your amnesiac au makes me scream and sob and cry forever & ever do you have any thoughts or comments on it that you havent been able to share to the world yet
CRIES AS I DROP MILLIONS OF INCOMPREHENSIBLE SKETCHES FROM MY POCKETS, I HAVE SO MANY THOUGHTS I HAVE YET TO BE ABLE TO SHARE OR MAKE COHERENT
ahh i've been posting a Little out of order, as in this au smilk and pv have actually been communicating since beast yeast ep 1&2!! smilk's been haunting his ass for a while now and they had even started to become accustomed to the other, finding their similarities and behaviors easy to understand and work with.... white lily knows pure vanilla has been talking to him, but hoped the extent of those interactions was just uncomfortable threats and taunts....
she was Not happy when pure vanilla disappeared and more so when he came back with memory-less shadow milk
a lot of stuff is up in the air considering these bastards story isn't finished yet, but i think the incident leading to smilk's amnesia takes place in the time of golden cheese getting yoinked by burning spice? so while shes fighting for her life, pv is dragging a clown out of the bushes and begging for white lily to not send him immediately to the dungeons
the spell that pv hit smilk with i've decided is quite literally a baby version of smilk's attack ingame! ☝️or at least, a really fucked up version of it, pv is REALLY bad at attack magic and heh. well. now smilk's souljam is cracked and he can't seem to remember anything! though he does still retain a lot of his old knowledge, like spell creation and sciences, old folklore....... it actually unnerves him a lot, how much he knows yet knows nothing of himself
pure vanilla actually feels really guilty about attacking smilk, but he was cornered and wasn't going to last much longer healing himself over and over again. part of the reason he decided to help him and take him in! part.
pure vanilla is not very honest about his motivations in regards to shadow milk
when the ancients find out about pure vanilla (and to an extent, white lily) harboring shadow milk in the faerie kingdom, they're very... not enthused! dark cacao visits along with golden cheese to make sure they're alright and it wasn't a false letter, and almost attack smilk on sight. valid honestly.
golden cheese especially since she just finished dealing with burning spice by this point (classic pv move to take a while before admitting he has another criminal in his sleeve)
hollyberry comes to visit when its her turn with her beast (eternal sugar babygirl come home) and she's actually the only ancient to support pvs attempt at rehabilitation of shadow milk, of course after trying to beat him to a pulp a little! (pv twitches at the word rehabilitation)
hmm last thing to end this ramble, shadow milk's cracked souljam made it unusable, think of it like a dead battery
he can't access the powers it granted him, but it also means the corruption of the souljam was made null. the shadow milk of this au is corruption free and so a lot of the things he'll be told about himself is a little... jarring. terrifying maybe.
i mean... you really don't know what you're capable of until you do it, i suppose!
i'm giving everyone a morality crisis
#anon#amnesiac au#pure vanilla crk#shadow milk cookie#aaaah i rambled so much#if anyone has more questions they can send em right in ill. get to them. eventually.#sobs in my wips

The "Renfield is copaganda" claim is so funny to me because like??? I think a lot of people forgot that no one in this movie, Rebecca included, is a fucking saint???
This movie blatantly says that 99.999999% of the cops are on the take, going as far to show that Rebecca's own partner is one of them.
The one "good" cop is a traumatized mess of insubordination and anger issues that mentally shouldn't even still be working, because her entire reason for going against protocol and trying to take down the Lobos is fueled by revenge.
This movie consistently reminds you that it's own protagonist is not, has not been, and probably never fully will be a good person. It doesn't dismiss the fact that he's spent the better part of the past 100 years serving a living demon by killing the innocent for him.
Much of which, he self admittedly enjoyed because HE was getting something out of it.
Renfield's "moral high ground" is nothing more than an extension of his greed. That was one true thing Dracula said about him and it was true because it was something Dracula liked about him when they first met.
Does that mean he deserves the abuse? Absolutely not, but it also doesn't excuse his own problematic behavior.
R. M. Renfield may be a babygirl, but he is unquestionably not a good man.
Renfield:
-Knowingly joined Dracula of his own free will
-Abandoned his wife and very young child
-Has Happily murdered people for years, even still being shown to enjoy killing people he believes deserve it
-Maimed or mutilated people
-Has committed fraud, breaking and entering, theft, and various other serious crimes in the pursuit of either serving Dracula or escaping him.
All of which clearly are not deal breakers for Rebecca, despite being the allegedly "uncorrupted" cop.
Renfield is NOT Copaganda.
Renfield is a hilarious movie that literally spells out that all cops are unreliable pieces of crap that are corrupted by their own motivations, regardless of how "righteous" those motivations may seem at first glance.
Be not mistaken; No one in this movie is a good person. They weren't supposed to be.
That wasn't the point.
The point was that even people who have their own flaws are worthy of being treated well, deserve happiness, and prosperity.
