severus and autistic!partner hc’s.
a/n : hi this is the first personal thing that i am publishing & honestly i really am so very happy with it. i am a afab young adult late diagnosed autistic, but i have tried to keep it gender neutral so more people can relate to it. this is a very important topic for me, and i love writing about autistic people. i get it that severus is not everyone’s cup of tea, but please do not hate on this - just ignore it if you don’t want to interact.
word count - 1.7k ( sorry for the length, i just started writing and then didn’t stop )
initially telling severus & discusssions around that.
- as a young adult, getting the diagnosis both helped but also lead to some confusing questions and left you feeling pretty alone in a neurotypical society.
- however when you told severus, he did not seem suprised. he seemed to be confused, but not suprised. he noticed that you expressed some traits, which typically leaned towards autism.
- he recently paid more significant attention to your habits & the way you act in certain situations, such as the plushie you carry around & the way you go silent in busy situations.
- when he found out, he repeatedly reassured you that ‘nothing had changed’ either with his opinion of you or the way he feels about you.
- you would know that it had changed, but it had changed for the better rather than the worse.
- it was now important that you were able to set the appropriate boundaries that you needed too in order to make your autism more manageable for you.
severus reading up about autism & how to help
- with severus being the intellect that he is, he would like to read up about young adult autism & how would be the best way to help with you and your autism.
- for a few weeks afterwards, you would find help books all around the house, open to random pages. especially by your bedside table & on his work desk as well.
- severus would both read and explore different ideas in how to help most with your autism. on his computer, you would often find tabs open where he would talk to other people’s partners about their partners autism & how they handle it / help with it.
- when you initially found the books, severus would explain that ‘he wanted to help you the best that he could’ and make things as easier as he could for you.
- your response to that would be too go up to him and hug him, seeking the comfort that you never found as a child. he would instantly wrap his arms around you, squeezing you tightly. he would rest his head on top of yours, due to the height difference between you too.
- over the next few weeks, while he read up about autism - you would talk to you more about how he felt lonely growing up & that you did not have friends or family.
- he talked about his lack of belonging in society & the way he felt alienated. ‘i never felt like I belonged, until I met you. your presence just feels like home to me’. you feel the exact same way, being safe in his arms.
severus & his indentity.
- both in and out of hogwarts, severus was known to be impaitent and cold hearted. but with you from the start, he was patient & he listened to anything you had to say whether he viewed it as important or not.
- he was very careful around you, in order to make you feel safe in all situations. he would never force you to speak or do anything.
- if you went non verbal he would find other means to communicate with you, such as through written words or simply just through actions. he also briefly looked into learning sign language in order to help you communicate when you go into verbal shutdown but the conversation hadnt happened yet, so he held off and just learnt it quietly in the background.
- he became quite good at noticing what you needed : whether that be hugs or some space alone. if you needed hugs, he would hold you tightly and would do breathing with you, often letting you just sit with him letting you be comforted by his heartbeat.
- however if he sensed you needed space, he would move to the other-side of the room & do something independently, such as reading. he would stay in the same room if he could just to make sure you stay safe. he would keep you company in simple ways, but it would be very effective.
stimming & meltdowns.
- the first time severus sees you stimming, is through happiness. he finds happiness in himself watching your joy, in such a untainted manner. he then vows to make sure that you are happy in every situation that you can be.
- when severus see’s you having a meltdown, it hurts his heart so very much. he can physically feel the pain, radiating in his chest watching you and the way that you react.
- he tries to comfort you the best that he can, while sticking to the boundaries, which you have put in place. most of the time during these meltdowns, he will give you the space that you need.
- he has found that when you are in this state, it sometimes calms you down when he reads to you. he can read to you for hours, or as long as you need the help for. he will try to calm you down in whatever manner he can.
infodumping with severus
- one of severus’s favourite things to hear is when you infodump. he will listen to you info dump about anything, even if he has no interest in the subject.
- when you talk about anything, his chest will have a warm feeling spread throughout it & he will often be left with a smile on his face. he listens and remembers everything that you say, as it makes him so very happy when you feel comfortable enough with him.
- ‘oh i am sorry, am i rambling again? you must tell me to stop otherwise you know that I will not… ‘ severus will stop your apology, by kissing your forehead and threading his fingers between yours. ‘I love it when you talk to me, please do not stop’.
- you also love to listen to severus talk about his interests, and you adore seeing him be passionate about the subject that he is most interested in.
