spell write-up: money box

(this is a very messy description of my long-term money spell. enjoy!)

first of all – i decided to do a money box instead of a money bowl for two reasons: i dont have that much space (and thus need to be able to fit things on top of other things), and im quite clumsy and prone to knocking things over on accident.

i bought a silk(?) piece of clotch to line a small box. the primary ingredients were rice, cinnamon, a drawn solar symbol, a written prayer, and possibly more herbs though i dont really remember. over time i added a LOT more things – cedar oil, basil, a key, flower petals, vanilla… basically anything and everything i had in the cupboard, in small amounts. not all of it was money-specific; sometimes i add things to bring peace to my financial matters, for instance. indeed i consider the variety useful in symbolizing multiple income sources.

i work the box every thursday during the hour of jupiter, usually first thing in the morning, since i think about december? january? the couple of times i missed it i would do it after sunrise on sunday. the standard procedure is lighting the designated candles, ‘mixing’ the contents while thanking the involved spirits (oh yeah i involved a number of entities in this) and burning incense as offering, adding something (new or more), continuing the mixing while talking specifically about what im currently in need of, thanking the sun and jupiter another time, closing the box and blowing out the candles (so the smoke may carry my wishes to the entities in question).

i actually dont really do specific petitions atm, hoping to add that to the repertoire in the coming weeks, along with writing more prayers (rn i just have the one). this has been my longest term magical operation (so far!) and i really want to continue it… functionally indefinitely, so it may change over time, as it already has.

the major conclusions are thus:

1. people are not kidding when they recommend a money Bowl. the effects are definitely strongest on thursdays, to the point where it feels like the universe conspires to bring me money Only on those days (very rarely on wednesdays). im hoping to move my workings to a nice bowl as soon as i have the space – possibly also work it more often? not sure how achievable that is for me, though.

2. a big container is a must, not because of the amount of contents but because of the ease of interaction it offers. though also because of the amount yes.

3. basil is awesome for bursts of cash when necessary; however…

4. this is definitely more of a long-term project than an emergency solution. ive noticed a significant build-up effect, where at the beginning it wasnt very strong but now its, well, bending reality for real. however, with the ingredients and work ive used and done its less so about specific amounts and moreso because of the opportunities it seems to generate – at least from my unemployed perspective. possibly very detailed petitions could work around it?

5. leaving cash in the box is not only good magically, it also makes it smll very good. this is a very fun thing when youre giving people cash n u see them go Huh?

i think thats the bulk of it? i dont want to be too specific just in case, but im open to answering questions if anyones interested. in conclusion, i would highly recommend this spell type(?), as long as you give it ample time to kick in. i imagine it could be adapted to a lot of traditions and practices!

what is favourite all time 5 cdramas are.....? im currently looking for recommendations on what to watch

girl i simply cannot pick my 'top x amount of anything' because i immediately start considering too many variables and my head explodes, but really it depends very much on what you enjoy. so far i have only watched costume dramas (though i'm still staring longingly at the next station is marriage (2015) and crying at the lack of english subtitles) but even those that i've seen vary drastically in terms of style and genre. take the starry love (2023) and three kingdoms (2010) for example and they are as different as chalk and cheese, but i loved both!

from an entirely objective point of view, i think the one drama which is a must see, on the basis of its strengths in regards to storyline, costumes, music, characters and overall design is nirvana in fire (2015). the plot is quite complicated and you might still have no effing clue who half the characters are 20 episodes in (like me) but it's still SO worth it my the end and everything ties up perfectly. so if you haven't seen it, that's my no. 1 recommendation.

if you're the right kind of insane and interested into a gritty, deep-dive into real history, and aren't put off by a show that's:

25% crusty old men riding around on horses

25% crusty old men stabbing and killing each other with fire

25% crusty old men sitting around in rooms discussing the merits and drawbacks of stabbing and killing each other with fire

25% crusty old men forming borderline homoromantic devotions/obessions with each other, holding hands every 5 seconds and crying buckets of manly tears

then i recommend the three kingdoms (2010). i'm very silly about it and i love it to pieces. also some of them aren't even that crusty and old, and are actually kinda pretty. there are also a couple of women on screen once in a while.

if you enjoy history but want something that's even more dedicated to homo-eroticism abut also more palatable to the wider fandom tastes regarding overall aesthetic, then you should absolutely watch the advisors alliance (2017). i made a whole-ass power point about that the other day which you can read here!

if you insist on all your romance being subtextually gay, then there's always the untamed and word of honor, but they're already super popular within the cdrama fandom so i'm sure you're probably already familiar with them, and i just don't feel like talking about them right now so i won't. like don't get me wrong they are good i was obsessed with them back when i first saw them but idk, i just feel kinda over them both atm.

