Just remembered that one comic where Perseus and Medusa team up and beat up Athena. I’m sorry but that won’t happen in a million years, Athena spoils Perseus rotten she gave him more magical gifts and support (for one single quest mind you) than any of her other heroes including Odysseus and Heracles. It would take a lot more than Medusa telling him her tragic backstory to make him believe her and turn on his elder sister who has been nothing but supportive.

Also it’s crazy that Athena and Hermes didn’t give Odysseus flying sandals so he could go home. It’s kinda hilarious.

Athena's nightmare

I love @anotheroceanid Athenide au, and @chaoticdumbassrogue contributions to it, so I wrote something inspired by it. I'm not happy with it, it could be better, but I wanted to get it out

Athena walked across the muddy field, the dirt not daring to stain her; she had been looking for her daughter for nearly a day now. Such a thing would have sent her into a fury when she was younger. But the centuries had given her confidence in herself and her daughter. 

She stepped over another body and another. The battlefield she found herself on was familiar, in the way that someone who has seen thousands of battles finds all battlefields familiar. Pikes and spears bristled across the quiet scene like particularly gruesome trees.

When she had heard about the battle, she knew her daughter would be here. Some prideful prince, she could not recall his name, had decided to expand his domain and bring glory to his realm. This would typically not interest the god that much; mortals were always killing each other, and unless a god's favored city or people were involved, Olympus was content to let it be. Excluding Ares, of course.

But this time was different, for her child at least.

Athena cast her gaze across the ruin of this place, and- ah, there she was, just half a dozen paces away. Laying down in the mud, in her hands was what appeared to be a half-finished crown of laurel leaves, her dextrous finger working on working plant. 

Athena approached her, stepping over nearly fifteen more corpses to reach her. “Perse,” she said, “I’ve been looking for you.”

“You were never one for hellos,” Perse Athenide responded, not turning her head. The Athenide was in her war form, with her dark hair covered by her helmet and clad in armor etched with sea-like patterns and waves. Her light blue cloak, a symbol of her mother's favor, was crushed into the mud beneath her.

“You were never one for goodbyes,” the mother said, kneeling to sit as she did. The mud rose around her knees.

Snorting, the goddess of Loyalty half muttered, “I wonder where I get that from,” before sighing, “It’s been a long day.”

Athena glanced out across the field of bodies once again. Fifteen thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, she counted. “Yes, it was. " She waited another moment before asking, " Do you want to talk about it?”

There was a pause. “... I want to go home,”

Athena smiled softly. " Of course, owlet, let me help you up,” she said, reaching down towards her daughter. As she did, one of the hands Athenides snapped out to grab her wrist. 

“Before we leave, could you answer a question?” The goddess's voice was quiet, almost calm, but something about it sent a shiver down her spine.

“What,” Athena gasped, out shocked

“MaTer,” For the first time since the conversation started, Perse turned her head toward her mother. Ichor flowed from underneath her helmet, and all she could see of her face was a ruin, baleful green lights where sea glass eyes should be, “MaTer, WHy dId yOu LEt mE dIe…”

Athena froze in horror, a single mangled gauntlet reaching towards her face… and then she woke up.

just imagine he comes home after troy and he bonds with tele and theyre both idiots (penelopes idiots) ody is making up for 10 years away from home and is goofy with his son and pretends to faint everytime penelope walks by bc shes just sp stunning and awesome and actually faints when he realises hes legit married to her. i now realise this doesnt entirely fit the category of boyfailure lol but it do. Facts about Amani Cove:

Amani started wrestling when she was 15 years old and trained under Booker T when she turned 16.

Amani is a HUGE fan favorite in WWE. Think of good crowd responses and big pops compared to Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, and Rhea Ripley. She's also very well respected by WWE Executives backstage.

Amani is a twin!! She and her brother Cassius were born thirty-six minutes apart from each other, but AMANI WAS BORN FIRST!! She's also her dad's only daughter (so by default she's his favorite 🤣)

Amani graduated from Prairie View A&M University with her Bachelor's in Music and a minor in Composition. If she hadn't gone into wrestling, she would've followed in her dad's footsteps and went into music.

