This chapter has stuff I came up with in like, November 2021?? I’ve been looking forward to writing this getaway and what happens there for literal years, so it was important to me to get it done right. Like, it was one of those scenes I build a whole ass plot around and then was obsessing over for ages, whilst I had to write the whole build up.

However, what came out isn’t at all what I had planned and even the initial plan for this chapter all went to shit cause it just wouldn’t happen. There wasn’t supposed to be a fight, that just kind of happened and then was approved by Yaz hahahah. What I originally had planned as the big moment will still happen in ch28 (I hope), it will just have slightly different vibes.

I’m really glad you enjoyed it, honestly melts my heart knowing people still care about my silly little universe. And especially now that I’m loaded with psych drugs and it feels like I have a constant brain fog when it comes to writing, it’s good to now others still like it. Jatay is surprisingly least dangerous because of the way the virus shaped him, however he does give you good scares and sometimes mentally plotting your death.

Varai has antlers, even in his regular form. He also loves pets and drawing. Varai had some thoughts of shrinking you to put you in a jar so maybe you wouldn’t try to escape, also please be careful what you say to him.

They have two forms their “regular” form and cryptid form, their regular form has this analog horror uncanny valley feeling to them which fun fact they are, basically they look like someone took a random photo a of person and customized it to look like their character like analog horror creators sometimes do for their characters.

I saw the mermaid AU and got an idea. I didn’t know that the person behind the AU was going to add to it. I’m glad they did because it’s great! I don’t know what this would be, but I wrote something and I’m going to share it. (It sadly has less hypnosis than what actually happened, but it still hints at a future polycule.)

When Mumbo saw Cub leave the house, it wasn’t the first time Cub had left in the middle of the night. Months ago, as Cub was collecting some water samples, he heard a song. Cub is a scientist, he’s curious, he quietly follows the sound. The small town had an old folktale about a mer, who wanted to see grass up close, and a man, who brought him some grass growing in dirt. The mer rewarded him by luring lots of fish to the coast, then other people moved in and that’s the origin of the town. Cub never put any stock into the folktale, but here’s this creature that he could only describe as some sort of mermaid or siren. Shining green eyes, green gills, and scars that looked like they came from propellers. Anyways, Cub and the mer, Scar, end up talking to each other on a regular basis. Scar sings to let Cub know that he’s outside. Cub is tired, but it’s worth it. He talks about his mustachioed partner, their work, and the town. Scar talks about his home, his friends, and the fish. He even shows Cub his pet sea catfish (yes there’s jellyfish, but there are also salt water catfish and catfish puns). They are falling in love. Scar’s friend, Grian, gets concerned because Scar has a tendency to get too close to humans and their boats and their garbage. So Grian checks out Scar’s new friend and learns that Cub and Mumbo are actually nice (they pick trash off of the beach, they don’t scare the wildlife) and incredibly good looking. So Grian hangs out with Scar and Cub sometimes.

2. Where Do You Go – Flor

we weren’t supposed to have any of this. mari’s frozen where alma’s curled and purring around her, stretching out and grinning up at luz, blue eyes sparkling. there’s low whale noises mixed with some sort of poppy song luz hasn’t ever heard spilling in from the kitchen, where gus and king have gotten into dj-ing with some of eda’s human things she’s letting them use.

and luz is here and amity is here too and it’s all—

we weren’t, luz agrees, and amity offers her a hand and she takes it, bouncing on her feet, wearing literally an outfit that is half-pajama, and amity’s still blushing, and so is SHE, and, mari, don’t be scared, don’t you see? we have this now!

3. Wake up – Eden

she offers him a hand.

“what.” hunter stares at it flatly. he’s been lying on her couch since he regained the ability to be in his body, all curled into himself with flapjack sprawled over him, heavy and crushing.

