Itâs a Tuesday night in October and itâs one of your usual work nights where your beloved routine takes place. It's nothing out of the ordinary really, itâs evening time and you had just finished creating your content and filming it.
You're standing in front of your vanity mirror massaging your face after your skincare routine, your phone buzzing a notification that your food order is ready for pickup so you rush to slip something warm on.
You werenât someone born with a certain passion or ambitious enough to get a big degree, but you did manage to get a bachelorâs degree in accounting about seven years ago and you did get a job at a local company as a junior accountant, but it just wasnât enough.
Youâd get your paycheck and spend it only on necessities, it was enough money for you to survive, but never enough to get you the life you wanted.
You ran into a couple acquaintances a couple years ago and only three hangouts later, and youâd kill to be in their shoes.
Not only were they living the life you wanted, they owned the house you imagined having in your dreams, owned luxurious cars and hell even traveled places youâve never even heard of before.
You thought youâd find a part time job and juggle with the one you had back then but it was impossible, and when you did the math, youâll basically still be in debt.
Instead of taking a step forward you decided to take two steps back and just quit your job, you hated waking up early and hated the fact that you worked under someone, and the money wasnât even worth it.
One of your friends suggested content creating, and you thought it through, you have nothing to film that people would be interested in seeing, nor that life thatâs worth documenting.
âNo idiot, I meant onlyfans.â
And it made you feel uneasy at first, but you remember your first night filming your very first video vividly.
You invested your last couple of hundreds of bucks and got a video camera, the shop even handed you a tripod as a âthank you for buying one of our worst camerasâ and you ran back home to set it up.
And honestly the whole video was you faking an orgasm and attempting to make sounds that are supposed to get you an audience. And you proceeded to edit it into a short ten minute video and post it.
The app gave you an option on how much you could charge your audience and you chose to charge only five bucks for a subscription, youâre just testing waters.
Gotta say you werenât really hopeful about it.
You showered that night thinking, what if this was actually it? You might have just changed your life with the stupid few minutes you just filmed of you putting on an act.
Not even 20 minutes later you head out and run back to your phone to find a SMS message from your local bank, oh my god this has to be it.
You hurriedly unlock your phone to read the message, but it was only a confirmation text that you had connected your account to this sketchy website, which made you sulk a little, but really what were you expecting.
Even when this was a little over two years ago you still remember the second you got your first subscription, and it was basically the day after your first video, and it was only 4 subscriptions ( basically twenty bucks. ) but you knew that this was just the beginning, and you knew you had to invest more into it if you were going to live the luxurious life.
And there you are, two years later, you did buy a penthouse in a luxurious neighborhood, you managed to make your first investment and bought a couple apartments that you rent out for college students, you also bought not one, but two freaking cars that are freakishly expensive.
Not to mention you now invite your friends to go hiking or traveling together.
And last but not least, your cat Coco who you adopted right away, every time you came home you look at her with heart eyes when she waits for you by your door, she curls up right by your feet and sometimes she would make failed attempts of jumping right onto you and you find it unbelievably adorable, sometimes sheâd even fall asleep right by your keyboard when youâre uploading your content and she is irreplaceable.
Fuck the degree, this is the best decision youâve ever made.
Back to now, youâre throwing on your pair of sneakers and grabbing your car keys ready to go pick up your fried chicken. âIâll be right back Coco okay?â
Your stomach was growling you can hear it resonate through the elevator walls, you head out the security and they greet you warmly.
Not only because youâre the most humble out of all the residents, also because youâre the most generous out of them all, treating them for dinners and lunches and sometimes buying gifts for the cleaners, they adore you. Not to mention you were a generous tipper!
You head out the building to watch a young man feeling up your car, a helmet in his hand and his motor bike parked right beside yours, now you usually didnât mind, until you see him checking out your license plate and taking pictures of your car, his hand is about to touch the door handle before you voice out. âHey!â
As if his body was prepared, a surge of adrenaline rushes through his system and his heartbeat becomes rapid, heâs fully alert that youâre after him now and as a response for his sense of urgency or fear, he throws on his helmet and right when heâs about to get onto his bike, he bumps into your car accidentally making the alarm go on.
âGet back here.â You are seconds away from running after him but you know you wonât be able to catch up. He manages to gain his balance back onto his motor bike right away and drives it fast enough to disappear out of your sight in seconds. âIdiot.â
You take a quick spin around your car just to check on it before unlocking it and getting in and buckling up, the stupid guy is long forgotten when you hear your stomach growling again, you havenât had a bite after breakfast this morning, so you rush to pick up your food order and go back home.
-
Being your own boss made a bit careless about weekends, every day was a weekend to you practically, you only waited for the weekends occasionally if you were hanging out with some of your friends.
Itâs Friday and the neighborhood you live in gets quite busy on the weekend nights, people who live in this areas usually host cocktail parties and reunions on fridays, some times newlyweds rent out the near by mansions for their honeymoon and it does get a little noisy.
You were never a fan of traffic and you hated having to stay long in the car so you avoided leaving your place unless it was really urgent.
âSo are you coming or not?â Your best friend Natty is on the phone, you can hardly hear her when music around her is so loud.
Your friends have decided on hitting the club to celebrate someoneâs promotion but with the traffic outside it was impossible for you to leave your place.
Plus you have a schedule you have to follow and you have to post something tomorrow and you havenât filmed the content yet, so basically you had to work tonight so youâre not going anywhere, or at least thatâs what you thought.
âNo Nat iâm afraid not, i have some work left to do and iâm waiting for the gate keeper to come over and wash my car.â
You can easily imagine her rolling her eyes when she speaks. âUgh, iâll pick you up, work can wait, youâre your own boss.â
âEnjoy your night Natty, iâll chat about it with you tomorrow.â You hang up right away and open the app on your phone to figure out whatâs the meal youâll devour on once youâre finished.
And honestly Sushi sounds good right now, so with no second thoughts you choose the items you want and add them to your cart, before you get up onto your feet and head to your room.
The room you specifically had designed for this type of content, not like itâs that type of rooms, but accent dark walls and a large bed, with the camera set up prepared all the time on standby along with the lighting ready, and a storage compartment for your âtoolsâ and outfits.
Youâve grown to adore this job, not only do you do it to make money, but youâve made a great amount of online subscribers that make you love doing it just so you can have a chat with them.
You get changed and right before you hit record you made sure to hit the order button for your sushi, so by the time youâre done youâll have your food delivered by your door.
It doesnât take you over 30 minutes to make a clip that you know youâll have a hard time editing ( which was basically the worst part ever. ) so you get up and make it to your shower to clean up and get into a comfy pair of pants and a sweater, it was freezing cold outside and even with your fireplace on you were still freezing.
A small pop up banner on the top of your phone screen showed notifying you that the order was ready for pickup, which you recall you asked for it to be delivered.
A few clicks and failed attempts to get it delivered it was practically impossible, so you slid on your pair of sneakers and grabbed your car keys. âIâll be home soon Coco.â You pet her and smother her with kisses before heading out.
Looks like no matter how hard you tried avoiding leaving your house you were eventually coerced to.
The traffic was unbearable, not only was it a friday night, the holiday season was coming up in a month or even less and people couldnât stay home even when thereâs a blizzard outside.
You rush to get into your car and quickly shuffle your fingers over the buttons to heat up the seats and the steering wheel. The sushi place wasnât that far away but why walk there when you can drive? Specially when snow was expected on the weather forecast tonight. Although walking there wouldâve probably been faster.
On regular basis it wouldâve been a 15 to 20 minute drive to the place but on maps it was clear enough that this ride will take at least 35 to 40 minutes.
Luckily you didnât have to worry about the temperature of your food-
Although you tried to be positive about it but you most certainly have driverâs rage and itâs starting to piss you off that the lights turned green and people arenât driving yet.
You wouldâve flashed your lights at the cars if you were patient enough but youâre not, so you honk the horn repeatedly and you couldnât care less if people judged you for honking this late at night.
It bothers you even more that bikers just manage to slip between the vehicles and just cross the lights that are turning orange by now and soon come to red.
âWill you come on.â You whine before unbuckling your seat belt and turning off your car, and right after you leave your car and close your door, you were seconds away to scolding the driver in front of you when suddenly a searing pain is felt on your lower half, you could quite literally hear something breaking as if your bone is tearing apart, itâs jolting inside your body and itâs hard to ignore.
As if your nervous system was on alert your hand subconsciously moves to your leg, your eyesight even wonders there wondering if you even still have your leg attached to your body, and you immediately feel nauseous and breathless, youâre pretty sure youâre about to pass out.
âMaam are you okay?â
Scratch that. You already did.
The engines of the cars and bikes ( specifically the one that ran over you ) suddenly feel far away and you no longer hear them, your eyelids feel heavy and you immediately lose consciousness.

Okay maybe itâs not that reckless of a life, on the verge of being 30 yet feeling like he hadnât still lived his entire dreams, he insists on doing everything he wanted even if it costed him a fortune.
Of course, he wants to go explore somewhere new? Heâd do it, even if heâs in debt, he knows heâd end up starving for the rest of the month, living his best life was a priority and frankly his priorities are severely off.
He wants to drive a boat? Heâd do it, even when heâs positive that heâll never own one but hey, itâll be a fun experience. Heâll have to give up on a couple of things this month as well
Of course his friends are joining a bikers club, why not join it too? It would be great to own a bike. It took him nights to figure out what to give up next and the only option he has was his car and in his defense it made sense. With the money he can learn how to drive a motor bike and even own the newest yet coolest bike in town.
So? Of course he sells his car and gets the lessons and even owns one of the best remodeled motor bikes ever.
This bike was a legit babe magnet, his good looks helped too but the bike played a bigger role than he did, wherever he went he would get the attention, even when he washed his bike in the nearby gas station he would have girls drooling over him.
Actually one of his latest encounters progressed into having the lady as his backpack on his bike when he drove across the city to show her how fast he can go, of course he ended up in her bed
Heâs a little more financially stable now after he settled for his bike, he would end up being in debt because his job doesnât pay that well, he does photography for fun and it was initially his hobby, he doesnât have that many costumers but when he does he gets paid well.
His obsession for luxurious expensive cars was endless, he enjoyed visiting luxurious neighborhoods just to check out the cars there, one of the recent cars he saw was the black mercedes suv that was parked in front of a skyscraper in the middle of city and it drew all his attention, and to his shock it was driven by a young lady like you, he panicked that night and quickly rushed to get onto his bike and drove away to avoid getting into trouble.
Your car was custom made to your desire with the options you wanted, so basically it is one of a kind and there are no other cars like yours.
And tonight was one of the numerous friday nights where him and his friends would go bike outside the city and to his luck he was really late, and traffic tonight was insane, so he put his helmet on and drove really fast to catch up with his people, he started gliding through traffic and slicing through the lanes, he can hear people cursing which he was used to at this point but he needed to get there like right now!
He was focused on the narrow gaps being sure to dodge the mirrors and people who were on foot, he was a really excellent driver even when there was barely a breath of space left between his bike and other cars.
His phone let out a familiar chime signaling a new message and it had caught his attention, he was aware that his phone shouldnât make a distraction while heâs driving but when itâs his friend Taehyung sending him a different location stating that they changed their gathering point, he had to check it out.
âFuck-â he muttered and tried hard to focus both on the road and on his phone, when maps loaded and showed him the new spot he pinched the screen to figure out the where the alley was when suddenly he bumped onto something- or someone he wasnât sure, his phone fell to the floor and he was close enough to fall off his bike, hearing people panicking around him he was pretty positive that he ran over a person.
He cursed on the inside and debated on whether to stop or just run, but he did eventually hit his brakes, the screech of his tires making a deafening sound, his heart sank when he saw an actual person dragged onto the floor, a lady actually.
A look of sheer panic on his face when he realizes that this is an actual accident and itâs making a really big scene amongst this entire traffic. âMaâam are you okay? Someone call an ambulance!â Someone yells from behind and rushes past Jungkook to offer help.
People were pretty sure they heard the sound of your bones breaking even when the engines were loud but it was unmistakable, Jungkook kneels down to the ground mortified that you could probably be dead!
âMaâam are you okay?â And to his luck at this point you completely passed out, going totally unaware of your surroundings. Which makes him panic even more.
-
Is it nausea hitting you or what? Youâre pretty sure youâre awoken by that, youâre swallowing repeatedly when your eyes flutter open, your pupils stirred, scanning your surroundings abruptly.
Unfamiliar place, unfamiliar faces, the smell is horrific and itâs really noisy and bright around here
Your eyes feel heavy again, you blink several times unsteadily, your mind finding it hard to catch up with your body, are you paralyzed?
Your breath slowly becomes shallow when you start to panic, and youâre pretty sure youâre conscious now but youâre totally disoriented to everything.
âMaâam, itâs okay youâre safe now, can you tell me your name?â
Your name? It takes you a few moments to piece together what your name was, this was the silliest question yet you are unable to answer.
You can talk, but you canât remember.
Tears fogged your eyes and right when youâre about to shake your head you realize that you canât, your neck is stabilized with a brace and something hurts when you try to move. âI donât remember.â
Someone on the opposite corner of the room who was watching from a far almost passes out when he think he mightâve actually caused permanent damage to you.
Your tears roll down to the corner of your eyes eventually falling to your ears, you hate the fact that youâre unable to wipe your own tears.
You blink repeatedly and your heart drops when you actually see police officers above your head waiting to interrogate you.
You hear the team around you blabbering some medical terms that you find yourself totally ignorant of before you speak again. âWhat happened?â
âYou got hit by a bike, the x ray shows that your leg is fractured and your knee was disloacted, we already put your leg in a cast and youâre likely to be given crutches, but you donât have to worry at all, everything is going to heal with time and the right treatment, weâll hand your folder to orthopedics when youâre out of here so you can follow up with them. As for now we need to get an MRI to help us get a clearer look of whatâs going on.â He elaborated that it rarely happens when people temporarily experience memory loss but it was just a check up and you wanted to make sure you were fine too, and find out why on earth you canât remember your own name.
Once the doctors disappear you see a familiar face hovering over your head, long dark hair covering his forehead and eyes that you cannot comprehend the feelings behind, is he someone you know?
âIâm truly sorry, i didnât see you.â So is he the one that hit you?
âHow long have i been unconscious?â You ask, your pupils still scanning his face and your surroundings, he grabs out his phone and takes a glimpse at his screen. âItâs been about four hours.â
A bunch of nurses come by to take you back down to do the scan and you know that the guy with the dark hair is still hovering around because he keeps asking if youâre going to be okay.
Once youâre prepped for the machine with a pair of earplugs the entire team leaves the room and youâre left on your own.
You know the image will take a while so you need to calm yourself down and try and relax, loud rhythmic banging is hear once the machine operates and you shut yours eyes tightly, even when you were never claustrophobic it feels like you are, itâs a little too small for your liking and it feels like youâre suffocating.
Focus on your thoughts, try and think of anything else!
Y/n, thatâs right, this was your name. You slowly recall your bedroom and try and imagine what your surroundings were.
What happened and how did you end up here? Your phone, oh no your car, you were driving, something involved sushi of some sort.
Your body relaxes a little and even with the loud thumping that is loud enough to deafen anyone, youâre a little relieved to be finally able to remember something.
The scan took about an hour and it felt a lot longer than it is, you were rolled back on the bed to the emergency room and again you spot the guy with the dark hair.
Youâve seen him once, just dig a little deeper.
âAre you okay?â He asks a little hesitant, his doe eyes monitoring you from head to toe, âthe doctors said the scan was perfectly fine.â
âAre you experiencing any pain?â The nurse walks closer with some meds on hand, she injects something into your catheter and moves even closer to take the brace off of your neck. âThe scan went well, your neck is okay itâs just that your ribs and ankle are a little bruised, bed rest should help you heal right away.â She flashes a smile before asking. âAny pain?â
âA little, yeah.â
It seems like she injected something to reduce your pain because once you answer her you suddenly feel like youâre floating, your pain feels a little less intense and a little more distant, your breath feels a lot slower and your limbs feel extremely heavy. âIâm fine.â
You havenât heard yourself talking but it was clear enough that youâre drugged and your thoughts were completely fogged and muddled.
âMaâam this officer Choi and iâm officer Lee , weâre just here to ask you a couple of questions.â
âSure.â Youâre finally able to move your neck and turn towards the two officers who you believe were four or probably eight, youâre ready to pass out any second now.
They start asking basic questions, your name and how old you were, and what you did for living, and you outdone yourself when you said that you do your job online from home, not mentioning and giving any further details.
âDid you notice the bike approaching you?â He asks, the officer behind him writing his notes down.
âNo, i didnât see him at all.â You look at the guy with the dark hair, your eyebrows pulling together when you try and brainstorm where you saw this guy. And honestly it feels like a workout!
âMr. Jeon ran you over with his bike and weâre still interrogating him once we hear from you, do you know him?â The officer asks. âA nearby station towed your car and Mr. Jeon gave them your address.â
Of course he did.
Heâs the biker you saw checking out your car earlier this week. As if Jungkook can see how youâre processing your thoughts his eyes widen when you speak. âYes, heâs totally after me, i saw him outside my building the other day.â
âAm not, officer sheâs heavily medicated just ignore that.â Jungkook defends himself. âIâve seen the car she drives a week ago and after i ran her over i realized that it was the same woman and the same car.â
âMr. Jeon iâm afraid we have to take you down to the police station for further interrogation.â The second police officer puts his notes in his pockets and takes out a pair of handcuffs. âSir please listen to me, i promise iâm telling the truth, i donâtâ I have no idea who she is.â
âMiss do you have anyone you can call? Like family or a friend? Mr. Jeon is the only one around and we need to take him over to the center, we just want to make sure youâll be doing okay and safe with someone.â
âDo you have my stuff? I canât see my keys and phone.â
âI have them with me,â Jungkook fishes out your stuff from his pockets and you scoff.
âOf course you do, now heâs stolen my phone and my keys.â You whine. âYou broke my leg what else do you want?â
âFor the record i was driving on the street like a normal person and you were walking, if you wanted to walk youâd do that at the sidewalk.â He arrogantly speaks while putting down your phone and keys on the stand next to you.
âAnd for the record, i saw the lights clearly turning red, you shouldâve stopped, so not only you ran me over and broke my leg, you also crossed a red light.â Youâre drowsy but you still have the power to argue, side eying the officer waiting for him to take note that this âMr. Jeonâ is double as guilty.
âWeâll run over the CCTV and check if what youâre saying is true.â The officer grabs your phone to hand it to you, âCan you call someone to be here with you?â
âYeah, my friend Natty, sheâs the first one on my contact listâ you unlock your phone and lazily open the contact list to call her, the officer proceeds to take the phone and talk to your best friend while you lay in bed and struggle to keep your eyes open. Once the officers are a little distracted and their attention is averted away from you, Mr. Jeon takes a step closer with his arms crossed. âCan you please tell them iâm innocent, iâll do anything you want, iâll give you money.â
âHow exactly are you innocent? Iâm here because of you.â Your mouth automatically moves as if itâs the only body part disconnected from your brain,
âHow much do you want? Iâll give it to you cash.â
âHmm, canât say iâm not intrigued.â You feign thinking before he blurts out. âYouâll take the money and just leave me alone.â
âWill your money fix my leg?â
He pauses for a second trying to think of an answer but you were faster. âThen no.â
âPlease, i canât go to prison, i was never there you canât be serious.â
âYour friend is on her way hereââ the officer walks back and hands you back your phone, an alert look on his face once he realizes that Jungkook was talking to you, a little paranoid thinking he might be offended you. âIn the mean time Mr. Jeon we need to have a talk with you.â
-
Youâre not sure whether is was a nap or some sort of coma, but your mouth feels dry and youâre a little groggy, youâre entire body feels lethargic and heavy and youâre pretty sure itâs the meds theyâve been pumping inside your veins for this entire night.
You take a glance at your surroundings and youâre still in the hospital this time in a private room, you feel extremely lost since you have no idea what time it is or if itâs day time or night time, once you turn your head to the right you spot a tall man wearing a dark leather jacket and holding a helmet in his right hand and a bouquet of flower in his left hand, his hair covering his eyes and a boxy smile on his smile that widens when you acknowledge his existence finally. âIâm sorry for bothering you- how are you feeling now? Any better?â
You start muttering words that donât form a sentence before you clear your throat and decide to switch on your brain for once. âI think youâre in the wrong roomââ
He flashes you a smile before tilting his head. âY/n, right? I was told youâre in room 613.â He puts the flowers onto your lap, adjusting them once before picking them back up. âI should probably put those in some water.â
âDo i know you?â You canât lose your memory again, it didnât feel very pleasant the last time.
âActually, iâm here hoping youâd do something awfully generous for meâ i know we just met, and you cannot believe how extremely shocking the news were to me, i was really worried over you, but iâm worried more over my friend Jungkook whoâs detained in the police station, they think he ran you over intentionally which believe me he wouldnât hurt a fly, heâs an incredible man who was really worried for your well being the whole time you were knocked outâ i mean passed out. However i really wish that you.. uhm..â
âOf course he sent you, listen sir, whatever your name isââ
âTaehyung.â He anxiously bites on his nails when he can sense rejection coming up from the way youâre speaking.
âYou seem just as reckless as he is,â you glance at his helmet. âSo if your entire biking cult begs me to let him out, i wonât.â You sternly speak, before blinking a couple of times. âArenât you guys a little too old for riding bikes?â
âY/n, please, heâs willing to do anything for you right now.â He begs again, putting his helmet onto the chair behind him and putting the flowers back onto your lap. âHe promised heâll pay your entire hospital bill and even take care of you if he needed to.â
Youâre a little intrigued, not the billâs wise, you could easily afford that. But the idea of having him to serve you and do whatever you needed does sound tempting.
âLet me think about it, iâll call the police station if i change my mind, but for the mean time i want you to leave please.â
âI appreciate it really, thank you so much, youâre so kind and generousââ
âJust leave Taehyung.â
-
âYou did not.â Jungkook runs his tongue against his cheek before clenching his jaw. âI will not do that if it costs me my life!â
âDo you wanna get out of here or not?â Taehyung glares at the younger one before taking a look around them. âYou donât belong here, besides itâs just a couple of months and youâll be over with.â
Jungkookâs face falls into his palms before he sighs. âi canât believe you suggested that.â
âI canât believe you broke the womanâs leg and ran her over.â Taehyung shrugs.
âIf it werenât for your message i wouldnât be here.â
-
âYou owe me.â Concealed anger filling your voice and youâre fighting every cell in your body to just not punch him and break both his legs in return.
He shifts in his spot and scratches the back of his head, trying hard to avoid rolling his eyes. âLook i didnât mean toââ
âOh i know.â You feign a smile. âOf course you didnât, but it doesnât change the fact that you did.â
You turn to look at the crutches sitting in the corner of the room waiting to be used. âSo hereâs how things are going to go, youâre going to make this up to me for breaking my leg. Every. Single. Day. Groceries, cleaning, fetching my meds, cooking, youâre going to stay up the night on standby in case i need something. And Who knows, maybe youâll learn how to be a decent human being along the way.â
âListen womanââ
âWhat he meant to say.â Taehyung laughs awkwardly taming his best friend, âheâll do it.â
Jungkookâs eyebrows shoot up. âYou want me to babysit her?â
âYes.â You answer instead. âConsider this as your punishment, itâs either this or jail, maybe youâll have your license taken away for life then.â
A defeated sigh escapes Jungkookâs lips before he shuts his eyes, fully surrendered. âAlright iâll do it.â
âGood.â You smirk, already plotting his next task, the taste of revenge was intoxicatingly good.

