I really cannot emphasize enough how long I've been on blogs warning people that we were moving like a slow motion riot towards disaster in this country.
We are literally tumbling slowly towards a Civil War.
Let me make this much perfectly clear. We live in a Police State, and we have for a very long time. And if you're my age or younger, this is all you've ever known.
People living in Major Cities being Policed like a War Zone, especially black and brown folks, the LGBTQA Community, and our Nation's Immigrant Communities, are ANGRY, and they have been angry for a very long time.
Every time a Cop is caught on camera MURDERING a black man, and we all line up in Protest, they tell us to be Peaceful. They talk about having Patience. They want to talk about "dialogue".
What's the point of dialogue when it's no more productive than taking to a wall? What are we supposed to be being patient for? Another all white jury to find a Killer Cop innocent???
And why should we be Peaceful any longer, when nothing changes but the names and faces of the dead???
No, the time for Peaceful dialogue is over. The time for patience was over a LONG time ago.
In fact, the only thing that's actually surprising about these angry Protests and nightly Riots is that it took this long to reach this point!
To make matters worse, we've all been in death grip between low wages, excessive housing costs, rising food prices artificially kept at excessive cost by corrupt Government Regulations favoring super Corporations like Mansanto, DuPont and others; as well the endless mountains of debt incurred to attend College and in some places just to attend a decent fucking Highschool.
If you're the average Working Class American in a City in the Deep South, making barely more than the Federal Minimum Wage, then chances are your Employer might as well just cut the pretense and admit we're just there slaves except we're no longer even given enough to afford Housing, Food, and Utilities, and certain not enough to afford basic everyday necessities like clothes, shoes, and hygeine products, forget about trying to raise a FAMILY in that Economic Vice.
As if living in a Police State without basic necessities wasn't bad enough, we have two useless Political Parties, one of which is less an actual Political Party than it is a Fascist Organization infiltrating all levels of Government from local school boards to the Presidency and the Senate.
THIS IS NOT BY ANY MEANS DEMOCRACY
It doesn't resemble anything like a Democracy or Republic or whatever the hell they want to call it.
Then we now have roving openly Neo-Fascist Organizations operating throughout the Country with little to know resistance by Government and being openly encouraged by the President, his allies, and the nod and winks and more coming from so-called "Establishment" Republicans, whatever the fuck that means.
Not only that but these wannabe Fascists in the White House have their own State Television in FOX News.
But FOX wasn't Fascist enough for the Fascists so now they have new media sources popping up around the Wig in the White House.
The Fascists even have a whole network of Organizations supported by the wealthiest of the Ruling Class to support the ability of Fascists to Organize and Police to kill weaponless lawyerless Minorities.
With almost no pretext or attempt the shield their maneuvering these people have taken over or blocked from proper functioning most Congressional responsibilities, Regulatory Agencies meant to protect the Public from out of control greedy Corporations, and the Courts, meant to be our absolute last line of Defense against abuses.
So anyone acting "surprised" on TV with the violence in the streets, is merely being facetious.
We're on the edge of a major tipping point whether people yet realize it or not.
Just like how it only takes one person throwing a bottle at police or starting a dumpster fire to turn a "Peaceful Protest" into a Riot; it only takes one of these riots going from Glass Bottles, Fireworks, Dumpster Fires and Tear Gas; to Pipe Bombs, Molotov Cocktails, Assault Rifles, Snipers and Residential fires.
It may not be tonight or tomorrow, or even this particular wave of Protests, but we are teetering on the edge.
How long before openly Fascist Paramilitary Organizations and Neo-Nazi groups are firing on Protests at the side of Police Officers?
I'm sorry, but groups of disorganized cells of online chats hitting the streets and calling themselves Antifa or Black Bloc or Anonymous, are simply no match for the Paramilitary Organizations of Racists that have been collecting weapons, training community members, Organizing with like minded groups, and hiding out in Idaho or Utah waiting for a moment just like this to make their move and take over physical and Political Infrastructure of the Country openly.
This is why it was important to be Organizing among Socialists, Communists, Anarchists and sympathetic Civil Libertarian Groups. Instead people fell for bait and switch from Democrats and left it to Liberals to defend their Rights.
And look at the results! How's that working out for us??? Where are our Liberal and Democratic Party defenders now???
Oh right, they're hiding in the background or calling for Peaceful dialogue AGAIN.
We SHOULD have been Organizing from the moment we saw how Occupy Wall Street was abandoned by it's so-called Allies in the Democratic Party.
We SHOULD have abandoned ANY illusions we might have had when we saw Black Lives Matter Protests scrutinized and tarred by Democrats and in the Media in a way Fascists NEVER have been.
We should have known and we should have been preparing and Organizing just like the Fascists.
Now we're at the edge of a very different kind of conflict and we're ABSOLUTELY unprepared. How many Leftist Organizations have been storing assault rifles and building Pipe Bombs or training Sleeper Cells to rapidly arm and deploy on the streets of their Cities. We should have been Recruiting potential ally Organizations and getting ready to be a line of Defense for the Workers, Black and Brown families, LGBTQA Community and Immigrant Rights Groups.
All I see is a lot of kids playing with fire and NO FUCKING CLUE how to put it out or control it.
If Anarchy hits the streets, it's going to be the Fascists regain control of our Communities working with Military members, the National Guard and Police. Does ANYONE really think they're going to protect your Rights or your family's Safety????
