Bucky

You’re on your period and you feel like shit. Walking around the house is a trek, and you have to pause to ride out the nausea. You’ve taken all the pain medicine you can, and you’ve got a hot water bottle, hot enough that it’ll leave marks. You’re hungry but desperately don’t want to stand long enough to make a meal, or even to warm something up. 

As you make it to the couch, Bucky opens the door, arms carrying grocery bags. You groan as you sit down, and make sure the hot water bottle is in position. You lean your head against the cushions and close your eyes. You hear rustling as Bucky puts down the bags and takes off his jacket. “Hey sweetheart, how are you feeling?”

“Mmm, not great.”

“You need something?”

“A hug.”

He sits down beside you on the couch, and you sit up to embrace him. He’s warm, and the hug is tight enough to be satisfying but not enough to put more pressure on your uterus. 

“Can you make me food?” You feel his chest move as he laughs. He kisses your forehead and smiles at you.

“Yeah of course.”

2. Peter

You walk out of your class, teary eyed and desperate for some comfort. You're so tired from all the late nights of studying and you're sure you just failed your midterm. You had tried your best, but some of the questions surprised you and you're not confident about your answers. You just need to get out of the building. You pull your phone out of your bag and call Peter. His classes are done for the day so you know he’ll pick up. Thankfully he does on the second ring.

“Hey, how was the test?”

“I don’t even want to talk about it, I’m going to start crying. Can we meet at the cafe by your place? I need a treat.”

“Yeah sure, I’ll be there in 15.”

“Great, see you.” You hang up and sigh, feeling mentally drained and in need of some happiness. You put your phone in your pocket and start in the direction of the cafe. As you walk, you think about what you'll get. Maybe you’ll treat yourself and get a pastry and a drink.

It isn’t long before you're opening the door, and a bell jingles, announcing your entrance. You scan the place and find Peter at a table in the corner. It's tucked away but right by a big window, letting in the natural light. He's looking at his phone but glances up as you approach. You hang your bag on the back of the chair and sit down. You give him a tired look. 

“Hey.”

“Hey. You look rough.”

You huff, and bury your head in your arms. Your voice was muffled but his enhanced hearing picked up your response. “Thanks shithead, I’m tired and just bombed my midterm”

His hand pats your head gently, and then moves to rub your arm. 

“I just meant-” You hear him sigh. “You know I don’t like seeing you like this.” You lift your head, and meet his eyes. He looks so sincere, and it makes you want to cry. 

“Well, a hug would help.” He gets up from his seat, the chair legs scraping against the hardwood floors of the cafe. You do the same, although slower (to avoid the awful scraping noise). You wrap your arms around him, and he hugs you tight, soothing over the painful emotions of your day. 

“C’mon, I’ll pay for what you want.”

3. Frank

You had messaged Frank, asking if he was available to train. He had offered to train you a few months ago, and now you two meet up about twice a week so he can teach you proper fighting forms and techniques. 

Tonight you have some restless energy, your mind is buzzing and your legs are bouncing as you try to work at your desk. You need a break, and an outlet.

When you walk into the gym, Frank can already see that you aren’t in the right headspace to train. You have enough energy to workout but your mind isn’t in it. He isn’t sure how to address it, so he just continues like normal, letting you stretch in silence. Then as he is wrapping his hands, he hears you speak up. 

“Frankie? Can I just have a hug before we start?” He's a little caught off guard. He isn’t a touchy person, but he's been making more of an effort to give you more physical affection because he knows you love it. 

“Yeah, c'mere kid” You get up from the floor, and walk over to him fast enough so you can’t overthink it. You melt into the hug, but it isn’t enough. You hug him tighter and he seems to get the message. He pulls you in tighter and he can feel you sigh against his shoulder. He pulls back and puts his hand on your head. “Good?”

You rock on your feet and flap your hands a bit, before standing still. “Yeah, let's do this!"

4. Bruce

You're helping Bruce with dinner for the team tonight and you're in charge of chopping the vegetables. You've had a stressful day, too much on your plate, and this morning you had to wake up extra early. Cutting the vegetables was relaxing but it hasn't gotten rid of the tight feeling in your chest. Your breathing is more shallow than usual and you can’t get a deep breath, so you unconsciously let out more sighs. You don’t even notice it, focused on your task. 