- severus could talk for hours about potions & the outdoors, he has a lot of knowledge and hearing anything he has to say, just makes you smile.
- he also loves it when you come out potion hunting with him, as it allows him to know that you are safe. he will often suprise you with events at night, such as watching the animals in the forbidden forest & he will cast spells to make you calm & make the situation much easier for you when dealing with your autism.
trusting severus
- due to your trust in severus, you opened up about your childhood & teen experiences ; about how you spent a lot more time alone, the way you were bullied by other students, the way you had a bad relationship with most people in your life. you felt that any friendship you made, would not last leading you to be alone a lot of the time.
- you also opened up about your struggle with your identity, turmoil of emotions & dealing with the change in society regarding emotions and trying to fit in with other people your own age.
- growing up as a undiagnosed autistic, was very alienating. ‘I masked for many years, i masked so hard i actually lost who I am’
- severus resonated with most of those things as well, as he often spend a lot of time alone growing up, he didn’t really interact with many people and he also preferred to read rather than do anything too social. he had no real friends, either.
- ‘you never have to mask with me, i promise. no matter what you have to say, i will listen to you’
worries with severus & relationships
- ‘am I too much?’ you regularly have this fear that you are too much. you have been told by multiple people, your parents, your friends and past ‘relationships’ that everything you do is too much.
- you spent your whole life being half the person that you are in order to fit in with what the people want to see, not who you truly are. ‘i apologise if I am, please feel free to tell me if I am…’
- upon hearing this, Severus assures you that ‘you sometimes are a little much’ but that ‘i like that you are too much, you are my too much’. he constantly tries to reassure you that you are not too much for him, he finds pleasure in listening to you talk and engage in subjects that you find interesting.
putting his research into action
- after reading the books, severus found that it was important to implement steady breathing techniques in order to calm your anxieties around autism. ‘i’m so proud of you for calming down a little bit already’.
- he would make sure that you stayed calm in certain situations and it would help you to focus on something other than feelings of sadness.
- severus would sit and wait with me, until my breathing calmed down. he would hold your hand against his chest, focusing on something other than how you feel. ‘we can do this, together’
- however, there are moments where severus will also use deep compression in order to calm me down, before a meltdown comes on. ‘i know you need me, your safe’
- he once again lets you hear and feel his heartbeat in order to ground yourself. if he notices that you are not in the right mental state to be held, he will often just grip your hands & holds the pressure points on your wrists to calm you down. ‘i will keep you safe for as long as you need me’
autistic safe space.
- he builds you a relaxing safe space, in order to fully decompress from anxieties and be able to truly be yourself. it includes a lot of blankets & plushies in order to make you feel safe. ‘something that’s cozy and enclosed and safe for you’
- he builds you a safe space in your home, kind of like a fort with lots of blankets and a safe space to spend time on your own. severus occasionally finds himself being able to curl up in your fort with you just to keep you company if your having a bad night or something. ‘maybe we can build a safe space like that in our bedroom’
- when you have a meltdown at work, he also does the same to you there. he provides you with a safe space, normally under a desk in his office in order to decompress.
- he makes sure it’s as quiet as you need it to be, to help. he always tries to help you in the best way that he can & he finds comfort in being able to provide comfort for you.
meltdown preparation
- between you and severus, you can normally tell when a meltdown is coming on & he will do anything that he can in order to calm you down before it gets too bad.
- he will offer to help you, either by cooking or providing items that give you sensory help in order to ground yourself. ‘i just want you to be safe and comfortable’
- he will always try to take pressure of you, to make life easier for you. wether that be something as simple as giving you a plushie or cooking a meal for you. he makes your life so much more easier & your so grateful for him.

I was chatting with my mom about doing my super-close reading of HP for my big retrospective and we got on the topic of Snape. And I described how I noticed that Snape, of ALL characters, represented just about everything JK R*wling now despises as a character who defies labels even in the first book where you know NOTHING about him except that he's an asshole. And I was like "He feels like an accident." And my mom goes-
"He created himself,"
So I sat with that bombshell for a moment and then I mentioned he was based on a real person with autism and insomnia, so all of the "nastiness" R*wling put in (always being up at night to catch the kids, lack of hygiene, harsh sarcasm) was actually accidentally reflective of that. And my mom (also autistic and a teacher) flipped out with surprise and said-
"He's a person?! So she created a person. Who created himself."
