me, please inform me immediately.
7. I would like you all to be semi literate to literate and speak in full sentences. The more details, the better!
8. If you need a refresher course in how to make bots and tulls, let me know. I forgot after a while but once you learn, it's not hard to do!
9. Have fun and make friends!

The Vanishing Intro I
a/n: I got the inspo for such a incident from the “Dark Curse” of abc’s Once Upon a Time and the “Blip” from the Marvel cinematic universe. I do not own Harry Potter and the characters, all rights go to JKR and Warner Bros. Pictures. Only the non-canonical plot was my idea. I also do not agree with any and all prejudiced remarks formulated by JKR in concern of their transphobia. Remember folks, copying other people’s works is plagiarism and that’s illegal. Don’t be that kind of person. Anyways, hope you all enjoy it :)
©little-lazuli. Do not copy, repost, or translate without permission
Summary: Under the threat of defeat, the supporters of the dark lord cast a curse that banishes half of the Wizarding population of the British Isles. No knows where they had gone or how they vanished. But twenty-one years later, the vanished make their return, and the Wizarding world they once knew is no longer the same.
Listed institutions are referenced with information as of 2019
The Stranded: The Stranded were thirty-five of the most recognized witches and wizards in the British isles to not be Vanished. It was this collection of witches and wizards that oversaw the reconstruction of the Magical community of the British Isles. They include:
Bathsheda Babbling, Susan Bones, Lavender Brown, Flora Carrow, Colin Creevey, Dennis Creevey, Roger Davies, Tracey Davis, Astoria Greengrass, Daphne Greengrass, Hestia Jones, Lee Jordan, Neville Longbottom, Luna Lovegood, Ernest Macmillan, Draco Malfoy, Minerva McGonagall, Cormac McLaggen, Graham Montague, Theodore Nott, Garrick Olivander, Pansy Parkinson, Padma Patil, Sturgis Podmore, Poppy Pomfrey, Muriel Prewett, Adrian Pucey, Aurora Sinistra, Alicia Spinnet, Dean Thomas, Edward Tonks, Nyphadora Tonks, Romilda Vane, Ronald Weasley, Oliver Wood
•••
The Impurities: The last bastion of the Dark Lord’s reign, the Impurities were the remaining death eaters following the Vanishing, and were blamed for causing the British Magical Purge of the 2000s. They include:
Bellatrix Lestrange, Thorfinn Rowle, Corban Yaxley, Amycus Carrow, Aurelius Nott, Terminus Travers, Walden Macnair
•••
The British Conclave of Magic: The Conclave is the successor of the British Ministry of Magic, and serves as the formal government for the magical species of the British Isles. Closer in resemblance to the Wizard’s Council of old Britain and MACUSA, the Conclave still holds many roots in the British Ministry of Magic. The reformation of the Ministry into the Conclave was a direct result of the British Magical Purge that took place from the years 2000 to 2004.
The current regime of the Conclave is as follows:
British Premier of Magic: Susan Bones (2009-Present)
House of Nobles: Members of this house aid in the advisement of the Premier. Acting as a vice power should the Premier become incapacitated. These members are elected tri-annually by the those in the House of Inquest. They also serve as judges and vote in any high profile criminal trials.
Incumbent House Nobles: Flora Carrow, Fergus Finnigan, Roger Davies, Nymphadora Lupin, Ernest Macmillan, Draco Malfoy, Cormac McLaggen, Graham Montague, Theodore Nott, Mafalda Prewett, Adrian Pucey, Rolf Scammander, Ronald Weasley & Romilda Vane
House of Inquest: The successor of the Wizengamot, all fifty-three members of this house are voted on by the wizarding populace of the isles. The higher the concentration of magical folk in an area, the more seats in the house the area maintains. E.g. Hogsmeade and Cokesworth, being the two largest Wizarding settlements in the isles with sixteen and eleven seats respectively. The house is headed by the Orator, who represents, leads and dictates the decorum of the house in all meetings.
Incumbent Orator of the House: Lord Dennis Prewett, née Creevey.