Ya know, something ACTUAL victims of abuse struggle with believing constantly.
It never ceases to amaze me how some of you can take a fun movie, with a great message that it's intended target almost never gets to see, and spam it with hot button "thought" points that are not only irrelevant, but usually thinly veiled reasons you give yourselves to harass other people on the Internet.
We're tired.
Either you liked the movie or it wasn't for you.
If you didn't like it, let it go and move on so those of us who DID get something out of it can continue to benefit and grow.

I follow some people who talk about baldurs gate 3, and the way the fandom almost largely goes out of its way to babygirl everything astarion does while refusing to give the same leniency to the far less evil characters is baffling.
I feel like Gale, Wyll, and Lae'zel are the ones who often make this the most clear. Under the cut.
Whether it's because of the glitch pre console release or just a general refusal to engage with his story, people like to paint this picture of Gale being some Narcissistic abuser who is only ever power hungry. I've seen people try and justify mystra's actions. Now even if Gale was a young adult when Mystra came to him, Mystra is his goddess. She's in charge of the weave. She had so much more power over him, student/teacher and boss/underling relationships are so looked down upon because of that inherent power imbalance. And I think there's also an implication that this is relatively normal for all versions of mystra to do to younger men.
Elminster isn't free of criticism because he actively brought a young Gale to be groomed into becoming a pawn for Mystra. Gale gets discarded by mystra for his seeming ambition and wants to move on, but is also still desperate to please her in anyway he can, and she tells him to kill himself. I don't understand how people go through his plotline and see him believing the only way he's useful is dead and then just assume he's just power hungry. Is he a bit full if himself? Yes. He's a wizard. They're like that. But he's not the worst person in the world, and he's definitely not the one people should claim as the abuser in his relationship with Mystra.
People call Wyll boring, some paint this idea of him being holier than thou/looking down on everyone around him. Since he was 17 Wyll has given his whole life to protecting people and trying to be a hero. He's self sacrificial, thrown out by his father for making a pact he only made to save the city he adores. Wyll talks so much about baldurs gate. He wants to return.
Wyll has his body altered unwillingly for doing the right thing and yet he never once regrets it. He's made into a devil, the creatures so many of the npcs and companions loathe, for his kindness. He's constantly tricked and mocked by Mizora who we know from the game was sent by Zariel to corrupt a good hearted person. Even still, Wyll is a kind and honest man. He's charming and a bit cheesy but that's fine. Wyll can be incredibly self sacrificial and stubborn in his morals, but if you're running around doing mean things to impress Astarion, you can't blame Wyll for not liking your character and judging you. He's a hero of the people, of course he'd stand with them. We also need to remember he got so heavily redone that he has barely 6 hours of in-game content now. Which is abysmal compared to everyone else.
Lae'zel was raised by a cult, a cult that spans all her people where they're taught to bow and serve a lich queen who promises them glory if they're good enough. She can be harsh and unfriendly, but we need to remember she's the one most aware of what the tadpole can do and with that in mind we know she's very desperate to get things done and cure herself. Next to astarion she's the most evil aligned origins companion, and even still so much of that is due to being brainwashed into a certain belief.
Lae'zel in canon is the youngest companion, very early 20s and it often shows. She's a skilled warrior who doesn't see the need for statements that are already obvious. She's been beaten into shape and filled with ideas that unless she's perfect as the creche commands then she is worthless. She's scared and alone in act 1 with people who most likely don't care about it the same way she does. Lae'zel is imperfect like all the other companions, but if you're willing to accept that astarion is soft under all his bluster, why can't you do the same for Lae'zel?
I don't hate Astarion, I liked him a lot my first playthrough, he was my main romance. But the way the fandom ignores that he's definitely evil in act 1 and 2 because "I just don't see him that way", how people act like he's the only character in the cast who was abused when abuse and the cycles of it are the main theme of the game, how people willfully misunderstand his ascension ending and paint it as his good one when the writers state repeatedly it's not, the way the fandom will insult and demean other characters for jabbing at astarion's trauma but applaud him when he does the same exact thing, when they ignored his racism towards gnomes and gur (which is anti Romani racism repackaged). There's also a chance that in his time, Astarion was a corrupt politician, something making his death more complicated but also adding interest to it that a lot of his fans want to ignore to make him pure.
Astarion isn't perfect, none of the companions are. And they're not supposed to be. But his special treatment by fans is becoming so incredibly tiresome to see.

Finally watched death note. these are my thoughts
-it's actually hilarious that light doesn't have a corruption arc. within an episode he decides that he is god, actually, and he's going to dedicate his long life to watching the news and murdering people.
-i don't think light's meant to be representative of all of humanity being devoid of morals. i think he's a special kind of shut-in freak who exclusively exposes himself to the worst aspects of humanity by watching the news and having no friends. he would doomscroll twitter and become corrupted like saruman and his orb.
