Just remembered that one comic where Perseus and Medusa team up and beat up Athena. I’m sorry but that won’t happen in a million years, Athena spoils Perseus rotten she gave him more magical gifts and support (for one single quest mind you) than any of her other heroes including Odysseus and Heracles. It would take a lot more than Medusa telling him her tragic backstory to make him believe her and turn on his elder sister who has been nothing but supportive.
Also it’s crazy that Athena and Hermes didn’t give Odysseus flying sandals so he could go home. It’s kinda hilarious.

HOMERIC HYMN
Homeric Hymn 11 to Athena (trans. Evelyn-White) (Greek epic C7th to 4th B.C.) : "Of Pallas Athena, guardian of the city, I begin to sing. Dread is she, and with Ares she loves the deeds of war, the sack of cities and the shouting and the battle. It is she who saves the people as they go to war and come back. Hail, goddess, and give us good fortune and happiness!"
Homeric Hymn 39 to Athena : "I begin to sing of Pallas Athena, the glorious goddess, bright-eyed, inventive, unbending of heart, pure virgin, saviour of cities, courageous, Tritogeneia. From his awful head wise Zeus himself bare her arrayed in warlike arms of flashing gold, and awe seized all the gods as they gazed. But Athena sprang quickly from the immortal head and stood before Zeus who holds the aegis, shaking a sharp spear: great Olympos began to reel horribly at the might of the grey-eyed goddess, and earth round about cried fearfully, and the sea was moved and tossed with dark waves, while foam burst forth suddenly: the bright Son of Hyperion [Helios the Sun] stopped his swift-footed horses a long while, until the maiden Pallas Athena had stripped the heavenly armour from her immortal shoulders. And wise Zeus was glad. Hail to you, daughter of Zeus who holds the aigis!"

how did the other siblings of apollo react to apollo going no contact (second song au)?
Ok txny I have to thank you because this question made me go big-brained mode last night and now I got paragraphs for you. I hope you like them lol
Ok, first of all, let me actually let y’all know what the incident that made Apollo leave was. So basically, for years Apollo had been held to an unrealistic standard that he could never achieve. Any failures led to harsh punishments, which worsened Apollo’s quality of life, which worsened his performance in all of the stuff Zeus cared about, and the cycle continues. This all came to a head when it came time to apply for college. Zeus wanted Apollo to follow in his footsteps and study law at his alma mater. Apollo really wanted to make music, but he knew that would never go over well. Instead, he applied to a med school, hoping that the job would be prestigious enough that it would impress his father, even if it wasn’t law.
Sadly Apollo was mistaken, and Zeus became furious. He began constantly berating Apollo, basically telling him that he was basically going to disown him once he turned 18. Eventually Apollo snapped, and the two of them got into a huge fight one night in front of the whole family. Keep in mind that none of the other siblings knew the true extent of how Zeus treated Apollo. Things got physical, with Zeus pushing Apollo down a flight of stairs, giving him a nasty cut, a serious concussion, and getting him hospitalized. This is the last time anyone in the family saw Apollo. Once he woke up, Apollo refused any visitors, and basically went from home straight to college, refusing to talk with any of his family again.
As for how everyone felt about it?
Ares: 29 years old, currently an active military member stationed in Texas (for reference, the rest of the family is in California). Ares had already left the state when Apollo went no-contact, and the two of them weren’t particularly close. Ares basically didn’t really care, as he’s already pretty distant from the rest of the family as it is. He visits during holidays and makes nice with his younger siblings, but to Ares it’s all just doing what’s expected of him. If Apollo wanted to leave that behind, more power to him.
Hephaestus: 26 years old, currently works as a mechanic in northern California. Hephaestus is the only other family member that has little to no contact with the rest of the family. It’s just that unlike Apollo, there was no fanfare when Hephaestus left. Living with a physical disability in a house where your mother despises you and the man who was meant to be your father was horrifically neglectful kind of sucks, actually. Hephaestus left the family behind at 18, and has been doing pretty well for himself since. Because of this, he actually doesn’t know that Apollo followed in his footsteps two years later. Who knows, maybe the two of them will run into each other in the future.
