There are not many times in which you find yourself busy and Austin stays home for the day to watch Luci. It’s a balance and trade off, for sure, but you’re a writer—there’s less chances for you to have to go in to work unless it’s table reads or drama. You like to be on set but are less needed when it comes to producers and directors, and you’re completely okay with that. It allows you to be home and present in your passion all at the same time.

You just feel lucky for the most part that you and Austin aren’t working on projects simultaneously. Don’t get it wrong, you do love that this whole writing thing has worked out for you. It’s just…with today, the only thing you hate is that you’re missing is that Austin is taking Luci to the zoo.

To be clear, you don’t exactly blame this decision—you and Austin had been planning on taking Luci there for a while now, she’s been learning all these animal names and noises and is super excited at treating the entire trip like a safari of some kind. When you get called in to work unexpectedly, you’re not about to ruin that trip for Luci even though Austin offers to go another day.

It's fine, there will be other zoo trips for sure, and besides,

“Work will definitely go a lot smoother if I got cute videos to look at while dealing with actors and script changes. I’ll be in a zoo of my own making.”

Austin smiles a little, rubbing the back of his neck, “Just doesn’t seem fair to you.”

You hum lightly, moving to place yourself on his lap as he sits on the couch, wrapping your arms around his shoulders, “What’s not fair is canceling this trip on Luci because I have to work.” You smile down at him as his hands slide up and down your thighs, “Besides, she’ll have more fun with you anyways.”

Austin rolls his eyes, squeezing your hips, “Don’t even say that.”

Smirking, you lean down to press your foreheads together briefly, “I might be able to show up for the tail-end if I get everything in order. Something to look forward to.”

You can tell Austin isn’t one hundred percent satisfied with that answer but because you’re willing to do it that way? He sighs and nods, hooking his finger underneath your chin to draw you into a kiss.

It’s not that Austin doesn’t think the whole zoo trip isn’t going to be a great day, he knows it will be (and it is), it’d just be more complete with you there. He sends copious amounts of videos to you as he and Luci make way through the zoo, pausing at different enclosures. He’s only recognized a handful of times by fans and all the interactions are decent, respectful of his space with his daughter. And his most entertaining reaction is someone asking ‘Is Y/N here too?’. He says no but snaps a selfie with them to text you,

Luci does a lot of investigative adventures with every animal she visits, so ready to ask questions and copy their sounds as much as she can. Very entertaining—he’s got an entire album collection of it at this point.

Right before the aquarium part of the zoo, Austin carries Luci into a gift shop on his shoulders so she can take a look around. Her arms are kinda tight around his neck every so often, but he doesn’t mind, holding her by the shins as she leans one way or another to point out stuffed animals to him.

“I think we should get mom somethin’.” He picks her up off his shoulders and holds her against his chest, her legs wrapping around his upper torso. “What do you think?”

Luci grins, that big cheesy one that always makes him chuckle, “Yessss.”

“Alright,” He presses a kiss to her cheek, “Which one?”

He picks up a few animals as they walk—a cow, a seal, a lion, Luci seems to love them all, but she doesn’t settle on any of them. Not until he picks up a panda, however, that one she reaches for instantly, squeezing it to her chest. He smirks, playfully tugging one of her pigtails that she has in because he’s gonna need that to check-out.

As they head out of the gift shop, if Austin had to guesstimate, Luci’s got about another good hour in her before she starts needing a nap—he hopes you’ll be able to make it before then.

You don’t exactly rush your time on set, but you’d be lying if you weren’t paying attention to the hours and minutes creeping by. You give yourself a limit in order to work everything out between directors and actors, knowing exactly when you should leave. It’ll be fine, you know it, and they can always call you back tomorrow. At the end of the day, it’s for the people on set to figure out—you can only give so much guidance.

The last series of texts and videos that you got from Austin were right outside the aquarium and you hope aren’t too late. While you love the updates? It’s nothing compared to seeing it in person.

Making your way to the zoo, you quickly park once you get there, paying for a ticket and making a b-line for the aquarium. Running a hand through your hair, you take a look around, everything covered in a soft blue light from the reflection of windows and water—has to be one of your favorite places to visit. When you were in high school, you wanted to work in an aquarium, become a marine biologist or something. God, if younger you could see you now.

You smile a little, rounding a corner and walking up a ramp, knowing the best way to do this is to start from top to bottom (best way to view the aquarium in your opinion). You’re about to text Austin when you turn a corner and see them, pausing to observe. Austin looks utterly beautiful underneath the soft blue waves of light, his eyes even a crisper shade than usual because of it. He’s standing against one of the glass windows with Luci in his arms, watching as she points out fish that swim by.

He grabs one of her hands at one point, kisses her knuckles, and then lets her go—talking with her about jellyfish, manta rays and sharks alike.

You swear your heart swells twice its normal size.

Austin turns a little to look behind him, mostly at the people who move past, but his gaze flutters up and he notices you. Always has been able to find you in a crowd. He smiles a little, offering a small wave even though Luci hasn’t seen you yet. He leans down and whispers in her ear and Luci brightens as she quickly turns around, squiggling to be put on the ground.

You can’t help but chuckle as Luci takes off in a sprint when she’s free…and then completely spills out by tripping on the carpet. This is definitely a typical occurrence, still trying to find her sea legs.

“Oh babe,” You say as she gets herself up but starts crying. You know it’s mostly out of shock rather than pain but Austin is quick to scoop her into his arms again as you approach.

“Quite a wipeout.” He says fondly, checking her hands and knees just in case she has any scrapes. Her tears are big and slightly dramatic as they roll down her cheeks, lower lip wobbling as she gulps air, “Hey, hey,” He croons, gently bouncing her against his side, “You’re alright, not a scratch.”

Austin makes a big production of kissing the back of her hands, blowing small raspberries into her forearms until she giggles. He’s really good at that, you realize, making her laugh. It just seems to be Austin; he always knows how to make you feel better too, even without trying very hard.

“There we go,” He smiles a little, “Want to give mama what we got her?”

You raise your eyebrows, “You got me something?” You smooth your hand through one of her pigtails, waiting for Austin to hand her the bag. Luci excitedly reaches inside and tugs out—

You gasp, reaching for it with bright eyes, “Oh my goodness! What is this?”

“A panda!” Luci exclaims, clearly very proud of the purchase. “See? It’s got spots momma.”

You let out a soft laugh because, of course, how could you have not known that? Austin grins and takes the bear for a moment, having it kiss your cheek. And then you can’t help but kiss him—far too quick but just enough. Luci reaches forward, interrupting the closeness between you and your husband, wanting to be held by you.

“Okay,” You laugh, taking her into your arms, “What do you want, troublemaker?”

“Fishies!” Luci declares, pointing over your shoulder, wanting to go see.

“Fishies?” You ask, grinning with a squeeze, looking over at Austin before moving forward, “What about jellies? Seahorses! Sea urchins—see any of those yet?”

Luci shakes her head but she’s definitely ready to explore. You set her on the ground and she takes off running again, eager to accept another adventure despite tumbling a few minutes earlier. You smile, your hand finding Austin’s effortlessly as your other holds onto the stuffed panda.