When Amani and Cass were 5 years old, their mother walked out on them after having an affair. Amani has only seen her mother twice since she left, both times were after she and her brother made something of themselves.

Amani is 8 years older than her baby brother Anthony.

Before signing with the WWE, Amani had made a rather big name for herself on the indie circuit from 2007-2015, kicking ass and racking up championships left and right, as well shattering the expectations of fans and critics alike.

Amani, though a social butterfly, tends to keep her private life extremely secretive, especially in regards to her childhood.

She's wrestled in promotions such as ROH, Reality of Wrestling, DDT-Pro Wrestling, NJPW, PWG, & Shimmer.

Amani holds a Guinness Book of World Records for most title defenses while holding the NXT Women’s Championship.

At the request of Booker T, Amani auditioned for the fifth season of Tough Enough in 2010, but sadly didn't make it past the preliminary round.

Amani's dad is a Grammy winning singer-songwriter and guitarist who has worked with the likes of Michael Jackson, Prince, Lenny Kravitz, Craig David, Maxwell, Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, and so many more. He's also the front man for a popular rock group Blackstone that still tours and makes music to this day.

Amani's original entrance theme while in Reality of Wrestling was "Ante Up" by M.O.P., then "You Call Me a Bitch Like it's a Bad Thing" by Halestorm. Her WWE entrance music is an original done by her father's band Blackstone and Lzzy Hale from Halestorm.

In late 2014 she became a free agent and was almost immediately approached by WWE. The initial goal was to sign her and get her into an immediate feud with Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair, but Imani had been under a 90 day no compete clause at the time.

She finally signed with WWE in spring of 2015 and would make her first TV appearance on NXT TV in August. She would later confront Bayley during TakeOver London which would kick off their 5 month feud. Amani would go on to win the NXT Women's Championship at TakeOver: Dallas.

She still holds the record for longest title reign with the NXT Women's Championship at 522 days. She would lose her title to her friend and former tag team partner Ember Moon at TakeOver: WarGames in 2017. This would also be her last match in NXT before debuting on the main roster the RAW after WrestleMania 34 to begin a three-way feud between Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss.

She would win her first RAW Women's Title at that year's Money in the Bank before getting cashed in on by Alexa to begin their feud. She would win the title back at Summerslam that year and would hold the title for 161 days before dropping it to Ronda Rousey at 2019 Royal Rumble.

During COVID, she held the Smackdown Women's Championship for the first time in her career for a total of 371 days, winning it against her tag team partner Bayley at WrestleMania 36. She held the record for the longest reigning Smackdown Women's Champion until Rhea Ripley.

She has an amazing relationship with her brothers and is very close to her stepmom Renee.

Amani is a huge fan of horror movies and musicals. Very weird combo I know, but she likes what she likes. Her favorites are Bram Stoker's Dracula and Little Shop of Horrors.

She's also a BIG ASS NERD. She loves Lord of the Rings, Marvel, Star Wars, and is currently obsessed with a show called The Legend of Vox Machina. She's played several campaigns of D&D with Xavier Woods.

Amani has a love for Egyptian mythology and astrology.

As a teen Amani participated in dance, music, & theater arts. She also played volleyball, and competed in track & field.

She appeared in the first ever Women's Royal Rumble at entry number 4, lasting 35:46 before being eliminated by Asuka.

Her most favorite feuds have been with Ember Moon, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, and Bayley.

In 2019, Amani made a surprise appearance as the mystery 4th member of Team Ripley at NXT TakeOver: WarGames.

At WrestleMania 37, Amani had the lead singer of Halestorm Lzzy Hale along with her dad and his band Blackstone be part of her entrance and perform her theme.

The first thing she did with her first big WWE paycheck, aside from paying off her remaining student loans, she bought her first big girl house in Orlando. She also flipped her condo and now rents it out to NXT Superstars just starting out in the company.

Amani grew up in a heavily affluent musical family. Her grandmother was a jazz singer in New Orleans before becoming a background vocalist for artists like Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Gladys Knight, etc. Her grandfather played trumpet for the band Earth, Wind, & Fire (that's how they met).