Department of Magical Law Enforcement: (DMLE) Responsible for upholding the laws set forth by the Conclave. The largest of the departments and all other departments were answerable to this one; the Department of Mysteries were the only exception in certain cases.
Incumbent High Enchantress: Lady Daphne Greengrass
Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes: (DMAC) Tasked with the prevention, containment and/or reversal of magical mishaps. It’s main goals currently are protecting the Statute of Secrecy and preventing all muggle interference in the magical community.
Incumbent High Warlock: Roger Davies
Department of International Magical Relations: (DIMR) Serving as the communication between the British Conclave and other magical governments around the world, this department currently focuses on repairing the relationship between Magical Britain and their neighbors in France, Germany and the Nordic Ministries.
Incumbent High Warlock: Lord Theodore Nott
Department for Regulation of Magical Creatures: (DRMC) Dedicated to the restoration, protection and maintaining cooperation amongst the many different magical beings, beasts and spirits of Magical Britain. They work alongside magizoologists and the DMLE to better protect and incorporate the magical species in the British Isles.
Incumbent High Warlock: Rolf Scammander
Department of Magical Transportation: (DMT) In charge of the regulation of transportation services of wizarding Britain. The department became highly regarded following the brief establishment of Rappaport’s Law, because safe transport in and out of the isles became almost impossible during the Purge. Now however, the mass production and regulation of advanced Vanishing Cabinets, and enchanted automobiles have become the new tools of transport.
Incumbent High Enchantress: Romilda Vane
Department of Magical Entertainment: (DME) In control of the proper operation, funding and safe establishment of entertainment sources and events—such as national and international Magical Sports (Quidditch, Wizarding Hockey, Quadpot etc etc.), Magical Cinemas/Theatres and the Magical Music scene. The department rose in popularity following the recognized end of the Purge in the year of 2005, when the Weasley family opened the very first Magical Cinema in Ottery St. Catchpole.
Incumbent High Warlock: Cormac McLaggen
Department of Mysteries: (DMY) The most secretive department, they are dedicated to the gathering of confidential research in the name of furthering the understanding magic. They are the only department not subjected to complete obeisance to the DMLE.
Incumbent Head Unspeakable: Lady Tracey Nott, née Davis
Hogwarts Board of Governors: A group of thirteen wizards and witches that oversaw the maintenance and running of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. They held the power to dictate the curriculum and every day operation of the school.
Incumbent Chairman: Lord Draco Malfoy
•••
British Magical Purge of the 2000s: Commonly referred to as the Great Purge or simply the Purge, the British Magical Purge was a mass witch hunt for witches, wizards and other magical species within Britain by covert sects of the British Muggle Government between 2000-2004.
The hunts were believed to be a retaliatory act by the muggles following the final battle between the Order of the Phoenix and the Impurities; Known by magic-kind as the Battle for London, the battle took place within the old Ministry of Magic, upon the streets of Muggle London as well as in the skies above the city. As her final act of terrorism, Bellatrix Lestrange flooded the Thames river. The sudden flood had already drowned at least two-thousand muggles by the time the order had managed to undo the flood.
The muggle reaction to the flood saw associates of the incumbent Muggle Prime Minister, who secretly knew of Magic, hire mercenaries to begin the Purge: this led to a large scale series of witch hunts and magical massacres, unseen since the time of Salem.
The Purge saw numerous witches, wizards and other beings such as werewolves, vampires, squibs, muggles who married into the magical community, hags, centaurs, merlings, goblins and house elves persecuted, captured and murdered.
In response, the British Conclave was formed out of the ruins of the Ministry. Efforts to maintain the Statute of Secrecy as well as sustaining the already diminished, magical population, the Conclave temporarily adopted the American made “Rappaport’s Law” (an era colloquially called “Rappaport’s Reign). The swift segregation of magical folk from the muggles, and harsh operations of oblivation to those within muggle governments, resulted in a slow, but eventual return of peace within the British magical community.
•••
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry: The primary source of education for British wizarding youth, Hogwarts serves as a strong bastion of peace and protection for the future wizarding generations.