It's good to see people pushing back for once, but I also see potential for disaster. You damn well better have a big fucking hose if you're going to start a big fucking fire.

Bless the Broken Road - 10
“Hey, Jack! How are you doing?” Jane asked when Jack picked up the phone.
“I’m doing good,” he replied.
“How are things with Ashley?”
“Great. She’s amazing and we’re having fun.”
“That’s awesome. I’m glad to hear that. So listen, Rossi, one of the members of my team is throwing a party for the 4th. I was wondering if you and Ashley would want to come?”
“That sounds like fun! I’ll have to double check with Ashley and make sure she didn’t already have something else in mind, but I’d love to come!”
“Great! I’ll text you the details.”
~~~
“You know you really didn’t need to bring anything. I’m pretty sure Rossi has all the food we can eat covered,” Spencer told Jane, glancing at the bowl of fruit salad she had resting in her lap as they drove over to Rossi’s place.
“Yeah, but I thought it would be polite to bring something.”
A few minutes later, they pulled into the driveway and parked. They went around the house to the backyard gate as directed and were greeted by Garcia.
“Happy 4th you guys!” she cheered. “Ooo Jane! I love your dress! It’s so beautiful!”
“Oh, thank you, Pen!” Jane replied, giving her dress a little twirl. She had dressed for the occasion; red, white, and blue.
“And I see you convinced Reid to wear some festive attire as well.” You had bought the classic flag tee from Old Navy for Spencer to wear today. “You both look great, my power couple!”
“Reid, Addison! Welcome!” Rossi greeted them as he walked over to them.
“Thank you. You have a lovely house!” Jane told him.
“Uh uh uh,” he said, putting his pointer finger in the air. “I don’t have a house. I have a mansion.”
Jane failed to suppress a laugh. “Right, ok. My bad, I’m sorry.”
“Shall we join the rest of the party?” Rossi suggested.
The other three nodded and followed him over to the patio. The rest of the team was already there.
As they approached, a little boy with blonde hair came running up to Spencer.
“Hi! It’s so good to see you!” Spencer greeted the child, scooping him up into his arms. He smiled and turned to Jane. “This is Jane.”
“You must be Henry,” Jane spoke, giving a little wave at the boy.
“Henry, can you say hi?”
Henry reached a hand out to Jane. “Pretty.” Everyone around them laughed and JJ and Garcia let out an “aww”.
Morgan called out, "You better watch out, pretty boy. Looks like you've got some competition!"
“Where’s Jack and his girlfriend?” JJ asked after they all calmed down from Henry’s cuteness.
“He should be coming soon.” Jane’s phone began to ring and she pulled it out of her purse. “Speaking of Jack. Excuse me.” She walked away from the group a bit to answer the phone call.
“Hey, I believe we’re at the right house, but no one answered the door,” Jack told her.
“Oh, shoot. I forgot to tell you. Come around the right side of the house to the backyard. I’ll meet you at the gate.”
Jane headed back to the gate and arrived just as Jack and Ashley did. She greeted her brother with a big hug.
“It’s so good to see you!”
“Likewise,” Jack smiled back. “Jane, this is my girlfriend Ashley,” he told her, gesturing to the strawberry blonde woman standing next to him.
“Hi! It’s nice to finally meet you. Jack talks about you a lot,” Ashley said.
Jane felt a hand tap her shoulder and then wrap around her waist. Spencer had come over to join them.
“Hey, Jack. It’s good to see you,” he said.
“Ashley, this is my boyfriend, Dr. Spencer Reid. Spence, this is Jack’s girlfriend, Ashley.”
He smiled and nodded at her in greeting.
“Well, come on, let’s go introduce you two to the rest of my team!”
After introductions were made, everyone sat down to eat dinner.
“So how did you two meet?” JJ asked Jack and Ashley, making conversation during the meal.
Jack looked over at Ashley then back to JJ. “Ashley moved in on the floor above mine. I ran into her as she was moving in.”
“And he means that literally. He about knocked me over,” Ashley chimed in.
“Yeah, I was looking at my phone and not paying attention to where I was going.”
Everyone chuckled a bit.
“So what do you do for a living, Ashley?” Jane asked.
“I’m a nurse at the hospital.”
“That’s great!”
The team continued to talk and eat and hang out. When the sky started to get darker, they broke out the fireworks. Jane and Spencer lit some sparklers and played around with Henry and Jack (Hotchner).
When it got to be later, Jack and Ashely decided to leave, as they had to drive back to Richmond. Shortly after they left, the rest of the party guests decided to call it a night as well.
“Man, I’m tired!” Jane exclaimed as she got in the car and stretched her arms.
“Do you want to just stay at my place tonight?” Spencer asked.
“Sure, sounds like a plan.”
~~~~~
A few days later, Jane sat at her desk in the bullpen, working on paperwork.
Anderson came up to her and handed her an envelope. “This was dropped off for you.”
Jane frowned as she examined it. It didn’t have a return address on it. She opened it to find a note inside.
WATCH YOUR BACK
Jane looked back up at Anderson. “Who gave this to you?”
He shrugged and shook his head. “It came with the daily mail.”
“Alright, thank you, Anderson.” He nodded and walked away.
Jane stuffed the note in her desk drawer and headed to the break room to grab some coffee.
Meanwhile, Reid returned to his desk from asking Morgan a question about the file he was working on. He found a note sitting on top of his paperwork.
