The Penumbra Podcast's Auranko Crime Family was a perfect fit for this. I liked it when they had the conversation of 'if we are in danger, first save yourself before getting us'. Expecially Juno telling the lot of them that they better not make him leave them.

The next panel shows Rita looking up from her snacks as we see Buddy from behind, hand sassily on her hip (FX: “gasp”). Buddy’s word bubbles say: “Rita, darling. Is this something like what you had in mind?” The next four panels are a brief montage of Rita reacting to Buddy’s and Jet’s costumes. Jet is dressed as Fred and Buddy is dressed as Daphne. Sparkles surround the two of them and an excited ramble from Rita fills the backgrounds of their panels. They are difficult to read, but it is clear Rita is very pleased by their outfits. 

Page 3: The first panel shows Rita looking up at Jet. Her first word bubbles say: “But, Mistah Jet, why ain’t you wearin’ your wig? Mistah Ransom made a big deal of lettin’ you borrow it.” Jet’s word bubble says: “That is precisely the issue, Rita. The wig in question was made to fit the thief, and so it does not fit me.” Rita’s next word bubble says: “Oh! Well, that makes sense.” The next panel shows Jet bending down so Rita can help smooth a loose lock of his hair back into his ponytail. Her word bubbles say: “You look real handsome without it anyway. And it’d be a little weird seein’ you as a blond, I guess.” The next panel shows Jet pulling at his ascot. His word bubbles say: “Could the same be said about the ascot? Surely anyone would recognize me as this character without-.” The final panel shows Rita holding up another disapproving finger. Her word bubbles say: “No, Mistah Jet! You gotta wear it! We gotta look just like they do in the streams and-.” 

Page 4: The first panel shows Nureyev, here called Ransom, entering the kitchen as the door slides open (FX: “fwsh”). His word bubble says: “I hope I’m not too late, Rita.” The next panel shows Ransom from head to knee, posing as he shows off his costume. The door closes behind him (FX: “fwwsh”). Ransom is wearing a short wig, a barely buttoned shirt, a corset, and pants with a belt, as well as some jewelry. He is supposed to look like Shaggy from Scooby Doo but is more Ransom's interpretation of Shaggy. Low cut and tight-fitting. His word bubbles say: “It took a little longer than expected, but the look is finished. In the end, I think it turned out quite flattering.” Rita’s word bubble says: “Mistah Ransom!” The next panel shows the back of Rita’s head as Ransom smiles at her. Her first word bubble says: “That’s not what you’re supposed to look like at all!” Ransom’s word bubbles say: “But Rita, dear. The design that you gave me was so simple. I had to take a few liberties to make it wearable.” Rita’s next word bubble says: “Hmmmph. Fine. But no more changes!” The next panel shows Buddy, Jet, and Ransom all standing side by side in the kitchen, surrounded by sparkles. Rita’s word bubbles say: “The gang’s mostly here. And all lookin’ so beautiful! Now we’re just waitin’ for-.” The final panel shows Rita turning around as she hears the door open behind her (FX: “fwwsh”). Her word bubble says: “Mistah Steel?” 

Page 5: The first panel shows Vespa entering the kitchen. She holds up one hand innocently while holding a cup in the other. She is not in costume, and insteads wears a comfy sweater and shorts. Her word bubble says: “Nope. Just me.” The next panel shows her socked feet as she walks across the kitchen. Her word bubble says: “Just here to get some water and then get far, far away from all this.” The next panel shows Vespa leaning over the sink to fill up her cup as Rita stands behind her. Rita’s word bubble says: “Miss Vespa, why didn’t you wanna dress up for Halloween with the rest of us? It’s fun!” Vespa’s word bubble says: “Do I gotta keep explaining myself?” The next panel shows Vespa’s profile as she frowns. Her word bubble says: “I think it’s stupid, and dumb, and a waste of time, and most of all, it’s-.” Buddy’s word bubble says: “I don’t know, darling.” The next panel shows Vespa blushing in the foreground as Buddy stands behind her, crossing her arms and grinning flirtatiously. Buddy’s word bubbles say: “I think I’d very much enjoy seeing you dressed up as a ghost or ghoul or some other ne’er-do-well. It’d be just like that wonderful date we had on Venus when you-.” Vespa’s word bubble says: “I... uh... yeah, well, I....” The next panel shows the kitchen door opening again, revealing a pair of large, plush, cartoony feet on the other side (FX: “fwwwsh”). Vespa’s word bubbles say: “Even if that’s true, Bud, first of all, it’s nobody’s business. And second, I got enough ghosts in my head to bother tryin’ to dress up as one too.” 