Current staff is as follows:
Bathsheda Babbling: Ancient Runes
Cuthburt Binns: History of Magic
Colin Lovegood: Head of Gryffindor House, Charms & Enchanted Items
Dean Thomas: Matron
Gabrielle Delacour: Foreign Magical Studies
Kreacher the House Elf: Caretaker & Head Elf
Firenze: Astronomy & Divination
Neville Longbottom: Headmaster
Pansy Longbottom: Head of Slytherin House, Defensive Magic Studies

Padma Patil: Head of Ravenclaw House, Transfiguration & Dueling Club Head

•••
The Seven Swords of Britain: A term coined by Witch Weekly’s Editor in chief, Lavender Brown, the Seven Swords of Britain are—in accordance to numerous public polls and interviews—the current, seven most influential and prominent wizarding families within the isles.
The recognized families are:
The Esteemed House of Carrow: Headed by Flora Carrow, Flora Carrow is the largest trader of magical foreign goods and a philanthropist, who aided in the refugee crisis following the Calamity of Diagon Alley in 2001. She became the head of her family following the death of her uncle, Amycus Carrow—known Death Eater and Impurity.
Commonly associates with Houses Malfoy and Nott. Though keeps a precarious relationship with other families such as the Montagues and McLaggens.
The Noble and Most Ancient House of Longbottom: A revered member of Dumbledore’s Army and the Order of the Phoenix, Lord Neville Longbottom serves as the current Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Through his inheritance as the sole Longbottom heir and his scandalous marriage to Pansy Parkinson, the Longbottoms holds one of the largest wealths in Great Britain. Wealth, that they have been known to spend readily on Hogwarts and numerous charities.
Commonly associates with Houses Lovegood, Macmillan, Parkinson, Patil, Tonks and Weasley. Also viewed as the peacemakers between the feuding Notts & Weasleys.
The Honourable House of Lovegood: Presumed the youngest of the revered families, Luna Lovegood is a well known household name. Current proprietor of the Quibbler—the largest source of news in all of magical Britain and the Lovegood Magical Sanctuary, located on the once disdained isle of Drear. Luna Lovegood married Colin Creevey in 2003. Whereas Luna continues to serve as a magizoologist and newspaper owner, her husband currently works as a professor at Hogwarts.
Commonly associates with the Houses Longbottom and Weasley; as well as the Bones, Creevey, Goldstein and Scammander families. Currently bonded in marriege to House Prewett through her husband’s brother.
The Noble and Most Ancient House of Malfoy: Initially pushed to the outskirts of society following their known patronage of Voldemort, Draco Malfoy returned the honour of his family following his efforts in the defense of Diagon Alley during its Calamity. The Malfoy’s are also recognized as a large benefactor to Sinestra’s Sanatorium for Magical Maladies.
Commonly associates with Houses Carrow, Greengrass and Weasley. Bonded in marriage to the Weasleys through the Greengrass sisters, their relationship is cordial at best.
The Honourable House of McLaggen: Cormac McLaggen is fatefully remembered for his efforts in maintaining the Statute of Secrecy through numerous Obliviation Operations in 2002-2006. Though not as wealthy as the Malfoys, Notts or Weasleys, the McLaggen’s wealth is enough to shoulder the funding for his current office as head of the Department of Magical Entertainments: Sports, Cinemas and Music.
Commonly associates with the Davies, Brown and Wood families. Also, highly supports the Notts when in opposition to the Weasley-Greengrass-Malfoy political block.
The Noble and Most Ancient House of Nott: Lord Theodore Nott and Lady Tracey Nott née Davis are respected as two of the most prominent members of the Conclave—Lord Theodore serving as High Warlock of the Conclave’s Department of International Magical Relations and Lady Tracey as the head Unspeakable for the British Department of Mysteries. The Nott family are also referred to by the epithet “The Lords of Trent” due to their ownership of a large fraction of land near Nottingham.