Athena: 30 years old, currently working as a historian in her hometown. Athena is actually older than Ares, as Zeus was with Metis before Hera, and just didn’t tell Hera about it. She lived with her mother for 4 years until her untimely death. After that, she had to move in with Zeus and Hera, which was the first time Hera ever heard of her existence. This is also when Hera was pregnant with Hephaestus. Whoops. After all this, Athena has become a bit of a father’s girl, mainly because Zeus would defend her against her stepmother’s hatred. She doesn’t know all of the details of Apollo’s relationship with Zeus, but her love of her father blinds her to any fault he may have had. The two of them don’t talk anymore for a reason.
Hermes: 22 years old, currently going through undergrad for a degree in communications. Hermes was really hurt by Apollo’s departure, almost as much as Artemis was. He looked up to Apollo a lot, and kind of thought he was infallible. To Hermes, the whole incident came completely out of nowhere, and he still doesn’t know who to stand with. Torn between his brother and his father, he hasn’t tried to contact Apollo since it all happened.
Dionysus: 20 years old, currently going through undergrad for a degree in theatre. Dionysus is the opposite of Hermes, and desperately wants to get back into contact with Apollo, mainly to soothe his own curiosity. Dionysus was born after the majority of the family drama, and was only 14 when Apollo left. He’s kind of dropped out of the family emotionally, but he still wants to know how everything went down. Sadly, Apollo did change all of his contact information after leaving the house, so Dionysus is left with a bit of a wild goose chase to do on top of all his college work.
Thalia: 18 years old, currently a senior in high school, looking to pursue professional archery. Thalia and Jason didn’t move into Zeus’ home until they were pretty old, Thalia being 11 and Jason being 9. This means that Thalia only spent a year in the house with Apollo before he left, and didn’t really know him that well. She mostly just feels bad for Artemis.
Jason: 16 years old, currently a sophomore in high school. Apollo left when Jason was only 10, so he really doesn’t remember that much about him. All he remembers is that Apollo used to drive him to school when Hera was too busy (or just wouldn’t bother) and watch over him while Zeus was at work. If you were to ask Jason what he thought of Apollo before they reunited, he would have said that his brother seemed like a kind person.

Title: Chapter 14: Ground Zero Part 2
Fandom: 911, Dark Mater (Blake crouch, 2024)
Pairings: all the varieties of Buddie are running amok in this fic.
Summary:
If you could go back and change the choices in your life, would you?  Would you love the same people, go on the same vacations, have the same career? Or would you have regrets? After the lightning strike, an unexpected visitor makes Buck question all the choices he’s ever made. From dropping out of the Seals to never making a move on Eddie because the time hasn’t been right. He’s going to get an up close and personal look at what could have been because another version of Buck is focused on taking his choices away from him—including Eddie and Christopher Diaz.
Tags/warnings: dark themes, dubious consent, explicit sex, kidnapping, murder, minor character death (not our versions of Christopher, Buck or Eddie), drug use, identity fraud, topping from the bottom
Tumblr media
“Dad, what’s going on? I thought Buck was behind us in the Jeep.”
Eddie winces. He’d had to take the call with Athena on speaker as he didn’t want to get pulled over for talking on his phone while driving, and he doesn’t have headphones in his truck as they’re sitting at home on a charger.
“Mijo,” he starts, thinking as he speaks, “you’ve noticed that Buck has been weird lately?”
“Yeah,” Christopher admits, shredding his lower lip like he feels guilty acknowledging that he’s noticed something wrong with Buck.
“Well, I found out why. You… you remember the last Spiderman movie?” Eddie asks, referring to Spiderman: No Way Home.
His son’s frown is canyon-deep in the rearview mirror with the Jeep behind him and Buck watching him, aviator sunglasses on that are new and hide his eyes. “Yes?”
“How there were multiple spidermen?”
Christopher immediately picks up his meaning and is slightly skeptical. “There’s multiple Bucks?”
“Yes.”
“How?”
“Honestly, Mijo? I’m not sure I understood the explanation—but the Buck in his Jeep behind us? It’s not our Buck.”
“Then why’s he been pretending to be our Buck?”
How do you explain to an eleven-year-old that someone is chasing you to have your ass? Your ass that might be a bit sore today from being plowed by the love of your life? “He wants us and where he came from… he couldn’t have his world’s version of us.”
“So he came here to steal us?”
“Yeah.”
“What happened to our Buck?”
“He tried to trap our Buck in the universe he came from,” Eddie explains, distilling his explanation down to the plot of a superhero movie.
What has his life become?