(p.s if you really wanna see boys kiss there's always meet you at the blossom (2024) which was made in thailand specifically so the boys could kiss. it was ok i guess, but it was too short and romcom-y at the time for me to really get into. literally the only character i cared about what su yin).

another show i watched recently that i really enjoyed was the sleuth of ming dynasty (2020). it's another one that has a bit of everything - great characters, found family, gorgeous costumes, subtle bl undertones, humour, a solid plot. 10/10 would recommend.

if you need yuri in your life then sadly there's not a lot, but legend of yunze s1 and 2 (2021) plus the subsequent special (2022) is a nice little watch. the format is kinda jarring as the episodes are all like, 4 minutes long but if you have a spare couple of hours one day you should give it a shot!

finally we get onto aggressively heterosexual high fantasy, of which i have seen three:

love between fairy and devil (2022) - i really enjoyed this, and not just because i was simping hard over dongfang qingcang and the tang dynasty hanfu lmao. the female lead is a bit too gratingly cutesy at times, but it's still a great sweet story with an alright ending and it also made me cry.

the starry love (2023) - the one i forced my mum to watch with me, and is probably the corniest, silliest c drama i have personally seen - but in a good way! one of the female leads starts off kinda annoying but she mellow and grows up as the story progresses. meanwhile her twin sister is a precious cinnamon roll who has never done anything wrong in her life (linguang qingkui my beloved i'm not good enough for you but please marry me)

til the end of the moon (2023) - confession time: i remember basically jackshit about this drama because it failed to hold my attention and it just kept jumping around the place. i also hated the ending, but i know a lot of people still rate it highly.

so yeah that's basically every c drama i've seen so... go wild i guess?

Hiii since you said you were interested in what others think about the whole Sami/Bron/MITB situation.... I have thoughts and it's a bit much to write in the comments so, Here goes... (this isn't even all the thoughts BTW 😂

@thesmallworldofsamizayn I got to agree a bit there, with your statement of Bron being unstoppable and Sami being the underdog, as well as getting sick of the comments being made about Sami being the Champ. Usually I don't really give into or pay much attention to all the talk, and if I do, it only makes me want to fight harder, but I'll be honest; this time round, Sami doesn't NEED the belt...

He's good enough on his own and he's proven it time and time again. It was a nice icing on the cake type situation (having the belt), but, the point is that there is and was plenty of delicious cake already there! (if that makes any sense) So bottom line, he'll survive without it, he can survive without it. If anything, it'll probably light a bigger fire under him, reigniting that fiery passion of his. The one that keeps drawing us to him and into his world.

Honestly, this is going to sound so bad, but I won't be overly upset if/when Sami drops the belt (note I too am an avid Sami fan and I'd be a bit sad, but not devastated). To me (personally), before he won the IC championship, and even though he had more loses than wins, he was more intriguing to watch. Idk why, and may be it's just me atm, after that long drawn out (weeksss of) Alpha Academy saga - may be that's what's got me feeling this way fn...

A few weeks ago I would have said that they are building up to Chad winning it, but now that Bron and Sheamus are involved who knows the hands the title will eventually fall into. Also, it's going to be hard to get Sami to drop the belt this quick (even though it's been what? A couple of months now already?) when it clearly (you can SEE it) means so much to him... It'll be hard but they'll eventually have to do it. So may be MITB will be it.

Also got to agree a bit here with @shanie too, I would love to see Sami get involved in the BL saga and if there's anyone who believes in redemption, always seeing the good in people, fighting for the greater good, and what's good and right AND against all odds, it's Sami Zayn. He's got the innate need to rescue people out of toxic situations and to fix said situation. So he would definitely fit the narrative if they decide to insert him into it.

BUT the big issue is with the fans. Again. There's quite certainly going to be a LOT of hate if this happens. I'm already hearing rumblings of people unhappy with just the mere thought of it. Saying he's not family so why is he involving himself in it, as much as that's true, have they completely forgotten that he in fact was a THE 'honorary Uce'? The closest an 'outsider' has ever gotten to the family or being 'family'? Heck he almost became 'Sami Uso'.

