While they had different interests and talents, just like when they were children, the youngest twins were thick as thieves when they were teens. They were happy to spend time together doing each other's hobbies.

Punch-Chump Interview #2 Part I
When did you get into Boxing?
I was not an athletic kid, inhibited ...last chosen for teams, however although I didn't understand what it was, I knew I was different. My first man crush was my grade school gym teacher...I'd stare at his flexed bicep as he held the notebook taking attendance. I didn't have a defining experience...I just remember from an early age being obsessed with muscular abs and thinking the ability to take a gut punch was the ultimate in masculinity. Gymnasts especially got me hot...more than boxers or wrestlers.
What movie had the hottest boxing scene you ever saw?
Pro wrestling did nothing for me. Fight scenes in movies and TV did it for me. I remember one particular episode of Star Trek had Kirk fist fighting an upperclassman from the Academy. Westerns were great too. There was a mini-series called Rich Man, Poor Man where a young Nick Nolte was a fighter...one scene burned in my memory is a guy picking a fight with him at a gas station and he punches him in the gut so hard the man is lifted off the ground folded over his fist. By that time I was a young teen and blew countless loads over the memory of that scene. So sad the series was never put on DVD.
As a teen, it was enough to fantasize about being jumped with my arms pinned back by one or two guys while another works over my exposed gut. Then just pictures of models with defined washboards got me off. What would it be like to be so built? Or to worship a man so built?
Again...I was inhibited...I thought my fantasies were perverted and I did nothing to pursue them.  And gut punching was sex to me...the puncher had to be someone I found hot.
I remember there was an ad in the local gay paper for a message group that sounded interesting, so I went. It was a bit of a bathhouse set up...an empty floor in a townhouse with curtain partitions like an ER with dorm mattresses on the floor...not what I was looking for, but there was a hot wiry guy wrestling some geek on a mat in the main room with some guys sitting around watching. He saw me, got my attention, and seemed interested. Again, way too inhibited to wrestle in the main area, we went back to a secluded area. I am/was by no means a trained wrestler, but I seemed to hold my own, and his compliments got me raging hard. We jacked off, and he came first. Then, like an out of body experience, I heard myself say "Punch me!" He cocked his head to the side as if to say OK, and started punching straight down into my gut. That remains probably the most memorable orgasm of my life! I thought, Wow! That was great! But I didn't expect it to happen again!
Then came the Internet, AOL chat rooms, etc...and I realized I wasn't the only one with the fetish! I've since had some fun times, similar, but not as intense as I put in my blog.
To answer your questions, I regret that I was so shy and inhibited that I never trained in a boxing gym. I felt too weak, geeky, out of shape...certainly not masculine enough.
My early fantasies were staged boxing bouts of body punching...getting forced into the turnbuckle or on the ropes and worked over with gut punches. As I got older, I started fantasizing about taking head shots to the point of being dazed, dropping my guard and being nailed in the gut hard enough to drop me to floor. I still haven't met a man local or traveling to my area by Washington DC to do that with.

If you had to choose---Eric/Donna or Jackie/Hyde?!
Eric/Donna, but I'm definitely in the minority.
1. The friends to lovers trope. :)
2. I identify way more with them than with Jackie and Hyde. I'm definitely an Eric/Donna spawn, for the most part. I'm awkward, willful, and snarky. I'm politically minded, an avid writer, and a big geek (but for history and stuff). I'm not athletic or mechanical, at all, either. There are bits and pieces of Jackie in me, though, from having a loud mouth to being an awful cook.
3. This is weird af, and I've mentioned it plenty of times before, but Eric/Donna remind me of my parents, who were high school sweethearts and such. But not enough to be grossed out. My dad is more of an Eric/Jackie combo (like if Eric was type A and his geekiness stemmed from being an entrepreneur of sorts), and my mom is an introverted, artsy Donna. Who is not all that athletic, but she was an avid skier when she was younger.
*****
I like to write about all of them, though. Eric/Donna, Jackie/Hyde (who are number two), Red/Kitty, Kelso/Brooke, and about Laurie, too. I don't care for Fez, at all.
Season 8 and T9S did them all so dirty, so my verse is a way to fix that (while acknowledging canon, T9S). Even in real life, the Jackie/Kelso (a nicer Jackie, and a smarter Kelso) in my parents' lives were married once, for about a decade, and then divorced. None of this remarriage monkey business, which is so OOC for Jackie. She takes marriage very, very seriously.

I said the basics of this on twitter but I honestly don't understand the sethmer dair comparisons like they're completely different ships. seth was obsessed with summer for years, much like how dan was obsessed with serena (serena, not blair who he apparently fell in love with after 5 minutes of interacting with her at an internship). seth and summer were on the same social standing in terms of wealth, it was more their differering popularity among their peers that prevented them from interacting. it's also worth pointing out that seth is very into comic books and other "geeky" hobbies, which summer wasn't into and looked down on. however, once she kissed him she realised that she did have romantic feelings for him, and that he saw her as more than a fun party girl or marissa's best friend. although initially summer was worried about their peers' reactions to her dating seth, they worked through it and they happily dated publicly at school. even when they broke up everyone could see that they belonged together, and that they still loved each other. they worked so hard to stay together and try to go to college together because they knew that they're meant to be together, and were willing to work on their relationship and adapt to challenges together. their first time together was bad, yes, but that's because they were both virgins who had never had relationships before. they communicated about it and worked through it, like they did throughout their relationship.
dair's first kiss made blair realise she wanted to be with chuck, and made her realise that all that was between her and dan was friendship. blair barely interacted with dan throughout high school because she looked down on his social standing, and dan didn't seem interested in her at all. yes they became friends and yes they did date, but blair treated him like a child throughout their 2 month relationship and very clearly didn't enjoy being seen in public with him (they never hold hands whereas sethmer were always doing something affectionate in public). dan wasn't meant to be a geek like seth and ostracised by his peers due to his hobbies, because at nyu he seems very popular and well liked, it's the massive difference in social standing and wealth (and the fact that dan's been spying on them this whole time instead of trying to have a conversation) (also nate befriends him very easily so obviously if he tried to befriend them sooner he may not have been such a self proclaimed outcast). dair's first time is bad, but unlike sethmer they weren't virgins (far, far from it) and they don't communicate and get drunk instead. throughout their relationship they lie to each other and don't trust each other at all. unlike sethmer when they break up the only person who thinks they should get back together is dan, and he gets called out on how delusional he is because it's obvious blair wants to be with chuck.
