Bastogne Mayhem with Batallion Medic Al Mampre

Al Mampre had been one of Easy Company’s medics from the very beginning in Camp Toccoa. He developed a cyst shortly before D-Day that had to be surgically removed, rendering him unable to drop into D-Day with Easy Company and the rest of the 101st Airborne. He jumped into Holland with Easy Company, newly promoted to Battalion Medic. 

"Once in Bastogne, Mampre saw MPs directing traffic through the town’s center as artillery shells rained down. Mampre arrived at an Army barracks where Brig. Gen. Anthony McAuliffe, the acting division commander, had set up headquarters. Mampre was assigned to the regimental aid station located across from McAuliffe and began receiving wounded."

"Mampre experienced the same kind of luck when an artillery shell landed in front of him outside his makeshift hospital. It hit the ground and broke apart without exploding. Mampre simply looked at it and thought, “That’s a really big shell.” Yet the incident had little effect on him. “I never thought I could have been killed,” he later said. Mampre was often impressed with the medical staff as well as the paratroopers around him. Captain “Shifty” Feiler, the dentist who often had to pay for drinks back in Toccoa, treated 1,000 wounded and frostbitten men by himself, the most in the regiment. “Winters wouldn’t go near him,” Mampre recalled. Feiler had tried to repair Winters’ teeth and ended up making them worse."

In another instance, Mampre joked with a 17-year-old English-speaking German prisoner about exchanging uniforms. Mampre would be sent back to the United States as a prisoner, he explained to the kid, and the German could return home by following the American Army into Germany. The young man thought about the offer, and then said, “Ah, the hell with you. I want to go the United States. You go to Germany.”"

Showdown Bandit "what if?"

I was recently pondering the question, what would happen if Showdown Bandit had a MULTIPLAYER?! (Well, or at least the option to play as different characters). You could play up to 4 players at the same time.

I don't think there would be an option to play as Doc Carver, because I think he is a generic medic for all the characters.

Showdown Bandit:

‌Basic Weapon: PopPistol / CorkShot / CorkGun

‌Attack Range: Long

‌Attack Speed: Medium

‌Damage: Medium

‌AOE: None

‌Bonus: Attacks have a chance to stun the enemy

We can already play as Showdown Bandit in the game, but I thought I'd clarify some gameplay points. His legendary CorkShot (or insert another name for his weapon) would deal medium damage to enemies at long range. The attack speed wouldn't be fast because of the reload. He could only attack one enemy at a time, but in return he could stun them for a while when hit in the head.

‌Showdown Bandit would be a balanced character for the game. His weapon allows for easy ranged battles, sometimes stunning enemies.

Miss Undertaker:

‌Basic Weapon: Shovel

‌Attack Range: Close

‌Attack Speed: Medium

‌Damage: Medium

‌AOE: Yes

‌Bonus: Deals increased damage to undead

I believe that Lorelei Undertaker could be a strong melee fighter. With a swing of her shovel, she would hit multiple enemies at once with her attack, dealing medium damage. She is also capable of dealing increased damage to undead, which would make her very effective, because Showdown Valley is full of them!

‌Miss Undertaker would be good at fighting crowds of enemies at close range, especially undead.

Banker:

‌Basic Weapon: Dynamite Sticks

‌Attack Range: Long

‌Attack Speed: Long

‌Damage: Large

‌AOE: Yes

‌Bonus: Explosion can also damage Banker

First of all, we should decide on the Banker's weapon. On his own poster he is illustrated holding a dynamite stick in his hand, so it could be his main weapon. He could attack enemies behind cover by throwing Dynamite Sticks at them. The damage from the explosion would be colossal, as well as in a little area that could hit multiple enemies at once. To somehow balance its destructive abilities we can assume that the explosion would also deal damage to the Banker.

‌Banker would be a strong character who could easily fight crowds of enemies, but he would have to be careful to attack enemies from afar so as not to hurt himself.

Penny Hemsworth:

Basic Weapon: Needle

‌Attack Range: Close

‌Attack Speed: Fast

‌Damage: Small

‌AOE: None

‌Bonus: Can heal both his own and his companions' strings, but this requires resources.

‌Penny is a jack of all trades. She has her own store and, judging by the needle, even knows how to sew! Then her base weapon would be a light but sharp needle, which she would use to quickly stab enemies up close. The damage would be small and only on one enemy. You would think that Penny's characteristics wouldn't allow her to fight strong enemies, making her useless? But instead, she could be a medic for the Showdown Bandit team like Doc Carver! She could heal strings for both herself and allies (if the game had multiplayer) right on the battlefield. But Doc Carver wouldn't be useless, because they repair strings in different ways - Carver for money and fast, and Penny for resources, but that would take time.

‌Penny Hemsworth would be a great support class character for the Showdown Bandit team. Her ability to repair strings at the right time would help teammates survive longer.

In the end, I would like to say that each character is unique and they could have their own "class". I decided to position the characters as if they were a one-piece team.

I'll start with Lorelai, who I would give the "Warrior" class. She always fights on the front lines, protecting her allies from behind if the enemies get too close.

Following close behind would be Penny, to which I would give the "Medic" class. Her ability to heal strings allows Miss Undertaker to fight enemies more aggressively without worrying about the number of strings. She would also heal allies behind her if they needed help.

The third member of the team would be Showdown Bandit himself, who is awarded the "Shooter" class. He would attack single enemies from a afar, sometimes stunning them, helping Miss Undertaker to finish them off.

Last would be the Banker, throwing his dynamite sticks at enemies. I would give him the "Artillery" class. The Banker goes last so that he doesn't get hit by his own dynamite, and also so that his teammates can protect him while he prepares to attack.

This is just my speculation and wishes on what I would like Showdown Bandit to be, not something official. I'd love to know what you folks think about it! 😲🔫🤠

Three-part commission by my beloved @delena-hupp of my FNAFsona/OC(s)! I'm so, so happy with how these came out, I've been looking at them every day. A little infodump:

1) Recently relocated from out-of-state (WAY out-of-state), Harlan Baxter works as overnight security for a Fazbear Entertainment storage facility. It's tiring, isolating work, but they do enjoy getting to browse through all the Bonnie memorabilia. The Bonnie line was always their favorite.

2) Bandit was a character conceived as a minor antagonist for Foxy's Wild West area of the Pizzaplex but was abandoned along with construction of the attraction. No animatronic models were ever made, only concept and key art and a cloth mascot suit buried in storage. Rumors abound on Fazbear fan forums that you can find some images of them hidden in the boarded off log flume area.

3) With no social life but plenty of bills to pay, Harlan doesn't put up a fight when they're called to cover shifts at other FE locations, including restaurants. It's typically security work, but they can be convinced with the promise of payment under the table to help with the entertainment as well. They don't normally like being the center of attention, but something about wearing a mask makes it easier, even fun. They're getting pretty attached to the Bandit jackalope suit they dug out of mothballs to wear.