Your smile is gorgeous.
He grinned and looked up to see Jane heading to the break room. He grabbed his nearly empty coffee cup and went to join her.
“For the record, I think your smile is absolutely stunning,” he told her as he entered the room.
She turned to look at him and smiled, slightly confused as to where the compliment had come from. “Thank you.”
Garcia popped her head in. “We have a case, my lovelies.”
They followed her out of the break room and to the roundtable. Once the rest of the team joined them, Garcia began the briefing.
“Four women in Fredericksburg, Virginia have been killed via multiple stabs to the chest. Now there’s another woman missing.”
“Stabbing these women that many times. That’s overkill,” Morgan stated.
“It also means these crimes are personal,” Rossi added.
“How are these women connected? I mean, how do we know it’s the same UNSUB?” JJ questioned.
“I’m glad you asked,” Garcia said. “The first four weren’t abducted and brought to another location. They were all killed on the spot. All are around the same age and were attacked at night.”
“And it’s possible the UNSUB couldn’t silence the new missing woman fast enough and was forced to take her with instead of killing her right away like the others,” Jane suggested.
“Since the case is so close, we’ll just drive there,” Hotch told them. “When we get there, Morgan and Addison go to the crime scene of the 4th victim, Reid and JJ go talk with the missing girl’s parents and boyfriend, Rossi and I will go speak with the coroner.”
~
Morgan and Addison headed to the parking lot of a bar where the 4th victim was stabbed.
“So the victim probably came out here alone at night. The UNSUB could’ve been watching from behind a car and jumped out to grab her and stab her before she could scream,” Addison thought aloud.
“TOD was around midnight,” Morgan said, looking at the file on this phone. “So I’m the UNSUB. I crouch behind a car and watch for the girl to come out alone, waiting for the perfect time to attack.”
“But we said these were personal crimes. So the UNSUB must have known she’d be at this bar. What, did he just hope that she’d come out alone?”
He shrugged. “I don’t know.”
~
The team gathered at the local station and relayed back what they had learned.
“All four bodies had fabric in the mouth, most likely from a glove the UNSUB was wearing while keeping them from screaming. That also means there’s no DNA from the UNSUB on the bodies,” Rossi told them.
“Our missing girl, Hollie Turner, was reported missing shortly after midnight. She was out on a date with her boyfriend at a late showing of a movie. He had to go to the bathroom and she went to go wait in the car. He came out to find her purse spilled over the ground and no sign of her,” JJ said. “Security footage showed nothing. It was too dark,” Reid added.
“All of the time of deaths are around midnight, so that makes sense that she was taken around then,” Jane stated.
“So the UNSUB attacks from behind and covers their mouths with a gloved hand to quiet them, then stabs them,” Morgan summed up. “But the missing girl must’ve fought back and freed her mouth so she could scream and the UNSUB had no choice but to take her with to finish off later.”
”What do we know about victimology?” Hotch asked the team.
”Caucasian females in their mid-20s. Other than that, there’s no common link. Hair and eye colors vary as do jobs and other life aspects,” Reid answered. ”Excuse me.” The team turned to see a local cop in the entrance of the room. “This was delivered here for the BAU.”
Hotch took the envelope from him and brought it to the center of the group. Jane frowned when she noticed the similarity to the one she had received earlier that day.
He opened the envelope and found a picture of Hollie tied up. Across the top was a message:
SAVE HER ”It looks like she’s in an abandoned building,” JJ said, craning her neck to get a better look at the picture.
”Look right there.” Reid pointed at the corner of the picture. There was a window. Through it, you could read a street sign.
The team immediately moved to the vehicles and headed off to find Hollie. They found her in the same state as she had been in the picture, but the UNSUB was nowhere to be found. Hollie was taken to the hospital to stay overnight just to be safe. Once she was checked out by the doctors, the team got permission to send in Jane and JJ to go talk to her.
”Hollie, we need to ask you some questions about the person who did this to you. Are you up for that?” JJ asked.
The woman nodded.
”What did he look like?” Jane asked.
”I never saw him. I managed to rip his hand off of my mouth, but as soon as I screamed, he hit me over the head and everything went black. I woke up in the building you found me in, blindfolded.”
”Did anything happen to you while you were in that building?” JJ asked.
She shook her head. “No. I wasn’t harmed the whole time I was there.”
”Alright, thank you. Rest up, Hollie.”
The two agents stood and exited the room. ~
With no leads, the team was forced to head back home without closing the case.
”But what about the families of the victims? We can’t just leave them not knowing!” Jane argued when Hotch told them they were going to head back.
”That’s just the way it is sometimes,” he told her. The team drove back to headquarters and then headed home for the night.
Jane agreed to stay over at Spencer’s place again. On the way back and for the rest of the night, she remained quiet.
”Jane, are you alright?” Spencer asked her as they laid in bed.
”I just can’t help thinking that it was way too easy to find her,” she told him, shifting to look at him. “Think of it. No leads and then we get a picture that leads us directly to her, yet the UNSUB left no way of finding him. It’s like he wanted her to be found.”
“Stop thinking about it. There’s nothing more we can do. Let’s just get some rest.”
She sighed and nodded. “You’re right.”
She scooted closer to him and they went to sleep.
~
The next morning at work, Jane and Reid separated to go to their own desks, both finding envelopes without noticing the other also received one.