You’re so happy you didn’t miss this day.

Alright, I'd match you with...

Jean Pierre Polnareff

I felt that Polnareff was a strong match for you, especially given your type. I wanted to match you with someone who is loud, funny, and overconfident, but knows how to tone it down just a touch when appropriate, so you have someone that fits your type, but is still good for you and doesn't wear you out in the long run. I'd say especially in the beginning, Polnareff does most of the social heavy lifting, he could talk to a brick wall for an hour without caring, so it makes it easy for you to get to know him, and become comfortable around him, before you start opening up in return. We know he's a very forward person, so you never really have to struggle to figure out what his intentions are, or decipher complex social cues, what he says is pretty much what he means.

It doesn't take long for Polnareff to consciously decide/realize he likes you beyond just a friend. He especially loves how optimistic you are, he can be a touch reactive, even moody, so your outlook reminds him to look on the brighter side of things. Throughout the show, he's very sweet to the girls and women the crusaders come across, so I think he would take that to the next level with someone he actually knows likes. Opening doors for you, pulling your chair out, generally being very attentive. He's definitely a romantic, and he'll remind you that's because he's a Frenchman at every opportunity.

He is just insufferable during the flirting stage. He is always trying to show off for you, and blatantly at that. Straight up flexing for you, letting you feel his muscles, making a show out of lifting or carrying things. You'll never have to carry luggage or shopping bags again in your life, and he'll probably tell you that point blank. And god does he love to make you laugh. You wanted someone funny? Well he can definitely provide. Even if what he's doing isn't exactly funny, his unashamed attempts to get you to laugh will make you do so anyways. Every ten minutes you'll hear "watch this" only to watch him go off and do the most random bullshit. The others hate it, but you find it cute, he's very eager to please.

I think it wouldn't be too long before he confesses to you, he isn't a very patient man, and he's made it pretty obvious he likes you anyways. I think Polnareff would also unintentionally try to move the relationship forward very fast, you'll have to remind him to take things slow if you don't want a proposal within a month. He probably bought the ring before he even confessed anyways. Polnareff is also very fond of showing affection physically, he's always got an arm slung around your shoulder, or waist, or leaning you against him in cars, stroking your hair, holding hands, anything where there's skin on skin contact. He doesn't want to leave you alone for a second. You'll have to remind him to tone down the PDA if you don't want to be making out in public. And god, the pet names are almost embarrassing at times. "Mon amour, Mon trésor, lumière de ma vie, mon puce." If you ever respond with your own French pet name for him you're being smothered in kisses, btw, use that information wisely.

Polnareff LOVES to listen to you talk, no matter what it's about, and since he's also a chatter mouth, you'll go back and forth for hours. The yap sessions are unmatched in their longevity and intensity. He's often guilty of not actually processing what you're saying, letting it go in one ear and out the other, he just likes the sound of your voice. Maybe even more than he likes the sound of his own voice. And he of course loves your voice acting skills, he thinks it's funny, and cute. He keeps trying to teach you French, so you can "broaden your voice acting options" but he really just likes hearing your accent when speaking his language. He thinks it's sweet how excited you get over voice actors, but god forbid you ever mention someone having an attractive voice, or any show or movie with them is being blacklisted. I have a feeling he'd be a touch jealous overall, which might cause some tension in your relationship if he's not careful, but a conversation should fix that anytime he's going overboard.

Polnareff isn't as interested in books as you are, though he'd never tell you or refuse to let you read to him or talk about it. The manga how we, that he can get into. He's always been into comics and cartoons, so manga isn't unfamiliar to him, and he'll always read your favorites if you ask. He thinks it's adorable when you cry during movies, and he has to stop himself from laughing or cooing at you when you have tears in your eyes, but it's hard for him when he happens to look over at you during a sad screen and you're just staring at the screen with tears in your eyes.

He's always found you attractive, and he never chills out about it no matter how longe you've been dating. He thinks you have just the prettiest eyes he's ever seen, and your freckles are so cute. He seeks out your birthmarks like a scavenger hunt, and if he's feeling even more affectionate than usual he'll make sure to kiss everyone of them. He loves giving you his clothing, since you find oversized clothes comfy, but mostly because he loves seeing you wear his clothes. He may "accidentally" leave his clothes around your place so that you can keep and wear them.

Overall, your more temperate personality is very compatible with his more impulsive one, you keep his mood and his ego in check, and he makes sure you're always happy and tended to.

As a mario enjoyer I’m curious abt ur interpretation of the bros origins. This isn’t rlly asking what is canon cuz the series doesn’t rlly prioritize continuity and it’s all debatable etc. Personally I have a vague timeline in my head and I like to draw from pretty much all mario media but sometimes that makes contradictions. A lot of mario media has mario from new york (new donk?) and then ends up in the mushroom kingdom through a warp pipe. In yoshi’s island it seems his parents live in the mushroom kingdom though. And in partners and time baby mario and luigi are there during the shroob invasion in the past. I love partners in time a lot but I also rlly like mario being a new yorker so it’s hard to have my cake and eat it too. I guess he could be born in the mushroom kingdom then move to NY then come back? I’m not too sure. I’d like to know your take on it.

SORRY FOR TAKING SO LONG TO GET TO THIS. yeah i'm gonna be honest my take is sort of vague and meaningless because as a kid i just wanted every single thing to take place in one universe. and i sucked at making that happen. to me it sort of went like, they were delivered / born / whatever in yoshi's island to their parents. then those guys were like wait these arent our kids. then they were delivered to their actual parents or whatever (i have never really played yoshi's island i'm sorry) and they lived there for a couple of years and probably spent a lot of time with peach / around the castle because i figure if kamek was aware of the whole star children thing it's likely that at least some people in the mushroom kingdom would want them there for that. and mario has fought bowser a couple of times as a baby so who knows.

then after partners in time rolls around their parents who were sort of letting them hang around the castle went ermmmm actually nvm. we are going to brooklyn 1990 because it is Much Safer There. [looks into the camera like in the office]. and then they kind of lived in new york city for 20 years before getting dragged back to the mk in a tragic plumbing accident. even though i know they love their jobs as plumbers and are genuinely passionate about it i will admit that i like to think that mario wanted to go into paramedicine or nursing and luigi to university for aerospace engineering or something but it wasn't really feasible for them before the great eeby deebing 😔

i honestly don't really know how i imagine their parents, a lot of people have really lovely designs and concepts for them, and there's been a lot more stuff on them since the mario movie came out and gave people these dubiously canon characters to work with, but they just don't come up much in my mind. i don't want to be like "they died 💀" but also like mario and luigi are in their mid 20s and if they somehow ended up in the mushroom kingdom i figure their parents would also be able to go back there. but then you think about like the whole deal with the cartoons how the way between worlds was sealed and stuff and it just gets confusing to try and make everything work 😭

there are honestly a couple of ways i imagine their backstory, like saying oh they fell into a warp pipe themselves while exploring baby style after PiT and were adopted and raised in brooklyn or just going oh they have their own room in the castle in PiT so they probably lived there as kids or just saying they were just born in brooklyn and ended up in the mk like in the the cartoons and ignoring yoshi's island and PiT but none of them are very cohesive or really make much of a difference in how i imagine their characters yknow?

