James:

1. what i most like about them

I love that he has a very strong moral code (even though it’s not my own personal moral code haha) it makes analyzing and characterizing him very consistent for me (i know people say James is contradictory but to me he really isn’t, a lot of his behavior is explainable and coherent when you understand this moral code)

2. what i hate about them

This is stupid and mean but every time I read his lines I imagine him having a really annoying squeaky voice, and while it does make me laugh I end up irritating myself

4. fav fic w them in it

“The Secret in the Heart of the Forest” by myrskytuuli

I mentioned this fic in the last post but this is my all time favorite James! I usually have trouble staying interested in him as a character but I feel like he is so compelling here!

6. a headcanon someone else has

Hm I try not to get into height discourse but I like @carniferous hc that he is the most average male in terms of height BUT he was considered tall up until he was 15 (important)

Sirius:

1. what i most like about them

I think @thistlecatfics mentioned this but I really love how much he respects other people’s autonomy, it’s a running theme for him. (also him being a prisoner makes it that much more meaningful and devastating to me. I mean prison is dehumanization embodied and your agency becomes severely limited, so his constant affirmation of other’s right to what he was so unjustly deprived of is very striking)

2. what i hate about them

His inconsistency in regards to elf slavery is a bit annoying to read, I know the point is that he’s supposed to be hypocritical because of his bias/trauma (and that’s kinda a big character trait for him!) but I still get frustrated lol

6. a headcanon someone else has

I’ve always liked Sirius + punk music! I think he engages with it in a shallow way and would definitely be considered a poser, but I think that makes it 10 times better for me haha