Jane opened the envelope and pulled out some photographs. Immediately, she saw that they were photos of her on the last case. A photo of her leading Hollie over to the ambulance was paired with a note reading:
That girl was lucky you saved her.
Another photo had her crossed out with a red marker along with the note:
Too bad the same won’t be said for you.
Jane let out a gasp. She quickly looked around. Fortunately, nobody seemed to have heard her. Grabbing her mail from today and yesterday, she glanced over at Reid before making her way to Hotch’s office.
“Do you have a minute?” she asked him after she knocked on the door.
“Of course. Please, come in,” Hotch welcomed her, gesturing to the seat across from his desk.
She obliged and handed him her mail. “I received this note yesterday and these pictures just a few minutes ago. Anderson tells me they came with the regular mail and they don’t have any return addresses on them so there’s no way to track where they came from.”
Hotch picked up the notes and pictures and examined them as she spoke. His brow furrowed in concern.
“Maybe it’s a joke, or nothing, I don’t know,” Jane said, unsure.
“No,” Hotch countered. “You were right to come to me. Have these sent to trace to see if whoever sent them left any fingerprints or anything.” Jane nodded. “Until we figure this out, I don’t want you to be alone.”
“I can stay with Spencer,” she said, agreeing.
“Good.”
“Can we keep this quiet for now? I don’t want people to worry,” she asked.
Hotch agreed and she exited his office.
Back at his desk, Reid opened his own mail to find a note:
Your intelligence is so sexy.
His eyes widened and he cleared his throat, surprised by the forwardness of the message. Jane usually never talked like that. He looked up when he noticed Jane coming out of Hotch’s office.
“Are you alright?” he asked, concerned.
She faked a smile and nodded, heading over to his desk. “Yeah, I’m good. Do you think I can stay at your apartment for a while?”
His eyes narrowed momentarily in confusion but agreed. “Of course. You know you’re always welcome there.”
~~~
The lab was unable to find any trace of the sender on the notes or pictures. Over time, Jane continued to receive more notes and pictures:
A picture of her and Spencer walking to the door of his apartment complex.
Smart of you not to go anywhere alone.
A picture of her and Spencer in the window seat of a coffee shop.
I’m still watching you.
A note without a picture:
Be careful who you trust.
Eventually, it got to a point where Jane refused to go anywhere other than work and Spencer’s apartment. Whenever Spencer questioned her as to why she didn’t want to go out, she’d just claim she wanted to stay in and be homebodies.
More notes came to Spencer as well.
The things I’d do to you if I got you alone.
That lip bite is such a turn on.
I want to devour you.
I want you now.
Eventually, Spencer couldn’t take it anymore and decided to confront Jane about the notes, convinced she was too afraid to say anything to his face and wanted him to make a move.
He pulled her from her desk, asking to talk to her, and led her to an area of the building that was out of sight of the rest of the team.
“Spence, what-”
He cut her off with a rough kiss, pushing her against the wall. She was surprised at first, but kissed back, allowing herself to run her fingers through his hair. Spencer began to trail kisses down her neck.
“Spencer?” she questioned.
He moved his hands to the hem of her shirt and she stopped him, jerking away.
"Look, Jane. I have to admit that all of this is new to me. I've never-erm-done anything with anyone before. But if that's what you want, then I'm willing to try," he told her.
"Spencer, what are you talking about?"
“The little notes that you’ve been sending me,” he explained. “You know, about ‘wanting me’?”
She shook her head. “Spence, I haven’t been sending you any notes.”
He frowned. “What? Then who-”
Jane’s breathing picked up and she quickly grabbed his hand, dragging him back to his desk.
“Gather all of your notes,” she demanded.
“Ok...” he reached into a drawer and grabbed the little pile that was forming of all of the notes he had received.
“That’s all of them?” she asked.
“Yes, Jane, what-”
“Let’s go.”
She guided him to Hotch’s office, entering without knocking.
“Hotch, I think whoever's been sending me notes has been sending notes to Reid too,” she told him in a rush.
"You've gotten letters too?” Reid asked, looking at her. She ignored the question and handed over his notes to Hotch, who took a moment to read them.
“So this isn't just about you. It's about Reid,” Hotch stated. ”Whoever this is wants to get rid of you so they can get to Reid.”
“That's what it looks like,” Jane agreed.
“And there isn't any way to trace these?”
“I've had Garcia check security. The mailman brings the letters every day with the rest of the building's mail. Assuming the sender is a female, she doesn't deliver them herself. She probably drops them off at a post office like any other letter would be,” Jane informed him.
Reid stepped in. “Hold on, will somebody please explain to me what's going on here?”
Jane huffed and turned to him. “Someone's been sending both of us notes and stalking me. It appears mine are threats while yours are more like love notes. Basically, whoever this is is jealous of me and is willing to do anything to get to you.”
"And you didn't think I needed to know about this sooner?” He questioned, raising his voice.
"I didn't want you to worry,” she replied softly.
"Didn't want me to worry? Someone is watching both of us and you two didn't think I needed to know about it? You two kept this from the team?”
"I thought I could handle it,” Jane said.
"Clearly, you can't.”
Jane opened and closed her mouth before leaving the room. She headed back to her desk and found another note:
Talk to your brother lately?
She dropped the note back on her desk, stepping away and shaking her head. “No, not Jack,” she whispered to herself.
Jane grabbed her things and quickly headed out to her car, which had been staying in the parking lot ever since she started staying at Reid’s place.