Thank you!! I'm glad someone asked because I am always in the mood to infodump about my ocs. Fair warning, this may get long as I have a tendency to ramble when I'm passionate about something-

You were correct about their names. Namiko and Tamsin are both what I call "cave elves" which are essentially elves who have adapted over time to life in a dark environment, hence why they look like toothpaste incarnates. I intend to actually flesh out the species more later on as it's a little hard to explain when I don't know myself what the species consists of.

Namiko (she/her) is my main oc (hence the pfp) and I initially created her because my teacher assigned a character design projects for my art foundations class in 2022. This was my first drawing of her, actually:

Namiko doesn't have as much substance as other characters of mine but I do enjoy drawing her often because I imagine she has a very snarky personality and is a bit of a prank-fanatic. She's also the closest I have to a persona since I draw her so frequently, so she shares a couple traits of mine (and is most often featured in the obscure meme art I draw.) Small Namiko art dump:

Tamsin (she/xir) is more fleshed out than Namiko is. I created her on a whim because a friend of mine asked me what Namiko was and I found myself so tongue-tied that I decided to draw another character of her species in an attempt to find an answer. I made her 7 months after Namiko and she started out a little rough, and I removed eye number 7 later on.

Tamsin is basically a mom friend. Very considerate and often worries about her friends, albeit being a little basic (she would definitely frequent Starbucks, just look at her). She's got a lot of siblings so I envision xir to unintentionally baby her friends around or take time to explain things thoroughly like she would to a child. She definitely also advocates for being yourself, I can imagine her being reminiscent of a kind old woman who doesn't quite understand peoples' struggles but supports them nonetheless.

As for Namiko and Tamsin's relationship, I'd say they're probably more of the childhood friend type, kind of like a sisterly relationship. They tolerate one another, but they aren't super enthused to hang out as much since they grew apart as they got older. When they do hang out, most of their interactions include Tamsin being extremely anxious and reluctant because Namiko is about to do something stupid without any thought about the consequences. You didn't ask, but these fools also have two more friends that make up their friend group, Harlow and Vesper.

Harlow (they/them) is often viewed by others as childish due to their whopping height of 4'9", but they are actually decently mature and well-mannered. They adore reptiles, and have a still-unnamed pet snake who means the world to them (despite the fact that Tamsin, their best friend, is a little hesitant to befriend their pet). I have been working on a little project regarding Harlow and a friend of theirs, but I shan't spoil it for now so here's a tiny Harlow-sized dump:

Vesper (she/they) is probably the least-drawn and also the least fleshed out of the group, even compared to Namiko. Speaking of Namiko, the two are best friends and share a love for getting on peoples' nerves. Vesper doesn't have much of a filter, though. Namiko is the type to TP your house for the funnies, Vesper is the type to place a thumbtack on your seat for the funnies.

Some dynamics and side details about the group are all written out in a discord channel so I'll copy paste them:

Vesper and Tamsin are the type to get in arguments. Not very intense arguments, just Tamsin pulling the "Hey, stop that" card whenever Vesper tries something stupid, which is a lot. Tamsin has a few younger siblings, so she has a bit of the mom-friend personality. She's a very sarcastic type when it comes to Vesper.

Vesper and Harlow are basically that "he asked for no pickles" meme. She sees Harlow as a bit of the baby of the group, which causes them a little frustration, but I feel they'd be pretty open to each other. I could see them ranting to one another.

I always imagined Vesper would have a very honest way of speaking. She'd blurt something out and be brutally honest, which doesn't always work to her favor. Also, she definitely put way too much effort into learning how to solve Rubix cubes. I can imagine her being a speed cuber in her free time, but she keeps it to herself mostly. Tamsin would act like the teacher that makes kids say bye to inanimate objects and it pisses everyone off.

Tamsin tries to make baked goods like a kind grandma but none of xir friends have the heart to tell xir that they taste like dirt. Tamsin is also constantly on the verge of rage and hates taking care of kids but puts on a front because little kids love xir for some reason.

That's all, and I'm so so sorry that this post is a behemoth. I went on a tangent and honestly I don't think I even described the characters well, but I'm super honored that you like my art and here's a little doodle to end this ask!

Currently feeling self-conscious abt my mermay content rn… I know the point of participating in this is to just have fun and be self-indulgent and shouldn’t feel obligated to post or draw something every and all that stuff, but idk I feel like I should be drawing more stuff for mermay more often, and I want to, and I can most of the time, but I feel like i waste a lot of that time and end up feeling rlly lazy. 3. how long have you been a sonic fan?

oh god okay so my sonic origin story is that when i was around 11 or 12 i caught some of satam then ended up binging all of it, then found out that it half continues in the comic series and binged ALL of archie (by that point they were at least 220+ issues in along with the side series like sonic universe, so when i say all i meant ALL of it) ... so by all technicalities it's been a little over a decade now

back then tho i didn't do anything like draw or look for fanart or read fics specifically for sonic (aka like, "fandom consumption" i suppose), so it feels kinda weird to say it's been that long even tho it's true !! i saw a weird little blue guy sayin shit like "way past cool" and "gotta juice" and i was like oh i have to find out what his deal is actually

Luja Sen, she/her

Anyways, Luja and Romila are friends from middle school (the story starts with the beginning of their high school at AoS (Academy of the Specialised) which was essentially founded by Nyx). Luja gains her Specialisation (Ferrokinesis: The Ability to bend metal) at the age of twelve, so she has it for a lesser time period than Romila.

Luja primarily wants to become a scientist. Her family is happy with that, because it's praised and everything, especially in our society.

She has a gifted child superiority complex. Being a gifted child + Specialised means that she hardly had many friends in school. Her family had tried to get her to socialize....which didn't go down too well.

She believes that most people are annoying because they waste too much time on useless things like gossiping and what not, which she never showed much interest in and doesn't like to be dragged into those nonsense.

She is friends with Romila since they do share the same taste in stuff and were the only Specialised ones in their class. And they kinda stuck together for most of middle school and went into high school.

She has a problem when it comes to seeing Romila since she tends to see her bad parts and is like, "It's a phase" considering that it's not necessarily affecting her. Romila doesn't get too cranky with her since she fascinates her, with her passion™ for science. Also because she isn't all self sacrifice UwU.

Luja cares for her own self above others (but tends to put Romila pretty close to that hierarchy, which is why she's one of the only two Romila trusts during the Mansion of Death (the other person is Kratanos)) however she also does want to keep what friends she has and is generally caring towards them.

She has a genuine love for science and loves to discover how things work and why, and her favourite facet is Physics. She does want to invent things and honestly just make stuff easier for the Specialised who face a LOT of issues, especially when it comes to amenities since the government is an ass about accomodations and they gained the Fundamental Rights like ten years or so ago in the ALTERNATIVE timeline. And they gain an additional right ("The body won't be harmed for science") when they graduate from school, after signing a contract that they dedicate themselves to helping the government when called upon. (The whole contract is stupid and basically oppresses them more especially the punishment for not abiding by it).

With her goal of becoming a scientist, she wants to use her talents to make accomodations specifically for them so that she could have done something.