Living in a telenovela would be safer, and there used to be days he did think he lived in one.
“That’s not nice,” Christopher observes. “How did you find out?”
“Our Buck made his way home, Mijo. He missed us so much he figured out how to get back here.”
“Of course he did. Buck’s smart.”
Eddie can’t argue with Christopher—Buck is smart.
“What are we going to do with the evil Buck?” Christopher asks before Eddie can respond.
“Evil Buck?”
“Yeah, evil because he tried to take our Buck’s place. That’s not nice. None of the Spiderman’s did that.”
His son isn’t wrong.
“Maybe don’t call him evil to his face,” Eddie cautions. “We’re not sure he’s the only other Buck that made their way here. We need to let Athena work.”
“Aunt Athena?”
“Yeah. Buck went to her and explained everything. They’re working on a fix,” Eddie explains, sounding more confident than he is. “We just have to act normal, okay, Mijo?”
“Act normal. Like doing Saturday chores?”
“Exactly, Mijo.”
“That doesn’t seem hard.”
“We can’t let this other Buck know that we know he’s not our Buck,” Eddie stresses.  “If he finds out we know, he could get upset.”
“Okay.”
“I just need you to do normal Saturday things like clean your room and finish your homework.  If I say you need to do something, I need you to listen and do what I say.”
Christopher watches him in the rear view mirror, expression too serious for his young face. “You’re scared of him. Of this Buck.”
“He’s not our Buck, Mijo. He almost took our Buck permanently from us.”

Part Four of RAEisd in the End
Mater List prev
TW Grief
It took a while the journey was not easy, but they found a Library in that library. They found a book it talked of another dimension, the End which none of them had ever heard of. Sherbet, almost laughed it off as a fairytale, a myth, but with the chance that Athena could be there, they had to admit that it might- possibly- maybe- be real.
A few days later Jame and Sherbet got letters from Athena. They said that they were in the End and that they had made three new friends
[crossed out in purple ink] an ender hybrid scientist who was teaching them redstone.
[crossed out in purple ink] a farmer who has an extensive garden.
[crossed out in purple ink] an adventurer who was from the Overworld.
***
Rae and Athena had been spending a lot of time together in the library. Athena now could make so many redstone contraptions! Their favorite was the redstone clock.
Ghosty also would come and check on the two of them often. Usually, he dragged them out to Centross’s garden.
Centross was enjoying the company of Ghosty he wasn’t the best at farming but he did try to help as much as possible. Athena also was a blessing, the nether hybrid was amazing at getting Rae to take breaks. They were also just a ray of sunshine brightening the cold dark end.
After a few days, the four of them had settled into a routine. Ghosty had suggested that they have dinner together. However Athena was the only one who could cook in any sense of the word, and even that was manly baking.
Enderian showed up once again and said that it was Athena’s 17th birthday. Athena asked to send letters to their friends.
***
Two adventures multiple dead ends. finally! finally, they had reached it. They would be able to find a missing member and bring them home safely. All they needed to do was open the portal.
Jame was the first to find the portal. In front of the portal was a lectern with a book full of gibberish. Thankfully Sherbet and Will are very good at puzzles.
***
Centross had tricked Rae into sleeping in the garden. Leaving the other two members of the household to chat in the living room
Ghosty was recounting one of his many adventures. It was one Rae had already heard so he wasn’t missing out on anything.
Suddenly a roar erupted all over the end. Shocking everyone, Rae awoke with a start.
“Centross, do you know what that means?” He said turning to the farmer.
“Rae, no.” The guard ordered.
“Centross,” Rae said standing up.
“Rae you are not to go to the portal.” The warrior’s voice was stern.
“Are you going to stop me?” The vessel challenged.
“It’s my job, Rae”
“It’s my dream Centross” with that he ran to the edge of the island and jumped into the void. Epros had already teleported him to the portal by the time Centross reached the edge.
“Fuck! Fuck, fuck fuck!!!” Centross began to pull his hair, “why can’t you just make my job easy Rae!” With a huff, the servant of Enderian went inside.
Ghosty was sitting with Athena on the moss carpet trying to keep them calm. The young hybrid was holding onto Rae’s cat Bucket for dear life.
“Centross, do you know what’s happening?”
“If I had to guess Athena’s friends are here…” he calmly explained. At once Athena jumped up.
“So they’re gonna take me home?”
“I’d assume so.”