Reid came out of Hotch’s office and noticed Jane was nowhere in sight. He went over to her desk and found the newest note sitting on top of her paperwork. Immediately, he rushed to grab his things to chase after her. As he was closing his bag, Anderson approached him with another note.
Soon.
Hotch exited his office and went over to Reid, reading the note over his shoulder.
“She left to go see her brother. It’s a trap,” Reid explained.
Hotch nodded and called out to the team, “Everyone, listen up! Drop what you’re doing and get ready to head to the SUVs. We’ll explain on the way.”
The Worst RPer I have ever met (Nemo Saga Chapter 3)
 Okay, so let’s talk about the first worst RP and my worst Idea first. The Spooky RP.
 This idea should be on the list of unlikely and terrible crossover ideas ever. Simply imagine Spooky’s House of Jumpscares except no 1000 rooms, the layout is more akin to the Arklay Mansion and the spooky monsters that hunt you down are replaced with the Zeds from Killing Floor 2. This was during a time in my life where I had worse ideas in mind, and while I am not fully better, I’m slowly improving the ideas and concepts of something else before I end up doing the mistake of writting the “Life is Eldritch” Fanfiction... ANYWAY!
 The Plot of this RP I told to Nemo was that my Characters had taken over a small abandoned mansion and turned into an a haunted house attraction where an AI would sorta pick what monster comes out while a female character named Kate decides to do the voices to do some kind of a twisted warning about it. I told it to Nemo and he accepted it. Only because it had spooky and he was a big fan of Markiplier. And don’t worry, Markiplier doesn’t make a cameo.
 Anyway, we begin this RP tale in October 30th, where the next day would soon be Velora’s Birthday (yi-fucking-pey). After some random bullshit where some dude through coffee on Velora’s Face for no reason, Everyone goes to the Mansion near the Villa.
Short Explanation: The Villa is a small abandoned “Town” that was half finished and forgotten by the government. The few buildings finished are just the town plaza and the Mansion own by a man who’s name is forgotten. The mansion is the setting for this RP.
 Anyway, they go in, dressed as a bunch of Emo’s and are told the rules. Nemo thought he was being sneaky when he and his mommy sues brought guns but I counter acted this by telling them that the monsters were incapable of harming them and in having a gun, they deprive themselves of the horror of a Haunted Mansion.
 But then fucking suddenly, Anathalia’s Archnemesis, Adelie (Brothel Owner lady), shows up and takes Anathalia. But Nemo then handcuffs her and the police take her away.
This won’t be the last time this shit happens.
 Within minutes we show them the mansion and how it works. While he was trying to push me into having Exposition dumped into my face, I tried to introduce the RP’s Main threat, the Spooky Hologram (I’ll explain what the fuck I was trying to do at the end of the story, because explaining everything here is confusing.) Needless to say, I forgot to mention to Nemo that this RP, while taking the title of Spooky, was a complete diversion from the games but he is still convincing himself he played through this game and it’s nothing.
 So the objective of this haunted mansion thing was to have people choose a direction and try to go through with it. Think of it like an escape room, except you’re trying to escape the house from mutants who can’t fully hurt you but can give you one hell of scare with their wails and hissing. Nemo and Velora chose the Basement while Anathalia chose the Second Floor. And then the games started.
 Then fucking suddenly, Adelie shows up (No details about how the fuck she escaped) and asks around for Anathalia to bring her back the brothel (Because kidnapping a “famous celebrity”, and doing so is more trouble than it’s worth!) and Nemo decided to have Kate (The person that we both created and the voice of the Spooky Hologram) go and try to defend Anathalia. It was there where Anathalia decided to choose Kate as another candidate, but Aiden and Ruby (Aiden being a sort of avatar of mine and Ruby being an obvious nod to an artist I like and a Female Dragon) tried to defuse the situation but Nemo comes and tries to stop the situation by threatening Adelie with a gun (Yeah, dipshit ignored da rules of the mansion and somehow had another gun.) But before anything could go any further, The cops show up and she is taken to a jail in paris yet again. Making this whole conflict pointlessly unnecessary.
 Meanwhile, Nemo and his mommy sues returned to the Maze and he keeps brushing off minor things that aren’t being part of the game as part of the game. I know it’s a sort of method for us to calm the fuck down but he was so smug about how the “escape mansion” was just like the Spooky game. Until he reached the laboratory, where the Killing Floor Zeds were being stored and manufactured. He at first brushed it off, until the lights of the lab came on and he saw them all, these hideous freaks all moving around in their cages, waiting for an opportunity to tear into him like a lion on a gazelle.
 He still continued to brush it off, but it was there where the Hologram made it clear that No one in the control room is doing this, it is now running the show and will now unleash these freaks for its own amusement. But leave it to Nemo to try and deflate the scary moment by adding in fucking “bachata” music (Bachata being a sort social dance music for us latinos). I wanted to go with a sort of dark like tone and he just adds unnecessary BS like this and just ruins it.
 It is after that the spooky AI was going to decide to unleash the monsters on them and he would have to escape the mansion with his life.
Big. Fucking. NOPE
 He teleports away to safety, ruining the conflict so bad that I argued for a re-do because it was that insulting. I know It sounds annoying but jesus christ! I shouldn’t have done this because all I did was prolong the agony further.