So in the end people can and will make up their own minds and there nothing anyone can do about it. And also in the end each to their own I guess... (BTW people need to chill out and remember this is fiction NOT real life 😭)

hello! thank you very much for these detailed thoughts. youve actually articulated a lot of what i was feeling. first, the fact that a) i dont like seeing fans bitch about sami and b) i especially dont like it when they're kind of right. it is someone else's turn, and maybe yeah that person should have been chad. i was more than ready for it to be chad at catc personally. im not too mad that it's gone in a different direction cause it does actually look like they have other storyline ideas for chad now, but as far as sami's concerned, yeah the belt isn't doing anything more for him now than it has till this point. it's weird to think he hasn't held a title as a face since the nxt championship 10 years ago. but thinking back on that, and everything since, everything he's been so good at - yeah, im not sure that long term champion is the right look on him! he won it in 2014 and lost it devastatingly to kevin 2 months later, and i would not have wanted that to happen any other way.

thing is, i will be sad if sami loses to bron at mitb. especially if he loses clean, not unlike he did to kevin all those years ago, futilely continuing to kick out long after he should have quit until he's physically incapable of doing so. what's maybe harder to explain as a wrestling fan is that i want to be sad about sami zayn. i like those heavy emotions, i like feeling like my favourite character can't catch a break. that's the entire essence of the underdog appeal. further to that, this is kind of the state im most used to and therefore most comfortable in when it comes to characters im invested in. in the words of mitski, i bet on losing dogs. and sami winning was an incredible feeling and so deserved, but i really don't mind him losing! he's both more compelling overall and gets more interesting stories, and just inspires so much sympathy in that position. (look i also like seeing him in pain i'll say it. he clearly likes acting being in pain just as much so everyone's happy i think)

then there's the bloodline and yeah, i'd sit up to watch sami back with those guys especially roman. im apparently one of the few people who really doesn't want roman to come back as a face no matter how much the fans cheer him, but if he is going to have a face turn, it's got to involve sami god damn it. i was just talking with @milk-crater about this, how it makes more sense with sami being a bit more removed, because that makes him a better person to forgive roman, and to be his moral guide. also it's sami, if anyone in all pro wrestling would reach out a hand to a genuienly remorseful roman reigns it's him. all that and the two just have such great chemistry, and it was the baseline for everything that made the honorary uce arc so fantastic and beloved, and it'd be nice to come back to some of that. maybe show these smarks what they've forgotten about why sami is the absolute best again.

you won't get disappointed in kuro games when it comes to their fanservice lol their other game, punishing gray raven is basically like a hack & slash game with a side of dating sim lmao, the pining and yearning and looooots of angst. the plot is good too and very dark.

though the downside is there are few men, they only release one male character a year and im hoping they won't do it to wuwa :")

the downside just might be too harsh for me lol. ofc I don't only play for the characters; but to go into more detail, zzz is a good example. zenless zone zero has a rly good world built, and the story telling is v well done, it is just so enjoyable and light and easy and... there wasn't a single new man/masc character on banner since release (until this one with the 4 star Seth Lowell). I honestly had to bench zzz and wuwa (I did jump into wuwa the other day to check up on stuff), cos playing 4 gacha games as a min-maxer isn't something I could afford timewise. for the case of zzz, where the MAJORITY of the game is combat and I basically have low choices with masc characters, it made it less enjoyable for me ngl. I get it, fem characters make them money, and sadly the characters themselves also suffer for it. how many times are they made shallow, without depth or any good characteristics and history, just cos it is enough to slap abnormal bodily autonomy to attract people who only care about the physicality? (I'm talking about gacha games in general, & I'm not saying that this is every fem character).

whereas when it is about masc characters they make more of an effort. (patriarchy keeps hurting the world even when the games have more fem than masc) and when they do make fem characters without the "assets" they make them a foggy age (basically many ppl assume the character is a minor), and they develop a much better story surrounding them. ex., Huohuo (hsr), Furina, Hutao (gi).

my point being around zzz/wuwa; I may come to play the game for the world and the story and the lore (I'm huge on world exploration and the story) but once I complete everything and there's a whole month before the next update, I'm left with the characters I got, and building them. and when it lacks characters that appeal to me and my preferences it sucks asf and I'll keep playing, but to have low to no (hi3) options of masc characters- it does affect my motivation to continue playing it.