The things she fears the most is failure. Failing as in being unable to accomplish her goals. She is afraid of it because it's an unknown variable that's constantly haunted her and she's working hard for it to never reach her.

I suppose there's a way for her to confront that fear during the Mid terms at AoS where she essentially "loses" in the practicals due to her......teamwork issues.

Everyone thinks of her as stuck up and isn't interested to listen to her much and since she views the others as annoying people with annoying habits, she tends to fail to regulate them, causing Romila to win instead (yes, it's THAT unfortunate of a situation) in their match, which causes her to review a LOT of things and she tries to see what caused her to lose after having a severe breakdown.

She develops an inferiority complex in respect to Romila and then spends a long time wondering where she went wrong.

Rena (who somehow clung to her) tries to cheer her up but gets turned back halfway, but she still stays on and Luja is like, "Wtf" until she sees Romila going entirely off the deep end (she presents an interesting contrast to how Koldin sees Romila as well, she sees Romila's behavior and considers it as a justification for her own self....she uses Romila to justify herself a lot (since if you asked Romila, Luja was more or less fine according to her since she wasn't being a doormat and stood up for herself) while Koldin sees Romila as the reason he should cling onto his own stuff) and realises that she could be on the path to destruction herself and accepts Rena's help and tries to be more open to others which leads to the Mid terms parallels in the Archenemy of Society arc where she "succeeds" instead and manages to get the class together enough to escape the situation.

However it doesn't mean that her fear of failure has entirely vanished into the blue, she just reviews the ways she can fail better now and works around it to avoid it and has more confidence in her own self. But she is still scared of failing and would love to avoid that more than anything. However she's chiller after that.

Her intelligence is more or less on par with both Romila and Kratanos, making them the three main strategists in the final battle against the bigots (which is basically a rerun of the Mansion of Death situation but way way worse and fucked up and has different leads to it).

The thing is that, no matter what I do, she winds up feeling like one dimensional/repetitive, which is something I am trying to amend about all the characters (I mean, I had to revamp a lot of characters so it will probably take me a long long time to actually get to writing.........sigh besides she stands up like a cardboard amongst people (I mean, you have Romila and Kratanos with extremely complicated storylines and then you have her. Just there))

So the main question is how to make her more interesting as a character and on par with the rest while still keeping her character flaws and personality?

I think the easiest way to go abt this is to view her as a sassy Bakugo. They have the main points in common. They're salty, don't like to socialise, feel inferior to a certain someone while still having some semblance of confidence and a terrible fear of failure

Now as much as I hate to compare your character to another one, it makes it a lot easier to have them become - as my English teacher would say - more. So I am sorry if this comes off as offensive-

For Bakugo, he became interesting by playing a big part in the mc's main story and we do get a few scenes where his vulnerability is shown. I assume it's the same with your character but...what rlly ties the knot for me when it comes to Katsuki is the fact that his problems...are more than just an inferiority/superiority complex. His whole thing stems from background especially (*cough* abusive mom *cough*) and the fact that he's not the main character (or rather that the story isn't being told in his perspective).

These facts make us over think and want more of him. The mystery draws us in which is why I think Luja's character is so perfect for someone in the background. She doesn't like to reveal things abt herself and is pretty dismissive to most things on top of that (plainly just salty). Her character rlly draws you in and the best way to portray those kinds of characters is through another character. Ofc, you'd have to get to their POV eventually but it's important to note that most of the details should come from someone else's POV (an observer, if you will) instead of info dumping and starting straight with hers. A character that's mysterious with a very simple yet relatable story attracts a LOT more attention and interest when seen from someone else's perspective than when you kickstart it from theirs.

Ofc, if u are planning (or already have) started the story from her POV, that would be a bit problematic in terms of interest. But not a train wreck. This is where my other point comes in. The point of making a character have more than one problem

Different ppl as well as characters have a main problem but also different ones, no matter what way you look at it. It seems that even you are confused with all ur character's ins and outs (dw, we've all been there... I am still there tbh) and a solution to that is backtracking a bit and looking at their life from the very beginning in HEAVY detail (like more than u already did). Think abt what other trauma could have been caused, what doubts and fears could have slowly crept it's way to her heart and head (I am a sucker for long-lasting doubts that develop over time) and anything you can even so much as GRASP on. If you look at it and see it as a possibility, try to fit that into her character and add it subtly in different places (as subtext or a creative pattern, wordplay, doesn't rlly matter as long as it's not openly stated bc, remember, the key thing to these types of characters is mystery).

For example, a fear of failure can stem into anxiety before the character has even lost smth later in their life. They probably get rlly anxious when evaluating smth but don't show it much or at all so no one notices. This adds even MORE to the character bc you can build it up after other events. Like once they have failed, they could probably get even more anxious and then develop a bad relationship with the person who beat them (double the points if it was a friend). You could build all that up and turn it super toxic instead of jumping right to the healing. It makes it more interesting, doesn't it? Plus, reevaluating almost everything including world views after 1 loss is...kind of hard to believe even with anxiety (no offense)

Adding a lot of little problems and thinking abt how Luja's behaviour can impact other characters helps a terrible lot if ur doing most of the story from her POV. Especially since she's probably the most relatable character (from what I've heard anyway). I have a certain saying... it goes like, "It's better to have a relatable and connecting character than one with a problem that is too big for normal people to fathom."

I like characters with heart-wrenching problems that I would never be able to relate to (take maybe Shigaraki as an example ig?) But my favourite are the ones that make me feel as tho I made a real connection

Also, I would like to say...if ur looking to progress her character even further, I would debate on whether it's the complete end to the novel or if there'll be a second part. If it's a second part, keep some of Luja's issues. Make her get better but not completely "YAY, I AM DONE BEING TORMENTED". If it's the end of the novel/series/etc., make it so that she's resolved most of most of her issues. They don't have to be completely gone but they have to be a lot better compared to how they started. And how i would work that out is a mind map but knowing ur a scatterbrain...lets talk it out where everything is all over the place

Luja's main thing is to gain confidence in herself and be finally ok with losing, right? If you ask me, that's a tough one but not impossible. I think to get her from point A to point B is to put up a bunch of events like:

Get her super anxious when doing smth

Lose to *insert person*

Have a breakdown and over think on what she could have done better (on the project or whatever she lost at)

Get even more anxious and totally mess up the next thing

Lose once again (double points if it's the same person as last time)

Overthinking abt how she's not good enough

Jin was not even worried about his supposed ‘time’ in prison during court. He knew that his smirk that he held during court infuriated both the judge and district attorney. He was sadistically pleased when the district attorney showed irritation when he asked, “why are you so happy? Are you happy from all of the murders and violence you have caused? Are you that sick in the head?”

Jin did not reply, but only gave him a wink and smirk.

Now, sitting in a prison cell, counting down the time until you came and broke him out of prison. When he heard commotion from down the wall, he knew it was time. Going to stand at the bars, he wrapped his hands around the bars, casually leaning so he can play the role of acting ‘suspicious’ on why there are gun shots being fired and people screaming. Once he saw your long hair and heard your voice ordering commands at his gang, he could not help but feel both turned on and in love.