Just two months after winning her fifth Women's title (second Smackdown Women's Championship) at WrestleMania 38, Amani was in a terrifying car accident while back home in Orlando. She was hit by a drunk driver in which her car flipped twice and landed on its roof. She was trapped inside, had to be pried from the car with the jaws of life, and then life lighted to the ER. Luckily, she had only sustained a broken leg and two fractured ribs, but still had to relinquish her championship.

Amani would make an emotional return nine months after the accident on the RAW after WrestleMania 39 and begin a feud with Bayley/Damage Ctrl before being drafted to RAW.

Right now Amani has 17 tattoos. She plans to get more in the future.

Thanks to her grandparents and father, Amani is a classically trained pianist and can also play the guitar.

Amani has one dog and a cat: a black cat female named Isis and a pitbull male named Brucey. She and Damian adopted Brucey while they lived together.

Amani's signature fragrance is a perfume she had created at a local apothecary shop in New Orleans. It's a blend of vanilla, black orchid, and amber.

Her dream WrestleMania entrance would have Megan Thee Stallion performing her theme.

Ok txny I have to thank you because this question made me go big-brained mode last night and now I got paragraphs for you. I hope you like them lol

Ok, first of all, let me actually let y’all know what the incident that made Apollo leave was. So basically, for years Apollo had been held to an unrealistic standard that he could never achieve. Any failures led to harsh punishments, which worsened Apollo’s quality of life, which worsened his performance in all of the stuff Zeus cared about, and the cycle continues. This all came to a head when it came time to apply for college. Zeus wanted Apollo to follow in his footsteps and study law at his alma mater. Apollo really wanted to make music, but he knew that would never go over well. Instead, he applied to a med school, hoping that the job would be prestigious enough that it would impress his father, even if it wasn’t law. 

Sadly Apollo was mistaken, and Zeus became furious. He began constantly berating Apollo, basically telling him that he was basically going to disown him once he turned 18. Eventually Apollo snapped, and the two of them got into a huge fight one night in front of the whole family. Keep in mind that none of the other siblings knew the true extent of how Zeus treated Apollo. Things got physical, with Zeus pushing Apollo down a flight of stairs, giving him a nasty cut, a serious concussion, and getting him hospitalized. This is the last time anyone in the family saw Apollo. Once he woke up, Apollo refused any visitors, and basically went from home straight to college, refusing to talk with any of his family again. 

As for how everyone felt about it?

Ares: 29 years old, currently an active military member stationed in Texas (for reference, the rest of the family is in California). Ares had already left the state when Apollo went no-contact, and the two of them weren’t particularly close. Ares basically didn’t really care, as he’s already pretty distant from the rest of the family as it is. He visits during holidays and makes nice with his younger siblings, but to Ares it’s all just doing what’s expected of him. If Apollo wanted to leave that behind, more power to him.

Hephaestus: 26 years old, currently works as a mechanic in northern California. Hephaestus is the only other family member that has little to no contact with the rest of the family. It’s just that unlike Apollo, there was no fanfare when Hephaestus left. Living with a physical disability in a house where your mother despises you and the man who was meant to be your father was horrifically neglectful kind of sucks, actually. Hephaestus left the family behind at 18, and has been doing pretty well for himself since. Because of this, he actually doesn’t know that Apollo followed in his footsteps two years later. Who knows, maybe the two of them will run into each other in the future. 

Athena: 30 years old, currently working as a historian in her hometown. Athena is actually older than Ares, as Zeus was with Metis before Hera, and just didn’t tell Hera about it. She lived with her mother for 4 years until her untimely death. After that, she had to move in with Zeus and Hera, which was the first time Hera ever heard of her existence. This is also when Hera was pregnant with Hephaestus. Whoops. After all this, Athena has become a bit of a father’s girl, mainly because Zeus would defend her against her stepmother’s hatred. She doesn’t know all of the details of Apollo’s relationship with Zeus, but her love of her father blinds her to any fault he may have had. The two of them don’t talk anymore for a reason. 

Hermes: 22 years old, currently going through undergrad for a degree in communications. Hermes was really hurt by Apollo’s departure, almost as much as Artemis was. He looked up to Apollo a lot, and kind of thought he was infallible. To Hermes, the whole incident came completely out of nowhere, and he still doesn’t know who to stand with. Torn between his brother and his father, he hasn’t tried to contact Apollo since it all happened. 