âââââ ââ
ââ
â âââââ
You were left utterly speechless, you didnât have anything to say to that and before you even had time to think of something to say back, he had taken his drinks and left. As much as you wanted to play along with whatever game he's playing, you couldn't deny that you felt guilty. You were hurting, and so was he, but you didn't know what to do to fix it.
As you walked back with all the drinks, you couldnât help but roll your eyes as Caitlin laughed at something Vinny said, acting like it was the funniest thing in the world.Â
âAfter we finish our drinks,â you whisper to Noah as you sit back down beside him, âWhy donât we go back to the hotel? Iâll say I feel tired and you could say youâve got a call you need to takeâŚâ
âTheyâll still be suspicious,â he says, âLet's just wait until weâre done here, okay? We've got nothing else on for the rest of the day, it'll be just you and me. All night.â He smiles, his hand rubbing up and down your thigh, sending shivers through your body, but you nod your head.Â
âItâs Bryanâs turn!â Nicholas cheered, turning his camera on to Bryan, "So far Noah's in the lead, Chris is pretty close and so is y/n! It's gonna be a close one."
âI donât know why Iâm still playing, Iâve already lost. You guys are all 50 points above me!â Bryan chuckled as he got up.
"C'mon, Bry, it's all just for fun." You smiled, and he shook his head as he went up to bowl.
In the end, you and Chris had the most points, and you only needed to score higher than 7 to beat him. He jokingly gave you a sly look as you got up, taking your turn.Â
As you rolled the ball, you hit 5 pins in the left corner. You knew you had this in the bag! Youâd easily beat Chris, there was no doubt.Â
You rolled the second ball, and hit 4, leaving one in the middle, yet winning the game!Â
You turned around, smiling as the guys cheered for you, all except Vin who was talking to Caitlin. You walked back to your seat, grabbing your bag and your phone, finishing your drink and grabbing Noah by the hand to pull him up.Â
âMy room or yours?â You asked, tilting your head as you looked up at him.Â
âItâs gotta be yours, doll. Iâm sharing with Matt tonight.â He whispered.
âCool, let him know youâre coming to my room to look at the pictures I took, to see if any of them are official page worthy.â You smiled, âIâll text you my room number.â
As you began to walk off after saying your goodbyes to the guys, who were staying behind for one more drink, you accidently bump into Caitlin as she digs through her bag for something.
"Sorry!" You gasps, and you smile, shaking your head.
"Don't worry about it," you notice how Vinny was at the bar with a couple of the guys, so you took the slither of time you've got to talk to her, "So how do you know Vin?"
"He followed me on instagram a few years ago, he'd always like my posts and reply to my stories. We try to meet up whenever we can- it's nothing like that though, we're just friends... Unless we're drunk in his hotel room." She giggles, and you smile and nod your head.
"Well, it's been great to meet you!" You say as you take a deep breath. You weren't jealous, why would you be jealous? She's a beautiful girl, he's a beautiful guy, of course they're going to get up to all sorts of things when they're alone.
So why were you so mad that they had a history, or that he invited her along today?
âââââ ââ
ââ
â âââââ
âFuck,â Noah groaned as you grabbed a handful of his tshirt, âI never thought this moment would come, where Iâd have you all to myself.âÂ
You grinned against the skin of his neck, where you were peppering kisses before you felt the back of your legs hit the bed. You wiggled your way up, your head now against the pillows as Noah hovered over you, the most devilish look on your face.Â
âYou beat all our asses out there, didnât you, beautiful?â He slips his hand under the sweater you were wearing, feeling your bare skin beneath his fingertips, âI donât know whether to reward you for doing so well, or teach you a lesson for being so cocky earlier.âÂ
When you thought his hand would travel higher towards your bra, he surprised you, his hand moved lower, and you felt it slip under your skirt, under the hip of your underwear and rested it there, his thumb tracing over your pubic bone.Â
âBut youâve been working so hard for us, I think itâs only fair that I say thank you.â He added, before asking permission to take your panties off.Â
He moved his way down your body, your sweater now pushed up, exposing your tummy where he kissed a trail down to your thighs, yet he insisted your skirt stayed on. You knew what you were doing when you got dressed this morning, part of you wore it to tease him, and although you wouldnât let yourself admit it, part of you wore it to tease Vinny too.Â
You felt bad for him, knowing how you let him down, but you suddenly stopped thinking about Vin when you felt Noahâs tongue on your clit, kissing, licking, nipping and sucking as you threw your head back, strings of moans leaving your lips as you melted into the pleasure, letting it consume you.Â
âSo fucking gorgeous, you know that?â You heard him say.Â
As his mouth worked on you, his hand moved its way to where you needed him. He teased your hole with his thumb, slipping the tip in before pulling back out, leaving you clenching around nothing as he smirked against your clit.Â
âNoah, please,â you begged, breathlessly, âI need you, stop teasing.âÂ
âI know, baby, look how wet you are,â he said, pushing himself up slightly as he ran his finger teasingly slow through your folds, collecting the slickness before he took his finger into his mouth, âBet itâs been a while since youâve been fucked, hasnât it? Poor thing.â He pouted before he dove back in.Â
âOh my g-â You slapped one hand over your mouth as the other tugged on his hair, you swore you felt him groan into your pussy as he brought his hand back up, his pointer finger slipping into you with ease, followed by his middle finger. "Fuck!"
His fingers fucked into you slowly, too slowly, but he knew how good it was making you feel and the noises you made as you were begging for more was music to his ears. He takes your thighs and places them over his shoulders as he sucks on your clit, his fingers curling into you, rubbing the spot you could never reach alone. He needed to see you come undone for him, he needed to watch your break in his handsÂ
He pulls his face back to kiss your thighs, the rough pad of his thumb now stroking circles over your clit, the slight stubble on his chin tickling you as sinks his teeth into your soft flesh, losing himself in the pleasure he was giving you.Â
âIâm so close,â you tell him, âIâm gonna-â
âGo on, baby,â he tells you between kisses to your clit as , âNeed to see how pretty you look when you cum, my pretty girl.â He mumbled into your flesh, as you felt your thighs tremble around him.Â
It didnât take long for you to finish, your walls clamping down around Noahâs fingers as he moaned into your skin. Even after your orgasm hit, he didnât move, he remained between your thighs until you had to force him off, the overstimulation becoming too much to handle. When he finally came up, he roughly grabbed your cheek in his hand, crashing his lips into yours as he moved up, kneeling between your thighs, you could finally feel how hard he was, and you were almost certain he had gone commando today.Â
âNoahâŚâ You panted, your forehead slightly damp with sweat as he rested his against it, âFuck me.â
âAnything you want, angel.â He smirked, and you felt his hands reach for the hem of your sweater, pulling it over your head, his lips parting at the fact you werenât wearing a bra. As he took one of your boobs into his hand, you worked on undressing him.Â
âItâs not fair that youâve still got all your clothes on.â You tell him as his fingers tease your nipple.Â
âIâm sorry, baby.â He says, slowly pulling back as he pulls his shirt over his head, revealing his fully tattooed chest, then pulling a condom out of his pocket before pushing his joggers down- and you were right, he wasnât wearing any boxers. âThat better?â He asked, leaning back down to kiss you again.Â
As you kissed, you felt his hips twitching involuntarily, his cock rubbing against your heat as you desperately tried to get more from him.Â
âNoah, pleaseâŚâ You begged, âplease fuck me, I need to feel youâŚâ
"You're so pretty when you're begging, baby." He teases. âAre you sure?â He was watching how frustrated and flustered you were as you screwed your eyes shut and tried rocking your hips, needing more.Â
âYes!â You whined, and he pulled back, you guessed to roll the condom on, and with no warning, you felt the head of his cock nudge against your walls as inch by inch he filled you up. You felt as tears fill your eyes, the pleasure from his cock filling you so perfectly mixed with the dull ache from the stretch and the pain of him remaining so still inside you.Â
He slowly began to move, his hand holding you down by your waist as the other pulled your legs to wrap around him, letting him fuck deeper into you as you cursed his name, your nails digging into his back.Â
After a while in this position, Noah flipped you over onto your stomach, and he reached down to position you with your ass up for him whilst your face was buried in the pillows. He continued to fuck you like this until you came for the second time, muttering incoherent nonsense as your second orgasm took over you, but judging by the look in Noahâs eyes, he still wasnât done.
He had you in every position, on every surface of your hotel room. From the bed to the desk in the corner, to the bathroom sink where he made you watch as you fell apart for him. You lost count of how many times you came, but just when you thought he was done, you were flipped over or lied down as he drove back into you, or got on knees to clean you up.
Hours had passed at this point, and the two of you were finally lying together on the bed, your limbs sore and your heart beating erratically as his fingers danced over the skin of your arm, holding you close with your head resting on his chest.
There were moments during your night together where you were using sex to release your built up frustration towards Vinny, knowing how much he would hate to know what you and Noah were up to, but you assumed he would be doing the same with Caitlin later so you assumed he wouldn't care.
"You okay?" Noah asked, gently twirling a piece of your hair before tucking it behind your ear.
"Yeah," you smile, tracing the outline of his stomach tattoo with your finger, trailing to just above his belly button, "I can't believe we just did that."
"I don't think I've ever lasted so long." He chuckled.
"Don't you go to the gym now? Your stamina would've improved." You point out, and he smirks.
"Yeah, I've been seeing the way you stare at me," he rubs his hand up and down his arm, "Don't think I don't notice, angel."
"Can you blame me?" You tilt your head to look up at him, "The last time I saw you, it looked like it would take one strong gust of wind to blow you over- and I mean that in the nicest way possible, that's literally my type- and now you look like you could bench press me?"
"So you're saying I'm your type?" He raised an eyebrow, a smug look across his face as you sat yourself up.
"No!" You tried to hide your smile.
"So what is your type?" He asked, his eyes meeting yours as he awaited your answer, but this only caused you to blush.
"I don't often like someone for their looks, it's always their personality. Someone funny, a bit of a nerd, has the same music taste as me, who stands for the right things... Someone who doesn't care about what other people think of them. That's what I find attractive."
"Y'know you basically just described me, y/n." He smirked.
And Vinny.
"Shut up!" You smiled, "So what's your type?"
He thought for a moment, and you thought he was going to give you an honest answer, but then he started describing you. Your height, your hair colour, your body shape, your eye colour, before you interrupted.
"Noah, I'm being serious!"
"You think I'm lying? What have we been doing for the past three hours, princess?"
"You... Really like me?"
"You haven't noticed?"
"Oh, Noah." You frowned, and he reached out to pull you back onto his chest.