regarding wuwa they have really good and diverse masc characters (genshin could make more men like that), moreover in comparison to zzz, they (wuwa) actually release new masc characters. I can say I'm quite satisfied, as a Jiyan/Calcharo main (Xiangli Yao has my attention atm he's a pretty one+clever) tho I wonder when we will meet Calcharo in game (did I miss something help?).

hmmm... well first of all, i would like to say i personally never was a fan of the whole "collectors are emotionless assholes by default but our colly is ⁂⁕special⁕⁂ so hes different" like THATS SO STUPID!!! AND DEFEATS SO MUCH OF THE PURPOSE OF IT BEING IMPACTFUL HE CHOSE BY HIMSELF TO BE GOOD! i think the collector/archivist species is likely very very complicated and has a very rich history and hierarchy we just will never know abt in canon bc 1. theyre not the focus here and 2. well it kind of. ended. so.

BUT WELL. RIGHT! COLLYS FATE! SO UHM.

well. i have good n i have bad feelings about it.

ill start with the bad: i do wish we had seen more of him in the future timeskip, and that he had gotten a more permanent residence. i thiiink the archives are still intact around the titan skull (dont quote me on it though id need to look again), so, no reason why my future idea couldnt be canon with him living there n repurposing them. i think theres definitely a better solution than just sending him away, he couldve still had his little corner to learn stuff, just closer to the ppl he loves n that DO love him back.

HOWEVER.

heres where the good starts: i think it was actually a good idea for him to not become a noceda or a clawthorne. first of all because there was not enough of a bond between himself n those families to want to adopt him, specially there was a lot of trauma involved that cant be erased with how much he wishes to be good for them now. they still clearly care about each other, but theyre not family, maybe theyll never be, n thats fine. theres also another reason, but going into it would require... me being pretty bold about something thats been nagging on my brain ever since the episode aired, and actually talking about that might devolve into a bigger post in and of itself. i MAY make that post in the future and lose my fear of talking about, but im being cautious for now. all im gonna say about it atm is that if they had made him a noceda or a clawthorne, making him kings sibling, it wouldve made things... very awkward. and bad. so.

i think theres also a pretty fatalistic pessimistic way the fandom seems to be viewing this end: its never stated colly went back to the archivists at all, just "the stars", and its not even immediately after the finale events neither is it permanent- he had to have stayed around at least long enough to make that new portal door, and he visits frequently if king mentioning him being around to do something for luzs bday is any indication (not to mention that book lilith was holding that seemed to be about titans and collectors - i think colly mustve helped with info for that right).

me and the archive house server have actually been discussing this quite a bit, and we have reached the conclusion that the best way to describe this was that they "pulled a snufkin". collector is a space vagabond that travels around once in a while and then eventually always comes back to tell of their spoils to the people he still cares about most. and while that may not be satisfying to people who wanted him to be lovingly adopted into a welcoming family, i think its a good enough fate considering he might not even want a family out of the clawthornes, but rather just to be close to king.

and im sure maybe in the future he might decide to settle again at the isles for a more permanent residence. the future is in OUR hands now! we decide what to do with these characters and their future lives, and ive got a LOT of ideas.

[Camile] is an Italian-Brazilian girl born and raised in the Philippines. She was friends with Andi when she was younger because of their shared judo classes, their bond being a core memory. She had a vacation in Brazil to visit family and when she returned back to the Philippines she couldn’t find her Andi ever again. She is the class president, and is a very good one at that. Many girls in the school look up to/admire her, while the boys have a dislike toward her because of her popularity. She developed an obsession with Andi because of their past. She switched from judo to brazilian jiu jitsu after she accidentally went to some classes in Brazil. She is one of the top honor students, planning to move out of the Philippines and to Brazil for a better future. She knows the basics of Italian and Portuguese but cannot hold long conversations. She feels better using English; Tagalog she’s pretty average with it. Even though she’s butch, she wears the girls’ uniform so people in the school still ‘trust’ her. Her father is Italian while her mother is Brazilian. Both of them used to travel a lot before they decided to settle down in the Philippines. [I’m still unsure what to do with their jobs so it’s undecided right now] but because of the amount of time they spent with their jobs, Camile had to spend a lot of her time in the house alone. She used to be quite carefree as a child but after Andi moved away, she suddenly turned very strict toward others. When she met up with her friend again, her carefree nature returned, but she only showed this side of herself to Andi.