Dionysus: 20 years old, currently going through undergrad for a degree in theatre. Dionysus is the opposite of Hermes, and desperately wants to get back into contact with Apollo, mainly to soothe his own curiosity. Dionysus was born after the majority of the family drama, and was only 14 when Apollo left. He’s kind of dropped out of the family emotionally, but he still wants to know how everything went down. Sadly, Apollo did change all of his contact information after leaving the house, so Dionysus is left with a bit of a wild goose chase to do on top of all his college work. 

Thalia: 18 years old, currently a senior in high school, looking to pursue professional archery. Thalia and Jason didn’t move into Zeus’ home until they were pretty old, Thalia being 11 and Jason being 9. This means that Thalia only spent a year in the house with Apollo before he left, and didn’t really know him that well. She mostly just feels bad for Artemis.

Jason: 16 years old, currently a sophomore in high school. Apollo left when Jason was only 10, so he really doesn’t remember that much about him. All he remembers is that Apollo used to drive him to school when Hera was too busy (or just wouldn’t bother) and watch over him while Zeus was at work. If you were to ask Jason what he thought of Apollo before they reunited, he would have said that his brother seemed like a kind person.

•Lunch Plans•

Mike and Mac Simons were new to LA, only having lived there for about a month and some change. The two brothers had a 15 year age gap, and people would often confuse Mike for Mac's biological father. Mike was preparing a simple lunch for the two of them, his eyes lingering on his phone where a contact sat open the last message being from almost 5 years ago. As he was distracted making food Mac came up to him and looked over at his phone.

"Really Mike? You still haven't texted him!" Mac grabbed a slice of cheese and hopped up on one of the island stools. He sat head in his hands waiting for his brother's response

"No...it's too awkward. We haven't talked in almost 5 years" Mike gave his brother a plate with a sandwich filled to the brim with anything and everything that could go on a sandwich, besides mayo because 'it ruins the bread duh'. "What would i even say?" Mike starts on his own sandwich—a pretty plain ham and cheese—as Mac moves to the fridge to grab an ice tea.

"You're overthinking it, just say something like..." Mac sits down and stokes his chin for a moment, faking deep thoughts. "Hey Evan, i know we haven't talked in a while but i just moved to LA with my super cool little brother who would love to meet you. Would you like to catch up over some coffee?" He then takes a giant bite of his sandwich as Mike finishes his and grabs a coke from the fridge rolling his eyes at Mac.

"Is all of that necessary?" Mac looks up at him and nods mater of factly.

"Yup! everything, word for word. Nothing different" They both laugh a little until Mac speaks up again. "You should text him, like actually. I doubt he would be upset...he should understand why...you know" Mac put his head down losing that mood of teasing he just had.

"Hey...i chose to take you in Mac, nothing that happened with me or anyone else was because of that. Now finish your sandwich i spent way too much food on that for you to not eat it all" Mac smiled and looked up as his brother laughing a little.

"Ok loser, now text your friend before i steal your phone and do it myself. I think we both know how that will end up" Mac goes back to eating and Mike takes a minute to look at his phone. The contact reads 'Evan🦌'. He and Evan talked about his nickname one time before they completely lost contact so he thought it would help to remember it. His hand shaking slightly he picks up his phone and starts typing

'Hey Evan, It's Mike. Me and Mac just moved to LA and i was wondering if you were free to catch up over lunch sometime soon?'. After he clicked send his phone went face down on the table as he finished his food. A smug yet proud smile filling Mac's face as he saw his brother finally man up.

The phone buzzed not even 5 minutes later and Mike immediately reached for it clicking on the message

'Hey! long time no talk. I'd love to meet up soon does Saturday at around 7 work? Also tell Mac i said hi and i can't wait to actually meet him!'

A smile filled Mike's face as he wrote back a quick message agreeing to the time and mentioning that Mac was exited to meet him too

"Well? what did he say huh!" Mac piped up after watching Mike finish writing.

"hm? oh—Saturday at 7, and he says hi and that he can't wait to meet you" A smile sits with both of them for the next few minutes until Mac mentions something Mike had completely forgotten about.