-ace attorney would have a fucking field day with him. this guy kills mostly suspected criminals who haven't even gone to trial yet.
-i actually don't think that misa is a lesbian experiencing comphet. i think she's straight and has severe attachment issues. i think she deserves to be the protagonist of a gothic romance novel with a guy who is just as obsessively in love with her as she is with him. like babygirl you have got to ditch light and find an mcr boy who dresses just as elaborately as you and then never let him go. i still think misa deserves to kill people i just also think she needs a better boyfriend than light. get you a guy to match your freak.
-the scene where light watches a woman being sexually harassed through the glass window of a convenience store is genuinely horrific because it shows you how fucked up and detached his worldview is. at no point does he think "hm, i should go outside and be so confident that no one questions it when i pretend to know that woman and usher her inside the store where it's better lit and there are more witnesses". no. he goes "damn. i guess humanity is fucked. oh well i guess i'll kill that guy."
-literally no one is forcing light to commit mass murder. he could have stopped any time he wanted. furthermore, he could have made these deaths look like accidents. he was the one who very deliberately chose to make a name for Kira and taunt his enemies.
-misa is the second kira? no, she's KiraKira☆
-after being tortured by him for 50 or so days, i think misa deserves to torture L right back. she should seduce him and lock him in her basement. for feminism.
-i dont think ive seen anyone talking about how L can pilot a helicopter flawlessly the first time and says it's just intuition. buddy.
-shout out to the gorgeous clothes misa wears. like yessss beading lace trim on your gothic lolita coord complete with headdress and rocking horse shoes get it girllll
-L being surrounded with sweets and crouching like a gargoyle could be chalked up to autism. but by the time Near comes around and starts surrounding himself with circular tracks for toy trains, we're into surrealism. like you might as well declare the platonic ideal of princehood dead and turn into a car at this point
-the ending is so fucking funny. wdym L has been amoral this entire fucking time and only took on the case because he was bored. light could have asked misa to help seduce him and then they'd be kira3 forever. like he was so obsessed with a nemesis that he didn't pause to think at ALL.
-that said. if misa needs a guy to match her freak, then maybe light and L need to be in a cartoon where they can blow each other up and be fine next episode. light cannot fucking deal with the consequences of his actions
-the death note is the ring of power in a different font because it allows you to escape responsibility for your actions

Okay I feel like I gotta talk about this because I’ve been feeling this way for a while. I like Tyler, but I feel I fall in a weird category.
I agree that the emotional beat at the end was all about Wednesday and Enid, not any of the boys. Tyler was used as a way to strengthen their relationship in the end, but I also feel like all of the characters got a backseat development wise since they had to develop Wednesday and Tyler first so that they could properly set up the story. I don’t see this as a Wednesday and Enid story, or even a Wednesday and Tyler story, I see it as a Wednesday story.
I will admit I like Tyler because he’s the most complex character on the show purely because they were forced to take the time to. Though, the person we see on the show is manipulating Wednesday 100%. It’s not really romantic, it’s most likely all manipulation. I also don’t think you can blame “Tyler” though, I don’t even think Tyler even exists really in this first season. We as the audience probably haven’t even met him.
I think in any other situation you could point to him confessing in the police station as him actually liking what he’s doing, but this world is magic. The Hyde isn’t a real illness, and it seems the Hyde personality completely corrupts the host personality no matter who it is. The most moral and amazing person could get their Hyde unlocked and they’d become a serial killer, so it’s probably not because Tyler pre-Hyde is a serial killer. There’s also the added layer that the Hyde is controlled by the person who unlocked him. Again, being that this is a supernatural world, it is completely possible that since it’s a magical bond there is literally no possible way he would not be able to do what she wanted. I feel like unbreakable magic mind control could make the person “believe” exactly what the unlocker would want them to. I understand not liking Tyler and I also think he’s a tragic villain, but the teenage boy “Tyler” probably has absolutely no autonomy behind both the magic serial killer disease and the magic brainwashing disease. I could be wrong since nothing has been confirmed, but I just think it’s odd when people think the teenaged boy Tyler would have autonomy in this situation. The only times he had a choice was when beating Xavier up, which who knows what happened with that, and when he had to “choose” to let Thornhill take him over. With Xavier, that was horrible, but we don’t know if he actually felt bad after or not. He stopped hanging out with those friends after coming back home and working at the Weathervane, which means he could’ve done that before Thornhill. Or it could mean he was bad, but there’s still a difference between that and the slew of violent murders he commits later under Thornhill. Also, I don’t think he really “consented” to being under Thornhill’s control. I don’t think he had the capacity to since they briefly depicted the horrible abuse he was suffering right before Thornhill made him submit. You still could be right, as we just don’t know right now, but I think it’s worth exploring. He’s not a babygirl (though it’s fun to joke about), he’s not completely evil, he’s somewhere in between which makes him all the more tragic. Though, it sure made him a lot more interesting.
