Imagine being told you’re on standby, so you act like you’re on standby (go home but stay near your phone and in your work clothes til a time when they definitely wouldn’t ask you to open the branch), and then…five minutes before the branch WOULD have closed, you get told that you did it wrong.
Imagine thinking that the people one level higher than you would know that the branch was closed and reach out to you for further instructions
#like…the communication TO us was then incomplete and wrong#don’t tell me I’m on standby and assume I’m gonna show up#the only reason anyone showed up was: 1) trainee for another branch didn’t get the text we did#2) banker was already on his way there#3) I assumed the trainee wouldn’t know we were closed and didn’t want her to worry/miss a day of training if she could go elsewhere#my villain origin story

#this is how today went at work if that’s any clarification#this printer was the only working printer in the branch but! crucially!#would only print two pages at a time before it would complain it had been fed the wrong sized paper#and would be on strike until the situation was fixed#hence why I’m draped over it like fucking miquella elden ring over her stupid plinth thing#anyway my manager sent this picture to IT so they would understand the gravity of the situation#and it did work my desk printer works now#also at one point I was trying to beam ‘I’m also queer as fuck’ at a couple who were there for one husband’s sister’s probate#while y’know dressed like a banker#it was just a mess all day