“Where’s Kim Seokjin’s cell?” You demanded, gripping the collar of the guard.

“Fifth cell on the left,” he stuttered out, whimpering when he felt Taehyung’s gun being pressed to the side of his head.

Once you got in front of your husbands’ cell, you could not help but smile. “You look hot in a jumpsuit,” you winked at him.

When the jail cell opened, Jin brought you into him and gave you a deep, passionate kiss. Even though the two of you have been away from one another for two days, he still missed you like crazy.

“Hey, hyung, we gotta go or unless you want to be charcoal in t-minus five minutes, your choice.” Jungkook spoke sarcastically, leaned up against the wall casually, looking down at his watch.

“Watch it, Maknae.”

He was only answered with a bunny smile.

Yoongi:

Yoongi was leaned up against the wall outside, watching all of the other prisoners either play basketball or lift weights. He knew some of them, having ran into them on the streets or have done business with them, but that does not mean he is going to be buddies with them. The other ones, the ones he did not know, he found comical. From how they walked with such confidence and smugness, boasting about how what they did is worse than others to end up in prison.

Playing with the bracelet you got him for your second anniversary, he waited patiently for you. He knew that you were planning on how to break him out of this hell hole. So, when he saw a drome fly over the prison fence, he could not be filled with pride, knowing that his queen was saving him, something he found funny.

“What the fuck is that?” He heard the guards ask each other, but to be only answered by getting shot, the drome that Jungkook built having guns attached to it.

Screaming filled the outside, along with grenades going off.

Turning to look towards the explosion, he saw you walk out with a lady guard, gun pressed to her head as she led you to Yoongi. Once you saw him, you shot the guard, throwing her to the ground before you ran to your husband. When you got close enough, you jumped into Yoongi’s arms, legs wrapping around his waist.

“I fucking hate you, you know that?” Was the first thing you asked and the one thing that made Yoongi’s heart skip a beat happily.

“I know,” Yoongi smirked, taking your gun from you so he can get the both of you out of the shit hole of a prison.

Hoseok:

What scared the underground world the most is how equally crazy you and Hoseok are. Truthfully, the judge and district attorney, along with the police department were terrified when the newbie arrested Jung Hoseok and took him to court. He, obviously, was not warned about the one and only, Jung Hoseok.

Sitting through the whole trial with a blank, but deadly expression on his face, Hoseok was silent. He knew that the judge was terrified of him, which Hoseok found funny, playing with the old man by staring at him with a blank expression every time the judge and him made eye contact. Everyone in the court room that they will eventually be meeting their death soon from how they were going against the mafia boss.

Laying down on the uncomfortable bed, Hoseok stared blankly at the ceiling, messing with his rings. A terrified scream was what alerted him, but the laugh that followed after it had Hoseok’s heart soaring.

“Princess,” he whispered, but then scowled. “What the fuck is she doing?” He asked himself in disbelief.

“She is breaking your dumbass out of prison. Unless, you enjoy the bed and shitty food, then forget about it,” you answered sarcastically, arms crossed over your chest.

“Dumbass? Better watch your mouth princess,” Hoseok warned, smirk on his face as he walked up the bars.

“Fucking gross you guys, just unlock the jail cell and lets go before the swat gets here,” Yoongi groaned, shooting a guard.

Once you opened the cell, Hoseok brought you in, breath fanning across your neck, “Just wait until we get home.”

Looking up at him, a smile on your face. “Can’t wait,” you replied, kissing his lips sweetly. “I love you.”

“I love you too.”

And he did.

Namjoon:

You walked into the prison, dressed in a pair of skintight jeans, black knee length boots, black blouse, and your hair curled tightly. A confident smirk was on your lips as you walked up to the window with the front desk lady sitting behind the window.

“How can I help you?” The lady asked bored, not looking up from her phone.

Rolling your eyes, you pulled your gun out from the back of your pants, cocking it, catching the lady’s attention. “Where is Kim Namjoon?” You demanded. Trying to call for back up, you shot her straight in the heart, sighing. “Dumbass.”

“Noona! You gotta chill,” Jimin teased, “I know you miss your Da—”

Slapping him, “watch it, Jiminie, or you’ll be in trouble yourself.” You whispered into his ear, drawing a whimper from the boy.

“We got the guards covered, the door is unlocked, here’s the key to his cell.” Hoseok ran up to you, handing you the keys.

“Thanks, Hoseokie.” You smiled, turning to look behind you, “Kookie, cover my ass!” You yelled, running to Namjoon, Jungkook right behind you.

“Kitten? Is that you?” You heard Namjoon call out, making your heart race. Stopping in front of his cell, you could not help but to tear up. Not seeing him for a week, you were emotional and missed your fiancé. “Don’t cry baby, I’m here now.” Unlocking his cell, you jumped into his arms, clinging onto him. “God, I’ve missed you.” Namjoon sighed, nuzzling your head, kissing the top of it. “Let’s go home.”

Jimin:

Jimin cringed at the food in front of him, even if you can call it that. “I’d rather starve than eat this shit,” he muttered to himself, pushing the tray away from him.

The sound of the lunchroom’s doors being slammed opened and two gunshots ringing throughout the room caught everyone’s attention. Commotion rose when two guards were shot, silencing the whole room. Heels clicked against the ground, a familiar sound to Jimin.

“Where is Park Jimin?” Your voice demanded, a beautiful sound to Jimin. Seokjin’s hand pointing towards the short man had you smiling brightly, relief flooding through your body at the sight of your boyfriend.

“What the fuck is this?” A prisoner demanded, standing up from his table.

Your smile turned into a scowl, eyes glaring at the male. “What does it matter to you, asshole?”

“You’re just breaking out your boyfriend, who in fact, is a murder and drug lord instead of the innocent ones? This is bullshit.” He yelled, stalking towards, only to be stopped by Taehyung and Jungkook.

Raising your gun, you shot the man in the head, annoyed by him. This caught everyone else’s attention. “Now, if anyone has a problem with this, then feel free to stand up and make your point. If not, then good for you for wanting to stay alive.”

Feeling an arm around your waist and the person leading you out of the lunchroom, you left the prison. “You being dominant and badass is a real turn on,” Jimin said, bringing a chuckle out of you.

“I was actually nervous as fuck.”

Taehyung:

Taehyung felt disgusting.

Normally, he is dressed in name brand designer clothes, such as Gucci. Right now, he is dressed in cheap jumpsuits, something that he can tell is irritating his skin. Picking at the clothes in the washrooms, he shivered in disgust at the stain that was on it. “Unsanitary,” he mumbled, shaking his head in disappointment.

Touching his face, he looked at himself in the cracked mirror, frowning once again at how dry his skin is. The sound of someone tapping on the window caught his attention. Looking up at the window that was displayed above the lockers, Taehyung saw your face pop out from the corner. He saw your eyes crinkle, a tell-tale sign of you smiling.

“Oh God, please tell me that she’s wearing a harness.” He prayed, wanting you to be secured in the harness you are obviously wearing to hang on the side of the building.

He saw you motion back, to which he did. Next thing he knew was the glass breaking, making him cringe at the sound, knowing that it caught the attention of guards. But what was surprising none came.