"You need new clothes...i guess we both do" They had cleaned out old or just unliked clothes before moving and still hadn't gone to get anything new

"Shit-i forgot about that...well we could always go on Saturday before hand?" Mike was now moving to cleaning up the mess from lunch

"wow...and you wonder where i get the procrastination from" Mac smiles and helps out Mike with cleaning up. A nice plan and a fun day out for Saturday, followed by a possibility awkward as hell dinner with Mike's ex-best friend (and kinda ex but that's a separate thing to unpack)

•Confusion and Catastrophe•

It was finally Saturday and Buck was ready to get off work. It was currently 2 pm and a pretty q-word day, low priority cases, and an hour or two with no calls. Bobby was serving a small lunch, constantly looking at his phone when the bell rang and they all suited up. This was the first time all day they had a high priority emergency.

"Cap, what's the situation. You seem a little serious?" Chim was the first to break the odd silence that filled the truck. Bobby didn't answer for a moment looking back down at his phone.

"I can't get ahold of Athena or May, last i talked to them they were near the scene" The truck went silent as they all understood what this could mean. A large parking garage had collapsed with most areas being fully demolished, along with the underground shopping area attached being damaged in the process.

"I'm sure they're fine Bobby. They're probably just helping out" Hen piped in doing her best to keep Bobby out of his head and focusing on the dangers ahead. He only nodded as his phone lay open and only silence filled the ride.

"MAC!" Mike shouted out trying to wake up his brother. His eyes closed as he didn't move an inch. "Mac i swear to god get up." Mike pushed him a little hoping to just get him up or somewhat awake.

"Hm—huh! Oh shit what time is it?" Mac was finally awake, rolling out of bed hair wrapped around his face flying in all different directions.

"It's almost 10, get ready. We'll get Starbucks on the way" Mike rolled his eyes at his little brother's terrible sleep schedule and went back to the living area to watch TV. Mac on the other hand rummaged through his closet looking for a decent outfit—he didn't want to look bad! What if he ran into the love of his life or something? After a few minutes of digging and tossing he found a decent enough outfit. His hair was next, but it was different to take care of in California. The weather was much different so his hair routine was too, anti-frizz uped about 6 times, and it took him almost a half hour to finish. He brushed his teeth and walked out into the living area to sit with his brother for a moment.

"All ready?" Mike tilted his head away from the TV when he heard Mac walk in. Mac nodded putting his phone in his pocket and grabbing Mike's keys for him. "I'm 30 years old i can grab my own keys"

"Sure...I just don't wanna get locked out again" Mike rolled his eyes and snatched the keys from his brother and they laughed about dumb jokes and stupid ideas as they walked to the car.

It was dark when his eyes opened again and his head felt like it was throbbing. It took a few moments for realization to hit, for him to understand what had happened and where he was. The roof started to fall, then the floor, everything was shaking and they were too high up to run down the stairs now crumbling before their eyes—a loud crash and he was down, all he could remember was being pushed. Then it hit him. Where was his brother? It was to dark to see so Mac reached for his phone luckily still in his pocket and turned on the flashlight. Shining it around he saw two things.

1.He was trapped, looked like rumble had fallen around him and he got lucky enough to miss it

2. Mike was trapped a lot worse they he was. Most of his body was visible but beyond his hips was under something.

Mike was stuck under rubble that was crushing and cutting him up. He cried for longer then he wanted, the idea of losing his brother hit him hard and fast, as the world faded around him, and his hope went with it.

After arriving on scene Buck and Eddie were given the task of checking the 4th floor for survivors. Bobby was hunting around to find out about Athena or May, Hen and Chim were helping out injured outside the building. Eddie and Buck rushed up the stairs—until they had to climb a little to get up to the 4th floor. As they reached the 4th floor they scavenged around the area for any survivors, finding a dad and his two daughters they were sent down with two members of another station as Buck and Eddie continued the search. They looked for a good while pushing over rubble finding a few dead bodies and calling them in, along with a group of a few teenagers that also got escorted out by another station. Finally they had covered everything and called in to Bobby.

"Bobby, No more survivors found. You want us to head down?" Eddie radioed in as Buck continued to look around—he was being cautious ok? no harm no foul—.

