Maybe I'm just a broke bitch, but anytime I see a story (usually later than the inciting incident once its been covered on YouTube) about people turning on some 'influencer' after they start selling some overpriced, typically-dropshipped, cheap nonsense, all that goes on in my mind is 'Do people not think about the bottom-line anymore?'

Because even if you end up scamming a bunch of suckers out of an initial burst of cash, once the reviews start flooding across social media about you selling shite, the returns and legal actions would have to leave you in the red.

I was so concerned about Megumi in sea glass. Then it hit me, this was after Geto. Gojo's one and only. He was already hurting, yet functioning to help. Then he finds his son, dying. I would have broken down. Gods. We don't appreciate Gojo enough ;×;

He hasn’t stopped or slept since Geto declared his war, really. He definitely hasn’t had a second’s rest since Geto died.

It’s just been too busy. They had to manage an evacuation of the biggest city on the planet when Geto declared war, as well as another evacuation of one of the biggest. Then there was the fight, killing Geto, the school being destroyed, the higher ups moving in on Yuuta, the massive curse outbreak that came in the aftermath of Geto’s war as a byproduct of the mass panic—Gojo hasn’t had a single second to sit and process Geto’s death since he had to deal the final blow.

Then there was Megumi. And the thing was that Gojo sort of hadn’t thought of Megumi and Tsumiki since he last saw them.

They were just sort of the two things that he thought were completely safe and handled. Tsumiki and Megumi were pros at managing themselves at the age of five. A week on their own as teenagers? They’d be totally fine. Sure, Megumi got into fights at school and Tsumiki had been on his ass about it lately, but those weren’t things that would ever rise to emergency level crisis.

Even with Megumi lashing out at school and Tsumiki lashing out at him back, Gojo just had absolute confidence in the fact that they wouldn’t cause any issues while he was gone? The thing about Megumi and Tsumiki is that they knew exactly which lines not to cross. He ordered them to be locked up in the house safely when Geto’s war came, and he was absolutely positive that they would listen.

He didn’t even think to worry about something like Megumi starting a taming ritual while he wasn’t there to supervise, because that was the exact kind of safety net that Megumi had never once fucked with.

His kids had a good sense of when they needed to call him. They would do it if they needed him. They were good kids with good heads on their shoulders, and they would be just fine on their own.

He had a million and one things demanding his attention, and they were supposed to be safe at home. He didn’t even think about the kids.

The thing was that Gojo’s phone number had changed, but Tsumiki’s and Megumi’s hadn’t. If he had texted them even once to check in, he would have immediately gotten a frantic text from Tsumiki about how Megumi had never come home, and what phone number is he even texting from, because the ones the assistant gave her wasn’t this one, and none of those numbers were working. He would have immediately suspected the Zenin as the ones who caused his disappearance, because the Zenin are automatically the number one suspect whenever something’s off in megumi’s world.

The Zenin didn’t make him summon the Serpent until after Geto died. If he had texted even once before that, he would have been able to save Megumi before he ended up like this.

There’s this terrible timeline in his head as to the things he could have saved Megumi from had he just checked on them. If he had texted the day of the war? He could have saved him from the Serpent, the humiliation of being dressed in front of a crowd, of part of the last time he was left fighting curses…

If he had remembered to call Megumi to wish him happy birthday, then maybe he would have discovered it the day that Megumi was taken. Maybe he could have stopped all of it.

He’s not okay right now.

I just had to share this email I got so all y'all can appreciate the absolute state of welfare services in Australia with me:

The NILs Loan Scheme is a government funded, no interest loan scheme for people on low incomes, but this leaves me wondering exactly who tf can qualify for their loans. Because it seems like if you have any symptoms of poverty it's a no.

I applied because I need the clutch replaced in my van, which I live in. It's lucky that I actually CAN afford the cost myself (due to living in a van & not participating in Australia's increasingly ridiculous housing market). I thankfully can afford such an expense these days & was just looking for a responsible financial buffer, just in case. But if this had happened to me a few years ago when I first became homeless and was far less financially stable, then my next living situation wouldn't be "affordable housing" it would be a fucking tent.

Anyway, the backwards ass state of a GOVERNMENT FUNDED welfare scheme refusing to assist those who need welfare the most because they don't want to encourage homelessness or whatever the dumb fuck? Just really rustled my jimmies tbh. Just screams "yet another govt welfare scheme that's actually just about handing out money to fake charities & not helping the poor". Good Shephard just got on the "do not donate to these grifters" list along with the Salvos😒

However Corin looks young & is short enough to maybe pass as kid trick or treating all Ellen has to do is chaperone Corin which she basically does that already ontop of that they just have to wear their work clothes people already think they’re cosplaying as some obscure anime characters when they get spotted around town

I feel like HypMic is at this weird point where they are lingering on how they want to proceed forward. I feel like the music for the 2nd DRB was very experimental, and I did appreciate that even if I didn't like all the music (except for that DragonAsh song tho that was ass LOL). It feels like KR is struggling with how to move forward with telling a story while using the voting system, as such they've kinda written themselves into a corner. Like it was obvious they wanted FP to win the 2nd DRB because it was needed for plot. But at the same time it really feels like the plot has slowed to a crawl at the same time, and between that and the music creeping away from rap you're kinda left with a feeling of disappointment overall. It esp hits harder when you're a fan of BAT and DH given how under utilized they still are in the grand scheme of things. But given how they placed them geographically it feels like yet another instance of KR accidentally writing them into a corner and struggling to rectify that so they can be more relevant but also make it make sense, idk. I still love Kuko no matter what even if the series is currently languishing. (it also doesn't help that there isn't really any unified fandom because of politics, too much content too fast, and people being so oshi-pilled they have no interest in touching content that doesn't interest them. Which again, sucks as BAT fan cuz we don't really have a translator solider for us.)

what’s really really annoying about that, is that it has been put out there that we’ve entered the third act in hypmic’s story and tho it’s not always necessarily the case, usually that means we are heading towards an end. and we are starting to see an end with a lot of og division plot threads so to be closer to the end than not and still having like a third of your cast floundering around is not good!!!!! at all lol!!!! unless there’s a max effort push to bring nagosaka into the fold, it really does feel like nagosaka, no matter what, will feel under utilised

hypmic’s slow to come plot bombs have been a staple since the beginning so i’m not mad at it, esp since i suspect those long waits have something to do with production values and making the next shiny, economically stimulating thing lol, but you’re right about it not being great rn when everything else is not great lol

but i will say hypmic has its formulas. like the way first solos were surface level character introduction raps and the second solos went into depth, for the og divisions, their first drb and preceding dramas were introductory and the 2nd drb dramas really dug deep into them. so hopefully the same will happen for nagosaka when the 3rd drb drama hits them lol 🤞