My Issues/Problems/Disgusts Resolved(?)
When you have issues, troubles, or disgusts with anything, the hardest but relieving thing to do coming to terms with them. A couple of years ago, I made a trilogy of posts exploring three people I found ranging from repugnant to devious. It came at a time when frustrations might as well have come out and frankly they were just about people everyone was more than aware of online. Enough time has passed and while this isn't just gonna be me apologizing or being remorseful for what I said, I want to I guess truly bury the hatchet and resolve these stuck-around feelings as somebody that has... been humbled a lot over these years (make of that what you will). This is coming from somebody that knows a lot about staying in your own head. So yeah, let's talk.
Lily Orchard [OP Link]
Gotta say that... nothing's really changed only in that it's all less with anger now. Put this first because it'll be short. To be as sincere as I can, she's just an unlikable person. Regardless of her out there opinions and ideas of media literacy, or her choices in fictional tastes, I won't be the guy that will throw every evil label and the kitchen sink onto her. Calling the spade a spade, even as a former fan I saw that within reason it was seeing a very insatiable and arrogant media "critic" with negative social skills. Hell, the mentions you see of her on Tumblr or Twitter especially are just the open secret that most people don't like her. For me, that resentment has become passive chagrin.
I won't convince anybody of who she can really be, how bad she can be at being both original and derivative, or what she is potentially. I wouldn't say a lost cause, but there's nothing complicated about this anymore. She's just a massive asshole. Not because of any human characteristic of hers, her opinions, or what was known about her in the past. Take away any personal semantics or bias, I remain only puzzled about how her circle is able to tolerate her presence because she's just an unlikable person and that's all on her.
Butch Hartman {OP Link}
2020 basically was the year where a man responsible for one of the most popular cartoons on Nickelodeon finished swan-diving his reputation just as fast as the likes of John K and Justin Roiland. From scheming a streaming service that still isn't out of early access yet to making a Christian flash cartoon that looks 20 years too late. It's a classic story of pride coming before the fall, culminating in his Youtube channel being a wasteland aside from sketch tiktoks that barely make the thousands in views despite his huge follower count. As much as LSMark looked to make good-faith conversation with him recently, Butch basically became a ghost now after all the controversies died down.
Now despite what I said initially, Butch's fall in reputation is definitely not comparable to Kricfalusi or Roiland's; we've heard nothing of him physically taking advantage of anybody in or out the industry. The worse he's done is take advantage of his legacy for either financial or supportive gains. This is not as bad as domestic or sexual assault of course, but it spoke wonders of how the ego of big time creators can kill any goodwill and faith when they're not actually considerate of the following that respect them. A quick search of his name on Youtube is more about the people discussing his controversies than anything he worked on. People still discuss Danny Phantom and Fairly Oddparents, hell the Cosmo mpreg episode is a meme to this day, but with the detachment towards Butch as the creator.
I'm fine with this predicament, but it's sad to believe this was all on him. It wasn't just about Oaxis being a scam or him saying "he created your childhood" or heaven forbid his attempts of promoting religious healing, it was about seeing a creator of some things you liked reveal himself as someone in a bubble that you lose any idea in looking up to. It's not exactly "Don't Meet Your Heroes," more "Don't glue on rose-tinted glasses". I won't force or insult what remains of Butch's "fanbase" for sticking with him, but this definitely woke me up in terms of how I view the creators I love. Humility is the special word in all this, where some creators can have some disapproving moments but you can still have respect for their craft. With Butch, it wasn't even him entirely that made his shows look great. As of now, he's making poorly illustrated kid's bible stories with Fairly Oddparents getting a live-action show that Nickelodeon regretted making immediately after releasing to the point of erasing it all not even a full year after it was first announced. Even when things are probably fine now, the guy fell off as hard as I expected originally. I can seriously put this behind knowing I was factually right on the money the first time and that does put a smile on my face.
Also... Butt Shartman. That's all, let's move on.
Mysterious Mr. Enter (OP Link)
I'll say this was the reason why I made this post. Lily and Hartman I say speak of an absence of change and reflecting on that absence. Mr. Enter is different and, cut to the chase, it has to do with this recent video.
youtube
I've talked my fair share of shit toward Mr. Enter these past few years, reasonably so. At the same time, my vitriol toward him came from some semblance of respect. Many have to this day brought up Mr. Enter calling out the writers of Spongebob for a particular episode they did, but John is right in that that was around the time he barely had a following and just started out with media reviews. Mr. Enter has made bad opinions, I will never deny that and this isn't me defending him, but I see that he can recognize they're bad. He's better than Lily Orchard in that... he can admit being wrong and grow from it. We meme and shit on this dude, but for me, there was still that modicum of respect I had for him being this dedicated. In spite of the harassment or the justified backlash, he's still putting in the effort.
Over the years, I've come to understand that media critics can have different understandings of media. That doesn't mean every critic is always right in their own way, grifters exist for a reason, but I don't see Mr. Enter as a grifter-type critic compared to people who to this day complain about The Last Jedi. He can have some off takes on the types of humor or tropes in a cartoon, but more often than not he's being sincere. That's why I say he still has some respect from me for as long as I've known him. Every bad take aside, I don't take him as somebody who is "ruining media criticism".
I don't agree with everything he says or believes, but John's doing better than I can say for Butch Hartman or Lily Orchard especially. He's doing Admirable Animations again, something I brought up originally, and am intrigued to see that he indirectly took my advice. He can work well with more positive videos. I never felt he was an actively terrible critic, Turning Red meme aside, and I didn't want to just treat him as the bane of online media criticism or the worst thing to ever happen. The dude has his faults but can acknowledge them better than most online personalities I've seen who feel it's weak to admit anything. He's no different from the Nostalgia Critic where the tumultuous attitudes toward them in the past have subsided where yeah, I'm not gonna side with every bad opinion or choice they make but they aren't actively killing any goodwill I would have for them. It's not pity, but making your empathy less black and white compared to people more deserving of scrutiny. Overall I still have hopes Mr. Enter will do better, imperfect as things can get.
Conclusion
I wanna say this post and the former three I made reflected the increased awareness and discourse of the parasocial relationships we can have, especially online. There have been plenty of people that certainly abused their status and paid for it, these three stayed in the mind for how consistently they tracked in soiling their reputation. At the same time, how wary we are about things or the people we followed isn't always cut and dry. That's why the title has the question mark in parentheses, nothing ever ends so I'm not saying these current feelings will just be buried away and forgotten forever. I just know that for this current future, it's better to seriously lay things to rest while subconsciously keeping in mind what can be done differently from now on. To conclude, this is all better than having to care about people like Andrew Tate or Elon Musk living another day.

I'm out here doing adult shit, pertaining to the car they left me, that my idiot sister and her idiot husband shoulda done years ago but fuck me sideways, right? Nobody likes doing adult shit but you gotta do it anyway. That man is the actual physical embodiment of the word man-child.
Edit: finished this at home. Been at this nonsense all day long.
So while waiting for this long ass line I'm gonna talk for a sec about Jelani (the original version).
You look up any of his info in whatever post on here or my account on toyhouse and under gender you'll find it says non-binary.
When I first came up with this character around late 2006 I had his gender as male. He was born male, assigned male at birth, and identified as male. So if people asked about this particular character or in questions I'd say he was male and used he/him pronouns. Through the years and as I developed him I would then answer this as "unsure/questioning" 'cause I honestly felt it was right for him and honestly I was set on leaving it as unsure/questioning forever but with time and as I discovered the non-binary option I kinda unofficially used it for him. I just kinda fell in love with that idea for him.
So probably like 2 years (maybe) after sitting on that change and really feeling like it just fit the character I said that he identified as non-binary after years of questioning his gender. So now in questions of the character I put down non-binary because that's how he identifies.
Now, his feelings when it comes to being non-binary doesn't mean that he disowns anything and everything within the spectrum of genders. He's very comfortable with he/him, they/them or she/her pronouns.
In fact, Abigail had asked him if he was okay with her referring to him only by she/her which he's totally okay with and ever since then she only uses she/her pronouns when addressing Jelani.
As for how he presents himself, he's basically just masc. He dresses masc, he presents as masc, behaves as masc--you get the idea.
"Okay but he paints his nails and uses eyeliner, mascara and eye shadow."
Okay, and? That shit is for any gender. He. Still. Presents. Himself. As. Masculine. He uses any pronoun but he himself says he's Sanaa's son, Loke's brother, Jelani's grandson, Angelus's husband and so on.
Yes, Angelus sometimes refers to him as his husband but also his spouse (gender neutral) or his wife (Jelani gave him permission to use this for him) as a way to be supportive. He also uses all pronouns for him too.
While we're on the subject of Angelus...he's had he/they for several years now but I recently changed it to he/him, it/its. HOWEVER! The it/its pronouns are only allowed to be used by other queer people.
Abigail also has permission to refer to him as Loke's sister or Ingvarr's daughter or Angelus's wife and so on.
Now, since the start I have had his sexual orientation as pansexual. For the past year and a half I've been kinda playing with it a little. Again, as I've developed him I've played with the idea that after long years he started to kinda question that too.
This feels like an rp session but lol I actually write a fuck ton of bits that I don't publish 'cause they're just little indulgent pieces with no real plot or point or no regard for construction, I just word vomit it into the document. That's where a lot of development comes from.
Anyway, I recently changed his orientation from pansexual to gay.
I always made it clear that even though he was pansexual he had a strong preference for men. In fact, he would often joke that he was more gay than actually pansexual. He has had relationships with women before but they were few and far in between. In fact, at one point he and Ginger were actually a couple. Of the few relationships with women he ever had that one was the longest he had and it only lasted half a year lol.
As the years went by his attraction to women and people who identify as women/female lessened and lessened to the point where he just wasn't interested at all and was only attracted to men and other masc non-binary people. Yes, this absolutely fucking includes trans men. His first romantic partner was a trans man (well, boy, they met when they were around 12 or something like that).
There's no such thing as trans exclusion within my non-evil characters. Ew. Come the fuck on.
I could've just retconned a bunch of stuff but I like doing it this way. It feels natural to how real people explore their identities. So this was just a whole long post just to say Jelani's gay now.

Fuck it that time I did pkgyro hours gets a read more post
so uhhh pkgyro huh
I'm a pretty basic person, you give me something and I'll probably like it. So yeah all those ideas are good. That love triangle thing, good. one sided on gyro's side, good. One sided on donald's side, good. One sided on PK's side specifically and not actually donald's side, good wait actually I'm not entirely sure how that last one works did someone talk about it before? I woke up 20 minutes ago I'm not sure I guess it's like, in the mask he's got the courage to flirt with him sorta deal? Like if he visits Gyro normally he feels that it's already pre-established to be as bros or as business, but as PK the boundaries aren't 100% set due to years of repetition(? is that the word?) Whatever the case you gotta have lil helper know everything though, like that's just solid. He's the ultimate shipper and screams at their uselessness.
I'm trying to think of anything good to say about carcans but all I got is: PK: bawling in the corner because he just said a really bad cock/chicken pick up line and it was SO MUCH WORSE coming out of his mouth than he imagined Gyro: do you want me to just ea- PK: vicious nodding I'm really bad at pickup lines so don't ask me to say any. My girlfriend usually throws things at me when I try On that note, the thought "Science heaven must be missing an angel cause here you are" just popped into my head so there's that. Gyro probably thought he was talking about helper or something I dunno. They're both idiots
Speaking of these two boys being absolute idiots, you know that no matter who asks the other out the other one isn't going to figure out it's a date cause they never use those specific key words Alternatively Gyro strikes me as the kind of guy to use the phrase "it's a date!" for any outdoor gathering so PK just doesn't register it's a /date/ date due to knowing him as Donald for so long Oh that could lead to some fun shenanigans where Gyro thinks they both know it's a date so they meetup at a park late at night or maybe on some rooftop and just sit together staring at the moon. Helper's playing some mood music off in the distance and it's a pleasant evening It's calming, soothing, irradiating peace, and it's late, PK just finished doing rounds after polishing coins in the money bin. He leans on to Gyro's shoulder and Gyro thinks it's a cute couples thing and they sit like that for a while and Gyro just starts talking to him a bit. but he stops short when PK just starts to snore. He's dead out of there, and Gyro didn't even get to any of the heartfelt stuff yet. He's understanding but he feels bad because- he just wanted so much more out of the night out. Maybe bad isn't the right word, empty? hollow? like when you know there's no real reason to be upset with the person, but you're a little betrayed with the way the world worked out and it hurts but no actual animosity towards anyone. Not to the extent of crying but it;s there gaping in your chest, eating at your spirit. anyway the next day comes and PK's all "fsfsfshgg I'm sorry I fell asleep while we were hanging out, it was just really nice and your voice was so soothing" and Gyro's just kinda taken aback by the voice comment but he says nothing and's just like so what'd ya want? and PK's just kinda like,,, to kinda hang out anyway I guess? are you busy right now cause I can go and come back later- and Gyro's got like mountains of work to do for free but he looks at it and helper just kinda gives him a thumbs up and waves his arms like "BE FREE GO DATE" So they go watch a movie but it's not really a date movie. Maybe a horror movie (I'd say an action flick but those are decently common as date movies) cause PK can't be caught at some romcom in the suit. And Gyro's just kinda "frrick it's as friends" while blood covers the screen
I'd imagine Gyro's kinda huffy when he gets home and helper's just hands him some things that need to be hammered so he can let off some steam and PK's SUUUUPER confused as to why Gyro was upset at the end of the movie cause he had bought all the snacks and tickets, but whatever Gyro's all "no it's okay it's fine nothing is wrong" while smashing a hot piece of metal with all his might and oh my god that came out so much worse than I wanted it to. I'm sure there's a joke that could be made equating PK to the metal but tbh I'm not entirely sure who tops aight we're apparently getting into nsfw content or something not sure where this is going to go in a second
Alright we're just going to jump ship on that area and find something new to latch on to give me a sec to reroute my brain
Look I know I used to ramble like this a lot more when I was in my transformers days, and I also wasn't able to pick up on innuendo at all I'm really starting to wonder if half the shit I said sounded like that and that's why everyone thought I wanted to fuck starscream We gotta get more pure and good stuff up in here wow okay so let's just start rolling with something random I dunno let's just drop Gyro and PK at an apple farm just get out of this, no robots on the apple farm it's old school. Sorry lil helper wasn't allowed to the apple farm
so that means no wingman, Gyro's gotta turn this apple farm thing into a date without his helper. And I'm not sure he can. I'm sorry what the hell are they doing on an apple farm? is it something else grandma owned? is there a bad guy here? they just getting apples for something I GOT IT a type of fertilizer Gyro made started turning some apple trees into treants so they gotta turn em back into regular trees. They gotta pick apples in order to see if it's a treant or not, so we got a lot of Gyro boostin PK up to reach the high ones that are too high for both of them cause no robots/machines means none of them claws to get high apples I think they both just keep picking apples and ummm you know I could easily go with some sort of admiring PK's ass dealio but I'm going to try to not. They're just picking apples and they're going to go make some jam with it later I guess since they have an entire bag full
I'm not sure who holds the apples, maybe PK cause Gyro's already picking him up at every tree and it wouldn't be fair to have him carry an entire bag of apples as well. So they're just picking apples and killing treants and honestly does anyone see anything wrong with this? isn't it the ideal and perfect date? it's such quality romantic time. Said nobody ever. What the hell was I thinking with this it makes no sense i even told helper to go sit in the car. they're not gonna do shit without someone pushing them. They're just going to do their fuckin job. I bet Gyro was all "I'll tell him today I'll tell him I love him" and helpers all "BZZT!!" and he's like "YEAH" then they show up at this godforsaken apple farm with walking fuckin trees and helper's told he has to wait in the car and PK's picking apples and damn that's a nice ass but FUCK I CAN'T SAY ANYTHING I'M A USELESS FUCKIN SCIENTIST WHO'S ONLY JOB RIGHT NOW IS TO PICK UP A DUCK And he's just dying inside and PK has NO idea cause he's like "aight thanks for being here bro I can't use my spring shoes to reach these cause of the rule so it's a huge help" so Gyro's just like FUCK I'M LITERALLY REPLACING HIS FUCKING SHOES So they get back to the car and helper's giving him those "how'd it go?" filaments and Gyro just looks at him back with those "I'm a pair of shoes" eyes and helper just kinda gives up trying to piece together whatever the fuck that means
[To a statement on the lack of helper] I'm sorry there was a strict no robot policy, he's sitting in the car with the AC on listening to his favorite music while coloring
yes I know 313 has no roof and helper is a robot, apparently PK doesn't care about climate change
Aight I guess that's it right? PKGyro hours are one hour long yeah? Questions? Comments? Concerns? If you would like to tell Tabithor Avius that her temporary hosting was fantastic or a piece of shit, leave your thoughts below