***
“A dragon! There’s a dragon?!” Sherbet exclaimed as they came to their senses.
“Yeah,” Easton said calmly.
“Ok time to kill a dragon,” Mombo said as the town began to fight.
Rae watched the overworlders fight ⟊⟒⏃⋏. It was fascinating how varied they all looked, unlike the End-citizens who all have very similar traits.
The overworlders were easily able to overwhelm ⟊⟒⏃⋏. The final blow was delivered by a person who was covered in flowers and had red-orange hair. Rae saw the end portal open but it was unstable.
The overworlders looked at the portal but didn’t enter instead, they went looking around in the opposite direction.
When he was in the clear he went over to ⟊⟒⏃⋏’s body and placed his hand on her snout, “⋔⏃⊬ ⊬⍜⎍ ⎎⟟⋏⎅ ⊬⍜⎍⍀ ⍙⏃⊬ ⏁⍜ ⏁⊑⟒ ☌⏃⏁⟒⌇ ⍜⎎ ⏁⊑⟒ ⏃⟒⏁⊑⟒⍀.”
An enderperson came up behind him and placed their hand on ⟊⟒⏃⋏’s snout, “⊬⍜⎍ ⋔⏃⊬ ⌇⌰⟒⟒⌿” a common thing, in the end, to say to the dead. As more enderpeople began to gather and give ⟊⟒⏃⋏ her last rites, Rae slipped away into the portal.
Rae had to shield his eyes from all the light as for the first time in a long time he was in the overworld.

📖✨ Monthly Reading Wrap-Up
October 2024 Edition
📗 I Have Some Questions for You by Rebecca Makkai Mystery/Thriller | ★★★★☆ (4/5) A true-crime podcaster returns to her alma mater to revisit an old murder case, stirring up buried memories and unexpected revelations. Review: Makkai delivers a gripping and layered narrative that tackles both suspense and self-reflection.
📕 A World of Curiosities by Louise Penny Mystery | ★★★★☆ (3.75/5) In the heart of Three Pines, a hidden attic leads to secrets buried in Gamache’s past, as a new generation wrestles with unresolved mysteries. Review: Intricate and compelling, but I felt like the characters made bad decisions purely to advance the plot and elevate the stakes.
📙 The Librarian of Burned Books by Brianna Labuskes Historical Fiction | ★★★★½ (4.5/5) A captivating read that will resonate deeply with fans of historical fiction, particularly those who appreciate stories about the power of literature to overcome adversity, the resilience of women in the face of oppression, and the beauty of love and hope in the darkest of times Review: A beautiful, moving tribute to the power of books that (surprisingly!) centers queer characters.
Click 'keep reading' for the full list and StoryGraph links.
📘 At First Spite by Olivia Dade Romantic Comedy | ★★★☆☆ (3/5) After a broken engagement, Athena moves into the tiny Spite House she bought for her ex-fiancé, only to discover that his infuriating older brother, the man who convinced him to leave her, lives next door. Review: This story does a decent job depicting depression, but unbelievable scenes and cringe banter pulled me out of the story several times.
📗 The Witness for the Dead by Katherine Addison Fantasy | ★★★★☆ (4/5) Thara Celehar, a Witness for the Dead, uses his gift to bring closure to lost souls while facing dark mysteries in the city of Amalo. Review: A quietly powerful story with heart and compassion at its core, full of political intrigue and mystery.
📕 The Grief Stones by Katherine Addison Fantasy | ★★★★☆ (3.75/5) Thara Celehar, a Witness for the Dead, uses his gift to investigate a noblewoman’s murder, uncovering disturbing secrets within a girls' school and confronting painful truths in the shadows of Amalo. Review: While I enjoyed this book, the pacing was off, and some plot lines were rushed.
📙 A Great Reckoning by Louise Penny Mystery | ★★★★¾ (4.75/5) Gamache takes on the role of commander at the police academy, uncovering corruption and a map that could solve a decades-old mystery. Review: One of my favorites in the series; a beautifully layered narrative with suspense and emotional depth.
📘 Glass Houses by Louise Penny Mystery | ★★★★☆ (4/5) When a mysterious figure appears in Three Pines, it sets off a chain of events that forces Gamache to confront his past decisions and their deadly repercussions. Review: A thought-provoking mystery with masterful tension and a gripping storyline.