"You're all good head on down" Bobby called back after a short moment. Eddie called out for Buck letting him know what Bobby had said. Buck was now gone.

"Buck? Where are you man" Eddie walked around to hear Buck calling out. "Buck? what are you doing?" Eddie look concerned by his behavior his arms crossed and he tapped his foot.

"I-i think i heard something—maybe. I-just listen" Buck put his finger up to Eddie, motioning for him to shush, they stayed in that silence when a small noise could finally be heard. A faint whisper of a cry, it was hard to hear but definitely there. "See! LAFD! PLEASE SHOUT OUT!"

Eddie radioed back to Bobby letting him know the situation before joining Buck in his words.

"Help....help—HELP!" The voice rose and fell, cracking filling every syllable. The voice was young and the caked in sound of tears plummeted Buck's heart. "I'M STUCK—with my brother!" The voice called out again barely getting out the full sentence. Buck finally found the source of the voice and let Bobby know they would likely need a medical team and some stabilization gear—given the very likely chance that anything moving could send everything falling down—Buck began to talk to the person stuck inside.

"LAFD, we're here to help ok? Can you tell me if you or your brother are hurt anywhere?" The floor was silent for a moment when a small voice responded back.

"I'm ok, it's my brother—he's stuck under something. I think it might be a car and some other stuff." Buck looked back over at Eddie realizing just how bad this situation was. Two people trapped in an unstable area surrounded by rubble, with one of them trapped under a car. There was a very likely chance this would not end well.

"Ok, can you tell if he's breathing?"

"Um, ya. He is... it's kinda weak though" Buck's face turned to Eddie both of them wondering where their medical and stabilization units were. Buck was getting tired of waiting, letting time run out for these two was killing him. So like usual he decided to be a reckless idiot and started to make his way into the small opening in the rubble.

"BUCK! The hell are you doing?!" Eddie called out as Buck slowly pushed his way through the concrete. "At least let me help keep it stable!" Eddie wasn't going to try to talk Buck out of this, it would do nothing for anyone so as Buck pushed past Eddie made sure nothing would fall and crush everyone involved.

As Buck made his way into the small opening he saw a gruesome scene. A younger kid sitting next to a bloody body tucked under the remains of a car. Their hands intertwined as the kid did his best to check his brothers pulse every few seconds. Tears covered the younger boys face, they glistened against Bucks flashlight when he rose his head to look at his savior.

"Hey kid, My name's Buck. How about you?" Buck worked his way over to the two brothers there in front of him, taking a short look to assess the older man's situation. His legs were definitely broken and he definitely had some serious blood loss, he would definitely need a shit tone of PT.

"Mac...is-is my brother ok?" Mac asked his only question, the only one important to him before he latched onto Buck. The real world flooded back to him, and with it came about his hope.

•A Question•

Mac held onto Buck like a scared cat, he was shaking as Eddie made his way in with the medical team—about time. Buck grabbed Mac and did his best to comfort the poor kid.

"Hey...you're alright—come on let's go get you checked out" Buck picked up Mac and brought him out of the rubble, whatever his brother looked like under that car was something Mac didn't need to see, but he still fought saying he needed to be with him.

"NO! I can't leave!" Mac yelled out and Buck had to do his best to keep a hold on him as they headed down and towards the exit.

"We need to give them space...they need all the room they can get to help him ok?" They were getting closer to the exit and Mac slowly nodded his head. Buck took the new calm to quickly check on Mac—he didn't seem to be badly injured, just rubble and a shit ton of small cuts. What really drew Buck's attention were Mac's hands. They were cut up and bloody, he probably tried to claw his way out—or tried to get his brother out—it made Buck's heart sink just thinking of it. He didn't know how long the kid had fully been conscious in there, but the idea of time spent in a situation like that not knowing if you would be found and Mac still seemed to only care about his brother. "Alright we're almost out, then i'll take you over to my friends to get you all checked out" Buck gave Mac a small smile as they finally reached the light. In clearer light Buck could definitely make out a mid sized cut on Mac's right arm, but other than that he was pretty clean, looked like his brother took the brunt.

"Ok...um—do you think my brother will be alright?" Mac asked and Buck really didn't have an answer, not one he felt right giving.