Pretty obvious, but they're set in the philippines, their school being a public school. Might set this around the 2018-2019 era because that's the education system I remember. (I might update this when I know more about the current system tho)

Fun facts about them/things i couldn't add because im rushing:

Andi's first name is taken from Andromeda, the constellation. Not only this, but Andi means courageous, strong and -- apparently -- masculine.

Andi's second and last names, Hirundo and Bulalakaw, mean sparrow in latin and meteor/shooting star in tagalog respectively. (h-hopefully...)

Camile's first name is taken from chamomile, the flower. Not just because it's a flower, but also because the flower references apples. The name Camile also means noble and free-spirit.

Camile's last names, Esteva and Leone, have Spanish and Italian origins. Esteva means crowned with laurels while Leone is lion.

Their birthdays, June 27 and July 26, are just the reversed versions of the other's. 6/27 (Andi) and 7/26 (Camile).

The both of them mainly take inspiration from Junna, Nana, Futaba and Kaoruko but the others were slowly picked up along the way.

Camile is half Italian because of memedub Nana, that's literally it.

Ivan and Till were purely by accident because of my older sibling pointing out how similar they are to them.

Camile actually dresses more masculine casually, but she wears the girls' uniform because of the reasons stated above.

Andi owns a red bike, as in, a bicycle. Her parents don't allow her to own a motorcycle.

Andi used to get injured alot, which caused both Camile and Andi's mother to treat her almost all the time.

They have a 6 cm difference, with Camile being taller.

Andi used to call Camile 'Cammy' when they were younger, now she just calls her Camile. (Camile is disapointed about this.)

im actually kinda stumped on how to continue this one mainly because of the breeding kink being the primary focus and the reader initially being gn. i feel iffy doing this to my fellow gn readers as well, as i don't wish to exclude them and i don't think im that good of a writer to pull off a gn smut.

i could just do two versions tbh because its a little different between if the reader is afab and if they're amab.

if afab, theyre actually kinda in for some bad time because there's so many males around, possibly around 30 to even 50, and there's a lot of dp to go around because they're sharing them.

if amab, there's not many females around at all, maybe around 4 young adult ones (with the rest being old ladies), though that's not to say the males wouldn't touch them because they def would though lol but i kinda imagined that being amab they wouldn't be in too high of demand and would be given breaks. plus, they don't have to worry about getting pregnant.

lmao i totally get that. I think it will always be a bit of a personal preference thing, just like some ppl love some writing styles which others cant stand, same with lyrics.

I personally love the lyric writing that tells a good story i can see in my head, and the song creates an atmosphere which you can touch and even smell. I think Taylor's strength is in her storytelling, which shines through especially in folklore and evermore. Now every album she releases has its misses and its hits. I don't love "Lover" that much bc it's a bit too happy poppy for me, though the song "Lover" itself tells a very palpable feeling. Now many people have been dissing the latest album's cringey lyrics for a while, and while I hate them too (god the vigilante one is such a skip its unreal), i actually like some songs with cringey lyrics. "Anti-hero" really grew on me bc it's Taylor self-analising and talking about how she is her own worst critic, which is something we all experience, and I think she made it in a fun self-deprecating way in the song that still delivers the message. other songs in the album which i love and dont have those kinds of cringe lines are "you're on your own, kid" ("'Cause there were pages turned with the bridges burned/Everything you lose is a step you take"), "Lavander Haze" ("The only kind of girl they see (only kind of girl they see)/Is a one-night or a wife"), "High Infidelity" ("Do you really want to know where I was April 29th?/Do I really have to chart the constellations in his eyes?"), "Would've, Could've, Should've" ("If I was some paint, did it splatter/On a promising grown man?/And if I was a child, did it matter/If you got to wash your hands?") (tbh I love all the lyrics in this song it's my fave atm).