sethmer and dair aren't rich girl/geeky boy because dan's not a geek. they aren't mean girl/soft boy because dan's not soft. they aren't rich girl/poor boy because seth's not poor. they aren't bf loves gf more because summer loves seth just as much as he loves her. seth and dan aren't really similar personalities, yes they're both smart, "nerdy outcasts" but they're vastly different in their actual characterisations. seth is a geek and proud, he loves comics and emo music and he wants to get away from all the fakeness of being rich in newport. dan is literally the opposite, he wants to be part of the upper east side so badly that he'll do anything. he's athletic (he plays soccer at school) and he dates lots of women throughout the show (aside from anna, seth markedly doesn't) and he'll betray his friends if it'll get him what he wants.
seth and summer's relationship spanned 4 seasons and ended with them getting married (and, to quote summer, seth was her destiny). dan and blair had 7 episodes where blair was blatantly in love with chuck the whole time and ended with them breaking up entirely off-screen through email (and, to quote blair, she would rather be with no-one than with dan). there are no comparisons between the two beyond superficial tropes that don't even fit them. if you're a fan of both then fine, but don't drag sethmer down to the same level as a ship who are inconsequential to the plot of their show when they drove the plot of theirs.

Something else
I feel when it comes to studies on what makes somebody a geek pointing out to rather unexpected factors, it seems it’s one thing to be smart and another to be autistic but the geek mindset is something else altogether. According to one interesting mid-2010s study, what makes somebody a geek is a recipe consisting of apophenia (tendency to see patterns), extraversion (tendency to be outgoing and sociable), narcissism (really inflated self-esteem), neuroticism (tendency to be moody), openness to experience (open-mindedness, though not so much on intellect) and surprisingly not so high on crytallised intelligence, or the tendency to gain knowledge over time.
So judging by the study’s criteria, what makes somebody a geek isn’t what most people think it is. This leads to an interesting corollary that at least non-geeks might be smarter than one realises, especially if this involves both crystallised and fluid intelligence. Fluid intelligence being the tendency to come up with novel solutions to any situation, so fields like nursing may require both crystallised and fluid intelligence in the sense of both learning about each and every disease, ailment and cure and finding out ways to cure or heal somebody on the go. Or the odd possibility that just because somebody is smart and scientifically inclined doesn’t mean they’re necessarily nerdy, going by the study’s parametres.
If this is true and something not many have considered nor understood, then it becomes more telling that when there are scientists who have little to no connection to geek culture in any way (judging by the blogs they write) it seems the association of geekiness with intellect starts to fade away. Admittedly what they write online isn’t always indicative of what they do offline, but if you are what you eat then it becomes telling that when they don’t delve any deeper into geek culture themselves then they’re not really geeks. The sort of sciences that are really popular with the masses tend to be biology, psychology, anthropology, sociology and astronomy.
If because not only are they practical and/or easily observable, but that they’re also more relatable and understandable in some way. But then again this means sometimes a normie who stargazes a lot and shows some knowledge of the solar system might just be a really smart normie, especially if their involvement in geek culture is so shallow to begin with. An athlete who moonlights as a scientist but doesn’t read that much comics and speculative fiction might just be a really smart athlete, likewise I know one geek who admits having difficulty reading academia and another admits to not being this smart themselves.
So these examples, especially the last two, prove the study’s point right. If not all geeks are really this intelligent, despite their love of obscure trivia then the geek mindset is something else altogether. Geeks seem more intelligent than everybody else not just due to the accidental conflation of being academically inclined with being into comics and science fiction (at least in the west), but also how and why geeks have a thing for obscure trivia. If not all geeks are this smart, nor are they into the sciences then the geek mindset is really a different beast. It does shed light on what makes somebody a geek, albeit not for the reasons you think it is.
Maybe that’s why so many geeks hate The Big Bang Theory, it’s a programme that really doesn’t get geeks as they are. Not to mention, many geeks tend to gravitate towards cult programmes a lot that explains why no matter how hard TBTT tries to appeal to them, it really doesn’t get the real ins and outs of geek culture. Perhaps what I realised about geek culture and this study are any indication, geekdom isn’t what you think it is. If not all geeks are into the sciences nor are they autistic, then the geek mentality is another creature altogether.

A Geekiest Movie Anyone Likely Never Watched - Or Didn't remember to Rewatch
Tumblr media
geek out
"Sneakers, " the 1992 film, isn't any typical movie and you wouldn't blame anyone if you haven't aware of it. That, all things considered, was part of the genuine marketing; "We might tell you what it is really about. But then needless to say we would have to get rid of you. " Fantastic! In a self-destructive unquestionably geeky advertising type way. Also, specified the pre-2000's period of the film, it truly is entirely possible that all but the foremost "senior" hardcore geeks overlooked this undetectable gem of a motion picture.
geek out
Sneakers is THE dvd movie that unassumingly ushered in the dawn within the digital age in the critical crossroad amongst the innocent idealism with the 1980's (the utopia could-be digital period that might come) compared to taking a glimpse towards how some would likely embrace the black, greedier or strength hungry side for the digital revolution of which started to rear the country's ugly head during the time. All that seriousness out, Sneakers drops you and me squarely at this critical crossroads and concept experiment but in a good movie that is like fun, adventurous along with exciting as the Goonies.
Sneakers can also certainly lay claim with the big screen debut with what it means as being a geek from each of the technical standpoints. Certainly, other blockbusters provided us glimpses involving geekism but simply no other movie paints a clearer or maybe more complete view within the modern geek over the big screen prior to Athletic shoes. Bold claims, we understand, but if you didn't seen this must-see of geekiness, supply it a chance together with tell us we're incorrect afterwards.
Sneakers' report is fortuitous presented when it was authored. The idea of computers appearing central to a movie's plot was at the same time a novel idea at the time but "Sneakers" embraced this completely new tech with offered arms, using it being the driving force regarding the story.