"I don't know...but i do know that everyone will to everything they can to make sure he makes it" Buck looked around for a moment spotting Hen and Chim examining a young boy and his mother, a few feet away he was glad to see Bobby talking with Athena and May—safe and sound—. "HEN! CHIM!" Buck yelled out to his friends and made a b-line to them, Hen swiveled around with worry that dropped for a moment when she realized he was ok, and returned when she saw Mac. Chim sent the two they were already treating to the nearby medical tent and motioned for Buck to put Mac on a gurney nearby.

"Buck, what's going on?" Hen questioned as Chim did a small look over on Mac.

"hm? oh! this is Mac, he was trapped in a hell of a situation on floor 4" Buck was still standing by his side as Chim continued checking for injuries.

"Ok Mac was it?" Chim asked as he wrapped up the cut on Mac's arm. Mac nodded. "Alright, how do you feel? Any pain—specifically in your head."

"I'm good...didn't even realize I had that cut till you were wrapping it." Mac laughed a little and then looked back over at the building. "I'm fine. I need to make sure my brother is ok...he has to be ok" Mac had a serious look on his face, and Buck looked at Hen for something.

"Ok...um how about we call your parents?" Hen finally spoke after a beat of silence. Mac turned to look at her and just shook his head as he hopped off of the gurney, when he hit the ground a small sound of pain left his mouth. Buck reached out to him instantly and Mac looked genuinely surprised at the fact his body reacted before his brain.

"Woah, you sure you're alright" Buck reached for Mac's shoulder being met with nothing.

"Yup, fine...i'm not sure why that—ya know" Mac trailed off like he really was surprised his body was in pain after such a crazy accident.

CRASH

A group of firefighters and EMTs rushed out of the building, Eddie among them. Before anyone could even think about getting Mac over there the ambulance was loaded up and on its way.

"no...n-NO" Mac shouted out as he fell to the ground. Buck went down with him trying to figure out why he had such a vicious reaction.

"Hey, we can get you there all we need to is a family member's number" Buck tried his best to reason with Mac but nothing seemed to work.

"He IS my family...all of it, I have nothing else" Mac sat back on his knees and looked off as the ambulance made a turn. "I have no way of getting there," Buck paused to think for a few moments.

"Any friends? of you or your brother" Mac looked over at Buck for a moment then back towards the street.

"We just moved here, My brother only knows one person but i don't know the guy's number" Mac slowly stood back up with his eyes slowly starting to well up with tears, the adrenaline of the past few minutes likely wearing off.

"Hey, it's ok we can figure something out" Buck helped Mac up and sat him back up on the gurney. Looking to Hen and Chim for some kind of solution that he couldn't seem to think of, they both looked back at him with the same face he wore. "Look, i'll talk to my captain and see if he can help ok?" Mac whipped his eyes and nodded his head at Buck's simple plan of action. Buck gave him a small smile and headed over to grab Bobby and explain the situation.

"Ok Mac, are you sure you don't have any other pain?" Hen started her base exam back up, a little worried about the pain he showed when hopping of the gurney.

"Ya, i'm alright...i'm good" Mac seemed a little annoyed with Hen's question and continued exam. As she worked she noticed no sign of injury-internal or external-and attributed the incident earlier to the fear and adrenaline. Buck made his way back with Bobby close behind him, as they reached Mac Bobby looked him over and gave what seemed like a "giving in" sigh—Mac was very accustomed to these—and nodded his head.

"Alright Mac, I'm Captain Bobby Nash, how do you feel about us giving you a ride to see your Brother?"

It took a while the journey was not easy, but they found a Library in that library. They found a book it talked of another dimension, the End which none of them had ever heard of. Sherbet, almost laughed it off as a fairytale, a myth, but with the chance that Athena could be there, they had to admit that it might- possibly- maybe- be real.

A few days later Jame and Sherbet got letters from Athena. They said that they were in the End and that they had made three new friends

Rae and Athena had been spending a lot of time together in the library. Athena now could make so many redstone contraptions! Their favorite was the redstone clock.

Ghosty also would come and check on the two of them often. Usually, he dragged them out to Centross’s garden.