“Namjoon gassed the hallways, and Jimin cut off the cameras.” You answered his thoughts. “But, I am here to save you, Romeo!” You joked, throwing rope through the window for him to use to climb through the window.

“I’m coming, Juliet!” Taehyung laughed, shaking his head. Once the two of you climbed to the top of the building, he pulled you in for a hug.

“Oh!” You said excitedly, you grabbed the backpack from Yoongi, “Here’s some clothes to change in to.”

“You know me so well,” he chuckled, pressing a kiss to your forehead.

Jungkook:

As the guard was shoving Jungkook down the hallway to his cell, Jungkook could not help but to laugh.

“what the fuck are you laughing at, Jeon?” The guard demanded, shoving the mafia lead even harder from behind.

“Oh, just knowing that you are going to be dying soon.” Jungkook answered, smirking at the fact that the guard did not shove him again.

“Is that a threat, punk?” The guard demanded, but the underlying fear was evident in his voice, satisfying Jungkook.

“No, it is a promise.”

And true to his word, the sound of explosions coming from Block A caught their attention, only the reactions different. Jungkook was holding a proud smirk, knowing that you were behind this and the guard held the look of terror. Trying to reach someone over the walkie talkie, he did not realize that Jungkook was getting away.

“Fuck! Jeon get back here, now!”

As Jungkook was running down the hallway, he was hit with a bullet in the back of his shoulder, knocking him down to the ground. Jungkook let out a ‘fuck!’ from the pain he felt. The side door opened, revealing you standing with your hair in a messy bun and dust covering your face.

“Fuck no,” you growled from seeing your boyfriend on the ground, a bullet wound evident. Seeing the guard running towards you guys, you quickly took your gun out of your holster, pointing accurately at the guard before shooting him in the chest once and then the head for good measure.

“Why am I the one always getting shot,” your boyfriend groaned in irriation, “this is the second time this month.” He complained.

“Well, if you weren’t such a dumbass, then we wouldn’t be in this position.” You countered back.

THOSE ARE THE FIRST WORDS ON THE SONG. natasha and andre (her bethrothed) met underneath the moonlight. Sokka and Yue first spoke to eachother at night and always met each other for their most intimate moments under the moonlight. also yue is LITERALLY the moon so like: right of the bat with those two words it's yuekka.

"and i saw your eyes / and i saw your smile / and the world opened wide"

sokka fell in love with yue the moment he saw her in the canal. she literally enchanted this motherfucker. everything about her made his heart go crazy. and 'the world opened wide' to me is from yue's perspective. Yue had never left the north pole and sokka had seen a good chuck of the world at the point. He took her on appa, he told her about his adventures. he saw the world yue wished to see and you know damn well that Sokka would have done anything to give it to her.

"oh the moon /oh the snow in the moonlight / and your childlike eyes and your distant smile / ill never be this happy again / you and i and no one else"

natasha sings fondly about the moon and the snow, seeing as it was where she fell in love with andre. yue and sokka LITERALLY fell in love in the same place: in the snowy nothern water tribe under the light of the moon. childlike eyes: THEYRE CHILDREN!!! distant smile: this is where it gets a little sad. theyre both children with way too many duties during a world that has known nothing but war for the past century. they want to be happy but yeah, theyre smiles are distant and far away because happiness seems out of reach for them most of the time. i'll never be this happy again: the moments yue and sokka shared together were probably the happiest either of them ever were. they were able to ignore the war and the world in the moments they shared together. and with no one else. no one else would be able to give each other this sense of peace and happiness and love.

Yue and Sokka had to sneak out in secret at night to go and see each other. Yue and Sokka couldn't be together for real because Yue was already engaged, but they were literally in love so she decided to see him anyways in secret. kasdjfhklasjd im losing my mind over them at this point.

"this winer sky / how can anyone sleep / there was never such a night before / i feel like putting my arms around my knees / and squeezing tight as possible / and flying away"

these are my FAVORITE lines in the entire song. yue and sokka had never felt this strongly about anyone before and that's why they are so drawn to each other. they had never experienced love before and they wanted to hold onto it for as long as they could even though they knew they couldnt. Sokka takes yue up on appa and she is wistful and wishes she could live like he does every day: ie flying away. oh my god these two deserved so much better. so much fucking better.

now for the saddes part. the saddest fucking part.

"maybe he'll come today / maybe he came already / and he's sitting in the drawing room / and i simply forgot"

natasha misses andre so intensely at this point. when i first listened to this show and heard this song i was like "wait a min... is andre like... dead?" and im sure i wasnt the only person who assumed that this was why natasha felt so sad by the end of such a beautiful song. (spoiler alert andre is fine)

but this line really exemplifies how sad natasha is, and hints at the fact that andre may never come back. it implies that their relationship is doomed (at least in my opinion) and that's all yuekka. Sokka misses yue intensely when shes gone. Yue accepted her fate almost immediately but sokka was in denial. he thought there had to be another way. but in the end it wasn't meant to be. and sokka will go on, loving yue, wishing for her back, even though it's not possible.

zukka: all i've ever known- hadestown

"i was alone so long / i didn't even know that i was lonely / out in the cold so long / i didnt even know that i was cold"

sokka is from the swt so theres where the cold comes in. also in the gaang (initially) it was just him katara and aang. and katara and aang were much closer to each other than sokka was with aang and the two of them were benders so sokka was kind of an outsider with the two of them. He also represses a lot of his emotions and feels the need to do everything himself so i do see a lot of loneliness in sokka. and the fact that so many people in his life have left him (his mom, yue, his dad, suki briefly, etc...) he is known to keep people at an arms length. i see a lot of loneliness in sokka.

zuko's loneliness is a lot more obvious: he has literally been cast out and abandoned by everyone except iroh. and even then he still feels the need to be alone (remember zuko alone? thought so) these boys look after themselves and push others away and revel in their loneliness in order to keep themselves from getting hurt. at least in my opinion on canon and also some fanon because id be a liar if i said fanon didnt influence how i view ALL my ships (not just zukka)

COME ONE MANNNN, they just wanna hold each other. theyre both very big protectors as well and kljhflkasdhg they wanna protect eachother like kljdhfl im gonna lose it rn.