Page 6: The first panel shows Vespa walking back toward the kitchen door, blushing and holding her cup of water aloft. In the background, the kitchen door is open, revealing a dark shape in the doorway lost in shadow. It’s Juno in his costume, though no one has noticed him yet. Vespa’s word bubbles say: “I just want to relax, drink my water, and ignore... literally everything about this.” The next panel shows the other five crew members as they realize Juno is there. Each wears a different expression as they react to his costume, though we cannot see him yet. Vespa looks surprised. Jet and Buddy look amused. Rita looks delighted. And Ransom holds his hand to his mouth as if trying to hold back a giggle. Juno’s word bubbles say: “You know, for once, I’m gonna agree with Vespa. You made the right choice on this one.” The final panel takes up more than half the page and only shows Juno and Vespa. Juno is dressed as Scooby Doo, complete with a collar and Scooby’s grinning head on top of his. Vespa holds her cup to her mouth as she tries to hold back a laugh (FX: “snort”). Juno is rolling his eyes in embarrassment. His word bubble says: “Please don’t laugh.” Vespa’s first word bubble says: “What’s there to laugh about?” This is cut off by another snort (FX: “snort”). Vespa’s final word bubble says: “You look great, Steel.” 

Page 7: This is the final page of the comic and the only one in full color. It shows all six members of the Aurinko Crime Family as if they are posing for a picture in their Halloween costumes. Starting from the top left of the page is Jet Siquliak. He stands tall with his hands behind his back, and he smiles in the direction of where the camera might be. Dressed as Fred, he wears a white shirt with a large blue collar, an orange ascot, and blue bellbottom pants. To the right of Jet is Buddy, who grins at Vespa beside her. Her long red hair is partially tamed by a headband. She is dressed as Daphne, with a knee-length purple dress, a green scarf, and light pink tights. Beside her is Vespa, who has been convinced to dress as a ghost after all. Her costume is grayish blue in color and is in spooky tatters. She holds up the hood of her costume, matching Buddy’s smile and blushing. In front of Jet and Buddy is Rita, who also looks at the camera. She holds up two fingers and grins broadly, her eyes sparkling behind her square frames. Dressed as Velma, she wears a short brown wig, an orange sweater and matching socks, and a red pencil skirt. On the floor in front of the four of them are Ransom and Juno. Ransom is to the left, laying horizontally so the camera can catch his whole body. He poses, propped up on one arm and with his long legs crossed. He is sort of dressed as Shaggy, with an unbuttoned green shirt, a brown corset, and brown pants, though of course he has included jewelry and high heels as well. He grins flirtatiously at Juno, who sits with his legs over one of Ransom’s and blushes at Ransom’s affections. He is dressed as Scooby Doo, so his hands and feet are cartoonish paws and Scooby’s head sits on top of his own, as if Juno’s face was in Scooby’s mouth. He sits slightly hunched, his knees up near his chest and his paws in his lap. His tail extends to the right.

I have this headcanon in my brain that Peter Nureyev does not fall asleep with others in the room. UNLESS he trusts them. Falling asleep makes him vulnerable. he’s only vulnerable in front of certain people - Juno steel, for one. Slip, in the past.

While living aboard the Carte Blanche, he willingly falls asleep with Juno in the room, knowing he can trust him and be vulnerable with him. But, when Nureyev breaks his leg and has to be sedated, he freaks out a little. Juno says, “don’t worry, I’ll protect you.”

And while he’s sedated, resting in the infirmary, especially vulnerable, he’s attacked.

Something something, Juno having to learn to help himself before he can genuinely commit to helping others, Juno learning to allow himself to be sentimental but not hold on too tightly anyway, Juno being able to let go of his crime family so they can grow but knowing that doesn't mean he has to leave them in the past, Juno finally allowing himself to go after what he wants, something something his personal emotional growth is amazing and I'm so proud of him, something something wait is Rita not human,

Me realizing that since Buddy has been to a Hanataba clinic atleast three times, that most likely means that everytime she was under she had to relive Vespa's death
