old man richie who doesn’t quite get all the things his young girlfriend does.

like diy eyelash clusters? he walks into the bathroom one day and you’re holding an eyelid open, little black lashes pinched between tweezers as you meticulously place them on your lash line. the sight makes him grimace, keeping his distance and standing near the wall.

“the fuck you doin’?” richie asks, “isn’t a professional ‘sposed to do that?”

you glance at him through the mirror while picking up another cluster. “well, yeah. but this is cheaper and quicker, tons of women do it themselves now.”

richie makes a noise of acknowledgment, coming closer to peer at the supplies you’ve got laid out across the counter. his gaze flickers back up to you, watching the glue get applied to the bulb, before you’re holding your eye open again.

“does it hurt?” he asks.

you try not to grin, not wanting to mess this up. “why would it hurt?”

“i don’t fuckin’ know, that’s why i asked.” richie would grouse, already backing off because seeing your eyes like that is kinda creepy.

he wouldn’t understand stanley cups either.

like, they’re so expensive! and it’s a cup, sweetheart, we’ve got plenty in the house.

richie shows his adamant disapproval when one shows up a week later, going on about how a plastic drink bottle would do the same job, and you’d still have all your money. “straight up robbery,” is what he calls it.

but after sex? take your eyes off him and he’s drinking out of your goddamn stanley. you’ll scold him and whine, because “richie! you’re drinking all my freaking water!” but he adamantly insists that your water tastes better than the water on his bedside.

which, it does, of course, in all it’s crisp cold glory.

headcannon regulus is somewhat of a polyglot.

he was raised speaking a mix of french and english with his mother. being raised in a traditional pureblood household he had to learn at least 2 other languages due to the black families connections (probably italian and german).

he learned to mask his mixed accent but when hes relaxed or not trying to hide it, there's hints of the other accents mixing into his british accent.

he would talk to sirius and evan in franglais and to barty in itanglese/denglisch.

sometimes when he was tired he would struggle to remember to translate what he was saying into english. james would find this enthralling and would love hearing him speak in different languages. he would try to respond in the most atrocious french and regulus just found it cute.

Regression flag

We've never really liked the meanings behind the colors of the age/pet regression flags we have seen so I tried my hand at making a general regression flag

Dark gray-green: Unregressed states.

Green: Mental health, as green is often used as the color for mental health awareness.

Blue: Trauma, as blue is sometimes used for trauma and PTSD awareness.

Light purple: Involuntary regression, purple is the opposite of yellow with is being used for voluntary regression.

Yellow: Voluntary regression, yellow is the opposite of purple with is being used for involuntary regression.

White: healing

While this was made mostly with age and animal regression in mind it can also be other forms of psychological regression, such as developmental regression.

Edit: Added a alternative version with arrows in the center to represent both regression itself, and blurring together of experiences that may happen while regressed

Ok so - stop screaming it's just me - so we know Experiment!Wheeljack can growl and hiss and stuff, but can he purr? And/or does he act animalistic in other ways (territorial, gets the zoomies, etc)? (You explored some of this in the chapter where he's staying at the original Autobot outpost, but I keep having Thoughts™ about our favorite gremlin Wrecker so I came here to chat about him😅) Ok that's all, I'll just be going now

Good question! I don’t think he can purr exactly the same way that a cat does, but he definitely can! Much in the same way he growls via grinding the sections of his throat together + engine noise he could probably also purr. So kinda weird sounding but recognizably purring

He also ABSOLUTELY gets the zoomies. He learned how to control it when he was with the Wreckers back on Cybertron, but it still slips out sometimes (like when June found him on the ceiling). Lights and sharp movements attract him, so he would in fact chase a laser pointer. Shockwave probably figured that one out the hard way while making calculations. He naturally walks very quietly and has a tendency to freeze up and try to stalk anything perceived as prey. He also sometimes has the urge to just get up and walk around randomly (which Ratchet also got to see when he caught him sneaking out to check on Bulkhead)

He’s learned to suppress most of the more animalistic urges around other bots. Back when he was on the Jackhammer alone he was quite literally bouncing off the walls, crawling around on the ceiling, biting the leg of his berth, etc.