📗 Kingdom of the Blind by Louise Penny Mystery | ★★★★☆ (4/5) Chief Inspector Armand Gamache finds himself named as one of the executors of a stranger’s will, leading to an intricate mystery rooted in secrets and lies. Review: Penny's storytelling shines with rich character depth and an intricately woven mystery.
📕 The City We Became by N.K. Jemisin Fantasy/Sci-Fi | ★★★★☆ (3.75/5) In a vividly imagined New York City, five people embodying the boroughs must come together to defend it from an otherworldly threat. Review: I enjoyed the premise, but sometimes the messages felt hamfisted.

Love and Secrets
Tumblr media
Persephone Hera James was born on January 1st at 12:03 a.m. She was 6 lbs. 6 oz, 17 inches long. Persephone is a twin. Her sister Andromeda Athena James was born on December 31st at 11:58 p.m. She was 7 lbs. 3 oz. and 20 inches long. Born in different months and different days in different years, it sculpted two individual personalities.
Andromeda grew up tall and thin. Her body was that of an athlete. She was popular and outgoing. Persephone was two inches shorter and, at one time, fifty pounds heavier than her sister. She was smart, but she preferred to keep to herself. While her sister exuded confidence, she remained confined. Andromedia had a string of good-looking guys lining up to be with her. Persephone was not into dating. She was more about going to bed with a textbook than a guy. Typically, twins stick together. They have an unbreakable bond. They may have a secret language or be able to finish each other’s sentences. This was not the case with the James sisters. They did whatever they could to be their own people.
It was the summer before their first year of college. Andromeda, more commonly known as Annie, had a full gymnastic scholarship. Persephone, more commonly known as Perri, had a full academic scholarship. Both girls were going to Pepperbrook College in Kennedy, Tennessee.
The only thing they had in common was their love for their big brother, Holden Pollex James Jr. He was two years older and an extremely good-looking guy that Andromeda’s friends drooled over. Holden had also received an athletic scholarship to play baseball.
Holden was very protective of Perri. Annie could take care of herself. He knew that Perri lived in her sister’s shadow. He tried numerous times to help her breakthrough, but she just never seemed very receptive to the idea. He knew all she wanted to do was go to school and get her degree so she could go to another school to get another degree, which would lead her to her final destination of becoming a psychiatrist. He was determined to help his sister have an epic summer before she started with a full class load and her full-time job.
The James family had money. Lots of it. Perri felt guilty accepting her scholarship since she knew her parents already had college funds for their children. They had enough for each of them to afford any school, anywhere. Their parents were very rarely home. And very rarely home at the same time. Their mother, Charlotte James, was a neurosurgeon at a prestigious Phellem-Phillips teaching hospital. Their father, Holden Pollux James Sr., was a tenured professor of Greek studies and the head of the history department at Tennent Carlson College. Annie didn’t mind. Her parents gave her full access to hers to use as she pleased. Holden used his to help pay Bohdi’s tuition, and Perri decided to invest hers. Because, well, she’s Perri.
Holden had a best friend named Bohdi Patrick O’Neill. Bohdi was the target of Annie’s attention. While she could have anyone she desired, she wanted him. Bohdi never seemed very interested. He was a talented basketball player. Unfortunately, the school he wanted to attend didn’t offer him a scholarship. It was his father’s alma mater, and he was set on going. His parents divorced when he was young. He had learned that his mother had been cheating on his father when he found out he was going to be a big brother to a half-sister. His father was destroyed. It took him a long time for him to crawl out of his depression; by the time he did, Bohdi was already used to being on his own. He spent a lot of time with Holden and their other friends, Lewis and Jake. He also spent a lot of time with the twins. He always had a soft spot for Perri. He thought that she was the more beautiful of the sisters. He adored her sense of humor and envied her intelligence. No matter how hard he tried, she never gave him the time of day, even though Holden had given him the all-clear.

I totally get what you're saying, but I want to give you another perspective.
I don't think it has anything to do with the fact Athena is a POC. If it was any other actor in that same role, no mater their race/ethnicity, people would still potray her as "The Mom". Also, she's not "Everyone's mom". It's canon that her and Hen are best friends, and Athena and Chim don't interact much but they have a mutual love for their found family and that's all they need. People put Athena in the role of Buck's mom because of her relationship to Bobby (which makes her a seudo step-mom). It's the same with the MCU fandom and Pepper Potts. Peter and Pepper have very little on-screen interaction (if any) but because of the relationships between Peter and Tony, and Pepper and Tony, they get grouped as a Mother/Son dynamic.
