We went to an antique mall today for my birthday and look at what I found!!
The whole top floor was full of vintage toys and dolls/Barbie’s, I wanted to buy everything 😭
#monster high#the tall ghoul on the counter wasn’t for sale I wanted her so bad 😭#the one in box on the shelf was for sale but she was 250 bucks#I’m definitely going back there when I get paid they can take all my money#they also had an oddity room where I also wanted to buy everything 😭#10/10 today was a good day#the lady who worked this part of the store is also autistic/has adhd#and she said one of her hyperfixations is Barbie and dolls#I swear this woman info dumped about dolls to this girl who was looking for 80s Barbie’s#for a good 30 minutes#I wanted to talk with her so bad I’ve never seen someone else info dump about dolls before I want to be her best friend 😭#we’re going back there some time this week so maybe I’ll get to talk to her next time we go#if you live in Virginia this place is in VA beach!

the main difference btwn g1 & g3 draculaura is that g3 drac would watch barbie & oppenheimer and be a lil on the fence abt which to see first. while g1 drac would buy herself & all the ghouls brand new pink outfits despite her entire closet already being pink, count down every day until release out loud to the point it annoys all her classmates. and she would NOT know who oppenheimer is

went thrifting on Friday and found dead tired Spectra who ive been after forever and THEN went to target and found g3 Spectra!!! who my sib got for me bc they owed me money yay
is it just me or has g3 got the worst lips? like there were four or so spectras and as I scanned the faces, they were all fine except the lips were missing paint or were severely painted outside the lines. She had the best ones but even then there's still a little weirdness to it

#monster high#barbie#mermaid high#mermaze mermaidz#dollblr#dollblr poll#i cant really speak for barbie mermaids but i know every other one i tagged has flopped#im pretty sure the monster high gsr dolls didn't do well#mermaze mermaidz could have been so cool but their creepy ass eyes...#in general i find it questionable to make mermaid dolls that arent waterproof#thats probably why they dont sell well tho kids will want to play with them in water and thats a whole mess unless you have a pool#i have a mermaid high oceanna doll and i honestly love her (after i braided her hair)#but shes cheaply made and her legs are kinda fucked up so even tho i like that her tail is removable it stays on 24/7#mermaid dolls are also a nightmare to display too i imagine cuz the tails rarely have articulation#poll
