Update:

I finished Arsène Lupin - L'Aiguille Creuse.

It was a good book, though I must say that I prefer Lupin in short story format. I like detective stories, but am always more interested in the characters than in the mystery, and this book was definitely more mystery. It went on a bit too long for my taste. I do acknowledge that this is a me problem, though, as it WAS very good quality mystery. If you like watching people chasing after clues, then this is a good book for you.

Let's see what happens next. I have one more book left that I want to read this month, but I am slowing down noticeably. This October very much is NOT going as expected, as I also dropped Pulptober after looking forward to it all year. And now I'm noticing that I am beginning to have enough of French literature, and drifting more towards writing. Which would of course be a good thing, assuming I actually do write.

As I said, let's see what happens.

-- ABF '23: Results & Departure

With the results in and her and Leon landing in fourth place, it was a bitter taste surprisingly to Ashe. She had wanted to at least take third, but she accepted it and now with some people arguing about their placements, Ashe and Leon did the one thing they promised they'd do before they left -- snatch away the two baby Bulbasaurs that had been traumatized -- and with their combined set of pokemon, saw themselves out as if they had never been there.

No use sticking around when they could get the results of everything from Vathki and Feiyun. Besides, these two baby Bulbasaur needed some time to decompress and just be babies for once in their life at the ranch.