Centross was enjoying the company of Ghosty he wasn’t the best at farming but he did try to help as much as possible. Athena also was a blessing, the nether hybrid was amazing at getting Rae to take breaks. They were also just a ray of sunshine brightening the cold dark end.

After a few days, the four of them had settled into a routine. Ghosty had suggested that they have dinner together. However Athena was the only one who could cook in any sense of the word, and even that was manly baking.

Enderian showed up once again and said that it was Athena’s 17th birthday. Athena asked to send letters to their friends.

Two adventures multiple dead ends. finally! finally, they had reached it. They would be able to find a missing member and bring them home safely. All they needed to do was open the portal.

Jame was the first to find the portal. In front of the portal was a lectern with a book full of gibberish. Thankfully Sherbet and Will are very good at puzzles.

Centross had tricked Rae into sleeping in the garden. Leaving the other two members of the household to chat in the living room

Ghosty was recounting one of his many adventures. It was one Rae had already heard so he wasn’t missing out on anything.

Suddenly a roar erupted all over the end. Shocking everyone, Rae awoke with a start.

“Centross, do you know what that means?” He said turning to the farmer.

“Rae, no.” The guard ordered.

“Centross,” Rae said standing up.

“Rae you are not to go to the portal.” The warrior’s voice was stern.

“Are you going to stop me?” The vessel challenged.

“It’s my job, Rae”

“It’s my dream Centross” with that he ran to the edge of the island and jumped into the void. Epros had already teleported him to the portal by the time Centross reached the edge.

“Fuck! Fuck, fuck fuck!!!” Centross began to pull his hair, “why can’t you just make my job easy Rae!” With a huff, the servant of Enderian went inside.

Ghosty was sitting with Athena on the moss carpet trying to keep them calm. The young hybrid was holding onto Rae’s cat Bucket for dear life.

“Centross, do you know what’s happening?”

“If I had to guess Athena’s friends are here…” he calmly explained. At once Athena jumped up.

“So they’re gonna take me home?”

“I’d assume so.”

“A dragon! There’s a dragon?!” Sherbet exclaimed as they came to their senses.

“Yeah,” Easton said calmly.

“Ok time to kill a dragon,” Mombo said as the town began to fight.

Rae watched the overworlders fight ⟊⟒⏃⋏. It was fascinating how varied they all looked, unlike the End-citizens who all have very similar traits.

The overworlders were easily able to overwhelm ⟊⟒⏃⋏. The final blow was delivered by a person who was covered in flowers and had red-orange hair. Rae saw the end portal open but it was unstable.

The overworlders looked at the portal but didn’t enter instead, they went looking around in the opposite direction.

When he was in the clear he went over to ⟊⟒⏃⋏’s body and placed his hand on her snout, “⋔⏃⊬ ⊬⍜⎍ ⎎⟟⋏⎅ ⊬⍜⎍⍀ ⍙⏃⊬ ⏁⍜ ⏁⊑⟒ ☌⏃⏁⟒⌇ ⍜⎎ ⏁⊑⟒ ⏃⟒⏁⊑⟒⍀.”

An enderperson came up behind him and placed their hand on ⟊⟒⏃⋏’s snout, “⊬⍜⎍ ⋔⏃⊬ ⌇⌰⟒⟒⌿” a common thing, in the end, to say to the dead. As more enderpeople began to gather and give ⟊⟒⏃⋏ her last rites, Rae slipped away into the portal.

Rae had to shield his eyes from all the light as for the first time in a long time he was in the overworld.

And after he saw the episode with his darling uncle Poseidon and what he did with his wife's 108 suitors, well, just say that he understands what his sister sees in him.

Hera. "Never once has he cheated on his wife." The man spent 20 years without his wife, never once forgetting about her or looking at another woman. As a mater of fact, his single goal was to get home to his wife and family no mater the cost. If that doesn't impress Hera nothing will.

📘 At First Spite by Olivia Dade Romantic Comedy | ★★★☆☆ (3/5) After a broken engagement, Athena moves into the tiny Spite House she bought for her ex-fiancé, only to discover that his infuriating older brother, the man who convinced him to leave her, lives next door. Review: This story does a decent job depicting depression, but unbelievable scenes and cringe banter pulled me out of the story several times.