I also don’t think Wednesday’s character is very consistent. I understand they tried to go for the “murder and torture as a form of retribution” for her, but I don’t think it works. She’s such a classic character who was created in the context of an ensemble comedy, it feels a bit like trying to fit a square peg in a circular hole. She often contradicts this, like when she says she would’ve done worse to Xavier. She kind of thought he was the Hyde at that point, but not to the extent where she’d think he should be beaten horribly. I also don’t think she would’ve been very interested in Tyler. I think the fact that he’s a serial killer makes so much sense as to why she was cool with him, since there wasn’t much else to him before that reveal. The writers are trying to keep Wednesday the princess of darkness who doesn’t have morals and loves all things dark and horrible to an extreme degree while also having her hate people who don’t have morals and love all things dark and horrible because they hurt “normal people” . They try to fit torture and murder into a moral code when you just can’t, at least not the way Wednesday feels about it. I think that’s why the Hyde likes her, not enough to actually care about what happens to her because the Hyde doesn’t have the capacity to (also magic brainwashing adds another barrier to it), but because she’s also sadistic and not afraid to show it. Tyler is just the personality traits the Hyde taps into when it wants to seem like a normal harmless person because it isn’t able to do that. Tyler the person can be a harmless good person, which is why the Hyde uses what’s left as a mask.
I honestly like Enid too much to have her have to deal with Wednesday for her whole life. She’s a good person. I do like your point though that Wednesday would like her because she is a werewolf with the ability to murder people and does if she needs to but overall a normal person. I think they could be cute together still. Though, the writers could completely prove me wrong on all of this so I guess we won’t know until future episodes, but I feel it’s worth exploring this perspective. Tyler the teenage boy could be dead for all we know, but I think it’s interesting to argue he had the ability to make any decisions during the first season.
I completely agree with you that a lot of the characters felt like they were backseated in favor of developing Wednesday and Tyler. Especially Wednesday. She is the main character of the show, of course, but I think the amount of time that Jenna Ortega was onscreen as Wednesday was an insane amount more than any of the other characters. If you really go back and watch it, characters like Enid, Bianca, and Xavier are rarely onscreen. I think that they'll hopefully change this come season 2, because they did talk about giving side characters more screentime. I'm especially hopeful for Enid, since they talked about wanting Wednesday and Enid's relationship to be the central aspect of the show. As of now, though, the show is solely about Wednesday, I agree.
I think it's fair to say that we probably haven't seen the "real" Tyler yet. Though it isn't a good look that all we know about him is he beat Xavier so badly he needed court-ordered therapy. My best guess is that Tyler pre-Hyde was a bigot anyways, likely because of his dad's views. His dad seems to have a grudge against outcasts and against outcasts from Nevermore specifically because of something that likely happened with his wife?? Other than disliking them because of Garrett's death, I have a feeling Sheriff Galpin was unsure whether Tyler was a Hyde or not and bitter towards Nevermore for not allowing Hydes because in case his son turned out to be one he'd have nowhere to contain him. I think the closest we get to Tyler's whole and uncorrupted personality was his first meeting with Wednesday in the Weathervane, since I think that was before he knew she was part of Laurel's plan. I also think that he sold Wednesday out to his past friends, because it's too convenient that they knew she would be in the parking lot with Tyler at the fair.
I see where you're coming from with the being-controlled part of the Hyde, but there's really just so little information. If I remember correctly, and I may be wrong, but there was talk of a Hyde who murdered its master in the show? I'm not completely certain, I'd have to go back and rewatch. The way I think of the Hyde is that the user can still control their own actions, it's just that once they're ordered to do something, they have to do it. I also think though, that Laurel wasn't that specific in telling Tyler to manipulate and get close to Wednesday via flirtation. I think it would have been too risky if Wednesday was turned off to the idea. I think whatever part of Tyler was left/the rest of his Hyde personality got a kick out of manipulating Wednesday. I think he could have made a conscious decision to not pursue her romantically, but he did. And he was really pushy about it too. I'm sure Laurel also didn't tell him to kill Wednesday should she somehow manage to live in the Crypt. Laurel for certain thought that she was dead. So, Tyler trying to kill her was of his own volition. I think there's not enough information about the corruption of the Hyde and not enough information about what happens to the personality of the person who is affected as a Hyde.
I do think, however, that Tyler agreed to help Laurel because of his pre-existing hatred towards outcasts. All he knew at this point was that his dad hated them for whatever reason, and he clearly followed in his father's footsteps. Whether he was actually trying to change or not, he was easily swayed by Laurel feeding him lies about outcasts because he already had a dislike for them, even before his Hyde was unlocked. I obviously don't think he consented to being tortured. I think he didn't know what he was getting into when he agreed to help her.