“it really sucked,” luz says. she doesn’t pull her hand away. mari’s perched on her shoulder as an owl, talons sliding down like they’re reaching for hunter. “all of that. didn’t it?”

hunter says, “sure. but—”

“and i dunno what to do with any of it,” says luz. “but you were there, too. and—and i don’t know. maybe you aren’t comfortable. maybe i’m not, or i shouldn’t be. but there was nobody else there but us two. and that has to mean something.”

flapjack lifts his head and hunter misses the added weight of it, but in return flapjack presses love you into hunter’s back with a paw, curling claws that scrape gentle against his back, and it’s stupid, and weak, but hunter needs it anyways.

“okay,” hunter says. flapjack presses his nose to luz’s hand. mari flutters down to take up position on hunter’s head, her talons knotting in his hair.

it should feel weird. bad. like something. that’s how it goes, isn’t it? daemon, palisman, whichever—they touch a human or a witch, and it’s overwhelming.

but hunter’s not any of those things, is he?

DISCUSSION

lets play a game called 'how much of this is still canon' lol. i think the answer is...not a lot! its really fun to see how much things have changed.

1: this is post hollow mind! ive always wanted hunter to stay at the owl house after it, 'cause for Reasons its after hollow mind he finds out hes more like a daemon--and since flapjack refuses to leave when hunter runs they sort of just pass out lol.

its so weird to see flapjack have dialogue!! flapjack has always been a silent character but originally i think i was going to let him sign...that sure has changed! as for Why he doesnt talk. (stares at most daemon aus) yeah i have some things im going to end up saying.

2: lumity!! awww there's not too many of them dnfgdfg and i dont have a whole lot to say on this one. i will say tho that lumity happens differently in the daemon au! i told myself that it happens when it feels right, which turned out to be in very different circumstances than in canon! but i like where it ended up.

luz and mari are doing so bad yall...its so funny to see luz this happy right now she is um. not <3 she n mari go the fuck through it and yes even their relationship with amity is hit by that, though things do look up.

3: oh my GOD this is super early post hollow mind stuff...the entire idea for this au was born with hollow mind and snowballed from there so no WONDER i was writing it first.

none of this is still canon. hunter probably wont regain the ability to change his forms for a LONG while after hollow mind. partly bc Trauma partly bc i like writing him as a bird :) yes this au is being written by a bird thank for for noticing.

also! wow this is from when i was going to send all four of them into belos's mind lol. i decided that mind magic works where only daemons/palismen go in--so hollow mind is actually just hunter and mari, which is great, because, while luz and flapjack get along pretty well, hunter and mari fucking hate each other until they're bonded by the events of hollow mind. sort of hard to hate each other after that.

i loveee myself a little angst. originally i wasn’t going to include any and just make this a cute love story (with no leaked tape) but the angst started calling my name and i simply couldn’t tell it no.

i tried to imply it but after the scandal they don’t talk for a while! i think reader is mad (at both of them for being stupid) and also pretty scared of what’s coming up next. i think patrick is used to a scandal so he’s less shellshocked but he’s also pretty shaken up by reader’s reaction (bc he doesn’t want her to be sad AND he doesn’t want her to be mad at him!) so i think that first conversation would definitely be something.

even though they don’t talk, i feel like reader and patrick would probably still look each other up (and when they’re feeling crazy look up posts about the infamous tape) to see what people are saying, how they’re doing, etc. i do think that it makes the situation SLIGHTLY better to them that people saw the tape and are like “awww they’re in love” instead of “ohhh they fuck nasty!”

also… imagine for a second that this fic is from the perspective of patrick or reader reading all of these posts while they’re coming out from like a burner account 🤭

anyway. i’m my head, patrick reaches out to her once she goes on a date with her ex-bf. his dramatic ass probably stormed to her apartment and was like you don’t even want him and they argued a bit before falling into bed and reuniting the way they’ve wanted to since the tape dropped.

i really do think they would pick right back up from where they left off (hence the engagement) and be so in love and very much like “why did we even break up in the first place??” i think eventually they learn to laugh about the tape even though it is very embarrassing. they’re never going to live it down but at least they have each other!!