 Anyway, It was there where Spooky had tried to force Nemo and his Mary Sues to pick a path and stick to it. His mary sues had the attention span of toddlers because they ignore everything she says, asks her about what is it like being a ghost (Despite the fact I told him in the beginning it was a Hologram.) and then I decided to pull a Deus Ex Machina out of my Ass and just have her ZAP away their powers. Nemo’s Response?
 Nemo(From the Archived RP I had): Did you know you can't do that to me, right? I'm different.
 Ofcourse he doesn’t want to play fair. Ofcourse, OFCOURSE! He has to act like he’s such a SPECIAL AND UNIQUE Snow flake. I was so sickened by this that instead of teleporting away, he just rushed the scary moments of being chased by the Zeds and then he escaped to the control room. Where the dipshit begins to change the subject to an unimportant side plot about how Adelie found Anathalia. I won’t explain the details, but it had something to do with a Hot Topic employee being a spy for Adelie and such bullshit.
 I broke character as Aiden, so tired of this inane bullshit, decides to grab a rifle, arm Eddie and an unpaid janitor, to go down the basement and take care of the monsters before they get out and then, just because I realized how much of a fucking mistake both the RP and the attraction was, I would burn down the mansion. Nemo gets offended that we were going to destroy the mansion and tells us to leave. So we do, and Nemo then decides that the next logical solution is to MURDER MY FUCKING CHARACTER and throw his body out of the rooftop of the mansion, ignoring all the other characters trying to kill him.
 But it’s okay gais! Because it turns out it was a Demon call Jack, Who was making him do the bad thing and Nemo has the most anti-climatic battle. I wanna take this moment to take another quote from the RP. Because I never noticed it and now that I do, I find it so hilarious
His friends like Ruby, Anathalia and Kate are in shock. What will they do without (Nemo)? They'll never know.
 Well, I can tell you one thing. Ruby would not miss someone who just happened to have Killed their friend in cold blood when there was never a sign of this possesion to begin with!
 So after an anticlimatic battle that could fit in the confines of a tweet, Nemo defeats the Demon and the day was saved. And he swept away all the problems by reviving my character and had all of my characters go “Oh, It wasn’t Nemo, it was a demon! He was the good guy all along.” And then there was a party.
 Aiden, Despite being revived by his “Saviour” has not forgotten his goal. So I told everyone to get ready for a big firework display. And everyone gave their stupid recommendations.
 At first the house had a minor explosion, before the memories of that shitty night were erased in a massive ball of fire. Bringing a huge smile on my face and an angry Nemo on my character’s face. He got into some whiny bullshit about how he would buy the land and rebuild it for the Vampire Clan or some Bullshit, and since the Vampire Clan was so Big and Important to the government, I took it a step further by lighting the flag on fire and telling him “I’ll call you for a war declaration later.” He repeats how I’m offending the vampire overlords but I told him I never gave a fuck. And he just flipped my character off.
 and that was the worst RP I have ever had with Nemo, and it sure as Shit would not be the last.
And now... A brief explanation on what in the actual fuck was the POINT of the Spooky RP:
 The idea for the Spooky RP was inspired by my experience playing KF2 on a free weekend on Steam while also learning about Spooky’s House Of Jumpscares. So I had a thought: Why not have an RP where there is a sort of Spooky Esque character trying to narrate your “demise” while also being chased by zeds. Although not mentioned in the RP, the origins of the Zeds come from the Mansions “Laboratory” level below the Basement, and when Aiden and Eddie first found it, they were stuck down the for a day until they shredded their way out. It was there where Aiden had the bright idea of creating the escape mansion to make a quick buck. But since they can’t just go and kill them, the characters decide that the best course of action is to lead the zeds out of the basement, trap it and try to declaw or detooth them, due to how dangerous those parts can be. As the mansion was built and the AI was already created, the AI went through an “Ultron Phase” as I like to call it, looking through video footage of the somehow working cameras of the mansion and seeing both Eddie and Aiden harming this creatures for entertainment purposes. So it plotted their demise and its plan to release the creatures out into the streets of Puerto Rico just for giggles. How the “Spooky AI” spoke was by replicating a lot of Kates Vocals and then mimicking it in a same pitch and everything. Yeah, it doesn’t make a lot of sense but I tried to atleast come up with a good idea before it got ruined horribly.
I should’ve quit after the SteamPunk disaster but I guess I’m responsible for my own demise when it comes to bad RPs. And like a masochist, I just kept coming for more.
Photographer Spotlight Kevin Cunningham: It’s quite often we receive messages sent to us via social media (mostly Facebook) asking us to share photos, plug a website, etc. Mostly people wanting to promote themselves, their business, show-off their photos, car/truck or whatever it is. They rarely care about who is behind the social media page, what our interests are or our mission; their goal is to primarily go viral. That is all obvious with the tone of the message they send to us, “yo share my stuff!” and off to the next page they go asking them to share.
It is not very often you find someone with a crazy amount of talent, who is on the same brain wave when it comes to ideas, beliefs and photography style. It’s even more rare to find out you served in the World’s greatest Navy together. I found all of those things in Kevin Cunningham a couple of years back when he reached out to us via social media, but with a polite respectful tone and he wasn’t all about himself.
