Headcanon that Nureyev is actually a very normal height but everyone (cue Juno) thinks he’s really tall because not only is he always wearing massively dramatic heels but he also has inserts in them. I mean. He’s Nureyev. It’s not totally out of the question.

Case of the Murderous Mask from Nureyev's perspective, though. You are a master thief doing yet another con and this time you're larping as a secret agent/occult nerd. it's gonna be easy peasy. you've done this a hundred times before.

except you're teaming up with a cute and messy detective and oh, you work incredibly well together in dangerous situations. oh, he opens up and gets vulnerable around you. he believes he can stand up for what's right in an unjust world no matter how futile. oh shit he's clever he's oh so clever and he sees through your mask and sees you for who you are. this should be a bad thing considering you are a career criminal but instead it's the hottest thing you've ever seen. he's the first person to discover the real you through sheer cleverness in twenty years. you make out with him and ask him to run away with you. he says no. you tell him your most dangerous secret instead.

I have to wonder how many times John saw Arthur catatonic with grief or despair, his devastation magnified beyond endurance by the miasma of the Dark World.

How he spoke of one of the Dark World's heightened states being unable to stop crying.

How there was nothing John could possibly have done to soothe the pain-- but he did know how to Make It Stop.

I wonder how many of those bodies were mercy kills.