Former tennis star Patrick Zweig and up-and-coming actress cozy up at intimate dinner

On Friday, the pair grabbed Italian at a notoriously hard-to-get-into restaurant. The couple shared dishes and drinks and seemed to be enjoying each other’s company. 

Zweig, 29, recently retired after a season that ended in injury. His retirement came after a series of scandals, most notably being a risqué leak of his camera roll. 

At 29 herself, she is coming off the heels of a very busy award season. Taking home her first Best Actress Emmy and BAFTA awards, she also recently received her second ensemble cast award.

The two seem to be an interesting pair, having finished wrapping a movie they were both working on in late October. The unlikely friendship comes on the heels of murmurs about a potential relationship.

“They’ve been enjoying their newfound friendship. It's rare for her to find someone with similar life experiences that she can genuinely bond with,” an insider told us. 

We have to wonder what they discussed over dinner.

I have a friend who works for the production side of one of those really big entertainment magazines who does those roundtable for actors who are in talks for receiving awards. His girlfriend was just in one, and my friend told me that he was there and super supportive the whole time. An hour later, it had begun to get colder. You held Eddie’s hand as he tugged you through a pile of damp, dead leaves. It was almost midnight, and as you looked up toward the inky sky, you could see the silhouettes of bats flying over the bare trees above. The branches swung above your heads like claws, shaking in the wind, violently attempting to grab at you. Suddenly — a few thuds could be heard off in the distance. You whined immediately and grabbed onto Eddie's arm. He brought you in closer and shone his (very dim) flashlight in that direction. Nothing to be seen. Yet the two of you felt something there… a presence of a sort.

“Eddie. I’m scared!!” you shriek, as you look up at your boyfriend, still concentrating to find where the noise came from. “Be brave for me baby. Be brave for me, sweet thing,” he tuts, as he runs his hands through your hair.

“Looks like we found our big bad monster. Legend has it that we got a wendigo in these woods…” he trails off. He shines the flashlight forward and the two of you keep walking. After a bit of thinking, you tug on his jacket sleeve and look up at him. “Eds.” “Hmm?” he looks up with his eyebrow raised. “What’s a wendigo?”

He chuckles. He loved it when he had to explain things to you. He wasn’t sure why, but it made him feel nice. “Well, baby, a wendigo is a type of monster, a cryptid, found in the North-American wilderness. It’s 15 feet tall. It has a skeleton head of some kind of deer, and a werewolf-like body. It waits in the woods, it hides, stalking its victims. And then, once it finds them, it drags them back to its cave of origin. And it eats their flesh. Skins them alive.” He spoke in his dungeon master voice now. You looked back up at him, completely terrified. To your surprise, he was laughing a bit.

He grabbed your shoulders and pulled you in towards his chest. “Aww. Is my baby all scared now?” he starts to mock. “No Eds.” You lied. You were actually terrified. “I’m being brave,” you say instead, not wanting to tell him the truth. “Good girl,” he smirks, and presses a few wet kisses to your forehead. The two of you keep walking on, until he decides to randomly grab you, and pin you up against a tree. “Eds…” you start. “These woods are scary, and it’s cold! What if the Wendigo is here? I might get my clothes dirty.”

He chuckles and presses a kiss to your cheek. “Don’t worry, princess. We can wash those clothes of yours. And if that cryptid is here, you got your big, strong, dungeon master to protect you,” he laughs, and does a little bow. “Maybe I’ll cast a little spell on him. But honestly, sweets, you’re the one casting spells here. Because you’re fucking irresistible,” he says, as he starts trailing kisses down your neck. His hand runs over your skin, tracing your chest a bit. “How about this deal, sweetheart. I protect you from the big, bad, monster, and in return, you let me eat that sweet pussy of yours,” he purrs at you. Even though it was dark, you could see it in his eyes. He was looking at you as if he wanted to devour you. Which he did. You didn’t mind.