And if that's not the most accurate description of that character, I dunno what is. Hot damn, I want it on a t-shirt.

trying to figure out when and how to tell my snily post rebloggers and commenters that i genuinely forgot that not everyone views severus snape as undeniably very trans so in my mind. the “lesbian” snily was built in. it’s not “imagine if he had been a girl” and it’s not “sapphic snily au” or whatever. it was real 2me. and i could write a meta on the double outcast of not being a Girl while being a girl and being autistic in a neurotypical world and how that is so much of what snape’s trauma is coded as but i do not have the mental energy for that. just know it bounces around in my brain 24/7

rarepairs i think would be interesting but there's no love for
remus lupin/frank longbottom: 10/10 would read
hestia jones/edgar bones: hufflepuff4hufflepuff, bi4bi, adhd x autism <33
charity burbage/aurora sinistra: not quite academic rivals but, like tutor!aurora with top grades and tutee!charity both with very repressed feelings leading into a romance when they're teachers. perfection.
benjy fenwick/any man ever: i have a specific image in mind and that image is the gayest gay to ever gay
peter pettigrew/james or remus: the fact that both of these have less fics than jegulus makes me viscerally upset, like not hating but they're the main group?? you didn't play around with the dynamic a lil bit?? anyway pete thought all boys felt that way about each other but, growing up more involved in muggle culture (hc but it feels right to me, half blood tho) where it was less accepting of homosexuality, learned to repress it. remus, being the first person in hogwarts that showed him kindness by allowing him into the group when the others didn't want him, that's so good to have blossom into something else, even one sided, and i think every marauder had a crush on james at one point. love it love it love it
emma vanity/lucinda talkalot: lesbian quidditch rivals need i say more. emma being very committed to keeping her position as captain and lucinda sweeping in and claiming the title after she was injured in a match. actually as im writing this my brain is being flooded with headcanons. they...
barty crouch jr/being banned from being spoken about in fandom: hate this bitch.

I believe Snape is autistic
(FYI: I’m autistic myself and I have autistic children.)
He’s lonely. He doesn’t really have friends. We know of Lily, we also hear about Lucius Malfoy, but we don’t really see their friendship which in my opinion is much less close than fans believe. As a student he’s so alone that no one but Lily tries to stop the bullying.
He doesn’t participate in any social meetings. He’s quite miserable during the Christmas in Harry’s third year. He patrols the corridors and the grounds instead of attending the Yule Ball. He doesn’t stay for dinner after the Order meetings. He only attends the DE meetings because he has to.
His peers at school think he’s weird. Lily’s friends from Gryffindor don’t understand why she’s friends with him. When Harry asks why the Marauders bullied him, Sirius says he was different, weird, he was an "oddball". Autistic children and teenagers are often bullied because they are perceived as not normal, awkward, weird.
He doesn’t make a normal eye contact, he stares a bit too much. It can be partly explained by Legillimency, but he stared too much even as a teenager.
There’s a difference between how he speaks as a teenager and as an adult. It doesn’t sound entirely natural, he definitely had to put effort into that. It’s partly because he doesn’t want to sound like a poor man with a northern (?) accent, but autistic struggle with fluent communication may also be a reason.
He insists on precise definitions: Legilimency is not mind-reading, ghosts are not transparent but they are imprints of departed souls. He’s irritated that Harry has "no subtlety" and he doesn’t "understand fine distinctions".
He’s quite rude. He might be just *evil*, but he may just not fully understand how cruel he actually sounds. From his point of view he’s just honest and doesn’t beat around the bush. OK, maybe he’s a little mean, but not cruel… right?
He uses sarcasm (a lot of autistics actually do), but he doesn’t really appreciate Harry’s and other people’s sass, he treats their words too seriously.
He usually speaks coldly / calmly / without much emotion.
He’s usually dispassionate, he has limited facial expressions. Many autistic people also have a "resting b!tch face" unless they try to look more "normal". Perhaps he isn’t always as hateful as Harry thinks, perhaps it’s just his face.
He seems a little oblivious to other people’s emotional state and seems to analyse their behavior more intellectually.
He has special interests: Dark Arts / DADA and Potions.
He has his own collection of Potions ingredients, including rare ones, collection of weird jars (I guess they may contain some Potions ingredients, but also he may like them because of visual stimming aspect) and vast collection of books at home.
His Potions ingredients must be very orderly, he knows immediately that something is missing and what it is.