“That’s a lot of sighing over there." You glance up from your cutting board and see Bruce stirring a pot at the stove but looking at you. 

“Oh uh, yeah I guess so.” You look down and start chopping a carrot again but slower. “I don’t know, just can’t take a deep breath. It’s been an anxious day.”

“You let me know if there’s anything I can do, ok?” His tone is firm and comforting, you believe him. You nod, and there’s a few minutes of silence before you speak up. 

“Actually, um… could you give me a hug?” He turns his body towards you and puts down the wooden spoon. “But like a tight one, with pressure.” You clarify.

He opens his arms and you walk into his embrace. He squeezes you, tight enough that it releases some of the weight in your chest. You break away from the hug and you feel lighter, and can breathe easier.

“Thanks.” You give him a grateful smile, and he smiles too. You both return to your jobs in comfortable silence.

You watch nervously as Bucky and Nat look at your drawing, holding it between them. 

“Do you like it?” You drew the three of you, referencing a photo of when they took you apple picking. You used your good oil pastels to create a fun border, adding some colour to your graphite piece. You also took out your special stickers, putting one cat sticker in each corner of the page. 

Nat put the piece on the coffee table in front of the couch and pulls you into her arms. She squeezes you tightly, and you feel Bucky’s arms encircle you both. You’re squished in the center of a wonderful hug, and they attack you with quick kisses all over your heated face. 

You giggle and wiggle in their embrace. You feel warm and soft, in a peacefully, hazy headspace. 

"We love it, bug." Nat murmurs against your head.

I relate to The Hulk and Bruce Banner to an incredible degree. It's uncanny how many similarities I can find. But because of these similarities, I feel very strongly towards the character. So even though I've barely read any hulk comics, let's discuss how I'd write for the hulk:

Even though The Hulk and Bruce Banner are two different people, I view them as two sides of the same coin. If it's anything like me (and how I'm super reserved in public, yet super expressive and prone to mood swings when at home or just around my dad) The Hulk and Bruce Banner are like two different personas. The Hulk is like all of Bruce Banner's private self. His unexpressed thoughts and feelings.

Also, I wish there were less stories about Bruce Banner wanting to free himself of the Hulk. Don't get me wrong, I get it. My anger issues are awful (I've hurt my dad before, or almost hurt him), but I have come to accept them. In my 19 years on earth, nothing has changed them or stopped them. I've resigned myself to the fact that they're part of me. In a way, I'd like something like that from the hulk. A kind of resignation to being able to cure himself, wherein Bruce Banner tries to learn to coexist with the Hulk.

Why do I have a hyperfixation/special interest on an incrediblely niche subfandom that almost nobody cares about which gets updated like three times a month

This is part of the reason I hate the transformers fandom- bee in tfa isn't a child- he's in the fucking military he drinks uses cybertronian swear words and has ambitions- he has traits of adhd bee in tfp is mute- he's not a baby and using his disability to make him cuter grosses me out- he literally had the robotic equivalent of his throat torn out as a form of torture! In the bayverse he's also not a child! Bee I swear to God gets treated like he's a baby and it's made worse because a lot of his fans upon getting a wiff of some people pointing out he's ADHD coded use that to baby him further! Bulkhead in tfa is autism coded (clumsiness lack of social awareness easily overwhelmed etc) and grew up in a 'rural' area- he still has depth and isn't just a cutie- he's got a scary ass temper and is actually smart at his job- it just a niche underappreciated interest he's not lacking in ambition- he's able to be satisfied without tons of recognition. Starscream is a lovable backstabbing son of a bitch who murders people and enjoys bragging about it yes he is an abuse victims but he's also a monster in his own right (doesn't mean he deserves the abuse btw) like I hate uwu woobie Starscream with a passion- let the dude be evil! Let him be pathetic without having to constantly write it as tearjerking or turning him into a sympathy sue.