I held off on watching the new vampire academy tv show because a lot of people (at least on my timeline) were saying it was boring and not much was happening. But boy were they wrong. I watched all five episodes and this is everything I ever wanted in a show. There’s chemistry, a lot of romance tropes, friendship, and etc.

I admit, I was hesitant about a new cast just because I loved the original cast members but to be honest this cast is so superior!!

Lissa and Rose friendship is so beautiful and the fact that they would do anything for each other. As much as I love all the other characters in the show, these two are my favorites.

Whoever did the casting for this show needs a raise, because all the characters got chemistry!!!

Rose and Dimitri?! A very hot couple who at this point flirt in front of everyone lol, they had me screaming at the screen so many times to kiss!!! I’m pretty sure when they finally do I’m gonna yell the whole time. He cares so much for her, pushes her to do better, and is always being rational. Did I mention these two people are hot and their chemistry is just on a whole other level?

With the whole Rose and Dimitri thing, I can’t help but feel bad for Mason just because it’s clear to everyone that Mason is in love with Rose and Rose is literally the only one who doesn’t see that. I don’t consider this a love triangle at all just because Rose clearly sees him as a friend who she occasionally kisses. If he’s not going to get a fair shot with her romantically, then I hope we see a good friendship there. When he told Rose, “what would Lissa say” I was like AWWW

Lissa and Christian, when he called her a unicorn?! <3 and how much he is helping her with figuring her power out! He really likes her, cares what she think, and is always helping her out. BUT, I would not be surprised if the writers push for a whole Lissa and Jesse thing because of the whole marriage to get her seat back. I wouldn’t mind Lissa being in a love triangle. Jesse has been a unlikeable character for me so far but a marriage of convenience trope? I’m a sucker for that ngl lol.

Mia and Meredith, when Meredith said “look so she can be nice” after witnessing the interaction between Mia and Sonya was so cute. Can tell Meredith was so into Mia when she first seen her and Mia was intrigued by her. I hope to see more scenes between them in the future :)

Sonya and Mikhail!! Omg when he said he had a date to get to, I just knew he was going to die and I wish they didn’t do it just because this couple was perfect and Sonya was so happy. Seriously, our girl been through a lot and deserved him just as much as he deserved her. That last scene of her in episode five scared me, but am glad it didn’t end the way I thought it would for her and am curious to see what the writers have in store for her.

Again, I can rant about everyone on this show because they are so well written and great but I wanted to focus on my favorite couples. I do have some criticism regarding this show, and that is just more music please lol. I know it may seem dumb but this show could have more music on it :) okokok byeeeee <3

he’s one of those minimal effort kinds of people so he always does just what is required and never more

yet somehow always gets like very decent grades and is apparently like the perfect example

he wasn’t going to pick a minor he was just going to stick with the acting major but then he had a reality check and was like ‘what if this acting thing doesn’t work out’

but the quite part can’t really happen since girls wanna swoon over him every 5 seconds

anyway you also recently got a job at the cute cafe

then you had literally all of your worst and least favorite classes after that

and you even forgot your homework for a class where the teacher was totally not understanding

and to top it all off you forgot you even had work today so when your roommate said why aren’t you getting ready for work you almost broke down right then and there

so you get ready bc you can’t cancel on such short notice and you grab your bag and go to work

the main reason you didn’t wanna go to work today was because you had a big essay to finish up and you wanted to stay and do that but you also need that dough

you walk into work looking oh so beautiful (aka you look like you got hit by a train)

and sunghoon notices you don’t really seem the best right now but he also doesn’t ask bc he what if it was something personal (also he thought you looked kind of scary like that butajkdja)

luckily it was really slow that day (besides for those damn girls flirting with sunghoon) so you sat in the back and started your essay

but you were so tired that you fell asleep in the middle of it

and sunghoon notices (obviously bc you’re not making the one order they got since like the past hour)