That film follows some sort of team of laptop or computer experts and stability specialists who are tasked with retrieving some mysterious black proverbial box that can decode any kind of encrypted message. This story is interesting and exciting nonetheless add in an all-star cast that includes examples of the biggest names inside Hollywood at the time that movie truly increases into the history publications of geekism.
Robert Redford plays Martin Bishop, the leader in the team of personal pc experts and reliability specialists. Redford's capabilities is both charismatic and charming, and additionally he brings a feel for of gravitas for the film that is vital for its success. Sidney Poitier plays Cosmo, a former mathematician who is now your street-smart hustler. Poitier's performance is a high light of the film, in addition to his character gives both humor along with heart to the scenario. Dan Aykroyd works Whistler, the team's audio expert who’s always ready by having a witty quip. Along with River Phoenix, who had been on the rise as one associated with Hollywood's hottest youthful stars at the time, gives a standout results as the team's littlest member, Carl Arbogast.
One of the things that will make "Sneakers" such an enjoyment film is the humorous and smart normal gardening to organic that is peppered over the movie. The banter between the characters can be snappy and practicing, and the actors all of deliver their collections with charm together with humor. The film's clever plot twists and turns moreover keep the audience to the edge of their seating, as the story originates in unexpected techniques. Surprisingly, the show has also aged exceptionally well considering it orbits around early 1990's tech.
An reliable mention here is the film's score by one of the many greats, James Horner. You have to remember that Kenny-G and his woodwind sidekick were major during this time period however , aside from that, the soundtrack is amazing. This captures the concept of staying at the dawn with the digital age along with absolute perfection and additionally we could listen to all this day long despite the fact that we code. Your sounds masterfully mix the high-stakes motion and humor by using classical and advanced tones and defeats. The orchestral essentials layered with the occasional operatic vocals in addition to digital undertones set the listener for the blending crossroads from digital and non-digital, dawn and sundown, and clearly gifts to us a good question, just as your film does.
A question, "Where can we go out of here? "
From its core, "Sneakers" is a movie within the crossroads of pc systems used for good or simply greed. The character types are faced with a question of how to proceed with the power that your black box gives, and their judgements speak to the larger honourable dilemma of technology's role in the community. We have come further from 1992 age tech and have found out a lot about our self in this first cycle of the digital their age. Re-watching Sneakers reminds us that we continues to in the infancy within the digital age along with haven't fully satisfied the question still.

ult kantrio headcanon masterpost
⬇ here i will be compiling as much as possible of my very specific hcs about my favourite play dolls from pokemon that ive rambled about everywhere else, usually at 3 in the morning. and will be updating this post whenever i will. this is still just a small percentage of everything going on in my head lmao. ⬇
does not include futureverse, give it time in the oven.
RED 💖
mute boy born to a family of jolly, talkative and enthusiastic fishers. they make this their entire personality and reds house is very fishing themed. hes... absolutely not as enthusiastic as a kid and sick of the smell of fish, but enjoys it as an adult.
his pikachus a much bigger beast than most pikas in comparison. Supreme Champion.
during G1 he is very polite and well mannered in contrast to green and leaf. his room is tidy and he goes to bed early. though he defends all dumb rowdy shit leaf pulls anyway. this is reflected in his pkmn being more of the gentle giant sort.
he has learned a lot of cooking + baking skills from his mom and the smell of his outdoor cooking can instantly summon leaf and green (reluctantly) to him during G1. he is a huge sweet tooth as well and prefers tea over coffee.
only looks retired as an adult; often sleepy and napping and walking everywhere in crocs. boring as hell but hey its endearing when red does it. but he is very much in peak physical strength and still quickly sweeping other trainers' teams. despite his usual serene demeanor he can still go for the most rash decision and just go apeshit w his pokemon.
TERMINALLY OFFLINE. no way is he going to understand what "ratioing team rocket epic style big W" is going to mean. types bluntly, like your dad. last tweet from him was six years ago, a 240p quality video about encountering an ursaring in a hut in the middle of the woods.
his usual pokeball throw resembles a baseball pitch.
exactly just as geeky as he is athletic. he enjoys the battle tree, but he still wishes for more. his dormant interest in wildlife biology and conservation that he had as a child is soon reignited and hes gonna get that PhD.
enjoys haunted locations too much. even leaf is confused by this! he decides to buy the shittiest abandoned house. which is also haunted. but reds eyes sparkle as always, man is FLEXING and determined to renovate this thing while green is frantically experiencing literally every emotion at once from jumpscares to "huh red knowing how to renovate is kinda ehehehe" then again pacing around sobbing over what were they thinking buying this house.
GREEN 💚
his and daisy's mother was a musician with a similar personality to him. his father, prof. oak's son, was more like daisy and a humble gardener w grass pkmn by his side. neither were too interested in battling or going on adventures.
he is extremely multifaceted when it comes to styles and music tastes, for example. somehow this man can combine prep, jock, geek, stoner and punk rock to his style all at once. his music taste is ALL.
nowadays his eevee is sporting the same hairstyle as him.
millennial still trying to make his podcast a big thing. his poke-twitter is fairly professional. relatively offline, not hip enough for zoomer trainers.
a francoboo. had his boy crazy era in kalos and thus more experienced than red when it comes to relationships. some of his french ex bfs still chase after him but shit bricks every time red answers the door instead.
at least he got them to take good fancy pictures of him in kalos. and he cooks kalosian recipes quite well, spoiling red with those nicely decorated crepes. but likely he experienced some paris syndome too. when you realize lumiose city kinda often smells like piss...
not very artistic. he draws like a 5 year old.
bad at figuring out what lesbians like. he buys leaf ellen degeneres merchandise :(
hes just kind of. eternally stuck in 90s slang and still having his default insults be so hilariously lame they wouldnt sting anyone. like buttcheek.
this is a more recent thing about my design for him but his left eyelid is perpetually droopier than the other.