It all started with Harley Davidson’s Project Livewire, Harley Davidson’s first electric motorcycle. Kevin sent over a message with a few amazing photos of Project Livewire that were edited to perfection and I’m pretty sure Kevin (as humble as he is) will say, “the photos are OK” because, that’s the type of person he is, as humble as they come. The photos are excellent shots, that covered every aspect of the motorcycle and the unveiling and they definitely caught my attention. It was all down hill from there, Kevin joined the CarShowz Family.
Kevin’s photography experience while serving in the Navy and running Seahamm Photography is a nice addition to the CarShowz Team. We are a close-knit family-oriented team of like minded individuals who make up the CarShowz brand and Kevin is a perfect fit for our team.
While our Mid-Atlantic coverage team has now expanded, Kevin recently made a move out west where we now have access to more events such as Good Guys, Barrett Jackson and more. Kevin has covered major events such as the U.S. Vintage Grand Prix at Watkins Glen, The Watkins Glen Grand Prix Festival, multiple Good Guys Car Show events, Concours In The Hills and events such as OC Carshow, Cruisin OC and others.
Kevin continues to be a great friend and a part of the CarShowz family. We wanted to thank him for all of his hard work he continues to do for us. This month we had a chance to interview Kevin for the CarShowz Photographer Spotlight and to get into Kevin’s brain a bit to see what makes him tick 😉
Check out Kevin’s question and answer session below…
Photographer Spotlight Kevin Cunningham Q&A
CarShowz: What inspired you to get into Photography?
Kevin Cunningham: I’m not sure if I’ve ever really thought about that before.  I know the reason I bought my first point-and-shoot.  I wanted to document every aspect of being in the Navy.  I believed all the hype that the commercials show, so I wanted to be ready to capture memories of the great adventures that I would be a part of.  Once I started getting more serious about photography I had some solid support from my family and from some senior sailors to pursue it further.  I think that encouragement inspired me more than anything else.  It’s what pushes me to continue trying to learn and get better at this little hobby of mine.
CZ: When did you first pick up a camera and start taking Photography seriously?
Kevin Cunningham: I bought my first DSLR in 2007 or 2008.  It opened up a whole new world for me.  I had a hard time figuring out how to properly expose my shots so that trusty Nikon D40 stayed in Auto most of the time and I had to kit lenses to choose from.  The first couple years with a DSLR were not my best.  Nor did I try to learn very much.  When the Command Photographer on my ship, Nathan Rathjen, noticed that I had my D40 with me everywhere I went, he started trying to teach me the finer aspects of owning such capable cameras.  I didn’t catch on very quick.  So it was a surprise to me when he told our chain of command that he wanted me to take over as Command Photographer after he left.  That meant I migrated from a cheap crop sensor camera to having a $9000 full-frame Nikon kit at my disposal.  Talk about a steep learning curve!  It took me over a year to even start understand the D700 I was in charge of.  That was the beginning of Kevin the Photographer.
CZ: What gear do you shoot with? Preferred lenses, equipment to shoot with, etc.?
Kevin Cunningham: Right now I have two Nikon D5100s, a 35mm prime, a 50mm prime, an 85mm prime, and an 11-17mm ultra-wide angle lens.  I have a bunch of assorted gear also.  Lighting, filters, etc.  As you can probably tell, I really like my primes.  Even with crop sensor cameras, they are SHARP.  The same can be said for my UWA.  I find myself using the 11-17mm lens a lot not only for landscape photography but also at car shows.  I try not to get too many extremely distorted shots, but I like how I can get a lot of the vehicle without having to be half a parking lot away.
CZ: How would you describe your style?
Kevin Cunningham: This is a good question because my personal photographic style is what took me the longest to figure out.  I tried everything I could and not until I got Lightroom did I really nail my style.  I shoot a lot of abandoned/run-down stuff so my style is defined by a darker, slightly underexposed, sharp feel.  I have to work really hard on making sure weddings or family sessions are exposed correctly because I always feel like they’re too bright according to my style.  I have to keep reminding myself that not everyone likes the grunge feel.
CZ: What is your most memorable photo and why?
Kevin Cunningham: This is a hard question for me to answer because I realized as I was browsing through my photos one time that I can remember details about every photo I’ve taken.  It’s almost like looking at the photos takes me back in time to that exact moment.  So, to a degree, all of my photos are my most memorable.  I’ve never taken a photo that would be considered jaw-dropping.  That’s what I would love to do.  Take a photo that can start a larger conversation.
Of the ones I’ve taken, there are two that make me the most proud from a photographer’s standpoint.  The first being the shot of the Jägermeister race car at Watkins Glen International.  That whole experience was absolutely surreal.  And to shoot a vehicle moving over 100 mph with a shutter speed of 1/30 of a second was the topping on the cake.  Of my landscape work, I think the last photo I ever took when I worked at Wallops Island makes me the most proud.  All of the elements of photography came together perfectly and instead of continuing on to work, I stopped, got out of my car, shot the photo, and get yelled at for being late.  But that photo was worth it!
CZ: What is your most favorite car or truck you photographed and why?
Kevin Cunningham: Another tough one.  I like weird/unusual/unique vehicles.  I’ve also been fortunate enough to shoot A LOT of vehicles for CarShowz.  The newer GT-Rs are probably some of my favorites.  They’re almost like a forbidden fruit to me.  I will NEVER be able to afford one.  And out of all them, the Driven To Cure GT-R would be my favorite.  How can you not love that car and what it stands for???  I feel very lucky to have been given the opportunities I have to capture car shows for this site and I’m not sure I can answer this question as it has been asked.  I can give you a gallery of my favorite cars/trucks if you want 😉
CZ: What is your most memorable photo shoot session and why?