I remember for a long time thinking I hated bee only to realize I more hated how the fandom treats him. I hated it- Bee is physically disabled in tfp not a baby! He's a disabled vet- ahes got a physical disability stop erasing it- he's not nonverbal autistic- and even if he was that's no excuse to aby him - I'm saying this as someone who wants more nonverbal characters! Bee is a fucking adult either way! But it really does say something about some people in this fandom who infantalize the shit outta him and erase his canon disability and replace it with one they think justifies this shit (not saying that you can't headcanon him as autistic but 1 that's not the reason he doesn't talk and 2 even if he was a nonverbal autistic-he's still and adult)

And hearing people treat bulkhead as ambitionless depthless character whose only personality traits are 'cute plot device' and 'friend to the real characters' because of his autistic traits or because he's a farm boy who has interest in careers that aren't glamorous but still require skill/are satisfying/needed I do get a bit angry- he's got depth it's just not as obvious as the other characters

And dear god as a Starscream fan I hate a lot of other Starscream fans- can we not infantalize the abuse victim? Can we acknowledge when the bad guy does bad things? Can he be a cool bad guy without turning him into a draco in leather pants woobie or cringefail baby?

idk i just think it’s a little weird that almost every character who gets the “innocent baby” / “little ray of sunshine” treatment usually ends up just having neurodivergent traits and actual negative traits in the show that nobody pays attention to. like idk man it just feels like diet infantilization to me and it’s a teeny weeny bit uncomfortable to see all the time

Oooh, this is a cool question! I would say it depends on the particular symptoms the person has, so I'll go over some symptoms and which yanderes would respond best vs. worst.

avoidance of eye-contact

Obviously, shy, autistic, or autistic-coded yanderes would work really well with this (and other) symptom(s). Your Donatello's, your Newt's, arguably your Peter Parker's. Also, yanderes who are able to sense when their darling's attention is on them supernaturally or just out of sheer social aplomb. Elves, for example, would be great with someone who doesn't like eye contact, because their body language conventions differ as a result of being able to communicate mentally.

Roxanne Wolf would be distinctly bad for this, based on her need for attention as demonstrated in Help Wanted 2. But she's also not beyond reason when it matters, as we've seen in Ruin DLC, so I'm sure communicating about it is on the table.

sensory reactivity

Okay, I think Dr. Strange would very specifically be bad for this, because his movies are all swirling kaleidoscopes of magic that would definitely be sensory overload in real life, and I have mentioned before that I don't see him as a considerate yandere. If anything, he might enjoy inducing sensory overload for the express purposes of making his darling require comfort, care, and isolation from others.

On the other hand, and maybe a weird pull for this, but Zafrina from Twilight would be great. Alec, too. Both have powers that would be super helpful when darling is overwhelmed.

Druig is able to just make everyone nearby shut up, which he would employ liberally.

food sensitivity/pickiness

Yanderes who enjoy cooking could go both ways on this. I could see some being offended by negative feedback and some taking it as being gifted with the challenge of meeting their darling's standards. Teruteru from Danganronpa and Esme from Twilight would both probably be good about receiving feedback and making changes. Super eager to please. Esme more so than Teruteru; he might get offended at first.

Rich and royal yanderes would delight in someone picky. They would love to be able to send food back with new, highly specific orders because darling doesn't like grapes with soft spots. Your Tony Stark's, your Byakuya Togami's, your Toph Beifong's, your Coriolanus Snow's.

Ralph from DBH would be a problem. He has a very weak grasp on what humans eat and a very high sensitivity to negative feedback. (Wait, he's just like me...)

resistance to changes in routine

This one would be a problem for yanderes who feel a need to go on adventures and trips with their darling. Which isn't necessarily the same as adventurous yanderes. Some adventurous yanderes might enjoy the idea of their darling staying behind at home keeping to a comfortable routine. But the ones who want their darling along on the adventure would be problematic. The Doctor, for example. Especially Eleven; he gets bored easily.

Whereas I think a lot of superheroes would like the idea of keeping their darling sequestered away, living predictably and comfortably. Clark Kent, Steve Rogers, Druig...The only catch is that some of them (Druig) would probably be a bit condescending about it.

I think Daycare Attendant would be great for routine. Coloring time, snack time, naptime, same time every day, sign them up! Also condescending, but they genuinely can't help it because it's how they're programmed.