LEAF 💙
showed up inexplicably in pallet town one day and simply asserted herself. no further elaboration. her origins remain a mystery. she biked all the way inside oak's lab and kept biking.
diversity win! in this universe leaf is closer to being an "ash counterpart" than red is.
since shes always seeking new thrills, she lives in a van as an adult. it looks pretty amazing and cozy from the inside and plenty of room to cook! on the outside theres like. airbrushed venusaurs and wizards and venusaur wizards of all sort.
a big ball of positive meatheadness to the point where shell def blow up a lot of things thinking everythings gonna be just fine. some people want her dead for this.
absolutely will put anything in her mouth and sometimes this is terrifying. tries to always make her cooking look like something "fun" and colorful that kids would enjoy but usually fucks up the look.
on-off relationships with women, she makes a new rival with lgbt undertones every two months. popular gal like that. dont ask her for relationship advice.
quite online and very charming. types like cher on social media. still, she remains popular and loved amongst the youth.
had a geocities in 2004 where she documented her adventures (bc i want G1 to be as 2004 as possible like that). it was an eyesore to look at.
often forms a trio with may and kris and they go on roadtrips eeeeverywhere. they either love her one day or think of her as a dumpster fire personified the next day.

I just had this thought after rereading some heartstopper. So many stories explore the dynamic of the stereotypical “straight” guy falling for the stereotypical gay guy (or vice versa.) Most of the time this means a gay jock and a gay nerd, but not many stories explore the geek and sportsy gay dynamic.
This works the same way as the jock/nerd relationship because the “geek” would act as the straight coded character in the relationship while the sportsy gay person (I wish there was a better term for this) would act as the gay code side.
Additionally, this opens up opportunities to explore different scenes and character interactions. For example, the “jock introduces their boyfriend to the team” scene could be one of the geek introducing their boyfriend to their video game team or D&D party. It could be cute to see the geek boyfriend have their d&d character fall for their boyfriend’s character as a way of coming out to their friends.
Also, being sporty is always associated with hyper masculinity in media. It would be fun to explore an athletic character that isn’t having to deconstructed their toxic masculinity. And showing that geeky people also need to dissect their notions of masculinity is a message that should be discussed more. (“Bro culture” isn’t only in the locker room)
Idk tho. I just wanted to suggest something in cause someone was thinking about writing a romance.
Ps pls tell me if you know any good books, fanfics, original fiction to read with this dynamic. 😁

Ikevamp Headcanons Modern AU
I'm bored so let's do this-
TW: mentions of suicide
Theo
Theo would usually be the stingiest but the one who's decently rich kind of kid. He goes to the cafeteria and often bargains with snacks amongst other students to shar with him and his brother Vincent. He acts cold because he believes that 'emotions will not get in the way during business'.
Vincent
Your typical wholesome art kid. He loves painting cute flowers and starry nights at cafes. He's often admired by other students due to his unique art style and his kindness to everyone else. He's the type of person that will get you a snack whenever he sees someone feeling down. Is also surprisingly more physically athletic than his brother.
Comte
Head of the student council, rich, dependable, smart, handsome, you name it. Everyone sees Comte as either the caretaker of the school or just falls head over heels over him because of how perfect and mature he acts at school. Wears cravats often to show off his elegance.
Issac
He will stay after school just to sneak into the science room and do his experiments. You cannot tell whatever he's thinking because his face always looks like he's in a bad mood. He loves apples though, just have a weird fascination with apples. Usually is the geeky kid who screams at his teammates for getting the answer not 100% correct during a science competition.
Leonardo
True ladies man, and is very elegant, smart as well as messy. His mind always seems so messy and every time he opens his locker, things will just start falling out due to how messy it is. He's the type of guy to sleep during all of his classes and proceeds to get an 80 on his next test. Makes the weirdest inventions during his spare time.
Jean
Sees himself as a complex man, more of a monster really, others just see him as an edgelord who still listens to MCR in 2021. Guy is an insomniac, never sleeps, but some people find the dark circles in his eyes attractive. Gets decent grades, enough to be acknowledged as a literature freak.
Napoleon
Legit gentleman. Girls fall in love with him due to his looks, and his stoic personality as well as his elegance. Usually turns down all his love letters politely in order to focus on his studies. Came from a rich aristocratic family.
Sebastian
Local history geek that loves to study. Is pretty decent at STEM classes to pass. Is your average quite nerd kid that you can always rely to give you a hand because he just seems to be able to do anything.
Mozart
Hates loud places, flunks all his classes except for his art and music classes. Is the bossiest bitch ™ you'll ever meet as well as a super angry emo boy who gets mad at everything. Hates working in groups and will scream at people for messing up a bit if he is ever placed in a group. Biggest perfectionist you've ever seen when it comes to music and just instantly die at any other subject.
Arthur
Total ladies man, flirts with women everywhere with the cheapest tricks (think of Barney from How I Met Your Mother), but is absolutely smarter and more cunning than he looks. He is a trickster and but he never breaks his promises. He always manages to get out of detention out of 'technicalities' . Does things on purpose just to spite his foes.
Dazai
Looks like the funniest and happiest man on earth but is secretly suicidal on the inside. He likes to joke about death, only to escape it several times. Finds his escape at the library as well as poetry, classic literature as well as helping people. Does surprisingly well in class. Someone give this man a goddamn hug because he needs one ASAP.
Shakespeare
This man is probably the most bizarre human being you've ever met. He is a total drama king (think Aya from Fruits Basket), and as expected, the head of the drama club. His grades are horrible cause he always finds a way to dramatize his answers on tests/assignments. He approaches ladies and calls pretty ones 'My Juliet'.
(I'll add Vlad, Charles and Fauste once I'm done with exams)

The Avengers (Student Body Government for S.H.I.E.L.D High School) Post: 1 of ?
Book Summary:
A High School AU that I hope isn't cliche, I tried to make it my own and it's also not focusing on any ships it focuses on them as a whole. When Nick Fury decides that he needs a Student government he chooses people that could never work together, for the student government he recruits Tony Stark (a bad boy/nerd) Steve Rogers (The skinny kid always trying to pick a fight with people) Natasha Romanov (a Russian transfer student) Clint Barton (no one really knows what he's doing there) Bruce Banner (the lovable nerd) Thor (a nice jock) Sam Wilson ( a pilot in training and actually has student body government experience) Bucky Barnes (the athlete who's always getting Steve out of trouble and never talks about his past) Pepper Potts (she's really just there to make sure nobody adds or subtracts from the population) and their siblings can only watch it all go to shit and then something greater coming out of it.