He "loves" rules. Students are breaking the rules? He takes points or gives detention. The Marauders are bullying him? He wants them expelled. (While Harry deals with the bullies on his own.) He’s caught Sirius whom he believes to be responsible for Lily’s death? He’s going to hand him over to the Ministry and the Dementors. (While Sirius and Remus want to murder Peter themselves.)
Since Snape likes rules and order, Harry who is a bit wild and unpredictable annoys him.
He doesn’t wash his hair as often as he should. It could be partly because of his poor background (he was neglected, he wasn’t taught to take a proper care of his hair, he didn’t even have a real bathroom as a child), partly because he has no one to look nice for, partly because of the Potions fumes. Autism might make him care less about his appearance. (He does care about hygiene though. Apparently he shaves regularly and Harry would certainly notice if Snape was dirty or smelly. His sallow skin and teeth have nothing to do with hygiene, it’s a result of his poverty and malnutrition.)
He stimms: He’s shredding leaves as a child. He’s flexing his fingers after the Shrieking Shack incident. During the Occlumency lessons he’s touching his lips with his finger while he’s thinking.
He has some sensory issues. He wears the same, a little baggy robes (they flutter as he walks). He’s sensitive to light: his Potions classroom is dim (it’s in the dungeons, but he could brighten it up with magic); he makes his DADA classroom dim, even though it’s no longer in the dungeons; when Harry comes to his first Occlumency lesson, Snape waits for him in a dark room. (You know, people don’t do things like that because they’re evil, it doesn’t make sense).
As a teenager he walks "like a spider" and generally he isn’t good at sports (we see him on a broom three times: in a memory of his unsuccessful flying lesson at school, being very pale and probably frightened after refereeing the Quidditch match in PS and trying to curse a DE and missing during the Battle of Seven Harrys).
John Nettleship whom Snape was partly based on was probably autistic.

hear me out: severus snape never actually had a redemption arc.
so something i deeply admire about severus snape’s character is how complex he is and how morally grey he is. like I think the only other character who displays grey morality better than snape is dumbledore (much to rowlings despair). this will be important in a second.
i dont believe snape even had a redemption arc because he never redeemed himself for the awful things he did that made him so disliked. Yes we find out his motives, that hes a double agent and is one of the most brilliant characters in the series for fooling voldemort. I applaud his intellect and complexity. But thats not redemption.
Severus Snape never changes as a person or a character. Because you know what he never does? Apologize. Take accountability. He just.. dies.
When Rowling introduced Severus’s character, he was already a double agent. When we find this out, it was a huuuge plot twist. “Aaa it explains so much , he’s in love with Lily he did it for Lily, hes such a hero !!” That’s all she wants you to think . Because if Severus’s character was always good, if he was always as well-meaning as was possible for his character.. then he never changed, and he never had a moment in the books where he self-reflected and grew as a character. Rowling tricked her audience into thinking this big reveal was his redemption but he does not go through an actual redemption arc He DIES with his apologies and laments on his tongue.
This is a man who verbally and emotionally abused children for years, for which there is NEVER justification. He is emotionally immature for a majority of the books, going so far as putting Remus’s life in danger by telling the student body of his condition (that is actively discriminated against). Severus’s meanness and pettiness are arguably his most defining traits and nothing about his “double agent that’s doing this for Lily’s son” justifies those behaviors.
All this to say I think Severus Snape is such a great character. He was just another pawn that Dumbledore used for personal gains. But Severus still did some fucked up shit out of his own free will and never really held himself accountable for those things, nor does he owe anyone that. Do i think he deserved a solid redemption arc? Absolutely. Partly what makes his death so tragic is that he didnt get one. And i think rowling promoting his redemption arc does him a great disservice.
EDIT: had post-post clarity and found the words i was looking for. Severus’s grey morality is an integral part of his unique character, and having a “redemption arc” risks narrowly defining him as “only bad before” or “only good after”. And i just think that goes against his character. Especially since he was doing bad and good things the entire time and, again, never actually changed as a character (in the series) cuz that wasn’t the goal of his character.

Her name is Vivian and I absolutely luv her, I did make her just for OC X Canon which is in fact Severus. My whole idea while making her was loser x queen (/hj) I fear...and in my defense I think Severus deserves a rich pretty girlfriend to spoil him:]

Just a random thought I had.