Commonly associates with the House of Carrow and freely indulges with other families such as Davies, Brown, Macmillan, Montague, Pucey, and Vane.
The Noble and Most Ancient House of Weasley: Perhaps the most desirable of families, Lord Ronald Weasley is most fantastically recognized for bringing a formal end of the Second Wizarding War after he successfully dueled and defeated Bellatrix Lestrange and the Impurities in the Battle for London. Through his marriage to Daphne Greengrass, his acquisition of the Black and Prewett family fortunes, and his successful production of a philosopher’s stone, Lord Ronald had become a large benefactor for the reconstruction of Magical Britain as a whole.
Commonly associates with Houses Longbottom and Lovegood. Hold close ties to families such the Bones, Delacours, Jordans, Spinnets, Thomas, Tonks and Woods. Tied by blood to the Houses of Black and Prewett and bonded in marriage to Houses Greengrass, Malfoy and the Creevey Family—an by extension, the Lovegoods as well.

“All this year, I have been battling with myself, wondering whether I should tell Dumbledore that Sirius was an Animagus. But I didn’t do it. Why? Because I was too cowardly.
And so I convinced myself that Sirius was getting into the school using Dark Arts he learnt from Voldemort, that being an Animagus had nothing to do with it ...”

Anonymous asked:
ooh femslash fics please. maybe some hcs on hogwarts girls in love, and how they survived during the umbridge era
Here’s the thing: we all know Dolores Umbridge is homophobic. She’s the type to be prejudiced and this is just one of the many beliefs she holds.
She genuinely does not think through the loophole of the decree declaring that boys and girls remain eight inches apart. When she sees same-sex couples floating around the hallways, she makes a decree declaring that nobody can be within eight inches of each other.
But Hogwarts is a school of magic and soon the female students band together in a show of solidarity against the most foul, horrid woman (whom they shudder to share the same gender with) who has ever walked its halls.
Parvati and Lavender are beautifully in-sync as always. When Trelawney is fired, they lie together in their bed (which bed? their two beds are basically one) and dream up future universes. They start planting tea leaves on Umbridge’s desk, shaped like all sorts of weapons and curse movements, and pour the tea itself on the floor. They break crystal balls and leave glass shards on her chair. They carve Trelawney’s initials into her cat pictures with their perfectly painted nails. Their love for the only teacher who has never mocked their overt femininity and interest for Divination turns out to be the thing that makes them realize their love for each other.
Luna and Ginny balance each other out. One is calm and serene, and the other feisty and fiery. Umbridge makes the mistake of insulting Xenophilius Lovegood in front of everyone in the class. Luna does not react, but later that evening she lets loose a series of creatures previously thought non-existent in Umbridge’s office (both at Hogwarts and the Ministry). Ginny steals all of Umbridge’s quills and replace them with ones that don’t cut into students’ skin, but mails the blood quills to the French ministry of magic (being the future sister-in-law to the Delacours has this one advantage).
Hermione and Pansy are unlikely allies. They bond together after Umbridge hurls insults at Pansy’s habit of mouthing off to everybody and makes comments about her mother. Pansy is enraged, but she is a Slytherin beyond her rage, and she decides to join the Squad when Umbridge offers. She meets up with Hermione in the library and asks for help in taking the pink-clad woman down. Hermione takes little time to realize that Pansy makes a very good spy. She can always be sure to avoid Umbridge and Malfoy and their cronies. It turns out, too, that Pansy is great at DADA when Umbridge is not here - and she helps Hermione annotate textbooks to distribute to other students. And if Pansy demands a kiss for her service? It’s the least Hermione can do, after all.
Marietta, in this timeline, is not recruited into any group. Cho knows that she wouldn’t join. Instead she is to give Cho information about the Ministry, so Cho can keep others safe and think of ways to counteract against the Ministry’s propaganda. She talks a lot about Cedric’s death, and though it hurts her, she knows it’s ultimately best that others know about the bravest and sweetest boy she’s ever had the honor to know.