Chapter 1: Issues
Everyone has their... stuff, whether it be physical or emotional everyone has it. Most people find their people or groups in high school, but some don't fit into the system. Tony was smart but too cool to be in the nerdy group, Steve actually didn't really fit in anywhere, Natasha was a cheerleader and a transfer student that hated most people, Clint wasn't a jock but he didn't belong in any other category, Bruce was nerdy and geeky but had too many anger issues to really hang out with the other geeks and nerds, Thor was an amazing Football player but far to nice to be friends with the other jocks, Sam was a Track and Feild runner but had different dreams than the rest of them, Bucky was an athlete who spent most of his time protecting Steve to belong to any group, and Pepper was a future businesswoman who was too uptight by everyone else's standards. Some of them became friends with each other but it's not the same as having a whole group behind your back.
Tony Stark hated his father, it was the first thing you should know about him. Tony spent most of his time in his garage trying to make a robot suit which he called Iron Man and his friend Bruce called, "A Flying Death Trap" it was a slow process. Tony was a smart kid he was in all the AP classes, however, he was a ladies' man which meant that he didn't really get bullied. If he wasn't in the garage he would be nearby the coffee shop that his other friend Rhodey worked at. Tony was living his best life in general, except for the fact that he had only two real friends.
Steve Rogers was a skinny kid with a boatload of health issues, but that didn't stop him from trying to beat anyone to a pulp who did something wrong. His friend always pulled him out of the fights though saying that, "Your Mom would kill me if you got injured on my watch." Which Steve thought was unfair, why did his Mom and his best friend have an agreement of making sure he didn't get hurt? He wanted to be part of the football team but he was too skinny and had asthma. Steve wanted to play sports with his friends, unfortunately, that wouldn't happen, the worst part of his day was the hour he was alone because his friends were at track practice.
Natasha was a Russian transfer student, she was told to gain American government secrets Clint told her that this was frowned upon. She brought her sister with her and they were living at the Barnes house, she liked it there it was peaceful. She was a cheerleader, she only joined to make fun of the other girls. She tried to act like a stupid pretty girl, that way no one would pay much attention to her however that backfired quickly. Almost every boy wanted to date her, she didn't mind the attention people gave her now. The only thing she didn't like was the fact that people now had misconceptions of her personality.
Clint is a champion archer in the region and is currently trying to be part of the national archery competition. However he didn't really know what to do with his life, they don't exactly give out scholarships for archery. He spent most of his time in "little secret rooms" he found in the school. Clint also didn't have many friends, Natasha had her own stuff and he got the vibe someone like her wouldn't want to hang out with him. His grades weren't the best in the world which made him even more worried about the future and school. He didn't know what to do he thought that archery is the only thing he's good at.
Bruce was a nerdy geek with anger issues, which made it hard to hang out with people. He only had Tony, and Tony didn't always stay right next to Bruce. Bruce was bullied a lot, which didn't help in making friends. He was at the bottom of the social chain, at least he could get into a good school and have a bright future. Bruce tried to be a pacifist however he had really bad anger issues and everything stressed him out, he called the angry part of himself The Hulk. He didn't have bipolar depression, he just got angry easily simple as that.
Thor was a football player and very popular, however, he wasn't mean. Most people saw him as the jock, but that wasn't who he was, not deep down. He had a lot on his place, he would be getting the family business passed down to him because his "nutcase older sister was on thin fucking ice" his father's words not Thor's. He took care of his younger brother at most times, but they've hit a snag in their relationship. Thor didn't have many friends against contrary belief, sure he had people wanting to be his friend but they didn't want to know the real Thor.
Sam was trying to get his pilot's license which was a lot of work and took up most of his time. He was also on the track team which almost took up the rest of his free time. He did have time to talk with Steve and Bucky though. Sam was somewhere on the middle of the social food chain, he wasn't bullied or unpopular but he wasn't the most popular kid in the school. He had secrets though like everyone, one's he couldn't tell his friends knew about them but never asked. He and Bucky had a rivalry neither of them really knew why, Sarah and Rebecca say that they're competing for the best friend role. At least he had people, even if he didn't really like one of them.
Bucky was an athlete and only had one arm, well most of the time. He had a prosthetic but only wore it for baseball and if he had to wear it for the track. He had lost it when he was young, a freak accident and they couldn't save the arm. He had a big family so they were a big help with helping him. He had four sisters Rebecca, Lizzy, Martha, and Linda which was difficult at times but they were good to have around to tell you not to make stupid decisions.
Principle Fury wanted to have a student government, but he didn't want to be stuck with assholes running it. He had to decide who would be in it, and he already had an idea. They might not like each other but this would be a good bonding experience and it would help Fury out a lot. He sent Hill to go and gather them up, and put them in the office he found himself sitting in. This is not going to work, a part of him thought. He couldn't help but feel that he just made a grave mistake, like he interrupted the order of things, in retrospect he probably did.
No one was happy about the fact that they all had to work together. People thought that Stark wasn't serious enough, they said that Rogers would get into too many fights, some people had problems with jocks being in the same room as them. Others really didn't know what they were doing there, one of those people was Pepper Potts. Pepper Potts had an inconsequential life she wanted to be a CEO, but like that would ever happen. Fury told her to make sure that nothing happened to the other kids, make sure they have ground rules. So that was her job, to be the babysitter. This is going to be an interesting year for all of them.
Notes: This chapter was majorly inspired by The Breakfast Club. Did any of you catch that?

𝕂𝕖𝕟𝕘𝕠 𝕀𝕪𝕒𝕞𝕠𝕥𝕠
...for @colourfullsims‘ Love Island!
A quiet guy. A kind companion. A sensitive soul who cares only for his art and his family. These are all things that describe Kengo Iyamoto, the artist, the man of his word.
Just kidding. He’s actually kiiind of an asshole.
Read more about Kengo below the cut!
Kengo Iyamoto is a 27-year old photojournalist living in San Myshuno. Throughout high school, he was definitely a bit geeky, and wasn’t, strictly speaking, cool. Now, there’s two ways this could have gone: either those dorky years would instill in him a sense of humility and self-awareness that would carry into his adult life, OR he would fall in love with how “awesome” not being a geek was, and have learned no valuable lesson in the process.
Guess which route Ken took?