SUNLIGHT SYMBOLISM. zuko is literally powered by the sun. i don't think i even NEED to elaborate on this one anymore lol. They find comfort in each other away from all of their trauma. when they're together nothing else matters and i personally love that for them. they both deserve love.

these two are extremely similar in canon. many parallels. older brothers overshadowed by their prodigy little sisters. longing to make their fathers proud (granted one dad is good and one is fuckin evil), both are pretty bad with emotions. both are seen protecting others before themselves (sokka protecting suki during the serpant's pass, sokka protecting toph on like multiple occassions, zuko protecting katara in the final agni kai), the list goes on. they know who the other is because they see themselves in the other person. they already know each other because they are each other (in a way, not entirely, but the similarities are strong in my opinion)

"I'm gonna hold you forever / The wind will never change on us / Long as we stay with each other / Then it will always be like this"

i just think this line is so cute and sweet (ignoring all the symbolism and foreshadowing that comes with the last line in the musical itself. im gonna pretend this is nothing but happy) and i think these boys deserve happiness so yeah. this song is zukka to me lol.

jetko: thrill of first love- falsettoes

if you've never listened to this song go an do it now. you will know INSTANTLY that it is jetko because of the dynamics alone. marvin and whizzer are pure jetko and i take no crticisms.

marvin and whizzer are both extremely stubborn, and they don't always get along, and they fight a lot, and they get mad at each other a lot, and they are both passionate as hell, and they will bring this passion into everything. they love each other that is without a doubt, but they arent perfect and they are once again stubborn and determined as fuck.

sound familiar? it's literally jetko.

the lyrics aren't what remind me of jetko, but the dynamic itself. the lyrics are too on the nose for a gay couple in 1970's america so that rlly cant apply to jetko all that much. but the way these two characters bounce off of each other and get annoyed with each other and argue with eachother reminds me of jetko. because let's be honest: these two are the most stubborn characters in the whole show. they will fight for what they believe and it will take literally everything to change their minds.

i love jetko but i think they would have petty arguments all the time and get aggravated by one another so easily. and this is even seen in canon: they work so fucking well together but they did not even HESITATE to fight one another after neither of them would give in and let the fight about whether jet was right or wrong about zuko being a firebender. like i cannot say it enough they are stubborn as fuck.

but underneath all that stubborn pettiness and bickering: marvin and whizzer still love each other. and jet and zuko would still love each other. because even though they are stubborn when it comes to arguments, they are even more stubborn and determined when it comes to each other. these two passionate motherfuckers are in love.

(now when i chose this song i decided to ignore the fact that this song literally spells out the fact that marvin and whizzer's relatinoship is doomed because they literally say passion dies. thats the difference between jetko and whizzer and marvin because i dont think passion dies. i chose this song strictly for the bickering lmao)

eponine is a girl who has neglectful parents who lives life by her own rules: toph. eponine is shown to be tough and confident and spunky to others but behind all of that she has emotions, she feels love, she hides her vulnerability so much: toph. she is in love with a guy she cant be with because he loves someone else: TOPH

toph is always seen grabbing onto someone (and its almost ALWAYS sokka) when she's somewhere where she can't use her feet to see. FEEL and ARMS cmon. look at it.

COME ON. IMAGINE TOPH SINGING THIS LINE. this line is already powerful enough in les mis but having toph, a blind character, sing it just makes the symbolism even deeper. toph sees the potential relationship they could have together. toph sees that sokka is oblivious to this. toph is not blind to the truth or the potention, but sokka is blind to her feelings. im about to lose my mind over this line.

i need to sit down for a moment. toph grew up in a household where her parents did not understand her. she has learned to hide her true emotions and vulnerabilities from everyone. and its the fact that toph knows that she and sokka will never be together and the fact that she still loves him in spite of that is what makes this even more heartbreaking.

and each time he threatened you with,, anything, you responded with, “the only one who gets to hurt & kill me, is ME”

he’s convinced you’re the biggest fool of a person. and he’d be right but even so, he has a weirdly strong need to protect you as you two got closer. you’re often with sasuke, so it’s harder to avoid you.

even with all the Horrible jokes you make on a daily basis, if your passionate side with everyone having equal rights of being treated as human, for him it shows a side of you that makes you seem precious and pure and kind hearted.

and the overprotective side increases.

which is, ,, a bit problematic sometimes cause you have the tendency to target and piss off anyone in a 10 meter range by just one (1) sassy comment, along with your lack of impulse control and blurting out everything in your mind. it’s made you a lot of short enemies in the sengoku period, and kenshin would always be ready to slice them down behind you.

sasuke has to tame him down with his Masters degree in kenshin-wrangling.

at banquets, kenshin would often have you beside him. if you’re too young for sake do age for drinking exist in sengoku? probably not. it’s more of sasuke advising for him to not give you alcoholic drinks he’ll have you pouring for him or just munching away at pickled plums or food.

(ngl i kinda had a hard time with this since it’s erasing a big part of his overall character,,, flirting)

once he heard the news that oda had taken in somone as young as you during honno-ji,, ,,,he’s in a very “how dare that demon >>:( taking such a pure soul,....”

and when you’re taken to kasugayama as a captive, you’re,,, surprisingly very calm and whelmed. you don’t have much sign of fear or anxiety in your overall demeanor meanwhile you’re busy dissociating and spacing out to feel those

you actually don’t seem to hate your captor. but shingen isn’t sure if your ‘fingerguns’ is a good thing or not cause it depicts you pointing guns @ him,, (dw is good shingen)

while yes being held hostage—no matter how good you’re being treated—isn’t ideal and kinda not very cash money, you consider shingen v chill. man has a kindheart!! “i diagnose you with good vibes.”

if he ever sees your righteous side, as everyone else, he’ll deeply admire you. he himself is someone who believes in such as well. and hearing the circumstances in the modern world regarding those things (blm, etc.) his heart truly does go out for you. he feels sympathy for such a young person like you having to take action

also your dirty humor around him, echigo’s player, kind of makes him question where and how you learnt it

and,, his illness.

through getting straight to the point and not falling for it each time he changes subject/dodges the question, you managed to get to the bottom of his illness. shingen himself thinks it’s not something you have to burden with knowing—you’re so, so young.

but that doesn’t matter to you. the world’s given you such a shit time, you’re mature enough to understand the situation at least.

and as he finishes his explanation, all there was is silence. it felt wrong to say any of your usual quips,, so all you did was slowly came there and hugged him.

that was more than what he’d ask for.

—sasuke:

oh hell yeah

you are in your element with him. the chillest guy to talk to, and probably the first one you’re the closest to

your phone was dead after like 2 days of use, and you were miserable while hideyoshi, like a typical parent, told you to go outside and into town. sensing your bad mood, sasuke asked what’s up. you deadpanned, “my phone game ended and now i’m ready to commit not breath.” you oslemnly look out in the bustling streets and clutched your fist like an Anime Protagonist, “those boomer memes were right all along... i am absolutely Miserable and Useless(^TM) without it.”

in response, you could’ve sworn he did the Anime Glasses thing as well, “then we at team Moderately Awesome Sengoku Ninja are happy to announce the launch of a DIY phone charger, made with the electricity from a fruit and the main functionality of a solar panel. and has more durability than samsung’s.”

there were Stars in your eyes now. with a big grin, you thank him, “i’d die for you, sasuke.”

“then perish.” he said with a blank look. (yukimura, in the bg: ???!!!??!??!?)

the next day he consentually breaks in through the ceiling and gives you the weird contraption. you’re now saved, soul-wise.

the memes start coming and they don’t stop coming from the two of you. in any situation. whether it’d be at a teahouse, or at a battlefield that can determine your life and death.

and you can have discussions about current world events, or the past ones, with him and he’d understand completely what you’re talking about. it’s those rare nights when you’ve been thinking and have a deep conversation with him in his room, and as an adult, it makes for interesting results as well.

the others are endlessly confused, but you’re both so unapologetically yourselves.

and he’s super protective if the circumstances are tough. he feels bad for dragging another person in the sengoku with him—much less when they’re so young like you.

if you’re enough of a lil shit, once you’re taken into kasugayama, in the nights where you can’t sleep because brain at what would be 3 am, you’d probably trudge over to his room and wake him up to tell him what kind of mind-blowing shit you realized.

