HEHE Barbara is the best and the worst and I will die on this hill until the end of time! Barbara has never let herself get into a situation so far where she couldn't stand up for herself (or others), but if ever a time did come where she couldn't do anything her new friends teammates will be there to win her battles on her behalf! And my buddy my pal, Barbara had a Reputation even BEFORE she joined the Knighthood! She was known as "the murder princess" in her local neighborhood, and that is something that's still haunting her even as a full-grown Rose

Her record bodycount was 17 before a few adults gently redirected her energy into something less murdery

Dandelion has so many rings he cycles through daily that it's very easy for Yennefer to slip a few enchanted ones in there without his notice and watch the ensuing chaos with thunderous laughter. If she also happens to enchant the ring she knows is his constant - the one he fiddles with on either his middle or ring finger - to make him immune to aging and disease, well, that's only because he's good at cheering up Ciri and looking after Geralt and has nothing to do with her own fondness for his antics. In a great way! I didn't know that about arsenic and laudanum, and now I'm even more eager for them to revisit his death and fill in some of the blanks for us. Everything on this show is so well thought out.

Ah! Good! Yeah, it’s pretty fascinating. I said it in my tags, but the laudanum just pinged for me because I wrote an essay on hysteria treatments back in university (one of my electives for my history major was the treatment of women’s maladies throughout history - it was an interesting course!)

The explicit double mention of it in the one scene felt really pointed to me too, so I’m very curious to see where they go with it.