Kevin Cunningham: Man, you’re killing me with these questions.  If I had to choose only one it would have to be the weekend I spent at Watkins Glen.  I grew up 15 minutes down the road from that track and had never gone until CarShowz got me in to shoot at the age of 30.  Going back home is always amazing and to throw vintage race cars and track side access on top of it?  It would be EXTREMELY hard to top that.  Although, another one comes to mind.  In one of the towns I lived in a boxcar had stopped on the tracks in the middle of the hood for like 3 days.  My buddy climbed on top of it and spun steel wool while I took a long exposure shot.  About 20 seconds after the shutter closed a cop car came driving by asking if I was taking flash photography.  I answered that I was not and they informed me that someone reported fireworks in the area.  “No officer, I haven’t seen any fireworks.”  My buddy started climbing off the boxcar as they drove away.  They drove right by him and stared as he hopped off.  They kept on going.  That one was memorable because for a few minutes I was sure me and my buddy were going to jail and yet, afterwards, it was hilarious!
CZ: What places (to include car events and others) are on your bucket list to visit for photos?
Kevin Cunningham: Pshhhhhhh, do you have three hours to read my whole list?!  I’ll list some below but the list keeps growing every day…
Norway for the Northern Lights and amazing landscape shots
The Galapagos Islands for the flora and fauna
The Iditarod/Alaska for the Northern lights and dogsled race
The Pacific Northwest for the landscape shots
A legit California car show (I’ve got a taste of the West Coast scene and I want more!!!!)
SEMA for sure!
TROG – Mike M’s coverage has given me some serious beach fever!
The middle of the ocean (I’ve never had the opportunity to shoot underwater and I want to REAL BAD!)
CZ: What tips would you give up and coming Photographers?
Kevin Cunningham:
Step outside your comfort zone!  I’ve had conversations with a National Geographic photographer and a world famous long exposure film photography just because I reached out.  How do you think some little wannabe photographer and car show enthusiast ended up shooting photos for a website like CarShowz?  I reached out to Jeff with some photos I had taken of Harley’s electric motorcycle that weren’t good at all and now look where I’m at.  Every time I go to a show with my gear and tell people I’m shooting for this site it almost seems like I’m a liar.  Like I’m posing as someone I’m not supposed to be.  I still can’t believe I’ve been given this opportunity.  I cherish it every time.  And all it took was me growing a pair for the 5 minutes it took to put an email together.  Sure, it’ll cause you anxiety to do it but seriously the worst thing anyone can do is say “no thanks”.  Then you move on and try again.
Don’t ever stop learning.  I thought I was hot shit after I got out of the Navy and started taking photography classes because I had been Command Photographer for 2 years.  Let me tell you, I didn’t know half as much as I should have.  I learned A LOT while I was in school but even if you don’t want to go to school or can’t afford it the internet is a wonderful place with even more free information.  Keep trying, keep Googling.  You’ll get there.
Find your style.  Try everything until you find something that clicks.  Then keep pursuing that until you think you’ve got everything down.  Then push it to another level.  I love HDR but I found my limit of what I find personally acceptable by pushing it too far.  Your style is important and don’t ever let anyone put you down for what you like.
Try to find the fun in it.  I have had some serious adventures because of photography and I would encourage anyone to do the same.  Just don’t do anything illegal 😉
CZ: Is there anything additional you would like to add that we did not cover?
Kevin Cunningham: Well, you never asked how I got so awesome or how people can donate money to me so I can buy lots of really expensive camera equipment and become a famous photographer!  😛  Nah, I’m a pretty low-key laid-back guy that loves photography and cars.  I live in Tempe, AZ so if anyone out here wants a feature all you have to do is reach out and we’ll get it scheduled!
CZ: Are there any shout-outs you would like to give?
Kevin Cunningham: I HAVE to give a shout-out to Jeff.  (Yeah, I actually typed that – Jeff didn’t edit it in after the fact)  He accepted me into the CarShowz family and I couldn’t be more grateful.  I really do feel like a family member.  I’d like to give a shout-out to Mike M. and Mark P. because those guys accepted me in with no question.  Their coverage pushes me to get better coverage just to match them and that’s a valuable thing.  The year before I even hopped on this CarShowz train, I met Mark in Ocean City.  He pulled his Monster Magnum in and I got a shot of it.  Then, being the naïve baby tog I was, offered to send him a copy of the photo because I thought it was awesome.  And now I get to work with the guy!  All three of these dudes are inspirations to me.  I’d like to give a shout-out to the people who have supported me over the years.  It’s been a lot of people so if you think you’re one of them, just throw your name in there and you’re probably right.  I’d also like to give a shout-out to the people like Jason Duhon and Andrew Lee.  People who are genuinely good.  I’ve met my fair share of ignorant, cocky, arrogant, inconsiderate car people over the years.  The genuinely good people are the ones I remember well.  Those are the people I want to be around when I go to shows.  If you’re a genuinely good person, keep doing your thing!  Put those positive vibes out into the world and they’ll come back to you.  🙂
We would like to thank Kevin for taking the time to sit down with us. Be sure to check out our other Spotlight features Mark Pantalone and Mike Mieczkowski.
Be sure to check out Kevin’s social media pages and also please don’t hold it against him that he shoots with Nikon. 😉