Anyways, moving on to Wednesday. I think that with Wednesday, her thing with saying she would have done worse to Xavier was with the annoyance that she may have been feeling towards him at that point. I mean, he had been telling her what to do without good reason, bossing her around and just expecting her to listen to what he was saying with zero proof. And he did it multiple times despite Wednesday telling him that she'd make her own discoveries and decisions. I think that's why she may have said what she said about doing worse to him. She does have her own kind of weird moral code in this, which very much includes loyalty towards those that she cares about. Which is also why I think that it would be weird if they had her just forgive Tyler for what he did after he mauled Eugene, was involved in Thing nearly being killed, and hurt Enid. This is the girl who dropped piranhas in a swimming pool because people bullied her brother. And the manipulation and making her look stupid was just the cherry on top.
Also yeah, wenclair would be cute. I just am really into grumpy x sunshine and the "looks like a cinnamon roll, could kill you" x "looksl ike they could kill you, would kill you" trope. I think that they fit that nicely and Wednesday would be into someone of the "looks good but could kill you if they REALLY wanted" type. and I think that she would appreciate that Enid doesn't kill unless necessary.
I do think your perspective is worth exploring. I think that everyone interprets things in different ways and it's interesting to see different views and explore and explain different views. To be honest, I think that whether the Hyde works in the way you propose or not, Wednesday will still have a difficult time forgiving Tyler, that is, if they don't kill him off as a redemption, which I have a feeling might happen in the later seasons, though I'm not sure how to feel about it. Anyways, yeah, I think it's worth exploring multiple viewpoints, we can all still be respectful while talking about the different ways we perceive things.

Mothman ruined everything! Hooray! And in particular, he ruined Wyll.
See, the most interesting part of this playthrough has been that the main character has been Wyll all along. Wyll is the Sherlock Holmes Corruption Arc to Mothman's John Waston Murder Spree. This poor man no longer has a functional moral compass; he really likes Mothman, despite everything, leading to moments like this:
Protest all you like, pal, but your approval rating, like Shakira's hips, doesn't lie. (I made him a wizard even though he double-sold his soul because why not, no one could stop me.)
He's so far gone. Wyll babygirl I am so sorry, I don't even know how this happened, I somehow backed you into a universe where all the druids and tieflings died in Act 1 and you still stuck around, and now here we are. Broken.
Anyway, Mothman got a neat new antenna-helmet:
He wore it to fight the Netherbrain, which gets DIRTY TRICKS in Honour Mode. The final battle was a real nail-biter, like I needed to get up and have a few deep breathing exercises afterward. I need you to see this shit, which took place on the final round, my last turn before everything would have been over but not in the way Mothman wanted:
Everybody say, "Thank you, Murderdaddy."
Because I would not have won this fight without Power Word: Kill. Especially because Mothman entered the final battle with four summonable allies, which is honestly more than I expected but not enough to do effective crowd control. I kept Gale's severed hand in my inventory all game, and looked at it sorrowfully every time something especially unfortunate happened in the battle that he could have spared me from.
Anyway, here's how we thank Murderdaddy properly:
Shadowheart's objections are very funny to me because Mothman has been nothing if not upfront about his plans. Volo fled my camp because Mothman wouldn't stop being like, "I fucking love being a Baalspawn! I'm so good at murder! I'm gonna murder everyone! :D"
You all deserve this tbh
Then I immediately created Pizzazz, the cool half-orc monk with cotton-candy hair, because if I could slog my way through Dishonour Mode making terrible pig-headed choices, surely I can play Honour Mode for real making smart ones.
#baldur's gate 3#bg3#bg3 spoilers#stealthnoodle plays bg3#video#sorry wyll#i am sorriest of all this time#i think the issue is that wyll approves of jumping straight to violence against evil creatures#and there are more of those than good ones who present a “straight-to-violence” dialogue option#so really this is about the best ending he could get#all things considered#so far pizzazz has had a very near-miss with the harpies but is still alive and well at level 4 so let's fuckin goooo

Saw your tag on the post about devotion corrupting and the absolute need for more corruption verse kicked me in the head. So may you please spare some breadcrumbs about corruption verse :looks at you with big, wet eyes:
EODNWODKW HELP I DIDNT SEE THIS UNTIL JUST NOW...
oh gods idk what to even say abt corruption verse bc i genuinely intend on writing it... Uhhh i can talk abt Grian ig!!! Grian is super fucking cool, im kinda obsessed with him and the powers i gave him in this au
Basically, Grian is an ancient trickster spirit of corrupted power-- explicitly power that corrupts. He has a LOT of it at his disposal, and a few thousand years ago he regularly made deals with people who wanted that kind of thing. New rulers, martyrs for a cause, rebellion leaders. People who were desperate enough to come looking for him and strike a deal. And if you were foolish enough to do that, he'd grant you his power.... but it would poison you slowly, twisting you into someone unfamiliar. Kings became tyrants. Martyrs became pariahs. Leaders grew harsh and were turned on by their friends. Everyone he ever gave power to met an untimely and usually very gruesome death, which was why he was ultimately sealed away by a team of powerful magick users, in a tiny artifact that was passed through generations until it was donated as an old historical trinket to the Academy of Natural Magicks.