So I platinumed Persona 4 Golden... Again.
Back in February of 2021 I was in a little bit of a gaming slump and wanted something comforting to play and maybe complete. I had recently gotten a PSTV so I figured why not Persona 4 Golden? It's one of my favorite games ever and I figured that if I'm going to platinum several other games twice each, then this one deserves at least a once over. Boy did I regret that decision. P4G is an amazing game. The story is great, the characters are amazing in every sense of the word and I'd literally nuke a small country if their leader said something negative about Nanako. All in all the trophies needed to get to the platinum aren't bad and there's only 4 that I'd call tedious. There's one that makes this whole process absolute ass, but I'll get to that. There's the standard stuff that a trophy hunter would be familiar with at this point; finish the story, beat secret bosses, etc. However because the persona games from 3 onward mostly function on a calendar system that means there's A LOT of stuff to pad out gameplay and there's literally no way to platinum a persona game without doing 2 playthroughs minimum. "Oh but Xorles, there are people that can do max social stats and social links in one run, plus all of the extra stuff, I'm sure it can be done in one!" Nope. Every single one of these games has at least one trophy that requires you be in New Game+. For P4G it's got 2. You've gotta be in NG+ not only to fuse Izanagi-No-Okami, but you have to be in it to fight Margaret. Neither of these are really that difficult, P4 is actually incredibly easy on normal mode and a joke on lower difficulties, it just sucks getting to this point. In any case I was able to get the platinum in 3 runs when I did it a couple of years ago. I didn't optimize at all and I basically did almost everything in the first run except read all of the books, the next run I did all of the social links and the compendium, and then the last run was just reading books when I had to and doing the "Hardcore Risette Fan" trophy. Oh my god, whoever decided that trophy needed to exist should be ritualistically sacrificed to the elder gods of Lovecraftian lore. Holy. Fuck. It doesn't look daunting just from the trophy description but doing it was one of the biggest pains in the ass I've ever dealt with. The trophy reads "Hear 250 of Rise's navigation lines" Persona games always have a lot of talking in and out of battle so you'd think that maybe you just have to do a little grinding but nope. Turns out there's MAYBE 30 unique lines for bosses that she says. Everything else is just standard combat lines that you have to keep track of and I hated every second. It was so bad that I needed a literal google docs checklist just to kind of keep track. That said I got to the grind and made a mistake by doing the party social links before doing this trophy which made everything infinitely worse. It's weird because it's like playing the game efficiently actually hurt my chances of doing this trophy easily. Whatever, it was a grind, I finally got it, and I popped off harder than a smash player when they find out that they don't need to shower before their tournament starts. All's well that ends well. I get my platinum, post to Reddit and get the dopamine rush I ever so desired for all of like a day.
Fast forward to 2023 and SURPISE! Atlas F I N A L L Y decided that we should be able to play two of their most popular games on modern consoles! I had a $10 coupon and P4G went on sale so I decided to go ahead and scoop it up for $5. I was thrilled. THEN I got broken up with from probably my most serious relationship ever and I was destroyed emotionally. So naturally I went to one of my comfort games and started playing persona 4 again. It wasn't often but the game did do a very good job at making me smile when I definitely didn't want to. I was talking to a friend and then one of my darkest moments came to pass. He uttered the phrase that sets my soul ablaze and tickles my asshole in a frankly horrifyingly effective way. He said, "I bet you can't platinum it again. Bitch." That was it. Over the course of 110 hours I went through every trophy all over again. I spent the first playthrough doing E V E R Y T H I N G. I read all the books, I fused literally every persona I was able to before NG+, maxed all the social stats, got the hardcore Risette trophy again, grinded out over 2 million yen for the next run through, read all the books. NG+ came around and all I had to do was all the social links, fuse the max link personas at the end as well as Izanagi, slap Margaret around a little bit and then revel in the glory of getting played like a cheap kazoo. Only the I didn't feel as accomplished as I did the last time I got the platinum. It's not because I fell for the obvious trick that my friend used on me in an attempt to get my mind off of my break up, it wasn't because I didn't enjoy my time with the game again, hell it wasn't even because of the Risette trophy. I honestly think that it's just because speeding through the game is a bad way to play it. The last time I did this I had somewhere around 200 hours for the save file that I used and I almost cut it in half this run. Tbh I probably did cut it in half technically, but I have this bad habit of leaving games idle while I do dishes or something so the times tend to get inflated a little bit. I know that the phrase is more associated with 5 but it works just as well here too. Take your time with persona games. The fun comes from spending your time with the game and it's characters. The comparative mundanity of the social links vs the story in P4 is probably it's biggest charm, so doing what I did and fast forwarding through everything makes it so much less fun.
Persona 4 Golden is a personal 10/10 game for me and it's platinum is an 8/10. Literally the worst thing is that Hardcore Risette trophy and if you can do that then all you have to do really is just enjoy the fun game you bought. If you like trophy hunting then give it a try, and if you don't then just do yourself a solid and jump into the town or Inaba for a few dozen hours and enjoy the ride. Am I going to do this again? Fuck no, if I have to hear Rise say "It's weak to ice! Cool!" one more time then I can't be held responsible for what I do next. This whole thing started out as me wanting to vent about how annoying the game can be to platinum, but I think that over the course of typing it out I've accidentally reinforced how much I love this game. That said the next time I pick this game up I'm definitely reading every line of dialog. No matter how tedious.
Thanks for sticking through to the end of this. I want to get into reviewing games and potentially getting into games journalism. I figured talking about a game I love and a gaming process that I routinely go through and enjoy would be a good start? If you have any recommendations on how I can go about this a little better I'd love to read them. I've got 50 other games that I've platinumed and too much free time on my hands so maybe I'll do this again soon. Be good and go play some games. <3

Hey guys- tumblr is a broken website and deleted this nice long thing I was writing you guys! Of course, of course.
But. I read everyoneâs comments on my last post about discontinuing GV, and... I appreciate the support so very much ;0;
Iâm always excessively hard on myself about this sort of thing, and it broke my heart too that I just. Canât seem to get back into the story I loved so much. So, thank you for all your kind words. I read everything with tears in my eyes, I wonât lie.
And I AM doing much better then yesterday, a few of my friends were alarmed and contacted me, and. I didnât mean to alarm anyone. ): I have a tendency to not realize how horrible Iâm feeling for a long time, until I do some weird cryptic post, or message to someone, and just sorta crash. Itâs not the best coping mechanism or anything, but I gotta be honest I got no clue how to curb it, since I never realize how bad Iâm doing until I need a day to be real miserable and cry. So, oops! Sorry about that.
A related note, but. Part of what lead to that, is after Iâve moved back to New Mexico and have been working on my home, well. Some sad stuff under the cut, if youâre up for reading that.
My mom had a stroke a few weeks ago.
Sheâs doing better overall, but it was a massive shock to the whole family, especially right before Christmas, which is definitely her favorite holiday. It was heartbreaking to see her stuck in a hospital during that time, and just. See her struggling so much.
I only live 10 minutes away from her rehabilitation, while the rest of the family live almost 40, so Iâve been visiting her the most. Iâve been learning how to help her walk, sit, stand, ect, and Iâm leaving in about a half an hour to do another learning session with her. Iâve been trying to be the fun, sunshiny one to help make her happy and laugh, and luckily itâs been working, and Iâve seen her spirits go up! But, itâs hard on me sometimes. Christmas was insanely hard and I ended up in tears, my whole family is struggling and itâs just. Been a real hard couple weeks. ): I am so happy I moved here before this happened though, that way I can be there for her.
And I know Iâm not alone with the Covid situation, but 2020 was so hard, and so many hardships have happened since then, things that have completely upturned my whole life. I know Iâm not alone in that, and I still have so many things to be grateful for, but. It hasnât been easy. Itâs a big part of why I just, canât write a story right now. Besides, if I did, the writing would be terrible.
I am eternally grateful for the job I have, that Iâm able to visit my mom as she needs, even if running a business solo is a LOT of work. But Iâm able to shift things around and see her. Iâve also been delivering her food, since the food they give her isnât.... well, all that great, and sheâs barely hungry right now.
I will say, despite all that, Iâm surrounded by incredible friends and family to help me during all of this. Despite feeling like crud, Iâm really very happy for everyone and everything I have right now. So, thank you again. ;_;
And, I know I havenât been active on here like at ALL, but the truth is Iâve been working on something, that mostly keeps all the visuals and everything hush hush. I also donât want to post anything publicly about it, and then maybe be unable to finish it, so Iâm mostly doing this project for me.
A while back I posted some visuals that indicated I was making a video game, and well. I still am! Everything has switched to pixel art, and Iâve reworked the game physics. I have the story set in stone, and Iâm really genuinely excited to work on it. But unlike comics, you canât just. Post a page up and do it slowly, you sorta got to complete the whole thing before putting it out.
Iâve learned how to program a ton of stuff, I just finished learning very basic save points and Iâm working on the visuals for a menu, and Iâm trying to get all the more frustrating things out of the way so I can focus on the story, and the level design.
This is SUPER SUPER early in development, but. I wanted to give you guys something as a thank you. The playable characterâs name is Willow, and the other child is Nina!
So, thanks again for reading if you did, I appreciate it. I hope everyone is doing ok, and if youâre not doing ok, thatâs ok too. Love you guys <3