Padma, Lisa Turpin and Sue Li hide behind their books as befits a Ravenclaw girl. The thing is, though, nobody really checks to see what they’re reading as long as the cover isn’t anything too suspicious. They sneak copies of the Quibbler while disguising it as Witch Weekly. They bring in books that Umbridge had banned and give it out to other students, making sure to have translation spells for those who read best in their mother tongue.
Hannah, Susan and Megan Jones benefit from the reputation of their house. Nobody suspects them of anything, since they’re the quiet ones at the back of the room who don’t do much. They’re the ones who secretly rearrange Umbridge’s belongings, shifting them slightly to the left or right. They also ensure to befriend Peeves, keeping him a vital ally.
Millicent Bulstrode, Tracey Davis, and the Greengrass sisters are the most terrifying quartet who have ever thrived together in Slytherin. The most close-knit group of female friends in the nineties. They all infiltrate the Inquisitorial Squad and take it down from the inside, causing chaos. Plus, with Death Eaters for close relatives, they know best how to cause pain discreetly.
Lily Moon and Sally-Anne Perks are the ones nobody see coming. They are the ones who bring everyone together. The soft-spoken peacemakers who grew up in households where women wielded power through appearances of docility. They’re the ones who attract Umbridge’s praise and take up her time. They’re the ones who calm any disagreements.
Romilda Vane and Leanne, who finally confessed their feelings for each other, are the ones who keep everything running. They distribute Skiving Snackboxes, Dungbombs and Fanged Frisbee’s. They write anonymous, threatening letters to Fudge and Umbridge. Romilda, the most talented potioneer of her year, brews all sorts of non-fatal but terribly inconvenient potions to be slipped into Umbridge’s food. Leanne, who has a criminal record in the Muggle world for stealing, nicks all of Umbridge’s Veritaserum and Spellotape and cat plates. She also plants a little artifact in Umbridge’s fireplace so that smoke blows at her face each time she attempts to contact anybody.
Angelina, Alicia and Katie (the queens of Gryffindor, the cutest ship and the third wheel/captain/may or may not be with them) run Quidditch practices for anyone who wants to hone their skills or pick up a new sport. They get brooms from Merlin-knows-where and make sure that everybody’s safe and that nobody gives anything away. And ultimately the trio are so nice that nobody really wants to anyway.
Minerva McGonagall, Aurora Sinistra, Pomona Sprout, Charity Burbage, Bathsheda Babbling, Septima Vector and Poppy Pomfrey (or as the students call them, the seven wonders of the castle) may or may not be working to help them as best they can. Poppy heals all the injuries, Charity instructs the girls who were raised by Muggles how best to blend into the wizarding world, Pomona gifts them plants and teaches them the coded language of flowers, Minerva transfigures the evidence of what goes on into innocuous things (and helps a lot herself), Septima and Aurora keep a lookout for Umbridge and those that sympathize with her, and Bathsheda is the one to teach runic codes to help students communicate.
Ultimately, Dolores Umbridge leaves. She never sees the girls working behind the scenes, whispering in darkness, writing coded notes, kissing and holding hands and loving each other and blossoming in adolescence. It’s only when she’s in Azkaban, reading articles from days-old newspapers, that she realizes just how much she has underestimated the majority of her former students.

The Sweetest Curse
The Sweetest Curse https://ift.tt/A5J0ZN7 by galaxy_skies Hermione doesn’t realise until she’s already sat down and pulled out her parchment and quills that she’s forgotten her copy of Advanced Rune Translation. She hunches her shoulders as she digs futilely through her bookbag only to come up empty-handed. It’s only the second day of term and she’s already going to fall behind. She remembers reading it on the train and then – nothing. She must have left it – idiot – and she wants to sink into her seat as Professor Babbling calls the class to attention. With a furtive glance, Hermione looks to her left. Of all people – it’s Malfoy sat beside her – his chin propped in his hand and a faraway look in his eyes. He blinks as Hermione carefully shifts closer, dragging her parchment with her. Words: 2911, Chapters: 1/1, Language: English Series: Part 15 of Dramione Month 2024 Fandoms: Harry Potter - J. K.