Idk i just think he's a neat lil morally grey guy >:] i really cannot wait to write his and Scar's first meeting bc its SOOOOO good.. thats gonna be such a fun encounter. But yeah in case your wondering, Scar and Grian did end up striking a deal prior to a little victimless crime, but Scar knew abt the effects up front and didnt care, which is why Grian thinks he's the most interesting guy on the planet. Thats his babygirl and he is soso mad the Academy hurt him<3 rip to them bc the both of them are abt to watch the world burn

i know youre focusing on Kuron in this au, but how's Hunk doing?(propably not great)
I am so sorry this is so late! Anyway Hunk my little guy, my precious babygirl!! I admit i dont have a LOT for him either orz but i do have some ideas!
Hunk has gotten into coalition as a member to try and support the cause and is.... going through it. Like technically speaking he's the one who is getting shit done. Hunk at the start was doing his whole catering thing or whatever it was he was reduced to, but the thing is when you are working this close to politicians and are also as snoopy as Hunk, you kinda learn a thing or two through gossip and Hunk did not like what he learnt at all. There are corrupt politicians and capitalists wanting to do corrupt politicians and capitalist things in coalition.
That was few months (maybe even a year or two) before the present. At first Hunk didnt want to get involved in this. For starters he trusted Shiro and other coalition members to deal with it, and he was Very happy with where he is and what he is doing and is Totally ok with just standing at the side letting things sought themselves out. He is Fine! It is Fine! The Coalition doesnt Need him to jump in and Fix and Micromanage Everything and he Doesnt Need to get involved at all! He'll absolutely Mind his own business! Definately!!!
Anyway so Hunk does get involve in this because he absolutely can not mind his own business and he can not just stand back cause people's life are on the line and while coalition says it doesnt need Hunk's help or him to micromanage everything (lies) that is what he's going to be damn well doing.
Hunk gets into diplomacy and he's fighting to be taken seriously (because those coalition vids turning him into a joke did not help. Thanks Coran/sarcasm) and trying to lead. And as he's being involved the more he realizes he needs to be prepared to do anything for the goals, including playing dirty. So sometimes he has to fight to be taken seriously but other times he doesnt because it is better if people especially his enemies underestimate him. And if it means he has to work harder, mediate, lie, manipulate, and find dirt on others he will do it. He is not happy about what others think of him and the slippery morals involved in this and he never really wanted to even be involved in coalition or the war but if he has to he will do it. Because if he doesnt who else will?
So Hunk just compartmentalizing all his feelings and everything, like just putting a neat little carpet over on his on-fire garbage mental stability. Haha nothing to see here! And Lance's running away and coma and Kuron Shiro thing doesnt help at all, he has pushed all of his worry away and is just under a lot of pressure and about ready to snap. He thinks Shiro's being a little bitch, he does not trust Kuron, he doesnt understand why Lance did whatever he did and yes he hadnt talked to him in a while but he assumed Lance would have been just fine.
So in conclusion, no he is not doing great
#Again i am so sorry this is so late. I have been in a bit of not feeling it#I am going to probably redo most of this considering it feels so ooc even involving my interpretation of Hunk but this is the basic gist#i support Hunks rights. Hunks rights to fucking snap#hunk garrett#hunk voltron#voltron hunk#voltron legendary defender#voltron#vld#post s8 au#empty thoughts#empty answers#I think i could have answered this better#But basically Hunk is in his 'Ends justify means' era

Who is the most babygirl in Bungou Bungou? -Pookie <3
You’re getting a long winded answer to this, so lets go through the contestants
Warning! Slight BSD Manga and Anime spoilers
We’re only using ADA and PM characters for this for the sake of my sanity. We’ll go through a quick rundown to eliminate some of the people from the running based on the following criteria. Remember, babygirl is a state of mind and has nothing to do with gender or age, instead a babygirl usually has these contributing factors
- morals
- cat attributes
- bloodied
- tragic
- tired
Now for the characters who are not babygirl
- Kenji
- Kyouka
- Oda
- Mori
- Tanizaki
- Naomi
- Kunikida
- Gin
- Kouyou
- Motojiro
- Q
- Hirotsu
And for our runners :
- Dazai
- Atsushi
- Chuuya
- Ranpo
- Akutagawa
- Tachihara
- Yosano
- Fukuzawa
To thin out the running we’ll go through our criteria for each of these characters and why they are or are not babygirl enough for our purposes. We’ll pick the three top babygirl characters and move from there.