Ken is a veritable fuckboy, but the worst kind. Some radiate that energy just by the way they look and act, but Ken has mastered the art of appearing the exact opposite way in pursuit of the same exact goal: sex. In other words, Ken will try his damn hardest to woo you, and you won’t even notice. In fact, he’d be quick to point out the debauchery of other -- less covert -- men.
Recognizing the Signs of Being Seduced by Kengo Iyamoto
He will make frequent references to his job, and will attempt to appear “deep” and soulful by talking about how photojournalism has the ability to “tell the untold story” (whatever the fuck that’s supposed to mean)
He will act shy or timid, which hardly reflects his actual disposition. He is very confident and thinks rather highly of himself.
He will show up ten minutes late to the first date, extremely apologetic, because his dog “escaped his apartment”. His dog is blind.
If and when you find yourself back at his apartment, he will sheepishly draw attention to the carefully-calculated mess inside, including family photo albums, handwritten letters, photographs, and dog toys.
Kengo is a fuckboy who wants you to think he’s a softboy.
As sociopathic as this might come across, it’s not totally disingenuous, as he generally is a pretty pretentious person. He desperately wants to appear as a misunderstood starving artist, who started out begging on the streets of San Myshuno and ended up as a full-time photojournalist at Epoch Magazine. In reality, he had a fairly normal upper-middle class upbringing, and landed his job because his aunt is an editor there. He’s pretty vain, and appearances are important to him.
Despite this, he really is quite talented, and good at what he does. He has an insane work ethic and dedication to his job. Assuming he’s not trying to get in your pants, and you can look past the occasional artistic self-aggrandizing, he's a great conversationalist and just wants to have a good time. He’s as cool as a cucumber, and possesses a natural, likable energy that draws people to him (maybe the whole softboy act isn’t even necessary). He enjoys partying, and does care a lot for his family and close friends. He’s particularly close with his dad, a doctor in Twinbrook, and his best friends and roommates Sawyer & Hiram. Sawyer, oddly enough, is a woman, and he’s decent enough to respect their friendship as is (although she generally disapproves of his exploits).
Fun Facts about Kengo
Will answer to Ken or Kengo
Is deathly afraid of snakes after being chased by one on a family trip when he was young
Is very well-traveled, and tries to take a trip every year
Has had two prior relationships, the last of which ended, in a word, explosively
Favorite food is chicken curry
Identifies as straight, but not opposed to stringing along making time for a guy
Is fairly talented under the sheets
Is obsessed with his tattoo sleeve
Is pretty athletic and into sports, though you’d never really guess it, and he doesn’t tend to flaunt it
Is a TOTAL nerd for anything that has to do with samurai -- comics, books, movies, anything. Feudal Japan is the source of his geekiness.
Has a deeeeeeeeeeep voice
Favorite color is crimson
Kengo’s goal in joining Love Island is to get his face out there and to hook up -- and he certainly wouldn’t mind that cash prize, either. If he won, he’d take a year off work and travel the world, taking pictures.
His traits are Creative, Ambitious, and Snob.
Thanks @colourfullsims for the opportunity, and I can’t wait to see Love Island play out!

Marty Stus can fit any Mary Sue Tropes, but some are more common with Marty Stus than Mary Sues and vice-versa. Some of the most common types of Marty Stus are:
Manly Stu: Probably the most common Marty Stu and the most likely to have all or most of the Common Marty Stu Traits above. This character has reached awe-inspiring levels of manliness through pure authorial favoritism. Nine times out of ten, he is written by a male author, with variable levels of Wish Fulfillment tossed in. You won't see him dwell often on romance, if ever, since Real Men Hate Affection. Also usually a God Mode Stu.
Alt. names: Marty Stu on Steroids, Manly Man Marty Stu, Macho Man Stu
Romantic Stu: This sort of Marty Stu is much "tamer" than the Macho Stu, and is much more interested in his Love Interest. In fact, he's more intuitive to the needs of his beloved than most men in Real Life would ever be. He might be a bad boy, or Troubled, but Cute, or this may be just an Informed Attribute. Either way, he's everything a girl would dream of in a guy. He's often written by a female or written to get females interested in the story.
Alt. names: Lovesick Stu, Romance Stu, Love Sickening Stu, Romeo Stu
Uke Stu: Taking Romantic Stu a step further, there's the Uke Stu. He's the polar opposite of Macho Stu and is more than just In Touch with His Feminine Side. As the name implies, he's likely a character possessing the traits typically associated with the 'receiver' in Boys' Love and Yaoi. If he's not gay, he's probably less aggressive and masculine than his female Love Interest.
Alt: Feminine Stu
Lemon Stu: He can seduce and sleep with literally anyone he wants and Really Gets Around. This guy has the sex life most guys can only dream of. For he is The Casanova taken Up to Eleven. See the main page for more details.
Alt. names: Casanova Stu, The Genji
Lemon Stu Anti-Stu: Exactly What It Says on the Tin, Lemon Stu meets Anti-Sue. This type of Marty Stu is unattractive, rude, and often meant to be a stand-in for the male audience. Yet somehow, he manages to score with beautiful women, often resulting in Kavorka Man and Ugly Guy, Hot Wife.
Alt. names: Lemon Stu Loser, Anti Stu Casanova, Kavorka Stu
Geeky Stu: Some males realize that they will never physically meet the qualifications for your typical action hero, even though they may enjoy their adventures. Qualifications that include rugged good looks, strength, stamina, athletic ability, and a strong constitution as well as being charismatic and having excellent social and leadership skills. They prefer a protagonist that they could see themselves as. The Geeky Stu is average looking, cerebral, quirky, and probably of a scientific bent, even if he doesn't hold a degree. His strength is in his gray matter, not his myosin. He kicks ass using wit and intellect. He disarms foes with clever rhetoric and kills the ladies with dorky charm. His sidekick might be an action ready type ready to supply the brawn, but will always be taking orders from Geeky Stu, the brains of the operation. Geeky Stu considers himself an intellectual elite in a world of fools. And he is always ready to put the powers that be in their place, whether they be military martinets or bureaucrats. He will always win over "The Girl" from the Alpha Male jock because Geeks Are Sexy. Hard Science Fiction has quite a number of these. May overlap with Einstein Sue.