I've been spending a lot of time recently going over what I know about myself and my behaviors and the way I have existed my entire life, and have been slowly coming to terms with the fact that I probably have undiagnosed Autism(and ADHD) and I will never have the money to get a proper diagnosis for this because being able to get to just a regular doctor is a luxury that I do not have.
As such, I have been putting all of my interests into perspective and thinking more clearly about the characters I like in the pieces of fiction I like, and trying to draw similarities between them and how they behave, compared to me and how I behave.
This brought me to Tom Riddle, clearly.
The special interests(Dark Magic).
The obsession with collecting unique items.
The intense hyperfixation on his interests that causes him to monologue for ages about them in relation to himself.
Being exceptional at hiding how he really feels behind a mask to trick people into thinking he's 'normal' like them.
Learning the right words to say to get by even if he thinks they're foolish or nonsensical.
Struggling with understanding emotions either from himself or others, and misconstruing what others are feeling based on his limited understanding.
Making his whole personality revolve around the Thing he's good at(Dark Magic).
Having no tolerance for other people because they cannot keep up with him.
Now that I am forced to come to terms with these things about myself, and even more things, I can't not review everything I'd ever shown interest in. Like, all of my favorite characters end up falling along the lines of depressed character, anxious character, or Autism-coded character. Or all 3 in a character. And I have all these issues and technically should be medicated for some but can't afford it.
And the thing is, I have considered similar characters to Tom, wondering if I'm projecting onto his type of character.
I like Hannibal, the TV show. My favorite character is Will Graham. And would you happen to know that he is depressed, anxious, and very Autism-coded? But the character in Hannibal, that Tom is most like, is actually Hannibal himself. And the ship for Hannigram feels very similar at times to the Harrymort ship, which is why a lot of people ship both.
But if I was to line Tom up beside Hannibal and consider what I know about both of them in relation to my undiagnosed Autism, Tom is the one who feels like he could be Autistic. Hannibal does not. Even with his special interests and masking and monologuing, and all their similarities on the Potentially Autistic List, Hannibal doesn't give me the same vibe. Will does, but not Hannibal.
So, I don't think this is me forcing the 'misunderstood Autistic villain trope' onto Tom. I think it's just that I've gained a new perspective on myself, and it has forced me to reevaluate everything I know about who I am and what I like and what draws me to those things in the first place.
It's kind of like how I liked Severus Snape as a character, long before I realized that I was depressed and that he was also depressed(I was 9 when I started the HP books). Like, the day I finally realized that I had depression(I was 17) and that wanting to kill myself and trying to are actually suicidal issues that I need help for, I thought of Snape. And a lot of things clicked.
Gaining a new perspective on yourself gives you new perspectives on everything else.

I Dislike The State Of Things: An Incomprehensible Essay.
I don't like Snape from the Harry Potter books or movies. I don't mean MY version of Snape. MY Severus Snape would never insult an 11-year-old's teeth. He'd just be kinda... bitter I guess? He'd be more strict with Harry and friends, but he wouldn't be antagonistic toward them. Why would you be mad at your bff's kid? If you don't HATE Harry then fucking act like it? How about we write his grief a little more... realistically? I could understand Severus getting annoyed when Harry displays behavior that is reminiscent of James though. Because Snape doesn't want him to be a fool just like James was. The fool, the child even... that just might've killed his wife and himself indirectly. (They had Harry when they were 20. Lily and James were children raising a baby, it's so tragic.) SORRY for not sticking to canon, I'm just a better writer than Ms. Just Kidding. 💀 FUCK IT. I'M THE AUTHOR OF HARRY POTTER. IT WAS ME ALL ALONG. WHAT IF I TOLD YOU ALL THAT I'VE BEEN RE-WRITING THESE GOD-FORSAKEN BOOKS SINCE I READ "Sorcerer's Stone" WHEN I WAS 10!?! Do you all have the balls to write in that Draco got sorted into Hufflepuff? And then Cedric Diggory became an older brother figure to him? I didn't think so. THIS. FANDOM. IS. BALL-LESS.
NO. BALLS.
This is my restaurant now... you're all just eating in it.

Autistic Characters in HP
(FYI: I’m autistic myself and I have autistic children.)
There are two characters in HP I consider autistic (I think they have enough autistic traits that it isn’t just a headcanon) and two other who are often believed to be autistic but I don’t necessarily agree.
Severus Snape
I made a whole post about it.