Dazai fits our criteria almost to a T. He’s strange and unsettling, he’s morally (dark) grey, he does the asshole cat smirk, and he’s tragic. In the manga and the show he doesn’t get bloodied very often, and he isn’t shown to be tired in the way that really makes or breaks a babygirl character
Atsushi is lower on my list than I’d like to admit, as I love him dearly and he’s my babygirl at heart. He gets bloodied often (and he looks great doing it, might I add) but where the evil would exist in a babygirl character he’s pathetic instead, which is a babyboy character trait. He has plenty of cat attributes and he’s plenty tragic, though I wouldn’t say he’s tired in the babygirl way. (Side note, Beast!Atsushi is DEFINITELY the winner of the babygirl category for me, but we’re focusing on the main story here)
Chuuya has got a lot going for him in the babygirl categories. He’s a little bit evil, at the very least morally grey, he’s tragic, and he’s only just barely earned his babygirl-tired title. He’s unfortunately lacking in cat attributes, and though he doesn’t get bloodied as much as I’d like for my purposes the use of corruption fills that slot.
Ranpo is a grey area for me in terms of babygirl-ness. He isn’t bloodied often (a running theme with the smarter of the babygirls) but he does have the cat smirk that Dazai has which gives him cat attributes. He’s morally grey, and he’s relatively tragic (though, compared to some of the other babygirls not so much). He’s not babygirl tired, either.
Akutagawa is really up there for me in these criteria. He’s morally grey, deeply tragic, and the epitome of babygirl tired. He gets bloodied pretty often which is so great for my purposes, but he’s lacking in cat attributes in canon. You can argue for fanon a lot but the most canon attributes he has is that he’s aloof even if he likes you.
Tachihara is one of my personal babygirl takes, he’s relatively tragic and he’s morally (light) grey (and he’s a double agent which is like the most babygirl thing ever). He doesn’t have any cat attributes and he’s not babygirl tired but he does get a little bloodied but only once which is pushing it for the babygirl scale
Yosano is so real and amazing and beautiful and perfect. Shes morally grey which is part of her being tragic, she gets bloodied often (part of her ability) which is so great. She isnt a super cat-like character and she’s not babygirl tired but she is a secret third thing (my favorite character in the series) which bumps her up a little bit.
Fukuzawa has the extra babygirl treat of having seventeen kids. He isn’t the babygirl level of tragic that I usually look for but he is the embodiment of babygirl levels of tired so he has that going for him. He’s pretty morally grey and he has what I like to call “old street cat” attributes, but we don’t see him bloodied often.
Based off these analyses I’ve narrowed it down to the following characters :
- Atsushi
- Dazai
- Yosano
From this running now I’ll be looking at how they look and how they act. This includes fashion choices, hair choices, and how they treat the people around them.
Atsushi definitely dresses the most like a babygirl. He wears suspenders on top of a white button down with a tie and NO VEST. And he’s got the stupid flood pants with the flared boots, he just makes horrendous fashion choices which is so babygirl of him. Not to mention the atrocious haircut, horrible really. However the way he interacts with people (outside of Akutagawa, of course) is more babyboy than it is babygirl.
Dazai is just on the cusp of babygirl clothing. The bandages really add to his look, but what really makes it for me is the full trenchcoat in all weather. Babygirl behavior. The way he interacts with others is also very babygirl, seeing as he’s an ass and I want to beat him to death and also hold him gently in my hands (the typical reaction to babygirl character).
Yosano doesn’t dress babygirl pretty much at all (she dresses relatively boring and they should have given her more because she deserves it) but the way she interacts with others is so very babygirl its nuts. Absolutely bonkers.
FINAL ANSWER THAT YOU’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR : The most babygirl character in all of Bungou Stray Dogs is the one and only Dazai Osamu. He’s the perfect balance on most babygirl scales as well as personality, social interactions, and clothing choices.
If you actually read all this thank you and drink some water or something idk

I mean here's the thing.
I like Gale, I like his brand of autism.
I go to find fics featuring Gale and a lot of them portray him just.. so bland. Like he's become the default stand-in for This Man Is The NICE One like he's very sane and vanilla but listen. listen. he aspires to godhood. he is tempted by power even after being corrupted by power in a very literal, physical way.
sure, nervous silly man with puppydog eyes who is a huge nerd and desperate to impress the people around him, obviously.
but also? the fucking hubris. the audacity of this man. one of the first things he tells you is a story about a wizard who aspired to godhood and literally broke magic and destroyed a god and failed spectacularly all around. and says yeah that's where hubris will get you.
and then. after that fucking conversation with mystra. he turns around and goes. okay you know what sounds good to me. defying mystra and becoming a god. NO! babygirl you are unhinged. you are a really smart stupid man. the second ultimate power is on the table he loses all rationality and perspective. typical fucking wizard!
good intentions. aaalways good intentions with this man. clever enough to justify anything to himself. his morals are certainly not unshakeable.