Sorry for the long post! I really feel like Taylor's best lyrics are hidden away in her albums many times, but I do get how she gets called a good lyricist, because she is good at telling stories in them. I believe many people look at her stuff from a biased perspective most of the time bc of the way the media has portrayed her in part, and also bc she got a lot of hate from misogynists when she was young and it stayed around as mindless hate/disregard. She isnt the greatest ever but she's earned her reputation as a lyricist imo.

ramble: thing is, im actually not sold on huskerdust as a romantic couple atm (in future? who knows) but i do like whatever foundations loser baby set up for their general dynamic as a whole and i can work from that with whatever direction the canon chooses to go in, which is proooobably romantic, considering the cues (but again, who knows)

this as a microcosm of general things that at times have me go "hmmm" about the first season, which most of the time (not always, but mostly) comes down to pacing. husk isn't a character with much focus in s1. his dynamic with angel, while not not set-up could be seen as a "yeah, we'll put those two together," rather than feeling totally organic. most of husk's and angel's dynamics before loser baby have been about husk not wanting angel in his space and then not much (anything?) between ep4 and ep8 that wasn't at least partly group-based

i could pick up on other non-huskerdust related things that came out of the blue and went quite quickly, especially in the latter half of the season, where the jump from "six months" to "one month" to "now" felt kind of jarring

but in the end 8 episodes is indicative of general show culture these days where it seems everyone has to fight tooth and nail to even get that much per season, when really hazbin hotel s1 wanted at least 12 episodes in order to have more time to breathe and set up character dynamics not at breakneck speed, and heck, maybe 8 was the original goal. i doubt it though, hiiighly doubt it

all this to say i have a lot of grace for wherever the show does take things if it's trying to push so much into whatever time it's been offered with the ever-hanging (but perhaps slightly less-so post-strikes?) uncertainty of cancellation after 2 seasons. the conditions to create a story and then get that story out there... suck. and it's harder for 8 episodes (or even 12) to hide flaws than a 22 episode season of yore (with its own issues as construct but still... easier to disguise blemishes and take their time)

on the flipside helluva boss seems content to just keep trucking at whatever speed it's on, doing pretty much what it wants to do, but without any Big backing a la amazon and with everyone involved doing 100 other projects at the same time. so... sometimes it does things well, sometimes less-well, but overall just... vibing. 25ish min episode at a time every 3-5 months. granted i haven't experienced the personal pain of that yet, having started it in january, but on it goes and i'll be suffering soon enough

for very different reasons im pretty forgiving of pacing-related stuff that might (has and probably will again) come up in either show. more than anything they've got very visible constraints, so im happy to fill in the blanks with fandom -- for example if huskerdust is written as romantic by the end without developing properly, ive seen ample cool ideas and fanarts that give it more texture and breadth and/or i'll simply look at other things with the characters that aren't shipping them together -- because mainly they're just very fun shows with a bunch of messy queer characters in them, with some great singing and voice acting. the universe of these stories is so open and welcoming to play in, im just in it for a good time

also, in the end, no they're not that deep (except for when they want to be), but they're also a still-rare example of queer genre tv for adults that isn't that deep, but still incorporates relevant queer narrative themes in fun, moving, often complex ways, especially genre tv where lead characters tend to be queer until proven otherwise and this queerness in and of itself is well-written and nuanced. like yeah, i am in it for plots that hopefully stick the landing in the end, but if they don't they were still a very fun, inviting time that had me as a target audience and this a rare privilege to have with a bit of fun fiction

what am i saying in the end? loser baby is a banger, thank you for the song and all the other songs. i think angel dust and fizzarolli should hang and make out and talk about terrible bosses sometime, but the likelihood of these shows having a crossover with all the weird copyright stuff around these days is probably minimal. it's fine. (argh)

these are all good questions okay my book atm is young mungo douglas stuart i read it for the first time while travelling i got it in paris at the shakespeare and co book shop!! i read it during quite a difficult time too in the end but it provided a catharsis i found and very much allowed me to be absorbed in a story when i didn't want to be thinking about real life. i haven't actually read it again i definitely think i will this year im curious to see what else i get out of it now that i'm in a different head space but i just loved the prose and the story the mungo/dog motif .....

i always recommend girl woman other by bernadine evaristo!! i think it's because i really enjoyed it and it got me out a reading slump + i just feel like everyone i know pretty much would enjoy it and get something out of it :-)

there's a few answers i could put but i'll say a little life even though i used to recommend it. i think it's worth reading (depending on the person) but it's a pretty deeply distressing book that needs a lot of caveats to it.