Also, speaking from my personal experience with my own Found Family, I don't think it's done to undermine the platonic bonds, it's to give them the credit they deserve. I regularily refer to my little brother's Godmother as my Aunt because even though there is no biological relationship, it's the only word that I have to describe the love I have for her. "Family Friend" seems to insignificant. The reason people give their found family traditional titles, is because as a society we don't have the terminology to describe a non-familial bond that runs do deep the other person is apart of what makes you who you are.
Edit: I scrolled through the reblog tags after posting this and I want to say a few things before anyone bites my head off.
As someone is a similar postion as Buck/Maddie (There is 11 years between me and my brother) even though it is very much our parents raising him, he is my first baby.
I saw a tag mentioning that they never put Lena, Lucy, Maddie ect as Buck's "Mom". That's because: a) Lena was his replacement they are barley every friends in fics much less family. b)Lucy was Eddie's replacement, same deal as Lena, and Buck and Lucy kissed (as dubious as the consent was). c) Maddie is already Buck's family, there is nothing "Found" about their relationship, sure they've had to fight for it at times, but it was already there even before we knew about it.
I understand that it's frustrating to have the relationships seemingly undermined by "Traditional Structre" but many people are lucky enough have a traditional family, and so they have never had to build and fight for a family the same way the characters do. Nobody is trying to make these relationships less significant by giving them a traditional title (mom, sister, brother, in-laws). They are just using what they know.
is it controversial to say that while i LOVE the found family dynamic of 911 i cannot stand the way the fandom has forced traditional familial structure onto the characters. like buck is bobby’s son i get because it’s canon that the characters perceive it that way, buck and chimney being brothers is just their literal family dynamic as in laws, this much im fine with. but the hen is bucks big sister, athena is everyone’s mom, ravi is everyone’s little brother…. like just chill out. it is first of all just annoying, second of all undermining to the deep platonic bonds, and third of all sometimes feels a little insensitive (placing the black woman in the motherly role to people whom she is not the mother of nor does she have any responsibility towards)

Mater Athene, born from the head of mighty Zeus, goddess of warfare and wisdom. I find you in the words of grandparents as they recollect stories of their past. Great goddess, I thank you as your watchful gaze, strict yet kind pushes me to do my best. Reminding me that ambition and passion are not flaws. Hail lady Athena, protector of all; noble goddess of wisdom and matron of the arts.

"Sometimes you're just too wise ya know that Atti? Thank you though... Ah hope ah can blossom real nice for her. Ah wanna make her proud." He smiles shyly, a soft frown hinting beneath for just a second. The fear of disappointing his mother would never be gone fully. But with Atticus here, and with the others from the Athena cabin it helped ease the burden just a bit.
"Well we gotta get em all dressed up then. Some fresh lettuce and maters. Ah wonder if we can get any fresh shrimp to fry up for 'em. Fresh is always best. Might need to send Remy out to pick em up. In the mean time we can start workin on the batter, maybe the sauces too." In a matter of moments Oliver is quickly rattling off a to do list. Mind focusing on the next task at hand, ready to forget his own troubles for now. It always was easier to leave things in the past, or keep them locked away until they are ready to burst down your door. It just made things easier, made it manageable. "That reminds me, next week ah gotta make some beignets for ma boys. It's been too long since ah made y'all some sweets."
Tumblr media
One of the many gifts Atticus got from his mother was his keen vision, those grey eyes could percieve just about anything— everything from possible chess pieces on a battlefield to the world around him and what he could learn from it to those in his life who hid behind deception and charisma. That smile reminded Atticus of the first night he arrived at camp, Oliver was hiding all that pain behind it but Atticus knew him well enough now to push through it. When Oliver was desperate for some kind of help or comfort, Atticus would be there to pick up those broken pieces and rebuild the son of Persephone.
Tumblr media
"And that only makes you stronger," he cupped the blondes face for a moment, there was no logical explanation for the chaos they had endured but he hoped there could be some comfort in knowing this would only build them to be better. "Spring is coming soon, Oliver. Like your mother, you will blossom exquisitely." They stood in silence for a moment or two before Oliver seemed to compose himself once more. "That sounds splendid, Ollie. I know the boys will love it."