but he doesn’t have the heart to wake you up

you looked so tired and this seemed like all you needed

so he made the coffee

and took the orders

and did everything that needed to be done so you can sleep (awww)

you finally wake up and it’s like 15 minutes till closing

and you’re like ‘screw my essay did sunghoon do all of this shit without me’

you honestly can’t tell if you’re grateful that he let you sleep or mad that he didn’t wake you up to help (you decided it was the second one-)

so you go to the front to see sunghoon just cleaning up the coffee machines

and you just straight up go “why didn’t you wake me up”

which scared the shit out of him for multiple reasons

one you’re a little scary in general and your stern voice wasn’t helping

and two when tf did you wake up are you a ghost or smthg

after that you can’t really be mad at him bc aww he cares abt you

You were almost as old as the Mikaelsons as they found you a year old vampire scared and alone. Rebekah and Kol wanted to take you into their little group while Finn said to kill you. But both Elijah and Klaus agreed with Kol and Rebekah.

Elijah took sole responsibility of you when he learned it was Tristan who turned you against your will as it made Elijah feel guilty about you been turned against your will. You told Elijah you didn't blame him for what Tristan had done to you nor Klaus and Rebekah when they learned how the first Sired slaughtered your whole village.

Over the years you stayed with the Mikaelsons taking care of them and became their most trusted friend if you could still be called that as the line blurred over the years.

"Your really good with her." Camille said as you placed Hope to bed and you smiled gently. When you learned of the pregnancy you right away began to care for both Hayley and Hope. It was to the point to where Hayley saw you as a mother figure as you made sure she and Hope was taken care for.

"Well I had been taking care of three children already." You tell her tone teasing as Camille let out a soft laugh. You both sat in the living room sipping on wine waiting for the Mikaelsons to return home.

Camille noticed how you would care for the siblings. Camille could see why the Mikaelsons took you into their family with your motherly aura and sweet nature. You wouldn't have made it on your own and in taking you in they had some form of a reminder of humanity.

"We're back mom." Kol joked walking over kissing your cheek while Rebekah took her heels off cuddling you on the couch. Elijah smiled gently kissing your forehead as Klaus took up the spot next to you.

"Did the meeting go well?" You asked running your fingers though Rebekah's hair as Hayley walked over hugging you then went to see Hope.

"Niklaus and Kol behaved when I threaten to tell you of their behavior. But we may have progress with the witches." Elijah says removing his suit jacket and tie while Camille was amazed how easily the Originals relaxed around you.

"That is good."

"Quiet night for you and Camille?" Kol asked sitting on the floor laying his head on your lap. Rebekah had fell asleep while Klaus was on his way to fall asleep.

"Yes Hope was a sweetheart."

"Good to know. Thanks for watching her Y/N." Hayley says as you smiled at her kissing her head when she leaning down hugging you. And the family settled down letting your calm motherly aura wash over them as you hummed soft tune lulling them to sleep. Camille watched getting more insight into just how motherly you really were.

[Author’s note: So this is kinda a sample thing. I’m just seeing if I get a feel for it. Since this feature’s a lot of Mime Bomb outside of VILE I will have to make some personal headcanons for him for the sake of this story. First thingy: I decided I would his real name Gailen, it means “the one who is peaceful and quiet” so I thought the name matched him. I’m not sure if this will be finale or something that I continue writing but enjoy!]

     “There’s something about them Lori, I don’t trust it.” Loraine put a hand on her husband’s shoulder, shifting her weight on him. “Alfred please you can’t be skeptical of everyone who moves in. You scare the whole neighborhood…” She lightly tugged on his arm. “Instead of stalking them from the window let’s go say hello!” The man grumbled out something unintelligible yet he got up from his chair and from the window to the door. 