Alt. Names: Nerd Stu, Intellectual Stu
Purity Stu: This is the Marty Stu whose main character flaw is... His lack of flaws, which irritates the audience to no end. He is an All-Loving Hero or something similar, and may see it as his personal mission in life to be The Caretaker to everyone, whether they want it or not. He will radiate Incorruptible Pure Pureness, and this aura of perfection will often create a weird inversion of Straw Loser, as this character is just so wonderful that he makes everyone else look bad. He will either be a Technical Pacifist or an Actual Pacifist, unless of course, he actually has to fight, in which case he will fight in the most heroic way, with no one being killed. If (and this is a big if) he has any flaws, they will be so tiny that you'll need a magnifying glass to see them, or they will be cosmetic flaws that don't really affect him or the story. And those flaws will almost exclusively be "good guy flaws." He will often have a traumatic past, and may have been a bad guy then, but now he's simply good. In those cases, he's The Atoner. If he's The Atoner he may be on the receiving end of Reformed, but Rejected. On the other hand, anyone who crosses him will be Easily Forgiven, not because of an agenda but out of the goodness of his heart. He's nice to everyone, even his enemies. In some cases, he may even save the life of one of his foes, or of someone close to them, which most will see as kind but the more cynical will interpret as Passive-Aggressive Kombat. If he dies, he may ascend to Heaven/be sainted/have everyone, even his enemies mourn him/ ect. He will probably help others in a way that may come off as sweet to most, but as Condescending Compassion to the more cynical. Everyone will love him, and those who don't will be vilified. In fantasy, he may very well be The Chosen One. He may very well be able to do amazing things simply through his goodness. If a young boy, he may be a male version of The Pollyanna. He will probably love his country. He will always, always, always be willing to rescue people, even if they don't want it. Is nearly always a Good Samaritan, but very rarely runs into No Good Deed Goes Unpunished. If a superhero, he will be The Cape Up to Eleven. He will often be an impossibly good judge of character, and always do the right thing. Sometimes this happens when Historical Hero Upgrade is taken Up to Eleven.
Alt. Names: Perfect Hero Syndrome, Mr. Good Guy, Messianic Stu (in works where he takes on Christ-like qualities, not that uncommon,) Buddha-Like Stu (in works where he takes on Buddha-like qualities, also not that uncommon,) The Galahad (in works featuring chivary as in Arthurian legend).
Black Hole Stu: His gravity is so great, he draws all the attention and causes other characters (and, often, reality itself) to bend and contort in order to accommodate him and elevate him above all other characters. Characters don't act naturally around him - guys wish to emulate him and all the girls flock to him regardless of circumstances. They serve as plot enablers for him to display his powers or abilities, with dialogue that only acts as set-ups for his response. He dominates every scene he is in, with most scenes without him serving only to give the characters a chance to "talk freely" about him - this usually translates to unambiguous praise and exposition about how great he is. Most people don't oppose him and anybody who does will either realize their fault in doing so or just prove easy to overcome. Often a combination of the above Stu archetypes.
Informed Anti-Stu: This Stu is disadvantaged by society, magic, technology or any other factor owning to certain attributes that make him weak and disadvantaged...except none of those weaknesses ever come into play, while any or all of the "positive" elements of the above Stu archetypes continue to apply in the context of the story.

DIFFERENT PERSONALITIES
This month, 7 MEN 侍 did a photoshoot with the theme 「different personalities」. The them for the talk too is 「personalities 」
Konno Taiki
「7 MEN 侍's Personality」
We properly get hold of our on and off. When we fool around in work like for YouTube, we joke around with all our might, but everyone is quiet during breaks. We look like this [funny] because we are really serious LOL, with "raising the tension so that the people who watch us can enjoy!" we turn on our switch. Moreover, since each one's determination is strong too, we discuss seriously during lives. When we make our song lists in the past, sometimes our ideas collied with each other. But now, we give up where we need to give up, I think we have become able to firmly hold of ourselves now than before.
「My Personality」
My determination doesn't change even if someone tells me something. Since I'm the type who is quite stubborn and won't turn back. I don't like being asked what to do [lit. being moved] by a person or being controlled, I get offended when I'm being told that I am full of myself LOL. The members already know that so they don't say those kinds of stuff. I am the "I want to decide for myself" type, that's why I seldom consult to others. Because, if I didn't decide it, then I won't be satisfied!
Motodaka Katsuki
「7 MEN 侍's Personality」
I think our personality as a group is a group who performs in band style after all. While we are aiming to be a full-blown band, we are also doing Johnny's-like dance performances. We will definitely not quit dancing from now on too, we want to pursue as two-way players. One more thing, each one is really all over the place. It is not a personality, but the difference in special skills is 7 MEN~ isn't it big? Rinne is good in things like acrobatics and athletics, Reia is good in drawing, Konpi is good in singing, Taiko is good in dancing, Yabana is good in music, and then, I give off an appearance of so called "quiz". Different from the group, everyone is carrying on their back completely different things ~ I think this is the interesting part of 7 MEN.
「My Personality」
With 7 MEN ~ everyone's special skills are different, I think we are a group with variations in our performances. Regarding on how to make those variations nice, everyone consults me. During those times , it is my role to say "it will be nice as a group if we do it like this." I am playing the role who adjusts the overall speed.
Sasaki Taiko
「7 MEN 侍's Personality」
I think we are a group that each member has a different "weapon". Even though we are a group, we can do different things like perform as a band, dance, be idols, and do skateboarding. Since we make use of these during lives, I think this is what somewhat makes us different from the other groups. We are going to strenghten more all of those [skills] from now on too, I want for us to be a unique group. Honestly, I think our group has still a long way to go, but this means that we have plenty of room for growth!
「My Personality」
I do things that are "girigiri" (on the edge) in platforms like ISLAND TV LOL, but [my/our] manager-san told me the other day "no one has come this far until now." I want to do things that other people haven't tried doing. I think I have the spirit of challenge, and I want that to use it as my weapon. It is not only for me, I also want for 7 MEN's name to be known, for the sake of that, I will risk my body and do anything!
