unpopular opinion i wouldn’t even call what fitz has anger issues. please. bro is slightly meaner in anxious moments and they ran with that.

not to justify everything (because he indeed has made mistakes) but i fear his biggest issue is that he says the true things in a bad moment/not sugarcoating it. it’s like the whole honesty without tact is cruelty but he genuinely doesn’t do it to be mean he’s just lowkey bad af with social clues.

I realize why Keefe has so much “confidence” in how behavior. It’s because he can literally feel everyone’s emotions. He knows what to say or what to do in situations because he already feels what other people are feeling. So he just adds to that. And it’s funny because the second his talent started glitching out and he couldnt feel other peoples emotions. He suddenly became very nervous when it came to talking. He didn’t know what to do or say because he didn’t know what the other person was thinking or feeling.

transfem fitz feels like a very real headcanon to me. Maybe not necessarily a believer of it but I'm chewing on it. Her instant animosity yet attraction towards amber. The way the fool's different personas parallel fitz putting herself in different boxes. The way the fool is almost like a manic pixie dream girl to her, who brings colours into her drab life. The way the fool represents the life she won't accept she wants. The way she thinks about molly. "woman to all that was so man in her life". The way she uses molly to put both herself and her in a heteronormative fantasy. Her house in withywoods literally has a room where she's locked away everything abnormal about her life and where she only enters at night. Her relationship to men in general. Her relationship to women in general. Being tempted to sleep with any woman who offers it just for that connection. Being scared of accepting patience as her mother. Repressing every memory of her mom. I'm turning her around in my mind. Get out of your coffin fitz. There is still time, there is still time

Do we have any evidence for Fitz being autistic?

There's a few symptoms we could draw on !!

Sameness/textures--Fitz has multiple identical pairs of the same pajamas, as seen when he loans them to Keefe and Dex. Intended to be a rich thing, but could be interpreted as being specific about fabric and fit.

Friendships--prior to the story, Fitz doesn't appear to have any friends. Just Keefe, and the two of them were given a nudge by Alden. This wasn't helped by his disappearances, but a difficulty connecting to others could also play a role. Even now, his primary tie is to Sophie and Biana, not the whole group.

We could also look at his difficulty with changing how he thinks or how he manages strong emotion, though those aren't as strong of points since they're easily attributed to his background as a Vacker and the primary emotion we focus on is anger.

You could go further, but those are the points that stand out strongest to me. The distance he seems to have from the group and the way he's bought into expectations put on him as if they're natural, and his difficulty letting that go.

It's not definitive, but it's a starting point :)

Intense hyperfocus and special interest in certain topics (true crime, etc.). Pip gets caught up in something (like her investigation) and it's all she can think about. She is stubborn and persistent, often despite others telling her she needs to step back or relax.

She loves homework and is kind of nerdy, often coming across as awkward or blunt. Pip doesn't have a lot of close friends and seems to find socializing to be difficult (and not really her thing.)

Anything else

The vibes are just SO STRONG as well. Like I think I had seen her on screen for like 5 minutes and after one interaction with someone else I was like "ok so she's autistic".

tbh as someone with bpd, the way people talk abt fitz makes me feel physically ill like wdym youre inherently toxic because you idolize certain people wdym youre evil because of mere thought patterns wdym there must be no reason for you to be this way youre just a bad person wdym you’re undeserving of love and literally being alive because you feel emotions really strongly

(the issue is that they take these traits he inherently has and says he’s toxic for stuff he can’t control it’s never his behaviors and if it is they blow it way out of proportion??)

So I started watching the Good Girl's Guide to Murder tv show on Netflix and Pip is definitely autistic. Like I don't know nothing about the books but the hiperfixation???? Her incapacity to lie??? Just the way Emma plays Pip feels very autistic coded and I love it.