I also suspect that his mother could be autistic, but we know so little about her that it’s just a headcanon.
Luna Lovegood
She’s very lonely until she becomes a member of the DA.
Her reaction to having friends is peculiar—she makes a mural with their faces and repeated word "friends".
She’s weird and awkward. She doesn’t care about (or isn’t fully aware of) social conventions.
She’s bullied at school.
She’s blunt, almost rude.
She stares too much.
She’s a bit dispassionate and has limited facial expressions.
She has a special interest—(nonexistent?) magical creatures.
Her weird Quibbler glasses may be a form o visual stimming.
Her parents might be autistic too. At least Xenofilius is equally weird.
Neville Longbottom
I don’t think Neville is autistic. I think he’s traumatised. We only have glimpses of his home, but what we know is very problematic.
His parents were tortured so much that they lost their minds. He visits them at the hospital. It must be very difficult for him.
His grandmother is very strict. During the lesson about boggarts Neville considers her a candidate to be his boggart. (I’d argue that Snape is actually a safer candidate to fear or hate—because he’s just a disliked teacher—than his grandmother or MacGonagall—his Head of House who plays a similar role at school as his grandmother at home.)
He feels pressure from his family, especially his grandmother. He gets his father’s wand (even though his family has money to buy him his own), he’s pressured to continue Potions on advanced level in order to become an Auror like his father.
His great uncle Algie made many attempts to squeeze some magic out of him, including throwing him out of the window. Neville understands it that it’s better to be dead than to be a Squib. Neville for years considers himself almost a Squib and that’s why Snape seems so scary to him: he’s a teacher who critisises his performance and Neville understands it as Snape pointing out his lack of magic.
Neville ends up becoming a soft version of an Obscurial. He’s actually a powerful wizard with accidental outbursts of magic. He somehow turns his potions into highly corrosive substances (he melts a couldron during his first lesson and then six couldrons in the fourth year), during Transmutation he accidentally turns his ears into cactuses (GoF) and vanishes one of the legs of his desk (CoS). Contrary to Neville’s belief, Snape doesn’t question his magical talent, he’s frustrated that someone so gifted has such poor academic results. As Snape says, "Longbottom causes devastation with the simplest spells. We’ll be sending what’s left of Finch-Fletchley up to the hospital wing in a matchbox." (CoS) If Neville was almost a Squib, he wouldn’t be able to do all of that. His spells and potions simply wouldn’t work. Justin wouldn’t be in any danger from a Squib.
Neville is very interested in Herbology, but I don’t think it’s an autistic special interest, just a normal passion. Herbology is a subject that doesn’t require wand (and his father’s wand always reminds him of the family pressure to become an Auror), that doesn’t require so much focus and precision like Potions and also that is taught by a very nice teacher. Herbology becomes the only subject where Neville feels safe and in response he begins to like it very much.
Neville is anxious and has problems with his short-term memory—signs associated with stress and trauma.
Neville is shy, but he’s generally liked, he isn’t weird and socially awkward (other than things listed above). He goes with Ginny to the Yule Ball without issues, he becomes a leader of the students rebellion in DH.
His traits might be interpreted as autistic, but I personally think they are explained well by his imperfect family situation and trauma.
Additionally, in the films Neville was portayed as more awkward than in the books. In the books he wasn’t actually awkward but anxious, clumsy and shy.
Percy Weasley
Percy is believed to be autistic by some people, but I also don’t think that’s the case.
We don’t see him with his peers, but we see him repeating the school rumours about Snape during the first feast in PS (so he’s probably been gossiping with other students), he has a girlfriend, he gambles. At the Ministry he’s liked enough to be promoted and have a successful career. He’s considered popular enough to be made a prefect and a Head Boy. It isn’t enough to be just a good student who doesn’t cause trouble, other students must respect you at least to some degree. (I.e. Snape was a good student without detentions, but he was definitely not a good candidate to be a prefect.)
He generally seems normal. He has a normal eye contact, facial expressions and reactions. He seems a little awkward mostly when talking to his brothers who are a bit arrogant and who tend to disrespect him. When he’s famously talking about the couldron bottoms, he’s doing it because Harry’s asked him about his job.
He doesn’t have a special interest, he doesn’t stim, he doesn’t have sensory issues.
Of course, we know so little about Percy that with his personality it’s easy to headcanon him as autistic, but it’s still just a headcanon while Snape and Luna have canonical evidence that they’re actually autistic.