Yabana Rei
「7 MEN 侍's Personality」
For me, I think 7 MEN is strangely not trying to be cool. I feel like idols have an image of always showing beautiful things, but 7 MEN ~ is surprisingly not like that...Since there are a lot of members who live just the way they are, I think that is [7 MEN 侍's] personality in a sense. In our band performances, and in other things too, we give a feeling that we do what we want to do, and from the fans' point of view, I think we are being more friendly than being noble and distant. Furthermore, since we play a band, performing in big stage is okay too, but being able to perform in places like live house would be good.
「My Personality」
In many ways, I am "don't look like" LOL. I personally think that Domoto Tsuyoshi-kun doing funk for his solo is really cool! I want to be in that position too. In a good sense, I love being told "even though you're Johnny's" LOL.
Nakamura Reia
「7 MEN 侍's Personality」
For me, I think HiHi [members] are highschool boys who are easygoing. And, if SixTONES [members] are somewhat cool university students, then we are middle school boys LOL. Since our mental age and sense of humor are shallow. Even during our filming for videos like in YouTube, we "boom" over super stupid things and our tension gets high. I think we are really stupid but it is good to have fun. I don't like it [becoming adult] but I'll become an adult. Moreover, all of the members are geeks of different genres. But, having something that we like is good since those become our weapons too, so I think we should enhance our geekiness.
「My Personality」
I am the senpai (senior) among us six, the oldest, and the center, but I am not really doing anything LOL. Or perhaps I should say that I don't want to pull [any attention] since I am [already] in the position where I gather attention to an extent. Since we are a group where the members have great things in them, while relying on everyone, I am thinking if I should take responsibility at the end of the day. [But] It is enjoyable for me too when everyone is doing things in a carefree manner!
Sugeta Rinne
「7 MEN 侍's Personality」
It is playing a band after all. From now on too, I think our power as a band will become important for us to continue long in this world. And also, when I started playing the guitar, I came to understand the fun of it [playing guitar/band]. During「samapara」(Summer Paradise), we spent a lot of time in playing the instruments so I feel regrettable that we were only able to do 5 shows. I practiced while Konpi is teaching me over and over again so I had a feeling of "I wanted to do more!" Rinne still cannot play the guitar like the way the music is written on the score or have fun and show my personality during performances. If Rinne develops [the skills] more, then I think 7 MEN will become a better band, so I will do my best from now on too!
「My Personality」
I am swift footed and my "Johnny's love" (love for Johnny's) is strong! But, I think the one who has the strongest love for Johnny's now is Kawai (Fumito)-kun. This time, since I got to appear in 「~oenya!!~」, we went to have a meal together and I want to taste firsthand his "Johnny's love" LOL. Since Rinne's and Kawai-kun's history of "Johnny's love" are different, so I want to hear a lot of stories [from him].

Bored?
Check out my AO3 Bookmarks. Literally everything I’d recommend is there. Some of it is other fandoms, but the majority is Reylo. :D
You have no idea the treasure trove I found the day I searched for Rated G stories tagged Humor under 20k words, sorted by number of bookmarks. It was a smorgasbord of yay.
---------------------
Non-Reylo Fandoms
(descriptions in case you want to try and branch out)
Good Omens - Originally a book, now a Netflix show. A lazy angel and demon have been friends since Adam and Eve. They’ve spent millennia phoning in their duties on Earth, and they end up working together to save the world because they actually like the world.
Teen Wolf - The main character, Scott, gets turned into a werewolf. His best friend is a geeky human, Stiles, who is amazing at researching supernatural things, and these two have to work with a grumpy scowly tragic-backstory born werewolf (Derek) to find and stop the bad werewolf. Stiles saves Derek’s life a lot, and other things happen over a bunch of seasons and other characters matter, but Stiles and Derek are a very popular ship despite both being straight in the show. The pairing appeals to me because I love awkward geeky smart boys, and who can resist a talkative cheerful type getting together with a grump?
Yuri!! on Ice - The anime can be found streaming online, but it's basically about a gay relationship forming on the backdrop of men's figure skating. Yuuri is a shy bespectacled Japanese athlete, and Victor is his sexy, effervescent, Russian idol who takes a break from figure skating to coach Yuuri. Everything is beautiful and nothing hurts, though the only onscreen kiss was censored (hidden by a character’s arm) so you don’t actually see it. It was revolutionary for depicting a healthy romantic relationship between two men instead of playing it for humor, drama, or fanservice.
Leverage - A show about con artists conning criminals and scammers out of stuff. It’s very unbelievable but fun mostly because of Hardison (hacker), Eliot (hitter), and Parker (thief). I honestly felt nothing for the team leader (Nate) or grifter (Sophie) characters, who acted kind of like the mom and dad of the team, but I LOVED the other three. Parker in particular is amazing (it’s never stated in the show, but she’s supposed to be on the autism spectrum). She’s so quirky! I’m still deciding which fic plotlines I prefer for this fandom, but there are a few really funny ones.
Descendants - Four kids of Disney villains are taken off an island where villains are exiled and go to school with the kids of Disney heroes. The movies are arguably enjoyable, depending on your preferences. An interesting dynamic in some of the best fanfiction is pairing all four of them together romantically. Polyamory isn’t my thing, but several stories are well-written enough (and plot-driven enough) for even me to enjoy.
Merlin - Magic in Camelot is punishable by death, and teenage Merlin (who is basically made of magic) ends up as Prince Arthur’s manservant. Shenanigans ensue. Merlin saves Arthur’s life a lot but keeps his magic hidden, and Arthur isn’t very nice at the start of the show. Merlin and Arthur have a destiny and are “two sides of the same coin” and that lends itself very well to them as a ship, especially soulmate stories. Also, Merlin is a clumsy geek and secret magical badass, and I am here for that.
Once Upon A Time - I didn’t get past season... 5? 6? So I might like other characters, but until then the best character was Rumpelstiltskin, and he also occupied the role of Beast and thus his true love was Belle, and I like that pairing. :D He’s such a great badguy, and Belle is a librarian. Come on, y’all. LIBRARIAN! Squee!
James Bond - In the Daniel Craig movies, Q is a hot geeky guy in glasses and that is 100% my weakness. James Bond is not my type, but I found some stories that focus more on Q and play him up as a kind of mad genius, Bond’s equal in the same way Merlin was Arthur’s equal.