Life felt odd now. If felt not to be in your outfit all the time or called by your code name 24/7. You can tell this was taken a huge toll on Gailen. It felt weird to call him that besides…Mime Bomb. Of course you called him by his name even before this happened but that was only when you two were alone. You felt bad for your boyfriend, you could tell he felt uncomfortable without having his normal makeup on but it wasn’t safe for him to have it on. He would be found suspicious, that was something that couldn’t be risked in this point in time.

It was sweet. He didn’t like being outside for too long, especially like this yet he still sat on the porch while you were watering the succulents and putting up the humming bird feeder. You went up to him, letting him have a sip of your water. “You don’t have to stay outside Mime Bae.” You whispered that corny nickname to him. It was originally a joke that somehow stuck. He shook his head. He kissed the palm of his hand then lightly patted your forehead with it, causing you to giggle. An accomplishment in his book. “Alright if you insist.” You turned back to where the succulents were planted and picked up a large rock. It was a grayish purple color with some yellow spots on it. Some may think it’s weird but collecting rocks was a fun! You get to appreciate bits of the earth that won’t cause damage if you have it in a jar. Ooh if you could find a large, flat, light colored rock you and Gailen could write your initials on it! It was basic but you didn’t care. 

“Excuse me.” You looked over at the man in a navy blue uniform with a badge and clunky black belt. Your whole body tensed  up yet all you could think about was your boyfriend. If this is making you nervous you can’t imagine how he feels. “Yes sir? Can I help you?” Telling yourself to act natural only made you more tense. A woman came from the house on the left, making large strides with her cheeks puffed up in a pout. “Alfred! Stop scaring our new neighbors!” She let out a huff. “They’re just kids! What are you trying to achieve?” The man you could know name Alfred smiled but his tired eyes told a different story. He glared at you and you glared back. “Lori I was just messing around.” She rolled her eyes and lightly slapped his shoulder. Loraine looked at the both of you and smiled. “I’m sorry, my husbands a wild one.” 

You nodded and returned her smile. “Oh I get it. My hubby can cause a lot of trouble if I turn my back on him for too long.” You raised your left hand up to show the simple gold band on your ring finger. You two weren’t married by law although it seemed nice! In a rush you two robbed a jewelry store, it wouldn’t be bad to pretend after all. A piece of paper can’t define the love you two have anyway!

“Awww! You two are just the cutest!” Loraine gushed. “I don’t believe I caught your names?” Loraine may have been a bit enthusiastic but at least she was nothing like her husband. Seriously. What is his problem!? “I’m Y/n and this is my husband Gailen.” It still felt weird using that name for him. You had known him as Mime Bomb for so long. He got up from the chair on the porch and put a hand on your shoulder, allowing you to feel less tense. “Where did you two move from? Why did you choose our small town?” You don’t mean any disrespect towards her but you wish she would leave you alone so you can your hubby could go inside, panic, then cuddle together. “Well we moved from LA. It was overwhelming and extremely overpriced. We needed a change of scenery and this seemed like a nice place to start a life.” 

Alfred nodded, intertwining his arm with his wife’s. “I see. We welcome you to the neighborhood.” He smiled. “We’ll get out of your hair. If you need anything let us know, we are neighbors.” You nodded and waved them goodbye as they disappeared into their house.

Alfred wasn’t a bad man. He didn’t just pick on everyone. He couldn’t explain it. He didn’t see you or your husband do anything back yet something felt amiss. He was a family man and it didn’t feel right for you two to be near his family. Should he just swallow his pride and admit he got overzealous? No there had to be something wrong. His intuition has never failed him before.

I mean, I love this video, but it’s not one of my favorite joint videos of all time. Like, it wouldn’t make a “top 10″ list for me. And I think that is mostly due to how Dan seems almost...aggressive? in parts of it. Which makes some sense after the reaction to TTLMT and everything. 

I am fascinated by the difference in Dan’s attitude toward their audience in this video versus in the Mukbang after they had met a lot of the audience irl. I really do think the tour was a crucial part of Dan’s journey.