I'm playing Wolf among us and idk if you know about this game or its main characters but Sea as lonely wolf kind of character who survives on one pack of cigarettes and glass of whiskey a day and needs to control his inner beast who is a detective and Jimmy as overly competent deputy measure/secretary and a babygirl and i need him to wear glasses for this role. He and Sea meet a lot and their relationship is complicated because on one hand they clearly could be friends and they feel comfortable with each other and on other hand they have different morals and Jimmy is careerist and naive although he was betrayed in the past and Sea is so lonely but he is always literally always in trouble because of his work and his reputation (he did bad things in the past and the whole town is kinda scared of him). And they just understand each other so well even if they don't agree with each other's choices. And when shit hits the fan and some kind of mafia complicates their lives and bureaucrats steal and the residents of the city complain only the two of them remain against the whole world. I won't even say anything about noir atmosphere and possible desperate and angsty and smoking hot sex that could happen between them. Do you see the vision Monica?
NOT ONLY IM SEEING THE VISION ANON IM ALSO VERY MUCH EMBRACING THE VISION. IM ACTUALLY MARRYING THAT VISION AND MAKING SWEET SWEET LOVE TO IT
....that sounded less creepy in my head BUT THE POINT IS!!!!!!! THIS IS SO GOOD IM CURRENTLY HAVING THE FIFTH BREAKDOWN OF THE DAY ABOUT IT. im actually not familiar with wolf among us so i read up a little about it and it's definitely something i could be really into (i LOVE folk tales and any of their subsequent retellings), and i'd actually think it would be amazing to have a show that also keeps the supernatural aspects, but even without them THE BASE IDEA FOR A JIMMYSEA SERIES IS - PARDON MY FRENCH - FUCKING INCREDIBLE
LIKE!!!!!!! sea as a reformed criminal now working as a detective would be SO GOOD, he would absolutely NAIL the dark brooding type who actually has a heart of gold underneath his gruff exterior!!!! and i gotta be honest, im not sure what a deputy mayor does exactly, so how about jimmy as a lawyer aiming to become a judge because he believes law is the only way to ensure justice and that's why he often argues with sea, because unlike him sea believes the entire system is corrupted and that the law not always helps the innocents. even if they are so different, though, they somehow work together really well and get along better than anyone would expect. when jimmy first moved into town pretty much everyone told him to stay away from sea because of his reputation, but jimmy was never one to judge a book by its cover so he started to approach sea multiple times and despite sea's better judgement he found himself enjoying jimmy's company
and they're not exactly friends but they're also more than colleagues AND THERE WOULD BE SO MUCH TENSION BETWEEN THEM BUT THEY DON'T EVEN REALIZE IT OR MAYBE THEY DON'T WANT TO REALIZE IT BECAUSE THEY BOTH HAVE ISSUES AND DON'T WANT TO RUIN WHAT THEY HAVE until eventually they get involved in a big case where like you said it's basically just the two of them against the world and sea gets injured while protecting jimmy which is what finally makes them admit their feelings because they can't lose each other and AND [IMPLODES]
THIS WOULD BE SO DELICIOUS AND JIMMY WITH GLASSES WOULD BE SO HOT PLEASE IM LITERALLY ON MY KNEES FROTHING AT THE MOUTH I WANT IT SO BADLY
#BRB DIALING P'X UP AND PITCHING THIS TO HIM#HE LOVES JIMMYSEA SO MUCH I KNOW HE WANTS TO WORK WITH THEM AGAIN AND WOULD GIVE THIS CONCEPT JUSTICE#also for some reason i keep imagining sea wearing suits but with something over the top always added to it#like the fur jacket he wore for the gmmtv 2023 event#ANYWAY THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS WITH ME ANON THE BRAINROT IS SO REAL IM CLAWING AT THE WALLS OF MY ENCLOSURE#jimmysea#bl wishlist#m: ask

i love how everyones all "im soooo self aware and my critical thinking skills are very epic" and then will claim they could use a Death note w/o being corrupted by its influence
"no one should have the power or right to kill other people, especially not the government or the criminal system. however, MY judgment, perception, and intuition are objective, and my opinions are purely reflective of reality and im above outside influence or manipulation"
babygirl ur implicit belief in the accuracy of ur perception and ur moral superiority over others is precisely what proves the fact that even the tiniest crumb of power and authority would turn you into a villainous tyrant who'd use their powers to enforce personal agendas above all else. youd be sentencing ppl to death based on vibes and moods, and in the face of criticism, youd surround yourself w/ hordes of rabid yes-men so that youd never have to spend even a second critically examining your actions or intentions. you are proof that if we are created in God's image, and if God is somewhat human in turn, then he cannot be both powerful and entirely benevolent