Technically, Phineas and Ferb keep to a very specific routine, albeit a pretty tiring/potentially overwhelming one.

sorting things

This would be great for the disorganized genius character type. A Bruce Banner, if you will. An organized genius probably already has a system and might have trouble with someone sorting things differently than they have them. A distinctly slovenly character probably wouldn't mind either way.

hyperfixation

Yo, Queen from Deltarune would be the best for this. She would create an inescapable palace of the thing darling likes. Swatch and the Swatchlings would be involved.

stimming

There might be a problem if the yandere is easily distracted and needs to focus on something else. The main one I can think of who fits that description is Percy Jackson. That's not a distaste thing; just a pragmatic issue. Yanderes who experience sensory overload might also have an issue with it. My first thought was Queen Elsa.

On the other hand, Leo Valdez would love to make little stim toys for his darling. Donatello, too.

I mentioned this in my headcanons for autistic Bucky post, but I'm elaborating in a separate post too.

Bucky really likes the smell of people who are in some way harmonious with nature and with themselves body-and-spirit. He can't really place what it smells like and he almost got himself into serious shit with the Dora Milaje for wording it all wrong and making it seem like he was saying their King stank, when it's the exact opposite.

T'Challa, Peter Parker, Shuri and Groot in particular smell incredible to him, and honestly Bruce Banner (post-Hulk merge only) doesn't smell too bad either. It's the inner harmony and balance, but not entirely, because if that were the case then sorcerers should also smell great yet they fucking stink to him. There's a link between inner harmony and specifically grounded, Earthen connection and spirituality too, and sorcerers are too otherworldly.

It's Shuri becoming the Black Panther and noticing the shift in her scent after that tips him off just what it was that he liked, since she didn't have that Right Scent before. The first thing he says to her when he meets her again is that she smells nicer and she smacked him on the arm, mock-offended that he's saying she stank before, then enjoyed laughing at him when he panicked and stuttered to explain.

Ninjago x Marvel Rivals Headcanons

so i was just talking with my boy and started thinking about what ninjago characters would main as in rivals because of my current wip... so here's this

Lloyd mains as Moon Knight. He also plays Iron Fist and he's really good at both, but he also plays Groot if he has to.

Kai mains Iron Man but would also play as Scarlet Witch. That freaking loser. This is also until the next season, he would play Human Torch 4ever trust 🙏🙏

Cole mains Venom or The Punisher, if he's feeling particular he might play Black Panther.

Zane would be autistic and go for Luna Snow. I say that because he would go, "I am the elemental master of ice, I feel like it is only natural I main as Luna Snow because she has ice powers."

JAY !! THAT FREAKING TWINK THAT I HATE !! HE MAINS SPIDER-MAN AND STAR LORD. Plays Thor if he feels like pulling a Zane. In response to Zane explaining why he plays as Luna Snow, Jay would say, "Ha, by that logic, then I'd be Thor !" Despite playing his mains all the time, Jay is actually the best Marvel Rivals player out of all of them. If he was playing a match by himself and all his mains are taken, He Carries The Team With Whatever He Chooses.

Nya doesn't play that often, but when she does, she plays as Jeff the Land Shark. She thinks Jeff is cute, especially with the dolphin skin.

PIXAL only plays because Zane asked if she wanted to once and she's the tank to his strategist. She's a Peni Parker main and is particularly fond of the Ven#m skin, she might model her updated Samurai X mech after it.

Hypothetically, if Wu played rivals with them, he would be a Doctor Strange main. Garmadon mains Hela. Both as Lord Garmadon and Sensei Garmadon.

Wyldfyre actually has no idea how to play video games. She mains as Squirrel Girl and she would compare those squirrels to dragons somehow.

Sora loves playing as Psylocke, purely mains her for the aesthetic but is super good at playing her. Also plays as Invisible Woman and Magneto.

Arin mains as Winter Soldier, sometimes plays Magik, and occasionally plays Wolverine. I don't think I will elaborate on that.

I still really relate to The Hulk. The idea of having two personas: one very quiet and shy while the other is the manifestation of the anger he bottled up... that's uncanny it's relatability. I'm incredibly lonely irl, with my only friend being my dad. But whenever I'm at school, I go all quiet and end up almost seeing like the most well behaved and reserved student. Yet when I get home, I have my violent mood swings wherein I'll sometimes even end up hitting my dad or calling him names. For me The Hulk is incredibly relatable for those very reasons. His personas pretty much represent two aspects of me, as well.