—yukimura:

when he saved you from falling to your death, your reaction already set off weird Vibes inside him. what do you mean, “you stopped me from fleeing this fleeting world by the sweet embrace of death” ?!?!?! are you crazy?? yes

he doesn’t waste time getting blunt with you at all either.

once he goes into azuchi as a merchant, he silently observes you talking to sasuke for a bit. what’s with your weird language?? and crude humor???? never in his life has he met someone in your age act like that wtf

even so, he still operates on the basis of ‘‘if sasuke trusts you, i trust you’’, no matter how utterly concerned you make him feel

you have a dirtier mind than him! unsurprisingly. along with everyone else, you often tease the poor soul, a nd you’d gladly tell him what the innuendoes mean ( 69, etc.) and maybe sprinkle in some gay jokes in there

and why do you keep mentioning this “bromance between him and sasuke” ?? what us,,, a bromance????? and why is sasuke in it??

he takes you out to teahouses to eat chestnut dumplings and other desserts with you. you always seem to target the one he doesn’t like the most and have a bit of banter

he treats you much more maturely than other people your age. as in, he doesn’t pull back his punches in words most of the time. you don’t seem to around him also, it looks like.

and, he’s also very protective of you. he regards you as his little sibling, as rat as you may be. and he does care about you—he might just be a bit unwilling to say it

you think he’s very chill, if a bit unique but who were you to judge. and he is, if you ever meet him in echigo or even azuchi

his big liking to art and something of apathy to people is osmething you can respect. there’s something about that kind of Vibe that you find oddly a mood.

and oh boy oh boy you wasted no time pulling up your phone and showing images of what art is in the future. whether it’d be a screenshot of anime, fanart, aesthetic-like ones, palette-themed—the whole shabang. 

and, somehow, you were left ranting to him  about how some artists in the future get it so shitty for theft, reposting, not crediting, the list goes on (please be a decent human being to artist, sincerely the author) and he can’t help but just listen in silence and kind of thinking about how you’re so passionate about the Struggles of artists. and it isn’t something he sees often in the sengoku era—where war rules most things.

and he does find art from the modern times interesting, how they’re so different and vast in styles. and not only that, it’s not like the future only has one major style like then, each hand can draw such different pictures and still have beauty in each. he appreciates and admires that.

and he does tell you his thoughts ^ while you give your own insight. it’s so fascinating to see someone like you having strong opinions on this.

because, well, rn art is a big thing in our lives as we’re stuck inside. a part of entertainment is looking at any media of art—and he finds his view of art and yours quite the same. you two came from a time of turmoil (one moreso than the other) but still think art isn’t exactly irrelevant just because it isn’t a cure to diseases or the Ultimate Weapon.

you had to Surgically Remove him from your phone so you can use it and to stop him from draining your battery looking at the art

and he often drags you out to town and admire pieces when you’re holing yourself in too much. your comments are always unknown to him, “radical”, “that’s one i can vibe with ngl”, and the list goes on.

and you occasionally call him pretty boy as a compliment rlly

—kennyo:

when you first saw him at honno-ji, and he won’t forget the one (1) line you gave him, all you said to his warning of ooo spooky demons was, “that’s lit fam gtg tho”

and that alone was enough to stun him for a few seconds

honestly you told the others of your meeting with kennyo before they told you it could be kennyo. just a throaway line of “oh yeah there was this dude with a scar across his face.” / “,,, ,....that’s kennyo. he’s really dangerous actually—” / “oh, poggers”

you’re probably kind of half the reason the oda forces found who dun it.

and it was an eye for an eye, kennyo himself found out that you were their child chatelaine, and very close to the others. as per his villain-schedule, he kidnaps you .

he laments about how “such a pure soul such as yours is not to be stained by the demon’s hands”

oh how Wrong he was.

you were the definition of the opposite of pure. and you seemed unfazed, which surprised kennyo but shrugged it off. he was willing to face you screaming and panicking, along with shouldering the sin of doing the deed. but instead, he was met with a raised eyebrow and, “this is unexpected and probably not welcomed but what am i doing here.”

he was stunned for a moment before explaining what he can. 

“......... fuck.”

he cringed ever so slightly at your curse. but your attention seems to stray so quickly off of the fact that you were bounded and helpless, to the fact that you have the man doing unspeakable things to civilians and you absolutely don’t approve.

throwing your common sense to maybe be civilized, you went off on a rant of how human rights and how to not be an ass to him. all he could do was just listened, shocked to even cut you off.

when he did, he gave the whole ‘unsaved demon’ shtick, and you weren’t taking that kinda shit. he believed he was truly unsaved—you knew that. but that doesn’t make it okay.

eventually, he left you with a cold end of the conversation.

he admires your spirit in a way—but with what he’s experienced,,, it’s a bit of unreachable for him.

if at any point you saw the soft side of his with animals, you just gaped at him for a split second and whispered, “the gap moe is strong with this one.”

also old man died inside when you said that you’d fight god, along with many things.

all in all, to him, you’re insufferable. but weirdly,, fascinating.

motonari already knew you were interesting even when his men just spied on you. your behavior, so brash and impulsive, is going to be so fun to have, he thinks.

through some planning to stir up more chaos, he kidnaps you and brings you unto his ship. same as kennyo, you showed no clear sign of surprise, and that’s when he decided you were either used to this in any way, or a fool. both answers, he liked.

you’re kind of really confused on why he’s doing what he’d doing. “i get it, i like to stir up chaos myself but it’s harmless,, most of it—but not until the people are in danger, bitch.”

and by that line, motonari leans towards you with a deadly smirk, “now, i can bite, ‘kay kid? you don’t wanna be in the receiving end... do you?”

“do it, coward.”

and before he could let out even a wheeze of laughter, you continued on on a lecture of, again, not being a dick and letting people live their life in peace. and much less all of this damage, for what? chaos?? yeah you wanted to see the world burn but it wasn’t literally.

however, his patience was running thin. he shuts you up forcefully, and leaves.

even so, after a cooldown period, he still talks to you (,,,, well, that’s kind of a generous term) because, right he was, you were so fun in his eyes.

an interesting observation he made,,, was that you picked up on his big dislike of physical contact. and he’d think with how annoying you were at times, that you’d weaponize it. but you didn’t—in fact, you kept your space (not that you were planning to get close) and respected his boundaries.

he thinks you a bit of peculiar for that decision, some wary, and perhaps naive.

one of the days—the more dangerous ones—he was planning to take you to the oda as bait or something. and you weren’t taking it like that. two days before arrival, a storm racked up. you stood upon the edge of the ship with the rest of the crew watching you like you were a madman.

“the oda won’t want me if i’m dead, would they now?”

motonari stands in his composure, guffawing, “all i need is to make sure they believe you’re alive, kid.”

a smile that showed absolutely no fear and 1000 percent spite spread in your face, “not unless i decimate my own body until all the trail left is my blood. the only one who gets to do that shit to me, is me.”

finally, a look of wavering shows in his face.

you were saved last minute,, and the rest is history.