AH ANON! well, first and foremost, i love the hell out of it so far, so i’m going to preface this with saying that i’m most likely biased hehe

okay so!! it’s hard to talk too much about the gacha since the game has only just come out (and i’ve only been playing for 7 days!) but at this current moment they have a ton of events going on to celebrate launch so it’s fairly easy to earn items + materials from those. i don’t know how easy it’ll be in the future, but one thing i’m really loving is the fact that you can buy wishes (pulls) from the shop using in-game currency that is also (atm) easy to earn.

there’s actually a ton of stuff you can buy using in game currency, though this is slowly revealed to you as you unlock more and more currencies (there’s diamonds, heartsand, stardust, chocolates, oracle dice) and there’s only a few outfits locked away behind actual real life money.

they make it difficult to get sucked in, because chapters are locked behind specific levels. for example, for two days i was stuck waiting to unlock chapter 6, because i was level 41, and you have to be level 42 to unlock it. this is kind of the only gripe i have with the game at the moment, because earning exp to level up can only be done through daily tasks, and you always earn the same amount of exp every day—meaning the higher level you become, the longer you have to wait to reach the required level to unlock the next chapter. i’m hoping they’ll introduce more ways to earn exp soon!

other than that, i love it so much. i love all three love interests, i think the writing is fairly good for an otome game (it isn’t super cheesy or cringe) not only in dialogue but in story and all of the other reading material they provide you with (and it’s a LOT!). i love the world building as well, i think it’s quite well done!!! you learn a lot through diegetic sources, (news articles, notes, anecdotes, etc) which i think is super cool. i think the characters are distinct from one another (especially in their texting styles, which is another thing i found super cool; i love rafayel’s absolute lack of fucking punctuation) and well developed!! all of the material you can unlock with them using memories (the cards you pull for, basically) is super super cute, and there’s a ton of that, too. honestly, in terms of material, it’s a little overwhelming especially at first. but the game unlocks features slowly with you, and the tutorials give you a good grasp on everything!

i don't find the battle system difficult at all, especially if you play through all of the training they have, and it’s actually quite fun!!

honestly, i’d say give it a try before all of those events end and see if it’s something you’d be interested in!! at this current moment, you literally won’t be able to be sucked in after like, your first day playing, because the game will lock you out of the next chapter, like i said. it’s a good time to just feel it out and take it for a test-drive, so to speak!

hiii taku i come with bonten takeomi & natsu brainrot. also it’s a lot bc i can’t shut up abt them help. this is just copy paste of me being insane abt them to my qpp bc i’m too lazy to type it all again but yeah

basically their vibe is when takeomi is too tired of bonten's shit he visits natsu's tiny flat and she cooks spaghetti or smth that they have with wine before they slow dance to music playing on the old record player she stole from her parents when moving out and when they're sleepy enough they put on a shitty old movie and fall asleep cuddling trying to watch it. also they go to clubs together, they are friends though often get mistaken for a couple, and they have kissed quite a bunch of times. not sure if this part is canon but they might've fucked a bunch of times too and i can assure you if they did they both stood on a balcony to smoke together afterwards they 100% smoke and drink together (maybe a little too often) and their whole thing is pretty ride or die oriented,, they're together to have fun and forget the shitty parts of their lives. to be themselves for once. to have someone who understands and relates

also natsu is the oldest of five siblings and she fucked up all of her sibling relationships bc she used to be in a gang and her siblings are still all in a gang, all the same one, but a different one from hers. and yeah shit went down when their gangs fought and natsu's won. she'd now like to fix her relationship with her siblings but they don't even accept her calls most of the time and it's even more one-sided than takeomi & sanzu :(( but it's also one of the biggest things that make them relate to each other ajdkfkhsj i think they start venting to each other too bc they understand v much how the other feels yk

also more natsu sibling drama but even tho she left her gang her siblings are still in a gang as i've mentioned before n it's a LOT smaller than bonten more just beating up people for fun and some minor drug smuggling but natsu gets jumped by some gang members every other week/month n she's pretty good at defending herself but she still calls takeomi to pick & patch her up sometimes bc yk she just wants some comfort in her situation...

okay maybe i am more than just a little insane about them but like. they <33 also me on my 'wtf is defining a relationship' agenda again but i think they're mostly friends but also like. they fuck labeling their relationship they just know it's very much not romantic. but could be fuck all apart from that tbh. friends? fwbs? smth between? god knows but they're close and not romantic that's all that matters
