I have so many thoughts about Sokka and Kya. I feel like Sokka is never given the chance to grieve, when in reality he’s the oldest and probably has much clearer memories of her than Katara does. Every time I say that, someone always says “but he said himself he doesn’t remember her face!” but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t remember her.

He remembers her holding him close on nights when it was so cold even the animal furs couldn’t keep him warm, curled up against her chest. He remembers her placing him on her lap, a baby Katara in his arms as she nuzzled into his hair and told him what a good big brother he would grow up to be. He remembers her taking him out in the canoe to cheer him up after his dad insisted he was too young to go hunting. He remembers her forehead kisses.

But the pain proves to be too much and he doesn’t deal with his grief the way Katara does. He isn’t open about it, he doesn’t get a chance to process on his own terms. He shuts it down, he has a responsibility to his sister, his tribe and later, the world. and because of these feelings he’s repressed, because he never gets to talk about her, cry over her, because he has to appear to be the strongest person, the big brother, the protector, his fear of forgetting her manifest into him forgetting her face. a common trauma response that kids have when they’ve lost a parent, and it’s so tragic because Sokka looks just like her.

That doesn’t mean he doesn’t feel the loss of his mother, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t remember her and it sure as hell doesn’t mean he doesn’t love her as much as Katara does, it means they deal with things differently. When Katara said “you didn’t love her the way I did” it might have hurt, but I don’t think she meant she loved her more, I think it means they loved her differently. they both saw different things in Kya and enact their love for her in various ways.

But Sokka should get to process his grief, should get to cry and be comforted. He should be able to let his memories of her flow, and enter his mind without guilt and be able think about them when he needs some respite.

Adna/tifasrce/misadnary/dreamgirlyuri being racist, disrespecting fan artists, and having inappropriate relationships with minors

Adna is a white 23-year-old woman.

She has consistently called women of colour she disagrees with on shipping or characterizations "ugly".

Adna also has a pattern of telling people to harm themselves or kill themselves over fictional characters and ships, as seen here.

Here Adna is su!c!de baiting someone with highly inappropriate, graphic language that disrespects victims of su!cide and self harm and their loved ones. Adna's account was previously suspended by Twitter for her incessant harassment and su!cide baiting, so now she is resulting to using disguised acronyms to tell people to self-harm.

Adna has a pattern of being close with minors. She encourages them openly to participate in harassing people. This is an example of Adna's conditioning of a 15-year-old to speak about people harming themselves because of Adna, a 23-year-old adult.

Here are multiple examples of Adna, a white woman, calling different women of colour ugly and speaking pejoratively about a Black woman's Black features. She is doing this over ship wars, keep that in mind.

Adna, a white woman, consistently has been seen speaking over women of colour and their experiences. She uses performative activism buzzwords and contorts things from fandom as justification for her harassment and pattern of speaking over WOC. Adna insists she knows better than WOC and talks down to them, insisting that it is harmful for them to ship something.

Adna also has a pattern of calling WOC "mentally ill" and making light of mental illness in an ableist way.

Adna also obsessively posts about bullying people who ship Zutara. In the first image, the person retweeting that post is, again, a minor.

These are only a few examples. Since Adna's original account was taken down, many of her harassment posts have been lost.

Adna additionally has posted Zutara art and fanfiction to mock repeatedly. Tumblr limits how many images a post can include, so I couldn't add all the examples, but she did it three times recently to artists and to a fanfic writer. She takes their work, when it says explicitly no posting, puts it on twitter with a degrading caption, and then mocks it with others. She then further insults the work and artist when called out about it.

Recently, Adna has been harassing Makorra shippers, Zutara shippers, Azula stans, and others. She passionately defends the supposed rights of fictional characters at the expense of harming real people, who are often marginalised. She pretends to champion these people, but in her real life interactions, perpetuates harm, ableism, and racism.

was thinking about how in legacy of the fire nation iroh says that katara and zuko both share a deep passion for things and it got me thinking about how they both also had a point of misdirected anger zuko directing his anger with ozai at iroh and katara directing her general anger with losing her mom at zuko (when he joins the gaang) and then I realized that in 'the southern raiders' in a way zuko for lack of better words treats katara very similarly to how iroh treated him during his three years of banishment. like he's patient with her even she lashes out at him for something he had nothing to do with, he tries to turn her away from the path of revenge bc its something he knows won't be fulfilling but she she doesn't back down he supports her anyway and lets her take the lead bc it's her journey and her discovery she needs to make. and in the end when she realizes/decides revenge is not the path she wants to take he once again just encourages her and supports her the way iroh always did for him. and I think it's really nice that whether it was consciously or subconsciously he picked things up from the way iroh treated him all those years. and I also think that ppl always talk about the azula/katara and zuko/sokka parallels alot that they ignore how many zuko/katara and azula/sokka parallels there are.

Honestly? I don't know what Bratty means, but I'll use my imagination and logic and think you were trying to say "Crazy Obsessive."

Anyway, I like to think that Ty Lee kidnaps Azula and puts her in a basement, and manipulates her to be completely dependent on her, and is so obsessive about her lover.

And if it were an omegaverse, I like that Ty Lee, being Alpha, has children with Azula, or also, being Omega, has children with Azula.