________
Two Weeks Later
âHoney bun,â sang Jensen as he stepped into your home office youâd set up in the small reading room in the house. âMust you work today?â
âI do occasionally have to work on that drawing thing,â you said. He pouted and laid out on the daybed, picking up a copy of the third book. âGive me another hour to finish with these pages.â
âCan I hang out and watch you draw?â he asked.
âKnock your socks off,â you said. You picked up your stylus again and went back to your pad, Jensen sitting up and watching from the other side of the room. âYou can sit closer if you want.â
He got up and pulled over a chair, crossing his legs in it.
âI basically draw using my stylus and this pad and it shows up on my laptop screen,â you said.
âWe could get you a better screen, like your own separate work computer. I know your stories are picking up a lot of steam.â
âIâm okay for now. All I need to do is finish illustrating this book and my five book deal is done and ready for print,â you said.
âCan I make a request?â
âI would love to put in a giraffe for Zepp but the story takes place in the woods,â you said.
âBaby giraffe? Maybe just in the background?â he asked.
You backed out of your current page and went to the last two where the foxes and wolves were playing with their friends. You tapped on a tree and erased it, sketching out a loose shape.
âLook up a giraffe for me?â you asked. He tapped away on his phone and pulled up a picture. âThanks.â
You drew a picture of a rough giraffe, softening it some before adding colors.
âYouâre really good at that,â he said.
âThe characters are easy. Backgrounds can get boring,â you said. You went back to your original set of pages and worked quietly, Jensen watching carefully. âYes?â
âJust wanna spend time with you is all,â he said, resting his head on your shoulder.
âOkay, baby,â you said. You worked for another hour, Jensen asking the occasional question but mostly staying silent and close by. After you sent off the pages for review you turned to him, Jensen offering a soft smile in return. âAll set with work for the day.â
âAwesome,â he said.
âWhereâs the munchkins?â
âA movie,â he said. You ran your fingers through his hair and he leaned into it. âTell me a secret.â
âA secret? I donât think I have too many of those left from you,â you said. He opened his eyes and looked at you through his lashes. âWhat?â
âYou said you got this on vacation,â he said, holding up his wrist, the bracelet youâd put on him two weeks ago still there. âWhen we were down there, I was talking to Ray and he kinda implied it wasnât just a souvenir.â
âI was upset that day when he bought it for me. It meant I was safe was all,â you said.
âHow long after did your momâŚâ
âA few months. She went on bed rest after that trip.â
âY/N, I know when youâre holding back, honey. I would never judge or tell anyone anything. You know that.â
âYou got hurt because you lost someone and you got hurt and it sucks right? But itâs kinda like something happened and then you heal from it right?â
âYeahâŚâ he said. âWhat donât I know?â
âYou know how anxious you were to get in the car and drive down to the beach?â you asked as he nodded. âYouâve never been afraid of a person, Jensen. Itâs like that feeling...but everyday and youâre expected to live your life normally when you constantly have that over your head.â
He was quiet, glancing past you as the room grew darker from some passing clouds outside.
âCanada wasnât the first time you saw your father since you were adopted, was it,â he said.
âYou wouldnât believe what a good lawyer and shitty laws will do for a piece of shit like that,â you said.
âYou were a kid.â
âWith zero physical evidence. Everything was circumstantial. So he got out and he came to apologize or some bullshit and Ray decked him.â
âThe more I learn about Ray, the more I like him.â
âMy mom kicked him in the nuts.â
âI really like that woman,â he said. You smiled and he moved his chair closer, pulling you into his lap. âI donât mean to make you talk about your dad. I was curious was all.â
He went to take off the bracelet when you put a hand over it.
âI donât want to remind you of something bad, sweetheart.â
âLike I said, I was upset. Very upset and in public and I went down to the beach to try to hide away. Ray bought that for me and told me I was safe when he put it on me. All it means to me is that youâre safe.â
âWhat about you? What do you have?â he asked quietly. You cocked your head and moved your hand to rest over his chest. âAlright, sort of a dumb question.â
âNot dumb,â you said, trailing your fingers down his chest.
âGuess youâll just have to stay as close as humanly possible.â
âI donât have a problem with that,â you said.
âDo you have a restraining order against your father?â
âNo but thatâs only because Ray managed to get him kicked out of the country. He found some loophole law. He was born in the Yukon so technically heâs not American and he got him kicked back.â
âScratch that. Ray is my new favorite person,â he said. âIf only we could send him someplace weâll never visit like...a deserted island. Or Hell.â
âI appreciate the thought but Iâm not scared of him anymore,â you said. âI am however afraid our plans of lunch at the brewery are going to get rained out.â
âWe can enjoy ourselves right here. Iâve never heard a complaint yet about my grilling.â
âYou know what? I got the perfect idea.â
âOkay,â said Jensen, sliding the foil packet off the grill and onto JJâs plate. Youâd decided to have lunch on the grill, sitting out under the covered back patio off the playroom. It was pouring rain but you were plenty dry there. âChicken, marinara sauce and cheese. Then we got chicken, ketchup and baby carrots for Arrow. Zeppy wanted to try barbecue sauce and onion which sounded good to me and then Y/N went for the salmon and lemon.â
You helped the twins open up their foil packets and get their food on their plates, dicing up the chicken for them before going to your own plate.
âDaddy,â said Zeppelin while he chewed on a big piece of chicken. Jensen hummed and worked on his own food. âCan we play race cars after lunch?â
âSure,â he said, JJ shaking her head.
âI donât wanna play cars,â she said. Zeppelin stared at her and his bottom lip wobbled. âYouâre a cry baby.â
âJJ, thatâs rude,â you said, Jensen glancing at you and nodding. âApologize to your brother.â
âSorry,â she mumbled.Â
âWeâre gonna play cars after lunch and youâre welcome to join,â said Jensen. âYour brother goes along with what you girls want to play quite a bit so I think you can do the same for him.â
âI still donât wanna play cars,â she mumbled.
âYou play cars with the Padalecki boys all the time,â you said.
âNot little kid cars,â she said. âHe doesnât know how to play right.â
You saw Zeppelin getting upset again and sighed.
âThereâs no wrong way to play,â you said. âZeppâs littler than you. You gotta be the big sister and do what he wants sometimes.â
âMom would have played dress up,â she grumbled. âNot stupid cars.â
âEnough,â said Jensen. âYouâre old enough to know better.â
âI didnât do anything wrong.â
âYour brother wants to play cars. We played horses all morning long and you barely let him have a turn at that so like I said, weâre gonna play what he wants and you are welcome to join us but if you donât want to, you can play something else,â he said.Â
âBaby,â she said under her breath. Jensen didnât catch it but you did.
âJJ youâre in timeout after lunch. Ten minutes,â you said.Â
âI didnât-â
âYou just called him a baby. You want to make it fifteen?â you asked.
âYouâre not my mom! You canât give me timeouts,â she said.
âHalf an hour now,â said Jensen. She stared at him and he shook his head. âEat your lunch.â
Zeppelin spent half of it crying quietly and JJ barely touched hers before she was following Jensen inside. You threw your head back and sighed before you went inside to get some tissues. When you came back out Arrow was hugging him tightly.
âLetâs clean you up, buddy,â you said as you squatted down beside them. She let go of him and you wiped off his face and helped him blow his nose. âFeel better?â
âWe can play dress up,â he said. You picked him up and hoisted him on your hip.Â
âWeâre gonna play cars. Arrow, do you want to play with us?â you asked. She smiled and nodded. âHey how about you go wash your hands and then you can bring out the bucket of cars and weâll play out here. Howâs that sound Zepp?â
âOkay,â he said. Arrow went inside and you carried him around as you collected the trash and threw it in the bag you brought out. You tied it up and left it in the corner to put in the bin later before you you walked to the edge of the covered patio, rain coming down at a decent rate. âY/N youâre my mom right?â
âIâm one of your moms,â you said. âIâm gonna adopt you that way everybody can know I am though.â
âCool,â he said softly, resting his head on your shoulder. âMom can we play in the rain?â
âHear any thunder?â you asked. He shook his head. âSee any lightning?â
âNuh uh,â he said.
âThen we can play in the rain all you want,â you said. You walked out to the grass and spun around with him, getting a giggle out of him. âDid you hear that?â
âHear what?â he asked. You spun around again and he laughed.
âThere it is again!â you said. He giggled and you spun around a few times until you were dizzy and took a seat. He hugged you and kissed your cheek as you noticed Jensen leaning against the post of the patio. He was smiling and you hopped up with Zeppelin, waving him around in the air until you were back under cover. You set him down and he ran over to Arrow, picking out his favorite cars from the bucket and handing her some.Â
âWell that might have been one of the cutest things Iâve ever seen,â he said.Â
âYou took a picture, didnât you.â
âOh several,â he said. He glanced back at the twins and then at you. âIt clicked for you just now didnât it.â
âBeing a mom? Yeah.â
âYou didnât look to me on how to discipline JJ and you made him feel better and you made him laugh. You went full mom there and Iâve kinda been waiting for that.â
âI know itâs just playing theyâre arguing over but I just hate...there is so much of you in him,â you said.
âI know and that feeling will never go away but it means you love âem and loving them is my only requirement for us working so this was actually a really good thing.â
âThose two are so sweet,â you said.
âItâs the twin thing. Oh what fun we have to look forward to when they are teenagers and they lie to us for one another,â he chuckled.
âYeah but Iâll take it. Did you really give her a half hour timeout?â
âFifteen minutes. She needs to share more and he doesnât like confrontation so he goes along with what she wants but itâs not her road or the highway.â
âSheâs been a littleâŚâ
âI know. Since we told them about the engagement,â he said. âWe gotta talk to her on her own.â
âLet me take a crack at her first?â you asked.
âYou got a hunch?â
âI donât think having a mom again is a problem. I think the idea of losing a mom again is.â
âThat makes sense considering she was attached to your hip before all this.â
âIâm gonna go see if I can get to the bottom of this. Now go play cars,â you said. He kissed your cheek and you headed inside, drying off some with a towel in the laundry room before you went up to JJâs bedroom. You knocked and cracked open the door, catching her splayed out on her bed. âJJ. Can we talk?â
She rolled and put her back to you. You sat down on the edge of her bed and took a deep breath.
âYou know your brother did what you wanted all day. You have to share,â you said. She didnât say anything and you lay back on the bed, turning your head. She rolled back the other way and you sat up. She rolled again and you tilted your head back. âJJ do you want me to be your mom?â
âNo,â she mumbled.Â
âAre you lying?â She didnât move and you sat back, her face scrunched up. âAre you scared if Iâm your mom something bad will happen to me?â
âI donât want two dead moms,â she said.Â
âI have two dead moms,â you said. She blinked her eyes open and sat up. âMy first mom, I never met her. She died giving birth to me.â
âYou only had a dad when you were born?â she asked. You nodded and pulled her into your lap. âDid he get married again?â
âNo. My dad was very mad my mom died. He took that out on me. He was a bad guy. He went to jail and I got adopted by my mom when I was your age. Ray was her boyfriend. He acted like he was my dad in a lot of ways. I was sixteen when my mom died. I understand it hurts, sweetie, and that itâs scary and you donât ever want to feel like that again.â
âI thought if I was bad you and daddy wouldnât...and then I donât have to feel bad again.â
âI am so sorry honey but you canât stop that feeling from never coming back. The only way you could not get it would be to not love anyone or anything and thatâs not a life at all. Itâs the price you pay for loving someone. Your mom was an accident. But Daddy is young and Iâm even younger and I promise you will not have to feel that way about me for a very, very long time.â
âHow long?â
âHow about fifty years?â
âFifty years? Thatâs forever,â she said.Â
âIâll give you fifty years if I can be your mom and you stop picking on Zepp. Deal?â
âOkay. Iâm sorry I made him cry.â
âIâm not the one that needs an apology,â you said. âNow do you want stay in here all by yourself or do you want to come play with us?â
âI can play?â she asked.
âAbsolutely,â you said. You got up and carried her down on your back, setting her down to let her run off out to the porch. Jensen got up from his seat and held up a finger, ducking back inside to where you were.
âThatâs what I like to see,â he said as she gave Zeppelin a hug and he handed her a car.
âI did have to promise not to die for fifty years.â
âFifty? You got off easy. I had to promise a hundred after the accident,â he chuckled. âI should have noticed she was scared.â
âI have more experience being a scared little girl than you do. I got experience with letting people get close again too,â you said.
âHowâs that working out for ya?â he smirked.
âHeâs lucky heâs hot,â you said. He threw his arm over your shoulders and grinned. âDo you want to get married in the fall?â
âThis fall?â he asked.
âCan we pull it off that fast?â you asked.
âYeah. We donât have to book a venue which is the hardest part. I donât see why not. Whatâs the rush?â he asked.
âItâs easier to adopt them if weâre married,â you said. âI donât really want to wait longer than we have to if thatâs alright.â
âIâd say letâs go drive down to city hall and get a justice of the peace right now if I knew my mother wouldnât kill me for it. How about I call up the lawyer and ask him to start prepping the paperwork as if we already were so itâs all set to go,â he said.
âYou have a lawyer?â you asked. âTheyâd do that?â
âY/N, honey. My taxes alone frighten me not to mention I own a business with employees and what qualifies as a business write off still confuses me and wait you donât have a lawyer for your book deal?â
âShould I have one?âÂ
âGreg is your lawyer now,â he said. âHeâs good. Heâll do all the paperwork for us.â
âOh good cause all the forms online were confusing the hell out of me,â you said. He shook his head and pulled you in close.Â
âSilly goose,â he said, a loud boom of thunder shaking the house. âLetâs get the crew inside before it pours.â
âWho wants to build a fort?â you asked that afternoon. JJ jumped up and down on the couch and Jensen walked in with an arm full of blankets and sheets. Three little hands shot up and Jensen lazily tossed the blankets on the couch, covering the three of them.
âHm, whereâd those three munchkins run off toâŚâ he said, Arrow ducking her head out first, hair all in her face. Jensen giggled and she rolled her eyes, the other two climbing out. âAlright. Iâm gonna grab clothes pins and a few more things. You guys start designing.â
You stood back and let JJ organize, figuring out her first choice of blanket for a roof was too small. Jensen returned with a bag of clips, some twine and the step ladder, wrapping his arms around your waist and resting his head on your shoulder.
âHow they doing?â he whispered.
âPicking out the roof,â you said, Arrow rushing over and grabbing his hand as Zeppelin climbed on JJâs back and held up a sheet over the two of them with one hand. You smirked and she let out another eye roll.
âDaddy, can you pick up Zeppy so then he can put the blankie up? I told them theyâre too small,â she said.
âSure,â he said. âTell me where you want it to go.â
Twenty minutes later the family room was covered with sheets, tied off to the stairs, chairs, the ceiling fan after Jensen broke out the larger ladder to get up there and assured you it wouldnât bring the whole thing crashing down.Â
âCan we sleep in here tonight?â asked JJ.Â
âI donât see why not,â you said. âThereâs plenty of room on the couch. Weâll bring down your comforters when itâs bedtime,â you said.
âCan we watch Cars?â asked Zeppelin, glancing at JJ.Â
âOkay,â she said. She gave him a hug and picked him up, Jensen smiling to himself as he looked on.
âCan we get pizza for dinner like a real sleepover?â asked Arrow.Â
âWe did cook up all the chicken at lunch,â you said, giving Jensen a side eye.
âYeah weâll get one,â he said. âWhy donât you turn on your movie okay? Weâll be right there.â
You let Jensen pull you into the kitchen, smirking as he picked you up and sat you on the counter.
âSeems like todayâs crisis has been averted,â you said.
âIâm sure theyâll go back to tormenting each other tomorrow but Iâll take it,â he said, reaching into the drawer next to you, pulling out a menu. âSo. You interested in pizza?â
âOh that looks interesting,â you said, taking the pamphlet out of his hand and tapping at a special. âOne cheese, one speciality, boneless wings and garlic bread? My little carb loving heart is in love.â
âSheâs not the only one,â he said, leaning up on his tip toes and kissing you.Â
âAre you coming?â groaned JJ from in the fort. You shook your head and Jensen kissed your neck, even nibbling before he pulled back. You smacked his chest and he set the menu down, giving you a wink.
âWeâre coming in right now. Donât wait for us kiddo.â
You woke up sweating, Jensen shushing you, arms wrapped around you. You took a deep breath and caught the clock said it was almost three. You turned in his arms and buried your head in his chest, his hand rubbing up and down your back.
âYouâre okay. Bad dream is all,â he said softly. You nodded and started to relax, flinching when there was more thunder. âHey, itâs okay. Nothingâs gonna get ya.â
The thunder shook the house and you tensed up. Jensen pulled the covers over both your heads and you crammed in as close as humanly possible when more thunder hit.
âHoney look at me. Please look at me.â You lifted your head and saw a horrible face in front of you, a scream ripping out of your throat.
âY/N,â you heard as you woke up absolutely drenched, Jensenâs hands on your face. âHoney, talk to me. Can you hear me?â
âNight terror,â you said quietly.Â
âYeah, JJ used to have them. I didnât know adults could get them,â he said.Â
âCan I have a cold washcloth? And some water?â you asked. He got out of bed and padded into the bathroom in his boxers, settling back into bed and handing you the water. You drank it down while he wiped off your face and neck, running it over your head. âThanks.â
âYou okay?â he asked.Â
âMostly feel embarrassed.â He frowned and you put the glass on your nightstand, staring down at your sweaty shirt.Â
âShould I call Ray?â
âIt was a stupid nightmare. Iâm fine,â you said.
âYou were sat up eyes wide open and talking and shouting and I couldnât wake you up,â he said. âI know adults really shouldnât be getting night terrors so maybe something triggered you or something during the day.â
âI know my triggers and I know when itâs just a stupid nightmare. Back off,â you said. You got out from under the hot covers and went outside to the balcony, the air nice and cool from the storm earlier. The slide of the door was loud in the the quiet and you rubbed your arm. âIâm sorry.â
âIâve seen you have nightmares. That was a lot worse,â he said.
âI thought I saw someone watching the house earlier.â
âWhat?â
âIt was the neighborâs kid, the teenager. It was his friend and he came over late but I thought...it freaked me out. That on top of thinking about the fact my father is not rotting in a jail cell most likely sent me over the edge,â you said. He walked in front of you, resting his hands on your arms. âIâm okay. Needed some air was all.â
âAlright. Tell me if something like that happens again?â he asked. You hummed and he gave you a kiss. âOkay, sweetheart. Letâs head on back to bed.â
âWhat do you mean?â you growled into the phone the next evening. Jensen lifted his head from his book in the family room and you walked away, stepping out to the private patio area on the side of the house. âThatâs not possible.â
âItâs been fifteen years. He has every legal right to be in the country.â
âIn the country! He got an apartment seven minutes from where I live!â you said. âI have little kids here, Finn. Tell me thereâs something I can do.â
âI can get a restraining order-â
âThat doesnât mean shit to him. I need him fucking deported. I need him gone.â
âY/N, you know me. I have never agreed to it but he paid his debt as it was assigned and he quietly followed the law. He did what he was supposed to and Iâm sorry but until he does something, I canât do anything besides help you and your fianceâs family get a restraining order.â
âSo until he does something horrible again, I canât do anything about it.â
âY/N.â
âNo Finn. I appreciate the heads up but...I have to go.â
You hung up and squeezed your phone tight. He knew where you lived. He was minutes away and there was absolutely zero help until something went wrong. You sat on a bench and bounced your leg. Nothing could go wrong. You couldnât let anything go wrong. Who knew what the son of a bitch would do to any one of them.
You stopped bouncing your leg just as you heard the door open. You lifted your head and stood, spinning around to Jensen standing there.
âEverything alright?â
âActually no.â
âWho was on the phone?â
âMy ex,â you said, swallowing. You crossed your arms and thought of the things Jensen had told you about acting and getting in character and all that. You were gonna destroy him. Fuck you were going to end up shattering him into a thousand pieces heâd never put back together.Â
You couldnât really lie just to keep them away from him, could you?Â
You saw Arrow run past in the house and made your face hard. Broken heart but safe kids was worth it.
âI thought you didnât talk to him anymore,â said Jensen. You turned up your chin and he smiled. âYou are the worst actress in the world. Who was it really?â
âI think weâre moving too fast and I want to take a break and I would appreciate it if you gave me my space to figure this out on my own.â
âUh, what?â he said. You brushed past him and he followed you in, all the way up to your bedroom. You got out a bag and he flipped it shut. âWhat the hell is going on? Who was on the phone?â
âMy boyfriend,â you said. He stared at you and you sighed. âYouâre a great guy but Iâm sorry. I canât do the house and kids thing. I want to go see the world and not be tied down and youâre just...youâre too damn old for me.â
âI donât believe you.â
âMaybe you should have trusted your first instincts when you saw me and Doug,â you said. He stared at you while you shoved some clothes in a bag. You slung it over your shoulder and he caught the backside of it. You took off your ring and put it on the table by the door, Jensen dropping his hand. âI just canât do this anymore. It wasnât you. Iâm sorry. I really need to go.â

Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Letâs spread the self-love đ
Oh man. I am so beyond flattered that youâd tag me in this. Seriously, Iâm really touched.
Because I donât have five published fics, Iâll just force what I already have on everyone and include a couple of recent excerpts from my WIPs that Iâm really loving.
1. magpie I still love this little ficlet so much, it was the first thing Iâd published in probably five years give or take that I didnât delete later so it has a very special place in my heart.
2. glass houses I continue to go back and edit this all the time so if youâve ever noticed any changes during a re-read no you didnât.
Iâve put the rest under the cut because itâs basically all smut from here on out.
3. milk and honey. Okay, WIP excerpt number one. This smutty bit of dialogue was the first thing (literally) that I ever wrote for the fandom and I still love it. Someday I will finish this, but sex is so hard.
âYou donât gotta be sweet,â Charlie says, his voice suddenly clear and sober, like heâs negotiating a deal, and in a way, he is. âTake me how you want.â
Meyer tucks his face against the back of Charlieâs neck. âAnd what makes you think Iâm not?â His lips graze the shell of Charlieâs ear as he twists his fingers into him with a filthy squelch. It has the desired effect.
âFuckinâ tease.â Charlie grinds out through a choked-off gasp.
Meyer works his fingers deeper, dragging them over that spot again and Charlie moans, harsh, like itâs been ripped out of his lungs.
âJesus,â He hisses through clenched teeth, his body pulsing around Meyerâs knuckles. âPi fauri! Sono prontu, fuck!â
Meyer hums against Charlieâs shoulder and crooks his fingers up and forward a few more times. Charlie sobs as he bears down on them.
âYes. I think maybe you are.â
4. I donât have a working title for this but @portiaadams had requested like, a year ago that I write glass houses from Chalrlieâs POV. Iâm really pleased with it but again. Sex has proven to be a stumbling block.
This is different, too. Charlieâs used to guys giving it to him rough with nothing but spit in their hands to ease the way. He doesnât mind that so much, he even likes it sometimes, but Meyer is always thorough with it. Heâs come on just Meyerâs fingers more than once. (God, look at you he murmurs after, when Charlie is still prone and trembling). He relishes in Charlieâs pleasure almost as much, if not more than his own. Charlie knew the feeling. Itâs the same every time he drops to his knees, saliva flooding his mouth as he pushes his tongue up against the heavy slide of Meyerâs cock.
5. the sky in a room. Sad Old Menâ˘ď¸. My magnum opus. The bane of my existence. I wish I could post it so you could all stop hearing about it but today is not that day. Iâve actually just had to work through a fairly significant plot hole, so I think we might be getting there! Anyway, hereâs something new.
Meyer could smell her on him, delicate and poisonousâlily of the valley. The geisha. What a revolting thing to refer to oneself as.

âIâm just saying Y/N, being a theater major sucks. Itâs so much work! And believe it or not but there are days that I just donât feel like singing. But no. Seokmin canât pick up my slack for one damn day of class.âÂ
You sighed. âWhy didnât you just skip class today then?â
âYou want me, the teacherâs pet, best singer in that class, to skip,â He stops walking and puts his hand on your forehead. âI think youâre getting sick. Itâs time for you to just go back home, order your yucky pizza, and go to bed for the next week.â
âTrust me, if I could afford to do that, I would.âÂ
The boy laughed, and put his arm over your shoulder. âI gotta go meet with my group for my songwriting class in the production studios. Iâll talk to you later?â
As you nod, you turn towards him, âPlease try not to injure Jihoon too much. Itâs not that he doesnât like youâIâm sure he doesâhe just treats everyone like that.âÂ
âIâll try, I guess.â Your best friend hugs you goodbye, and heads off to the music building, as you leave campus to go towards your apartment. Â
By the time you get to your apartment, your roommates are gone, and looking around shocks you. How did we let this place get so messy? Itâs not even finals week yet.Â
You went to place your bag down in your room, then started picking up the small home. The amount of pizza boxes that are sitting on top of textbooks is crazy, especially for an apartment shared by three people.Â
By the time you were done with your cleaning spree, your roommates were back and already shutting themselves in their rooms for the night. You took the advantage of the empty living room and piled your homework around you. I might as well do something with my time, you thought.Â
You looked at the clock. It was almost one in the morning. A perfect time for a late night pizza delivery.Â
You grabbed your phone and ordered your favorite pizza, and sat back, deciding to take a quick power nap before the pizza arrived.

