Regina blinked as she watched Heket suddenly freeze. The frog was holding the pan in her hand and was in the middle of cooking beetroot when she stopped abruptly, all four eyes wide and unblinking staring into the distance. "Heket?" the ferret called out tentatively. No reply. "Heket? Are you alright, sweetie?" the furred hand reached for the pan, gently taking it away from the frog's grip. That's when Heket finally turned to face her. "The... Baby...!" "The baby, what baby?" "THE... BABY!" Heket leapt away, leaving the kitchen in the middle of the lunchtime rush. They would complain later, but her hunch was too strong, the feeling in her stomach too powerful to ignore! She ran through the whole cult, like a woman possessed, and reached Leshy and Tharen's house banging loudly at the door! When Tharen opened up, he blinked in surprise as he saw the ex-bishop of famine with short breath, panting. "Where... the... baby?"

A loud screech came from inside. A shrilling little voice crying out among the distinct cracking of an egg. ------
