One healthy way to make a bagel is to add avocado to whole wheat bread. They are a healthy and filling breakfast or snack because they are made with whole wheat flour and avocado, which makes them creamy.

Ingredients: 2 cups whole wheat flour. 1 packet active dry yeast. 1 cup warm water. 1 ripe avocado, mashed. 1 tbsp honey. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/4 cup non-fat Greek yogurt. 1 egg for egg wash. Sesame seeds optional, for topping.

Instructions: In a bowl, combine warm water, honey, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy. Add mashed avocado, whole wheat flour, Greek yogurt, and salt to the yeast mixture. Knead until a smooth dough forms. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape them into bagel rounds. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Preheat your oven to 375F 190C. In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush it over the bagels. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired. Bake the bagels for 20-25 minutes until they are golden brown and sound hollow when tapped on the bottom. Let the bagels cool on a wire rack before serving. Enjoy your delicious whole wheat avocado bagels!