When the doorbell rang, you jumped off the couch. The ringing had awoken you, but you didnât mind since that meant your precious food was here.Â
As the door opened, you saw a familiar face. One that was framed by curly brown hair: his eyes bright, and his smile growing.
âHansol?â you looked at the boy in the bright red shirt and black jeans, his matching red hat backwards on his head so you are unable to see the logo on it.Â
âOh! Y/N? I thought you left here a long time ago. I wasnât expecting you to be back here so soon.â
You should probably explain this situation. You and Hansol went to high school together, but after graduation, Hansol decided to stay here, and you left to travel while being enrolled in college. After a while, traveling every other week became too much, and your lack of money was beginning to make decisions for you. So, you moved back to your hometown and continued going to your classes, but decided to go in person, which is where you met Seungkwan in your literature class. Now Hansol is apparently delivering your Hawaiian pizza to you at one in the morning on a Saturday.Â
âUh yeah, I moved back here about a month ago. How long have you been uh,â you looked at the box that was still in his hands. âDelivering pizzas for?âÂ
âAbout a month or two after we graduated, actually. Though I can confidently say that pizza just isnât as good as it used to be for me.âÂ
You laughed. âWell, thank you. Would you like to come in?â You gestured to the direction of the kitchen. Hansol puts his leg up and balances the box of pizza (that smells delicious, by the way) on his hand and his knee in order to pull his phone out of his pocket.Â
âUh, sure. I have a couple of minutes before I have to be at the pizzeria again.â You smiled, and took the box from him. He follows you into your apartment and to the kitchen, where you place the box on the counter before going towards the cupboard and taking out two plates.Â
âPizza?â you offered, opening the box.Â
He uses his pointer finger to open the box slightly before muttering âDisgusting.âÂ
âHey! Donât hate on my pizza! Do you want some or not?â
âNo way! Pineapple does not belong on pizza.âÂ
You snorted. âDidnât you know it was Hawaiian pizza? You delivered it.â
âJust because I deliver it doesnât mean I open the box, thatâs not what they pay me for!âÂ
âYeah, okay.â You took a slice of the pizza and bit into it, while Hansol kept his signature disgusted look on his face.

After seeing Hansol (with your pizza) suddenly last week, you began noticing how often you actually passed by him on campus. You learned that he decided to go to college and pursue a career in music, but while getting an education, he thought it would be smart to get a job. You definitely couldnât blame him, as lack of finances was the exact reason you're back in this town.Â
âDid you know that Hansol is still here?â you asked your other childhood friend, Chan.Â
âYeah, actually. I see him a lot in the music building.â
âIt makes sense that heâs there,â You looked at him and raised an eyebrow. âI mean, he is a music major after all. The real question is why you are in the music building enough to see him that often, especially as a dance major.â
âSoonyoung, the leader of my dance team, goes to visit his roommate a lot during class and he brings me, Junhui and Minghao with him all the time. Jihoon is a producer. He actually works with both Seungkwan and Hansol a lot.âÂ
âWaitâdoes that mean that Seungkwan and Hansol know each other?â
âYeah, theyâre working on a project or something together for one of their songwriting classes.â
Suddenly everything is starting to make sense. How did you not know Hansol and Seungkwan knew each other? Wow, you really need to start listening to Seungkwan more when he complains about his classes.
.ă . ⢠â . ° .⢠°:. *â ° . â  . .ă . ⢠â . ° .⢠°:. *â ° . â  . .ă . ⢠â . ° .⢠°:. *â ° . â  .
âHey, Y/N, Iâm going to grab dinner later tonight with a group of friends. Do you want to join?â
You glanced up from the textbook you were hunting for citations in and looked at your friend, the library chair squeaking as you sat up.Â
âSure, when?âÂ
Seungkwan looked at his watch. âLetâs seeâŚitâs almost 4 right now, and we agreed to meet at 6:30, so in about two and a half hours? Does that work for you?â
You smiled, âYeah, it does.â
You and Seungkwan walked together from the library to dinner. You spend almost all of your weekend studying for your midterms, and you were looking forward to having good food and a break from shoving your face in your textbook.Â
When the two of you arrived, you noticed the very packed table. âHow many people were invited to this dinner thing, anyway?â you questioned your best friend.Â
âAboutâŚ14. Including you.â
You nodded and followed him to the table the large group was already sitting at. You knew a couple people there, such as Jihoon, the infamous producer, as well as Soonyoung and the rest of his dance team: Minghao, Junhui and Chan. You also noticed Seokmin from Seungkwanâs theater class.Â
Seungkwan quickly introduced you to the rest of the friend group. You were sitting on the edge of the rounded booth, next to Seungcheol: the business major and music minor who shares a couple of songwriting classes with Jihoon and Seungkwan.Â
âWhere is Hansol? Has anyone seen him today?â Mingyu, the fashion major asked. âI checked the group chat but there is nothing from him.âÂ
âI was texting him earlier,â Jihoon piped up. âHe said he might be late doing deliveries today. He promised that heâd be here before 7 though--told us to get started without him.â
Hansol? Deliveries? Is HansolâŚ? Thatâs right, Chan said Hansol is friends with Jihoon and Seungkwan. It took a few minutes for it to click that Hansol was going to be here, too.Â
As soon as your brain wandered off to something that wasnât Hansol, the bell above the door jingled and the thump thump thump of footsteps was heard throughout the restaurant and heads turned towards the sound.Â
There he was, Hansol in his red collared shirt and backwards hat. âI am so sorry Iâm late again,â He looked over to you and smiled. âI was running late on deliveries, but luckily they didnât last as long as expected.âÂ
You motioned over to Seungcheol to scooch over a bit in the booth in order for you to make room for Hansol. He gratefully took a seat next to you.Â
âHave you all ordered yet?â he questioned.Â
âNo,â you started. âSeungkwan and I just got here about 5 minutes ago. You arenât that late.â
After you all ordered, everyone started their conversations within the group, and you opted to just sit out and observe the group. That is, until Hansol interrupted your listening.Â
âHey, Y/N,â You looked to your left and glanced up at Hansol.Â
âHey. I didnât know you were friends with this group.â
âI mean, I didnât know you were friends with Lee Chan still. I mean, itâs been how long? Four years?â
âHansol. Itâs only been two years.â You laughed at his forgetfulness.Â
"Really? It feels like it's been longer than that."Â
The two of you continued to talk, until the arrival of the food pulled you away from your conversation.Â
"What did you get, Y/N?"Â
"Oh uh. I got pizza."Â
"We go to a diner for dinner and you get the same food you get delivered to you every other day? Did you at least get a good type of pizza?"Â
You looked from him to your plate. "UhâŚ"Â
"You did not get Hawaiian pizza."Â
"Yeah, about that."Â
âI cannot believe you.â

Y/N:
yeah, those lyrics are amazing, sollie!Â
Y/N:Â
is that for the songwriting class?
hansolđ:Â
nope, jihoon is letting me use his studio. iâm only allowed fifteen minutes soâŚ.i need to hurry and record as soon as possibleÂ
hansolđ:Â
I just wanted input before i used jihoonâs studio for the first and most likely last time

A couple of days after Hansolâs adventure of recording for the first time in Jihoonâs studio, he texted you everything that happened in the studio. Everywhere from making a mistake with his pronunciation to how many times Jihoon sneezed. It was fun to message him, as he was easily able to keep a conversation interesting.Â
Though, his constant ââŚâ showing up and disappearing from your screen had you worried. That is, until your attention was drawn from that to the ringing doorbell. When you got to the door and opened it, you became confused.Â
Am I going crazy? Why did the doorbell ring if nobody is here?
Suddenly, your phone pinged. It was a message from Hansol.Â
hansolđ:Â
look down.Â
Your eyes slowly moved from the text to the landing in front of your door. A pizza box was sitting there. You looked around a bit before picking it up and bringing it inside.Â
The box was placed safely on the counter in the kitchen when your phone pinged yet again.Â
hansolđ:Â
open it.Â
You opened the box of your precious Hawaiian pizza, but instead of the random assortment of pineapples on the pizza, you took notice of the shapes they were carefully placed into.Â
âDate?â the pineapple slices spelled out.Â
Yes please, Hansol.

Foolâs Rush In
Part 10
Iâm participating in @wackydrabblesâ prompt 71Â âDont be stubborn. Try it.â
Word Count: 1890
Pairing: Liam and Riley
Thanks @burnsoslowâ for beta reading and pretty much having to drag me across the finish line, as well as all the weeks and weeks of listening to me whine and pity myself. And @emkay512â for pre-reading and your encouraging words late Monday that made my whole night.
a/n: this is crack, plain and simple. I havenât written since mid-october; just been paralyzed with fear over my own writing and this is my practice run and basically the best I could come up with. Iâm going to try so so hard to finish this series
The new royal couple, fresh off their Vegas flight, stepped up to a makeshift podium the press had created on the tarmac. It was packed tightly with news station microphones crammed in every nook and cranny, one on top of the other. Voice recorders were spread across its surface, and the crown's private jet served as the backdrop. A bevy of frenzied reporters -- domestic and international -- pushed and elbowed their way into one another in hopes of getting the closest shot of the newlyweds and a chance to have their questions answered first.
âKing Liam! Is the marriage binding?â
âHow long have you known, Miss Brooks?â
âWere you trying to make a political statement by having a hooker at the ceremony?â
âYour Majesty! Will the monkey be joining your court soon?â
So many questions, most followed by laughter and snickers directed at the King and his bride.
Liam frowned as his eyes dashed side to side in a diligent effort to understand the literally thousands of questions that were lobbed at him all at once. He blinked rapidly as one flash of a camera after the next blinded and bleached his vision. Just as it would return to normal, another successive set of flashes would set him back again.
He had been a part of news conferences since he was a child, when he would watch his late father speak from different parts of the world, near and far, about this policy or that deal. Yet this was different. This was not only the biggest breaking story in Cordonia -- or even Europe -- but one that had swept the world.Â
His drunken actions two nights ago, no doubt, would have created a stir; however, it was Maxwell's post on Instagram of the ceremony that now made him tabloid fodder. Everyone knew about the king who was married by his own brother and an Elvis impersonator, the leg-humping monkey that served as a ring bearer, and the chain-smoking, tube-top-wearing prostitute who was the maid of honor. As confident as Liam had been that he could handle this, as he'd dealt with so many other stories of intrigue regarding the monarchy, he couldn't dispel the twisting feeling that burrowed deep into the pit of his stomach.
Maybe Madeleine was right: he had become a laughingstock. A failure. Just one big fuck up.
As much as he hated to hear the things said about him, he could deal with it. In the morning, he would call Prince Harry to swap stories, survival tips, and perhaps share a good laugh about it.
It was just ...
Liam felt Riley's tiny hand grip his a little tighter. He wouldn't blame her one bit if his little pussycat turned around and headed back up the steps to the jet and returned to Las Vegas. The only thing Liam wanted to do was keep her shielded from the hurtful comments and insensitive questions. But to his astonishment, she stood there with all the feigned confidence in the world, flashing a big, beaming smile that lit his heart on fire, while staring back at him affectionately. She was handling the situation better than she was before they stepped off the plane. He knew she was doing it for him. God, she just makes everything better.Â
Feeling a little more grounded and in control, Liam returned her smile. A touch of radiance sparkled between his eyes and hers, as if it were some sort of unspoken conversation only they understood. Riley knew exactly what he needed at that moment to rise above this scandal they were both being raked over the coals for: He needed her to be okay.
Raising his free hand to calm the crowd so that he might address their concerns, he noticed the press' attention and cameras suddenly shift away from him and into the distance. Murmurs and chatter soon erupted. Naturally, Liam's gaze followed suit -- towards a group of heavily-armed soldiers heading their way. They wore white hazmat uniforms and had self-contained breathing apparatus and personal protective equipment. Leading the charge was a well-dressed gentleman in a three-piece suit with a shiny bald head that glistened with heavy perspiration.Â
He walked like he hadn't shit in weeks.
Liam squinted and lifted a hand to shield his eyes from the bright sunlight. âThe hell is that?â
Riley inched closer to Liam and clasped his suit jacket. "What's happening right now? Who are all those people, Liam?"
Liam's forehead creased in puzzlement; he didn't know. Wrapping his arms protectively around Riley, he pulled her even closer but never answered the question. It wasn't until the uniformed men stopped briefly and pointed to Drake, who was standing with his arms crossed at the bottom of the stairs, that it suddenly became clear who they were looking for.
Reporters and onlookers had been so focused on Liamâs return with the American woman, they hadnât noticed that the brooding Walker had exited the jet last among their posse. Just as everyone had watched replays and snippets of Maxwellâs Instagram video, they were also fully aware the Kingâs best friend wasnât exactly returning to Cordonia ⌠healthy ⌠thanks to Maxwellâs Tik Tok sing-along.Â
A video Drake Walker had no clue existed.Â
 The crowd began to disperse in fear and panic. If men in hazmat suits were needed, they could only assume this went well beyond your casual, run-of-the-mill STD.
Still in no mood to play around, Drake started yelling obscenities and gradually backing away from the hazmat brigade that was closing in on him like a cheetah at a water buffalo hole.Â
"Mr. Walker," a heavily echoed voice called out, sounding oddly reminiscent of Darth Vader through their breathing contraption, "we need you to come with us."
"The fuck I do." Drake shook his head emphatically while continuing to slide away from them. "I'll beat the shit out of all of ya if you so much as touch me."
"Now, Mr. Walker, don't be stubborn. Try it, and you'll find yourself with a nice little tranquilizer to the ass. Are you going to come with us willingly, or do we have to make this more difficult than it needs to be?"
Drake stood motionless in disbelief. "I don't even know what you guys want or what you think I did," he squawked with a hint of desperation in his tone.
"Tough titties. SEIZE HIM!"
With that order, Drake twisted on the heels of his boots and took off, dodging and weaving away from a bunch of men he had no clue why were even after him.Â
He had a pretty good hunch, though, who set this chain of events in motion.
The bald guy in a three-piece suit walked up to Liam and flipped his badge open. "Your Majesty?"
Liam nodded, not bothering to acknowledge the man's credentials. "I am. What is the meaning of all this? What the hell are you doing with Drake?"
"Sir, if you will, it has come to our attention that Mr. Walker is a public health risk and highly contagious. We will have to secure him into our custody at once."
Liam scrunched up his face in utter confusion and stared back at the official before responding, âHe just has case of crabs, syphilis, herpes, genital warts, gonorrhea, and chlamydia. Youâre treating him like heâs about to start some damn worldwide pandemic. Without sexual contact and with heavy doses of medications and creams, Drake should be able to live a normal life like anyone else. So, as the ruler of this country, I am ordering your men to stand down at once.â
âMy apologies, King Liam, but my orders come from the World Health Organization and the United Nations. You'll need to take this up with them. Dr. Wolfschitz was clear on the protocol."
"Dr. Wolfschitz?" Liam questioned as realization quickly set in. He twisted around to face Leo, who had this enormous shit-eating grin, the likes he'd never seen on him before. "You? You did this?"
âWalker messed with the wrong bull, little bro.â Leo stuck up his pointer fingers on both sides of his head with a menacing scowl and smugness in his tone. âNow he gets the horns.â
Liam swatted away one of Leo's finger horns. âThis is serious, Leo. Not everything is a joke! You're going to fix this, NOW!"
Leo placed a comforting hand on his younger brotherâs shoulder, patting it a few times before speaking softly to him. âLook, I know youâre upset right now. You two were very close. But the Drakester is going to a far better place. Thereâs a big open field and everything where he can run and play all day with others just like him. And all the meaty bones he can eat too ⌠lucky bastard.â
Riley had to bury her face in Liamâs chest to prevent the laugh that threatened to escape, but the bobbing of her shoulders was something she couldnât hide.Â
âNOW, Leo!âÂ
Leo tried to hold his ground but was too weak to resist the impatient glare Liam was burning into his soul. After a brief moment, he rolled his eyes and let out a heavy sigh. "Why ya gotta be such a dillhole, Liam? Do you realize you get rattled faster than a two-tit turtle on a tightrope? It's really not your best quality, little brother, but we can work on that." Annoyed, Liam rubbed a hand over his eyes and groaned as his brother continued, "Either way, Father always said, âif you can't help your fellow man out, you might as well become one of the Walkers.â Truer words were never spoken so eloquently.â Leo raised his eyes to the heavens thoughtfully before thinking better of it and lowered them toward the ground. "May you rest in peace, Father," he shouted.
As Leo trotted off to speak with Bald Dude to confess his false claim, Bastien helped guide Liam and Riley through the rambunctious swarm of reporters and spectators. Once they reached the limo, Liam helped Riley inside as Maxwell rounded the vehicle and climbed in on the other side. Pausing for a moment before sliding in, the King placed his hands on top of the open door of the limo and turned one last time to check on his friend. He swallowed hard over the guilt of leaving him behind. As His Majesty watched in horror, Drake took a tranquilizer dart to the back of the thigh and Bastien insisted the area was a security threat, shoving him inside. They would send another car to transport Drake and Leo back to the palace.Â
Bastien stomped on the gas pedal and sped off, kicking up dirt and smoke as the tires peeled and squealed against the fiery Cordonian asphalt.
When they passed through the airport's security gate, a small motorcade following closely behind, Liam finally lifted his head, his eyes growing wide when he realized what just happened: Bastien's shove had sent Liam flying across the seat to land face-first into a lap â her lap.Â
He stayed frozen in place, unable to look anywhere but the two slender, bronzed legs peeking out below the hem of his new wife's dress.Â
Riley lifted an eyebrow, a slight grin dangling from her plush pink lips. "Something you wanna say, Your Majesty?"
Everything that had just happened in the 15 minutes since they landed was long forgotten. Drake who? Liam glanced up with a devilish smirk. "Welcome to Cordonia, Pussycat."

alfajores y mentiras
oikawa x reader sum: your popular pro-volleyball neighbor asks you to be his fake girlfriend to ward off some unwanted romantic attraction and let his fans down easy but he starts to fall cw: fluffy, eating, some fake/platonic smooches, nickname âprincessâ, f!reader wc: 1.2k a/n: part 1/2 but this is basically a short intro to the much longer/smuttier part 2
It was normal enough when Oikawa knocked on your door late at night. What wasnât normal was that he had a small baggie of alfajores from your favorite bakery. Or that ultra-focused look in his eyes you only ever saw when he was playing.Â
You had moved into the apartment next to him nearly a year ago and slowly a comfortable friendship had bloomed between the two of you. Sure, you recognized how attractive he was, you naturally clicked with him more than you did with other people, and you listened to his long stories about how his best friend from high school was doing. But you were just friends.Â
âOikawa?â You questioned and he shushed you, pushing past you into your entryway. âWhy are you being so dramatic?â You rolled your eyes.Â
âWill you be my fake girlfriend?â He asked it as though he was just asking for some spare butter. âIâll give you these if you say yes.â He pressed on when you didnât answer.Â
âWhy?â You narrowed your eyes. It was known to anyone who knew anything about Argentina volleyball that he was well-liked by women and men. He could have anyone if he wanted to. Still, you werenât opposed to the idea.Â
âI canât be in a relationship right now, I donât have the time. So itâs like letting everyone off easy. They canât date me because of you, not because I donât have time for them.â
âYou donât have time for a real relationship, but you do have time for a fake one?âÂ
He pouted and spun toward the door. âI knew this was a dumb idea, but-â You caught his wrist and pulled him back with a small sigh.Â
âIâm not saying no, I just want to know how you want this to work.âÂ
Oikawaâs eyes lit up with a deep smirk. When he handed the dessert off to you, you already felt as though you had made a mistake.Â
Oikawa already had the details all planned out. You would go out with him to events and his games when you could, sometimes to lunch or dinner when he was free, and when you walked back to your shared apartment complex it would look as though you were going home together. He asked to just hold your hand and kiss your cheek in public. And if you found yourself trying to actually date someone he said you were welcome to call off the arrangement.Â
âHow long?â You asked between bites, sitting cross-legged across from him on the couch. âAnd donât you like your fangirls?âÂ
âI do, and theyâll keep being fans. I just want some people to stop approaching me about a relationship. Itâs annoying.â He whined and reached out to snatch one of your treats.Â
âHey!â You tried in vain to snatch it back but he easily swatted your grabby hand away. He stood and extended a hand to you as though you had just finished an important business meeting. Rolling your eyes for the hundredth time that night you took his hand. Before you could shake he brought your knuckles up to his lips and gave them a soft, teasing kiss while staring down at you. âYouâre insufferable.âÂ
âOoh, I love it when you call me names, princess.â He winked as he made his way to your door. You tried to hide your laugh, but it just made it more noticable. âIâll send you a schedule tomorrow morning and let me know what times work for you. Letâs try to be seen together at least three times this week and come to my game if you can.âÂ
âI donât have tickets to this one.â
He waved his hand, already halfway out the door. âIâll work it out and text you.â
So here you were a couple of days later, being swept into Oikawaâs arms shortly after they won the game in front of a giant crowd of people. He had insisted you wear one of his older jerseys and sit close to the court. Your feet just lifted off the ground as he crushed you into his chest. When he set you back down you were already a little dizzy from the quick affection and barely registered that he was swooping in to plant a kiss against your flushed cheek.
âThanks.â He simply whispered in your ear before he stood straight up again. With a big flashy smile, he waved to his adoring stadium as always. âMeet me outside, the locker room entrance, princess?â His voice was just loud enough for a nearby sports journalist to overhear. The clicks and flashes of photos rang in your ear as you nodded quickly.Â
You untangled yourself from the crowd, rushing through the lines until you were welcomed by the fresh night air. Taking a deep breath and made your trek around the building to the side entrance. There was already a small gaggle of giggling fangirls shifting on their heels outside the door, all obviously waiting for Oikawa. You didnât look down on them, you understood it, but after getting to know him a little better their adoration of him was a little funny to you. You sat on a cool bench and scrolled through your phone as you waited.Â
After what felt like forever the doors swung open with a heavy metal creak. The guys were in the middle of laughing about something. You barely glanced up as the guys made their way through their fans, signing this and that and making short conversation.Â
âPrincess!â You cringed at how his whiney voice called out to you with that awful nickname, but you knew your job. Looking up from your screen, you were met with a wall of eyes as Oikawa stepped out toward you. He tilted his head and eyed you expectantly.Â
âTĹru!â With a fake smile plastered on to hide how nervous you were, you ran toward him. He scooped you up just like before and squished a wet kiss into your cheekbone. The soft murmurs behind you made bile rise up in your throat. His steady hand took yours, moving to walk away from the small crowd.Â
âGoodnight everyone!â He called out with a small wave. He leaned in to whisper close to your ear. âDid you take the bus here like I asked?âÂ
Nodding, you turned to face him, nearly smacking his nose with yours. âYeah, youâre giving me a ride home right?âÂ
âThatâs the whole point,â he smiled and tapped the side of your cheek. He opened the passenger door of his car, still in full view of the looming group, and helped you in by the small of your back.Â
âGetting a little handsy, pretty boy.â You mutter as you buckle in.Â
He chuckles and softly shuts the door for you before he moves around to the driverâs seat.Â
âCâmon, you almost didnât look up and see me. Gotta try a little harder to look hopelessly in love with me.âÂ
You fake gagged at the sentiment but conceded anyhow. âOkay, okay, youâre right. I just got a little overwhelmed with everyone there.â Sighing you looked out the windshield at the mostly dispersed crowd. Only a small handful of people were still looking into the car. âCome here, people are still staring.â You ordered as you gently grasped under his chin and tilted his head just right. He eased toward you, lips brushing against a cheek. From the outside, it looked like a deep kiss.Â
After a few moments, you pulled away. âBetter?â You hummed before glancing out the window. Nobody was looking now.Â
âSee? I knew you could do it, princess.â

Call Her Back
Probably already a post with this title from the Letâs Play but itâs appropriate.
Thoughts on Replicant up to Ending A (and change):
This game is pretty. I guess it didnât really hit me because Iâve always thought that the original NIER was pretty, but this game can be very pretty.
This in particular just kind of struck me as I was going across the Northern Plains. It had been dominantly gray, overcast skies up to that point because Part II of the game is meant to be. You know. Bleak. But I walked out onto a bright, sunny day with an expanse of blues skies, the mountains in the backgrounds, the ivy a burst of green growing up the rusted sides of the train tracks and it just kind of hit me that the game can be very pretty.
(Then I got punched out by a Shade.)
Itâs definitely not a matter of massive graphical overhaul. The models look much better (getting a good look at the Twins during the finale, they really are beautiful) and Iâm sure the environmental poly count is much higher and just overall smoother, and there are little touches here and there and just the capacity for better atmospheric lighting... I mean it all helps. But NIER is a game thatâs always had fantastic art direction, making the most out of its budget through atmospheric tuning. Thereâs something uniquely beautiful about its muted palette and the way it uses its spaces that elevates it beyond the its actual technical limitations. It doesnât look like an end-of-generation PS4 game, but thatâs not an insult; it looks very much like itself from ten years ago, with its solid art direction, but touched up where it matters.
Does the sidequest grind seem... better...? I havenât really dug into the BEST part of the game (spending 30 hours grinding out weapon upgrades) but I mentioned before my theory about how the sidequest grind is supposed to be carried out across multiple playthroughs and thatâs why it sucks. To my surprise I finished Ending A missing only one sidequest (your friend and mine, Life in the Sands), with all of the other ones being more or less... pretty natural? The only thing I really needed to go out of my way for was Memory Alloy but all the other components didnât really give me the kind of grief I remember from my playthroughs of the original. âGriefâ of course being relative to getting the platinum trophy, but my first time through the game I gave up finishing a few outstanding sidequests (specifically, fixing the lighthouse broke me-- I could not find 10 Mysterious Switches!)
Maybe I just got lucky, especially with the Machine Oils. Maybe some weird muscle memory kicked in. I feel like there were a few purchasing options that werenât open originally, too, to ameliorate some of the grind, but it might also be a case of those options being cost-prohibitive so I just didnât really acknowledge them... whatever the case the sidequest grind felt overall pretty painless. I dunno!
I really need to know how to manipulate events. For literally seven playthroughs straight of the latter half of the game I always did the keystone quest as Junk Heap (start) - Forest of Myth - Junk Heap (end) - Facade - Aerie. It wasnât until I did a run with my college roommates and Popola gave me the Aerie letter before the Facade in invite that I realized the Aerie wasnât actually programmed to be the last event.
Absolutely blew my mind, and ever since I became aware of it, it feels like the game goes out of its way to make sure the Aerie always comes before Facade. When I did my Letâs Play of NIER I kept a save file from the start of the kystone collection so I could re-do the events in case they went âout of orderâ (according to my headcanon)... which they did. I replayed the latter half of the game again in order to get things the way I wanted them to be, same order, and fortunately it cooperated the second time, but I still donât understand what the trigger is, if thereâs a way to manipulate it, or when the determination is even made.
And then they throw the Little Mermaid into the mix, which I wasnât expecting (that is, I knew it was added, but Iâve been mostly avoiding spoilers -- and happily, the changes have largely been a delight, Iâm so excited for the subsequent playthroughs -- but the way it was posted about made it seem like it would happen after and apart from the keystone quest. Not so, my friends).
The reason for this is just the emotional escalation of each factor of the quest. The Forest of Myth is weird and little else (at this juncture, of course). The Junk Heap is a personal tragedy, but the actual tragedy has already occurred and youâre just experiencing the fallout. Facade is a powerful and personal tragedy that deserves to be experienced later on. The Aerie is a terrible place and nobody misses it itâs an enormous loss and profoundly traumatic for the party, and it feels like the appropriate apex to basically force them to go to the Castle and finish the fight, having already lost far too much.
Also itâs just super weird to me that they see that devastation, they literally wipe an entire settlement off the map, and then the next day everybodyâs super excited to go to a wedding.
It also becomes even weirder that you go to Popola post-Aerie and nobody mentions âyeah that didnât go so wellâ but coming out of Seafront they have a legitimate conversation about the loss of the ferryman and the people theyâre never getting back. I guess that guy had a personality but I still think maybe somebody should mention the smoking crater where people used to be.
Then again itâs legitimately funny to me how basically everybody is just agreed the world is better off without it.
This might also just be an issue of familiarity. Maybe if Iâd always ended on Facade, or actually known that they could be swapped out as they are, it wouldnât feel so weird. I definitely got used to the pacing with the Aerie at the end and I feel like I got into a debate with somebody about how itâs more appropriate for Facade to come last so this might just be a personal thing. But itâs still a personal thing and Iâm still vaguely irritated I canât figure out how it works.
Anyway I blew up the Aerie So thatâs that problem taken care of.
I feel like the ambiance surrounding Wendy was a little creepier this time. I swear I heard that good stock creepy child laughter in the background.
Then the ferryman left This was a nice bit of foreshadowing; following the Aerie events I wanted to hop over to Seafront to take care of an extant sidequest only to find the ferry dock in the Northern Plains empty. I thought that maybe this was just a weird way of railroading you to make sure you went through the Village first, even though there were no scenes that would trigger just by being in the Village.
Alas.
Not gonna lie, when the couple was first introduced I thought for SURE it was going to be the wife who wound up dead. I guess itâs because the guy had a purpose as an NPC so yeah, I was tricked. Good design decision; the ferryman is talkative and bright and definitely difficult to forget and even though he was kinda obnoxious thereâs a definite void where his dialogue was. Itâs clever too that youâre forced to use the ferry at least once so you canât escape the dialogue that youâre presented with, meaning that even if you donât really make use of the ferry youâll always have that contrast between him at the start of Part II and the other guy (his brother, maybe?) taking over the job and just not really talking to you afterward.
Episode Mermaid First of all, to be clear, Iâve not done the Route B playthrough yet. All I know about the Little Mermaid is whatâs presented on the surface, what can be gleaned from there, what I remember reading in the Grimoire NieR short story. This is very much just an impression and reaction to the first encounter and itâs pretty cool.
I like that they managed to go into yet another genre style aping a point-and-click adventure.
I like the atmosphere of the wrecked ship. It really brought me back to the âghost shipâ level archetype with its little hints of spookiness.
I appreciate that it ties subtly in to the Haunted Manor (technically the Part I Seafront dungeon) with Weissâ utterly irrational fear of ghosts.
I love every excuse they find to get Kaine and Emil (and especially Kaine) out of a situation. Itâs almost a running gag that Kaine keeps getting knocked out of dungeons and boss fights. None of them are quite as great as her getting Rules Lawyerâd in the Barren Temple, but thereâs something delightful about âLetâs get you some fresh air, weâll be right outside, be careful!â and then bookending it with Kaine and Emil just chilling at the end like âWell yeah there are a lot of holes in the hull we just popped in.â
(I forgot to go backward to see what happens if you try to take them into Seafront proper, gotta remember that next time.)
Interesting thing when you find some of the dropped apples is that Nier and Weiss talk about the dinner they had with the couple. This was actually a really sweet and oddly emotional conclusion to the added sidequest between the bickering couple-- entirely missable. I would assume the dialogue just doesnât trigger if you didnât do the quest but it was a nice touch.
I appreciate the use of dead bodies in the hold.
(Thatâs a sentence.)
But for the gameâs focus on violence and excess of blood itâs very selective in how it uses actual corpses. Any time you see a dead body it really emphasizes the seriousness of the situation. The corpses in the hold and the blood spatter -- especially compared to how bright and clean Seafront as a whole is -- was surprisingly effective. Again, just good atmospheric buildup.
Bit of an anticlimax as a boss, though. It is a really cool boss, between the environmental buildup to the fight and then actually unveiling her, but for how big and scary she is the fight itself went by fairly quick, and the actual finale (the postman whacking her hand telling her to go away sheâs groooooss) felt a bit weird in comparison to the way the boss fights in the rest of the game usually play out. Of course, I donât have context of her dialogue (I can take my guesses, her holding out her hand to Hans as he freaks out and attacks her is already a palpable tragedy) and by the way the scene was framed I suspect the Route B reveal is where the most important part of the scenario lies.
And the seals came back! Itâs the little things.
âI wish I was Fyra.â So in the original Replicant the conversation between Emil and Nier before Sechâs wedding was apparently an implication that Emil had a crush on Nier and wanted to marry him. It was ambiguous enough that people had to ask for clarification and some players interpreted it as a weird, childish expression of looking up to and respecting Brother Nier. It was clarified in the Grimoire NieR that Emil is gay and crushing hard on Brother Nier, and this line of dialogue here seems to have been... not made explicit, but changed even between RepliCant and ver. 1.22 to make the implication a little clearer, at least insofar as he isnât interested in girls. (It winds up missing the implication that heâs into Nier specifically, though.)
...which is funny, because it colors his introduction to the King of Facade somewhat differently. These two meeting is honestly really sweet on a few levels (Sechs recognizing him from Nierâs descriptions, which implies that Nierâs been visiting Sechs regularly and so proud of his interactions with Emil he told the king of another nation all about him, and the King is legit excited to meet him) but then a couple of minutes later Emil is all âIâm so jealous of Fyraâ. He isnât crushing on Nier, but he is totally crushing on Sechs.
Endgame At this point in the game the distinction between Brother and Father has become mostly lost and the final charge is pretty much the same as
wait whatâs up with the music in the Lost Shrine? This is Snow in Summer.
Or an arrangement thereof. That particular track level from Snow in Summer winds up getting used in a few new places and it has this kind of weird, vague sense of dread that makes it work pretty well. Utterly threw me off in the Lost Shrine, though (I think itâs appropriate given its connection to the Shadowlord/Gestalt Nier so slowly re-introducing it in the climb is pretty cool). It also builds insanely as you climb, which is a very cool effect but, um, Iâm just here to pick up some sidequest items right now this feels like a little much.
There isnât much to say regarding any impact or differences in the large part of this area of the game. Itâs a good final dungeon, it carries good momentum, it works as well as it ever did (that is to say, rather well). The emotional beats are great and translate equally well between the protagonists, although I have to give the nod to Papa Nier during a lot of this just for the imagery of such a big, powerful man becoming so broken the further he goes in (and Kaine being strong enough to toss him around like a rag doll anyway).
The final flashback with Nier and Yonah also feels better with Papa Nier. I always read it as, of course, Papa Nier having his moment with Yonah, giving her the flower, and as he lays back down Yonah does the same big sigh like sheâs trying to emulate her dad and itâs really sweet. This is another one of those moments where itâs not something that feels wrong in Replicant, but just having that comparison in the back of my head is something that I just canât help.
Is Papa Nier still Best Neir? Yes.
But thereâs room in my heart for Brother. Iâm glad the bizarre marketing decision happened and both of these characters can exist.
...and then we reload the save. Okay, okay, so-- so hereâs the thing-- I figured thatâs a good place to conclude a session, right? Get to the ending, prepare for the next run. But I also know that Route B starts with Kaineâs unskippable novel segments. Iâve read them, of course, so I figure Iâll just reload into Route B so I can make a save after the novel sections, really get into the meat of Route B when Iâm fresh.
So skim through those--
Beat up the Knave--
Skim through the rest--
Educated Warrior... didnât pop...?--
Wait whatâs this camera angle--
Why am I outs--
oh my god
oh my god
KAINE AND EMIL HAVING GIGGLY GIRL TALK AROUND THE CAMPFIRE OH MY GOD WHAT IS HAPPENING
THEREâS MORE.
THEREâS. MORE.
I legit short-circuited. Going in I knew they added the Little Mermaid. I knew they added Ending E. Those were things I suspected would be added and went out to specifically confirm; beyond that Iâve been keeping myself completely spoiler free.
I had no idea there was more. I had no idea this was happening.
Iâm so excited.
And a goofy thought for the road
âI polished you with a special cloth, I poured warm water on you--â
âWait, you poured water on me?â
/imagines Emil running blindfolded eight hours across the Southern Plains with an 8oz plastic water cup, getting to the library, splashing it on Kaine, waiting expectantly
/nothing happens
/walks dejectedly eight hours all the way back to the Manor

guys i am screaming and like, i gotta vent about something. so i guess if youâre interested, feel free to read below the cut.
aight so iâm with a student publication on my campus as a videographer, so i edit videos. itâs been a chill gig during the fall semester, but everything subsequently gets worse this winter semester. so we had a meeting in january and one of the things the senior videographer brought up was the agony aunt promo video. the meeting was in mid january and they needed the video before february. i kinda got volun-told to do it since the other two videographers have projects that were assigned to them by the sr. videographer. so im like, aight, chill. i didnât mind because like.. i had no assignments that was due until mid february and iâve got the time. so i got the agony aunt promo done pretty quickly. side note though: i ended up buying $50 worth of stock footage for this one video since i didnât know that there was a thing such as free stock footage until much later. i have now learned my lesson.
anyway, i get the video done before february and the sr. videographer gives her okay on it and says that it would be posted in the next few days.
it wasnât.Â
fast forward to february 20th (and they still havenât posted the agony aunt promo on the publicationâs instagram page). itâs the long weekend and also my momâs birthday, so we were out of town for the day. on our way back home, i check my messages and see a message from the sr. videographer at 7pm. sheâs requesting that i make a promotional video for the upcoming open mic. she tells me that all the information is on the instagram post. not thinking much of it, i go âalrightâ. so i checked the instagram post for details.
tell me. why. the announcement regarding the open mic was posted on february 2nd. and the date of the event (which is to be held over zoom) was february 23.Â
iâm given basically less than three days to work on this video. so iâm frustrated and annoyed, but i messaged her and said i could get it done by the 21st.Â
this was when i discovered the beauty of pexels and free stock footage which helped me IMMENSELY. i stayed up late, even though i was tired as fuck that night, to finish this video and upload it on the google drive. i message her that it was done but i was still seething. itâs not the best video iâve done (and lemme tell you; editing a damn video takes time especially if youâre making it from scratch), but itâs good enough. i was like âidgaf if she critiques it. i am drunk rn and i have the confidence of a mediocre white boy and will gladly tell her to eff off and do the video herselfâ.Â
she messages me not on the 21st but the 22nd, a day before the event. guess what she says?Â
âhey, so they changed the date of the open mic from the 23rd to march 5th. can you change the date in the video please?â
WHAT THE ACTUAL MOTHERFUCK?!!
you mean to tell me. that you had me working tirelessly over this video to meet such a tight deadline... ONLY FOR YOU TO CHANGE THE DATE?!! i was so mad but ofc when i message her i just go âalright. got itâ. i change the date and reuploaded it. this was on the 22nd.
they posted the open mic promo video a couple of days ago (March 1-2), and the agony aunt promo video (finally!) yesterday.Â
the story should end there. but nope. thereâs more.
 she messages me again today at 11am. âhey, would you be able to attend the open mic event tomorrow at 6pm and emcee with me? we can host a meeting in the morning so thereâs no unpredictability and plan everything out.â
again: WHAT THE ACTUAL MOTHERFUCK?!!
i have work tomorrow. and i only get scheduled one day a week at work. technically, my shift is from 11:30am till roughly 5pm (it depends on how busy it is + how long my tables stick around for, but normally iâm done by 5pm). but even then, iâm exhausted as fuck after work since iâm on my feet and running around.Â
so iâm like âoh so sorry but iâve got work till 7pm tomorrow!â she has yet to reply.
but seriously: how inconsiderate are you of other peopleâs time that you consistently ask them to do things last minute/rush them to do something and not have their work be posted quickly enough?Â
i get that this would help me work with tighter deadlines and i have experience, but for a student-run university publication, this shit is ridiculous. the only good thing is that iâm graduating in june and i wonât have to join them again the year after. even if i wasnât graduating, i wouldnât join them again because theyre a mess. also the only reason i joined in the first place was so i can say that i joined an extracurricular in university and didnât just do nothing my four years in undergrad.
okay, thatâs it. rant over.Â
#âˇă bree speaks ăâ ooc âˇ#rant cw#im thisclose to committing an unaliving of someone#buckle up folks this is a fucking ride

Prompt: "Why Me?" at a Destroyed Factory in a time when Time Travel was widely available with Arthur Morgan. [Arthur Morgan x Reader] [GN]
Words: 2.5k
A/N: This is an odd one but I like it :D, thanks for the request! I hope you all like it.
    ~~~~~~
With the alarm blaring by my bed, I roll over with a groan, just another day working at home in my PJs... and not seeing anyone... againâdamn pandemic. As I was going about my day, I heard a knock at the door; curious about what or who it could be I, opened the door.Â
There stood a man wearing suit pants with a pocket watch at my front door, a slightly brown shirt with the sleeves rolled up and braces. He carried only an envelope that he held close to his chest, it had browned with age, and the corners had had a beating it was that old.Â
The man paused for a second, leaving me to stare at him while in my pyjamas - which I had just remembered. "Your name, it wouldn't be (y/n) (l/n) would it?" the man asked, curiously.
"It is, and what's your name?" I replied, not understanding why this man was here if he was a postman surely he would have just posted the letter.Â
"I work for the post office," so he was a postman. "and I've been waiting to deliver this letter for the past 30 years, it is our oldest letter..."
"That's nice..." I say, not sure where this conversation was going or why it was even happening.Â
"It's addressed to you," the man says as he hands over the letter "and it had been originally sent more than a century ago."Â
"Is this some kind of joke?" I ask, unsure as to whether I want to take the letter or not, "A prank?"
"No!" The man insisted "No, I just wanted to deliver the letter personally, to see who it's addressed too. Good day, (y/n)" at this the man turns around and leaves, heading back to his rather fancy car.Â
I watch him leave before I shut my door, looking at the envelope, it was indeed addressed to me, and it had pages and pages but on the very first page was a note, a single note.Â
"Meet me here, at 04/01/2021 at 4 pm.
Coordinates:Â 53.4814195, -2.22865000000002"
I was curious for a moment, but as I scanned the next page of the letter and accidentally saw the last page, I instantly knew I had to do as the letter asked.
The letter said I could only read one page at a time; it was more like instructions and as much as wanted to read the next page, I followed the letter's instructions.Â
~~~
 On my second train journey to get to the coordinates, I quickly looked up where they were leading me again, it was an abandoned factory. I suddenly fell into the rabbit hole researching the factory - there's an old ghost story were workers would disappear, there were even eye-witness accounts saying they would vanish into thin air.Â
I read through the next page again; there was information that only I should know so I was still freaked out but the curiosity of why a person from over 100 hundred years ago, can know me so well.Â
As I carry my backpack off the train, I follow the phone as it takes me down side streets through the town centre. The anticipation is KILLING me, so it feels like I have been walking around for an hour now.Â
~~~
Eventually, I get to the abandoned factory, The road to it was surrounded by overgrown grass and trees that covered the sky, and there are several gates padlocked. I needed to climb over one of the fences with brickwork that had slightly crumbled down - just enough to get a leg up.
After rereading the next page, I take a quick look around, I've read that they don't even have a guard here, but the house down the street sometimes would ring the police if they spotted anyone trespassing - but if you went down the side further into the trees they can't see you.Â
When I got to the inside of the building, I followed this letter that the postman had given me,Â
"Second Floor, East Wing, Room 204"
I head in there, and I can feel the energy off of something that I couldn't see anything- in fact, I could barely see anything anyways the room was so dark, soot on the walls from cent, I walked closer into the room.Â
~~~
"I wouldn't move any closer if I were you."
I freeze, heart racing, I didn't think anyone else was in here, I certainly couldn't see anyone else.Â
All of a sudden, a match was lit, showing me dark eyes under a 'Ten-Gallon' hat as the stranger lit a cigar.Â
"I... I didn't think anyone else was here" I say honestly. "Just me and my friends" I lie.Â
"It's okay, friend, I ain't gonna hurt you," said the stranger, he spoke as if he was from an old western.Â
'friend?' I think as I squint through the dark to get a better look.
"You address me like you know me, do I know you?" I ask, unsure whether I want to keep talking to the stranger stood in the dark, abandoned warehouse - No, I do not.
"No, but I know you." The stranger replied.Â
"Is that so, well, I'm just gonna find my friends, I'll be back in a sec" I lie again, finding a polite excuse to leave.Â
"You don't need to lie to me. You haven't read the next page of the letter yet have you?" the strange cowboy said more than asked.Â
"You...How... You know about the letter?"Â
The stranger walked closer, walking into a patch of sunlight, I could see them more clearly. They wore a scruffy beard, a blue shirt and... gun, they had a gun, 'god I hope it's a prop' I thought, maybe I had walked onto a film set.Â
"You should really read the next page of the letter." They could sense my hesitation to take my attention away from the stranger. "It's okay. I'm going to stay here where you can see me."
~~~
I read the next page, which told me to read the page after too, this page explained that the stranger in front of me was a man named Arthur Morgan. A man who was not going to hurt me told me I should trust him since he is a friend, a good friend that I just hadn't had the opportunity to get to know yet.Â
As I read the pages, I kept looking up to make sure the man-Arthur kept his promise; he did, he was watching me as if he had seen me read this letter a million times before.
"As I said, I'm not going to hurt you" Arthur spoke up.Â
"Yeah, I know... I just read it." I felt like I wasn't really here.Â
"Yeah, that pesky letter. I bet ya have a couple a questions?"
"A couple? Yeah, more than enough" I replied, getting frustrated. "Why do I have this letter? Who Sent it? Why did it lead me here? And not that I'm judging but why are you dressed like a cowboy? And plea---se tell me that's not a real gun" I realise my voice had gotten louder and louder. This letter I had received had been weird from the start, but now it was too much.Â
Arthur chuckles, and I oddly find comfort in it but at the same time get more annoyed. "Okay 1) It is crucial that you got this letter and that's all I can say on that, other than..." Arthur contemplates his words. "it's gonna help some people, maybe even save some." Pause. "2) ain't gonna tell you tha', just tha' it's from a good friend, is all. 4 and 5) Because I am, and it is, is that a problem, darlin'?" Arthur says with a smirk as if he had won in some way.Â
"You missed 3" I reply smugly, "You missed question 3" I repeated, completely ignoring his comment.Â
"I was saving the best 'till last is all," He said with a roll of his eyes.Â
'the cheek of this man' I think as Arthur walks closer to the window, wiping dust and soot off of it, just enough for us to see in the room. He finishes and walks towards me, as he does, he gestures to the centre of the room.Â
"You can feel it, can't you? like a pull and a push all are the same time." Arthur asks. Â I can only nod, wanting to hear the explanation, Arthur continues, "It's a time..." He paused "oh what did they say it was again?" This time, speaking more to himself than me. "A time rift, it's a time rift."Â
"Okay... and what does that mean, exactly?" I ask, trying to understand.Â
"Listen, I don't know this crap okay, they just told me what to say, beyond that I have no idea. It basically means that... that time is weakest here."
"Meaning... what?"Â
"Meaning... Well, meaning we can go to one time and then to another... Not very frequently though, It can take a lot outa ya."
Suddenly we heard the gate outside creek open, scraping against the concrete. Arthur quickly grabbed you and dragged you to the closest wall, both of you ducking down underneath the window.Â
The police officers were chatting outside and weren't going to be there for a few more minutes; the letter explained that I should have enough time - if I did everything correctly and listened to Arthur, that pesky neighbour must have seen Arthur at the window before.Â
~~~
"What do we do" I whispered to Arthur, panicking slightly.Â
"It's okay, darlin', we hav'ta go through the time rift" Arthur whispered back.Â
"Why?"
"To get away from the coppas, to help the.. the people, like I said"
"I mean, why me? if you need to help people maybe get a doctor or nurse."
"It has to be you, okay and I can't explain why just yet, only with time will you understand, okay."
"Will I be able to come back if I go into the time rift thing, will I be able to come back?"
"Darlin', you won't ever wanna come back," Arthur said smugly despite the circumstances.
"Arthur," I said in a rather fed up voice.
"Okay, yes, you can come back... if you wanted to."
"And people need help?"Â
"Not just people, erm, ma friends, my team - if you will, even me."Â
I looked at him for a moment; I believed him wholeheartedly for some reason.Â
"I'll help you," I said in whisperer as I heard the police officers enter the building. "What do I do?"
"Well, you gotta think of the date and the place that you are going too, I brought a photograph with me." He said as he pulled out the picture, "You can keep that, jus' give it back to me later. So you gotta think of this place on this date and walk into it... It's that simple."
"Okay, come on then," you say as start walking toward the centre of the room, closer to the rift.Â
"Sorry Darlin', I'm not going to the same place as you."
"What, but you... you said I am going to help you, how am I supposed to do that if you aren't there" I argued.Â
"I'm gonna be there, just a few years younger, more arrogant and much more dashing." The police started walking through the second floor, having cleared the first floor. "You gotta go now; I'll be seeing ya, don't worry. Now go"
I stare at the cowboy again, he seemed sincere, and he was. He did mean it when he said that I could come back if I wanted, and I visited my family once a year for a month or so, but the wild west has been more home from this day forward.Â
He was also right about being more arrogant too.Â
~~~
As I landed on the firm grassy hillside, feeling as if every atom had been broken and put back together, I cautiously stood up. Turning around, I hear muttering from just over the hilltop.Â
I looked over the hill; you saw a giant campsite for at least 20 people; it was like a small town.Â
"Looks like we got a nosy one," A familiar voice said from behind me "what's your name darlin'... and why are you dressed so.. Unique like."
I turned around recognising Arthur Morgan as he sat atop his horse, a hide on the back. "Erm, hi" I reply as I realise this Arthur doesn't know me. "it's a long story, but if you're willing to listen and maybe read this..." I say as I show the letter that went on for pages and pages.Â
Arthur slowly warmed up to me; he didn't read past this page that I had yet to read myself; he was respectful of that at least.Â
Arthur spoke to his friend and gang leader 'Van Der Linde' about let me stay, "They'll be my responsibility." was all Arthur had said, with a nod and a grunt his friend walked off before following with...
"Get 'em some clothes, they look ridiculous."Â
~~~
Arthur was rather sweet to me, he showed me how to hunt and gather food - also how to cook it, just wait for the stew it is rather good.Â
I helped Arthur redeem himself and his name - which took a lot of work, but it was worth it.Â
As I said, Arthur took me in, and we grew close, years later we settled down on a farm and lived an honest life which we're both happy with.
After about a decade together we realised it was time... We had to send me/my younger self through the Time Rift. We travelled day and night for a week in order to reach the old factory, which at this point was just a few years old and bustling with people.Â
We snuck in through the back exit and said we are health inspectors on a new programme, here to check the disappearances. As soon the factory was being built, people started to go missing - no one had ever been that tall before, and so no one had managed to go through the rift before.Â
They let us in instantly and even walked us up to the rift, we were left alone for a moment as I said goodbye, he would be back I wasn't sure when, and he would see a me that didn't trust him, that didn't even know him.Â
After he went through the rift, I headed back to our home, where I hoped beyond hope he would make his way back home - he does.
So as I write this letter to you, hoping that you won't cheat and flick through the pages as time travel can be a tricky subject - I know you read the last bit of the last page.
I am you, from your future and I need your help.Â
